Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. We were cancelled so I reset my pager anf got up. It was 10:00 hours. I read the paper and watched some tv. Around 11:15 hours I went back and got on the PS2 and played "Burnout 2: Point of Impact". Around 12:00 hours I made lunch and then ate while I played on the PS2. I got off around 16:45 hours and took a nice cold shower to cool me down as it was getting hot back in the office. I then got back on after I got out of the shower. I ate dinner while I played and then got off around 19:00 hours and came out to watch "Trauam Life in the ER" While that was one, around 19:20 hours the pager went off for bleeding in Halifax Borough. I went back to my room to grab my portable and call Carol on the phone, when the phone rang. I answered and it was Carol. She said that she was in at the station and the she was not sure if Kim was going or not. She said that Dohn was at a meeting and she did not know if Scott was home. I called Kim's house and the phone was busy. I called Carol back and told her this and then asked my father if he could go, he got up and started heading back to the bedroom when Kim came on the radio. I answered him and he asked if I could get someone to go for him, and I said that 203 was. My father finished getting dressed and then headed for the scene as I told Carol to go responding. After that was over I finished watching 'Trauma". Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give me a buzz if you want to talk. And I wish the best of luck to AMANDA tomorrow on her State written test.
It's getting HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning aroun d 10:00 hours. I went out and ate breakfast, read the paper and watched tv. After I was done with that I got changed and headed into Blockbuster to rent some video games using the gift card that Sue and Amanda fave me for my birthday. I got in there and dropped a perscription off for my moother at Rite Aid and then went up to Blockbuster. I found three games and I have them for one week now. After I was done in there, I went back over to Rite Aid and picked up my mothers medication. After that I headed on home. I picked up the mail on my way in. After I got changed, I made lunch and got on the PS2 and started playing the games that I rented. I took a shower around 17:00 hours and then ate dinner around 18:00 hours. As I went out into the kitchen to get my soda for dinner, the phone rang. I answered and it wa Carol. She wanted to know if I could cover from 18:00 hours to 22:00 hours. Of course I said yes. So after I got my soda, I changed into my uniform. I got off the PS2 around 19:00 hours and came out to watch "Trauma, Life in the ER" Around 17:30 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Jackson Township. I got on the radio and told Bill that I was heading to the scene, since it was right in thr town of Fisherville. I got on the scene and grabbed my bag and went into the house. I know the lady and I knew a couple of the people at the house that came to help the lady. Bill and Dohn then showed up with 13-1 along with Medic 6. We took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After getting what we needed down there we headed on back home. Dohn dropped me off at my car in town here and then dropped the medic of at the squad. I then headed on home. Once home I changed and had some ice cream and got back on the PS2. Just got off the PS2 for the night and am going to be hitting the sack soon. Catch everyone on the flip side.

My dad then came home from running 13-1 back into the station. After I was done eating and reading, I got on the computer and did some work and looked at some pictures online. He then went in after 13-1 and I grabbed something to drink. Around 12:30 hours I got dressed and left the house and headed for Sue's house. I first stopped at the hardware store and picked up some wood screws for my father that he asked me to pick up. Then I went over to Rite Aid and dropped of a perscription. I then went to Giant and picked up some flowers for Amanda and to 20 oz. bottles of Mountain Dew for myself. After that I went to Sue's house for Amanda's Graduration Party/Going Away Party. When I got there I parked my car and threw on my Hooters University Hat and knocked on the front door. Amanda answered and I gave her the flowers and that's when she said "You have a thing for flowers, don't you?" I came inside and sat down and starting talking with family that was there, then I had something to eat. Amanda made this sugar cookie pie with cream chesse on top of it and strawberries and kiwi on top. OH MY GOD was that ever delicous. Lori then showed up with the baby and I got to zee it and Amanda was holding it a lot since she is leaving this Friday for college. Some of her family left around 16:00 hours and then me, Amanda, Sue, Lori, and Bob's sister and one brother talked in the kitchen while we ate cake. I left the house around 17:30 hours. Before I left Amanda ran upstairs and came back down with a shirt she had got me from down at Ocean City Maryland. THANK YOU AMANDA FOR THE SHIRT! I want to wish you luck on your State Written exam this week Amanda and remember not to read to far into the questions. I left the house and stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then I went to Rite Aid and picked up my medication and then I went over to Giant again and picked up some iced tea for me. I then headed on home. Once home I changed and sat down and watched the end of the race. Tony Stweart won the race at Sears Point Road Course. My guys did not do so well having problems with transmission's. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
Amanda Nornhold, future EMT!
First let me start off by saying a hearty congrats to my best friend, and sis Amanda, for passing your state practical test. When things were looking down on you and you thought you would not finush the class, with help from your mother, myself, Dohn and Bill, you were given new hope that there were many people, some close to you that were committed to see you pass this course and become an emt. From doing practical with myself, to going to HACC and Hampden Township to finish the course, and with your mother and myself leading the way to see that you could get an opportunity like this. The time and dedication that you put into this these past couple of weeks, spending your nights at HACC and Hampden Township going over the end of the course, you are to be highly commended. Where other teens your age would have shurgged it off as "I will never finish this course", or "I don't want to waste my nights", you stuck with it. All of this leading up to this past week. Passing you HACC final practical, HACC final written test, and now you State Practical, is something to be proud of. I have the most highest confidence that you will pass the State written test with flying colors. You are a wonderful young women and will do well with this profession. From one EMT to a future one, I say congrats on joining a long line of dedicated people such as yourself, to serveing the public need.
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I ate breakfast, read the paper and watched a little tv. After that I got on the PS2 and played football again. Once again my Hailfax Wildcats beat the New England Patriots, 255 to 20, extendung my overall record for the season to 9-0-0., which ties me in first in the AFC with the Colts. I made lunch while I played. Then while I was playing around 03:00 hours the fire pager which I had with me went off for a motorcycle accident at the top of Peters Mountain Road. Me and my father got dressed and headed on into the station incase they needed the second unit. We pulled into the "Barn" when they said that EMS could come in class 3, so we decided to head on home. Once home I got back on the PS2 and started playing again. ABout 30 minutes later the pager went back off again for a fall person in Jackson Township. Me and my father headed back into the station again and picked up 13-1 and headed on back out this way. We got there and the lady only needed help getting back up off of the floor. He kids did not want to help her up incase she had hurt anything when she fell and thay wanted us to check her out. She stated that she flet fine and was not hurt anywhere. We went available and headed back into the station so my father could put his truck inside the station for the night. After we did that we headed back home. Once home I got back on the PS2 again and finished up my football game while I ate dinner. I then got off around 19:00 hours and came out and watched Cops until about 20:10 hours when the pager went off for an unconscious person in Halifax Borough. Me and my father got in 13-1 and off we went. We met Sue on the scene and then Medic 6 showed up. The guy did not want to go down to the hospital, even though she should have. In the end he decided not to go down. So we went available and headed back to the station. I logged my times in and Sue started her tripsheet, while my dad looked up a few things on the internet. I had just pulled a photo album down to look at the pictures, when the pager went off for a CVA in Wayne Township. We got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there followed by Medic 6. She did not want to go down to the hospital either. She was not really in a real state of need that she had to go down right now, even the medic thought so. After we got out signatures, we headed back to the station again. Sue finished up her tripsheet, while my father finished looking things up on the net. We left the station around 23:30 hours. When we came out the back office door, a toad was hoping along the cement, so I called Sue over and she freaked out. I teased her about it and then we left. Came home and made somne popcorn. Going to do a quick check of my email, then I am hitting the sack, I have Amanda's graduration/going away party to go to tomorrow afternoon. Catch you all on the flip side.

Around 10:00 hours that pager went off for an allergic reaction in Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and headed on into the station. I pulled in behind Dohn, and Bill was already there. We got in 13-1 and off we went. When we got there, the guy was doing better and decided not to go down to the hospital, but call his family doctor. I placed medic 6 in service and we went back to the "Barn". We went back to the office and I logged my time in, then surfed the net for a little bit while Bill started his tripsheet. About 5 minutes later the pager went off for bleeding in Millersburg Borogh at the Health Center. We got there and once again I cancelled Medic 6 as they were not needed. We took the guy down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there we headed back home. We stopped at McDonalds and I got something to eat for lunch. We then headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got diesel and then headed back to the shed. We got back there and went back to the office. I logged my time in again and Bill started his first tripsheet agian. About 2 minutes later we got hit for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. We got in 13-1 and went responding again. We got up there and Chief 20-B was on the scene and the girl was hyperventaliating. We loaded her and took off to meet up with Perry Medic 81. We met up with her and she got on and we took off again for Harrisburg Hospital. We got her down ther and she was in unsteady condition. She was starting to hyperventilate again. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off and then went back to the shed. I logged my time in and heaed on home. At home I ate dinner and then me and my father headed back into the station to teach CPR to tow lifeguards from the pool. Bill was in there doing his tripsheets. We were in there for about two hours. Todays forcast is HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID!
Around 00:20 hours last night the pager went off for a fall person in Halifax Township. My father got up and got dressed and got in 13-1 and headed to pick up Carol and Bill. I then went to bed around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:00 hours for a physcosamtaic in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and headed to Dohn's house. Once there I met up with Dohn and Bill. We got in 13-1 and off we went. We were told to stage until PSP said we could come in. They called us in then and told us there was nothing they could do, so we were in service. So we headed back to Dohn's house where we picked up our cars and I headed on home. Once home I ate breakfast, read the paper and watched some tv. I then got on the PS2 and started playing football, when around 11:50 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township. Bill had called about 20 minutes earlier and told me that Dohn was going to be out on Pamher Drive and that if we got a call to get on the private and we would figure out where to met at. So we decided to meet at the "Barn". I pulled in and Dohn and Bill were waiting to go. We got up there and took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We stopped at Sheetz and me and Dohn went inside and got something to eat. We then went back to the station. How many Polock's does it take to install an air condtioner
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:00 hours for abdominal pains in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to the station. I pulled in at the "Barn" right behind Dohn. We got in the unit and off we went, with Bill in the back. We got on the scene and took the kid down to Holy Spirit Hospital. We got out backboard while we were down there and after getting everything else we needed, we headed on home. We stopped at Sheetz and all three of us went inside and got breakfast. After that we headed back to the station. We all ate breakfast, and then I started on the minutes from the two meetings last night. While I was doing the minutes, a guy from the company that has the pulse ox we were looking at last night called. I talked to him and he told me that his company would take our old ones as a trade in and it would knock $500.00 off of the price for each new one. So I then asked what the price would be for one. Well when he told me the price, my jaw hit the floor. The price for one unit is $2,495.oo! And that's with $500.00 knocked off of it. He then told me that they retail for about $5,000.00 each. I told my dad that I did not think we should go with them, because it would cost about $5,000.00 for two pulse ox's. So after I was done talking to him and my father, I pulled 13-2 out. I then stopped at Dohn's house and let them know the price of the pulse ox. After that I headed on home and sat down and read the paper. After I was done with that me and my mother took the old air conditioner out and cleaned up the window. I then got on the PS2 and played some Madden NFL 2005. It was my Halifax Wildcats vs. the Arizonia Cardinals. The final score was 255 to 27 with me winning. My father got home around 16:00 hours and we started on installing the new air conditioner. It took us about 2 hours to install this thing. After we were done with that I had dinner while I watched "Trauma, Life in the ER". After that was over I took a shower. When I got out of the shower, my pager was talking. My mother said we had a call for Millersburg. I reset my pager and got on the computer. I had just sat down when the pager went off for a phsycoscamatic in Millersburg. My father, Carol and Bill headed on up. They were cancelled on scene by PSP. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

After I was done eating I got changed ane me and my mother got in my car and headed on down to Harrisburg. First we stopped at Sheetz and I got gas and put fuel injector cleaner in my gas tank. After that we headed on down to our doctor's appointments. After we were done there we went over to Border's Book Store so I could look to see if they had the book on Pottsville Firefighting that I wanted. Of course they were out of stock. My mother got two books though. After that we went over to Home Depot and she got a falt of flowers and we picked up some weather stripping for the new air conditoner. After we were done there we went back over to Moore's Craft Store and got a few things and then went to Berlington Coat Factory and I picked up a pair of dress pants for my dress uniform for Fisherville. After that we headed on home. Beofre we got home, we made one more stop at Giant where we picked up a few things that we needed. After that we headed on home. Once we got home we found out that the new shot for the riding mower had come in. So we got back in the car and headed on up to Hoffman's and picked up the shot. After that we came back home and I took a shower and ate lunch while I played on the PS2. I got off around 17:30 hours, got dressed and headed on into town to deliver the house number sign. After delivering that I stopped at Sheetz and got gas again and then headed off to the "Barn". Got stuff set up for the meeting and we had the meeting afterwards I talked to Bill and Sue for awhile, then headed back to the office and did some looking on the web. Hot, Hotl, Hot
Went to bed last night around 02:20 hours and got up this morning around 09:00 hours. I took a shower and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got dressed and me and my mother headed into church. We met up with my brother and Grandparents at the church and headed inside. Today was our preacher's last sermon as he was retiring after 45 years of ministry. It was a nice service with a lot of memories. After the service was over we headed downstairs for refreshments and time to fellowhship and talk. I talked to the preacher for quite sometime before we decedied to head on home. Once home I changed and made lunch and sat down to watch the race. Just as I had sat down the pager went off for shoulder injury in Jackson Township. 5 minutes later, the pager went off again for a sick person at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. Viv called the house and me and my father got dressed and headed into the station for the SLV call. We got in there and went responding. We had only gotten to Deppen Park, when 20 went responding and placed us in service. SO we turned around at Good Cents Motors there and headed on home with the unit, since Deb, Kim, and Bill were already out on a call. Once back home I got lunch again and sat down to watch the race. Jeff did not do so well today, finishing 33rd. During the race, Dohn called and asked if me and my father could cover for him and Carol tonight. Of course we said yes. After the race was over, which was won by Greg Biffle, we called Pizza Delight and ordered a pizza. Me and my mother headed on into the place and picked up the pizza. Once home we ate dinner while my mother planted flowers outside. Me and my father just got back from taking 13-2 in and picking up 13-1 and bringing it out. Getting ready to hit the old email and sruf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Your in the back of a box, with two men, half naked.
Around 23:45 hours last night the pager went off for an unknown problem in Halifax Borough at Boyer Apartments. Me and my father got our boots on and jumped in 13-1 and off we went. We picked up Sue in front of the apartments and drove around back of them. When we got there, Bob from the Halifax Police Department was there, he was going off when the call came in and thgouht he would stop and help. Turns out that this old lady had called 911 and was rambling on about things so they sent us to check on her. We got there and Bob was still trying to get the lady to unlock her door so we could come in. The fire deaprtment then showed up to open up the know box and get the master key that fits each door in the apartment. After the fire department got the key and we got the door open, we talked with the lady uintl her brother got there. We ended up sending the fire department up to Alex Acre's to get her brother, since he does not have a phone. We were with her for about 1 1/2 hours before we turned her over to her brother. We dropped Sue off at her truck and we went home. Once hom I talked to Sue online for a little bit and then I got off and went to bed around 02:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:48 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and went over to the bathroom and did the five minute dance. Boy was it extra long this morning, it seemes like it would never end. After it finally did, I got dressed and we jumped in 13-1 and off we went. We got on scene followed bu Medic 6 and we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back home. We dropped the medic off and then went back to the "Barn". Bill was there when we got there. We talked for a little bit and then he left at 10:00 hours to head home. We left around 10:20 hours and headed home. Once we got home the guys were already here working on the bushes out back. They were here for about 6 hours. I am now eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. 12 more hours to go of my 48 hours shift. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
Quiet Day
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:45 hours. Got changed and ate lunch and read the paper. After that I got on the PS2 and played until 17:00 hours when I got off and ate dinner and watched the news and "That 70's Show". Boy did it turn out to be a quiet day today. Not a single call. After I was eating dinner and we were done watching world news, my father and I headed into the "Barn". Once in there we called Bill in so he could do his tripsheet from yesterday before my father transmitted for the month. After Bill was done, the three of us talked about video's that I was brining up on the computer from Pottsville Fire's website. Around 21:00 hours we decided to head on home. Once home I had a snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. WIll be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk to me.

Dumbass 1 and Dumbass 2
Went to bed last night around 00:00 hours as I was extremly tired, and I got up thnis morning around 11:30 hours. I got changed and sat down to read the paper before I headed into Giant. As I waas reading the comics, the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township, AT GIANT! I got my boots on and headed for Dohn's house. I got there and met Bill and Carol, and we got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and Scott was already there. The guy was inside laying on the floor when we got there. Medic 6 showed up and we took the guy out to the ambulance and we checked him out. The man obviously had a serious medical problem, but he absoultley refused to go down to the hospital. We tried talking him into it for about 1 1/2 hours, but he still refused to do so. SO we took him back to his house since we were not going to let him drive back there. After we were done with that, Carol took us back out to the house and me and Bill picked up our cars. I then went back into Giant and picked up some iced tea and then went over to McDonald's and got lunch. I then went back to the station and ate lunch while talking to Bill. After I was done there I headed on home and once home I sat down and started to read the paper again. Once again I got to the comics when the pager went off for another sick person in Halifax Township. Went back to Dohn's hsoue and met up with Bill and Dohn and off we went. Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:58 hours for smoke from an attic in Halifax Township this morning. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed for the station. Scott got on the scene first and had us hold in quarters until he called us up for rehab supplies. After we were done there me and Dohn headed back to the "Barn". I talked to Dohn for a little bit and then I did my tripsheet and headed on home. Once home I had a light breakfast and started reading the paper. Around 11:30 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car nad headed to Dohn's house. I met up with Dohn there and off we went. We got up there and ended up calling county nad hvaing them dispatch Medic 6 to meet us at the Halifax High School. We took the guy down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at the high school and then Dohn ran me out to his house so I could pick up my car. After I got my car I headed into Sheetz, got gas and lunch and then headed back to the station. Bill was there already doing his tripsheet from yesterday's accident. I ate lunch and then got on and did my tripsheet. After I was done I talked to Bill for a little bit, and then we both left. I headed for home and once home I had dinner. I just finished eating dinner and watching "That 70's Show". I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. WIll be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
It's a Dry Heat
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 05:30 hours when the pager went off fo breathing problems in Jackson Township. Viv called and asked if I was able to go on the call and I said yes. So I got up and got dressed and headed on out to the church in Fisherville where Carol picked me up. We got on the scene an Medic 6 was already there. We took the guy down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there we headed on home. We dropped the medic of at Sheetz. After that we stopped for disiel and then Carol took me out to my car. I got my car and headed on home. Once home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 until Dohn called me and told me that he was done with his doctor's appointment. I then changed clothes and headed on into the "Barn". I stopped and picked up the mounting directions for the house number sign I had to deliver. I them called Bill and told him to head on in. I then went up to deliver the sign, but they were not home. So I went to Rite Aid and I picked up my pictures and then got lunch at McDonalds and then headed back to the shed. Once there I showed Bill the pictuers and then did my paperwork from this mornings call. While we were there the pager went off for a call ay SLV in Upper Paxton Township. Dohn and Carol went responding from their house and swung by the station and picked up Bill. They only got into town when 20 went responding and placed us in service. Bill was dropped back off and I finsihed my paperwork. We then did the supply list and then started to do a rig check on 13-2. When I was sitting inside the cab checking some things, my fire pager, which was open, went "BEEP, Box 29-4....." and I was like shit. I shut everything down and ran back to the office. It was for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. Bill went to Dohn's house and I followed behind him but headed to the scene. I got on scene and put on my BLACK TURN OUT JACKET and went down to the car. Chuck was already there tending to the Pt. so I got in the back seat and held head stabliziation. The fire department then showed up and one of the young girls climbed into the front passenegr seat by climbing behind and over me as the passengers side of the car was flush with the truck that hit the car. They took the guy down to the hospital, and I stayed for a little bit longer, until the fire department left. I then started back for the station. Just as I passed Dohn and Carol's house the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I turned on my blue light and headed for the scene. Millersburg and Medic 6 came down and took her to Osteo. I then headed back to the station and 13-1 was back. I talked with Dohn, Carol and Bill for a little bit and then my father stopped in. We talked for a little bit more and then I headed home. Once home I took a nice COOL shower and then had dinner. I am now eating my snack of popcorn and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Brayden Hart Nornhold
Sue got on last night around 00:30 hours and told me that Brayden had been born at 22:04 hours. I was so happy and I can't wait until I get to see the little guy. I went to bed last night around 01:00 hours. My father woke me up at 05:30 hours since I needed to be up at Troutman's at 07:20 hours. My mother was up and she came in and asked me if I wanted her to wake me up at 06:00 hours and I said yes. I layed back down and I heard my father go out to 13-1 to get ready to leave for work. I heard him try and start the unit and it would not start. So I got out of bed and got dressed and I ran him into the station so he could get his truck and got to work. He called down to county and placed 13-1 out of service. He then called Dohn and let him know what happened. I dropped him off and headed on home. I got home and looked at 13-1 and under the hood for a little bit, then went inside and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got my stuff ready and left for Millersburg. I got up there around 07:18 hours and pulled on in and talked to the check in lady. I then went in the waiting room and waited for my car to be done. I was finsihed around 09:30 hours. I payed and then headed over to the Sentenial office to do some research. I stayed there for about 5 hours and did 1954 and 1955. I left there around 13:00 hours and headed to Sheetz and got gas. I then went to Rite Aid and dropped of my camera and picked up a phone card for my cell phone. I then went over to Giant and picked up a few things that we needed. After that I headed on home. I stopped at Dohn's house since I saw 13-1 sitting at Patton Tires. I talked to them for about a half an hour and then headed on home. Once home me and my mother talked for a little while and then I got on the PS2 and played until 17:00 hours. I then got off and took a shower. I just finished eating dinner and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Flat Tires
Went to bed last night around 02:20 hours and got up this morning around 09:00 hours when Kathy called and asked if me and my father would be around for the whole day, since she was not able to get ahold of Kim and Deb. We said yes. So we got up and got changed and we headed into the station to pick up 13-1 and bring out to the house. On the way back we stopped at Fisherville and we talked for awhile. My father got half of a barbaque chicken. Bubba also gave me my badge, name plate and collar pins for my dress shirt. After we were done there, we headed home. My father ate his chicken and I had pancakes and read the paper and watched a little tv. Around 11:30 hours I got on the PS2 and played until 13:00 hours when I got off to make lunch. Made lunch and sat down to watch the race at Pocono. It was a very good race. They did have a lot of flat left front tires. At 16:24 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. We got in the unit and went responding and Bill met us on scene. We loaded the guy up and headed for the high school to meet up with Perry Medic 81. We picked her up and continued on down to Harrisburg Hospital. Got what we needed down there and headed on back. We dropped the medic off and then stopped at the "Barn". After logging in our times and restocking used equipment, we took Bill out to his truck and then headed home. Got home and my father hooked his camera up to the TV and showed me and my mother the pictures and video he took of the convention parade. I am eating dinner now and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

An Eventful Past Two Days
Went to bed Thursday night and got up Friday morning around 09:30 hours. Ate breakfast and read the paper. After that I got dressed and headed on down to Hershey for the convention. I stopped at Sam's and got gas and then went to the Hershey Itilian Lodge and got there around 10:55 hours. I headed on inside around 11:00 hours and signed in and got a table in front of the bar and I sat with some people I know from Lykens and Wiconisco fire companies. A few minutes later my father showed up, came in signed in and sat down with us. While there I bought a mug, a patch and a coin along with 50/50 tickets. They had soda and sutff to munch on which I did. We then had the business meeting starting at 12:30 hours. The meeting was adjourned around 15:20 hours and we headed to the church for the memorial service. That lasted about 1 hour and then me and my father headed back to the lodge in his truck for the dinner. The dinner started around 17:30 hours. I had roast beef and Itilian bread along with water. They also had chicken, and other Itilian dishes. I left there around 18:20 hours to head on up home. I changed my shirt in the parking lot and then headed on home. I went over the mountain (highly unlike me to do so, but I was short on time) and got to the high school around 19:10 hours. Ironiclly when I pulled in, so did Sue, Bob, Steve, Andy, and the rest of the family. We headed on into the lobby and I got my ticket and headed to the cafeteria and sat with someone from Bob's side of the family (the name has letf my mind). They had a big screen set up and a projector, so we got to see a lot of close up pictures. That lasted for about 2 hours andthen it was over. We all met in the lobby again and then went outside to take picutres. We all took pictures. I got a lot of pictures of Amanda with her faimly. Then I had Steve take one of me with Amanda and Sue. Then Steve had his picture taken holding Amanda in his arms (steal my idea). After that I headed to Giant and picked up flowers for Amanda and headed back to her house. Some of her family was there and they let me in the house. The five of us talked for a little bit and then Steve came in, followed shortly by Sue and Bob and then Amanda and Andy. Amanda came in and she looked absoultely stunning. She opened up my card and gifts and liked them all and the flowers. After that she got changed and Bob cut the cake. Everyone talked and then Amanda left for the school to head on down to HACC for the after graduration party. Ever so slowly people started to leave. Missy showed up and we talked. In the end Bob went up to bed and it was just me, Sue an Andy talking. Sue went to go out back for a few minutes and and she opened the door and screamed and nearly jumped in mu lap. Here there was this SMALL toad sitting on the back porch. Me and Andy were busting up laughing at the table when this happened. Then for the rest of the night this toad kept getting bigger. I stayed until 00:20 hours and then headed on home. I stopped at Giant and picked up iced tea. Then I headed on home. When I passed the firehouse around 00:30 hours, they were still working on the trucks. I got home, took a shower, flipped throught my convention book and went to bed around 02:15 hours.
I got up this morning around 09:00 hours, ate breakfast and then got dressed and then me and my father left around 09:45 hours to head for Hershey. We got down there around 10:30 hours and parked by the fire house. I went in and bought a program and then we went over to the reviewing stand. The parade started at 13:00 hours with the sounding of the siren. About 5 minutes later the siren went off again. Here Hershey had a call for a gas leak. Well at the intersection in the square, the next thing you know you heard the federal Q's blowin and the air horns going. Then round the turn came Palmyra's Engine, Heavy Rescue, Campbelltown's Engine, Rescue and thier chief car, and Linglestown's Ladder and Engine 35-1. Made a hell of a noise but was sweet. Oh I forgot, Lifelion flew over to begin the parade. The parade lasted for about 2 1/2 hours, and boy was it a hot one. I got sun bunred on my face and forearms. After the parade was over we headed back to the station to watch the awards be handed out. We (fisherville) for 2nd place for out barnd new Tanker. We lost out to fucking Williamstown who has only won 1st place with thier tanker for the PAST 5 YEARS!!! Oh well, I am happy with second. After we heard that me and my father headed on home. He stopped at Sam's and got gas in his truck and I called Bill and let him know what we got for the tanker. After that we came home. I got undressed, and took a nice cool shower. Getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to call.

Diamond Plate
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:00 hours for a fall person in Halifax Township. Got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once there I turned the unit on and pus us responding. WHen we got on the scene, it was a female with a right ankle injury. SO we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After getting what we needed we headed on home. We stopped at Shell and got diesel. While we were waiting to pull out, Amanda went by, heading on home from school. Dohn took me out to his place and I picked up my car and headed back into the "Barn" to do my paperwork. After I was in there for about 2 minutes, Bill showed up. He was on his way down to Harrisburg and decided to stop on in. After doing my paperwork, I headed on home. Once home I read the paper and then made lunch and got on the PS2. Around 04:45 hours the pager went off for abdominal pains in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car and headed to Carol's house. I met her and Bill there and off we went. We got as far as the Hilltop Bible Church, when 20 got out and we were cancelled. So after going back to Carol's house, I headed back in to the shed and clocked in my time for thw rest of my shift. After that I headed on home and ate dinner. I then got dressed and headed up to Fisherville around 18:15 hours. When I got there, no one was there, because they were out filling up a swimming pool. Two more people showed up and we decided to wash the Utility. As we were finishing up, the tanker and the engine came back. Bubba worked on the tanker while 4 of us worked on polishing the rest of the diamond plate on the engine. I did that for about 3 hours. Then around 21:10 hours I went over to Bubba and told him that I was going to call it a night. Right after I had said that, the pager went off for an accident in Halifax Township. I ran out of the firehnouse and jumped in my car and took off. I headed for the scene and was the second person there, behind Jeff Enders. I got my bag out and put gloves on and went over to the back of Jeff's truck, which was where the guy was sitting. After taking one look at him and the car, I wanted Life Lion put on stand-by and told Jeff this. Whallen then showed up next and proceeded to assist me with treating the Pt. After confirming with him, I told Jeff to put the chopper in the air. Next to arrived was Engine 29-1 and they brought there bag over. Jeff Tracey also came over. Around this time the guy started to spit at us and was becomeing very combative. When he was spitting, he got my shirt, Whallen's arm and he hit Tracey in the face under the right eye. After talking with him to try and calm him down, and then forcefully placing him on the backboard, we took him over to 13-2 at the same time that the chopper was landing. After they worked on him for a little bit in the unit, they transferred him to the chopper. After that was all done we cleaned up and then headed back to the shed. I logged in my times and replaced the equipment that I had used out of my bag. After placing my notes on the tripsheet, I headed home, got changed, ate a snack and then took a shower. Will be going to bed soon, big day tomorrow.

Fire Island!
Around 19:00 hours last night the pager went off for an unconscious person at the ball fields behind the elementay school in town. I called Carol and she said that she was heading in. I could not get ahold of Kim however, so I ended up going in his place. I drove to the school and parked my car out front and walked around back and was picked up by the ambulance. We took the guy down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed back home. We dropped the medic off at the school and I picked up my car and headed back to the "Barn". After I logged in my time I headed home and got on the computer and had a small snack. Around 23:40 hours the pager went off again for abdominal pain at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. I got dressed again and headed on into the station. I pulled in behind Carol and off we went. MICU 6-7 was on the scene after being cancelled by 20 for the other call they had there. So they helped us load her into the ambulance and we took her down to Osteo Hospital. Once we got what we needed down there, we headed on back home. After logging in my time at the shed, I headed up to Sheetz and got gas, and then headed home. Once home I finished up a few things on the computer and went to bed around 03:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 11:56 hours when the pager went off for a fall person in Halifax Township. I got dressed and got in my car and headed for the station. Carol dropped Dohn off and headed to the scene. I met up with Dohn at the station and off we went. We ended up placing ALS in service and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. This lady was very sweet and so nice to talk to. After we got what we needed down there, we headed home. We stopped at McDonald's on front street and me and Dohn got lunch. Once back at the station, Bill was there and I started on my paperwork from the two calls last night. As I was starting the tripsheet from this morning call, the pager went off for a CO2 Alarm in Jackson Township. Dohn had already left with the unit and was heading to his house. So I got in my car and headed for his house. Once there I parked the car and off we went. When we got to the scene, my father was already there, along with Engine 216, Utility 216, and our new tanker which was just placed in service 1 hour earlier. We were there for about an hour and then headed back to Dohn's house. I picked up my car and headed back to the shed to finished my paperwork for today. After I was done I headed home. Just finished eating dinner and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Heat Stroke
Went to bed last night around 00:30 hours. Around 00:50 hours, my father came over and smacked the bottom of my foot and told me to get up because there was an accident. I got out of bed and got dressed and then we both jumped in my fathers truck and headed for the scene. The accident was down by Kissinger road, So Dohn and Carol were on the scene first, followed by me and my father. After we stopped the truck we got out and headed up to the scene. It was a tractor trailer that had flipped onto it's side. It was hauling liquid ashphalt and it was leaking into the grass. The guy was in the cab of the truck, sitting on the passenger side door, with his back against the roof of the cab. Carol was talking to him and I was talking with Dohn. He was talking to county to see if we could get Life Lion to fly. Meanwhile the Company 29 got there and Scott abd Deb went responding with 13-2. When they got on the scene I told them what we had and what we needed, and Deb was like, "you can get the stuff yourself". So I went over to the unit and got a backboard and CID'S and took them back over to the truck. My dad told me to get a short board and a nine foot strap. So I went back over to the unit and got the short board and strap. As I was walking back over to the truck, I saw Deb walking towards the truck with that fucking clipboard again. I told her to put the damn clipboard down and help with equipment. Needless to say she was upset that I told her that so she called kim. I had my winter jacket on and I went down to my father's truck and put it in. As I was walking down, I passed Kim walking up. After I put it in and started back up, Kim was coming down and came over to me. He got in my face and proceeded to yell at me and I yelled back. After about a minute of this, I just walked away and headed back up to the scene to help. After we got the guy out we put him in the uint and took him over to the ball field on Kissinger Road, and handed him off to Life Flight from Danville. After that was done, us and Medic 6 cleaned up our equipment and the back of the rig and headed back to the scene. Dohn took Scott back into the station and then brought 13-2 back out. Him and Carol were going to stay there until they got the truck upright. After talking with them for a little bit, me and my father headed home. My father went to bed and I called the three TV stations to let them know about the road closing. I finally went to bed around 05:00 hours and fell right to sleep. I woke up around 11:08 hours, got changed, read the paper, and watched a little tv. I then made lunch and got on the PS2 and played until 16:00 hours. My dad then played on the PS2, while I went and got a shower. Just finished eating dinner, and getting ready to hit the old email. Will be on late tonight, so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Heat Exhaustion
Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. Got changed and ate breakfast, read the paper, and watched a little tv. Around 11:30 hours I got on the PS2. I made lunch around 01:05 hours and brought it back to the officer to eat while I played on the PS2. I got to eat maybe 6 chips when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Jackson Township. I went over to my room and put my boots on. After I had finished tying my right boot, I heard Fisherville's house siren go off. After I got my other boot on I grabbed my job sweat and jumped in my car and headed off to Dohn's house. While heading out I tried to get ahold of either Dohn or Carol to see if they wanted to pick me up in Fisherville, but I could not get a hold of them. I got to Dohn's house and pulled in behind Bill. Me, Bill and Dohn, jumped in the unit and off we went. I left the siren on for the whole duration of the trip to the scene. When we came into the square of Fisherville, Engine 216 had just stopped at the stop sign, waiting to pull out. We went flying by them and they pulled out behind us. While enroute to the scene county advised us that we had one Pt. with head trauma. With that information we had county check on the status of Life Lion. Once we arrived on the scene and the guys from Rescue 21 had already popped the driver's side door open and had her on a backboard. Dohn turned the unit around and they strapped her to the board and I got infomation from the guys off of Rescue 21. I placed Medic 81 in service as they were not need and after PSP talked to the young lady, we headed off to Harrisburg. We stopped and picked up Carol at her house and she got on and went along down with us since the girl was 17. Got down to Harrisburg Hospital and waited about 30 minutes for a bed to open up for us. Got what we needed down there and headed on home. Dohn took us back out to his house and me and Bill picked up our vehicle's, and then we both headed back into the "Barn". Logged my time in and talked with Bill for a little bit and then I headed home. Once home I changed and had my lunch, which was now dinner while I played on the PS2. Got off and took a shower. Getting ready to hit the old emal and surf the net. Will be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.
HEATWAVE!
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 09:00 hours. After eating breakfast and reading the paper, I got dressed and headed into town. I went to Rite Aid and picked up my pictures that I dropped off yesterday on the way home. After that I headed back to the "Barn" where I met Bill and gave him his taffy and showed him what I had got and showed him my pictures, While I was there, Deb called and asked if I could cover for her for the rest of the day, naturally I said yes. So after finishing up with Bill, I installed the new brake light in 13-1 and then headed on home. Got home and changed and scanned my vacation pictures into my computer, then took them out to show my mother. After I had sat down, about a minute later, the pager went off for a CO2 alarm in Jackson Township. I ran back to my room and put my boots on and then jumped in my car and away I went. Bill got to the station first and opened the bay door up to 13-2. I pulled in next and pulled 13-2 out, and then my father pulled in and off we went. Got out there and no one was home. The fire department had us use a stethoscope and listen to the front door to see if we could hear an alarm sounding, which we did not. After a few more minutes, we were placed in service and headed back to the station. After talking with Bill for a little bit more, I headed on home. Once home I made lunch and watched the rest of the race. My dad left for a meeting in Harrisburg. After the end of the race I got on the computer and did a few things. At 17:48 hours the pager went off for an allergic reaction in Jackson Township. I jumped in my car and headed into the station. In there I met up with Bill and Dohn and off we went. Took the guy down to Osteo Hospital and after getting what we needed down there, we headed back home. Dropped the medic off at the Mountain House and then went back to the shed. After logging in my times and talking with Bill for a little bit, I headed home. I am now eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email. WIll be on late tonight so give a buzz if you want to talk.

Jacuzzi's, Bikini's, Buffet's and Hot Chicks
I just flew in from Ocean City, and BOY are my arms tired! I had a wonderful time down at the shore. I went down to my grandparents house on Sunday May 29th. I drove my car down and went down after my mother did. She stayed for a little bit and visited and I helped my brother vacuum out my mothers van and then wash it and my car also. After that my mother took my car home for the week and left. Following that m, my brother and my grandparents had a cook out for dinner and then I watched the race until midnight. Slept on the basement couch Sunday night. I got no sleep, between the anticpation of going down and not being able to get comfortable on the couch.
I tried reading, playing on my brothers PS2, but nothing seemed to work, so I finally got dressed and went upstairs around 06:00 hours. My grandfather was already up so we talked for a little bit and then I read the paper, until my brother and my grandmother got up. After my brother got changed and everything he needed to do done, we started loading up the van. We left my grandparents house around 07:30 hours and drove down to Lapp's in Lancaster County, across from Dutch Wonderland. We stopped there for breakfast and that was around 09:30 hours. Spent about an hour there and then we were back on the road and heading towards the shore. As we were leaving Lapp's, Sue sent me a text message, asking me if we were there yet, to which I replyed that we still had 3 hours of travel time left and that I would call them when I got there. We then stopped at a Super Wal-Mart in Georgetown and picked up the food we would need for the week down at the shore. After we were donw there we stopped at the White Marlin Mall and stopped at the Harry and David's Store. Got some candy there and then we stopped at a Wa Wa's and got gas and I got a sub for dinner. After that we headed on into Ocean City and to our hotel. We got to the hotel around 15:00 horus which is what time we could check in, so we timed that good. Got our room keys and headed up to the room. OH MY GOD! What a room. We open the door and there is a 60" TV sitting in the living room. The room also had a bar (not stocked, I checked), a flat panel radio/CD player, a DVD played on the big screen. a kitchen, a table that seats 10m two bedrooms each with a 25" TV and VCR in both of them, two bathrooms, and both balcony's connected to each other, and then there was the patio with the Jacuzzi on it. After the shock of the room wore off, me and my brother went down to the car and unloaded everything and brought it upstairs. After we had everything put away and in it's place, I went out to the table on the balcony and ate dinner while I watched the ocean. After that I filled up the old Jacuzzi and then fired her up. My brother took some pictures and then got in with me. We stayed in there for about maybe an hour and then got out and I took a shower and got changed for bed. Watched Tv until 00:30 hours and then went to bed.
Woke Up Tuesday morning and had breakfast and then I put sun tan lotion on and went down to the bus stop at 17th Street and Philadelphia Avenue and caught a bus down to 28th street where I got off. I proceeded to walk back to 26th street and got on the start of the boardwalk. I walked down to the first set of shops around 22nd Street. Just as I had walked up to the one, the fire alarm went off. Come to find out that someone in the hotel had pulled the fire alarm. After I went in the shops I saw Engine 16 sitting beside them and got a good pictuer of it. I continued to walk the whole 3 miles of the boardwalk and spent some money on stuff for me, my parents, and gifts for Bill, Sue and Amanda. After I reached the end of the boardwalk, I proceed to walk back to the hotel. So in all I walked about 5 1/2 miles along in about 4 hours. On my way back to the hotel I stopped and had Pizza and soda for lucnh, followed by Dippin Dots for desert. After I got back to the hotel I got changed and rested for a little bit. My brother came in from the beach about 10 minutes after I got back from walking the boardwalk. Around 16:00 hours all four of us walked over to English's and had dinner and then went back to the hotel. We dropped my grandmother off at the room and then me, my brother and my grandfather headed over to the bus stop and caught a bus up to 28th Street where we got off and played a round of miniture golf at Old Pro Golf. After that we headed back to the room and I made my nightly calls to people and then got in the jacuzzi until about 23:00 hours, then I got out and took a shower and then watched tv again until 00:30 hours and then went to bed.
Woke up Wednesday morning and had breakfast and then got chnaged in to my swimsuit and went on down to the beach and walked along the shore looking for sea shells for about 3 hours. I found quite a few good ones and then headed back to the room where I changed. My brother came back from the libaray ab out 10 minutes later, and he got ready to go down on the beach, while I got changed and headed down to the fire station and got to take a look at all of the apparatus in the station. After about 30 minutes there, I headed back to the room and then I got ready for the beach and headed on down to meet up with my brother. We stayed on the beach for about 1 hour and then headed inside. I took a shower and then got dressed. We then proceeded to the bus stop again and caught a bus up to 24th Street and went to the Embers for dinner that night. After that we headed back to the room and I made my nightly calls. By 16:00 hours, the sun had gone in and the temperature was down to 57 degrees outside, compared to a sunny morning. After I made my nightly calls I got in the Jacuzzi for about 1 hour and then got out and took a shower and watched tv until 00:30 hours and then went to bed.
Woke up Thursday morning and it was raining out. After eating breakfast, all four of us pilled into the car and headed up to 121st Street to Hooters and ate lunch there. After we ate we had our pictures taken with the girls. After that we headed back over to the White Marlin Mall and did a little more shopping. After that we headed back to the room and did a few things unti; it was time to head over to English's for dinner again. After eating dinner there, we headed back to the room and I got changed and headed on down to the indoor pool. Now they say it is a heated pool, but I say that someone forgot to turn the heat on that night. Boy was it cold. After about 45 minutes in the pool, I got out and headed up to the room and took a shower and then wactehd tv until 00:30 hours and then went to bed.
Woke up Friday morning and it was once again raining outside. I ate breakfats and ended up laying in bed reading most of the day. I ate lunch in and then we took a bus down to Paul Rever's for dinner. While we were at our table, I heard the sound of running water hitting something. So I turned around to look at the table behind us and there was a leak in the ceiling above the table. I got the attnetion of a passing server and told her about the problem. I must say I gave her a 10 on her reaction to seeing the leak. They got a bucket under it and it was under control. After that I took my grandparents to the bus stop while my brother took a little walk on the boardwalk. I took a shower that night and watched tv until about 00:00 hours and then went to bed.
Woke up this morning and ate breakfast and then finished packing up. After we were all finished packing up, me and my brother took eveyrthing down and loaded up the car and then we turned our room keys in and off we went. We stopped at a car wash just outside of Ocean City in West Ocean City and my brother cleaned the car off of all the salt the accumalated on it. On the way back we stopped at Friendly's and had lunch around 13:00 hours. We then stopped at a Wa Wa's in Lancaster County and my brother picked up some food for at home and then we went to Sam's and filled the van up and headed to thier house. Once there me and my brother unloaded the van and I called my mother so she could come down with my car. While waiting for her I read a weeks worth of the paper that I missed from up here. After she showed up I loaded my things into my car, said my goodbyes and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and filled my car up, then went to Rite Aid and dropped my two cameras off and then ran down to Giant and picked up some Iced Tea for at home here. After that I stopped at the station and picked up the times that Bill had printed out for the fire on Tuesday. After that I headed home and unloaded the car, unpakced, wrapped a few gifts and then took a shower and then got on the PS2 to play the new game my father got while I was away. After I had just made dinner, the pager went off for herat problems in Reed Township. My father had the unit here, so he took off and picked up Carol on the way in. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Will be on late tonight getting quite a few things done. So give me a buzz if you want to talk to me.
