It's Gettin Hot, Hot, Hot!

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours. I went to bed with the fan on high and my window open as it was quite warm last night. I was rocked out of bed around 06:30 hours when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. We got cancelled right away and I reset the pager and went back to bed. My mother woke me up next and asked me to move my car so she could leave to go to her doctor's appointment in Harrisburg. So after I moved my car I went back to bed. The phone rang at 09:15 hours and it was my dad asking if my mother was up and I told him that she left 10 minutes ago. I then went back to sleep. Around 10:00 hours, CA called and left a message for my mother to call them about setting up a stress test. After I hung up with them, I went back to bed. Next my mother's sister called the hosue asking if my mother was home and I said no. I then went back to sleep. Around 12:00 hours Bill called and we talked for a little bit. I then got up and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I played on the PS2. I tried out my other new game, Medal of Honor Euopean Assault. I ate dinner while I played and got off around 21:00 hours. I then watched a little tv and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Happy Memorial Day

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 07:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got my boots on and headed into the "Barn" to meet up with Sue, Bill and Dohn for the Memorial Day Parade today in town. I got in there and both units had been pulled out and were hosed down. Carol was putting wreath's on the front of the units and Sue and Bill were in the office talking. I talked with them until we were ready to leave. We then headed on down to the park and Fisherville was already there with the engine and tanker when we got there. We parked the units and put flags on the mirror's. The parade started at 09:30 hours. It was a very short parade, if you blinked, you missed it. We then went to the cemetary for the memorial service. After that was over we headed back to the shed. We took the flags and wreath's off the units and then I talked with Bill and Sue for a little bit and then I left. I headed up to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and then headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played one of my new games. I ate lunch and dinner while I played on the PS2. I just finished taking a nice cool shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Party Time!!!!

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:42 hours when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg, I heard my dad run the unit into the "Barn", and after Deb and Susie went responding, I reset the pager and went back to bed. I then got up around 08:30 hours. I got out of bed and I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then took a shower and got dressed and we loaded up my mother's van and headed on down to my Grandparents house for my birthday party today. However, we first stopped at Lowe's to pick up some new numbers for on the house. We then stopped and me and my mother got a lottery ticket. We then went over to my grandparents house. Once there we talked some and then my grandmother gave me a gift and told me to open it right then. It was a DVD of this really funny guy that uses puppets. We watched it, and oh my god, it is so freakin funny! After that was over, we ordered two pizza's and breadsticks from Pizza Hut. Me and my brother then ran over to pick the stuff up and headed back to the house. Once back there we ate and then I opened up the rest of my gifts. My mother got me another watch, and two games for the PS2. My brother gave ma $100.00 and my grandparents gave me $70.00 plus the DVD. I also opened Bill's gift and it was a DVD of the 1998 convention of the TV Show Emergency. It also had a Bloopers DVD, misc. pictures, a flyer from the convention, and a copy of the script of the last episode that was made. After that we watched a little tv and then we had my birthday cake. We left there around 16:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home we got everything in and I got my gift's put away. I then headed into the shed to do the paperwork from the call last night. After that I headed on home to watch the race. Kasey Kane won the race and Jimmie Johnson came in second. Jeff wrecked with a little over 40 laps to go and was done for the evening. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 07:45 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then started getting ready for the Fort Halifax Festival today that we had to cover. We got some water together in a cooler and also some snacks. We then headed into the "Barn". We got in there and Bill was already there. My dad brough 13-2 around back and we loaded the stuff into the unit. He went and grabbed the helmet's off of 13-1, while I went and put ice in the cooler. I then put that in the uint and then we headed up to Giant. Once up there we picked up some Kool-Aid singles for in our bottles of water. We then headed on down to the Yeager Farm. Once down there, we were parked in front of the barn. My dad put the goggles on the 4 helmet's from the uints. Then around 10:50 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries on 22/322 at the 11/15 interchange. We got in 13-2 and took off. We got all the way over onto the island and was working our way through traffic, when we were placed in service. We continued on into the scene since we could not turn around. We then headed on down to the Watts exit and turned around and headed back to the Yeager Farm. Once back there, I got lunch and then we pretty much sat around or inside the unit. I pulled one of those chairs out to sit on. I then went over to watch the Twin Valley Players Road Show perform. After that I went and got a snow-cone and went back to sitting around the unit. Around 15:00 hours we all got in the unit and turned it on and turned the air on. We left there around 16:40 hours and we headed back up to Giant so we could pick up some popcorn for my mother/ I went over to Rite Aid and got a card for my cell phone. After that we went back to the shed and we put the helmet's away and dropped Bill off. We then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and got on the PS2 to play a little bit. My father gave me a birthday gift and told me to open it. It was the NASCAR 2006 game for the PS2. Shortly after that, the pager went off for back pains in Duncannon Borough. We got cancelled when we got into Fisherville. So we turned around and headed back home. Once at home I put in my new game and played it for about 1-1/2 hours. I then got off around 20:30 hours and got on the computer to do somethings. Around 21:20 hours the pager went off for a pshycoscamits in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in 13-2 and off we went. We staged on Creek Road until PSP got on the scene. They stopped on the way up and told us that the guy was going to be transported to Philhaven hospital. We then called county and had them dispatch the fire department to the scene so we could have an extra guy in the back with me on the way down. We got on the scene and PSP put the guy in the back and then Chuck from the fire department got on and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital instead of Philhaven. After we transferred care over to the hospital, I went over to registration and Steph was there. Her and me talked for a little bit and she wished me a happy birthday. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped Chuck off at Station 29 and then we went to Shell and got disiel. We then went back to the shed and I logged our time in and got the times for the call. I then put the tripsheet in my bin and we headed on home. I am now getting ready to do a quick sweep of my email and then I am going to bed. It was a long fun filled birthday for me, and am looking foward to the party tomorrow.

Sunbury

Went to bed last night around 02:50 hours and was rocked out of bed around 07:50 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Carol was covering for me so I did not have to go. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. After I was done I got dressed and then got in my car to head down to Poly. I stopped at the "Barn" to take a few pictures of the sige out front and then I continued on down to Poly. Once down there, I got my hearing aid back and was down there for about 20 minutes and I was done. So I then headed on home. I stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea and then headed on home. I called Carol and let her know I was back in the area now. Once at home I went inside and talked to my mother for a little bit. The doctor's office called for my mother and asked her if she could come in to get another EKG done, and she said she would be right in. 30 seconds after she left, at 10:56 hours, the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. I got in my car and headed into the shed. I got behind my mother and it took her until we passed Clugston's for her to pull over. I got there and parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there and we got the lady loaded up and headed on up tp Sunbury. After we got what we needed there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at the Sunco outside of Herndon and I ran inside and grabbed something to eat. We then headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and did my paperwork from the call. Bill showed up and gave me my birthday gift which I am keeping to open up during my party on Sunday. I then went out into the bay and talked with Lavonne for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do somethings and I finished 2001. I ate dinner and then headed up to the fire house to work on the Utility. I called Wes on his cell phone and left a message, but he never came down to help. Boy did ti ever rain and rain hard while I was up there. At one point I had to finally close the bay doors, as it was raining in. Bill showed up to lend moral support as I work on the back of the Utility. I was able to finish the back of the Utility tonight, so I do not have that much left to clear initally, and then the week of convention, do a final over of everything to make sure it is clean. I then waited out most of the heavy rain up at the fire station. When the rain slowed down, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a light snack. Haircut

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and ate lunch and read the paper. Then around 13:30 hours the pager went off for Smoke in a Building in Millersburg Borough. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". As I pulled in they cancelled us. So I headed back home. Once at home I got on the computer to do some things and to work on 2001. Around 16:30 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got in my car and headed back into the shed. I pulled in behind Dohn and we both got in 13-2 and off we went. Once on the scene we cancelled Medic 6 and then loaded the lady up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then left and heade on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then I headed into town to get my hair cut. After I was done there, I headed on home. I swang by the firehouse when I saw Bubba backing the tanker in and we talked for awhile. I then headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Everything is done with the house

Went to bed last night around 00:30 hours as I was really tired. I was rocked out of bed at 06:30 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Upper Paxton Township at the Manor at Susquehanna Village. 20 got out right away and we were cancelled. I reset the pager and went back to bed. I was awaken again around 09:00 hours when the guys started working in the siding again. I got up shortly afterwards and changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched either the season finale or series finale of Starting Over at 11:00 hours. After that I got on the computer to do somethings and to work on the county website. The siding guys finished up today and a guy came up to install the storm doors. I headd into the "Barn" at 16:20 hours to meet with the chief's. After I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I changed into my uniform and I just finished eating dinner. New Siding is going on

Went to bed last night around 01:45 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:30 hours when the pager went off for an unconscios person in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn pulled in a few minutes later. We both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and Engine 20 was there along with Medic 6. They got the lady loaded in the ambulance and then we spent some time on the scene getting things done to her. The medic put a tube down her throat and then I bagged her the whole way down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. The medic had someone come down to the station to pick him up. After I was done with the paperwork, I ran up to Giant and picked up a few things and then headed on home. Once at home I sat down to watch my TV show. The siding guys from Install America were already here and were working on the back of the house. Around 11:30 hours the pager went off for Smoke in a Structure in Millersburg Borough. I got back in the car and headed to Dohn's house. As I pulled into the driveway Command 20 placed the box in service. So I turned around and headed back home. Once at home again I had lunch while I watched the end of my show. After that I read the paper and then got on the computer to do some things and to work on 2001. Around 13:30 hours the pager went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township at the Manor at Susquehanna Village. I got in my car and headed over to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-2 and then Bill pulled in, got in 13-2 and off we went. This was Medic 6's third call and a few minutes later they got hit for a call in Lykens which Williamstown ended up taking and meeting up with Perry Medic 81. We got up there and loaded the guy up and went down to Harrisburg Hospital BLS. While we were heading down to the hospital, we got hit for another call in Millerburg Borough at the Health Center. My father and Carol took that call and went to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed at Harrisburg Hospital and headed on home. As we were coming into Dauphin, county called us on the radio and asked us if we could handle a call on 22/322 just above the Clarks Ferry Bridge for abdominal pains. We said we would take it and turned around and headed back up that way. We got there and got her loaded up and took her to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we neede there, we swang by KFC and me and Bill picked up dinner and then we headed on back home. After I got my car from Dohn's house, I headed back into the shed. Once there, I logged my times in and talked to Bill for a little bit and then I headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Birthday Dinner

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 06:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read part of the paper. We then got in my mothers car and headed on down to our doctor's appointments. We swung by thee Giant in Union Deposit Mall and picked up 5 cases of soda for my father. After that we went to the doctor's office. After our appointment's we went to Target and got a few things and then did some more shopping. We then headed over to my grandparents house and visited with them. We then left the house around 15:30 hours and headed on over to Damon's for my birthday dinner. We got there and my father was already there and got a table. My aunt then showed up followed by my brother. I got a 10 ounce New York Strip Steak with fries and enjoyed every bit of it. We then went over to a ice cream shop and got some ice cream for desert. My father mentioned something to the waitress about it being my birthday and when we were done eating, they presented me with a small cake in a box so I could take it home, since she knew we were all full. After that me and my mother headed on home. Once at home we found out that Install America had delivered the siding while we were gone today. My father called them earlier in the afternoon from work an talked to them about the storm doors and they said that the siding guys were coming up tomorrow. After we got the car unloaded, I took a shower and then got on the computer to do some things and start working on 2001. I then got off at 20:00 hours to watch an hour of TV. Chicken BBQ

Went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and was up at 06:00 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into my street clothes and then I got the paper, read the paper and ate breakfast. I then left the house at 07:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and put the new stuff that I bought in my gear. I then went over to the old fire house and opened it up. I then started putting charcoal in the trailer while Lonnie was cleaning the chickens. Bubba then came over and pulled the apparatus out and then me and him hooked the trailer up to the Utility and he took it over and praked it. Dave and Holly then showed up and me, Bubba and Dave got the trailer going. We then got the chickens on and started cooking them. The trailer was a little hot in the beginning but then it settled down. We did not sell out this time, we had quite a few left over that we had to divide up amongust ourselves. Bubba also checked almost everyone's equipment today. I got a key to the firehouse today. After I was done up there, I headed on home and ate one of my chicken halfs. I then took a shower and then got on the PS2 and played some sprint cars with my father. I then got off and head another chicken half and watched some TV. Expo

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning around 07:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into my street clothes. I then had breakfast and then got stuff together for our trip to expo. We got down there around 08:45 hours, parked and went over and got in line. We were pretty close to the front of the line this time, comparred to other years. Once inside it took us about 4 hours to go through the whole show. I got quite a few things that I will list in the order that I got them. My first purchase was two books on apparatus, they are Mack Fire Trucks, and Firefighting Tanker Trucks and Tenders, which includes a whole section on Tractor Trailer Tankers. The next thing I got was a ribbon magnet for on my car, that says, Proud EMT-Firefighter. My next purchase was a pair of extrication gloves for in my bunker gear, followed by a 20 foot piece of webbing for in my bunker gear. Next I got a calender of the Firehouse Doll's which I got 5 of them to sign. I then got a new pager case. I also picked up one of my yearly specials, a pack of Choice fire cards. And then the final thing was a Res-Q-Wrench for in my bunker pants. Overall the expo was good and I enjoyed it and got some good stuff, spending just a little over $200.00. After we were done we headed on home. Once at home we showed my mother what we all got and then I took a shower. I then ate dinner and played on the PS2 for a little bit. I then got off to watch the All-Star Race tonight. It rained off and on at the track, so the race went past midnight. Jimmie Johnson won the race and 1 Million dollars. I will be online shortly and then I am hitting the sack as I have chicken BBQ to get up for a little later this morning.

Baseball Game

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got upt this morning around 10:20 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch and read the paper. I then sat down and watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over I went over to the house on the corner to look at the stuff they had out for their garage sale. The lady remembered me buying a lot of beanie babies last year and I was looking at some of the real small ones. When I found three, she told me just to take them since she knows I have a collection of them. After that I went back home and got on the PS2 for a few hours. I then left the house around 15:20 hours and headed on down to City Island for the baseball game tonight. I got down there and had to park by the parking garage and pay two dollars. I then met my father and we waited to get in. Susie said she was feeling sick and could not go and the rest of the family was not going either. So before I headed on down, I swung by her house and picked up the tickets to take down and see if I could use them. The meal was good and the game was good. We left around 20:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then continued on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The New Doors Are In

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 08:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and moved my radio, pagers, cell phone, clipboard and boots out to the living room for the day. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. Then around 10:20 hours the guys from Install America showed up. Then around 10:30 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Millersburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Bill and Dohn were already there. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded up in the ambulance and took her down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I talked with my mom and watched the guys put the doors in. I then got on the PS2 and played until 17:30 hours. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. Around 15:00 hours I snuck in my room without letting the cats out and changed into my street clothes and grabbed everything I needed for tonight and then snuck back out. I left here around 17:45 hours and headed on down to County for EMA training tonight. I got my new pager from county tonight. Training was good and we left there around 21:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. No calls for today so far

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:30 hours when the pager went off for abdominal pains in Upper Paxton Township. I was not on this morning, so I layed and bed and listened to Bill and Dohn got in 13-2. After that went responding, I reset the pager and went back to bed. I was again rocked out of bed around 09:25 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I was still off and Bill and Dohn took the call. After that went responding, I reset the pager and then layed in bed for a few minutes and then got up. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over, me and my mother took some things up to Goodwill and then went to the dollar store in Eville. After that we headed on home. On the way home. I swung by the township building to talk to Charlie about the NIMS-700 class for the supervisors. I talked to him for about 15 minuites and then we headed on home. My father had a half a day of work today and was home by 12:30 hours. He was on the PS2 playing the new game that he had bought last night. I ate lunch and watched him play the game. Then around 14:06 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. Bill and Dohn took the call. I got changed into my uniform awhile and then I played against my father. I then ate dinner while I played on the PS2 for a little bit. I then helped my mother with a few things and then got on the computer to do some things and continue to work on 2000. No Doors Today

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and then ate lunch. I then sat down and watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that I went up to the township building and voted and then headed into the "Barn" to do the minutes from last nights meetings. I also found out that Install America was not coming up today to install the doors. I got into the shed and Carol was there an Dohn had 13-2 up at Patton's so they could look at the right rear tires. I did the minutes and then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do some things and to start working on 2000. Holy Hell, Look at that Clevage!!!!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:40 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then I ate lunch and read the paper. Me and my mother then left here around 12:30 hours and headed on down to Poly to the speech and hearing place to have them take a look at my hearing aid. I got down there and we went in and we found out that my internal hearing thing, was worn down and needs to be replaced. So my hearing aid is in the shop for 5 to 7 days. After that we headed on home. We stopped at Dr. Little's office so my mom could talk to them about something. I then stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then we stopped at Giant and picked up some things. After that we headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played until 18:30 hours and I got off and got ready for the meeting tonight. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. The meeting wetn very well tonight. Better then I thought it would. After the meeting was over, I talked to Sue for a little bit and then me and my father headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a snack. Happy Mother's Day

Went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then I ate breakfast and read the paper. I left the house around 12:45 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once up there I talked to Bubba and he explained to me how things work and what to do for the bingo. Bingo went very very well and we were done by 17:00 hours. I left there around 17:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I brought in 4 cases of water from the back of my mother's car and then I took a shower. I then ate dinner while I got on the PS2 and played for a little bit. Training is postponed

Went to bed last night around 00:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I headed up to the fire house around 07:10 hours. I got up there and no one was there. I called Bubba around 07:30 hours and asked him if training was still on for today, and he told me that it had been postponed due to the owner of the house had an emergency pop up and was not able to be home this weekend. I then called Bill and my father and told them that training was a no go for today. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the PS2 and played until 13:00 hours. I ate lunch around 12:20 hours. Around 13:00 hours, Bubba called me and asked me if I was doing anything today and I siad no. He told me that he had just got a call from a guy who wanted a pond filled up. So I headed back up to the fire house. Once there, I put my gear on the tanker and me and Bubba headed on out to Straw's Church Road to fill this pond up. We emptied on load, and then headed into the pump house at Deppen Park and filled the tanker back up and headed back out to the house. We emptied almost all of the second load into the pond. After we were done there, we topped off a swiming pool and then headed back into the pump house again to fill the tanker up again. After that we ran up to Shell and got disiel and then headed back to the fire house. Once back at the fire house, I unloaded my gear and then me and Bubba talked for a little bit. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and sat down to watch the race at Darlington. Grag Biffle won the race, and Jeff came in second. Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for an overdose in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn already had 13-2 pulled 0ut. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We almost got to the scene when county told us that PSP was placing us in service as they had arrested the person. So we turned around and headed back to the shed. Once there, I got my car and headed up to Rite Aid. Once there I dropped off 3 perscriptions to be filled. I then went over to Giant and got a few things and then went back over to Rite Aid and picked the medications up. After that I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that I ate lunch and got on the computer to do somethings and contine to work on 1999. I got off around 17:06 hours and I ate dinner and changed into street clothes. I left here around 18:21 hours and headed on down to lower county. I stopped at the shed to log my time in for the day and I talked to Bill for a few minutes. I then continued on down to Penbrook. I got down there and hung out with some of the guys and talked. The meeting went good, talked about what is all going to happen during the convention. We then had dinner afterwards. I got talking with a few of the guys and gals from Penbrook and had a wonderful time telling stories. Me and my father left there around 21:40 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Giant on the way home and got 4 cases of soda for myself and then headed on home. I just finished eating a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. A Rainy Day

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and I changed into street clothes and then I took the sheets off of my bed. I then ate lunch while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over, I read the paper and then I took a shower. After that I got on the PS2 and played until 19:30 hours tonight. Due to it being windy today, me and Bubba were not able to burn that brush pile. I ate dinner while I watched some TV and then got back on the PS2. I then got off and helped my mother put sheets on my bed and then got on the computer. I just finished a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Busy Day

Went to bed last night arouns 01:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:30 hours when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. 20 got out right away and we were cancelled. So I reset the pager and went back to bed. I was rocked out of bed again around 07:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed for the church in the square. I got there and went over and stood in front of Bubba's house and waited for Dohn to pick me up. He picked me up and we went to the scene and got the lady load up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Jim off at his squad at the scene and then Dohn dropped me off at my car. I then headed into the "Barn" and I logged my time in and did my paperwork from the call. When I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I sat down to read the paper and watch my TV show at 11:00 hours. At 11:03 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got back in my car and headed into the shed. I pulled up and parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got on the scene and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got disiel and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I got on the computer to do some things. I started working on 1999. I got off around 17:00 hours to watch TV and eat dinner. I got back on after the news and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. New Handles in 13-2

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and was awoken around 02:00 hours when the pager went off for back pain in Halifax Borough. Deb and Scott took the call and I reset my pager and went back to bed. I got up around 10:30 hours and I got dressed and then read the paper while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over I got on the computer to do some things and finish up 1998. Around 13:23 hours, Lewis from Keystone called and asked me if I could meet him in at the station in 1 hour and I said that I could. I then told Bill so he could come in also. So I then got in my car and went up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and got a gallon of iced tea and then headed back to the "Barn". I got there and found out that Dohn had taken 13-2 on home with him. So after Bill could not reach Dohn by phone, he went out to the house to ask Dohn to bring 13-2 back in to the shed so Lewis could work on it. Lewis showed up and I had him put 2 new dome lights in 13-1. Once Dohn showed up, Lewis put the handles in the back of 13-2. While he was doing that, me and Bill worked on doing the envlopes for the business subscriptions. After I was done with that I headed on home. Once at home I talked with my mother some and then watched some TV while I ate dinner. At 18:12 hours the pager went off for and unconscious person in Halifax Township. I got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and pulled in behin Deb and we both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got on the scene and got the lady loaded up and then we took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. Once back at the shed, I logged my times in and then did my paperwork from the call. After I was done I headed on home. Still working on the Utility

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Perry County, Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once there, I got in 13-1 and off we went. We got as far as the station when county advised that Perry was placing us available. So we turned around and headed back to his house. Once I got my car I headed on home and once at home I went back to bed. I got up at 10:00 hours and I got dressed again and I ate breakfast while I read the paper. I then watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over, my mother ran into Shell to wash her car and I got on the computer to do some things and to work on 1998. I ate lunch while I was on the computer. I got off the computer around 17:00 hours to watch some TV and eat dinner. I headed up to the firehouse around 18:30 hours to work on the Utility some more. I worked on some more in the back. Bill then stopped by to say hi and talk to me some. I left the firehouse around 19:10 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email anf surf the net. I will be on for a little bit longer then hitting the sack as I am tired.

Farm Rescue Class Day 2

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and I was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:10 hours when the pager went off for a fall person in Jackson Township. My father got up so he could run 13-1 in to Dohn and then he was going to take Dohn's truck into the shed and pick up 13-2. Well my father called the house at 06:28 hours and told my mother that someone was going to have to come out and pick him up and take him in to the "Barn". So I got out of bed and got my streets clothes on and then got in my car and ran out to Dohn's to pick him up. I then ran him into the shed where we then grabbed two igloo's and filled them with ice water and put them in 13-2. We then headed on home. As we were on Enders Road, my father pulled off into a driveway all of a sudden and I pulled in behind him thinking that something was wrong. He got out and came around to the back and opened the back door up and water came rushing out. Here one of the igloo's had tipped over and the lid came off, spilling water everywhere. I helped him clean it up and then we headed out to the house. I then helped him dry the back of the unit out with a towel and then went inside and read the comics. My father then left and headed back into the shed to fill the one igloo up again. A few minutes later I left and headed up t the firehouse. I got up there and a few people where already there. I went inside and helepd get the doughnuts and orange juice ready. I then had a few doughnuts and 2 cups of orange juice. Once everyone was there, we talked for a little bit and then broke down into 3 groups. My group went outside first to a scaled down version of a tractor and tools and we did some pratice. After the we moved inside where they showed us the dummy that was going to be trapped under the tractor up on the farm. Then we went to the last station where we learned how to set up a picket system. After that we went back inside the hall and grabbed something to eat will quick and then we all piled in our respective pieces of apparatus and headed up to the Faust Farm for hands on and full scale training. I took the Utility up. Once up there I got my gear on and we went to work. The first station we did was to learn how to remove an uncsonscious farmer from the seat of a tractor, if they were to have a medical emergency in the field. The next one we went to, delt with how to extricate a person from underneath a skid loader. After that we moved to the tractor roll over. After we were done with those three stations, we all gather around the hay cutter and they demonstrated what happens to a human when they get caught in one of them and go through it. After that we did one final station, where everyone was involved and there was two people trapped. Overal lwe spent about 4 to 4-1/2 hours up on the farm doing hands on work. After that we dressed down and cleaned up and then headed back to the fire house. Once back at the firehouse, we had lunch/dinner and then took a quick test. After that class was over and most everyone left. Me and Lonnie then took the tanker out to fill a pool up and then ran into Halifax to get disiel and refill the tanker. We then headed back to the firehouse and we put the tanker away. I then headed into Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and iced tea. I then headed no home. Once at home I helped my father clean some stuff up on the ambulance that was used. He then took it into the station and I took a shower. I then got on the PS2 for a little bit and ate dinner while I was on the PS2. I am not getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Farm Rescue Class Day 1

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got dressed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I the left the house at 07:28 hours and headed up to the firehouse for class today. I got up there and parked my car and then stood around and talked with some of the guys. Class started around 08:10 hours once everyone got there. We had coffee, orange juice and doughnuts for everyone in the class for breakfast. Class went vert good and it was fun. Around 11:00 hours we headed up to the Faust farm for a tour of the farm. I drove the Utility up and 4 of the guys went up on the engine. After we were done up there, we headed back down to the fire hall for lunch. After lunch we continued on with the classroom training. Class finished up around 15:00 hours and then I talked with some of the guys and then went down to Bubba's house to pick up a picture that Bubba wanted me to try and scan. I then headed on home. Once at home I worked on the photo and then took a shower. I then ate dinner while I was on the PS2. I agreed to run for a little bit tonight but told my dad that I was going off at 23:00 hours when Dohn came back on. The race was tonight at Richmond and I got to see most of the race. Around 21:40 hours the pager went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township. We got in 13-1 and got over halfway up there and we were placed in service as it was a refusal. So we turned around and headed back home. Once back at home I watched the end of the race. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on for a little bit tonight and then hitting the sack as I have to get up early again tomorrow.

An Accident and a Vehicle Fire

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed when the pager went off at 08:30 hours for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township, in front of Giant. I got out of bed nad got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I pulled in behind Dohn and we both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and checked the lady out and she did not want to go down to the hospital. So once she signed off, we headed up to Sheetz to grab something for breakfast. After that we headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. After I was deon there, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over, I got on the computer to do some things and work on 1996. I was able to finishe 1996 and start on 1998. Around 14:20 hours the pager went off for bleeding in Elizabethville. I got in my car and headed for the church in Fisherville to be picked up. We were cancelled before I could be picked up as Medic 6 was able to get a crew together to take it. While I was standing around, Bubba called me over and asked me to move the stairs from in front of the fire hall to the side of the fire hall tonight. I told him that I would do that for him. I then headed back home and once at home got back on the computer. Around 15:50 hours the pager went off for an accident with a vehicle on fire in Jackson Township. I got in my car and decided to go to ther scene. I followed Warren out to the scene. It ended up that there was no accidemt, and that it was just a vehicle fire. A quick knock was done controling the fire before it spread to the gas tank. There were no injuries, and Dohn and Bill were nto on the scene very long. After everybody left I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I watched some TV. After 18:00 hours I got changed and headed up to the fire house to work on the Utility. I was up there for about 3 hours and was able to get a good start on the back of the Utility. After I was done up there, I headed on home. Once at home I had a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net for a small amount of time. I wille be on for a little bit longer and then I am hitting the sack.

2 Days for the Price of 1.

Since I got on real late last night, I forgot to type my blog up for yesterday, so I will do yesterday and today. I went to bed Tuesday night at 02:00 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and sat down to read the paper. At 10:55 hours the pager went off for a call at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I pulled in behind Bill and we parked our cars and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Jim was already on the scene. We got the guy loaded and headed on down to Hershey Medical Center. While we were heading down there, Jim stuck himself with a used IV needle. So after we moved the guy over to the hospital bed, Jim had to get blood drawn to have it tested. So we ended up sitting at Hershey for 2 hours waiting for Jim to get done. When he was done, we stopped at KFC to pick up some lunch/dinner and we headed on home. We dropped Jim off at his squad at SLV and then we headed back to Dohn's house. After I got my car I went back to the "Barn" and logged my time in. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I finished reading the paper and then watched a little TV. Then at 18:00 hours me and my father headed into the shed, so we could out the wheels on the bottom of the training cabinet. We got there and got the new wood on the bottom of the cabinet and then around 19:30 hours the pager went off for a CVA at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. We got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded and placed Medic 6 in service. We then headed back down to Hershey Medical Center. Once we got everything we needed, we headed on home. While heading on home, we got hit for breathing problems at Boyer Apartments in Halifax Borough. We advised county that we were responding from south of the mountain and to continue to hit for our second unit. Dohn of course took his time and 13-2 got out when we were 2 minutes away from the scene. We let Sue and Dohn take it since we needed to get disiel in 13-1. After we got disiel, we headed back to the shed. I logged our times in and did my paperwork, while my father finished putting the wheels on the cabinet. We then moved it back into the meeting room and headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and watched some tv and went to bed at 02:00 hours. I got up this morning at 10:30 hours, got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch while I watched my TV sho at 11:00 hours. After that was over, I read the paper and then got on the computer to do some things. Around 16:10 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the shed. I pulled in behind Bill and Dohn and we all got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and Medic 6 got on and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. As we were coming up the mountain, we got hit for a fall person in Millersburg. Sue and Scott took that and we dropped the medic off at his squad and then headed back to the shed. After I logged my time in I ran up to Sheetz and grabbed something to eat for dinner and then headed on home. Once at home I changed clothes and then headed up to the firehouse to start working on the Utility for convention. I spent about 3 hours up there working on the 4 outside compartments and taking a look at the back of the Utility. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower at had a light snack. Working on 1995

Went to bed this morning around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and the read the paper. I then ate lunch while I watched my TV show at 11:00 hours. After that was over I helped my mother hang curtins up outside to dry. I then got on the computer to do something and work on 1995 fire calls for Company 29. I am almost about done with 1995 and then will be moving on to 1996. Around 16:10 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and pulled in behind Bill. We got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hosptial. This was the same lady that my father, Sue and Bill had Friday night. I ran into Steve while we were down there and we talked for a little bit and I was able to talk him into giving us a pillow. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. Once I got my car at Dohn's house, I headed into the "Barn" to log in my times. I talked to Bill for a few minutes and then I headed up to Sheetz to get gas. After that I headed on home. When I got home my father was mowing the lawn. I then ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. New Windows

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning around 07:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then took my drapes down and then ate breakfast while I read the paper. Install American showed up around 08:30 hours and got set up and started taking the windows out. I left the house around 09:20 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once up there I waited on Bubba to show up. Once he showed up, I put my gear in the tanker and he pulled it out. I then put his gear in the tanker along with a fog nozzle off the back of the engine. We then headed out to Powell's Valley Road to fill the pool. It took us only one load to fill the pool and took us about close to 1 hour. It was a lot easier then the one we did yesterday, as I was able to sit on the hose today, plus we put the nozzle on the end of the hose for me to use this time. We then stopped at Shell and out disiel in the tanker. We then ran out to Deppen Park, to the pump house to fill the tanker up. We then headed back to the station. We stopped by Bubba's house to check and see if his one dog had come back yet, it had not and we went looking for it and chasing after it once we saw it, but then we lost sight of it. We then headed down to Bruce's farm to wet down a brush pile that he had finished burning. We played around with the foam system while we were up there. After we were done there, we stopped back at Bubba's house again and this time we were able to get his dog back in the cage. We then headed into Riverview Nails and Tanning, to add some water to the pool they have there. After we were done there, I had Bubba swing by Giant where I picked up a gallon of milk and iced tea. We then stopped back at the pump house again and topped the tank off and then headed back to the fire house. Once there we put the tanker away and I took my gear off of the truck and put the fog nozzle back on the engine. I then headed on home and sat down to watch the end of the race. Install America was still there when I got home and they finished up shortly after I got home. Jimmie Johnson won the race. I then helped my dad change some filters on the lawn mower and then I came inside and ate dinner. I then left and headed back up to the fire house for the meeting. After the meeting was over, most of us went down to the fire house to talk. I left there around 21:53 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a very light snack. I will be on for a little bit more and then am hitting the sack for the night.

A day with the Fire Company

Went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed, got the paper and then ate breakfast while I read the paper. I left the house agter 07:30 hours and headed up to the hose house. I got up there and David and Holly had just got there. I grabbed my glovs out of my bunker pants and went over into the old fire house and help Dave put charcoal in the trailer. After that I helped him carry the kettle outside for it to be cleaned. Dave then pulled the tanker out and I pulled the Utility out and we hooked up the trailer to the back of it. We then washed the kettle out and then went up and got the chickens. Bill then showed up to take some pictures and then when Bubba showed up, we started moving apparatus around so Bill could get some pics for the website. Things went ver good with the Chicken BBQ and soup sale. The soup did not do as good as some of us thought it would, but we did sell out of chicken halves. After everything was cleaned up, I stayed to help put hose back on the tanker. After that, Bubba said that he had a pool to go fill. I asked him if I could go along and he said sure. So I quickly ran our 2 chicken halves up to the house, told my mother what I was doing, and then headed back up to the firehouse. Once back there, I put my gear on the tanker and then me and Bubba took off for Elizabethville. The house was just outside of Eville. It took one load to fill the pool up. It was a little difficult, with it being an above ground pool and the pool being up a hill, so I had to hold the hose over my shoulder. My right shoulder still hurts a little bit, but not as bad. After we were done there, we headed back by going through Millersburg. We stopped at Tower Sales and we both got something to drink, and then we headed to the pump house by Deppen Park to refill the tanker. Bubba showed me what to do at the pump house while we filled the tanker. After we were done there, we headed back to the station. Bubba then called a lady on Powell's Valley Road, who wants her pool filled tomorrow. So we took the Utility out to her house. Bubba let me drive and told me that since we would only be gone a few minutes, we did not need our gear. As we were coming down Enders Road, county toned out Box 29-1 for a fire in a fryer at McDonald's. I flicked the red lights on and turned the siren on and we headed back to the station to grab the tanker. We slid into the parking lot and I shut the Utility off and we both went running into the station and got our gear on. Then we both got in the tanker and we took off, with me working the Federal Q and the air horns. We got as far as Kiner's when they held the box to Company 29. So we turned around and headed back to the station. Once back at the station, I put my gear away and then left to head on home and get cleaned up before I went on duty tonight. Once at home, I took a shower and then I helped my dad take the air conditioner out of the window and move it down to the shed. I then ate dinner and got on the computer to do some things. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the web. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
