It's just your finger tip, oh well
Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours. My father woke me up this morning around 07:00 hours. Got up and got changed and followed him out to Heim's Garage where he dropped off his truck to get it inspected. Went into the shed and picked up 13-2 and went to Community Medical Associates for my father to have blood drawn. Waited on him, and then we went to Dennies and had breakfast. After that went to Giant and picked up a few things and headed on home. Got home and read the paper and watched tv. Then got on the computer started on the local business's list for upcoming subscriptions. Ate lunch and then played war with my mother for an hour. Then went back out to Heim's Garage to pick up my fathers truck, and then came home. Got back on the computer and then "The Big One" came. Pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Reed Township. Since we had the ambulance at home we went responding right away. While enroute we were advised that Chief 29-3 was on the scene confirming entrapment. At this time we asked county to check on the status of Life Lion. They checked and they were not available. Got on the scene and the truck the guy was driving was demolished, and so was the school bus he hit. The guy was trapped in the truck pretty good. Along with us on the scene, there was Ambulance 13-1, Chief 13-C, both engines from 29 and Duncannon's rescue came over. Took about 30 minutes to get him out of the truck and into the ambulance, and away we went to Hershey Hospital. While enroute to the hospital we checked the guys left index finger and the tip of it was amputated. Plus we cut off the guys feather jacket, and when we cut it open in the back of the ambulance, feathers flew everywhere. Cleaned up the ambulance, and headed on home. Talked with Dohn, Carol, and Sue at the station, while Sue did her tripsheet, and then me and my father headed on home. Took a shower, and just finished eating dinner. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late, give a buzz.
