FIRE SHOWING SIDES A AND D!!
Sue got off with me around 23:20 hours and about 5 minutes later the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. Sue met Dohn and Carol at the post office and I listened to it for a little bit and then reset the pager and layed down in bed to read. Went to bed around 01:00 hours. Around 02:50 hours the pager went off for a unconscious person in Perry County. I grabbed the pager and listened to it while I was in bed. I must have drifted off to sleep while holding the pager, because the next thing I knew around 03:18 hours, my father came over and hit the bottom of my foot and told me to get up and get dressed for the second call. About the time I got out of bed, Fisherville's house siren went off. Hurridely got dressed and me and my father headed into the station to get the unit and head out. While we were heading in, we heard that it was for a residental structure fire. MICU 6-7 arrived on the scene with heavy fire blowing out the windows. We went responding and quickly loaded up rehab supplies. We then headed on out and got behind Millersburg's tanker. Engine 29 had set up a fill site at Heim's garage for the tanker shuttel. Gon on the scene and set up rehad and then grabbed the first due bag and I headed up and set up shop in front of Engine 216 to monitor the firefighters going in and coming out of the building and to keep a watch out for anyone that might become injured. My father stayed down at the uint with the rehab supplies. Boy did that fire ever get moving. House was completely gutted and is a total loss. Only one perons inside the house on the lower floor when it started and she got out uninjured. Checked on her and she stated that she was fine and then went back to assessing the firefighters. We were on the scene for about five and a hlaf hours this morning, until we were released by fire command. Dohn and Carol were kind enough to bring out more ice for us after they went avaliable from the Perry County call. Took the unit back to the "Barn" and logged our times in and unloaded the unit and cleaned it up, then went home. Got home and changed, my father took a shower and we both grabbed something to eat and headed on down to the expo. My mother dropped us off and we went inside. Spent about 4 hours inside and I spent a little over $100.00 on two books, two sets of cards, a calander of the hottest female firefighters and EMT's and had two of the models sign it for me, and a pair of leather fire gloves. As we were coming to the end, we ran into Sue and Amanda. Talked to them for a few minutes and then they had to leave as Amanda had to be at work at 15:00 hours. Saw 29's new tanker down there. It is nice looking, but I still think ours is better looking. After we were done, my mother and brother picked us up out front and headed back to my grandparents house. Once there we ordered 3 pizzas from Pizza Hut. We celebrated my birthday today. After the pizza, I opened my gifts and then we had CAKE. Left their house around 19:00 hours and headed on home. Came home and unloaded everything and sorted throught our expo stuff, then I took a shower. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
