Diamond Plate
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:00 hours for a fall person in Halifax Township. Got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once there I turned the unit on and pus us responding. WHen we got on the scene, it was a female with a right ankle injury. SO we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After getting what we needed we headed on home. We stopped at Shell and got diesel. While we were waiting to pull out, Amanda went by, heading on home from school. Dohn took me out to his place and I picked up my car and headed back into the "Barn" to do my paperwork. After I was in there for about 2 minutes, Bill showed up. He was on his way down to Harrisburg and decided to stop on in. After doing my paperwork, I headed on home. Once home I read the paper and then made lunch and got on the PS2. Around 04:45 hours the pager went off for abdominal pains in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car and headed to Carol's house. I met her and Bill there and off we went. We got as far as the Hilltop Bible Church, when 20 got out and we were cancelled. So after going back to Carol's house, I headed back in to the shed and clocked in my time for thw rest of my shift. After that I headed on home and ate dinner. I then got dressed and headed up to Fisherville around 18:15 hours. When I got there, no one was there, because they were out filling up a swimming pool. Two more people showed up and we decided to wash the Utility. As we were finishing up, the tanker and the engine came back. Bubba worked on the tanker while 4 of us worked on polishing the rest of the diamond plate on the engine. I did that for about 3 hours. Then around 21:10 hours I went over to Bubba and told him that I was going to call it a night. Right after I had said that, the pager went off for an accident in Halifax Township. I ran out of the firehnouse and jumped in my car and took off. I headed for the scene and was the second person there, behind Jeff Enders. I got my bag out and put gloves on and went over to the back of Jeff's truck, which was where the guy was sitting. After taking one look at him and the car, I wanted Life Lion put on stand-by and told Jeff this. Whallen then showed up next and proceeded to assist me with treating the Pt. After confirming with him, I told Jeff to put the chopper in the air. Next to arrived was Engine 29-1 and they brought there bag over. Jeff Tracey also came over. Around this time the guy started to spit at us and was becomeing very combative. When he was spitting, he got my shirt, Whallen's arm and he hit Tracey in the face under the right eye. After talking with him to try and calm him down, and then forcefully placing him on the backboard, we took him over to 13-2 at the same time that the chopper was landing. After they worked on him for a little bit in the unit, they transferred him to the chopper. After that was all done we cleaned up and then headed back to the shed. I logged in my times and replaced the equipment that I had used out of my bag. After placing my notes on the tripsheet, I headed home, got changed, ate a snack and then took a shower. Will be going to bed soon, big day tomorrow.
