My Daily Thoughts
Tuesday, February 28, 2006
Around 01:40 hours last night I said good night to my mother and headed back to my bedroom to go to bed. Just as I stepped in my bedroom, the pager went off for bleeding in Millersburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got changed into my uniform and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I pulled in the same time that Dohn did and we both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Chief 20-A was already there. We got the guy loaded up and took him up to Sunbury Community Hospital. After we got what we needed up there, we headed on home. We parked the unit in the shed at 05:00 hours and my father called me on my cell phone and asked me where I was. I told him that we were just getting back and that I would be home shortly. I went back to the office, logged my time in, pulled the times up for the call, talked to Dohn for a few minutes and then we both headed on home. Once at home I talked to my dad for a little bit and then I hit the sack. I got up around 12:00 hours, got out of bed and got dressed. I then ate lunch and watched my TV show. I then sat down to read the paper. Around 13:20 hours the pager went off for an unconscious child in Halifax Borough. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and 13-1 was already pulled out and Dohn and Bill were waiting on me. Bill went responding as I parked my car. I then got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and Scott was already there. We got the kid loaded up and Medic 6 got on board and we took the kid down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We went back to the shed and the medic got picked up there. I then logged my time in and pulled my times up. I then did my paperwork on the nosebleed from this morning. After that I talked to Bill a little and then I headed on home. Once at home I finished reading the paper and then I got on the computer and ate dinner. Around 17:45 hours the pager went off for a psyhcatric person in Halifax Township. I got in my car and headed into the shed while I ate my second hot dog. I got there and pulled in right behind Carol. Sue was going to take the call and Bill followed us down in his truck incase we needed help. We did not and we got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then went over to class. After class was over I helped Sue with the paperwork for the psychatric call. After that we went outside and it was snowing and the cars and ground were already covered. So we cleaned our cars off and then we both headed on home. Heading on home I could barley see 5 feet in front of me as it was snowing that bad. I made it home in one piece. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a light snack. Around 23:20 hours the paher went off for an accident in Reed Township. Sue, Scott and Deb took that call and are currently on scene at this time. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I wil be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Busy in the churches
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 05:50 hours when the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township for Company 20 or 13. I slowly got out of bed and slowly got dressed, while my father got dressed fast, don't know why. 20-1 got out and we were cancelled so I went back to bed. The pager then went off again around 06:30 hours for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township. Viv called the house, because she thought that Deb and Kim were still up at Millersburg working. So me and my father got dressed and then got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". Just as we got to the bible church, Deb put 13-1 responding. There had been a mix up in communications. So we turned around and headed on home. Once back at home I crawled in bed again and slept for about another hour. I then got up and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then took a shower and got on the computer. Around 10:30 hours the pager went off for a CVA in Halifax Township. Deb and Kim took that one. Then around 11:30 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. This one was the the church behind the high school. The one that Deb and Kim had was in the church behind Sheetz. Me and my father got dressed and got in his truck and headed into the shed. We got there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy in the ambulance and talked with him. We placed Medic 6 in service and the guy refused to go down, so we went back to the shed. Once at the shed, I logged our times in and then did my paperwork on the call. After I was done with that, we headed on home. Once at home I got changed an, and got back on the computer while I ate lunch. I then got off around 15:20 hours and went out to watch the race. I ate dinner while the race was on and then around 17:45 hours I got changed into my uniform. Then around 18:30 hours the pager went off for an odor of something burning in Halifax Borough. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got as far as Clugston's Farm, where we were cancelled. So I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I watched the end of the race. Matt Kenseth won the race. It was a good race, not a lot of caution flags. I just finished eating a light snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

An early morning fall
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:30 hours for a fall person in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed, got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I came up on Dohn's driveway and he was sitting at the end of his road waitintg to pull out. Since I had no one behind me, I slowed down and let him pull out and then I followed him into the shed. We both pulled up and both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got out there and the lady had fallen getting out of the shower, and was now laying in the bathroom. The bathroom was so freakin small. After talking to her for a little bit, me and Dohn decided to call the fire department out for lifting assitance. They showed up very quickly and had at least 7 guys. After talking with the lady some more, we decided to call for ALS, and had county dispatch Medic 6 to our location. Meanwhile Dohn and the fire department worked on getting the lady onto the scoop strecther and then out of the bathroom, onto the stretcher and then into the back of the ambulance. Medic 6 ended up going down with us and we took her to Osteo. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We dropped the medic off at his squad at Sheetz. We then headed back to the shed. Once at the shed I logged my time in for the call and then pulled my times up for the call. I then did my paperwork on the call. After that I headed on home. As I was turning on to Creek Drive, my parents were turning onto Enders Road to go shopping. Once at home I read the paper and watched some of the Olympics. I watched the Men's Bronze Medal Hockey game. A very good game. The Czech's beat the Russians 3 to 0. My parents then came home and I helped bring a few things in. I just finished eating dinner and am now getting ready to hit the oil email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another School Bus Accident
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:50 hours when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn and Bill already had the unit pulled out. Bill put us responding as I parked the car and I got in and off we went. We got there and here a kid had hit a school bus. We checked out three kids from the school bus and two of them there parents came and picked them up and we only took one down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then called the township to talk to the secretary, who I found out was not in. So they told me to call Dave Hoover and talk to him regarding two bills that the township was to pay for us. So I called out there and he had stepped out for lunch. So I left a message and then did my tripsheet. Dave's office then called back around 12:50 hours and told me that they were paid. I then called Keystone insurance in Eville and talked to Tom Troutman and told him that they were paid. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I sat down and read the paper and the cat got in my lap. The cat finally got off my lap around 16:30 hours. I then got on the computer and ate dinner. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonigh so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Nose Bleed
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 11:20 hours when the pager went off for a nose bleed in Millersburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got out of bed and got dressed, got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Carol and Bill already had 13-1 pulled out and went responding as I parked my car. I handed Bill my radio and then got in the back and off we went. We got up there and went into the lady's apartment. She did not really want to go down to the hospital, just wanted us to pack her nose to stop it from bleeding. We told her that we can not do that and that she would either have to go to the hospital or she could try her family doctor. She said that she would get her brother to take her up to her doctor. So we got a refusal and returned to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then pulled the times up for the call. I then talked with Carol and Bill for a few minutes and then headed on home. Once at home I brought the mail in and I noticed that there was a letter to me from Amanda. I opened it up and read it and then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer and sent an email back to Amanda to answer her letter and to do a few other things. I am still working on 1980 from the log book, but am almost done with it. I just finished eating dinner and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Rolled one over
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:19 hours when the pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Jackson Township. Since I was off today, I jumped out of bed, threw a t-shirt, socks, and jeans on, grabbed my wallet, glasses, shoes and keys and flew out the door. I got in my car and headed for the fire house. I parked the car and popped my trunk and got out and got my gear on and then ran over to the bay door. Bruce put the bay door up and I ran inside and got in the engine and we were off. We got to the scene and the car was on it's side and the lady was already out of the car. Bubba told me to check her out which I did. She said that she was fine and was feeling ok. I had Bubba place ALS in service at this time and then I walked the lady over and put her in the cab of the engine and sat with her until the ambulance arrived. I then walked her over and gave her to Dohn and Carol to take a look at. We then stood around and waited for the towing company to get there. The lady did not go down, so she then got out and Dohn and Carol took off. After the tow truck left, we headed back to the station. Back at the station, Bubba had me try on some gear that was just turned back in and it all fit me. So I was re-issued the new gear, and I was moved from a probationary firefighter to an active firefighter. And my gear is now kept in a stall in the fire house so I no longer have to keep it in the truck of my car. I then sat around and shot the shit with Bubba and Bruce. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then headed into the "Barn". Once in there I unhooked the one computer and ran that up to NAS and dropped it off. I then headed on home again. Once at home I took a shower. I then ate lunch and got on the computer to do a few things. I started working on 1980 from the log book. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then got changed into my uniform and then me and my father headed into the shed for my dad to meet with Dohn about training for the rest of the year. After that we headed on home. Once at home I ate a light snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Slow day again
Went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and ate something light for lunch. I then got my boots on and headed into town. I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then I ran to Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea. I then headed on back to the "Barn". Bill was already there when I parked the car. I then moved both units out and plugged them in. I then went back to the office and typed up the minutes for both of last nights meetings. I then talked to Bill for a few short minutes and then I headed on home. My mother pulled in right before I did. I then helped her bring in a few things. I then got on the computer to do a few things and I started working on 1979 from the log book. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then took a shower and got back on the computer. Around 19:00 hours the pager went off for a fall person in Wayne Township, with us in place of Medic 6. I called Dohn and Carol and I told Carol that if they needed any help lifting, to give me a buzz. Carol told me to head on out that way awhile. So I waited until they wetn responding, to make sure that 6 did not get out, and then I headed on out to the scene. Boy that place was back a long dirt lane and the house was a mess. I got there first and 13-1 was not far behind me. We helped the guy up and then I headed on home and the guy did not want to go down. Once at home I ate a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Medic 83 involved in a crash
Around 01:20 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. My father got out of bed and got ready and then headed into the shed where he met up with Dohn and they took the call. I believe that the Pt. ended up taking a ride with PSP. I went to bed around 03:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and so did my father and then we both got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". Bill called me on the radio and asked if we minded if he took the call with us and we said that we did not mind. So we got in there right after Bill and we got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and Medic 6 was already there and we got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Osteo, BLS. After we got what we needed we headed on home. While we were at the guys house, the pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Reed Township, Perry County. 12 was able to get out and we were placed in service. We stopped at the shed and I logged our times in and then the three of us talked for a little bit. We then all went out to Community Medical Associates, so my father could have blood drawn. After that we went back to the shed and dropped Bill off and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch and got on the computer to do a few things. I was able to get through yet another year of the log book. I ate dinner while I was on the computer and then me and my father left around 18:35 hours and headed into the shed for the meeting tonight. The regular meeting lasted a little over 2 hours and the firemen's relief was fairly short. We left there around 22:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and watched a little tv and ate a very light snack. I will be going to bed shortly and trying to get some sleep.

The start of the season
Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours as I was really dragging. I got out of bed this morning around 11:00 hours. I got dressed and went out and read the comics. Steph then texted me on my cell phone and then I got online and talked with her for about 30 minutes and I did a few other things. I then went out and read the paper. My mother then came home from church and I helped her bring some things in and then I finished reading the paper. I then made lunch and sat down to watch the race from Daytona, the Daytona 500. The race got started at 14:30 hours. It was a good race. It was overcast, windy and foggy, something not seen that often in Flordia, let alone for Daytona. There was a few wrecks, but they did not really have "THE BIG ONE" that they usually have in the restrictor plate racing. I ate dinner while I watched the race. Around 17:30 hours I went back to the bedroom to change into uniform to cover for my father for a few hours tonight. Just as I stepped into my room, the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Borough. Scott and Kim handeled this call and took the guy to Harrisburg Hospital. I got changed and took my pager out with me to watch the race. About 15 minutes later the pager went off again for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I went back to my room and got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked and then Carol pulled in, followed by Sue. We all got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and the fire department already had a collar on him. We placed him on a backboard and put him in the unit and took the kid down to Hershey. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and pulled the times up for the call. Then me, Sue, Kim, and Carol talked for a little bit. Kim and Carol then left and I stayed to help Sue with her tripsheet. After Sue was done, we both headed on home. Once at home I found out that Jimmie Johnson won the race. I then changed into my PJ's and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Fire on the second floor
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got out of bed at 06:00 hours this morning when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed, went out and got the paper and then read the paper while I ate dinner. I then got on the computer for a little bit this morning. I then left here around 07:15 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and parked, grabbed my gear out of my trunk and went inside the station, turned the lights on and sat my gear down. I then sat down and grabbed a magazine to read. Leeann then showed up next, followed by Bill, the Robbie, the Lyle, and then Bubba. We talked for about 10 minutes and joked around. We then got ready around 07:45 hours and got in the trucks and headed on up to Eville's Station. I rode up on the engine, Bubba and Lyle had the tanker and Leeann had the Utility. The tanker and utility parked in the parking lot, and we pulled the engine over onto the stone pad so we could pull the portable generator off for Eville to use for the smoke machine. While we were doing that, Carsonville pulled in with both of their engines. After we pulled the portable generator off, we went over into 21's station so they could go over what we were going to do. We then assigned our positions. Lonny drove the engine, I was the officer, then Leeann and Lyle, and a guy from Eville filled out the back seat of the engine. We then got in the engine and went up to the square and then came down a back street. While Lonny was driving, the rest of us were getting the air packs and mask on. We then made the right hand turn onto the street and we had Engine 19-1 behind us. We pulled in and got out. Leeann and the guy from Eville were the search team, and me and Lyle were the attack team. Carsonville was the truck company, with orders to ladder the rear roof and vent the second story. So me and lyle pulled a preconnect off and the search team went in first and we followed, with lyle manning the nozzle and me doing back up. We went in the house and made a right hand turn, then backed up and went up the stairs to the second floor. We got up the second floor into the room and then they charged the line, making it harder to pull the hose. We finally found the seat of the fire and thenw e proceeded back outside. Boy I thoguht my chest was going to explode. I sat down on the grass to rest for a few minutes and someone helped take my air pack off. I then put it back on and Bubba changed the cylinder on it for me. I then sat out for two rounds and then decided to give the vent job a try. So I packed up again and me and a guy from Eville were assigned to vent. So I took the hose line and went up the ladder and we opened the second floor window and I went inside and then the guy feed the hose line into me and we advanced the line out to the hall. After holding there for a few minutes, we back the line out and then exited the house and climbed back down. We then took the ladder down and then I did not go in anymore. I believe that only one more team went inside before we stopped and started cleaning up. We repacked the preconnect and then put the ladder back on and then they showed up how PPV works. After that we went back into the station and we debreiefed on the training. We then backed the engine into their station and we topped off our tank and then we headed back to our station. We got there and backed everything in and then I took my gear off and then cleaned and put away the mask. Carsonville and a few guys from Eville then showed up and we went up to the hall and had pizza and we talked. I left the station around 14:38 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then told my parents how training went. I then got on the computer and ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Everyone on the Engine
Around 20:42 hours last night, Scott called my cell phone to let me know that the girls basketball team won the league title. I told him ok and then called Bubba and let him know. I then got dressed and headed on up to the fire house. When I got there, Bubba was pulling the tanker out, and then he pulled the engine out. I then grabbed my gear and threw it behind the officers seat. Robbie then came over and me and him took the engine and Bubba took the tanker. We headed on out to Patton Road and waited for 29 to show up. The town cop was next to show up, followed by both of 29's engines. Then we waited on the bus to show up. When they did show up, the town cop lead the way, then 29's two engines, then the bus, then we followed the bus. We lead them up to the school and then they all piled out of the bus. They all got on top of Engine 29-1. Me and Robbie sat in the engine while they did this, and we heard county call Engine 29-1 at least 6 times. Finally county toned out Box 29-6 for a reported accident in front of the Jelly Bean Junction. Alf got on the radio and said that Engine and Tanker 216 would handle the call as they were on another detail. So Robbie backed up and then we took off. We made took the turn by the school there, and I slammed my foot down on the Q and laid on the air horns. We got down to the scene the same time that Lt. 29-1 did and we found nothing. We then went up Market Street, into the Heights and found nothing up there, so we placed the box in service. By this time both engines were coming down 4th street, so we picked up the front and lead them down 4th, then a left on to Armstrong Street, then a left on to Second Street, then a left onto Rise Street, then a right back on Peters Mountain Road, we then turned in at the school, while the rest of the parade went up to Giant and turned around and came back down. We then backed out into traffic and held traffic while the parade turned in at the school. When the engine with the girls on it went by, I laid on the Q and air horns. We then feel in line at the back and went around back again and parked. The girls off loaded from the engine and then Alf wanted a pic of the team in front of the engine. So he told us to move the engine over and turn the quartz lights on. So we moved the engine and Robbie went around back and started the generator up while I climbed up to turn the lights on. When I went to turn the first one on, the girls started chantting "Jesse, Jesse, Jesse". After I turned that one on, I climbed up on top and turned the other one on, while the girls chantted "We love Jesse, We love Jesse". After that we left and headed on up to Shell to get disiel and then headed back to the station. Once back at the station the three of us stood around and bullshited until 23:30 hours when we all left. Once at home I took the trash out, then checked my email qucikly and then went to bed. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 11:40 hours when the pager went off for an accident in Perry County. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got as far as Fisherville, when they placed us in service. So I turned around and headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then made lunch and got on the computer to do a few things. Then around 15:30 hours the pager went off for wires down in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car and slowly made my way into the shed. When I got there, 13-1 was already pulled out and Bill put us responding. We got as far as Seiders Road, when the FD placed us in service. So we turned around and headed back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in for yesterday and then talked to Bill for a little bit. I then went to Rite Aid and got a powerball ticket for us and then headed on home. I had just walked in the house, when the pager went off for chest pains in Millesburg Borough. I got back in the car and headed back into the shed. I got there and 13-1 was already out and Bill put us responding. We got up there and got the guy loaded and met Medic 6 at the high school and then continued on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. The medics truck was moved down to our station so we dropped him off and then backed the unit in. I then logged my time in and got the times for the call. I then talked to Bill for a little bit and then we both headed for home. Once at home I took a shower and ate dinner and just finished eating a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another Slow Day
Went to bed last night around 03:20 hours and got up this morning around 10:20 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then got the mail and then made lunch and got on the computer to did a few things. I was able to get through yet another year of the log book, but they are starting to take longer, as there are more calls that were logged. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and just finished taking a shower. We had no calls once again today. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net, and wait on the phone call from Scott. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Slow Day
Around 02:00 hours the pager went off for diabetic problems in Halifax Township. I called Dohn and Carol to make sure that they heard the call. I then went to sleep around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 03:50 hours when the pager went off again, but I missed what it was for. I think that county accidentally activated our tones, because they never redispatched us again. So I went back to bed and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and watched a little tv. I then made lunch and got on the computer to do a few things. I was able to get through another year of the log book today as we had no calls. I ate dinner while I was on the computer. Around 17:56 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough. 20 went responding right after the dispatch and we were placed in service. I then left here around 18:05 hours and headed on down to county for the EMA meeting tonight. I got down there and my father was outside waiting for me. We both went inside and we headed inside for the meeting. The meeting lasted about 2 hours and then we left for home. I stopped at Sue's house to drop off the CPR cards and her and me talked for about 1-1/2 hours. I then left there and stopped at Giant and picked up a few things and then stopped at the "Barn" to log in my time for today. I then headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and amd now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on for a little bit longer tonight, so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Out of Control
Around 21:00 hours last night I believe, the pager went off for a pshyscsmatic in Halifax Township. Me and my father got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". We got there and Sue was already there. We got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up into the unit and headed on down to Osteo Hospital. The lady was doing ok, talking with Sue, while I copied down her medications. Then as we came into Matamoras, she undid the belts on the stretcher and started rocking back and forth on the stretcher. She then she made a grab for the door handle on the rear door. Sue grabbed her right arm and tried to hold her back while I made a dash for the lady and grabbed under her left shoulder and started to pull her back. As soon as we started pulling her back, she went crazy and became very combative with us. At this point I yelled for my father to pull over and come back and help us as she was trying to get out of the ambulance. He pulled into the parking lot of the Matamoras Community Church and got out and came running back to help. Meanwhile, me and Sue had managed to het the lady somewhat back on the stretcher, and I was holding on to her left arm and trying to hold her legs down. I ended up laying down across the lady to hold her down. My father then got in the back and grabbed her legs, while I took ahold of the lady right arm so Sue could help my father put the straps on and tighten them up. They then did the rest of the belts. We then continued on our way at a class 2 pace. We got the lady down to Osteo and when Sue called in, we made sure that we had security meet us there. As we got out to get her out, she started to move around again. As I got in the back to talk to her, she pulled ler left leg out of the straps and became combative once again. Round 2 set in and I ended up laying across her again to keep her from getting up. Sue grabbed her knees and my father grabbed the lady's ankles. Meanwhile the security gurad (after I told him that some help would be nice) got in and grabbed her left arm, while a nurse got in the side and grabbed her right arm. We got her in and off loaded her to the ER, where she became combative again and tried to run out of the room. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. My father let Sue drive home and she did a very good job, needs a little work backing the unit in, but overall she did good. Once we got back to the shed, I logged our times in and then we headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and got on the computer for a little bit and then hit the sack as I was tired. I was rocked out of bed around 08:30 hours this morning when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Dohn and Carol took the call. I got out of bed and got dressed and grabbed something light for breakfast and headed into the shed to see if the AED guy needed to be let in. I got there and he must have gotten there before the call came in as he was working on the AED's. I stayed until he finished and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I ate lunch while I was on the computer and I was able to do another year out of the log book. My parents then came home from down county and I helped them bring some things in and then got back on the computer. I the n ate dinner and then me and my father headed into the shed to get ready for the CPR class we had to teach tonight. The guy and his daughter showed up, followed by Sue. We were helping the two out since they needed CPR to get relicenesed. While they were taking the class, I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and headed back to the shed. The class lasted about 2 hours and then I helped Sue with the paperwork from last nights call. We all then left around 21:40 hours and headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and got on the computer. I will be on for a little bit longer and then am hitting the sack.

Slow Day
Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed, ate lunch and then read the paper while I watched a little TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. We had no calls as of today so far. I was able to get through another year of the old log book this afternoon. That makes 4 years that I have gone through now. It will be a slow process, as each year, more and more calls were being taken. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. Deb then called and asked me if I could run for Kim on Thursday nights for the rest of the month. I said that I could, but not this Thursday. She also asked me if I could cover for her tonight and I said that I could. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Snow and Speedweeks
Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I got dressed and went out and cleaned the snow off of my car. I then came inside and took a shower. I then read the paper and watched a little TV. I then made and ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. Then around 13:10 hours my father went out and got the snow blower out. So I got dressed and went out and helped him clear the driveway off. After that I came back inside and got back on the computer. I got off of the computer around 16:40 hours and went out to watch the Bud Shootout from Daytona. It was nice and sunny down there today. The race was cancelled last night due to it raining very heavy down there. I ate dinner while I watched the race and then I got dressed to head into the "Barn" for class tonight. Just before I left, Jeff got a hole in his oil cooler and he was done. I then headed into the shed. Bill was already there and Dohn and Carol pulled in behind me. We then set things up in the bay area for class. Next to show up was Helen, followed by Nancy, Susie, then Sue, Burt and Kathy and then Scott came in late. After class was over a few of us hung around and talked and then we all left and headed for home. Once at home I ate a snack and got on the computer. Then around 21:57 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Millersburr Borough. So I got into my car and headed into the shed. I got there and went inside and pulled 13-2 out and Dohn pulled up and I put us responding. He got in and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded and we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then headed back to the shed. Once there I did my paperwork on the call and Dohn logged us in. Dohn and me talked for abour 10 minutes and then he headed on home. Once I was done with my tripsheet, I headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on for a little bit longer, so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

A little bit of snow
Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched a John Wayne movie with my father. I then got on the computer after the moive was over to do a few things. Around 15:15 hours, me and my father headed into the "Barn", so my father could meet with Dohn and talked about the training schedule. While we were in there, my father had me install another 5 pound fire extinguisher in 13-2. When we left the house to come in, it was starting to snow some. It had slowed down some by the time we left the shed and headd on home. Once at home I got back on the computer to finish the stuff I had started. I ate dinner while I was on the computer. It is still snowing out lightly, but it is not laying on the roads yet. NASCAR will be starting soon. The Bud Shootout at Daytona is tonight at 20:00 hours. I may watch it, I do not know yet. The Daytona 500 is not until next Sunday, and then the season will be in full swing again. It has been a quirt day with no calls, and no accidents as of yet. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Dohn pulled in about a minute later and we all got in 13-2 and off we went. Right after we went responding, Ambulance 6-3 said that they were on the edge of Upper Paxton Township, and that they would handle the call, so we were placed in service. So me and Bill got out of the unit and Dohn took it home. I went back into the office and logged the rest of my time in for yesterday. I then talked to Bill for a few minutes and then I left and headed on out to Station 29 to drop off the minutes. Skip was leaving and he let me in the office door. I then came home and once at home had a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Around 211:15 hours last night the pager went off for back pains in Halifax Township. I called Dohn and Carol who were in at the station and just as Carol picked up, the pager went off for breathing problemsin Wayne Township. So I started getting dressed and Scott called on the private and asked if we had a second crew, and I advised him that I was heading in, but would need a drive. After we got what we needed down there, we headed home. While we were coming through Matamoras, we heard Perry Medic 81 go responding. The One for the Thumb, Baby!!!!!
Went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the computer and did a few things online and went through another year of old minutes. Then around 14:30 hours the pager went off for a phsycoscmatic in Halifax Township. Deb and Kim took the call. Around 15:40 hours I started getting into my uniform and me and my father left here around 15:50 hours and headed into the "Barn". We got there and Bill was already there. We talked for a few minutes and then we got in 13-1 and started off towards Camp Hebron. After we went through the red light, we passed 13-2 coming back. We turned around and headed back to Sheetz where we switched rigs, and then continued on out to Camp Hebron. We got out there and this year they let us park right beside the building that the game was being watched on. So we parked the rig and went inside. They we nice enough this year to set a table up for us, very close to the tv. The food was excellent, the TV was huge, and the spot we had was great. It was a very good game, a close game. Was a little scared in the begining on how the Steelers were playing. But after halftime, they really picked it up, making the big plays when they needed to. It was a very well rounded game. I am happy for the Steelers, Coach Cower, and Bettis for winning the super bowl. The final score was Steelers 21, Seahawks 10. After the game was over, we hung around for a little bit and then left and headed on home. We swung by Sue's house, but when we flashed the lights and honked the horn and she did not come out, we went back to the shed. Once there I logged our times in for the stand by and then the three of us left and headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz. HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!

County Engine 216 responding
Around 20:50 hours last night the pager went off for an odor of something burning in Halifax Township I believe. Well I heard the house siren go off, so I quickly threw on my jeans, socks, a t-shirt, shoes, and grabbed my wallet and keys and got in my car and sped off for the firehouse. I was the first one up to the station. I parked my car and popped my trunk and ran around back and pulled my bunker pants on. As I finished pulling my suspenders up, Bruce came flying in the parking lot. He ran inside the fire house and I grabbed my jacket and helmet and shut my trunk and ran inside the station. I opened the bay door up for the engine and then got in the officers seat of the engine and Bruce got in the the driver's seat. He pulled the engine out and we waited for about 30 seconds to see if anyone else was coming. When we saw no one else, he told me to put us responding, which I did. I got to work the old Federal Q. We got as far as the bible church before the "Barn", when command 29, held the box to Engine 29-1. So we turned around and headed back to the station. We got back and a few people were there. We talked for about 20 minutes and then I headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer and did stuff. I went to bed around 02:00 hours last night and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I read the paper and then the three of us watched the Cosby DVD I got for christams. After that I got on the computer and did some things online. I then got ready for the West Enola Fire Company banquet that me and my dad were going to tonight. We left here around 16:00 hours and stopped at my one aunts house to drop of a christmas present. We stayed and talked for about 45 minutes and then we left and headed over to the Enola Sportsmans Club for the banquet. We ate dinner and talked with some people. We stayed for about 3 hours and then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Yellow Smoke
Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 09:10 hours for a possible structure fire in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed, took my medication and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". When I got to the square of Fisherville, I had 3 cars coming from Eville that did not stop and let me out. After they passed, I then had a car coming from Halifax that slowed down and flashed his lights for me to pull out. Just before I pulled out, I heard the engine coming out of the alley. So I pulled out onto the road and angeled my car and raised me hand for the guy to stay where he was at. I then waved the engine on out through, and then fell in line behind them. I got into the shed and Bill and Carol were already there and had the unit pulled out. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. As we turned onto Market Street, the box was placed in service and we were available. We then headed back to the shed and I logged my time in for yesterday and pulled the times in information up for the fire call to see what it said. I then talked to Bill for a few minutes and then I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that I got on the computer to do a few things and go through the old minutes. I got about one year done. Sue then called me around 15:20 hours and told me that she was going to the cemetary and she would call me when she got closer. So I then called her around 15:58 hours and asked her where she was at and she said in Matamoras. I told her that I would head on in. So I got in my car and headed on into town. I dropped a piece of mail off at the post office and then headed out to the cementary. When I pulled in, Sue wa already there, along with Val, (Brandy's mother) and Val's girlfriend. I pulled up and parked the car and got out. I went over and Val hugged me, followed by her girlfriend. The four of us stood there and talked I would say for probally almost a full hour. Sue then left first and I talked with Val and her girlfriend for about another 10 minutes and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I played a game on the computer. I then took a shower and just finished eating a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

101
Went to bed around 02:00 hours last night and was rocked out of bed around 08:36 hours when the pager went off for an unresponsive person in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got out of bed and got dressed, took my medications and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Bill and Dohn were already there. I pulled in and parked beside Dohn's truck while they were pulling 13-2 out of the bay. I went over and got in the unit and off we went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there. We got the lady loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. As we came up to the red light at the triangle, we noticed that there was a van sitting on Palmer Drive that had left front end damage to it. So we pulled over and Dohn and me got out to check to see if everyone was ok. Everyone said that they were fine and we asked them one more time and they said that everyone was ok. So we got back in the unit and went over to Shell and got disiel. We then left to take the medic back up to SLV so he could pick up his squad. When we pulled out of Shell on to 225, Dohn took the turn so hard that it knocked Bill out of the captain's chair in the back. So we pulled over and I got out and went around and opened up the side door and me and the medic helped Bill back up. I then got back in and we continued on our way. When we went through the square in Millersburg, Dohn knocked the medic off of the bench seat. He was able to get himself back up. As we were coming into the square of Millersburg, the pager went off for a fall person in Millersburg Borough. We dropped the medic off at his squad, and then went responding. We got there and Chief 20-C was already there. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. Once back at the station I logged my times in and then pulled the times up for the two calls. I then did a few things and then Carol showed up while Dohn went up to Medic 6 to mail out some packages. Carol then told me about the problem we were having with quicktrip and I called my dad and he told me to call down to the company and talk with the guy down there. I spent about 3 hours on that. While I waited for the guy to call me back, me and Bill shreeded old tripsheets from 7 years ago. Everyone left and I waited for my father to show up. He got there around 17:40 hours and I told him what happened and that it was now fixed. We then both left and headed for home. Once at home I talked to my dad to see if he could help out Steph get re-certified in CPR. Steph had contacted me ealier in the afternoon and asked me if I knew anyone who could get her recertififed. I told her I would talk to my father. He said that he would do ti tomorrow night. So I called Steph and told her the good news. I then ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and around 09:15 hours this morning Steph texted me and we texted back and forth for about 5 minutes. I then went back to bed and got back up around 10:45 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into a running suit and then made lunch and watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over I read the paper and then I got on the computer to do a few things online and to do some more research in the minutes. I got through another year and a half. I ate dinner while I played a game on the computer. Then around 18:30 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Borough. I called Dohn and Carol to make sure that they heard the call and I told them to let me know over the portable if they needed the second unit so I could get a second crew together. Kim then went responding to the scene and said that he had two patients. My dad then started getting dressed and I heard Bill on the radio say that he was at the station and I asked him to either go with my dad or one of the Fetterhoff's. After both units got on the scene, Kim asked for two more units. Carol and Bill went to Holy Spirit, along with Ambulance 20-1. My father, Dohn and Kim went to Harrisburg Hospital with two patients. I then got dressed and left the house around 20:07 hours and headed into town. I stopped at the "Barn" and I signed my time sheets for January and then I went to the hair dressers and got my hair cut. After that I then headed on home and once at home took a shower and just finished eating a snack. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
