Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 05:14 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked and then pulled 13-2 out awhile and then waited for Dohn to show up. Once Dohn showed up, I put us responding and off we went. We got there and got the lady loade up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got diesil and then headed back to the shed. We dropped the medic off at the shed and the I went inside and logged my time and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on up to Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then watched some tv and ate lunch. I then got on the PS2 to play some college football. My parents then came home around 14:30 hours and I helped bring stuff in from the car. Then my father and me played a game of college football. I then ate dinner while I played and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Chainsaw

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch, read the paper and watched some Tv. My father asked my mother to run down to Reed Township and check on the river since I was on duty. After I went off duty at 12:00 hours, I changed into street clothes and then ran up to the fire house. Once up there I saw that they brought back trophies from Williamstown. I then straightened out the back of the Utility. I then grabbed my helmet and extrication gloves and put them in my passenger seat and then I grabbed the can of mixed gas out of the Utility and put it in my trunk. I then climbed in the back of the Utility and grabbed the chainsaw and put that in my trunk. I then headed on home. Once at home, I took the chainsaw and can of gas out of my trunk and sat them on the front porch. I then went inside and took my glasses and hearing aid out and then went out back to drag the branches up under the tree by the driveway so I could cut them in the shade. I then put my helmet and goggles on, followed by my gloves and then got to work cutting the branches up. After I was done there, I put the chainsaw, my helmet and gloves over on the porch and then drug all the branches up to the curb for trash tomorrow. I then came inside and sat down on the couch and drank about two bottles of water. I then went out back and cut down the rest of the holly bush and took that up to the curb. I then grabbed another bottle of water and then put the gas and chainsaw back in my trunk and headed back up to the fire house. Once up therem I put everything back and then I ran up to Gunder's and grabbed a bottle of Gatorade and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. I then ate dinner and finished my game. I just finished eating a snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Flooding

Around 00:30 hours last night the fire pager went off for the fire police to go to Armstrong Valley Road on Berry Mountain for traffic control. I got dressed and decided to head up there to see what was going on. Boy was it ever pouring outside. I got up there and found out that the roadway was being pushed up by water running underneath it. There was a man from county on the scene and I got out of my car and went over and talked to him. Helen then showed up and I talked to her and she told me that she did not have any flares with her. So I told her that I would run down to the station and grab some flares and bring them up to her. So I ran down to the station and grabbed about 10 flares from a box in the closet and threw them in my car. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet from my stall and threw them in my car and headed back up to the mountain. I got up there and Kevin was there. I parked my car and turned the blue light on and got out to talk to Helen and Kevin. Kevin suggested calling Bubba to see if we could bring the Utility up for extra lighting. So I called Bubba and could not get ahold of him. So I then called Robbie and he said that it was ok and to just pull the engine out. So I headed back down to the fire station. I got there and I threw my helmet and jacket in the Utility and then I pulled the engine out. I then got in the Utility and headed on back up to the mountain. I got up there and parked the Utility. Me and Kevin then went to work on getting the generator hooked up to the flood lights and working. As we were doing that, PennDot pulled up and started setting cones up and said that we could leave when he was done. So we then headed back to the station. I got back and put the Utility away and then Kevin backed the engine into the station and then we filled out a report and layed it on the desk. Me and Kevin then talked for a little bit and then we headed on home. Once at home, I dried off and then went to bed around 03:30 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:20 hours when the pager went off for a vehicle fire in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". Before I got there they placed the box in service. I stopped at the shed and logged my time in for the other day and then I picked up my mother's cake pan. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then went to check on the creeks. Wolf Hole Road was starting to flood and Enders Road by Cave's was flooded over. Creek Road was still flooded over. I stopped up at the township building to let Charlie know about Wolf Hole Road. The fire pager then went off for an emergency work detail at the station. So I swang by and talked to Bubba and Bruce about the roads. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. My dad then pulled up as he had left work early since there was flooding going on in Reed Township. Then around 13:30 hours the pager went off for a traumatic injury in Lykens Borough. Dohn picked me up at the church in Fisherville and we got as far as Eville when Medic 6 said that they would handle the call. So we then headed back and once I got my car, I checked the creeks one more time and then headed home. I thenm ate dinner and watched the news and just finished eating a snack. I am now getting ready to head in and get a hair cut and then coming home to watch some tv.

Let the floods begin

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 08:07 hours when the pager went off for a CVA in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and pulled in behind Dohn and we got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there. It ended up being released to BLS and we loaded the lady up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then talked to Viv for a little bit and headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do some things. I went off duty at 16:00 hours and Bill came on to cover for me due to County EMA Training tonight. I ended up not going. Once I was off duty at 16:00. I went out to check on the local creeks. Down on Creek Drive, it was starting to come over onto the road and also a little bit on Miller's Church Road. This was to be the start to a evening and early night of checking creeks. I stopped at Charlie's house to let him know that we needed to shut down Creek Drive due to the creek coming across the road. Creek Road, Enders Road, Union Church Road, Dempsey Road and sure to be many more tomorrow all had some sort of water flowing across them at some point. Me and my father got home around 21:30 hours after being out checking the creeks and the river. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Sue, Kim and hopefully Amanda just went on an accident with injuries in South River Road in Reed Township. More Rain

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed nad got changed into street clothes and then I ate lunch, read the paper and watched a little tv. I then called Troutman's to see if my part had come in yet and they said possiably this afternoon. So me and my mother then decided to go up to the Weis store in Millersburg. So she got changed and we got in my car and went up to the Weis store and got a few things and then headed on back. We decided to stop at Troutman's to check and see if my part was in yet and it was. They were able to squeeze me in today. After we were done there, we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and got gas and then we headed back to the house. Once back at the house, I took the stuff in and then went out to check on the creeks to see who they were doing. They are high right now, and will continue to rise if we get more rain. I then headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played NCAA 2005 football and ate dinner. After I was done with my game, I got off and took a shower and just finished eating a snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Here comes the rain

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 03:45 hours when the pager went off for a laceration in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got out of bed and got dressed and then me and my father got in 13-2 and off we went. We got as far as the end of our road and 20 got out and we were placed in service. So we turned around and went back to the house. Once back at the house I went back to bed. I got up around 10:00 hours and got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and watched a little tv and read the paper. Around 10:20 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. Deb and Kim handeled that call. Around 12:30 hours I took a shower and then made and ate lunch while I played on the PS2 for a little bit before the race. Around 14:00 hours the pager went off for a structure fire in Millersburg Borough. Deb and Kim took the call again. I sat down to watch the race which was out in California at Sears Point. It was a good race with Jeff Gordon winning. I ate dinner while the race was on. After it was over I got on the computer to do some things. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

CONGRATS AMANDA!!!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then sat down to watch the Paintball Championship on ESPN for 3 hours. I want to take this time to say congrats to Amanda for gradurating from college. You put in a hard years work and it will pay off for you in the end. Also glad to hear that you are back home now and will be running with us. It has been a quiet day with no calls. The Calls Come Again

Went to bed last night around 02:10 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:13 hours when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn pulled in behind me. We both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got down there and the fire company was already there. The lady refused treatment and we went available and went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After that I headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then went out to get the mail and I noticed that a big branch snapped off of the one tree out back and two large branches snapped off of the tree beside the drive way from the storm last night. Well the one out back and one of the ones at the side we still connected to the tree. So I went back inside and told my mother that I was going to have to cut them down. I then swept the floor while she took a shower. After she was done we then went out and I cut the two branches off. After that I went inside and ate lunch and watched some TV. I then got on the computer to do some things. Then around 16:10 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once there I got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then headed back to the shed. I dropped my paperwork off and logged my time in. Dohn then took me out to his house so I could pick up my car. I then ran into Giant and picked up a few things and then went to McDonald's and got dinner and then went back to the shed to do my paperwork. After I was done there I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours ans got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I went off duty at 12:00 hours and I then changed into street clothes. I called up to Troutman's to see if my part had come in yet, and it had not. So I then got on the PS2 to play some NASCAR Racing. I got off the PS2 to eat dinner and watch a little tv. Then around 18:20 hours, Bubba called me and asked me if I wanted to go along with him to help fill some swimming pools. I told him I would be up in a few minutes. I got in my car and headed up to the fire house. Once up there I grabbed my gear and put it on the tanker and then got in and off we went. We first filled a pool in Berrysburg, that used about half a load of water. So we ran the other half over to Bubba's sister in Eville. We then ran back to the pump house in Halifax to fill the tanker up. While we were in there, it started to thunder and lighting. After we filled up, we headed over to Dividing Ridge Road to top off a pool. As we were rolling the hose up it started to rain. By the time we got back to the pump house, it was pouring out. Both of us got soaked filling the tank up. After we were done there, we headed back up to Bubba's sister's house to finish filling her pool up. Bubba then talked to his sister and mother for awhile and then we left and headed back to the pump house. By now it was raining off and on and by the time we left tyhe pump house it was a steady rain again. We then ran up to Shell to get disiel and then we headed back to the station. Once back at the station, I took my gear off and then helped Bubba put together the pressure washer he got today for the fire company. After that we both left and headed for home. Once at home I took the trash out and then took a shower. I just finished eating a shower and am going to hit the sack soon.

Back to work again

Parade and Pool

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got in my car and headed on up to Troutman's to have them look at my car. I was done by 09:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I dropped somethings off and picked up a few things and then ran into town. I stopped at Station 29 first to see if it was unlocked and it was not. I then swung by Sue's house and dropped off Amanda's card. I then stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and then headed to the "Barn" to do the minutes from last nights meetings. Carol was there and we talked for a little bit while I worked on the minutes. Dohn then got back with the oxygen tanks and I helped him unload a few tanks. I then went back to working on the minutes. A couple of minutes later, Medic 6 got hit for chest pains in Wayne Township, and Company 29 was hit for medical assist. I knew the address and decided to head out that way and help out. I got out there and Charlie was there along with Tim. Chuck then showed up before Medic 6 did. We then helped load the guy up and they took him down to the hospital. I then headed back to 29's station to drop off the box and then headed back to the shed to finish the minutes. After I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch while I got on the PS2. I then headed up to the fire house around 16:00 hours to help wash the trucks. I got up there and found out that we had two extra people going in the engine now. Two of the girls that were going on the engine, washed it while I helped when I could. We left for Lykens around 17:30 hours. We got up there and got lined up and then other people started showing up and we started standing in little grounps, shooting the shit with each other. We then went through the parade and then went through the carnival gounds and I got something to eat. I then moved my gear from the engine to the tanker as me and Bubba were going to top off a pool on the way back. We topped the pool off and then we went into the pump house to fill the tank up and then went to Shell to get disiel. After that we went back to the station. I left there and headed back in to the "Barn" to put the units away and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a very light snack. I will be going to bed soon as I am tired.

New Collar for mom

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours andd got up this morning around 08:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and grabbed something to eat. We then got Toby in his cage and we ran up to the vets for him to get his regualr shot. After he was done up there, we headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then we got back in my car and headed on down to Harrisburg. We stopped at the recycling bins and dropped off some stuff and then went up to Shell. Once there, I ran my car through the automatic car wash. After that we continued on our way. As I was going around the mountain, my brake light came on. So I pulled over and stopped and looked at my book. I then decided to head to Hornung's in Dauphin and get some breake fluid to put in my car. I stopped and got the brake fluid and put very little in, so I had a sinking feeling that was not the problem. I was right, as the light was still on. So we continued on to Giant at Union Deposit. While my mother ran into Giant, I called Troutman's to see if I could get my car in tomorrow, and I was able to. So I was feeling a little bit better that the car will be going in tomorrow to be looked at, and I am also getting routine service done to it. We then went down to Readings and Greetings who is going out of business, so most of their stuff was 75% off. After we were done there, we went over to my grandparents house to visit. We left there around 13:25 hours and headed over to my mother's doctor appointment. She was put in a soft collar now and everything looks good. After we were done there, we headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then we stopped at Giant to pick up some more things. After we were done there, we headed on home. Once at home we unloaded the car and then I got on the computer and did a few things and then ate dinner. My father and me then left and headed into the "Barn" for the meeting tonight. There was not a lot of people there, but enough to hold a meeting. After the meeting was over, we talked to Bill and Dohn. While we were there the pager went off for a cardiac arrest in Jackson Township. My and my father got in his truck and we headed for the fire house. Before we got there, Chief 216-2, Dave placed the engine in service right after it went responding. We stayed and talked some and then we headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. It's a hot, hot day

Went to bed last night around 04:00 hours after I stayed up listening to multiple structure fires that were going on in Williamstown. I got upt this morning around 09:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then took a shower and got changed into street clothes. I then got on the computer to do some things before the race started. I got off around 12:45 hours and went out and made lunch and then sat down to watch the race. The race was out in Michigan and it was shortened by rain. Kasey Kane won again. After the race was over I ate dinner and got back on the computer. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The calls just keep on coming

Around 01:50 hours last night the pager went off for an assult victim in Jackson Township. Me and my father got dressed and then we got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and then we stopped at the Mountain House because PSP was there. After PSP talked to the Pt., we continued on down tp Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got disiel and then we went back to the "Barn". Once there, I logged our times in and then did my paperwork from the call. After I was done, we headed on home. I fianlly got to bed around 05:00 hours and got up this morning around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch and read the paper. I then watched a movie on TV. After that was over I got on the PS2 to play for a little bit. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I the got changed into uniform at 18:006 hours and got back on the PS2. Around 18:20 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. While we were enroute to the scene, county advised us that they were upgrading the call to a class 1 after they got a second call from the scene. We got there and got the lady loaded up and then met Medic 6 and then continued on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic of at his squad and then went back out to Dohn's house. Once I got my car, I headed back into the shed to do my paperwork from the call. After I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I ate a snack and got back on the PS2 to play for a little bit. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Another busy day

I just started to read the paper when at 11:59 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. It was one of our frequent flyers again. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked and me and Dohn got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. After that I ran up to Giant and picked up some things and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I ate dinner and watched a little tv. I then got on the PS2 and played for about an hour. I then got off and had a snack and then got on the computer to do some things. Around 20:44 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then me and my father got in 13-1 and took off. It was another one of our frequent flyers, actually the one that Bill and Dohn had yesterday afternoon. We got there and got her loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the station, I logged our times in and then did my paperwork from the call. We then headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Another day, another call

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed in to the "Barn". I got in there and pulled in behind Dohn and parked. We both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and Medic 6 got on and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my times in and pulled my tims up for the call. Bill stopped in and we talked for a little bit and then I ran up to Rite Aid to drop off two perscriptions of mine to be filled and I went back to the shed. I got back and went inside and sat down and the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. We recongnized the address, and I was already off, but I told Bill that I would head to the scene awhile to help them with getting her out of the house. I got there and then Bill and Dohn showed up, followed by Medic 6. I placed Medic 6 in service and then I helped them move her out to the ambulance. After they headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital, I went back to the shed and did my tripsheet. I then ran up to Rite Aid and picked up my medications and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then I swept the floor. I then read the paper and then got on the PS2 for a little bit. Bubba then called me and asked me if I was working and I told him no. He asked me if I would like to help him fill a pool and I said that I could. So I went up to the fire house around 16:30 hours and we filled one pool with one load of water. We then stopped at Shell and got disiel and then went to the pump house to refill the tanker and then headed back to the station. After we got back, I took my gear out and we talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and played on the PS2. I then got off and ate a snack. Another busy day

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:00 hours when the pager went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I layed in bed and then Sue called me on my cell phone and asked me if I wanted to take it since it was two minutes until 06:00. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". Me an Dohn pulled in at the same time and got in 13-1 and went responding. Medic 6 said that they were only 5 minutes out and we told them they could handle it. I then got back in my car and headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed and got up again around 09:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed again and I sat down to eat breakfast and read the paper, when the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough at the Polk Apartments. I got my boots on and I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. Perry Medic 81 went along down with us as Medic 6 was all out of medics. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. As we were going down Second Street in the city, Medic 6 got tapped out for a cardiac arrest in Upper Paxton Township. Then we got tapped out for heart problems at the Dialysis center in Millersburg. Medic 6 ended up handling that one also. Then while we were coming up the south side of Peters Mountian, county called us and asked us what our location was. I told him and the pager went off for a fall victim in Wayne Township. Scott picked the medic up at Sheetz and ran him back up to his truck and we ran out to help this guy back up into bed. After we were done there, Dohn ran me back to his house. Once I got my car, I headed into the shed to do my tripsheet from the Millersburg call. Once at the shed, I logged my time and I did my paperwork and when I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things and to start working on 2005, the last folder of calls for Halifax Fire Department, and then I am done. I then ate dinner and me and my dad ran in and picked up 13-1 and brought it home after dropping of a house sign. Buasy day back to work

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems at Polk Assisted Living in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed for the "Barn". I let Dohn out at his place and I fell in behind him. We both pulled in and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Scott Wertz was already on the scene along with Dwayne Lahr, as it was his mother. We got her loaded up and took her up to Geisinger Medical Center. After we got what we needed up there, we headed on back. We dropped Wertz off at his squad in Millersburg and then headed back to the station. As we were coming out of Millersburg Borough, county called us and asked us if we still had the medic with us. We told them negative. As we got to the Hardee's the pager went off for chest pains at Polk Assisted Living in Millersburg Borough. We turned around at Hardee's and went responding. We got there and MICU 6-5 responded as Wertz had to restock. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Jim off at Sheetz and then went back to the shed. Bill was there and I talked to him while I did my two tripsheets. I logged my time also and Dohn changed the outside oxygen tank. After I was done with my tripsheets, I headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and picked up two bags of chips. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. Just as I had finished reading the paper, the pager went of for a psyhcatric patient in Wayne Township. I got back in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and PSP and the patient's case worker were already on the scene. The patient was going in for a mental eval. Here she was shitting all over her house and boy did she ever smell. I used so much Vicks under my nose and I had the exhaust fan running on high in the back and it still did not take away the smell altogether. We loaded her up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. As we were going down Second Street in Harrisburg, we got tapped out for an overdose in Upper Paxton Township. Kim and Bill ended up taking the call. After I got my car at Dohn's house I went back into the shed and logged my time in and did my tripsheet. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Horse Collar

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours as I was falling asleep at the computer. I got up this morning arond 12:00 hours after finally catching up or my sleep. I got out of bed and got dressed and then my mother got dressed and we got in my car and ran up to the vets in eville to pick up some medication for April. After that we ran into town. I dropped my mother off at Giant and I ran up to Community Banks and cashed my check. I then ran back down to Giant and went inside and helped my mother. We then headed back home. Once at home I helped bring stuff in and then I got on the computer to update the websites and work on 2004. I ate dinner while I was on the computer and I also ate a snack. I am now gettign ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Busy past few days

It has been quite some time since I posted on this blog. Thursday night it was down for maintenance, so I could not post. I spent most of the day Thursday up at the fire house working on the Utility and helping Bubba out. I went off duty at 12:00 hours and have been off duty since. I got home a little late Thursday night. I then got up Friday and spent most of the day down in Penbrook at the county convention. It was nice to catch up with some old friends that I have not seen for awhile. The meeting was good, the food was good and the church service was very good. My father left after the church service and I stayed for dinner. I sat with a few guys from Londonderry that knew me and we talked. The meal for dinner was great and the entertainment was very good. We then finished up the meeting and after it was over I left and headed on back up over the mountain. I stopped at home and changed clothes and headed back up to the fire house to do the touch up work on the Utility and then I helped Andy with the Engine. I left there around 01:30 hours, went home took a shower and was in bed by 02:00 hours. I was back up at 06:00 hours. I got into uniform and went up to the fire house. We left there around 07:45 hours and headed on down. We stopped at Lenny Dennie's and we ate breakfast with Robin and Bill and my father stopped also and ate breakfast with us. We then headed on down to Penbrook. We stopped at the fire house and registered and then went to the pre-judging area. Me and Bubba sat there for about 2 hours. We were able to eat an ice cream cone before we got judged. I was one of the last four pieces of apparatus to be judged. After I was judged I met them at the Wendy's on Progress Avenue and then we went and lined up in the parade. After the parade we went back to the Penbrook Borough park. The Engine did not win anything. The Tanker got beat by Union Deposit and Williamstown. I took second place with the Utility losing out to Life Team River Rescue. We then left and headed on home. We stopped and gases up and then once back at the statoin I swept up some while everyone else ran home to change clothes. I then changed clothes and once Bubba left, Me, Andy, Barb, Helen, and LeeAnn went up to the hall and sat around talking while they drank. I did not drink because of driving home. I left there about 23:30 hours and headed on home. I talked to my mom for a little bit and then I crashed in bed for the night. I got up early today and went up to the fire house to make the chickens. I ended up having to go around my devlopment to finish selling the chicken half's. After that I helped Bubba fill 4 pools and I got home around 21:00 hours. I ate dinner and took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the web for a little bit. Tomorrow I will be sleeping in.

Two more days

Went to bed last night at 01:00 hours as I was really dragging ass. I got up this morning around 12:00 hours and I got out of bed and I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things and to work on 2004. I then went outside and helped my father with the new spot light. I then went back inside and ate dinner while I watched a little tv. I then headed up to the fire house to do some minor work on the Utility as Wes is now not going down with me. I got up there and LeeAnn and Gary were there and we started talking. I wiped down the inside of the Utility and then I pretty much sat around and gave technical advice with the engine, since I could not get dirty. I left up there around 22:00 hours and headed on home. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Mom is home

Last night around 00:00 hours the power once again went out. This time it was only our whole street. I fely my way over to my room and grabbed my flashlight. I then went over to the bedroom and woke my father up. He then called PP&L. I went back to my bedroom around 01:30 hours. I believe around 04:00 hours or earlier the power was turned back on. Then at 06:31 hours, the EMS pager went off, followed by the fire pager for a structure fire in Halifax Township. I jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed, told my father to get out of the way and took off running for the car. I then headed up to the fire house. I pulled in and parked and ran inside and the tanker was running. I then threw my shoes off, put my bunker pants on and threw my jacket and helmet in the side compartment and shut the door. I then got in the tanker at the same time as Bubba did. I put us responding and off we went. We got as far as the Beer and Soda place when the box was held to Company 29. We turned around at the school and headed back to the station. Once back at the station, Bruce and the three Faust brother were there. Once we backed the tanker in, the 6 of us got talking. I left there and then head on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then headed into the "Barn" to make some copies. After I was done in there, I ran the stuff home. My father had already left to go back down to the hospital to pick my mother up and bring her home. I dropped the stuff off anf then I headed up to the fire house. Once up there, I grabbed the Indian Rake heads and tapped them up. I also got the portable generator all taped up. Wes then showed up (roll eyes). I had him tape up some fittings that I was going to paint. I then had him spray a small shovel and clean out one of the Indian Tanks. I then had him help me move the generator outside so I could paint it. Bubba then came over and the three of us talked. I then started putting stuff away and then Bubba left. Then me and Wes talked and then he left. I then pulled a few more things off and sprayed them and put them back after they dried. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I got the mail and then started to make dinner when my parents pulled up. I went out and helped my mother come inside and sit down. I then talked to her some. I then finished making dinner and then ate dinner while I played on the PS2 for a little bit. I then left and headed back up to the fire house. Once up there I helped with some stuff on the engine. I helped lay hose out to be washed and pulled a pre-connect off of the engine so it could be washed and helped repack some older hose on the engine so that we would have all the pre-connects. I then helped do some other odd things that needed done. I left up there around 21:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I talked to my mother some more and then I took a shower. I then ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Surgery went ok

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 09:10 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast. I then watched a little tv and read the paper. At 11:00 hours I then headed up to the fire house to work on the Utility. I got up there and pulled some of the stuff out that needed to be painted. I then started working on the interior of the cab. Bubba then showed up and we started painting stuff. He painted the spanner wrench's while I tapped up some fittings for him to spray. He then sprayed the fitting, the two shovels, the pitch fork, and a few other things. He then got ready and headed of to work and I finished cleaning the interior of the cab. After I was done there, I headed on home. While I was at the fire house, my father called and said that my mother was out of surgery and was in recovery and doing good. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played some. I then feed the cats and ate dinner. My father then came home and said that my mother was now in a room and doing very good. I then left and headed back up to the fire house to put the stuff that we had painted, back into the Utility. I then went up to the hall for the meeting. After that I went back down to the fire house and Andy pulled the engine out. I helped him pull some things off and we talked about what he wants to do tomorrow night. I told him that I would be up to help him. After we were done talking up there, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating a snack. Getting Closer to Convention

Went to bed last night around 02:20 hours. Around 03:57 hours I was rocked out of bed when the fire pager went off, followed by the house siren. It was to the tanker to assist on a working barn fire in Mifflin Township. Bubba and Dave took the tanker up. I was a little upset that I was working and not able to go. I got online to look at the board and see if anyone had posted information on it. There was a thread already started. I posted a little bit of information and then went back to bed. I got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then sat down to watch the race from Dover. I ate dinner while I watched the race and Matt Kennseth won. After that was over I changed clothes and ran stuff into the recycling bins. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at the "Barn" to log my time in for yesterday and today. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

Around 00:30 hours last nigth the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Borough. My father, Sue and Bill handled that call and took the person to Harrisburg Hospital. About 20 minutes later the pager went off again for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. Scott and Dohn handled that one and took their person to Harrisburg Hospital. I went to bed around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then gave my mother her birthday card and gift. I then ate lunch and me and my dad played a game on the PS2. After a while, he went out to the living room to watch some of the Busch race. I then played on the PS2 and made dinner and ate it. It has been a quiet day so far with only one call around 12:00 hours for Upper Paxton Township, and we were cancelled right after dispatch, as 20 got out. I am now getting ready to hit the old email, surf the net, and work on 2002 from the fire log. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

One Week and Counting!!!!

At 21:05 hours last night the power went off during the thunder storm we had. So the three of us sat in the living room talking. Shortly after the power went out the pager went off for a diabetic problem in Millersburg Borough at Station 20. We were cancelled on that. Then around 00:30 hours I blieve it was the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Kim and Dohn took that call. The power finally came back on at 01:30 hours. I then put the flashlights away and then went to bed around 02:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning at 09:31 hours when the ambulance pager went off, followed by the fire pager about 5 seconds later. It was for a Dryer Fire in Halifax Borough at Deb Matter's house. I got as far as the square in Fisherville and we were cancelled along with our tanker. I then continued into the "Barn" to get the information to put on Fisherville's site. I had just walked outside to get in my car when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. So I put my window up in my car and then went out front and got in 13-1 and started it up and waited for Dohn yo show up. Once Dohn showed up, I put us responding. Once out there, we got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. Jim had a paramedic student along with him, so he asked me to drive the squad down to Sheetz, which I did. Once I parked the squad, I got on the uint and we continued on our way. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Jim and his paramedic student off at Sheetz and then we headed back to the shed. Once there we restocked and then Dohn did his tripsheet and then I did mine. After I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and watched a little tv. I then got on the computer to do some things and to work on 2002. I then ate dinner and took a shower and just finished eating a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the web. A Nice Relaxing Massage

Went to bed last night around 02:40 hours and got up this morning around 08:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched a little tv and then got on the PS2 to play Medal of Honor. I ate lunch around 11:30 hours. I then got dressed around 12:10 hours and then headed into the "Barn" to do my tripsheet from the call last night. Bill then showed up and we talked for about 10 minutes. I then left and headed down to get my massage. I was able to relax with the massage and felt much better after. I then ran up to Rite Aid and got a card for my mother's birthday this Saturday and then I went to Giant and got a gallon of iced tea and some hamburger buns. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a nice cool shower and then got on the computer to do some things and to work on 2002. I ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. HOT!!!!!!

Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 04:30 hours when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. I listened until we got out and then I reset the pager and went back to bed. I was then rocked out of bed around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for heart problems in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, then got dressed, shut the living room window's and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and pulled in behind Dohn and we got in 13-2 and off we went. We got as far as Engle's when 6 put us in service, saying they could handle it. So we turned around and went up to Shell and got disiel. We then went back to the shed, where I got my car and followed Dohn up to Engle's. 13-2 was taken up to have the oil changed. I then took Dohn back to the shed. I then headed up to Giant to see if they had any iced tea, which of course they did not. So I then headed on home. I stopped at the fire house as Bubba had the tanker out taking the banner down. I talked to him for about an hour and then I headed on home. I was home for about 10 minutes when the pager went off for a CVA in Upper Paxton Township. I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once there I got in 13-1 and off we went. Steve was the medic and we took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We ran Steve back up to his squad and then we ran out to Dohn's house. Once I got my car I headed back into the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. After that I headed on home. Once at home, me and my mother watched the Blooper DVD of Emergency. I then read the paper and then got on the PS2 to play a little bit. I ate dinner while I was on the PS2. I then got off and got on the computer to do somethings. Around 20:30 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. Me and my dad got in his truck and we headed into the shed. Once in there was got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Lanny came to help us get her up off the floor. We then took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed back home. About 5 minutes after we had left the hospital, we got hit for chest pains in Halifax Township. Medic 6 ended up takin it. We stopped at the shed and I logged our times in and got the times for the call and put hte tripsheet in my folder and then we headed on home. Once at home I am now watching Myth Busters. I will be on shortly and then going to bed.
