If you can't handle it all, get out!

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch and read the paper. I then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over, I got dressed and then got in my car and headed up to the fire house. While I was heading on up there, I called Bill and told him that I was heading up to the fire house. I got up there and Bubba was there, and we talked for a few minutes and then he headed on over to his house. Bill then showed up and I got my gear on. He first took a couple of shots of me in my gear. Then he took one with me holding my helmet at my side. After that I went and grabbed a flat head axe and a pick head axe. We then took a few pics in front of the tanker with me holding the axes. I then got the two pick poles off of the engine and then we took a few picks of me in front of the engine holding the pike poles. We then took a few pics with me holding one pike pole and one axe. I then grabbed a section of hose that was laying on the table and a nozzle off of the rear of the engine and then we took a few pictures of me holding the hose. After that I took my jacket off and hung it on one of the bumper lights of the engine. We then took a few pics of me leaning against the front of the engine, leaning on a pick head axe with my coat hanging on the bumper light. Bill then took a few of my jacket and helmet haning on the bumper light of the engine. We then took a few of me lounging on the lawn mower in the station. Bill then took a pic of me sitting in the officer's seat of the engine. After that, we talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the computer to do some things and work on 1989 out of the log book. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. Tragic School Bus Accident

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 08:00 hours. I moved my var out of the way and then woke my mom up so she could get ready to leave for her doctor's appointment. I then went back to bed and got back up at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got some trash together and took it out. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that I ate lunch while I played on the PS2. My mother came home around 12:30 hours and I helped her bring some stuff in from the car. I then got back on the PS2 and played. Around 15:00 hours I heard on the fire pager about an accident with unknown injuries in Washington Township. As I sat there listening to it, it started to sound worse. The next thing I knew, county was advising Chief 21-3 that Medic 6 was requesting a chopper for 2 unconscious person's. A little bit later the EMS pager went off for us to assist Medic 6 on the accident. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to the church in Fisherville so Dohn could pick me up. 20 got on the air and asked Medic 6 if they needed more help. 20 ended up being closer then we were, so they responded and we stayed available as most of the area was stripped of units. While I was waiting for Dohn, I heard them ask for a second chopper to fly out a third person. As I got in my car to leave, I heard Medic 6 advise county that the third person just coded. They ended up flying 2 people out and 2 of the people were signal 12's. I swung by the firehouse because I noticed that the Utility was out. Bubba was up at the hall unloading canned goods out of the back of the Utility. I helped him unload the rest of the stuff and we talked about the accident and about what I found on the websites. I then left there and headed on home. Once at home I watched the news and the accident was on the news. I then ate dinner while I worked on some things on the computer. Around 19:00 hours I got off to get cleaned up for my hair cut at 20:30 hours. I left the house at 20:04 hours and stopped at the "Barn" to log my times in for the past few days. I then went and got my hair cut and then headed up to Sheetz and got some gas and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then watched some TV and had a light snack. Amanda is home!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:36 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch, read the paper and watched my TV show. After that was over, I helped my mother hang up some towel's. I then got on the computer to do some things and to help my mother with her state taxes. That was when I found out that I had messed up on mine. So I had to go through about 2 hours of talking to the department of revenue and re-filling out my PA-40 form twice. Oh I was so mad. When I finished with that I got back to my typing as I am now on 1989 since I finished 1988 last night. I then got off the computer to eat dinner and watch some tv. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. This will be my last night to talk to Sue online for the next 4 to 5 days, as her and Bob will be heading out to Vegas. Fully Involved Railroad Car Fire

Went to bed last night arouns 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed at 06:30 hours when the fire pager went off for a train car fire in Halifax Borough. When the pager went off, I jumped out of bed and started to take my PJ's pants off, when I realized that it was the fire pager and not the EMS pager. I was like "FUCK", and grabbed the pager and layed back down in bed and listened to it. Capitan 29 went on the scene with a fully involved railroad car fire. I eventually reset the pager and went back to bed. I was rocked out of bed again around 07:27 hours when the pager went off for us to bring rehab supplies down to the fire scene. I got out of bed and got dressed, took my medications and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Carol had the bay door to 13-1 open and was getting rehab supplies. I went in and grabbed cups and put water and powerade in the one blue tub and then took that out to 13-1. We then got in and off we went. We accessed back through by the ballfields and down to the sewer plant. We got down there and I grabbed the camera and met Bones and he explained to me what they were doing and what we were there for. I then went back to the unit and grabbed my portable and took it along down with me. I got some good pictures and then kind of stood around and talked to some of the guys. At one point Charlie motioned for me and Sean to come over to the back to Engine 29-1. Charlie told me that since I like to help out so much to take the portable deck gun over on the tracks and set it up so they could flow water into the car. So as I tried to jump across the small stream of run off from the fire, I did not quite make it and my one foot went in the water and splashed it all over my left pant leg. I did not really care, since I could change my jeans when I got home. So me and Sean se the portable deck gun up and then they started flowing water. I stayed down there for awhile to observe and then they had us all move as the train was going to reconnect to the car and move it foward some and then disconnect again. Norfolk Southern then had a chery picker come down and take some of the ties out so the guys could soak the ties that were on the bottom of the car. I then helped Sean break down some of the 5" supply line that they had laid. After that we loaded all the rehab supplies up and then went out to Station 29 to have breakfast. While I was out there I was able to hose my boots off and then I ate breakfast. After we were done there, we headed back to the shed. Bill was there and helped us bring the rehab supplies in and clean them up some. I then logged my time in and then did my paperwork on the fire call. After that I headed on up to Giant to pick up a few things and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into a new pair of jeans and then watched my TV show. I did not read the paper at home, since I read it while I was at Station 29. After I was done watching my show, I got on the computer to do a few things and some typing. Brush Fire in Elizabethville

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:30 hours when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. 20 got out and we were cancelled. So I reset my pager and got out of bed and got changed. I then ate breakfast and read the paper while I watched my TV show. After that we loaded my mothers car up with stuff to take into the recycling bins. We went in there and dropped the stuff off and then headed on home. Once at home, I helped my mother hang up some towels outside and then I took a shower. Around 12:45 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Reed Township on the Clarks Ferry Bridge. A tractor trailer had overturned on the bridge. I listened to the pager and we got cancelled. My dad called about 30 minutes later and asked me if I had heard about the accident and I told him yes. He told me that he had been paged and I asked him if he wanted me to go down to the scene for him. He told me that he talked to Perry County and it did not sound that bad. So I then got on the computer to do some things. Then around 16:10 hours the fire pager went off for the tanker to transfer to Station 21, while Eville, Berrysburg, Millersburg, and Wiconisco were out on a brush fire. I got my shoes on and grabbed the pager and my cell phone and jumped in the car and headed up to the station. I was the first one there and I went inside and opened up the bay door for the tanker. I then opened up the passenegr's side compartment and put my gear in it. I then waited for someone to show up. Robbie and Jason showed up and they told me to stay behind inscase they needed the Utility. So I took my gear out of the tanker and stepped back and they took off in the tanker. I then took my bunker pants and put them beside the driver's side door of the Utility and put my helmet on top of them. I then hung my jacket on the corner of the brush guard on the front of the Utility. I then lounged out on the lawn mower in the station. Wes then showed up and he brought his gear in and we talked until the Tanker got back. I then put my gear away and then we all left. I headed on home and when I got home, my mother told me that class was cancelled for tonight and moved to next Monday night. I then ate dinner while I got back on the computer and I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Hot Times in Bristol!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township, for Company 20 or Company 13. 20 got out right after county was done dispatching and we were placed in service. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I woke up around 10:00 hours and got out of bed and got changed into a running suit and then ate breakfast and read the paper. Around 10:15 hours the pager went off for an unconscious person in Upper Paxton Township. Scott and one of the Matter's took the call. After I was done eating breakfast, I got on the PS2 and played until the start of the race. I ate lunch while I played on the PS2. Boy what a race that was. 500 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway. A lot of bumping and banging going on. Every car had at least some amount of damage done to it, be it major, moderate or minor. Kurt Busch won the race. Was looking good for Jeff Gordon, until Matt Kenseth spun him out on the last lap. It was a very exciting race. I did eat dinner while I watched the end of the race. Playboy Bunny

Went to bed last night around 01:50 hours and got up this morning at 07:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got dressed and left the house around 08:18 hours and headed on down to my grandparents house. I stopped at Gaberial Brothers first and did some very eayl christmas shopping and some birthday shopping. After I was done there, I headed on over to my grandparents house. I talked with my grandmother for a little bit and then my brother and grandfather showed up. We then talked some and then around 10:30 houes left the house and headed on over to Hoss's for lunch. We got there and we ate lunch. Oh my god that place is always so good. The food is great and so is the service. My brother and grandparnts go every saturday, so everyone that works on Saturday knows them and knows what table they like to sit at and what they all like to get. After we were done there, we went back to thier house and I sat in the living room and talked with my grandparents about the old days, while my brother went over to the East Mall for a bit. He came back and my one Aunt also stopped by and we talked for a little bit and then she left. I left thier house around 16:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I brought the stuff in and then took a shower and ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I also ate a snack while I played on the PS2. I got off of there around 21:00 hours and got on the compuuter to do some things. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. You Are Now An Offical Whacker

Went to bed last night around 02:40 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours while I ate lunch. I then read the paper and got on the computer to do some things. I finally finished the 1987 log today and will be starting on 1988 tomorrow evening. I then called Sue and talked to her while she was on the turnpike. I told her to meet me and Bill at the "Barn" and 19:00 hours tonight. I then got off the computer at 17:00 hours and ate dinner while I watched some TV. Then at 18:00 hours, I took a shower, put colonge on and then got dressed and headed into the shed. I pulled up beside Bill who has just got there himself. We went into the office and he showed me the cake and then I put it in the fridge in the kitchen. We then waited for Sue to show up. Sue showed up around 19:30 hours and she told us about what she did out with Amanda and then we had her open her cards and her gift. Needless to say, she was very surprised when she saw the blue light and very happy to have it. I then went out to the kitchen and got the cake ready while Bill talked to her. She was surprised when I brought the cake in and we sang to her, then she made a wish and blew out the candels. We then ate cake and talked for about 2 -1/2 hours altogether. When we left I carried the cake outside for her and sat it on the top of my car. I then got in the passenegr's seat of her car and set her blue light up for her and she tried it out. Needless to say, Sue is just thrilled to death that we got her the blue light for her birthday. We all then got in our cars and headed on home. Around 22:30 hours last night the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. I put my boots on and my father got his boots on and then we got in his truck and headed on into the "Barn". We got in there and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got the lady loaded and we cancelled Medic 6 and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged our time in and then pulled the times up on my call. I then put my tripsheet in my folder and we headed on home. Once at home I finished checking my email and then went to bed around 02:40 hours. I got up this morning around 11:40 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn" to let NAS get in to install the DVD burner on the one computer. As I went past Dohn and Carol's house, the pager went off for heart problems in Halifax Township. I plugged in my blue light and made my way into the shed. I got there and Bill was already there and so was Brian from NAS. I told Brian that I trusted him to not do anything and that when he was done to lock the office door. I got in 13-1 and Bill got in the back and once Carol got there, we went responding. We got out there and and got the lady loaded and took her and Medic 6 down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. I then logged my time in and did my paperwork from last nights call while me and Bill talked to Sue. After I was done there, I headed on up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then got on the PS2 and played some. I then ate dinner and watched some TV and then got back on the PS2 until 20:00 hours. I then got off and ate a light snack and got on the computer. I then took a shower at 21:00 hours. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Fire Pager

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 05:45 hours. I was not sure if I was going to go or not, so I slowly got dressed and got in my car and slowly made my way into the shed. As I passed Clugston's Farm, Dohn and Carol went responding in 13-1. That is all I needed to know and turned around at the "Barn" and headed on home. Once back at home, I talked to my mother for a little bit and then went back to bed for a few more hours. I got up again at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and tried to read the paper, but the cat got on my lap. Then around 10:30 hours, Bubba called me and told me that he had a pager for me at the fire house. I told him that I would be up in a few minutes. So I got my boots on and ran up to the fire house. I got my pager and then talked to Bubba for a little bit. He asked me if I would look around for prices for websites, cause he would like to get one for the company. I got back from that and sat down to read the paper and watch my TV show, when the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked the car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We picked up Bill at the shed and then continued on up to the scene. Once we got there, we got the guy loaded up and took him and medic 6 down to Holy Spirit Hospital. It was a full house down there, with at least 5 to 6 amublances and 3 squads. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We stopped back at the shed and dropped Bill off, and I logged my time in. Dohn then took me back out to his house. Once I got my car, I headed on home. Once at home I got the mail and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. My mother then came home and I helped her bring some stuff in. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then ate a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Install America

Went to bed last night around 02:10 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:30 hours when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. Since I was off today, I grabbed the pager and laid in bed listening to it. After about 20 minutes when I did not hear what the outcome of the accident was, I reset my pager, put it back in my charger and went back to sleep. I got up at 10:56 hours and got out of bed and ate lunch while I watched my TV Show. After that I read the paper and then got dressed. I then headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Gary and someone else was there working on the generator, Dohn, Carol and Susie were also there. I parked the car and went back and watched Gary work on the generator until Bill got there. I then typed the minutes up from both meetings last night. I then looked at ACT 45 while I waited for NAS to call the station. I finally called up there again around 15:45 hours and they said that they would come down sometime tomorrow to put the DVD drive in. I then left and and headed up to the store. I picked up some thing for myself and then headed on home. Once at home I saw that the guy from Install America was here to talk to my parents about replacement windows and siding. I brought the food in and then took a shower and then got in the computer to do some things. My parents decided to go with Install America. The guy should be leaving soon and I can finally get something to eat then. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The Monthly Death March

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:45 hours when the pager went off for a fall person in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed on into the "Barn". I got in there and just as I was turning in, 20 went responding and we were placed in service. I pulled in and Scott was coming out of the shed. So me and Scott talked for a few minutes and then we both left and I headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched TV. Around 09:30 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and Scott had just pulled 13-1 out. I parked and got in and Bill pulled up and quickly jumped in and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. We waited down there for about 45 minutes and then after we got what we needed, we headed on home. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then went back to the shed. Once back there, I logged my time in and pulled the times up for the call. The three of this then talked to a little bit and then Scott left. Me and Bill then talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I made lunch and then sat down to watch the rest of the race. Kasey Kane won the race. It was a good race and they were able to get it in today. I then got on the computer to do a few things and ate dinner while I was on the computer. Then at 18:00 hours, I got changed and then me and my father left here around 18:30 hours and headed on into the shed for the meeting tonight. The meeting was long and then afterwards, I helped Sue do her tripsheet from Saturday's call. After that we talked some and then me and my father headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a very light snack. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Cold Chicken BBQ

Went to bed last night around 02:20 hours and got up this morning around 06:00 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and took my medication, went outside and brought the paper in. I then got breakfast and took the paper back to my bedroom. I then ate breakfast, read the paper and got online to do some post for today. Around 06:50 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough. 20 went responding right after dispatch and we were cancelled. I then got dressed and then left the house around 07:20 hours and headed on up to the fire house. I got up there and parked my car and went into the fire house and waited for people to start showing up. Robbie was the first to show up around 07:35 hours and was surprised to see me there. He pulled the tanker out and put his gear in it. Bubba then came over and put his gear into the tanker and then they both left and headed on up to Millersburg to attend the other hald of the Farm Rescue Class that was this weekend. I started taking chiars up to the hall, when Dave and Holly pulled in. Me and Dave then went into the old firehouse and started putting charcoal into the trailer. Andy and Lonnie then showed up next, followed by Helen, Bev, Katina, Leeann, and Lyle. After we got the trailer filled up, I brought the Utility over and we hooked the trailer up and pulled it over in the lot across from the firehouse. We then went up to the hall and I helped wrap rolls in little plastic baggies. We then went back down and started the fires and then put the chickens on. We had all four racks off by 10:15 hours, and I called Bill, Dohn and Sue. Bill came out first, then Dohn. Sue called me a little later and said she did not feel like chicken. We then loaded 25 meal's and chickens in a big box and then me and Dave loaded them into the back of my car, and then put two bags of soda's up front. I then ran them up to Millersburg's Station for the class to have for lunch. I talked with Bubba and Doug for a little bit up there and then I headed on back down to the fire house. When I got back they still had some chicken half's left, but they were for people that had already called in. I got and paid for my two halfs and then put them in my car. We then finished up and cleaned up and put the trailer and Utility away and then we all left and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate lunch while I sat down to watch the race. Well it was raining down in Atlanta and they postponned the race until tomorrow. So me and my mother then got online and did my federal tax return and I am getting money back this year. After that I then got on the PS2 and played some just to relax. I ate dinner while I was playing. I then changed into uniform and had a light snack. You and me are going to get real, real close

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got uut of bed this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ran a cake into the "Barn" for the Fort Halifax benifit dinner that was going on tonight. After I dropped it off, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer. Then around 16:00 hours I headed on back into the shed to help with the dinner. I got there and parked out back by the office. I signed some paperwork for firemen's relief and then went out into the kitchen to see if anyone needed any help with anything. I helped with a few things and then went back to the office and talked with Bill and Sue. We then went back out to the kitchen around 17:00 hours to help woth whatever needed done. At 18:53 hours the pager went off for heart problems in Halifax Township. Me, Sue and Dohn took the call. As we got closer, county kept updating us and told us that it might be a possible code. We got on the scene, Dohn parked on the side walk. I jumped out and grabbed the bag and ran into the house. Sue was right behind me with the AED and Suction. The guy was sitting in a chair in the dinning room. Sue grabbed he table and pulled it back and I wrapped my arms under the guys arm pits and pulled him down onto the floor. The guy did not code, he just had agonial respirations. We had the fire department dispatched for medical assist and traffic control. Medic 6 showed up and got set up in the unit and we got the guy onto the stretcher and then loaded him into the back of the unit. We then took off for Harrisburg Hospital, class 1. On the way down Dave (the medic) and Sue got to know each other. Dave had to get real close to Sue to try and get an IV in, which ended up blowing anyway. His student medic then found a nice vein on my side and Dave came around and told me that him and me were going to get real, real close. He eneded up alomst stradling me on the captian's chiar, I had the guys hand resting on my right shoulder, and Dave was leaning over me trying to get an IV in. He got on in, but nothing came out. This guy was extremely hard to get an IV into him. We got him down to the hospital and got him moved over. I knew when we left, Sue said that she had just come from back there, and things did not look good for the guy. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We dropped the medics off at Sheetz and then headed back to the shed. Once back at the shed, Gary and Jack were still working on the middle bay door that the pin feel out of it. Gary ended up pushing the door up manually and then we backed the unit in so he could got on top of it and reach the pin better. We restocked the uint and I grabbed some cake and food and then headed on out. I dropped some stuff off at the recycling bins, then mailed something at the post office and then went up to Sheetz and got gas. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. County Engine and Tanker 216 responding

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and my mother woke me up at 09:30 hours this morning to move my car so she could leave to go down to her grandparents house. After I moved my car, I went back in the house and layed down in bed and fell back asleep. I was rocked out of bed around 12:15 hours this afternoon when the pager went off for a corn field fire in Jackson Township. Since I was off today I was able to go with the FD. So I got out of bed and turned the ambulance pager off. I quickly threw on socks, jeans, a t-shirts, shoes, my glasses, hearing aid, grabbed my wallet, cell phone, hat and keys and jumped in my car and headed off to the fire house. I got there and pulled in and the house siren was still winding down. I got out of the car and went into the station. I went in and Bruce asked who was there and I told him who. As I was getting my pants on, he told me that he was going to take the tanker and me and Jason would take the engine. So I finished getting my gear on and got in the officers seat of the engine. Jason got in and I put both the engine and the tanker responding and off we went. My right foot on the pedal on the floor working the Q and my left hand pulling on the landyard working the air horns. We got there and me and Jason went through a field to get to the one side of the fire. I pulled a preconnect off and went to work on a brush pile that was burning. We spent about i would say 2-1/2 hours on the scene, putting out hot spots. We then rolled up hose and filled the tank on the engine back up. Helping us were Brush 29 from Halifax, Tanker 21 from Elizabethville, and Brush and Engine 19 from Carsonville. After that we went back to the station and cleaned hose and re packed the preconnect on the engine. After that I backed the Utility in and Bruce and Jason ran into Halifax to refill the tanker. Me and Sean talked for a little bit and then we both left. I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and took a shower. My mother then pulled up and we talked some and then I got in the PS2 and played for about 4 hours. I ate dinner while I was on there. A New Chair

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours when the phone rang. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. While I was reading the paper, the bug guy showed up to do an inspection of the house, check all of the stuff he put down the last time he was here and to spray again. After he left we watched out TV show. NAS then called and I had to run into the "Barn". They brought the computer down to the shed to install the new program down there, since he needed some stuff off of the other computer. I was in there for about 20 minutes and the guy was done and I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and then got on the computer to do some things. Around 16:30 hours the pager went off for a fainting in Halifax Borough. I quickly called Bill on his cell phone and asked him if he could cover for me due to me having training at 19:00 hours. He said that he could and then I called Carol and let her know. I then ate dinner and then took a shower. I then got dressed and then got in my car and headed on down to County for my EMA training tonight. I got down there and pulled in beside my father and we both went down. Training lasted for about an hour and then we left and headed on home. We both stopped at the shed. I logged my time in and he did some work on the computer now that it was back. We then both left and headed on home. Once at home I got my new office chair out of the back of my father's truck and took it into the house and back to my room. I took apart my old one and put the new on together. I then ate a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Day off

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 09:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and ran into the "Barn" and shut down the other computer. After I shut it down, I disconnected it and then put it in my car and ran it up to NAS for that new program to be put on it. After that I headed on up to Sheetz. I went past Thursdays fire scene again to take a look at it in the daylight. I then went past the high school and pulled out on to Peters Mountain Road. I had just passed Dollar General when I heard on the fire pager, 29 get dispatched for a cardiac arrest at the Giant. I quickly turned my blue light on and whipped out in the turning lane and passed someone, and then turned in to Giant and parked in the fire lane and got out. I started to head for the store, when one of the employees, pointed at a van in the hadnicapped spot and I went over to it. The van had come to a stop as , it was backing out when I pulled up. I opened the front passenger side door and it turned out to be more of syncope, and was not a cardaic arrest. The employee that had made the phone call came out and asked me if I still wanted medical to come in and I said yes, and then she asked if I wanted to talk to county and I said yes. So she gave me the cell phone and I got on and identified myself and the person from County was Jeff Enders. I explained to Jeff what we had and told him to keep 29 coming in for medical assistance. Scott pulled up about a minute later and then I took a BP on the guy and we got some information. Engine 29-1 then showed up followed by Medic 6-2 and QRS 6-6, which then became a MICU. We put the guy on a backboard and then put him on 6's stretcher and then put him in the back of their unit. They took him down to Hershey Medical Center. I then went up to Sheezt and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch, read the paper adn watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that I got on the computer for a little bit to do some things. I got off arounf 14:00 hours and then got in my car and headed in to town. I stopped at the recycling bins and dropped of a few things and then went down to have my massage. I had the new girl there and she was very good. I was able to ralex for a day and enjoy myself and not be all stressed out. After I was done there, I ran up to Giant and got some cat food and milk and iced tea. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I went to get online and found out that my internet provider was down, so I got on the PS2 and played until 23:00 hours. Another Worker in Tower City

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 04:40 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems. I got out of bed and got dressed, got my boots on and got in my car. They then dispatched a fall person in Jackson Township. I headed into the "Barn" and Scott was there when I pulled in. Him and me jumped in 13-2 and we took off for the breathing problems and Dohn and Carol took the fall person in 13-1. Me and Scott got on the scene and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital with Medic 6 on borad. While we were on our way down, we heard 13-1 ask for a medic and the fire department for lifting assitance. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. As we were turning on to Cameron Street in the city, 13-1 went enroute to Holy Spirit, a full hour after they arrived on scene. We passed them in Matamoras. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and pulled my times up and then did my paperwork for the call. After I was done with that, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and ate breakfast. I then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. I got on the computer around 12:00 hours and around 12:45 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got in my car and headed over to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-1 and Carol got in and off we went. We picked Bill up at the shed and continued on up there. We got up there and got the lady loaded and took her down to Hershey Medical Center. We had to wait 45 minutes for a bed down at Hershey, it was really jammed. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We stopped at the shed to drop the backboards off and Bill off also. I logged my time in and then Carol ran me out to my car. Meanwhile I was listening to what was going on up in Tower City with the second alarm working structure fire. Once at home I got on CentralPAFire.com and looked at the thread on the fire. I was sitting in my room on the computer and I heard the fire pager talking, and the next thing I knew, the house siren was going off. Scott got online and told me that Engine 216 was transferring to Station 22. So I grabbed the fire pager to try and listen to some of what was going on. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Review

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and woke up around 10:00 hours this morning. I layed in bed and relaxed a little bit and the pager went off around 10:45 hours for a sick person in Jackson Township. The address was on Creek Drive, so I knew I was going to the scene. So I got out of bed and I took my time gettin dressed since I did not have far to go. I got dressed and then got in my car and headed on down to the scene. I got there and got information down and then Dohn and Bill showed up with 13-2. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We dropped Bill off at the "Barn" and then Dohn ran me out to my car. Once I got my car, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then got in the computer to do somethings. I continued working on 1986 of the log book. My parents then came home and I helped them bring some stuff in and then got back on the computer and ate dinner. I then took a shower and then got dressed and headed into Station 29 for the critque of the row home fire. That lasted for about 3 horus and I talked with some people afterwards. I then headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and watched a little tv. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Look at the Fog

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and took a shower and then read the paper and ate lunch. I then got on the computer and did some things and continued to work on 1986 out of the log book. I got off at 16:00 hours to watch the race and eat dinner. It was a very slow day, not a lot to do and not a lot happened. After I was done eating dinner, I got changed into my uniform and then me and my father got in my car and headed into the "Barn". Training was held for about 2 hours and then me and Bill talked some. Me and my father then headed on home. Boy was it ever foggy out. I took my time going home and I hope Sue and Bill did also. Rolled Over

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours as my ass was dragging. I was rocked out of bed at 01:30 hours when the pager went off for an accident with injuries and roll over in Halifax Township. I grabbed the pager and layed in bed and listened to it. I told my dad that if no one called the house, I was not going, so he went back to bed also. They ended up taking two people down to Hershey Medical Center. I fell back asleep and woke up again at 07:57 hours and I found out that I was laying on top of my pager and it was still talking. So I reset my pager and put it back in the charger and then went back to bed. I got up again at 10:20 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed, took my medication and then me and my father got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". We got in there and we dropped off a cake for the funeral today. We then talked to Bill, Viv and Gary for about 30 minutes. We then left and went down to the post office where I dropped off some mail and then we went to Giant, where we picked up some water, iced tea and milk. We then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do some things. Around 13:10 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Borough. Me and my dad got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We stopped at Shell and got disiel and then went back to the shed. Once at the shed, I logged our time in and then pulled the times up for the call. I then did my paperwork on the call. After that we headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer for a little bit. I then helped my father move some stuff from the basement out to the shed. I then got back on the computer. The Smell of Smoke is Still Present

Went to bed very late last night and went to bed around 03:45 hours. I was rocked out of bed at 05:11 hours for a fall person in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there right after Dohn and we got in 13-2 and off we went. We got out there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We stopped at Sheetz and I grabbed something for breakfast to eat. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then pulled my times up for the call. I then did my paperwork and talked to Dohn for a few minutes. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours and ate lunch. I then got on the computer to do some things. Around 14:30 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Reed Township in front of the Red Rabbit. I got in my car and headed into Dohn's house. I got there and Bill pulled in behind me. We got to Hales Half Acres, when we were placed in service. So we turned around and went back out to Dohns house. I then got in my car and headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer and I ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then took a shower and got dressed and me and my father headed up to Williamstown for the Dauphin County Firemen's Executive Meeting. The meeting lasted about 1 hour and then they had food afterwards. We left there around 21:30 hours and headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Working Structure Fire

Around 23:45 hours last night the pager went off for a cardiac arrest in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and my father got dressed and then we got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". We got in there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there right after the fire department and they called a signal 12. So we got information and then waited for the corner to call. Talked to the corner and then called the funeral home and then waited for them to show up. Once they got there we helped them with removing the body and then we headed back to the shed. Once there I logged our times in and pulled the times up and then we headed on home. I went to bed around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:00 hours for a call in Millerbsurg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the shed. I got in there and got in 13-2 and off we went. Scott called me on the portable and told me that 29 was just tapped out for a structure fire on South Second Street. We got down to the post office and it was like HOLY SHIT!!! We had medic 6 take the Millersburg call and we took the structure fire. As we pulled up in front of the VFW, we called county and advised them of a working structure fire. I grabbed the camera and got out and started up towards the house to get some pictures. As I was walking up the sidewalk, I heard the gun powder in the house exploding. I then got a pic and talked to Thomas and he said that everyone was out of the buildings. Thomas then told me that when the engine got there he wanted 5" dropped in the street and 3" connected to the hydrant. Engine 29-1 pulled up and they dropped 5" and took off. I then ran to the back of the engine and grabbed the 3" and hand-jacked it back to the hydrant and connected it. I then took a look at the lady from the house that it started in and she was ok. By that time, Engine 216 had dropped 5" and went down to the river to draft water. Engine 21 also went down to the river and Engine 20 had the tanker fill site at Deppen Park. The fire was really going when I took Scott's truck and went back to the station and grabbed rehab supplies and then headed back to the scene. It ended up being a 3 alam fire. Compnay's that were on the scene were: Halifax EMS, Halifax, Fisherville, Elizabethville, Millersburg, Berrysburg, Dauphin, Rescue of Susquehanna Township, Progress, Lingelstown, Paxtang, Duncannon, New Buffalo, Sumerdale, Salvation Army, PSP, Fire Marshal 91, and Halifax Police. We were out there for about 6 hours. While we were out there we got hit for seizures at Giant in Halifax T0wnship. Dohn and Bill took the call, and me and Carol stayed there with 13-2. It will be a day that wille be talked about for sometime to come. All four rowhomes were pretty much totaled, with two being gutted and at least two majorly damaged. After we were done there, we ran up to Shell and got disiel and then we stopped at Rite Aid, where I dropped of a perscription of mine to be refilled and also drop off the camera from 13-2, and then we went back to the shed. As we got near the shed, around 16:45 hours the pager went off for abdominal pains in Halifax Township. Dohn and Bill took that call also. Once back at the shed, I quickly watched the news and then helped clean things up. I then did my paperwork from last nights call and pulled the times up for the fire and logged my time in also. Aftere that I went back up to Rite Aid and picked up the pictures. I then ran out to Station 29 to show some of the guys the pics. While I was out there, Fisherville got hit for a tree fire. After I was done in there, I stopped at McDonald's and grabbed something for dinner and then stopped at Station 216 to show the guys the pics. While I was there the pager went off for a CVA in Halifax Borough. I headed in and when I got there got in 13-2 and me and Kim took off. We got there ahd Medic 6 was already there. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Ostoe Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We ran the medic back up to Eville to the station and then went back to our station. Once there I logged my time in and did my paperwork and then I headed home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a light snack and then watched a little tv. I am going to bed shortly.

Flipper

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 07:52 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn pulled 13-2 out and I got in and off we went. We got out to the scene the same time that Medic 6 did. We got the guy loaded up and took him down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We went back out to the scene and dropped Flipper off at the squad and then we ran out to the fire station and dropped off a backboard we had found at Hershey. We then went back to the shed. Once at the shed I logged my time in and then pulled my times up for the call and then did my paperwork for the call. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I watched my TV show. After that I helped my mother around the house for a little bit and then I got on the computer to do a few things. Research!!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and did a few things on the computer while I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then left here around 07:00 hours and headed up to Troutman's in Millersburg to have my car inspected. I got up there and handed everything over to them and then waited on my car and read a magazine. My car passed with flying colors, so I am good for another year now. After I was done there, I went over to the Sentinal office and researched the years, 1964, 1965, and 1966, which took up most of the day, with me leaving there around 14:30 hours and heading on home. I stopped at Rite Aid and picked up my medication, and then went to Sheetz and got gas and something to eat and then headed on home. Once at home I enterd the stuff I found during research into my computer and ate dinner while I did it. I took a shower at 21:00 hours and then ate a snack. Day Off Part 1

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got out of bed this morning around 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got dressed and then me and my mother got into my car and we headed on down to our doctor's appointments. We stopped at Giant before we went over to our doctor's office. I went in first and then my mother went in after me. After we were done there, we went over to Target. There I got Grand Theft Auto, San Andreans for the PS2 and I got a bigger according folder for all of my research on local fire companies. We then went over to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and we looked in there for a while. Then we went over to Costco and got two cases of water and then from there we went over to A.C. Moore's so my mother could get some dipping chocolate. From there we went o my grandparents house and spent 3 to 4 hours just sitting in there living room and talking away, the four of us. We had such a good time, but then me and my mother had to leave to head on home. We left down there around 14:30 hours and got home around 15:10 hours. We unloaded the car and then I got on the computer and did a few quick things. I then got off the computer and got on the PS2 to play Grand Theft Auto for a little bit while I ate dinner. I then left the house around 18:44 hours and headed up to the fire hall for the meeting. The meeting lasted for about 2 hours and then I headed on home after talking with some of the guys up there. Once at home I took a shower and ate a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. 5 for the year now!

Around 21:48 hours last night the pager went off for cold exposuere in Wayne Township. Me and my father got in his truck and headed into the "Barn". We got in there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We had county dispatch the fire department since the guy was supposed to be sitting/laying along the side of the road. We got out there and got the guy in the unit and stripped all of his wet clothes off and wrapped him in warm blankets. We then found out that the guy had wrecked his car in the creek about 500 yards back down the road. The guy did not want to go down to the hospital, so he got handed off to PSP and we went back to the shed. Once there, I logged our times in and did my paperwork on the call. We then headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer for a little bit and then went to bed around 02:30 hours. I got up this morning around 11:00 hours and got out of bed and took my medications. I then wnet into the bathroom to get ready to take a shower. I was doing my business when the pager went off for an ATV accident in Jackson Township. I did not get ready because I was off. About 2 minutes later, I heard the house siren go off. So I quickly finished up and quickly got dressed, got in my car and fly up to the station. I got there and parked and ran inside the station and I saw that the engine was already gone. I heard the Utility start up and I ran around the front of the tanker and saw that Bubba was in the driver's seat. I motioned to him to wait for me and he nodded and I ran back over and got my gear on and jumped in and we took off. We got on the scene and my father was already there and Medic 6 was pulling up at the same time, followed by the engine and Warren, as they had accidently blown by it. The guy really wrecked up by Treverton and drove down to his grandparents house. We did not really do much except help get the guy on the backboard and then onto the stretcher and then into the ambulance. We then headed back to the station. Once back at the station a few of us talked for about an hour and then we all left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then read the paper and ate lunch. I then sat down and watched the Busch race from Mexico City. I then ate dinner and got on the computer to do a few things. Around 19:00 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Dohn and Carol just went responding with 13-2 and are going to take the call. Everytime he burped, bubbles came out of his mouth

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 09:00 hours for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my fathers truck and we headed into the "Barn". We got in there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and 29 and Scott were already there. We parked and went over and we found out that we had a second Pt. So my dad had county dispatch our second unit to the scene at that time. I went over and got a backboard and we put the lady on the backboard and then put her on the bench seat in 13-2 since her husband was already on the stretcher. 13-1 then showed up and they took the husband out on the stretcher and we put their stretcher in and moved the lady over from the bench seat onto the stretcher. The couples daughter rode down with us as she was not injuried. We took all three of them down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. The 4 of us stopped at Denny Lennies and had breakfast. After that we headed back to the shed. Bill was there when we got back. I logged our times in and then I did my paperwork from the call. Dohn and Carol then headed on home and me, my dad and Bill talked for awhile. After that we headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then got on the computer to do some things. Around 14:30 hours the pager went off for seizures in Halifax Borough. Me and my dad got in his truck and headed back into the shed. Bill had just parked as we turned in. I got out of bed and got dressed and just as I finished tyeing my boot, Scott got on and said to cancell us as he was on scene and everything was fine. I took my medication and then went back to bed and got up again at 10:00 hours. I got dressed again and then ate breakfast while I read the paper. My TV show at 11:00 hours is into repeats now, so I came back and got on the computer to do some things. Around 11:45 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn." I got in there and 13-2 was already pulled out. I parked my car and got out and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in for the call and then the three of us talked for a little bit. I then headed up to Giant and Dohn headed on home. I got a gallon of mlik at Giant and boy was that place ever packed. I then headed on home. The Calm After The Storm

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got dressed and then I ate lunch while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. At 12:00 hours my parents left and went down to the Home Builders Show at the Farm Show Complex. I then got on the computer and continuned working on 1983 of the log book. It was a slow slow day today with no calls what so ever. My parents then got home at 17:00 hours and then I ate dinner while I worked on the computer. Electrical Interferance

Went to bed last night arond 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:45 hours when the pager went off for I think it was breathing problems, not 100% sure as I was still sleepy. I grabbed the pager and layed in bed and listened to it and drifted back off to sleep. I then got up around 08:30 hours and got dressed and had a small breakfast. I then shut my computer down and unhooked it from everything and loaded it into my car and headed into town to NAS to drop it off. After I dropped it off, I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. I think it was around 11:45 hours the pager went off again for a call and Dohn, Carol and Bill took it since it was my day off today. I then made lunch and got on the PS2 and played "Medal of Honor, Frontline". Somewhere in there, the pager went off again for another call for Millersburg, but they had just went enroute with the call they had just had. My mother then got home from visiting her parents and I helped her bring things in from the car. I then called NAS and talked to them and they told me that they did not hear the noise. So I told them that I would be in there in about 15 minutes. So I headed on down there and I let them listen to the tape of the noise I got and they said that it sounded like electrical interferance. So I got my computer back and then headed on home. Once at home I hooked it back up and it worked ok. I then got back on the PS2 and at dinner while I played on it. I then got changed into my uniform since I am on tonight. I then watched 2 hours of tv and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Slow Day

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 09:25 hours when Keystone called the house. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast while I read the paper. After that I got my boots on and headed into town. I stopped at the post office and got 2 books of stamps. I then headed on back to the "Barn". Once there I logged my time in for yesterday and then waited for Keystone so show up. Lewis got there around 11:15 hours and he put the "T" connection in 13-2 and fixed the passengers sides running board light. He then left and I headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer and was able to finish 1982 today. I ate lunch while I was on the computer and I also ate dinner while I was on the computer. I left the house around 20:25 hours and headed into town to get my hair cut. After I was done there I ran out to Sue's and picked up the hard drive and we talked for a little bit. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a light snack and watched a little tv. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. My computer will be going to the shop tomorrow, so there might not been any new post for a few days, depending on how things go. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
