Football Season, Soon to be here

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and my cell phone woke me up this morning around 07:14 hours. Amanda called me to see if I was on the tractor trailer accident at the top of the mountain. I told her that we were not dispatched on it, and then we talked for a little bit while she drove to work. After I hung up with her, I went back to bed and was rocked out of bed around 08:43 hours when the pager went off for abdominal pains in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed for the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn had just pulled in and I parked my car and we both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got to the scene, loaded the lady up and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. When we went by the triangle, Brush 29 was blocking the road heading to 225, and fire police were directing traffic. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. They were still directing traffic when we came back up through. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. After I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do some things. I also ate dinner while I was on the computer. Then around 18:45 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township, Scott and either Deb or Kim handled that call. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Calls for the day

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:17 hours when the pager went off for a fainting in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed for the "Barn". I got in there and parked my car and Carol pulled in behind me and we both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got to the scene and Dohn and the medic were already there. It ended up being a refusal. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then got all the extinguishers out and set them on the table for the guy from Phiffer's that was coming. Viv was there also, getting things set out for a rental for today. I helped her sweep the bays out and then I waited on the guy from Phiffer's. He got there a little past 08:00 hours and was there for about an hour. After he left, I headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes, as I was now off and I sat down to read the paper. I had just sat down when the pager went off for a cardiac arrest in Reed Township. I got up and got my shoes on and grabbed my portable and jumped in my car and headed for the scene. It ended up not being a cardiac arrest, but I continued on in anyways. When I got there, Sue and Tim were already there. Thomas showed up shortly after I did, and then the ambulance, followed by Engine 29-1 and then the medic. I then left and headed back home. Once back at home I read the paper and ate breakfast. I then got on the computer to do somethings and I ate lunch also. I just finished eating dinner and we are going to go pick up the unit soon and bring it home for the night. I will then hit the old email and surf the net. I am then watching Mythbusters tonight at 23:00 hours. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Pottsville Good Sam

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours again and got out of bed around 10:30 hours. I got dressed and then read the paper. I then made lunch and sat down to eat lunch and watch an episode of Emergency. Well I didn't get to do that as the pager went off at 12:34 hours for heart problems in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got my boots on, put my lunch in the fridge and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and Medic 6 was released and we loaded the lady up and took her to Pottsville Good Sam Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. After I got my car, I headed into the "Barn". Once in there I logged my time and did the paperwork from the call. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I finished my lunch and then got on the computer to do some things. I ate dinner while I was on the computer and then went into town around 20:30 hours to get my hair cut and then came home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. National Champions

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch and watched another episode of Emergency. After that was over, I headed into town for my massage. I got in there and had my massage for an hour and a half. I was a little achy afterwards, and she had tried some pressure points on my lower back to try and relieve some pain that I had there last week. After I was done there, I headed up to Rite Aid and got a box of Band-Aids and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower to relax some, as my back was achy after my massage. I then got on the PS2 and played my Orange Bowl game against Oklahoma and I won the National Championship. I then went to the off-season and worked on recuriting new players. My father then wanted to play a game against me, so we played the Army- Navy game. I beat him by a score of 111 to 0. A Rainy Sunday

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and tossed and turned in bed until about 03:00 hours. I then started to drift off to sleep when the pager went off for a public assist in Millersburg Borough. 20 got out and we were placed in service. I then finally drifted off to sleep. I was rocked out of sleep again around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for bleeding in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. Bill and Dohn handeled that call. I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. So I got up around 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then ate lunch around 12:30 hours and then got on the PS2 to play some college football. I played two games and ate dinner while I played. Around 18:07 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. My father and Carol handeled that call, and it was a refusal. I got off around 20:00 hours and took a shower. An Early Morning Accident with Entrapment

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and was rocked out of sleep around 03:30 hours when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I laid in bed and listened to the pager. Scott went on the scene and confirmed entrapment. Sue, Amanda and Dohn handeled the call and took the lady down to Hershey Medical Center. I then fell back asleep and was rocked out of sleep again when the pager went off around I would say 09:00 hours for a call in Jackson Township. Deb and Kim handeled that call and I feel back asleep again. I woke up around 12:30 hours and got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then headed into the "Barn" to play cards with Bill, Keith and Michelle. I got in there and we went inside and we played rummy. Amanda then stopped by to do her two tripsheets. After we finished the first game of rummy, I went back to the office to help Amanda with her tripsheet from the accident this morning. After she was done, we talked for a little bit and then she headed on home. We then went back and played another game of rummy. I left there a little after 18:30 hours and headed to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and a gallon of iced tea. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate dinner while I watched the race at Bristol. I also ate a snack while I watched the race, It was a great race, with at least 9 cautions, but not a lot of wrecks. Matt Kenseth won the race. Jeff came in 6th and Jimmie came in 10th. Busy Morning

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 04:37 hours when the pager went off for and unconscious person in Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Scott was already there. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and Medic 6 was right behind us. After we got the guy loaded we took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and did my paperwork while I was still awake. After I was done I then headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed to try and get some more sleep. I was once again rocked out of bed around 10:35 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. I got out of bed and got dressed again and then got back in my car and headed back into the shed. I got there and Dohn was already there. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and spent 44 minutes at Polk. The lady fell in the smallest bathroom in the building. While we were there, another gentleman fell in the rear parking lot. I had Dohn stay with the original lady and I went out back and checked on the gentleman. The man only had a few minor cuts and he was ok. We then got the lady loaded up and took her to Community General Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on home. We stopped at Shell on the way home and got disiel and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done, I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and ate a sandwich and got on the computer to do some things. I then got off around 18:00 hours. At 18:04 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Wayne Township, Sue, Amanda and Dohn handeled the call. I then got changed into street clothes and then headed into the high school for the scrimmage game tonight. I got there and got something to eat from the concession stand and then went over and talked to Bill. He then headed back to the station to meet up with my father and they brought the second unit out to the game. I left the high school around 21:00 hours and headed on home. A Game of Cards

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 08:40 hours and moved my car so my mother could leave to go down to visit her parents. I then went back to bed and tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't and ended getting back up around 09:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then grabbed lunch and sat down and watched the 2 hour pilot movie of Emergency and then one of the one hour tv shows. I then got on the computer to do somethings. It was a slow day with no calls. I ate dinner while I was on the computer and then got off at 18:00 hours and took a shower. I then headed into the "Barn" to play cards with the gang. I got there and Amanda, Bill, Keith and Michelle were all already there. We started playing bullshit and then Matt showed up followed by Alfie and Kim and we had a good round of bull shit going for the longest time. Then around 22:00 hours, Amanda decided to head home due to going to work tomrrow. Her and me then went out back and stood by her car and talked about some things. I then went back inside and we played until around 00:40 hours and then I headed on home. I am now eating a snack and am getting ready to hit the sack as I am tired.

An Early Morning Accident

Around 01:32 hours last night, the fire pager went off, followed by the ambulance pager for an accident with injuries on Enders Road, in Jackson Township. I quickly got dressed and then me and my father got in my car and headed for the fire house. We got up there and we ran inside and I got my gear on. The Engine was already pulled out and was full, so I ran over and got in the Utility. I got in and my dad got in and off we went. We got to the scene and the box was held to us, and we placed Engine 29-1 and Medic 6 in service, and then my dad placed the ambulance in service. The kid was out of the car and mom and dad were there, and dad was pissed. We stayed until the towing company came. I was told to get some hi-dry off of the Engine, which is up in the hose bed. Ugh. So I had to climb up on top of the hose bed and get the hi-dry and boy was I out of breath by the time I got back down. We were on scene for about a little over and hour and then we headed back to the station after the towing company left. Once back at the station, I stayed and talked for a little bit and then me and my dad headed on home. Once at home I did a few things online and then crashed in bed around almost 04:00 hours. I got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things, when around 15:45 hours the pager went off for heart problems in Millersburg Borough at the Health Center. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed for Dohn's. I got there and parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. While we were coming down Front Street, the pager went off for chest pains in Jackson Township at Harman's Stove Company. Medic 6 handled the call. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then headed back to Dohn's house. After I got my car I headed back into the "Barn". Once there I logged my time in and did my paperwork from the call. Dohn then brought 13-1 back in and the after he left, my father showed up to work on the bay doors. The bay doors are now fixed and we left there around 20:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate a very late dinner and watched some tv. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Day Off

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played two games of college football, while I also ate dinner. It was a very slow day with no fire calls. Bill had one call this afternoon and Sue, Amanda, and Kim are on a call from Millersburg right now. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. School Girl Night

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Community General Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad at SLV and then went back to Dohn's house so I could pick my car up. Once I got my car I headed back into the "Barn". Once there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. Once I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch and got on the computer to do some things and to work on the article some more. I then ate dinner and got ready for the meeting. Me and my father got in there a little late, due to a minor problem at home. After the meeting I did the minutes and talked with Sue and Amanda about setting up a date for cards at thier house next month, along with setting a date for them to take me out to Hooters with a few of the gang. We then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Reunion

Went to bed this morning around 03:00 hours and got up around 09:00 hours. I got out of bed and grabbed something real quick for breakfast and then took a shower. Once out of the shower I got dressed and then ran into Giant to pick up a Gallon of Iced Tea and two cans of Tomato Sauce for the meat balls. I then headed to the "Barn" to help my dad get things set up for the reunion. I got there and Carol was there. I went inside and finished sweeping the bays and then helped him set 6 tables anc chairs up. I then made signs up for where to enter, where to register, where the movies for the kids were, for the meat balls and for the pretzel guessing game. He then set up the screen and projector and VCR for the movies. We then sat around and waited for people to show up. My mother then got there from church, and then my Uncle David and Aunt Sue showed up, and that was it, no one else. So the five of us sat and discussed and we decided that this was the last year that we were going to hold it. Dave and Sue said that next year, they would just come up and visit us, pick up a pizza and that would be the reunion. Bill then showed up and we invited him out to eat, which he did after he finished doing his tripsheet. The meat balls were good and we had a good time talking with Dave and Sue. We then tore everyting down and cleaned up and then I stayed and talked to Bill for a little bit and then headed on home to watch the race. It was a good race at Michigan with Matt Kenseth winning and Jeff came in second, which moved him up to sixth in the standings. After the race as over I took a short nap and then got on the computer to do some things. I am getting ready to eat a snack and to hit the old email and surf the net. My Day With Amanda

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up around 08:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then left the house around 09:30 hours and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and then waited on Scott. Once he got there, we got in 13-1 and then headed up to Sheel to grab something to drink and then headed back up to the high school football field. Once up ther we parked and then me and Scott headed over towards the grand stands and sat over there for a little bit and then we went over to the conscesion stand and got something to eat. While we were standing over there, I would say it was around 11:40 hours, the pager went off for problem urinating in Millersburg Borough at the Frederick Health Center. Me and Scott made out way over to the unit and then went around to the front parking lot to pick Amanda up. Once Amanda showed up we went responding. We got up there and got the guy loaded up and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Taco Bell on Front Street so Amanda could get something to eat for lunch and then we headed on back up. We dropped Amanda off at her car and then headed back to the shed. Once there, Bill was there, along with Keith and Melissa. So I signed my time in and then the four of us sat there and talked. Then around 15:30 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Reed Township, Perry County. I went out front and started 13-1 up and then waited for everyone else to show up. Amanda showed up first, and then Amy dropped Scott off and they both got in and off we went. We got as far as the Clarks Ferry Bridge, when we were placed in service. So we turned around and headed back. We stopped at Scott's Alpca farm so Amanda could see his new Alpca, and I got to see the kitties that were there. After we were done there, Scott had Amanda drive his truck back to the shed. Once back there, Amanda did her tripsheet and I stayed and talked some more. I then left around 17:30 hours and headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then went to Giant to pick up a jar of peanut butter for my mother. I had just picked the jar up when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I went over and paid for the jar and then got to my car and headed for the shed. I got there and parked my car and I went over and unplugged the unit and Scott pulled up, followed by Amanda. We all got in 13-1 and off we went. While we were heading out to that call, the pager went off again for a sick person in Jackson Township. Dohn and Carol ended up taking that one. Once we got to the scene, we got the lady loaded, Medic 6 released the Pt. to BLS and we took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital. When we got down there, Steph was working in registration. We waited a good 30 minutes for a bed. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. That was when we found out that Medic 6 was taking a call for us in Halifax Township on Camp Hebron Road. Once we got back, I signed my time in and then Amanda did her tripsheet. Bill then called and said about having a small party in the meeting room tonight, and I told him that I would check with the parents to make sure they had nothing planned tonight. So I ran the peanut butter home and talked to my mother, who said that they had nothing planned for tonight. So I then headed on back in. When I got there, Dohn and Carol were just getting back. I went into the office and then went over to the meeting room around 21:00 hours. Bill was already there, along with Keith and Melissa and Scott. Bill had two pizzas, a couple bags of chips, plus I brought a bag of pretzels, and Bill had a bottle of Root Beer. I had 3 slices of pizza and then Amanda ran home to get her cell phone charger and then stopped at Giant and picked up an ice cream cake for Bill and brought it back. While we were down at Harrisburg Hospital, we picked up a set of spider straps and once back at the shed, figured out they were the fire departments, so Scott called Alf and let him know, and he stopped by to pick them up. Alf then came back and talked with us while we played Bullshit. He then went home to check on the kids and his wife and then he came back out. We got him playing bullshit and we all had a good time. Most of us left around 00:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I had a popsicle, and around 01:25 hours the pager went off for a call in Millersburg, but 20 got out and we were canceled. I will be going to bed soon.

My Day with Sue

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed around 02:40 hours when the pager went off for abdominal pains in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn." I got there right after Sue had pulled in. She got out of her car and walked up to the front of the shed and put her boots on while I unlocked the door and then we both went inside and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and Chief 20-A was on the scene. It was Chief 20-3 that we were taking down to Holy Spirit Hispital. After we got what we needed there, we headed on back. We stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front Street and grabbed something to eat and drink and then continued on our way. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and decided to do the paperwork from the call. After I was done, I headed on home and once at home I went straight to bed and got back up around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch, read the paper and watched some TV. I then got on the computer to do something and start working on one of my articles for next years convention book. Then around 15:00 hours the pager went off for an accident in Perry County. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Sue was already in 13-1 and they cancelled us as we went responding. So me and Sue talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. As I was coming down Enders Road, the pager went off again for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough. So I turned around and headed back to the station. I got there and parked in started 13-1 up awhile and then put us respondiong when Sue turned in. We got up there and got the lady loaded and cancelled Medic 6 and then took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. While we were on our way down, we got hit for a sick person in Jackson Township. Bill and Dohn took that one. After we got what we needed down there, we stopped at Wendy's and I grabbed something to eat for dinner and then we stopped at Shell and got disiel and then went back to the station. Once there, I logged my time in and then did hte paperwork from the call. Bill and Dohn showed up while I was there and then me and Bill talked for awhile and then we headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the computer. That was when Sue told me about Alf inviting us all out to his place for a party tonight. So we all decided to head over around 21:30 hours. Once over there, I had a good time. Along with Alf and his wife, Tim, Matt, Holly, Dave, Jeff, Connie, Sue, Bill and then Amanda stopped in later on. We all had a good time, including when Alf got in the neighboors pool. I left there around 02:00 hours and am now home and getting ready to go to bed.

A day away from home

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and got up this morning around 08:00 hours. Once up I took a shower and then shaved once I got out. I then grabbed an oatmeal bar and ate one while I got dressed. I then put a set of clothes in my car to change into once I was done with my interview. I then got in my car and headed on down to Blue Cross. Once down there, I went inside and signed in and then waited to be called in to Human Resources. Once called in, I filled out and application, then went back and talked to the recruiter, and then she took me down to meet with Linda, and she showed me around the mail room and we talked some. Altogether I was there for 1-1/2 hours. After I was done there, I headed over to my grandparents house. My mother was already there, and ocne I got there, I changed clothes and then, me, my mother and my grandmother got in my mothers car and the three of us went over to Sam's and Wal-Mart to get stuff. I ate lunch at Sam's and then we went over to Wal-Mart where I got new shoes and more socks. We then headed on home. Once back at their place, my father was there. We all then talked and watched some TV. Then me and my father went over to Pizza Hut to eat dinner. After that we went back to the grandparents house for a half an hour and then we both headed over to County for EMA training. Training took about 1-1/2 hours and then after we talked to Dave in the Com Center for a few minutes, we headed on up home. I stopped at Giant before I headed home and got a gallon of milk and iced tea, and then I headed on home. 3 in a two day period

Around 20:50 hours last night, the fire pager went off for a CO2 alarm at 75 Bistian Road. I quickly got dressed and got in my car and took off for the fire house. I pulled in and ran inside and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my coat and helmet. Bubba was already there and he told me to take the Utility. He then got in the Engine when LeeAnn and Eric got there. Bruce then took the Tanker. We went responding and county told Bubba that the resident provided a proper passcode and wished for us to cancel. Bubba told county that we would contine in anyway to check it out. So once we got on the scene, Bubba told me to bring the Utility up to the driveway, and then he got in and we went back to the house to talk to the owner. After we talked to the owner, Bubba placed the box in service and all three pieces headed back to the fire house. Once there, all three pieces were put away and then we all talked for awhile before everyone left to head on home. Once at home I got back on the computer and then eventually went to bed around 02:00 hours. I got up this morning around 12:00 hours and I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. After my mothers show was over, we loaded her car up and headed into the recycling bins to drop off stuff. After that we headed on back home. My mother wanted to see the house along Enders Road, so we decided to head up that way to look at them. While we were on our way up there, I would say around 15:20 hours, the fire pager went off for a fire alarm at 75 Bistian Road. My mom headed for the fire house and when we got there, Bruce and Andy were already there, along with Matt Danner. I got my bunker pants on and grabbed my coat and helmet and told Andy that I would take the Utility. So the Engine pulled out and I ran over and got in the Utility and turned the master switch on. At that point I heard the Engine backing up, so I called county and asked them if the box was placed in service, which they said yes. I then turned the master switch off and plugged the Utility back in, and called my mother to come up and get me. I then talked for a few minutes and then I went out and got in my mothers car and we went home. Once at home I got on the PS2 to play some Grand Theft Auto. Then around 17:30 hours, I had just sat down to eat dinner, when the fire pager went off again for a vehicle fire at 384 Creek Drive. I got my shoes on and grabbed my hat and keys and got back in my car and headed back to the fire house again. This time I got there first. I ran inside and opened both bay doors up and then got my bunker pants on and grabbed mt coat and helmet and threw them in the front seat of the Engine. I then ran around to the drivers side of the Engine, pulled the plug out and started the Engine up. I then started back around the Engine and I ran into Bruce, and he told me that it was his riding lawn mower on fire. I then got in the officers seat, LeeAnn got in behind me and Bruce got in the driver's seat and we took off. Meanwhile, Jason got on the scene and advised county of a fully envolved lawn mower. We got there and Burce parked the Engine, and me and LeeAnn got out. Meanwhile, Jason was pulling the trash line off and me and LeeAnn helped. I then went over to the back up man position on the trash line to help Jason. We had the fire put out fairly quickly and then did mop up. We then rolled the hose up and all had a good laugh with Bruce about the situation and then we got back on the Engine and headed back to the fire house. Once back there, I filled out the incident report and then me and LeeAnn talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I finished eating dinner and got back on the PS2. I ate a snack while I was on the PS2 and I then took a shower around 22:00 hours and I got back on the PS2 until around 23:30 hours. I then got off and got on the computer to check me email and I am soon going to go to bed.

A new job might be on the horizion

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:01 hours when the pager went off for diabetic problems in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed in to the "Barn". I got there and Carol was already there. We got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and checked the guy out and then Medic 6 got there and checked the guy out, but he said that he did not want to go down to the hospital, so it was a refusal. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done there, I headed up to Rite Aid to grab something and then I headed on home. Once at home I helped my mother try and find Toby so she could take him up to the vets, but we could not find him so she had to reschedule his appointment for tomorrow morning. After that i ate breakfast, read the paper and watched some TV. I then got on the computer to do some things and surf the net. My mother then headed on down to Harrisburg for a doctor's appointment. While she was gone, Blue Cross called my cell phone to set up an appointment to talk to me this Thursday morning regarding the mail room position. I was excited to say the least. Also I took time last night while I was laying in bed to think about what my mother has been telling me for some time now. And I came to the conclusion that I am going to start looking for some online college courses for me to take so that I can get a degree in Web Design. I then ate lunch while I was on the computer and then I ate dinner while I was on the computer also. I just finished taking a shower and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Bingo

Went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper and then watched a little TV. I then headed up to the fire house around 12:30 hours. I got there and Jessica, LeeAnn and Helen were already there. We talked about some of the games that we saw at Halifax's carnival. Then we waited for the people to show up. While we were waiting, I found out that the cabinet down in the fire house was accidently locked the last time Bubba was in it, and no one knew where the key was at. Bubba finally found it and was able to unlock the cabinet. Then once everyone was there and setteled in to play, Bubba found out that who ever called bingo last, broke the mic and never told him about it. He tried to fix it for 15 minutes and then he gave up and ended up just yelling the numbers out. Bingo went very good. After it was over, we all headed down to the fire house and talked for awhile and then we all headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. Halifax Firemen's Carnival Day 4

Went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this morning at 08:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast. After I was done eating breakfast, I headed on down to my grandparents house for most of the day. I got there and my Grandmother was there. My brother and Grandfather were out doing some shopping when I got there. They then came home about 10 to 15 minutes after I got there. We then left around 10:35 hours and headed over to Hoss's for lunch. Lunch was great, I had chicken tenders. After we were done there, my brother and grandparents had to stop at the bank, and then after that we headed on home. Once at home, I helped my brother bring a couch up from the room downstairs. We moved it out onto the car-port for the furniture guys to pick up this Wednesday. I then helped him take the old chair from the living room, down to the room downstairs. After that I helped him move the dryer out so he could clean that out. I left their house around a little after 16:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and picked up a few things and then headed on home. Once at home I talked to the parents for a little bit and then headed into the carnival for the night. I got there and talked to Alf about something. While I was talking to him, their pagers went off for a medical assist in Halifax Township, for lifting assistance. Alf said that I could go on their engine if I wanted to, so I did. After we helped 13-2, out we headed back to the park. Once back at the park, I got something to eat for dinner and then talked to some of the guys when 13-1 backed in. I went over and talked to Bill and Amanda until Carol showed up and then I walked around the carnival. I spent most of my night at the high rollers game, losing and winning money. I then helped them tear down stuff and put it away. I left there around 00:35 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am about ready to go to bed as I am really tired and a little sore.

Halifax Firemen's Carnival Day's 2 & 3

I started writing this last night, but I fell asleep. Yesterday was a fun day with working in the Utility and the parade. I got up early yesterday morning to headed into the "Barn" to help Amanda clean 13-2 up. I got in there and while I was waiting for her, Sue called my cell phone and told me that Amanda was not felling well and that she had laid down and fell asleep. I told Sue to tell Amanda that it was not a problem and then I headed on home. Once at home I played on the PS2 and ate lunch. I then went up to the fire house around 12:00 hours and washed the Utility. Bubba came back with the Tanker while I was washing the Utility and we talked for a little bit and then he headed on down home to take a nap before he went to work. I then finished washing the Utility and Eric showed up. I then went back home and took a shower and then got changed into my dress uniform and headed back up to the fire house around 16:30 hours. I got up there and Dave was washing the Tanker. We left the fire house around 17:30 hours and headed into the high school to get registered and judged. We got inspected and then went over to get judged. The Tanker and the Utility made it through ok, but the Engine was disqualified for an out of date inspection sticker. The parade was a good one, long to. After the parade was over, we walked around and I talked to quite a few people until it was time for the awards to be given out. Right before the awards were given out, we got a fire call for traffic control on Berry Mountain. The Engine and the Tanker went and I stayed behind for awards. The Tanker took second place. After all the awards were given out, I left and headed back to the fire house. I got back and they weren't back yet, so I backed the Utility in and waited for them. They got back like 20 minutes later. I then was up at the fire house until 24:00 hours. All of us plus Gary Gruver were shooting the shit and "talking" and have fun. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the computer to do some stuff. I had laid down because my feet were bothering me and when I woke up it was 02:00 hours and I got off the internet and went to bed. I got up this morning around 12:00 hours and I got out of bed and I changed clothes and then I ate lunch and read the paper. Around 12:40 hours the pager went off for na unconscious person in Millersburg Borough. I got in my car and headed for the "Barn". I got in there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there. We got the girl loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. I drove the Squad down to Sheetz and they also picked up Carol to put in the back since it was a young female. I was pissed and both Dohn and Carol knew it. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic and Carol off and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and did the paperwork from the call. After that I headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and ate a lighr dinner. Then me and my father left and headed down to Hershey for the County Executive Meeting. The meeting went ok and after we stayed and talked for a little bit, we headed on back home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to soon go ot bed as I am once again tired.

Halifax Firemen's Carnival Day 1

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and the new SIM card for my new cell phone came today. So the first thing I did was called Tracfone and got my cell phone set up. I still have my old cell phone number. After that was done I ate lunch and read the paper. Then around 12:49 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Township at the church. I got in my car and headed into the sceen to meet Dohn since he was already at the station. I got there and we got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. As we started up the mountin, the pager went off for a lacertaion in Halifax Township. We went responding and Dohn dropped me off at my car at the church and then picked Susie up and continued to the scene. I headed back to the "Barn" and when I got there, Amanda, Bill and Carol were there. Amanda and Bill were washing 13-1, and then Sue came in and dropped off lunch. I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. Dohn then came back as thier call was a refusal. I then helped Amanda finish washing 13-1 and then helped her wash 13-2. After we were done, I headed on home. Once at home I set about adding all the phone numbers into my new phone. I then got changed back into my uniform and then me and my father headed back into the shed. Once there, and then once Sue got there, we took both units down to the park to stand-by at the carnival for the night. The carnival was great and the food was also great. We were there until 23:00 hours and then me and my father took 13-2 up to Shell and got disel and then headed back to the shed to put his truck inside and I logged our stand-by time in and then we headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to check a few things and then I will be going off to bed.

A Busy Day of Calls

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:43 hours when the pager went off for a CVA in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed for the "Barn". I got there and Carol pulled in behind me and we both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and then we headed up to Geisinger Medical Center. After we got what we needed up there, we headed on back. We stopped at Burger King and got breakfast and then headed back to SLV, where we dropped the medic off at his squad and the continued back to the shed. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and got a gallon of milk and iced tea. I then headed on home. Once at home I sat down to read the paper and got done with the front section when the pager went off around 13:30 hours for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I got back in my car and headed back into the shed. Once there I got in 13-2 and we took off. We got there and Dohn had headed out to help us. We got the guy loaded and once medic 6 got there, we got moving and headed on down to Hershey Medical Center. As we were coming down the mountain, the guy went unresponsive and the medic tubed him and I started bagging him all the way down to Hershey. After we got what we needed there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then headed on back to the station. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and played on the PS2 for a little bit. Then around 19:30 hours I headed up to the fire house to clean the cab of the Utility. Bill stopped in and we talked for a little bit. Once I was done up there, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a snack and played on the PS2 for a little bit. Kitties

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clotehs and then ate breakfast and read the paper. Me and my mother then left around 07:00 hours to headed on down to our doctor's appointments. We stopped at the "Barn" so I could fix a tripsheet and then we continued on down. We got down there a little early, so we stopped at Lowe's to look for a new door bell button for out front. After we were done there, we headed over to the doctor's office for out appointments. After we were done there, we went an did some shopping. We stopped at Target, Costco's, Party City, Borders, the bank and Dollar Tree. After we were done down there, we headed on back home. My mother stopped and got gas before we headed on back home. Once at home we brought everything in and then I got on the PS2 to play for a little bit and I ate dinner while I was playing. When my dad got home, my mom went out to ask him something and she saw a kitten run under her car. So we tried to get it to come to us, but it was too scared. It ran into the fooliage that we have on the bank. So we started looking and we saw two more kitties in there. So we now have at least 3 that we know of running around out back, so we have to watch coming in and out of the driveway. I then headed up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. After the regular meeting was over, a couple of guys from 29 showed up with the Brush Truck and the Trailer to pick up the dice wheel and some other things that they loaned us for our carnival. So me, Dave, and Andy went out to help them. After that we went back in and had the Relief meeting. After we were done up there a few of us talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. Around 22:30 hours the pager went off for an overdose in Jackson Township. Since it was near the firehouse, I decided to head to the scene to help out. I got there and I have had the lady before. The Amanda, Kim and Scott showed up and they took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital with Medic 6. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Chicken BBQ

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours the my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into my street clothes and then ate breakfast and read the comics. I then left the house at 07:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for the chicken BBQ today. I got up there and went over into the fire house and got my work gloves out of my bunker jacket and went over to the old fire house to start putting charcoal into the trailer. After I got done with that, I got to the task of trying to get the bay door opened in the old fire house. Leeann showed up and tried to help, but the door kept hitting something. Then once Dave got there, we were able to get the door opened and we pulled the trailer over to in the lot across from the fire house. The while Dave and Bubba worked on lighting the fires, I took the Utility up to the hall and got the pans of chickens and took them back down to beside the trailer. We finally got the chicken on the racks, just after 08:00 hours. All the racks were off by 11:00 hours. We had a decent crowd, not as busy as we usually are. I headed out in the Utility around 12:30 hours to pedal chicken. I sold out in about an hour and then headed back to the fire house to help clean up. I got back there and we put the trailer away and cleaned up everything else that we had used. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then sat down to watch the race an eat my chicken. The race was a good one with Jimmie Johnson winning the Brickyard 400. A Motorcycle Accident

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I laid in bed for a little bit when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed, got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn had 13-2 already pulled out. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded and took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. Here the guy had pulled over to say something to the guy that was riding in front of him (who had also pulled over). When he put his right foot down, it went in the ditch along the side of the road, and the bike fell over onto his right leg. He had a lot of pain in the area where the bike landed. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got diesel and then headed back to the shed. Bill and Carol were there when we got back. Once inside I logged my time and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then got in the computer to do some things. Then around 17:11 hours, the pager went off for an allergic reaction in Millersburg Borough. 20 got out right away and we were placed in service. Still working in the Utility

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:40 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then grabbed two bottles of Gatorade and headed up to the fire house around 12:00 hours. When I got up there the Tanker was gone. Bubba went out to fill a pool. So I got all the stuff ready to clean the Utility and started working on the back section of the truck. I was about half way done when Bubba got back from filling that pool. He backed the tanker in and then got on the computer to enter some reports into the computer while I finished cleaning the back of the Utility. Once I was done, me and Bubba talked about some things. Then I helped him cut some brush along the edge of the empty lot in front of the station and drag it down to the pit. While we were doing that Bill showed up. We then walked up to the station and we talked for a little bit. Then Bill's pager went off for a Phsyc. Pt. in Millersburg Borough, and he took off and headed for the "Barn" to meet up with Sue. While me and Bubba were up there, a guy showed up at the station that Bubba knew that was looking for an application to join the company. We talked to the guy for awhile and gave him and application and showed him the tanker. Then he left and Lonny showed up. Thent the three of us talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner while I got on the computer. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Working on the Utility

Around 24:00 hours last night the pager went off for a fall vitcim in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. I has just finished watching Mythbusters and me and my father got dressed, then I called Amanda and told her we would pick her up at the station. Me and my dad then got in 13-1 and off we went. We stopped and picked Amanda up at the "Barn" and then we continued on up to the scene. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. Amanda did really good. She needed a little help and some re-assurance, but she did very, very well. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got disel and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged our times in and then we helped Amanda to get her times. After that me and my father headed on home. Once at home I finsihed up a few things on the computer and then headed off to bed. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 12:30 hours when the pager went off for a sick person in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then headed up to the church in town. I parked there and walked down to the house. A young girl was having ear pain that was getting worse. The problem was the family had no way of getting home. So they ended up deciding not to go down to the hospital. After that I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. I also ate dinner while I was on the computer. After I was done eating dinner and I went off duty, I changed clothes and headed up to the fire house to work on the Utility for the parade next Thursday. I was up there for a few hours and once I was done I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a snack and just finished taking the trash out. I lifted my payload for the day

Dohn picked me up and we got on scene and got the lady loaded up and then met Perry Medic 81 at Gonder's Grub House. After we picked the medic up we continued on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then Dohn dropped me off at my car and then I headed into the "Barn". Once in there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done there, I headed up to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and 4 bottles of Gatorade. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things and I also ate dinner while I was on the computer. Then around 18:30 hours me and my father headed to Dohn's house to pick up the unit. We then headed into the shed to pick up a few things and then headed on home. Berrysburg Parade

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and my mother told me to go back to bed and she would wake me up in 30 minutes. So I went back to bed and she woke me up at 06:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then headed in to the "Barn". I got in there and about 4 minutes later, Truck 20 showed up to put the rope back up on the flag pole. After they were done, we talked for a few minutes and then they lefy and I followed behind them. Once at home I got on the computer to do some things and I ate lunch while I was on the computer. I then headed up to the fire house around 13:30 hours. I got up there and Bubba was working on a grant on the computer so I sat there and we discussed it, along with some other things. We then washed the tanker and boy was it HOT out. We took small breaks and drank plenty of water and Gatorade. After we were done washing the tanker, Bubba went back down to his house and I ran up to Gonder's to grab something to drink and eat. I then headed back to the fire house. Once back there, I changed shirts and then Leeann, Helen and Tonita were there. Leeann moved the engine out and I moved the utility out and the three of them started washing both pieces. We then left and headed up to Berrysburg for the parade. Boy was that parade big. I never knew that it was that big and there was a lot of people watching it. After the parade we all went over and enjoyed the food, games, rides and entertainment. We then left and headed back. We stopped at the Shell in Eville and got disel and then headed back to the fire station. Once back there, most of us stayed and talked for a while and then we all headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished having a light snack. I am going to go to bed soon as I am really tired.

Your finger nail is going to fall off

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and I noticed that the finger that I smashed in the tail gate about 2 weeks ago now, had some discolorazation under the nail. So I thought that I better go to the doctor's to make sure it was not started to get infected. So I called the doctor's office and got an appointment for in the afternoon. I called Bill and asked him to cover for me until I got back from the doctor's office. I then changed into street clothes and then ate lunch, read the paper and watched some tv. I left the house around 13:00 hours and headed into the doctor's office. I got there and checked in and then the nurse took me back and weighed me and took vital signs. Then I waited for Dr. Little to come in. He came in and took a look at it and told me that my finger nail was going to fall off. So I wasted all that time to have him tell me something I already knew. So after I was done there, I went to giant and got some chips and a gallon of iced tea. I then headed on home. Once at home I called Bill and thanked him for covering for me. I then changed into my uniform and then got on the computer to do some things. Just as my mother had started to make my dinner, the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there behind Engine 29-1 and it ended up being two refusal's. After we were done there we ran back out to Dohn's house and I picked up my car and headed back into the "Barn". Once I got in there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. Then around 18:30 hours the pager went off for heart problems in Halifax Township. Scott and Carol took the call. Then Deb showed up at the shed. Here I guess Carol thought that Deb was not running so she went on the call. Me and Deb then talked and then I headed on home. Once I got home I ate dinner and got on the computer and the pager went off for an Allergic Reaction in Halifax Township. Deb and Carol took 13-1 out and then Scott went down on 13-1.
