My Daily Thoughts
Saturday, May 28, 2005
Went to bed last night around 02:15 hours and woke up this morning around 09:45 hours. Got out of bed and got dressed and ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched tv then. Watched the Sands of Iwo Jima starring John Wayne until 12:05 hours, and then MacArthur came on. Got lunct at that time and watched that until 13:20 hours when me and my father left for the "Barn" and to pick up Bill. Stopped at the station and my dad got a few things and then we headed out to the Riverview Memorial Gardens for the memorial day service that they were holding. Parked the unit and headed over th the big tent and got under it as it was raining out. Called Sue on my cell phone and we talked until the service was about to begin. It was a really nice service, though it did really rain hard off and on during the service. After the service was over me and Bil stayed under the tent for a few minutes, until the rain slowed down and eventually stopped and then we headed for the refreshment table. As soon as we stepped out from under the tent, Halifax Fire Departments house siren went off, however our pagers did not. Went over to the refreshment table and got a hot dog and a soda and ate them fast figuring that we would be called out to the accident. While at the refreshment table, it was being worked by two people from the fire department and the one guy asked me why we were not dispatched. I asked him what the call was and he said it was a car into a pole with wires down on the car. I went back and told Bill and my father about it. About 15 minutes later while the three of us were standing around talking the pager went off to assist the fire department with an accident on Dividing Ridge Road. The three of us got in 13-2 and off we went class 3. Got out there and Keith Pottiger opened up my door and gave me the low down and what the problem was. After I got out Matt Danner and Marty Hoffman each gave me and Bill a report on the conditions of the two teenagers that was involved in the car. Since they were both under the age of 18, we had to wait fo their father to show up before they could sign off. Father showed up and I talked with him and explained to him what we found and what our recommendations were, and then had him sign off for both of them. After that we headed up to Shell and got disel. When we pulled in, I noticed that Amanda's car was at the shack. After we got diesl, we headed back to the shed, and logged in our times and got our times ans we stocked what we used. After that I said goodbye to Bill and wished him luck on his typing test this Tuesday down at County. After that em and my father headed home. Got home and talked with my mother for a little bit. Just finished eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk. This will be my last post until June 4th when I get back from vacation down at Ocean City Maryland. YEAH BABY, JACUZZI'S AND BIKINI'S!!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this moring around 10:00 hours, when Lewis from Keystone called. Talked to him and he will be sending the right bulbs for 13-1 now. After I was donw with him i ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. After that I called Dohn and Carol and thanked them for the birthday card and told Carol that me and my dad could do the memorial serivce tomorrow, and then I told Dohn about the bulbs. After that I packed my suitcase with whar I could right now, I still have a few things to pack Sunday morning before I leave for my grandparents house. After that I started up the PS2 and Bill called and wished me a Happy Birthday. Him and me talked for a while, and he told me that Amanda was now taking classes at HACC and a High School in the evening from 6 to 10 to finish up her EMT class. When I heard that I was estatic that HACC did that and I was happy for Amanda, knowing that she will now be able to finish the course. After I was done talking with Bill I called Sue's cell phone and left a voice message to have her call me back so we could discuss the issue of my practice practical time with Amanda. After that I got on the PS2 and the ate lunch while I played also. My dad came home and then him and me raced against each other for about 1 1/2 hours. Just got of around 17:15 hours. He got changed into uniform and will be going to get the unit soon and brining it out to the house. Dinner will soon be ready for me. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Late tonight me and my mother will be heading into Giant to pick up the things I am taking down with me on vacation. Will be 0n after we get back then. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Counting down the days
Went to bed last night around 02:15 hours after spending about two hours reading in bed. Got up this morning around 10:20 hours and got changed and ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. Around 12:00 hours I got on the PS2 and played for about 5 hours just getting off around 17:00 hours. While I was on the PS2, I ate a light lunch and then helped my mother water the flowers she had just planted. Got back on the PS2 and played until I got off. Dinner should soon be ready for me to eat and I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Around 19:40 hours I will be heading into town, stopping at Giant first, then heading down to my hiar dresser to get my hair cut 20:00 hours. After I am done there, I will be stopping at the "Barn" to install the new brake light in 13-1. After that I will be heading home. Got an eventful day ahead of me tomorrow. First of all it is my 20th Birthday. That's right, 20 years ago tomorrow, I will have been brought into this world. Second of all I will be spending a good amount of time packing for vacation and making sure I have everything I need before I leave. Then I work a 24 hour shift on Saturday, my last shift of the month. Looking forward to vacation, take some time to relax, and enjoy the beach. Then after vacation I got a few things lined up with the County Convention and Amanda's graduration and meeting Sue's folks for the first time. Then if all goes well Amanda's state test for the EMT. Oh well getting way ahead of myself there. Will be on for a little bitm then away for about an hour, then back on. WIll be on late tonight then, so give a buzz if you want to talk.

POP! SMASH! Goes the window
Around 21:55 hours last night the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. Since the on-duty crew for the night was already out, and I was already dressed I headed on in. I was able to get ahould of Scott and I met him at the station and we jumped in 13-1 and off we went. Got on the scene and the Medic 6 showed up and we took the guy down to Hershey Hospital. Got home and had a piece of my birthday cake and finished up my email and then went to bead around 01:30 hours. Got up this morning around 10:30 hours and got changed and ate breakfast, read the paper and watched a little tv. Around 11:45 hours the pager went off for a fall person in Millersburg Borough, at the Health Center. Got my boots on and got in my car and off I went. I had just passed Dohn and Carol's house when Ambulance 20-2 went back inservice and went responding, and we were cancelled. So I turned off my blue light and continued on into Giant and picked up some milk and ice tea, then went back to the "Barn". At the shed I did my paperwork from the call last night. Bill then showed up followed by Marshall. Marshall installed the county equipment. He finished and then Bill showed me the program for a little bit. Around 15:00 hours, I headed for home. When I got home my mother told me she had some news about vacation. She said that the hotel where we are staying at called my brother today. SHe told me that they asked him if he wanted a room beside Jean Hocker (my grandmother) and he said yes. They asked him if he wanted to go with the penthouse suite for the same price as the two rooms. Of course he said yes and then they told him about the room. It has a full sized living room, a kitchen with a dinning table that can seat 10 people, two bedrooms with two queen size beds in each one, two bathrooms (one for each bedroom), and a balcony with our own personel 4 person jacuzzi. So now I am really looking foward to going down. Anyway, so my father then came home and we went up to Hoffmans and picked up the mower now that it was done. We put it in the back of my fathers truck and he placed the cargo bar across the bed of his truck and made sure it was secure and off we went. Well, as we turned onto Sally Ann Drive, which is an incline, the mower shifted backwards, knocking the cargo bar lose and proceeded to strike the back window of the cap, busting it out. So when we got home we spent about an hour cleaning it up and covering my dads window up. After that we ran into the shed and picked up the unit and brought it out to the house here. Just finished eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk. And rememberl, only two more days until my BIRTHDAY!

Busy Morning
Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and the pager went off sometime in the early morning for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I listned to it for a little bit, then fell asleep. Woke up maybe about 30 minutes later and reset the pager and went back to bed. Then around 06:30 hours my father called and had me do some things for him on his computer, then I went back to bed. Around 08:15 hours the pager went off for and ill person in Perry County. I waited 4 minutes then got out of bed and started getting dressed. As I was putting my pants on they cancelled us, so I got undressed and went back to bed. Then around 08:30 hours the pager went off again for chest pains in Halifax Township at Community Medical Associates. Got out of bed again and got dressed and got in my car nad headed for the station. Got in there and Carol was waiting for me in 13-2. Got in and off we went. Got on the scene the same time that Medic 6 did, and we took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. Got what we needed down there and headed on home. Dropped the medic off to pick up his squad, then went to Sheetz and Carol got breakfast and I got a Yohoo to drink. We then headed back to the "Barn". Carol stayed for a little bit and then took the uint home. I stayed and did my paperwork for the call. After I was done I headed on home and watched a little tv, then got on the PS2 and ate lunch. Got off of the PS2 around 17:00 hours and took a shower. Eating dinner now and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
Oh You Know Scott, I Pity You
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was woken up this morning around 05:45 hours for abdominal pains behind the Fisherville Fire Station. Carol called the house and asked if my father had left for work yet and my mother said yes and she hung up. About 3 minutes later, my father called and asked if I was going and I said no that I was not on call today, and he hung up then. Reset the pager and went back to bed. I got up around 10:35 hours and took a shower and then ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. Around 11:45 hours Carol called and asked me if I wanted to be on call for the rest of the day and I said yes. So at 12:00 hours I got dressed and headed back and got on the computer. Around 12:30 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and headed out to Carol's house and met up with Dohn and Bill. We got in 13-2 and off we went. Got on the scene and it involved two cars. We ended up taking bott Pt's down in our ambulance, with Bill treating the 19 year old and me treating the 20 year old. Took them both down to Harrisburg Hospial. Got what we needed down there and then headed home. Stopped at McDonalds on front street and the three of us got lunch, then headed back to the "Barn". We stopped at shell and got disel and then went out to Dohn's and picked up our cars. I went to Sheetz and got gas in my vehicle and then went back to the station and did my paperwork on my Pt. I put two backboards and supplies in my car and took them out to Dohn's house and placed them in 13-2, then headed home. Got home and got changed and talked with my mother for a little bit. I then ate dinner and then got dressed and headed into the station for training. When I got there, my dad, Bill, Dohn, and Carol were all there. We had training and then me, Bill, Dohn, and Carol talked for awhile then I headed home. Just finished eating a snack and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you wan to talk.

County, Utility 216, Responding.
Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours as I was tired. I got up this moring around 10:30 hours and went out and ate breakfast, read the paper and wacthed a little tv. Around 11:30 hours, my father gave me his birhtday present that he got for me. I opened it and it was another racing game for the PS2. I popped it into the PS2 right away and played it while my father watched. After a little while he decided to race against me, which we did. While we were racing, Bill called. He told me that he had just got my message that I had left on his cell phone last night. He told me that he had called Dohn and Dohn told him that it was ok. So I finished up the race, and got dressed and put a few things in my car, including my new leather fire gloves that I placed in my "Halifax Rescue" coat. My father gave me the 4 flip books to put in both uints. I headed into town and up to Giant where I picked up 5 cases of Pepsi One for $10.00. After that I headed back to the "Barn" and did my paperwork for the structure fire early yesterday morning. Finished up there and started on my way home. As I was coming up on Dohn and Carol's house, the pager went off for an electrical fire in Halifax Township. Since I was not on duty for the ambulance today, and I was not far from the station, I headed for the fire station. I pulled into the station and threw my sunglasses off and they landed in the car some where. I turned the car off (very important) and popped my trunk and grabbed my coat and helmet and headed into the station. I jumped in the back seat of the engine as Bubba was pulling it out of the station. He told me that he was not going along, because he was heading to work. After the engine was pulled out I ran back to my car and grabbed my cell phone and shoved it in my pocket. I then went back to the engine and started to get in. As I was getting in Bubba called my name and told me to come in the station for a minute. So thinking that I was being bumped off of the engine, I grabbed my helmet and my jacket was hall on me and I proceeded into the station. Bubba told me that I was going to be taking the Utility. I said what? And he said your going to take the Utility. I said ok, and he started it up and I hoped in. He went around to the passengers side and leaned in and said that he would call me in and I would only have to go arriving and returning. As he was talking to me, his wife said that my dad was on the way to go. Bubba said ok and told me that I would be taking my father with me in the Utility. My dad finally showed up and came to the passenegrs side and sat his helmet on the seat and looked at me and said "What are you doing?" I said Bubba told me to take the Utility. To which he said, "Do you want me to drive?" To which I said, Bubba told me to take the Utility, get in. He got in and off we went, he worked the siren, while I drove. We got about as far as Kiner's when they help it to company 29 and truck 20, placing the rest of us in service. We turned around at Kiner's and headed back to the station and I backed the Utility in and shut her down. Boy what a rush that was, and a surprise. I was totally shocked when Bubba told me that I would be driving the Utility. Next time I see him, I am going to thank him for allowing me to drive. The engine came back and we talked for a little bit and then me and my dad headed home. Got home and unloaded the soda and then told my mother that I got to drive the Utility. Since I was on a high, I also called Bill and told him what I got to do. After I got off with him I got back on the PS2 and played my other nrew game I got for my birthday. Ate dinner and just finished writing thank you notes. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
FIRE SHOWING SIDES A AND D!!
Sue got off with me around 23:20 hours and about 5 minutes later the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. Sue met Dohn and Carol at the post office and I listened to it for a little bit and then reset the pager and layed down in bed to read. Went to bed around 01:00 hours. Around 02:50 hours the pager went off for a unconscious person in Perry County. I grabbed the pager and listened to it while I was in bed. I must have drifted off to sleep while holding the pager, because the next thing I knew around 03:18 hours, my father came over and hit the bottom of my foot and told me to get up and get dressed for the second call. About the time I got out of bed, Fisherville's house siren went off. Hurridely got dressed and me and my father headed into the station to get the unit and head out. While we were heading in, we heard that it was for a residental structure fire. MICU 6-7 arrived on the scene with heavy fire blowing out the windows. We went responding and quickly loaded up rehab supplies. We then headed on out and got behind Millersburg's tanker. Engine 29 had set up a fill site at Heim's garage for the tanker shuttel. Gon on the scene and set up rehad and then grabbed the first due bag and I headed up and set up shop in front of Engine 216 to monitor the firefighters going in and coming out of the building and to keep a watch out for anyone that might become injured. My father stayed down at the uint with the rehab supplies. Boy did that fire ever get moving. House was completely gutted and is a total loss. Only one perons inside the house on the lower floor when it started and she got out uninjured. Checked on her and she stated that she was fine and then went back to assessing the firefighters. We were on the scene for about five and a hlaf hours this morning, until we were released by fire command. Dohn and Carol were kind enough to bring out more ice for us after they went avaliable from the Perry County call. Took the unit back to the "Barn" and logged our times in and unloaded the unit and cleaned it up, then went home. Got home and changed, my father took a shower and we both grabbed something to eat and headed on down to the expo. My mother dropped us off and we went inside. Spent about 4 hours inside and I spent a little over $100.00 on two books, two sets of cards, a calander of the hottest female firefighters and EMT's and had two of the models sign it for me, and a pair of leather fire gloves. As we were coming to the end, we ran into Sue and Amanda. Talked to them for a few minutes and then they had to leave as Amanda had to be at work at 15:00 hours. Saw 29's new tanker down there. It is nice looking, but I still think ours is better looking. After we were done, my mother and brother picked us up out front and headed back to my grandparents house. Once there we ordered 3 pizzas from Pizza Hut. We celebrated my birthday today. After the pizza, I opened my gifts and then we had CAKE. Left their house around 19:00 hours and headed on home. Came home and unloaded everything and sorted throught our expo stuff, then I took a shower. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

You got us out of bed for this
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:30 hours for a physcatric person in Halifax Township. Got out of bed and did the five minute dance and then got changed and jumped in the car and headed off to the "Barn". Got into the shed and pulled 13-2 out and turned it around and about that time Dohn showed up and we went responding. Got on the scene and PSP was already there. Turns out an elderly lady was in a dumpster that was no her property, digging through it looking for her things that her daughter and husband had thrown out. PSP advised us that there was nothing they could do as she was not committing any crime. We got out and Dohn talked to the lady and I talked to the daughter. The lady did not want to get out of the dumpster and go inside and get out of the rain. The daughter went into a long story about how her mother had been acting lately and told me and Dohn of various instances when she has done things. We advised them that at this point there was nothing we could do either. We explained to them that only crisis has the authority to observe someone and advise the faimly that, that person should be checked out. Crisis had already called the house and said that they were sending up two people and that they would be there around 08:30 hours. We advised the family to tell crisis what all they observed and then we left. Me and Dohn ran up to Sheetz and picked up breakfast, and then went back to the station and stayed there and ate breakfast as we figured we would be heading back up there to take the lady down to the hospital once crisis got there. Sure enough around 08:56 hours the pager went off for a 302 in Halifax Township. Carol came in this time and she got on and we headed on back to the house. We got there PSP had already gotten her out of the dumpster and had her inside the house. We loaded her up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. Got what we needed down there and headed on home. Stopped at the shed and Bill was there, we moved 13-1 outside and then Dohn and Carol did their tripsheets while the four of us talked. Left the station around 13:00 hours and headed home. Ate lunch and then got on the PS2 until 17:00 hours. Got off and took a shower and am now eating dinner. Will be hitting the old email here shortly and surfing the net. Got a big day tomorrow with expo and celebrateing my birthday at my grandparents. Then only one more week until I go on vacation. FUN, FUN, FUN. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
New Tanker
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this moring around 10:40 hours. Got changed and ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. At 12:00 hours my mother took her van out to the garage in Fisherville to have it serviced and I followed her out and brought her home. After I dropped her off, I headed into Rite Aid and dropped of two presciptions and picked them up 10 minutes later. Then I headed over to Giant and picked up a few things and then headed back to the station. Dohn, Bill, Carol, and Candy were already there. Took my food into the kitchen and put it in the fridge and then unloaded the supplies and put them away. Dohn and Carol finished up painting and then Carol took Candy to get her hair cut. I hosed off the units and then my father stopped. We talked about a few things and then I headed home. My father took my mother out to pick up her van. I took a shower and then got on the PS2 and ate dinner. At 18:50 hours the fire pager went off for an emergency work detail at the fire station. I got dressed and headed on up to the station and my father followed closely behind. Swab's gave us the new tanker for the evening. Boy is it ever a nice looking piece. There are however a few moderate problems with it that need to be addressed with Swab's. Well for started they did not put the drain plug in, so we can't fill the tank until they do. Second, we need a bigger alternator. When we have all the warning lights on and fire up the old Federal Q, it overloads the alternator and shuts down all the warning lights except the lightbar on the cab roof. It also does this when we lower the dump tank. A few minor things, other than that, it looks great. Came home then and watched the season finale of CSI while I ate my snack, and then watched the season finale of ER. Just took the trash out and getting ready to hit up the old email and surf the net for a little. Will be on late, so give a buzz if you want to talk.

As we were passing the Tourist Park Pub, the pager went off for a fall person in Halifax Township. We went responding right away I called the station to see if Bill wanted to meet us on the scene and go along down. He said no he was going to stay at the station. Got to the scene and we decided to call Bill and Carol to come out and help us lift the guy up onto the stretcher. Took him down to Harrisburg Hospital and got what we needed down there and headed on back. Got back to the station and did my paperwork from the Millersburg call and then did a few things on the computer. I then went out and helped tape up the windows so Dohn and Carol could paint the trim around them. We finished up in there around 20:00 hours and we all left at the same time. Just finished eating my snack and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late so give a buzz if you want to talk.

They stopped for a lunch break, and the Tuesday Supper Club showed up and started setting up. After that, me, Bill, Dohn, and Carol worked on getting the business subscriptions ready to be mailed out in June. Got home and was talking with my mother when the pager went off for a kitchen fire in Halifax Township. Jumped in my car and met Bill at Carol's house. Jumped in and took off for the station. Stopped at the station and picked up water and gatorade and then continued to the scene. My father had jumped on Fisherville's engine and went with them. Was there for about an hour and then went back to Carol's house and picked up our cars. I headed home and was just turning onto our street when the pager went off for an unresponsive person in Jackson Township. Turned around and went back to Carol's house and met Bill there and off we went. Got on the scene and took her down to Osteo and got what we needed down there and headed on home. Dropped the medic off at our station and then ran out and picked up our cars. Headed back into the station to get stuff ready for the meeting. Ate dinner during the meeting. After the meeting talked for a little bit with Sue, Dohn, Carol, Bill and Scott. After that I got gas at Sheetz and headed home. Got home and took a shower and in while I was shaving, I slipped and fell in the tub. Right now my back is bothering me and I have a headache. Just finished eating my snack and am now checking my email. Will be on for a while tonight, so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Smoke Gets in My Eyes
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. Got out of bed and took a shower and then ate breakfast while I checked a few things on the internet. Got dressed and left the house around 07:50 hours and headed up to Fishervilles station to help out with the chicken BBQ this morning. Spent most of the morning up there with only taking a short break to run a chicken home to my father. After I was finished there I headed into the "Barn" to help Amanda wiht going over her EMT stuff. Dohn and Bill were already there when I got there. Amanda showed up and we started going over scenarios and stuff. Sue then showed up and watched and helped out. I must say I did a very good impresion of a drunk person, and NO I HAVE NEVER BEEN DRUNK! While we were doing that Scott texted me and I called him back and he asked if I could cover for him tonight and of course I said yes. So after we finished in there, I talked with Amanda a little bit before she left, then Sue, and then finally Bill. Came home and got changed and my mother ordered a pizza from Pizza Delight and me and her ran in and picked it up. Eating my pizza now and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Pain in the Back
Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and got up this moring around 09:30 hours. Got dressed and ate breakfast and read the paper. As I was starting on the comics, the pager went off for back pains in Halifax Township. Got my boots on and headed out to Dohn's house. Got there and met up with Dohn and we jumped in 13-1 and off we went. Got to the scene and ended up calling the fire department out to help us get he out of the house. The reason we did it, was because she had thrown her back out and was unable to get up onto the stretcher, so we had the fire department come out and help us get her on the stretcher and then help us get her out of the house. Loaded her up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. Got what we needed down there and headed on home. Dohn ran me out to his house and I picked up my car and headed back into the "Barn" to do my paperwork from that call. Did my paper work and headed on home. Got home and read the rest of the paper and then talked with my mother for a little bit. Got on the PS2 then and played for a few hours. My father came home and we ran out to Dohn's and picked up the unit and brought it out to the house her. Getting ready to eat dinner soon, and then watch the race. Will be back online after the race is over. Will be on late tongiht then, so give me a buzz if you want to talk.
An Angel out of Heaven
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:40 hours. Ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. After that I got dressed and ran into town. I stopped at Rite Aid and dropped of a perscription for my mother and then ran over to Giant and picked up some mini carnations for amanda. Ran out to their house and her and Sue had already left for Lykens to get Amanda's hair done for the prom tonight. Called Sue on her cell phone and talked to her for a little bit and they she said they would be back sometime after two. So I went out to the "Barn" and met up with Bill there. He was doing his one tripsheet form yesterday, so I did some work on the other computer until he was done. After he had finished, I did my two tripsheets from yesterday. While I was doing the narrative of my second tripsheet, Sue and Amanda stopped by on their way home and popped in. Sue mainly stopped because she had to use the restroom, Amanda had her stop so she could see me. Boy did her hair and nails ever look beautiful. When they went out to Sue's car I gave Amanda the flowers. She seemed a little surprised when I gave them to her. Told her to have a good time tonight and enjoy it and I would see her Sunday afternoon for class. Went back inside and finished up my tripsheet and then Bill fixed his tripsheet. After that Bill ran home for about 20 minutes and then came back to the station. Around 15:30 hours me and Bill left and headed on down to City Island to meet up with my father for the baseball game tonight. Got down there and my father had just gotten there himself. Went over to the gate and we were the first people there so we ended up wating almost an hour but it was worth it. Once we got in we went to the "Bull Pen Cafe" and enjoyed a nice dinner until game time. Satyed for about 6 innings and the left for home to beat the traffic. Stopped at Giant on the way home and picked up salad and milk while my father picked up my mothers medication. After that my father dropped me off at the station so I could pick up my car, and then I headed home. Took a shower and just finished eating my snack. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

That did not last long as the pager rocked me out of bed around 09:30 hours for chest pains in Jackson Township at Harman Stove Company. Started to head for the "Barn" when the pager went off for a call in Lykens. Stopped at the station and quickly throw my lunch and ice tea in the fridge. As I went back out to my car, we got cancelled for that call and dispatched for a natural cover fire in Washington Township. Headed on out to Dohn's house, got there, put us enroute and we were placed in service right away. Dohn went back into the house and I got back in my car and headed back to the shed. Got about 1 minute away from Dohn's house when the pager went off for an allergic reaction in Upper Paxton Township. Turned around and went back to the house and we went responding. Got up this moring around 09:30 hours when the tree removal people arrived at the house and were backing thier truck into the yard. Got dressed and went outside and talked to them and watched them do thier work. It took them about 1 1/2 hours to cut down 3 pine trees that have taken over 20 years to grow to the height they were at. After that left I came inside and read the paper and watched a little tv. Then around 12:00 hours I got on the PS2 and played and also ate lunch. Got off the PS2 around 17:10 hours when my father came home with the ambulance. Got home and just finished eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Also will be waiting for Sue to get on tonight so I can talk to her about a few things. Escort Duty
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and had my father wake me up around 06:30 hours this moring. Got up and took a shower and then ate breakfast and read the paper. Around 08:30 hours we left the house and headed over to Dohn's house to pick up the unit, then headed on down to Harrisburg and the Reserve Center for our escort duty for today. Got down there a little early and waited for the bus to pull out. We esctored the bus along with a car from PSP down to a reserve base in York, where the bus picked up 8 more U.S. Soliders. After they pciked the men up, we then continued to escort the bus down to the Maryland line and then we pulled off and let them go on their own. After talking with the trooper for a little bit, we found a place in Maryland to turn around and started on home. Stopped at a McDonald's on the way home so my father could use the restroom and I grabbed something to eat. After that we headed on home. Ran out to Dohn's house and I picked up my car, and then headed back in to the "Barn", so my father could do his tripsheet from the other night. While he was there I ran up to Giant and picked up a few things that we needed at home, then headed back to the shed. Took my dad home and helped him get the riding lawn mower ready for him to mow. Took a shower while my father nowed the lawn. My father brought the unit out to the house tonight since he is on. Just finished eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give me a buzz if you want to talk.
What a Race Tonight
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:50 hours. Ate a quick breakfast and read the paper, then went back to watch my dad race on the PS2. I was back there only 20 minutes, when the pager went off for a sick person in Jackson Township. Got out to my car and took off for Dohn's house. Got there and met Dohn and off we went. While we were heading out Rutter Road, we got run off the side of the road by a truck coming in the opposite direction. Got on the scene and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. Waited about 30 minutes down at Harrisburg for a bed and then another 15 minutes to give report. Not a very good experience down there today. Got what we needed and headed on home. Stopped at Shell and got diesel for the unit and then Dohn took me out to his house to pick up my car and then I headed back into the "Barn" to do my paperwork for this call. When I got in there I saw who the wedding reciption was for and I was surprised. All I can say is Congradulations Shelly and Andrew. Finished my paperwork and headed on home. Got home and my fruit basket for my mother had come while I was gone and boy was she surprised when she got it. Just finished watched the race at Darlington and boy what a race and what a finish. Once he got there I headed on up to Sheetz and got gas and lunch, then headed down to Rite Aid and picked up a mothers day card, and then stopped at Long's and ordered my mother a fruit basaket to be delivered tomorrow to the house. After that I headed on back to the station and heled set up for the wedding tomorrow. Once home I did a little computer work, took a shower and ate dinner and then headed back into the station to do some EMT class work with Amanda and her partener. Bill came and helped out for a little bit, but then had to leave. While we were pratcing, we got a call for an allergic reaction in Halifax Township. Our class was abruptley adjourned for the evening as me and Sue headed on out to the scene. Got there and my dad and Carol showed up in 13-1 and Medic 6 showed up. The guy decided not to go down as he was not having a sever reaction. Took Sue back out to the station to clean up from class and the four of us talked for a little bit. Then took Sue back out to her house and we talked for about almost two hours at her house. I hope that we can really help Amanda and her partner make it through the pratical, as it is obvious that she will not be getting the help at school. Oh well, doing a few thing online, then going to hit the sack, pulling a 24 tomorrow.

Jeff Gordon Wins
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this moring around 09:30 hours. Ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. After that I took a shower and then got dressed and headed into Giant to pick up a few things that we needed. Came home and changed again and played on the PS2 for a little bit then got off and made lunch and sat down to watch the race. Boy what a race it was. On lap 133 they had the big wreck, involving 25 cars. Then on lap 193 they had another wreck, involving about 7 cars. My boy won the race, Jeff Gordon. Around 17:34 hours, Carol called and told me that they would have the unit at their house tonight and tomorrow. After the race was over, around 17:43 hours, I went back to my room to get changed into my uniform. As i was getting ready to put my pants on the pager went off for a physcartic person in Halifax Township. Finished getting dressed and got in my car and took off. Carol called me onthe radio and told me to head to the scene which I did. We met Scott on the scene. The lady was not going to go down, so we talked to her for about an hour and she still would not go down. At that point there was nothing we could do, so we had her husband sign off and we left. Stopped at the station and logged my time in and fixed a tripsheet from the other day. My dad was in there and we talked for a little bit, and then I headed home. Just finished eatting dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
