Triage Training

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed on down to lower county for my doctor's appointment. Once I was done there, I headed over to the bank and put money in my checking account and my money management account. I then went to Wal-Mart. There, I got new wiper baldes for my car, a pair of jeans, shampoo and some food. I then headed on home. Once at home I put my new wiper baldes on. I then watched three episodes of Season 2 of Emergency while I ate lunch. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of college football. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I then got off at 17:45 hours and got ready to head into Station 29 for training tonight. I left here around 17:55 hours. I stopped at the fire station and grabbed my gear and then headed into Station 29. Training was very good. After training was over, I headed on back home. I stopped at the fire station and dropped my gear off and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. One Race Closer to the End

Went to bed last nioght around 02:00 hours and got up this moring around 09:50 hours. The clocks were turned back last night before I went to bed. I got up and changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of college football. I then got off around 15:00 hours to watch the race from Atlanta. Tony Stewart won the race. I ate dinner while I watched the race. After the race, around 19:00 hours, I got my shoes on and headed up to Millersburg. I stopped at the fire station and grabbed my gear and then continued up to Millersburg. I stopped at Tower Sales and grabbed a Sprite and a bag of chips and then headed to the Casey's house. Bill was already there when I got there. We played Uno first and then Bill left and headed on home around 22:45 hours. I stayed and we then played a game of Phase 10. I won. I left there around 00:16 hours and headed on home. I stopped at the fire station and dropped off my gear and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to crash in bed.

A Shutout

Around 02:00 hours last night the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Township. Sue and Kim handeled that call, and it ended up being a refusal. I went to bed around 02:30 hours. Sometime later, the pager went off for a chocking in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. 20 got out and we were placed in service. Once again, I fell asleep with the pager in bed again. I work up around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. I then ate lunch and sat down to watch the Penn State game. Penn State shut out Prudue, 12-0. After the game I got on the computer to do some things. I ate dinner while I was online. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. A Truck off the Bridge Again

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 around 13:30 hours. I played Outlaw Golf 2 on the PS2. Around 15:15 hours, county dispatched Company 29 to the clarks ferry bridge for an accident with injuries. Here a tractor trailer went off the bridge and landed in the parking lot beside the bridge. I called my dad and let him know what happened, and he said that he was heading to the scene. From what I heard it was a real mess. The driver ended up being a signal 12. My dad just got home around 23:30 hours from the scene. So anyway back to my day. The football game was moved up to 17:00 horus due to the rain coming tonight. So I left the house around 16:00 hours and headed into the high school. I got there and parked my car and headed up to the stands. The other team was not even there yet. The game was good, we beat Junitia 38-7. The band went in after half time. So when they went out on the field, I called over to Bill and took orders for food and then paid for it all and took it over to them. I gave them their food and then took my trupment back down to my car. I then went back up to the units and got in the back of 13-2 with Amanda. The 4 of us then spent the rest of the game talking. I then went down to 5th quarter and we spent the next two hours sitting in the unit talking. They left at 21:00 hours and I headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Halloween Activities

Tuesday night around 02:00 hours the pager went off for a call at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. I called Deb to see if Kim had heard the call and she told me that he now goes off at midnight. So I got dressed and before I got out of my room, we were cancelled as 20 got out. I called Sue and we talked for a few minutes and then I went to bed. I was rocked out of bed around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for back pains in Washington Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to the church in Fisherville. Medic 6 got a unit out and we were placed in service. So I headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. Around 12:40 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to Dohn's house. I picked my car up and then headed into the "Barn". Once there, I logged my time in and did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home as I was now off duty. I saw some cars at the fire station as I drove by so I stopped in. Bubba, Kevin and my dad were there. The four of us talked for a little bit and then my dad headed home, and I headed on home about 20 minutes later. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then ate dinner. I then headed up to the fire house and put my gear in the Utility. I took the Utility, Bubba took the Tanker and Lonny and LeeAnn took the Engine. We got in there and got the generator's set up. We then went in the parade at intervials to provide lighthing to groups. I provided lighting to the Millersburg Marching Band. The parade was a long one. As I was coming back into the park, Sue, Amanda and Bill were just leaving the park. We waited around for awhile, and then we decided to go get fuel. So all three of us headed up to Shell. We fueled the trucks up and put gas in the genarators. We then headed back to the station. Once there we put the rigs away and then we talked some more. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then I ate a snack while I watched Mythbusters. I went to bed around 02:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 06:48 hours when the pager went off for an accident with rollover in Upper Paxton Township. 20 got out and we were placed in service. I reset the pager and went back to bed. I was rocked out of bed again around 07:28 hours when the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Community General Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate lunch while I watched TV. I then got on the PS2 and played Outlaw Golf 2. I ate dinner while I played. I left the house around 17:00 hours and headed back into the shed. Once there, I waited for Bill and the other people to show up. Dohn and Carol showed up, and Bill was a few seconds behind. We loaded all the candy up and went down to the Post Office and set up shop. We saw Amanda out with Alf and Matt, and we talked with them for a little bit. House and Michelle showed up with Josh. He was dressed up as a 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke. He was so cute looking. We ran out of candy by 19:15 hours. We then headed back to the shed. I called Sue and told her that we were done, and then we talked for a little bit. I stood out back and she honked her horn as she went by the shed, while we were talking. I then headed up to Giant and picked up a few things and then headed for home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. It's Starting to get Cold Out

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then headed in to the "Barn" to help Bill bag candy for trick or treat night. We spent most of the afternoon in there. Viv stopped in and the three of us talked for a little bit and then she left and headed on home. Bill had to leave a little after 17:00 hours to head home, so I stayed and finished up the bags. Sue then called me and her, me and Bill talked for about 20 minutes on the phone until she got home. I finished up around 18:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate my dinner of steak and watched TV. I then got on the computer around 20:00 hours. I left around 20:42 hours and headed into town to get my hair cut. After I was done in there, I ran up to Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. Another Busy Day

Went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 07:45 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Carol was already there and was pulling 13-2 out. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then went over to Shell and got disiel. We then headed back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then talked with my mother. Around 12:09 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Millersburg Borough. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Carol's house. I got there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and Jim was already there. This guy fell out of bed, and ended up shiting himself while he sat on the floor. He had shit all down his right leg and all over the floor. Carol helped his daughter clean him up and I called county and had them dispatch Millersburg Fire Company to the scene for lifting assistance. We got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We were coming down the north side of Peters Mountain, when the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Township. We went available and responding. We got there and the guy cut his foot open on the sink, and there was blood all over the kitchen floor. We got him loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. I talked to Steph both times that I was down there at Harrisburg. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Carol dropped me off at her house and I picked my car up and headed back into the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and did the paperwork from the two calls. Kim then showed up and then Carol showed up with 13-2. Me and Kim then headed out to the football field to cover the JV game. Kim and me had a long discussion on the way things are going in at the ambulance. At half time I went over and got something to eat. After the game was over, we went back to the shed. Most everyone was there, and sitting in the bay. They had already started the special meeting on the by-laws. I logged my time in and then went to my car to leave. As I was pulling out, Sue pulled in, so I turned around in the parking lot and pulled up beside her car and we talked for a few minutes. I then headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then played on the PS2 for a little bit. I am soon going to crash in bed as I am tired.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA!!!

Went to bed last night around 12:30 hours. I layed in bed and tossed and turned as I could not get to sleep. I finally drifted off to sleep around 02:30 hours. I woke up around 03:45 hours and decided to just get up. So I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I left the house around 04:06 hours and headed up to the fire station. I got there and parked my car. I then went inside and put my gear in the Utility. I then pulled the Engine out, pulled the Utility out and put the Engine back in the station. I then headed into town. I stopped at Shell and grabbed something to eat and drink. I then headed over to Station 29. I was the first one there, so I parked the Utility beside the one bay door. Sami Pottiger then showed up and let me in the station. Warren then showed up. It was just the three of us until LeeAnn and Katina showed up. Alfie then showed up next followed by Carol, Sue, Susie and some more people. Once Charlie got there, we started loading up the trailer with stuff. We then got the tractor hooked up to the chicken trailer and we hooked the rooaster trailer up to the Utility. We then lla headed out to the high school. We got there and got the trailers set up. Bill met us there and so did Amanda. At this time I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AMANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got everything unloaded from the trailer and set up. We then got the charcoal on and going, and then got the chickens on the racks. Amanda and Sami then ran up to Sheetz and picked up some coffee for some people. It was a COLD, COLD, COLD morning. Me and Amanda then went to McDonald's in the utility and picked up some food for some people. We talked while we drove up and while we waited for the food. We then headed on back. We got the chickens off by 09:30 hours, and then it turned into a waiting game. We mostly stood around and tried to stay warm any way that we could. It stated picking up around 10:20 hours. Around 11:30 hours, Charlie sent Cody Pottiger with me in the Utility, along with 30 meals, out to my devlopment to try and sell some. No sooner had I left, they got over wheelmed in there, and Charlie ended up calling us back. We got back and they were right, it was busy. We made 416 chicken half's and we sold all out. Amanda left before we finished, cause she had to take food to someone. Sue then left as we were tearing down, as she had to get home to wrap Amanda's gifts. After we finished tearing down, a few of us went back to Station 29 to help them clean up. After we were done in there, and as I was leaving, Amanda stopped in to see Sami. She was all dressed up and on her way down to Harrisburg. I said goodbye to her and then I got in the Utility and headed back out to the fire station. Once there, I unloaded my gear, and then Dave and Holly stopped. Dave pulled the Engine out and I backed the Utility in, and he put the Engine back in. We talked for a little bit and then we left. As I was leaving, Bubba was walking up towards the fire station, so I stopped and we talked for a few minutes. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and read the paper while I watched the race. Jimmie Johnson won the race at Martinsville. I then went back to my room and laid down in bed to take a nap until 18:00 hours. I had my mother wake me up at 18:00 hours, and I went over and took a shower. I then ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Another Game in the Books

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. I then made lunch and sat down to watch the Penn State game. The game was good. We played very sloppy in the begining. But, we picked it up after half time. We ended up beating Illinois 26-12. After that I got on the PS2 and played a game of college football against my father. I then ate dinner and played a game of college football by myself on the PS2. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be going to bed around midnight tonight, since I have the Chicken BBQ tomorrow morning to be up early for.

The Hot Medic

First off I want to wish a Happy Anniversary to my parents today.

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed a little after 07:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems at Daylsis 2000 in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and went inside and pulled 13-1 out and waited for Dohn to show up. Once Dohn showed up, we went responding. We got up there and got the guy loaded and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. We picked up Perry Medic 81 along the way and she rode down with us. Boy was she ever HOT!!!!!!! Too bad she is married. While we were on our way down, the pager went off for chest pains on Second Street in Halifax Borough. Carol and Susie handeled that call. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at her squad and McDonald's and then we went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and started my paperwork from the call. I started doing my narrative, when the pager went off for a sick person at Polk Assisted Living, in Millersburg Borough. Dohn was still at the station, so we both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded and we headed up to Pottsville General. While we were on that call, the pager went off for breathing problems on Front Street in Halifax Borough. Carol and Susie handeled that call also. After we got what we needed up there, we stopped at KFC to grab something to eat for lunch, and then headed on back. As we were coming through Eville, the pager went off for abdominal pains on Matamoras Road in Halifax Township. We went available and responding, and then 13-2 went responding. We let Carol and Susie handle the call since they were closer then us. We then headed to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then finished my paperwork from the first call and then did the paperwork on the second call. After I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then helped my father load TV's into the back of his truck, so they could take them down to HACC tomorrow for the recycling day. I then got on the computer to do somethings. I ate dinner while I was online. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. A Slow Day and a Busy Day

Went to bed Tuesday night around 02:30 hours and was woken up around 07:45 hours when the phone rang. It was Poly calling about my hearing aid. They said it was done and that I could pick it up whenever I wanted to. I then went back to sleep and got up around 10:20 hours. I got up and called down to Drexel and they said that they take walk in's and that I could come in that day. So I quickly got changed into nice clothes, let my mother know that where I was going and then headed on down to lower county. I first stopped at Poly and picked up my hearing aid. I then went over to Drexel which is in Camp Hill. Once there I filled paperwork out and then talked to someone. I was out of there in about one hour. I then headed on home. I stopped at Pizza Hut on Front Street on the way home to eat lunch. I had the lunch buffet, soooooooooooo good. Once I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then got on the computer to do some things. I ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then left the house around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire station to help with bingo. As I was cleaning up after bingo, the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township, in the area of Sheetz. I got in my car and headed to the "Barn". I got there and parked my car and headed inside as Scott pulled up. We both got in 13-1 and off we went. The lady was in a broken down car that was sitting in the lot of Reinhard's. Amanda and Kim were already there. It ended up being a refusal and the 4 of us, plus the PSP trooper talked for a little bit. Amanda told me she had to drop Kim off at home. I asked her to stop at the shed on her way home, so she could open up her gifts. Me and Scott were sitting at the red light, when the pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Reed Township at the Clark's Ferry Bridge. We made a U-turn and headed down that way. We got as far as Aumiller's when Perry County placed us in service. So we turned around and headed back to the station. Once there I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the refusal. I then waited for Amanda to show up. She showed up at 22:30 hours. I gave her, her gifts and she opened them up and then we talked for about 30 minutes. She hugged me and thanked me and then I headed on home. Once at home I ate a snack and watched Mythbusters.

Medic 6 ended up handling the call since we could not get out second unit out. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then stopped at Shell to get disiel. We then headed back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then started my paperwork from the call, when the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. I saved my tripsheet and then got in 13-1 and waited for Dohn to show up. Once he showed up we went responding. Once at the scene, we got the guy loaded and headed on down to Community General Osteo Hospital. Before we left the driveway at the house, the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. Medic 6 handeled that call also. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then finished the paperwork for my first call and then did the paperwork from this call. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then headed down to County for EMA training. I left there around 21:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Giant and picked up some popsicles and a anniversary card for my parents. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a snack. Rainy Day Off

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and weighed myself this morning and I lost 3 pounds. I then got changed into street clothes and read the paper. I then ate a light lunch. I then got some things together to head up to Millersburg. I left the house around 13:20 hours and stopped at the fire station and picked up my gear and then headed on up to Millersburg. I got to Keith and Michelle's house around a little after 13:30 hours. Me and house then started playing a game of college football on his PS2. Bill then showed up around 15:00 hours and he then ran to the store to pick up some things for the cook out. Me and house then paused the game just after half time so he could start the grill up and start cooking the hot dogs and hamburgers. Michelle then got home and we all sat down and ate. We then played cards. Around 18:30 hours the pager went off for and overdose in Halifax Borough. I first called Sue to make sure she heard the call, and she said her and Amanda were heading to the "Barn". I then called Deb and Kim's house and the phone was busy. Well about 2 minutes later, Deb called my cell phone and told me that Kim was sick and she did not realize that he was on call until the pager went off, and she asked me to find a replacement for him. Needles to say, I was pissed. And so was Sue and Amanda. Dohn ended up going on the call with them, after I had to frantcially call around to try and find someone. Well we endedup dropping a second call cause I could not find a second person for the second crew. We finished cards around 22:30 hours and Bill left and headed on home. Me and house finished our game of football. I won, beating him as Miami, 109-69. I then left and headed on home. I stopped at the shed and did my tripsheet from yesterday, and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to crash in bed as I am tired.

Chlorine Leak

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then read the paper. I made lunch and got on the computer. I got only one bite of my sandwich, when the pager went off for a Haz-Mat incident in Upper Paxton Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and parked my car and Dohn pulled in right behind me. We both got in 13-1 and off we went. We stagged at two different places, with the final one being the spot we were at for alomst 2 hours. After the incident was cleared, we headed back to the shed. Dohn dropped me off and went home. I logged my time in and started my paperwork, when the pager went off for bleeding in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. Dohn told me to pull 13-2 out, cause 13-1 was low on disiel. We got up there and got the lady loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. Saw Steph at the hospital and talked with her for a little bit. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Dohn dropped me off again and I logged my time in and finished my Haz-Mat tripsheet. I then ran up to Giant and got a some things and then headed on home. Once at home I finished my sandwich and then got ready for the meeting tonight. I headed up to the fire station, and once up there, I helped Bubba unload some things he had on his trailer. We then had the meeting, and afterwards we went down to the fire station and talked. I then got a call from the Keeifer house, asking me to come over and take a look at his mother's leg, cause she was having pain in it. So I got out there and took a look at her leg and had her call her family doctor. He told her to go down to the ER and they asked me to call for the ambulance. Bill and Scott came out and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. I then went back to the fire station and talked some more. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. A Boring Sunday

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and took a shower. I then changed into street clothes and read the paper. I did not eat lunch again today as I was not hungary. I then got on the computer to do some things. Bill and Scott have had a busy day so far today, with at least 3 calls that I know of. I am a little depressed right now, having one of those weekends. I am getting ready to eat dinner and also to hit the old email and surf the net. Another Loss

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. I talked with Bill for a little bit. I then called Sue and got the name of that temp agency off of her and took a look online for jobs. It is slim pickings. I am probally going to call Drexel on Monday to set up an appointment. I then ate dinner, since I skipped lunch while I was on the computer. I then got off to watch the Penn State game. We lost to Michigan, 17-10. Michigan took out two of our quarterbacks for the game. I got on the computer during half time to do a few things and I also talked to Sue for a little bit, until the start of the third quarter. I then watched the rest of the game. The Oh Shit Call

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:20 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems at the intersection of Powell's Valley Road and Price Road. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to the "Barn". I got there and pulled in behind Dohn. We both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got to the scene and the guy was sitting in the back of the van. We got him in the back of the unit and that was when things went south. He started spitting up foam, so we suctioned his mouth out. He then stopped breathing and Dohn started bagging him, and then we lost pulses on the guy. So I started doing CPR. I did CPR one handed as I called Sue and asked her if she was busy. When she said that she was not, I asked her if she could go down to the hospital, cause was had a code on our hands. She said that she would meet us at the end of her road. We picked her up and she got on and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. It was a good learning expierence for her. I sat in the back of the unit with her on the way home so we could talk. We dropped her off at her car and then dropped the medic off at his squad. We then went back to the shed. Once there we restocked the ambulance and I logged my time in and did my paperwork. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then ate lunch and got on the computer to do some things. I left at 18:00 hours and headed into the high school for the football game tonight. I got there and parked and took my trumpet up to the stands and then went over and got something to eat. I stopped to talk to some people when Sue and Amanda came walking over. So I walked with them and then talked to Amanda while she waited in line for some food. I then went back over with them and talked until the band was done playing. We sucked big time and lost to Millersburg. I went back over and talked some more with Sue and Amanda during half time and third quarter, I also saw house walking around. I then headed out to the shed to help Sue with the tripsheet she had to do. I got there and they were running around cause they had to go back to 5th quarter, cause Bill and Dohn took someone down to Harrisburg Hospital. So I typed Sue's tripsheet for her, and then she told me what to write for the narrative. They then got a call for and odor investigation in Halifax Township. That was just a stand by. They then went back to 5th quarter. Meanwhile, I headed on home, and once at home I took a shower and got on the computer to do some things. They then got dispatched for and assult victim at the Sheetz in Halifax Township. That was a refusal and Sue, Amanda and Kim went available. I am going to crash in bed soon as I am really tired.

Fire Prevention

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 06:30 hours when I could no longer sleep. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then got changed into street clothes and ate breakfast. Bill then called me and told me that he was not feeling well and would not be up to take pictures at the school today. He told me I could pick his camera up and then drop it back off when I was finished with it. So I left the house and ran over to Bill's and picked his camera up and then went back to the fire station. I got there and Bubba and Lyle were already there. I put my gear in the Utility and then we waited on Robbie to show up. Once he got there, we took all three pieces over to Enders-Fisherville Elementary School for fire prevention. We parked all three pieces at the start of the loop out front and Bubba and Jean went around back to talk to the kids first. I drove the Utility, Lyle the Engine and Robbie the Tanker. All three of us put our bunker pants on and then waited for our pagers to go off. Once they went off, we went around back with lights and sirens on. We parked the rigs and then Lyle put an air pack on to show the kids what a firefighter looks like. We then showed them the rigs. We then repeated the process for the second group. After we were done there, we ran into Shell and got disiel for all of the trucks. We then headed on back out to the fire station. Sue was already at the high school football field for special olympics when we went by. I ran Bill's camera back to his house and dropped it off, and then went back to the fire station. I backed the Utility in and then the four of us talked for awhile, and then we all left. I then headed over to Matt Danner's house, since he sent me a message last night, asking me to stop by some time, cause he wanted to talk. I was there for about 2-1/2 hours and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and I just finished eating dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Long Two Days

Went to bed Monday night around 02:00 hours and got out of bed around 07:30 hours. I called down to Poly about getting in to have my hearing aid looked at, and they told me to be down there by 09:45 hours. So I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then left and headed on down to Poly. I got down there and had the doctor look at my hearing aid. It has to be sent out again to be repaired, so I will be going without a hearing aid for about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and got on the PS2 and played two games of college football. I played Michigan and Minnesota. I ate dinner while I was on the PS2. I then left around 18:15 hours to head up to Millersburg. I stopped at the fire house and grabbed my gear and put it in my trunk. I then headed up to the Casey's house. I got up there and Bill was not there yet, so me and house played a quick game of college football on his PS2. Bill then showed up and me and house went and picked up the pizza. We had a long night of cards, and I did not leave until around 01:45 hours. While I was there playing cards, it was around 01:40 hours, the pager went off for back pains in Jackson Township. I called Kim to make sure he was up and then I called Sue and we talked until she got to the "Barn" and then we hung up and they went responding. As I was heading home, I had just come out of Millersburg, Sue got on the radio and asked county to dispatch Company 216 for lifting assistance. I put my blue light on and hauled ass out to the fire station. I was expecting the engine to be gone when I got there, but it was not. I pulled in the same time as Kevin did. He pulled the engine out, while I got my gear out of my trunk and put it on and then I pulled the Utility out and we took that to the scene and met Robbie there. We helped Sue and Kim get the guy moved out of the bedroom and into the unit. Sue was going to go in the back and I was going to ask Robbie if it was ok with him if I rode down with her, but then Kim said he was going to ride in the back. Sue then followed me out Mountain House Road and out Armstrong Valley Road, until I turned off to go to the fire station. I put the Utility away and Kevin backed the engine in and then we talked for a little bit, and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then crashed in bed around 04:00 hours.

I was rocked out of bed this morning at 10:58 hours when the pager went off for seizures in Upper Paxton Township at BG's Value Market. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Carol was already there and had 13-2 pulled out. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded and Medic 6 went down with us as we headed to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and did my paperwork and then ran up to Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea. I then ran to Rite Aid and picked up two birthday cards and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then got on the computer to do some things. Bubba called me and asked me if I would help at Bingo tonight and I said that I could. I then ate dinner and headed up to the fire station around 17:58 hours. I got up there and talked to Bubba and then helped at Bingo. After Bingo was over, Bubba showed me some of the new equipment that we got and we talked about a few things. I then headed on home around 22:50 hours. Once at home I watched Mythbusters and am now getting ready to crash in bed.

The SLV Special

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and sat down to read the paper. My parents were removing the air conditoners from the window's. Around 11:45 hours the pager went off for breathing problems at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I pulled in behind Dohn and we both got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We were heading back up to Millersburg to drop the medic off at his squad, when the pager went off for bleeding at SLV in Upper Paxton Township, class 1. We got up there and got the guy loaded and headed on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. While we were down there, the pager went off for a another call in Millersburg Borough. Medic 6 ended up handling that one. We stopped at Wendy's and me and the medic grabbed something to eat, and then we continuned on home. We ran the medic up to his sqaud and dropped him off and then headed back to the shed. Once there, Dohn replaced the one M tank and I logged my time in and did my two tripsheets. As I was writing the narrative for my first tripsheet, the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township. Me and Dohn got in 13-1 and off we went. We did not get a chance to leave the station, as 20-1 went responding and we were placed in service. I then finished my narrative and did my other tripsheet. After that I ran up to Giant and picked up a bag of chips and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then I ate a snadwich. Race Day

Went to bed last night around 01:45 hours as I was really tired. I was awoken around 09:00 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for a call somewhere. I don't really remember what it was for as I as really tired and half asleep as I listened to it. I then fell back asleep and was rocked out of bed around 12:15 hours when the pager went off for an unknown problem in Halifax Township. Bill and Kim handeled that call. I then got up and took a shower and then I ate lunch and read the paper. I then sat down to watch the race from Talladega. It was a nice race, not a lot of cautions like there usually is. Jeff got caught up in a wreck late in the race and was pretty much done as he could not keep minamum speed. Jimmie was then wrecked on the last lap by Brian Vickers, his teammate. I ate dinner while I watched the end of the race. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Open House

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 07:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and ate breakfast. I left the house around 08:00 hours and headed into the "Barn". Once in there, I played Solitare on the computer until Bill showed up. Once Bill got there, I helped him get stuff loaded into his truck and then he headed out to Station 29 to set up awhile. Dohn and Carol then showed up and we headed on out to Station 29. Sue and Amanda met us out there. It was kind of slow and there was not much of a crowd this year. Most of us had fun, and we talked a lot. After that was over at 14:00 hours, we headed back to the shed. Bill and myself stayed and Dohn and Carol went home. Sue and Amanda then came out to do there tripsheets. After they were done, we talked a little bit and then we all headed on home. Once at home I talked with my parents for a little bit and then I got on the PS2. I was only on there for a few minutes when the pager went off for an allergic reaction in Halifax Township. I got in my car and headed into the shed. I pulled in behind Dohn and we got in 13-1 and off we went. Company 29 was already there and we got the kid loaded up and headed on down to Hershey with Medic 6. Charlie Bisking rode along down with us as an extra set of hands. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic and Charlie off at Station 29. We then stopped at Shell and got disiel and then headed back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. Charlie then showed up with left over food from the Open House for me to take home. I talked to him for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I got back on the PS2. I was on there for about 45 minutes when the pager went off again for chest pains in Wayne Township. I got back in my car and headed back into the shed. I got there and Scott was already there. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got the lady loaded and met Perry Medic 81 at the Clarks Ferry Bridge and then continued on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in. Me and Scott had just walked out of the office, when the pager went off for a fall victim in Duncannon Borough. We got in 13-1 and went responding, and we were placed in service right away. I then went up to Sheetz and got gas and grabbed something to eat and then headed back to the shed. Once there, I did my paperwork from the call. After I was done, I headed on home. I am soon going to crash in bed as I am tired.

Boots Everywhere

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:30 hours when the pager went off for a fire alarm in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn was already there and was pulling 13-1 out. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and went responding. I then had county ask Command if they still needed EMS, to which they said no and we were in service. I then went up to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and some cat food. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I ate lunch. I then got on the computer to do some things. I got off at 18:00 hours anf got ready for the game tonight. We played Pine Grove and it was homecoming. We won I think it was 19-7. I got to talk to Sue and Amanda during the second half of the second quarter, halftime, and most of the third quarter, until they got a call for chest pains in Halifax Township. I then went back over to the stands and finished the game with the band. I then went back down to the band room and talked with Damon and Aunkst until I left and headed on home. Accidcent in Town

I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Carol already had 13-1 pulled out. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the girl loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. I am now eating dinner and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Happy Hump Day

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and I got out of bed this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do some things. I then left around 14:30 hours and headed into town. I stopped at Rite Aid and dropped a perscription, and then I went out to the "Barn" to help bill put calander's in the bags for the open house saturday. Once we finished we talked a little bit, and then the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township at Troutman's. I pulled 13-1 out and then waited for Dohn to show up. Once Dohn showed up we went responding. We got there and the guy was laying on the sidewalk, with a puddle of vomit beside him on the black top. Once we got him loaded, we took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once at the shed, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then left and went to Rite Aid and picked up my medication and then stopped at McDonald's and got something to eat for dinner. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate and got on the computer. Joint Training

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and I read the paper and then I ate lunch. I then got dressed and me and my mother got in my car and we headed on down to Abel Personel. I went there today to try and see if they can find me a temp to hire job. I was there for about one hour. I spent most of that time filling paperwork out and doing test, and then they talked to me for about 5 to 10 minutes. After that, we headed over to Costco to get a flu shot. Well, we waited in line for 2 hours and 3 minutes to get a flu shot. We got out of there 3 minutes after 17:00 hours. We then headed on home. Once I got at home, I changed shirts and shoes, grabbed a soda and a pack of crackers, and then left to head into Station 29 for joint training tonight. I stopped up at the fire house and grabbed all my gear and then headed into 29's station. I got there and went inside and talked. Bill then showed up and sat in his truck. Sue and Amanda then showed up and I went outside and talked to sue. Everything is cool between us, so I am happy now. Once everyone else showed up, we gave Kim her baskets and then we went over each other's pieces. We then went out back to cut up a car. I got in my gear and we went out back. I got to start cutting the windshield, and then it started to rain and we all went inside until it passed. We then went back outside and we got to play with the cutters and the Jaws. The fire company let some of us get a feel for the tools. Sue and Amanda looked like natural's when they were using the tools. I got to cut the "B" post on the passenger's side and I also got to pop the passenger's side door. We then rolled the dash on the car. After that we cleaned up and then we sat around and talked some. I left there around 22:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and something to eat, as I was really starting to feel the effect of not having any dinner. I then stopped at the Giant, but they did not have my chips, so I then headed on home. I stopped at the fire station and dropped my gear off and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to crash in bed as I am tired.

Fire Company Meeting

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then ran into Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then went back down to Rite Aid and sat in the parking lot and talked to Bill. I then got my medication and then ran over to Giant and got 2 gallons of iced tea. I then headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer and ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then headed up to the fire hosue for the meeting tonight. A lot was discusses at the meeting. After the meeting, some of us went down to the fire house to talk. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Still A Little Depressed

Went to bed last night around 03:40 hours and got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. My mother came home around 13:40 hours and I helped her bring stuff in from the car. Then all 3 of us setteled down to watch the race from Kansas Motor Speedway. It was a good race with lots of two and three wide racing all over the track. The points standing got mixed up once again. Jeff Gordon had a fuel pump problem with under 30 laps to go and did not finish. Jimmie Johnson finished in 14th place after making a late pit stop for gas and for getting caught, speeding off of pit road. I ate dinner while the race was on. Tony Stewart ended up winning the race, when he coasted across the finish line, due to him running out of gas. After the race was over, I took a shower.
