New Tanker
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this moring around 10:40 hours. Got changed and ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. At 12:00 hours my mother took her van out to the garage in Fisherville to have it serviced and I followed her out and brought her home. After I dropped her off, I headed into Rite Aid and dropped of two presciptions and picked them up 10 minutes later. Then I headed over to Giant and picked up a few things and then headed back to the station. Dohn, Bill, Carol, and Candy were already there. Took my food into the kitchen and put it in the fridge and then unloaded the supplies and put them away. Dohn and Carol finished up painting and then Carol took Candy to get her hair cut. I hosed off the units and then my father stopped. We talked about a few things and then I headed home. My father took my mother out to pick up her van. I took a shower and then got on the PS2 and ate dinner. At 18:50 hours the fire pager went off for an emergency work detail at the fire station. I got dressed and headed on up to the station and my father followed closely behind. Swab's gave us the new tanker for the evening. Boy is it ever a nice looking piece. There are however a few moderate problems with it that need to be addressed with Swab's. Well for started they did not put the drain plug in, so we can't fill the tank until they do. Second, we need a bigger alternator. When we have all the warning lights on and fire up the old Federal Q, it overloads the alternator and shuts down all the warning lights except the lightbar on the cab roof. It also does this when we lower the dump tank. A few minor things, other than that, it looks great. Came home then and watched the season finale of CSI while I ate my snack, and then watched the season finale of ER. Just took the trash out and getting ready to hit up the old email and surf the net for a little. Will be on late, so give a buzz if you want to talk.
