My Year End Review

I went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then went up to Elizabethville to the Wal-Mart hiring center and filled out an application. After I was done I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then ate lunch while I got on the PS2 and played Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories. I also ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I got off at 18:00 hours and got changed into my uniform for the night. LeeAnn called and said that if my mom wanted to make her famous fudge to bring tomorrow night that would be good. I then put my boots on and got in my car and ran into Giant and got a jar of peanut butter for the fudge and headed back home. I had just walked in my room when the pager went off for back pains in Halifax Borough. I got back in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Carol had 13-2 pulled out already. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got the guy loaded up and took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once at the station, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy laides want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Now on to my Year End Review.
The year 2006 did not start out to good for us. First our fridge broke, followed by my father having a flat tire on his truck, and then our well pump broke, and that was all within the first week of January. The rest of January was quiet, and so was February for the most part. Then came March. March 9th, saw the destruction of 4 row homes on South Second Street in Halifax, one of the largest fires in recent history. A few weeks later they had a rail car fire. May saw my being barred from driving the ambulance, and it also saw me turn 21. June saw me take second place for Best Appearing Special Unit at the Dauphin County Firemen's Convention with the Utility. The rest of the year was unremarkeable. I met the Casey's in August at the Halifax Firemen's Carnival. My brother turned 30 in September. October saw my father quit the ambulance after giving 25 years to them. November saw us eat Thanksgiving out for the first time in years. December 1st saw a tornado rip through the Triangle are of Halifax, creating a a 8 mile long stretch of destruction. December also saw our first annual fire company chirstmas party. I won most improved firefighter, top responder third place, and most trainings second place. It also saw the first christmas at my grandparents house where we did not exchange gifts. This also marked my second year of playing Santa Christmas Eve with the fire company. It marked my first year playing Santa for the fire companies annual Santa meeting. And now another year is drawing to a close. I have started driving the ambulance home from the hospitals and soon should be approved to full driver status. The year 2007 will bring many unknowns. One of the knowns will be a Wal-Mart in Elizabethville. I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe New Year!

The Year is Winding Down

Went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 07:40 hours when the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Sue was already there and had 13-1 sitting outside. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and Scott and Dohn showed up also to help. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we unloaded the Pt., Sue and me went to the cafe and she got a cup of coffee and a cookie and then she bought my water, apple juice and got me a cookie for breakfast also. We then got the buffer and headed on back. She told me that she was having Dohn cover for her the rest of the day because Bob wanted to go shopping since they could not after Christmas. We got back to the shed and she put the unit away and we talked for a little bit. I then logged my time in and started my tripsheet. I was halfway through my narrative, when the pager went off for bleeding in Halifax Township. I pulled 13-2 out and then waited for Dohn to show up. Once he got there, he got in 13-2 and off we went. Our medic came from the city and once we got the lady loaded, we took her down to Community General Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and finished my first tripsheet and then did my second one. After I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things and my mother wanted to look at a website also. Around 15:30 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Borough. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and Chief 29-3 and his wife were on scene already since they live right next door. Once again our medic was coming from the city. It was the same medic we had earlier in this morning. We got the guy loaded up and met the medic at the high school and then headed on down to Community General Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back to Dohn's house. Once there I got my car and headed back into the shed. Amanda was at the station when I got there. I logged my times in and then helped her with her two tripsheets. We then talked for a little bit and then she left and I did the paperwork from my call. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and grabbed something to eat. I then went to Giant and got two bottles of the Welche's Sparkling Red Grape juice for Sunday night. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Hey You With the Big Floppy Lips!

Went to bed Tuesday night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for a diabetic problem in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Dohn already had 13-1 out. I parked my car and got in and off we went. We got up there and it ended up being a refusal. After that we headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. I left the house at 12:30 hours and headed over to Bill's to drop off his gifts from Sue and Amanda. I got there and called his cell phone and told him I was out front in his driveway. I got out of the car and after five minutes of waiting, his mother came to the front door. I took the bag of gifts over to her and she gave me his camera. I talked to her for a few minutes and then headed to the fire house. I got there and LeeAnn was already there. We stood inside and talked for a little bit. We then decided to call Bubba and ask him if we could start washing the Utility. He told us that he was putting his washing machine back together and then he would be up. He told us that we could start on the Utility, but to wash it inside. So LeeAnn pulled the Engine out and then I moved the Utility over and then she shut the bay door. We then washed the Utility. I got a little wetter then I thought I would. Bubba then showed up as we were finishing the Utility. I then ran home and got an extra set of clothes and then went back up to the fire station. I got back up there and Bubba was starting to wash the Tanker. LeeAnn then ran into McDonald's and got something for herself to eat and I had her pick me up something. When she got back I then ate and then Bubba finished washing the Tanker and backed the Engine in. Me and LeeAnn then washed the Engine. I then changed into my dry clothes and ran my wet clothes home. I then ran back up to the fire house and we then waited for everyone to show up. Once everyone showed up we got our seating assignments. Bubba and Robbie were in the Tanker, me and Andy were in the Utility and my dad drove the Engine, with Lonny, LeeAnn, Troy and Helen a,so in the Engine. We left the fire house at 17:30 hours and stopped at McDonald's so Bubba and a few people could get something to eat. I got a vanilla milk shake and a five piece chicken strips. We then stopped at Shell and Bubba and Robbie got tea and then we continued on down to the gas terminal. We were the first company there. The next company was Citizens of Mechanicsburg, then New Kingston, and then Silver Springs. We ran into Steppler, a Paramedic from 6, who runs with New Kingston. My father and me talked to him before class started. They showed us their onsite foam system and the different trailers that they use. They then showed us the rack, where the trucks get filled. We then got to go into one of those hugh storage tanks that was just recently finished. We got to see the inner workings of the tank. We then got to see the fire action plan that the company put together for the local fire companies. After that they provided a big box of doughnuts for us to eat, and most of us went in and had one or two. We then headed on back home. Once out on the highway, I got tired of being mehind my father in the slow Engine, so I told Andy to hold on and we passed the Engine with the Utility. We all stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the fire station. Once there a lot of us sat around and talked and then people slowly started to leave. Me, Andy, Troy and Robbie ended up staying and talking to almost 23:30 hours before we all left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then watched Mythbusters. I went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:00 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Reed Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and then we were cancelled. I then came back inside and changed and went back to sleep. I got up around 11:00 hours and got out of bed and got dressed again. I then read the paper and watched a little TV. I then got on the PS2 and played Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories until 16:45 hours. I then got off and made dinner and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. At 17:30 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in front of Giant. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed for the shed, I got there and Dohn already had the unit out. I parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. It ended up being a refusal, but boy did the guy ever mess his car up. He hit the back of a tractor trailer. We then went back to the station and I logged my time in. As I finished printing my times out, the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. Me and Dohn got back in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital. While we were on our way down there, the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Township at Giant. Amanda and Carol took that one and went to Hershey. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from my two calls. I then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things. At 22:05 hours the pager went off for another accident with injuries in Halifax Township, in front of the Bible church and just above the station. I got in my car and headed to the scene. I parked my car in the church parking lot and then went over to help out. 13-1 and 13-2 were already on scene along with Alf. I got in the back seat of the car to hold C-Spine. As I was getting in the back seat, I put my right hand down into a pile of glass. I only got a small cut, but it could have been worse. We got the girl backboard and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. While on the was back, Scott called my cell phone and told me that Company 29 was doing a search party on Dunkle School Road and Suckers Lane for one of their junior members, who usually rides his four wheeler to another fire company members house, had not returned home yet. He told us that they would set off the tones when they found him. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then went out and I picked up my car and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then headed on home. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

The Day After

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got online and sent an email to Carol asking her to cover for me tomorrow. I then read the paper and watched a little TV. I then ate lunch while I was on the computer to do somethings. I got off the computer at 14:00 hours and got on the PS2 and played Driv3r until 17:00 hours. I then got off and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then got back on the computer to do some more things. Around 18:45 hours the fire pager went off for a work detail at the fire house. I got changed into street clothes and then headed up to the fire house. I got there and LeeAnn, Bubba, Helen and Bruce were already there. Eventually Lonny, Robbie and Andy all showed up. We put the 5" back on the Engine and mounted some equipment in compartments and put some hose straps on the trash line on the Tanker. Everyone slowly left. Me, LeeAnn, and Bubba then sat and talked for a little bit and then we all headed on home. Once at home I ate a snack and got back on the PS2 and played some more Driv3r. I am soon going to bed as I am tried.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 08:30 hours. I got out of bed and took the families gifts out and also my gifts from Sue, Amanda and Bill. We then went through and opened our gifts. My brother got me a $20.00 gift card to Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Bill got me a Mythbusters T-Shirt and a book on Grumman apparatus. Sue and Amanda got me all Bills stuff, a T-Shirt, a football ornament, a skull cap, a head pillow, a coffe mug, and a 20Q game. My parents got me boxers, boot socks, two calanders, two books on firefighting, a volunteer fireman belt buckle, a PEZ, slippers, peanuts, a clock, some fire stuff to sit around, and 4 games for the PS2. My brother got the family an Atari game that you plug into the TY and it has the old paddles and it has I believe it is 12 retro games. After we were done opening gifts, I read the paper and my brother showed my father how to work the Atari game. After I was done reading the paper, my brother left to head back down to the grandparents house and me and my dad played the atari game until 11:45 hours. We then got off and I got changed into street clothes. We then loaded the car up and headed on down to my grandparents house for dinner. We got down there and ate dinner with my grandfather fabouls ham. After dinner we sat in the living room and talked. We then ate desert and then myself, my brother, mother, father and grandmother played a new food trivia game that we got for Christmas this year. We left down there a little before 18:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the PS2 to try 3 of my new games. I am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired as it was a long day. Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Santa on the Engine

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper and ate a light breakfast. I then called Sue and she told me to come over at 13:00 hours to exchange gifts. So I got dressed at 12:30 hours and headed to her house. I got there and visited for about 2 hours. I talked to Sue while she wrapped and watched a little of the Steelers game. We then exchanged gifts and they went to the Dollar Store and I stopped at Sheetz and got gas. I then stopped at Giant and got some Cool Whip for my mother and then headed on home. Once at home I had the leftover pizza from last night while I got on the computer to do some things. I then put my suit in the car and headed up to the firehouse at 16:30 hours. I got up there and Lonny, LeeAnn, and Katina were all there. I took the suit inside and we sat around and talked for a little bit. Lyle then showed up also. At 17:00 hours, we got the chair on top ot the Engine and whitey stopped back in to put the finishing touches on the sound system on the Utility. I then got dressed and then Robbie and his girlfriend showed up. We pulled the Engine and Utility out of the station and I got on top and we got the flood lights all set up and then we went around Fisherville. I then got off and we went to the two devlopments off of Powell's Valley Road. I then got off again and we went to my devlopment and we went around. I then got off and we went over to Jean's granddaughters house and stopped. I got a plate of cookies and talked with her for a few minutes. We then headed over to another stop that we had to make. We went down Enders Grove Road and we got halfway down and Robbie said we should have put me on top to go by the strip of houses. So he said we would turn around at the Grove. Well we made the lope in the park but when we came out at the other end, the wheel chocks and front step hit the pavement. The end result was the wheel chocks were ripped off and the front step was bent. We teased Robbie about it. We then went back down the road and turned around and I got up on top and we went past the houses. We then continued on to our other stop, We got there and I got down off the Engine and talked to a large group of kids. I then went inside with my sack of gifts (given to us by the family) and sat down and handed the gifts out to all the kids and they had their picture taken with Santa. We then left and headed back up their lane. Once out on Enders Road, I got in the cab and asked Robbie if we were heading over to Enders or not. He said that we were, and I told him that we were headed the wrong way. So we turned around and stopped at Enders-Fisherville Elementary School. I got out and stretcher and then David and Holly joined us. We then went through Enders and down one of the side streets. Well, when I am up on top of the Engine, my glasses steam up and I can't see that good. Anyways, I was sitting there waving, when all of a sudden I turn around and there was a tree branch in my face. I only had time to semi-duck and cover my face. I came out of it ok, but it knocked my hat off and it landed on the hose bed cover behind me. Dave radioed Robbie to stop so Santa could get his hat. I got that hat and we continued on the way. We stopped and I got out again and we then went over to the devlopment off of Miller Road and Oak Ridge. That devlopment was the longest time I was on top and towards the end I started to get cold. I then got off when we were done there and we hit one more devlopment off of Powell's Valley Road. We then went into Shell and got fuel for the trucks and the generators. I stood out front and waved to passing cars. We then headed back to the fire house. Once there I changed and we got everything off of the trucks. We also found out that Lyle had messed up the tailgate on the Utility. Robbie fixed it and now it works. Robbie, his girlfriend and Katina all left. Me, LeeAnn, Lyle and Lonny all stayed and sat and talk and ate cookies. We all left after 23:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the sack as I am tired.

One More Day to go

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed at 03:42 hours when the pager went off for an unconscious person in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Sue was already there and had pulled 13-1 out. I parked my car and shut the bay door and got in the unit nad off we went. I have been to the place before for the guy and knew he was a diabetic. We had Perry Medic 81 coming over. We got there and went up to the bedroom and then Perry Medic 81 showed up. The medic pumped him full of Dextrose and then the Pt. refused to go down to the hospital. While we were there, the pager went off again for heart problems in Wayne Township. We went available and Bill asked us if we were going to take it or if we wanted them to take it. I told them to go ahead and respond and we would continue in since we had Perry Medic 81 behind us. Well we ended up beating 13-2 there, so we took the call. We got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and we both went inside. I got something to eat for breakfast and Sue grabbed a coffee. We then went over to Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then ate breakfast and did my two tripsheets. I left there around 08:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I collapsed in bed and slept until 12:00 hours. I got up and got changed into street clothes and then ran into Rite Aid to have my perscription filled that came in the mail. I then ran over to Giant and got a gallon of iced tea and some chips. I then went back over and picked up my medication and headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer for a little bit and then folded towels. I then loaded the gifts in my car and headed up to Millersburg. I stopped at the fire house and grabbed my gear and then continued up to Millersburg. I stopped at the store and grabbed some soda and chips and then went to the Casey's house to play cards. I exchanged gifts with Bill and we letf there a little after 23:00 hours and I headed on home. I dropped my gear off at the fire house and then headed home. I am getting ready to hit the sack as I am really tired.

The Engine is back

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:10 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. 20 got out and we were cancelled. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I was then rocked out of bed again around 07:45 hours when the pager went off for a call in Williamstown. 959 got out and we were cancelled. I once again reset the pager and went back to sleep. I got up around 11:30 hours and got out of bed and got dressed and sat down to read the paper and watch some TV. Toby got on my lap and I sat there until 13:45 hours when the pager went off for a phsycatric person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there and had the unit pulled out. I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We staged at the end of Creek Road and we ended up being placed in service by PSP. We went back to the shed and I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do some things. Then at 16:44 hours the pager went off for an odor of something burning inside at Choice in town. This was followed by the fire pager going off. I got my boots on and got in my car and followed Warren the whole way into the shed. I then turned and in waited for Dohn to show up. He pulled in and parked and asked me if I wanted to drive. I said I couldn't on a class 2 call, he said it was a class 3 call for us, so I said yeah. I got in and started the unit up while Dohn opened up the door. I pulled out and he shut the door and got back in the unit. I pulled out and he turned the lights on saying we were going to use them since it was rush hour traffic. We got there and stagged and I went over and talked to Bruce and Jason who were on the Tanker. We were released and we went back to the shed. I logged my time in and then headed on out. I stopped at the fire station to talk with the guys. I got there and Jean, LeeAnn, Matt, and Kevin were all there. I stood around and talked with them. We then heard Engine 216 placed back in service. We finally figured out where Bruce and Jason went. They got back with the Tanker and Engine and backed them both in the station. Me and LeeAnn wanted to put the hose back in the hose bed tonight. So Jason called Bubba and asked him and Bubba saie he was not sure how he wanted to put the hose back in, so he told us not to put any hose back on the truck. I stayed and talked for about an hour and then we all left. I headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer and ate dinner while I did a few things. Around 20:30 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Jackson Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and parked and went inside and opened the bay door up and started the unit up. Sue then pulled in and parked and got in the unit and pulled it out. I shut the door and got in the unit and off we went. We got there and the guy ended up being a refusal. We left there and ran into Giant so Sue could get a gallon of iced tea and a box of popsicles. We then ran up to Shell and she grabbed a bag of chips. As we were walking out we ran into Troy and talked to him for a few minutes. We then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in while Sue did her tripsheet from the other night. Her and me ended up splitting the box of popsicles. After she did her tripsheet, I did mine and then we sat and talked for a little bit. We then left and I headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

3 More Days to Go

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this monrning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch. I then read the paper and watched a little tv. AT 14:00 hours I swept the floor and emptied trash cans and then got on the computer to do a few things. It was a slow day today with no calls at all. I then made dinner and sat down and watched MASH on TV. I am soon going to go take a shower and will then be back online. After that I will hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Santa at Bingo

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 09:45 hours. I got out of bed and got on the computer and ate breakfast. I went over Sue with the fruit money she owed me. I then got off and read the paper and watched a little TV. After that I got changed into street clothes and then headed into town. I mailed two cards at the Post Office and then stopped at Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription. I then went over to the doctor's office for my appointment. Dr. Little told me that he was going to give me an antiboitc for my cough and a stronger cough medicine. After I was done there, I went back to Rite Aid and dropped off my second perscription and then picked both of my medications up and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and then helped my mother wrap some more gifts for Christmas. I then sat down and watched MASH at 17:00 hours. I then put my suit in my car and headed up to the fire house. I took my suit inside the fire house and then went up to the fire hall. I sold speed ball, 50/50 railroad tracks and 50/50 tickets. I then went down to the fire house to change. I then went up to the fire hall during halftime and handed out oranges to everyone. Santa also gave Jess's ass a nice squeeze. I then went back down to the fire house and changed again and then went back up and finished working bingo. After bingo was over we sat around and talked for a little bit and then I headed on home. I am now getting ready to go watch Mythbusters at 23:00 hours. After that I will be going to bed.

7 More Days to go

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper and then ate lunch while I watched TV. I then helped my mother wrap christmas gifts for about 1-1/2 hours. After that I got on the computer to do a few things. I then got off at 16:50 hours and made dinner. I then sat down and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I get my hair cut at 21:00 hours tonight and then will be back online when I get home. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Gifts have been wrapped

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and watched a little TV. I then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. After I was done eating lunch, I wrapped the christmas gifts that I am giving to my family and friends. I took me about close to 1-1/2 hours to wrap all the gifts. Around 14:30 hours I would say it was, the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Kim Stout was already there. I parked my car and we both went inside and she opened the bay door up as we were waiting on Carol to show up. Carol showed up and we all got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and went inside the house and got the kid loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital along with Medic 6. After we got what we needed, I drove on home. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. Bill and Viv were there when we got back. I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and watched MASH on TV. After MASH was over, I took a shower as I was off duty. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Only 8 more days

Went to bed Friday night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed Saturday morning at 06:50 hours when the pager went off for bleeding in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Scott was already there and sitting in 13-1. I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and the lady's IV came out. It ended up being a refusal. I then drove back to the shed and logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and started to read the paper. Patty Kolva that called the house and talked to my father about her mother. He got off the phone and told me that Patty's mother had fallen again and had hurt her left ankle and they wanted me to take a look at it. I went over and took a look at it and told her that she should go down to the hospital, which she agreeded to do. So I had Patty call 911 and I called Scott to give him a heads up. We took her down to Osteo and I drove back. We stopped at the shed and logged our times in and then we ran out to my car. After I got my car, I ran home and picked up my schedule and then went back into the shed to do my two tripsheets. After I did them, I ran to the Giant and picked up two things for my father and then headed on home. I stopped at the fire house cause I saw Robbie's truck setting outside. Robbie and Bubba were there. I walked in and they said that they were just talking about calling me cause the computer was acting up. I fixed the problem and then LeeAnn showed up and the 4 of us talked for a little bit, and then I headed on home. Once at home I finished reading the paper and then got on the computer to do some things. I left the house at 18:00 hours to head up to Millersburg for cards. I stopped at the fire house and picked up my gear and saw Patty standing outside. So I pulled up beside her and we talked for about 20 minutes. I then continued on up to Millersburg. I then stopped at BG's and got chips and soda and plates for up at cards and then headed to the Casey's house. I got there and Bill was already there. We then ordered out and sat and talked until the pizza's and sub's got there. We then ate and then played a game of Pahse 10 and Uno Attack. Me and Bill then left the house a little after 24:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at the fire station and dropped my gear off and then headed on home. Once at home I talked to my mother for a little bit and then I went to bed as I was really tired. I got up this morning at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch and got on the computer to do a few things before heading up to the fire house for the afternoon. I left the house at 12:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for Boyd's Bear Bingo. I got up there and LeeAnn and Katina were already there. I went inside and we talked for awhile and then Bubba showed up. We then went down to the fire house and Bubba put the report in from the call on Friday night and we talked some more and then headed up to the hall around 13:00 hours. Bingo went ok, the crowd was a little smaller then we had hoped for. After Bingo was over, Bubba called a work detail. It was Bubba, me, LeeAnn, Katina, Lonny, and Jason. Andy and Robbie showed up later. We took all the hose out of the hose bed along with the other stuff that was in it. After that we all sat around and talked for awhile and then Andy left, followed by Robbie and Jason. Then the 4 of us talked a little bit more and then we all headed towards home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Santa at the Fire Hall

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then watched some TV. After that I ate lunch while I got on the computer for a little bit. I then went downstairs with my mother and got some christmas gifts and then went back upstairs. I then made some brownies for the children's party at the fire hall. I then did somethings on the computer. I got things ready and loaded in my car and left the house at 16:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Jean was up at the hall setting things up. I helped her set some things up and then Robin showed up to help. I then took my suit into the fire house and then went back up to the hall to help some more. Bill showed up at 17:00 hours to take pictures for the website. I then went down to the fire house at 17:15 hours and started to get dressed. I came up to the fire hall at 17:30 hours and was there for 1-1/2 hours. I talked with the kids and we gave them, an orange, candy cane, peanut butter cup and peanuts. I then left there at 19:00 hours and went down to the fire house to take a break. I was supposed to go back up at 19:30 hours for the kids chirstmas party, but they weren't ready yet. I ended up going back up at 20:00 hours. I went in and handed out gifts to all the company kids and then had a few more pictures taken and then went back down to the fire house to change. I then put everything in my car and headed back up to the fire hall to get something to eat. Bill left and headed on home after talking to me for a little bit. I was up at the hall talking to Robbie and Joey, when our pagers went off for an accident with injuries on Wolf Pond Road, followed by the house siren going off. I ran out of the hall and down to the fire house and got my gear on. Sean and Robbie came in next, followed by LeeAnn, Joey, Lonny and Kevin. Robbiem Joe, myself, Sean and LeeAnn all got in the Engine. Robbie then told me to get off and Lonny to get on the Engine. He then told me to bring the Utility an Kevin. Me and Kevin got in the Utility and off we went. We got there and a single car had struck a tree causing major right front end damage. I found out that the driver was one of our firefighters and his girlfriend. Would be interesting to know what they were doing on the mountain at this time of night. We were there for about 1 hour and then we headed back to the fire house. I backed the Utility in and then filled out the report and took it up to the hall for Robbie to look at. We then talked for a little bit and set the tables back up for bingo on Sunday. We then all headed home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

A Bad Cold

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and called the doctor's office to get an appointment for this afternoon. I got an appointment for 15:00 hours. So I called Bill and asked him if he could go on at noon for me instead of 15:00 hours. He said that was not a problem. I then read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do some things. Amanda then called and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was at home and she asked me if I wanted to come into the ambulance shed and help her wash the unit. I told her I was not feeling well, but I would drop in after I finished some things at home. I left the house around 13:45 hours and headed on in. I got there and she was just finishing up. She backed the unit in and then I helped her rain-x the windshield. We then went back into the office and sat down and talked. Dohn and Bill then got back from the call and then Carol came in. Amanda then took me for a drive in her sports car. Man that is a sweet ride. She then dropped me off and I then headed to the doctor's office. I got there and Dr. Little told me that I have a bad cold. He gave me a perscription for I guess it is a perscription Mucinex for me to take twice a day for my cough and congestion. I then went to Rite Aid and dropped off my perscription and ran into Helen. We talked for a little bit and then I went down to Rite Aid and got some orange juice and iced tea. I then picked up my perscription and then headed on home. Once at home I sat down and watched a little TV. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH. I then headed on down to county for EMA training tonight. Training went good and I then headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then continued on home. I stopped at the fire hall to see if LeeAnn was still there decorating, she was. I stopped in to help her. I left up there around 22:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

Interview

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 07:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and took a shower and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got dressed and got in my car to head down to the Carilise Pike for my interview with Mr. Freysinger. I stopped at the Post Office and mailed my christmas cards out and then continued on my way down. I got down there and had my interview. I think it went very well. After that I headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got to gift cards and then went to Rite Aid and got a christmas card for my parents and some more halls. I then went over to Giant and picked up a few things. I then headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then ate lunch while I played a game of college football on the PS2. I then got off and got on the computer to do some things. I got off at 17:00 hours and ate dinner while I watched MASH. I then headed up to the fire hall for bingo tonight. Bingo went good. Just as bingo began, Robin got a phone call that her father had a heart attack and was in Lancaster General Hospital. Her, Bubba, and Angie all left and headed on down to the hospital. After bingo was over, I talked with whitey, LeeAnn, Helen, and Lonny. I then headed on home. I am now getting ready to watch Mythbusters and then am going to bed.

Another Ho Hum Day

Went to bed last night at 01:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:10 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then ate lunch and got on the computer to do some things. Around 12:48 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and PSP was there. We ended up calling for Perry Medic 81 and Company 29 to help. It ended up being a Diabetic problem. The guy ended up refusing and we went available. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork and then headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer. I am now getting ready to got eat dinner and watch MASH. I will be back on after that to check my email and surf the net. 14 More Days till Xmas

Last night I layed down on the bed at some point and fell asleep. I woke up at 23:20 hours and shut the computer down and went to bed and fell asleep instantly. I woke up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and thee ate breakfast. I then headed on up to Troutman's to have new tires put on my car and regular service done to it. My Aunt brought her car up also this morning and she pulled in right in front of me. We sat in the waiting room and talked until she was done. I was finished and out of there by 09:15 hours and headed on home. Once at home I picked my mother up and we made a dry run to the dealership on the Carilise Pike that I am going to this Wednesday for my interview. After we did that, we stopped at the Wal-Mart down there. We did a little shopping and then we headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH. I then headed up to the fire station for the meeting tonight. After the meeting, I helped sort some more fruit in the trailer and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Christmas Party

Went to bed Friday night around 02:00 hours and got up Saturday morning at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few thigns before the xmas party tonight. I then got changed into a nice outfit and then headed on out to the Carsonville Hotel. Bill was in the parking lot when I got there and we talked for about 15 minutes and then we went inside. Bubba and Robin were already there along with the DJ's. People slowly started to trickle in. We ate dinner around 18:00 hours. The meal was good, Roast Beef, Ham, and all the trimmings. There was beer on tap of course. After dinner was over, the jackets were handed out along with the awards. I won the Most Improved Firefighter Award, Third Place Top Responder and Second Place Top Trainning Attendance. Other awards were given out and then some gag gifts were given out. After that we cleared a lot of tables out of the middle of the room so there could be some dancing room. We then had Karaoke and a few of the gang decided to play a little beer pong. I was the mediater of the game. It lasted only two rounds, cause then Andy finally was able to show us the video he had made for the night. We watched that and then everyone went back to what they were doing. Jess ended up giving me her digital camera halfway through the night and told me to just take pictures with it until the batteries died. Jess then was able to talk me into taking a drink of her beer. Needless to say I had one hell of a time and can't wait until next years party, or the next time we have a get together. I left there around 01:30 hours and headed on home. I got home by 01:45 hours and was in bed by 02:05 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning at 09:22 hours when the fire pager went off for a structure fire at 74 Creek Drive. I jumped out of bed and scrambeled to find an old t-shirt to wear. I got dressed and then jumped in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got to the fire house and parked and ran inside. The Tanker was started and I ran over and got my gear on. Bruce then came in and I got in the Tanker. Bubba told me to get on the Engine so Bruce could go with him on the Tanker to work the CAFS system. Jamie then showed up and he started getting his gear on and then Dave and Matt showed up. We all got on the Engine and we took off. It ended up being a small fire in the back of a garage, but we think it might be arson. We were on scene for about an hour and then we headed into Shell to get fuel. I ran inside and got something to drink and eat and then we headed back to the fire station. When I was in Shell, was when I found out that the back button on my bunker pants popped off. Once back at the station I put my gear away and talked with the gang. They all left and I stayed there to look at my pants. Robbie then called the station and told me that Dave was coming back up to grab the Tanker. He told me to throw his gear on the Tanker and grab my gear also, along with the vent saw. So I did that and then Dave showed up and we headed on back down to the scene. The Fire Marshal was there already. So he did his investigation and then we cut the plywood off to expose the beam that was charred and then I wetted it down before we left. Dave and me then ran into Shell and got fuel in the Tanker and I grabbed something else to drink along with a tea for Bubba and then we headed back to the fire house. Once back there, me, Bubba, Robbie and Andy talked for awhile and then we all headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then showed my mother the awards I won last night. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then took a shower and am now eatting a snack. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Plug that tire up please

Went to bed last night around 02:40 hours and woke up this moring around 11:00 hours when Bubba called my cell phone. We was having some trouble with a program on the computer at the fire station and was wondering if I could swing by the station to see if I could figure out what was wrong. I told him I would be up in a few minutes. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed a pack of crackers. I then got in my car and headed up to the fire station. I got up there and went inside and helped Bubba with the program and a few other things. Robbie then showed up and the three of us talked for about 40 minutes. We then went up to the trailer and helped Bubba load up some fruit in his car. I then headed into town to go to the bank to cash my check. After I cashed my check, I headed on home. Once at home I did a few things for my mother and I then sat down and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do somethings before the meeting tonight. Around 15:45 hours my father got home and he came in the house and told me that my left front tire was flat on my car. I went out and took a look and sure enough, ut was flat. So my father got the automatic tire pump we have and filled my tire up with air and we ran out to Heim's. Once there, I had them take a look at the tire and they found a screw in the left front tire. They plugged the tire for me and then we headed back home. Once at home I finished up my stuff on the computer. I then ate dinner and watched some tv. I then loaded the car up with the two cases of friut and me and my father headed up to Wiconisco for the County booster meeting. The meeting went good, it was a very quick meeting. We talked to some people up there and we then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

FRUIT

Went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and woke up at 10:00 hours when Gary Freysinger called the house to set up a interview with him. I then got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 for about an hour. I then headed up to the fire house to help sort fruit. Turns out that the fruit came in around 08:45 hours that morning. I got there to help them finish sorting through the fruit. After we were doing going through all the boxes and taking out any rotten fruit, we got everyone's orders together. Bill came out and brought a CD out for me. He offered to take my fruit home. So we loaded all my fruit up in the back of his truck and then he parked his truck so I could stay and held them finish getting the orders together. He then offered to take me around so I could me my delievery's. So I took my car home and he met me there. I unloaded the fruit for at home and then we went into Tab's. I dropped off her 11 boxes and then we went up to Millersburg and dropped off the 5 boxes at the Casey's house. Bill then stopped at Pizza Delight and picked up a pizza to take home and I grabbed a soda to drink. We then went to Sue's house and we dropped off her 16 boxes and then we headed on home. Once at home I gave Bill, Viv's box of fruit since he was going to see her the next day. I then did a few quick things at home and then headed back up to the fire house for bingo that night. Once up there I helped Bubba and David load fruit up in the back of Dave's truck. I then went inside and got stuff out for bingo. Bingo went good and then I stayed up there and bullshited until midnight. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then talked with my mom for a little bit. I then watched Mythbusters. I went to bed at 03:00 hours this morning and got up at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then ate lunch and watched some tv. Around 13:30 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Osteo. On the way down I ended up calling for a medic due to her becoming short of breath. After we got what we needed, we headed on back with me driving. Once back at his house, I grabbed my car and ran back home and picked up some stuff to take to the recycling bins. I dropped that stuff off and then went to the "Barn" and did my paperwork from the call. I then went to Giant and picked up some sharp chesse and iced tea and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I watched MASH. Around 17:52 hours the pager went off, followed by my fire pager for a chimney fire in Jackson Township. I got in my car and headed to the scene. I got behind Jason and Matt Faust on Rutter Road. I got up there and the fire was out. We were there for about a good 1 - 1/2 hours. We all had a good time at the fire. Lonny broke the Utility and I was pissed. Lyle ended up using my jumper cables on his truck to jump start the Utility, that was after Bubba told Lonny to shut the Utility off. We got it restarted, but there were no head or taillights on it. So they put him in between the Engine and the Tanker on the way back to the fire station. I headed to the fire house to help clean it up some before Saturday night. After that we bullshited around until about 22:50 hours and then I headed on home. Once at home I took the trash out and had a snack. I am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired,

Pick Up

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 09:55 hours when my father called me. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then gave the cats their pills and then I got in the car and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital to pick up my mother. I got down there and parked by the emergency room. I went in and up to the 9th floor and went to the Women's Unit. Once there, I let the nurses know who I was and why I was there. I went in and saw my mother and helped her get somethings together and then I took them down to the car. I went down to bring my car around to the main entrance, while a volunteer brought her down in a wheel chair. She then got in the car and we headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then we stopped at Rite Aid and I dropped off 3 perscriptions of my mothers, and then we headed on home. Once I made sure mom was ok, I ran some paperwork up to the Jackson Township building and talked to Charlie. After that I came home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played for about an hour. I then got off and got on the computer to do some things. I then got off and made dinner and watched MASH on TV. I am covering for Sue for a little bit. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

The Process Continues

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast. I then got changed into street clothes and gathers some paperwork together. I then got in my car and headed on down to New Cumberland and Freysinger's for my interview. I got down there at 08:00 hours and went inside the office. Amanda was sitting at her desk and she intorduced me to her manager, Dick. I filled out an application and me and Amanda talked. I then went over and me and Dick talked about benefits and pay and all that other good stuff. It sounds like a very promising job to me. After that I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I headed into the church. I left in there around 16:30 hours and headed on home/ Once at home I took a shower and then read the paper. I crached in bed again and am going to bead soon as I am tired,

The Clean up has begun

Went to bed last night around 01:56 hours and got up this morning at 12:11 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch while I watched some TV. Me and my father then got in his truck and went back to all of the house to get pictures of the damage. We were able to get in the one house on Dividing Ridge Road and look at the interior Structural damage. There was a lot of damage. Some roof joists snapped in the master bedroom. After that we went over to Enders Road/Forest Lane and took a look at those houses. After that we went over to Small Valley Road and looked at that house. We then went into Halifax and my father got gas at Sheetz. He then parked his truck and walked around and took pictures of the damage. We then went to Giant and picked up some food and then went to the hardware store and got salt for the water softner. We then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. Tornado

Boy where to start. Over the past 2 days I have spent most of my time wide awake and out on the road due to the torando that came throught the area on Friday. I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to do some things. Around 14:30 hours Millersburg Fire Department got dispatched for a structure collapse in Upper Paxton Township. Then around 16:30 hours my internet dropped me, which sometimes is normal after it has been on for a long time. But I could not log back on, as it said the line was busy. That was my first sign that something was wrong. Around 16:46 hours, Halifax Fire Department was dispatched for an AFA at Community Banks. About 1 minute later, county said they had recieved a call that the roof on Accu-Mold had collapsed. About that time the EMS pager went off for the Accu-Mold call. I got my boots on and then fought my way through the rain and wind to my car and headed into the "Barn". While I was heading in, they dispatched an accident with entrapment in the Borough. Me and Dohn took 13-2 and found no accident in the Borough or by the beer place. Chief 29-3's wife was there and told us that a possible tornado had gone through the area. We advised county, who told us to head towards Accu-Mold. We got as far as Lebo's Insurance when traffic was stopped due to power lines and a transformer fire on the roadway. It was a mess with debris all over the place. We then relocated with 13-1 to the parking lot of Giant. 6-1 and 6-3 then showed up and staged until they had to leave on their own calls. Me and Dohn then moved 13-2 up to Reinhard's by the tree that landed on the car. Sue left the house when the call came in and saw the tree on the car when she came to the triangle. She parked her car and checked the patient inside the vehicle, but they were a signal 12. I floated back and forth from the unit and Station 29 until we brought a guy from Ridge Road who was having problems with his oxygen machine to Station 29. I then got a call from my parents that our water softner had sprung a leak and the basement was filling up with water. I talked to Scott who said I could go home and found someone who was heading to town to drop me off at the shed and then I headed on home. By the time I got home they had the leak stopped and the water damage was not as bad as they had origianlly thought. I helped clean the water up and then headed up to the fire house. Jason, Robbie, Barb, Leeann, Lonny, Sean and Eric were all there. After awhile we ran up to Eville and got fuel and gas at Shell and then got food at Koppy's for people and headed on back. We stood by until about 03:45 hours and the we all headed on home. I actually went into town and drove around looking at the damage and then headed on home. Once at home I tried to sleep but couldn't, so I got up and read the paper. I then watched a little tv and then around 06:45 hours I got dressed and headed over to Bill's house to talk to him. I got his camera and then headed into town to take pictures. Sheetz, and Shell got off easy. Shell lost their sign and the roof to the car wash. Community Banks I guess lost some of their roof. Patton Tire, Accu-Mold and Sister's Coffee Shop got a lot of damage. There was also a lot of trees down, a lot of debries all over the place and some damaged houses out in Jackson Township. I spent most of the day doing EMA work since my father was with my mother ona trip to Cape May, New Jersey. I left Station 29 around 16:30 hours and headed on out to Small Valley Road to look at a house. After I was done I headed back towards Enders. I was coming into Enders, when the pager went off for a structure fire with entrapment in Halifax Township. I turned my blue light on and off I went for the fire station. I got there and slid to a stop in front of Leeann's car. I grabbed my gear out of my car and ran inside the fire house. I got my gear on and then got in the Engine. Keinv and Ray showed up and then Jason got there. We all got in the Engine and off we went. We got as far as town and was getting ready to turn onto Fourth Street when the box was held to Company 29. We turned around and headed on back. Once back there, we talked for about an hour. I then headed into Sheetz and got gas and then headed back home. Once at home I did my paperwork for EMA and am soon going to crash in bed as I am really tired, having been up straight for about 46 hours.
