Another Night of Bingo

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I got in my car and ran into town. I first stopped at the "Barn" and filled out the rest of my time sheet. I then ran up to Giant to pick up a few things. I ran into Robbin while I was at the store. I asked her if we were having a super bowl party at the fire house on Sunday. She said that Bubba had mentioned something about it and that we are going to do it. I then picked up the things I needed at the store. I then stopped at Dollar General and got two birthday cards. I then headed on home. Once at home I unloaded my car and then read the paper. I then ate lunch while I watched a little TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things before I go up to bingo tonight. I might be online after I get home from bingo tonight. It will depned on what time I leave from up there.

It's Snowing Out

Went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper while I watched a little TV. Then a little after 14:00 hours, me and my mother got in her car and headed up to Goodwill in Eville to drop off some stuff. We then went inside and took a look around. My mother bought one of those small old medicine bottles. We then went to the recycling bins over by McDonald's and then went in the Family Dollar store. After we were done in there, we headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things. I then got off and made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then took a shower. When I got out of the shower, I noticed snow on the outside of the bathroom window. I took a look outside and saw that it was snowing out and the ground was already covered with snow. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Various Training at the Fire House

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and then me and my mother got in her car and headed on down to our doctor's appointments. We got down there early, so we stopped at Giant and picked up a few things. We then went to our doctor's appointments. After that we went over to Kohl's where I picked up a gift card for Jess. After we were done there, we went over to my grandparents house. Once there I read the paper and then the four of us sat around and talked until a little after 14:00. I ate lunch while I was down at their house. After we left there we headed on up home. We stopped at the Giant up here and picked up a few more things and then headed on home. Once at home I filled the bird feeders up and then got on the computer to do a few things. I then got off and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left at 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for training. Tonight we talked about Hybrid cars, went over the air packs, and then Robby taught us some knots that you need to know for Firefighter 1. After we were done we went down to the fire house to bull shit. Bubba had Andy move the Engine out and had me move the Utility out, so we could fix the dump tank on the Tanker. After we fixed that we brought everything back in. I left there around 22:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The Rolex 24 hours at Daytona

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched the end of the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. It is a race where there are two classes of cars. There are GT cars and DP or Daytona Portotype cars. They race non-stop for 24 hours at the road course at Daytona International Speedway. They race at night, and they race in the rain, putting grooved tires on the cars. They are also equipped with wind shield wipers, head lights and brake lights. After the race was over, I got on the PS2 and played a game of college football. I beat Youngstown State, 156 - 7. After I was done with my game I ate dinner while I got on the computer to do a few things. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The Day After

I crashed in bed around 03:00 hours last night and got up this afternoon at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into streets clothes and then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then watched a little bit of the 24 hour race at Daytona on TV with my father. I then took a shower and then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. I played Notre Dame and kicked their butts. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. After I got off the PS2, I got on the computer to do a few things. Structure Fire on Powell's Valley Road

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch, read the paper and watched a little TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. Bill then called and said that Alf invited us over to his house tonight at 19:00 hours to play cards. Bill said that he was brining a pizza and said that I could bring what I wanted. So I called my mother and caught them while they were at Giant. I asked her to pick me up a bag of chips and a 2 liter of Sprite for the card game tonight. I then ate one pizza while I watched MASH on TV. I then took a shower after I went off duty at 18:00 hours. I then got my stuff together and went over to Alf's around 19:00 hours. I got there and turned my car around so that it was facing out incase I needed to leave for the fire house. I then went inside and Matt was already there. I sat down at the table and talked to Kim and Alf. Two of their friends then showed up, followed by Bill. We started off by playing bullshit. We then moved on to Texas Hold 'Em. At 21:14 hours everyones fire pagers went off for a structure fire in Halifax Township. We all scrambeled to our cars. I got in my car, turned on my blue light and took off for the fire house. I pulled into the parking lot and parked and ran inside the fire house. Robby then called my cell phone and told me to throw his gear on the Engine, then said never mind as he saw it laying in his truck. I then kicked my shoes off and started pulling my bunker pants on when I heard a car pull in outside. Bruce came in the door and I asked him if he wanted to take the Tanker and he said yes. So I opened the passenger side compartment and threw my jacket and helmet in and Bruce did the same thing. Robby then called my cell phone again and asked me if I had a driver yet. I told him Bruce was hear and we were going to take the Tanker and go. Robby said ok and that he would see me at the fire. Bruce and me then got in the Tanker and off we went. While heading to the fire, I called Command and asked them for an assignment. Alf told us to come up Hoffman Road and drop our port-a-tank on Powell's Valley Road. We got on the scene, dropped our port-a-tank. Engine 20 then pulled up beside it and dropped their hard sleeve in the tank to draft. We then dumped our load of water and headed to Dollar General to get refilled. Engine 216 had the fill site. My father was driving, and with him were Matt Faust, LeeAnn and Helen. Robby came in the Utility. After we got filled, we headed back to the scene. Me and Bruce then took the time to walk around. I ran into Sue and we talked for a little bit and then I walked around some more. I ran into Sean and talked to him for a little bit. He asked me if I got ant pictures and I said no I didn't as I was on the Tanker and was busy setting up the port-a-tank. We then broke down the port-a-tank and once the Engine filled Tanker 20, they broke down the lines and then came to the scene. We stood around for a little bit and then were told that we could go home. So we all ran up to Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the fire house. When we pulled in I remarked to Bruce that it looked like a parking lot beside the station with all the cars and trucks just parked everywhere. We backed the Tanker in and then Robby had me back the Utility in and then my father backed in the Engine in. I then got out of my gear and then filled out the incident report while they re packed 2-1/2 inch on the Engine. We then all sat around and talked for awhile. My father left first, and then the Faust brothers left. Bruce then left, followed by Helen. I then left and went back over to Alf's house and picked up me chips and soda and then went back to the fire house. LeeAnn and Robby were still there. I went inside and we talked for a little bit more and then we all left to head on home. I am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

It's Starting to get Cold out Again

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 11:56 hours when the pager went off for bleeding in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Carol already had 13-1 sitting outside. I parked and got in the unit and off we went. We got on the scene, got the guy loaded up and took him down to Community General Osteopathic Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done, I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. After I was done reading the paper, I made dinner and then sat down to watch MASH on TV. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Once Again, Another Quiet Day

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper and watched TV. I then ate lunch at 14:00 hours while I got on the computer to do a few things. It has been a quiet day so far today, with no calls. I went off duty at 15:00 hours and Bill went on for me since I have bingo tonight up at the fire house. After bingo I will come home and watch TV and then probally go to bed.

Quiet Day at Home

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football on the new game that my father got us yesterday. I played on there and took a break at 17:00 hours to watch MASH on TV and eat dinner. I then got back on at 19:00 hours and finished my game. After my games was over, I headed into town to get my hair cut. After I got my hair cut I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Two in One Day

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and ran into Giant. I dropped two perscriptions off at Rite Aid and then ran over to Giant and picked up two gallons of diet iced tea. I then picked my medications up and headed on home. Once at home I sat down to eat lunch and read the paper. At 12:36 hours the fire pager went off for a fire alarm at 145 Rettinger Road. I kicked my slippers off and ran back to my room and got my shoes on, grabbed my hat, jacket and keys and then jumped in my car and headed up to the fire station. I pulled in and Bubba was coming up the alley. We both went inside and I got my gear on and then jumped in the front seat of the Engine. Bubba pulled the Engine out and he told me to make sure that I put Chief 216 and the Engine responding. So I went responding and Jason, Matt, and Dave Faust all pulled in. I jumped out of the officers seat and got in the right rear jump seat. Matt got in the back, and Jason got in the front. Dave grabbed the Tanker and brought Ray along with him. We went in class 3 to just check the house and talk with the home owner to make sure everything was ok. Everything was ok and we went back to the station. Once there I filled out the report and then I headed on home after everyone had left. Once at home I finished eating lunch and reading the paper. After I was done with that I swept the floor. I then got on the computer to do a few things. My father then came home and showed me that he got three new games for the PS2 today. They were NASCAR 2007, Madden 2007, and NCAA 2007. I got off the computer and took a quick look at the NCAA 2007 game. I then got off and made dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then was asked to run into Giant and get some iron out for the water softner. I ran in and got some butter for mom at Giant. I then had to go to True Value and get the iron out and then I headed on home. I dropped the stuff off and then ran back up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I got up there and went up to the hall. LeeAnn was over at Helen's house and then came over, followed by Helen and Kenny. I talked to LeeAnn and Helen about the license plates for bingo, and they thought it was a good idea. I found out that Robin is sick and I would not be able to talk to her tonight. We then had the meeting. Bill then came in and sat down. A short time later, his pager went off and he reset it right away. About 30 seconds later, all of our fire pagers went off for a smaoke in a structure call in Halifax Borough. We all got up and went running to the fire house. We all got our gear on and then figured out who was going on what truck. Robby and Lonny took the Tanker. Myself, Eric, and Helen went in the Utility. Andy, Dave, LeeAnn, Lyle, and Troy all went in the Engine. My father came to the scene and Bruce and Matt stayed at the station. We got all the way to the scene and the box was then held to Company 29. So we all headed back to the fire house. We got all the trucks put away and once everyone got setteled again, we started the meeting. Robby then said he wanted to talk to me after the meeting. I figured it might have something to do with me driving the Utility. He told me that someone stopped at the fire station and told Robby that I was tailgating their car on the way back to the fire house. Robby just talked to me and said that he was not going to do anything. He did tell me that he was going to have to tell Bubba, which I told him that I knew he was going to have to. He then talked to Bubba over the phone and he told me that Bubba was going to talk to me also about it. I then went down to the fire house while Dave put the reports into the computer. After we were done down there, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then talked to Bill on the phone. I then had a light snack and got on the PS2 to take a look at the NCAA 2007 game some more. I am soon going to bed as it has been a long day and I am tired.

My First Fire Call of the Year

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 03:30 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". While I was on my way in, I heard MICU 6-3 go available from the call that Millersburg was on, and they headed to the chest pain call. Scott then called my cell phone and asked me if I would mind if 6-3 just handled the call since they were already in Millersburg. I said that I did not mind, and he let 6-3 know that they were going to handle the call. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and picked up a few things I knew we needed. I then headed on home. Once at home I changed back into my pj's and went back to bed. Bill then texted me around 05:00 hours and we texted back and forth for a few minutes, and then I went to sleep. The pager then went off I believe 3 times during the morning. Twice we were cancelled, and the thrid time was for a chimney fire on River Vista Drive in Halifax Township. As I laid in bed, I heard Warren start his truck up and leave. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I got up at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and took a shower. I then got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. I was playing Minnesota, and winning, when at 15:42 hours, the fire pager went off for a chimney fire on Straws Church Road. I kicked my slippers off and ran over to my room. My father came running back the hall when he heard the pager go off, and he asked me what we had. I told him we had a chimney fire on Straws Church Road. I got my shoes on and grabbed my jacket, hat and keys and ran out to my car. I got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I pulled in and LeeAnn's car was already there. I parked and ran inside the fire station and over to my stall. The Engine was already started, and I quickly kicked off my shoes and put on my bunker pants. I then grabbed my helment and jacket and ran around the front of the Tanker. Robby was sitting in the driver's seat, LeeAnn was in the right rear jump seat, and Tyler, Robby's boy was sitting in the middle jump seat. I got in the officers seat and laid my jacket and helmet on the middle console. We pulled out and stopped on the ramp when we saw Bruce's car parked outside. We waited a few seconds and then Bruce popped out the front door and told us to go and that he would bring the Tanker. So Robby put us responding and we started down the alley. I turned the power button for the Federal Q on, since Robby forgot to do it, and I tapped the floor pedal. Jamie Stoneroad then turned in the alley and we stopped. Jamie moved over and let us go by. We slowed down and Robby rolled down his window and told him to go with Bruce on the Tanker. My father and Whitey brought the Utility. We then pulled out onto Armstrong Valley Road and we took off. I worked the Federal Q most of the way to the scene. A little ways before we got to Straws Church Road, Dave, who was on the scene already, held everyone to a class 3 response. We got there and we all laughed as we saw that Dave had his shitter trailer hooked up to his truck. We pulled in the driveway and we all got out. Lonny, and Jason were already there. The Tanker then showed up, followed by the Utility. Troy, Ray and Jean also showed up. We checked the chimney, and we ended up setting up the 24 foot ladder off of the tanker again. We were at this house back in December for a chimney fire also. Robby and Jamie went up to the roof with the chimney rods and brush to clean the chimney out again. After the chimney was cleaned, we put everything back and we headed back to the fire station. While riding back I filled the report out for Dave. When we got back to the station, I noticed that my father had left the lights on in his truck. When he pulled up in the Utility, I pointed it out to him. He did not want to back the Utility in, so he had me do it. It is a little crocked, but it is in, and you can get in and out of each piece with ease. I then took off my bunker pants and hung my jacket back up and put my helmet away, and then went back over to the desk and finished filling out the report. Most of the guys and gals hung around and we talked for a little bit and then everyone dispersed and went home. I finished filling out the report and then headed on home. Once at home, my father was in the process of putting a pizza in the oven for both myself and him. I then went back to my football game. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I ended up winning, more like killing Minnesota, 125-7. I then got off the PS2 and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Boy is it COLD OUT!!!

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of College Football. I played Northwestern and won 96 to 17. I then played a few short games while I ate dinner. It is really cold outside today, and the wind does not make things any better. Another somewhat boring day

Went to bed last night really late, around 04:00 hours. I woke up today at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. Around 16:30 hours the pager went off for an unconscious person in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and Carol was already there. I parked my car and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and MICU 6-5, Scott and Kim were already there. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Pizza Hut

Went to bingo last night and had a good time. Bill came over and talked to Bubba and filled out an application to join the fire company. After bingo was over, me, Bubba and LeeAnn went down to the fire house to look at a few things. I left there around 23:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I had a light snack and then watched Mythbusters. I fell asleep in the chair and missed most of the second half of the two hour special. I woke up to see the last five minutes of it. I then went to bed and woke up at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper while I watched some TV. I then went back to my bedroom and made copies of my cert's for down at County, to go on my file. I then got in my car and headed on down to my grandparents house. I stopped at Pizza Hut on Front Street and ate a late lunch. I then continued to my grandparents house. Once there, me and my mother took her car over to Wal-Mart. We picked up a few things and then went over to Sam's Club to get water and kitty liter. We got the water, but found out that they did not have the kitty liter that we normally get. So we went back over to Wal-Mart and got kitty liter. We then went back to the grandparents house. Once back there, the 4 of us sat in the living room and talked for awhile. My father then showed up and he and my mother went over to Target. My grandparents then ate dinner while the 3 of us talked until my mother and father got back. We then went back into the living room and talked some more. My brother then came home and we talked for a little bit. Then me and my father left and headed over to County for EMA training tonight. After training, we headed on home. Once at home I unloaded the water and kitty liter from my mothers car and then took the trash out. A Frequent Flyer

Around 00:31 hours last night the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. I got dressed and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". On my way in I called Scott to make sure he was on his way. I got there and parked my car and Scott pulled in behind me. We both went inside and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and it is one of our frequent flyers. We got her loaded up and Medic 6 got on board and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then went back to the shed. Once back there I logged my time in and then did the paper work from the call. After I was done I headed on home. Once at home I finished a few things on the computer and then crashed in bed around 03:50 hours. I was rocked out of bed around 08:00 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for seizures in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the shed. As I pulled in we were placed in service as Medic 6 said they would handle it. So I turned around and headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed and to sleep. I got back up again at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed again. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then went off duty at 15:00 hbours and took a shower. I am soon going to be getting off to watch MASH and then up to the fire house for bingo tonight. I might be on later tonight, but not sure.

Another Racing Legend Dies

Last night I fell asleep in the chair while I was checking email. My mother woke me up at 02:00 hours and I logged off and crashed in bed as I was really tired. I got up this afternoon at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and headed into town. I first stopped at the recycling bins and dropped off a few things. I then went to Giant and got to cases of water, some chips, a gallon of milk, a gallon of iced tea and some kitty liter for at home. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I took everything inside and then got on the computer to do a few things. I then got off at 16:30 hours to make dinner. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I went back to the office at 18:00 hours to watch the second hour of MASH. After that was over, I came out and my mother told me that Benny Parsons died today from lung cancer. BP as he was commonly called was a NASCAR legend and was a comentator for NBC for NASCAR races. I am now getting ready to check my email and surf the net. Toby

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:15 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I took me awhile to get in there, due to the fact that it was really foggy out my way. I got in there and Dohn was already there. I parked my car and then we both got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and ALS released to us and we got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then watched a little TV and then got on the computer at 12:30 hours. I ate lunch while I did a few things online. My parents then took Toby up to the vets around 15:30 hours. A couple of minutes later the pager went off for an unconscious person in Upper Paxton Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. As I came into Fisherville, county placed us in service, as 20 was getting a crew together. I turned around and headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer. My parents got home with Toby and my mother told me that Toby is starting to go blind. His retans are detatching. Lately we have noticed that he bumps into things when he walks, and also his pupils are mostly always dialated. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH. I went off duty at 18:00 hours and took a shower. I just finished eating a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Finally Home

After I signed off last night at the hotel computer, I went back to our room and watched the end of the Saint's/Eagle's game. I then watched an hour of "How it's made" on the Discovery Channel. I then went to bed around midnight and got up at 06:00 hours when the alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed while my father took a shower. After I was dressed I finished packing my suit case. We then went over and had our Delux Conteintinal breakfast. I had cereal and an english muffin. After we were done with breakfast, we went back to our room and got out stuff and headed out to the main desk. Once therem we checked out and loaded our bags in my father's truck and then headed towards the training center. We stopped at Sheetz and my father got gas for his truck and we then continued to the training center. We got there at the same time as Kevin did. We went inside and got setteled in the classroom. Once again a light breakfast was provided to us in the classroom. We then got started on class and went through 2 units. We then went upstairs and took a look at Adam Counties EOC room and how it is set up. After we were done in there, we went back down to the classroom to go over the exercise that we were going to do. The group we were in was to go to the EOC room first for the exercise. SO we gathered our things together and headed up stairs to the EOC room and to set up our command structure. I will tell you this, it was a very good learning experience. I got to see how the EOC works fully and got to interact with a wide variety of different people. We then took a break for lunch at 12:15 hours. Lunch was fried chicken and some type of potatoe's. After lunch we went back up to the EOC to finsh out the first half of the exercise until we had a shift change and we went back downstairs and we now became Incident Command and the other group became the EOC. After we were done, we all came back to the classroom and went over the exercise. We then went through 2 more units and then took a quick 15 question quiz and filled out and evaulation form. We then got our cert's, talked wit ha few people and then headed on home. We left down there around 16:00 hours and got home around 17:30 hours. While on the way home, Bubba called my cell phone and told me that I had missed a tractor fire this morning. Once at home we unloaded everything and took it inside. I then unpacked my suit case. After that I ran up to the fire house and copied down the info from the call for on the website. I then headed back home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner while I read the papers. I am now soon going to crash in bed as I am tired.

I am currently writing this from the hotel's computer in a small room off of the hallway by the main desk. I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed at 06:00 hours Friday morning when the pager went off for a sick person. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed to Carol's house. I got there and parked my car and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and the lady could not get an appointment to see her doctor, so she called 911 to have us haul her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. After I got my car, I ran home and grabbed my schedule and then went back into the "Barn". Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then ran up to Giant and got a gallon of milk and headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then did a few things around the house for my mother and then packed a few things in my suitcase for this weekend. I then got on the PS2 and played Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories. I then went off duty at 13:00 hours and took a shower. I then ate lunch while I continued to play on the PS2. My father then came home and we loaded up the stuff in the truck, said goodbye to my mother and we headed on down to Gettysburg. We left the house at 16:00 hours and got to the hotel at 17:30 hours. We checked in and took our stuff to our room. We then set out to find the Adams County Training Center, where the class is being held. After we found it, we stopped at Wal-Mart. My father grabbed a 2 liter of Pepsi and a bag of chips to snack on. I grabbed two bottles of Sprite and a bag of Twizzler Nips. We then stopped at Hoss's to eat dinner. However, the line to get a table was unbeliveable, so we decided to go to Perkins, which is right beside our hotel. After we ate we went back to our rooms and watched "Under Seige" on TV, twice, very good movie. I went to bed around midnight, but did not sleep very well, do to the fact that the hotle has foam pillows on the bed and they are so uncomfortable to sleep on. So I tossed and turned all night long. We got up at 06:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed while my father took a shower. We then went over to have our contentinal breakfast. I had a bowl of cereal, a doughnut, and a waffel, along with apple juice. After breakfast, we grabbed out notebooks and headed over to the County Training Center for classs. We got there and signed in and found out that out own Kevin Nelson, who works for Dauphin County EMA, is teaching the class. They had a light breakfast for us there also. There is a total of 18 people taking the class, and including me and my father, there are 4 people from Dauphin County. We had introductions and then some teaching. We then had lunch at 12:30 hours. I ate lasanga for lunch. Oh, I forgot to mention that when we signed in, they gave us a $25.00 Visa Gift Card to use for dinner tonight. After lunch, we went back to class and did an exercise. We got out of there around 16:10 hours. We headed back to the hotel and dropped our stuff off and then relaxed for about an hour before heading out for dinner. We decided to go to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. I had a 9 oz. sirloin steak for dinner. Boy was that ever good. We then stopped at a local ice cream shop and we each got a pint of ice cream to go. We then headed back to the hotel. Once back at the room, I ate my ice cream and went over a few things in the binder from the class. I then took a shower and am just quickly checking my email since this is a public computer. I will be back home tomorrow evening, so I will talk to everyone then.

First Fire of the Year

Went to bed Tuesday night at 03:00 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 12:45 hours. I got out of bed and got changed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then went off duty at 13:00 hours. Once off duty, I took a shower and changed into street clothes. I sat down and watched MASH on TV. I left at 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for bingo. Bingo went good. I won $100.00 off of the pop-open tickets that we sell up there. After bingo was over, me, LeeAnn and Lonny went down to the fire house to look at a few things. We left there around 23:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I watched TV. I watched Mythbusters from 01:00 to 03:00 hours and then went to bed right afterwards. I was rocked out of bed this morning at 09:01 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked and me and Dohn got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and it ended up being a refusal. So we went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did my paperwork. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and started to read the paper. At 10:54 hours, the fire pager and then the EMS pager went off for a vehicle fire in front of Gonder's Grub House. I got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked my car and got in the ambulance and off we went. We passed the fire house and the Tanker was just pulling out. We got there and Jason was already on the scene. Dohn parked the unit and I went over and talked to Jason. I asked him if he wanted to pull the trash line off the Tanker and he said yes. So Bubba and Sean came screaming around the corner in the Tanker and came to a stop beside the vehicle. Now let me tell you this, this car was off, a working engine compartment fire. Sean got out of the Tanker and headed back to get the air pack out, while me and Jason started to unfasten the trash line, when all of a sudden, Bubba starts backing up in the Tanker. He stopped and all 3 of us tried it again, when Bubba started moving foward again. He finally stopped and Sean was able to get the pack out and me and Jason got the trash line off. Sean and Jason started working on the fire in the engine compartment. Engine 21 then arrived on the scene and assisted with over haul. We then left and once I got my car I headed into the shed and got times and then headed back out to the fire house. Once at the fire house, I helped them clean stuff up and then the 4 of us talked for a little bit. Then it was just me and Bubba. We decided to pull the Tanker out and take a look at the CAFS system, since it was not working up at the scene. We ran the CAFS through the trash line. We found it that we can flow foam, but no air is getting into the system. So we put the Tanker away and then we talked while Bubba did a few things on the computer. Robby then stopped by and we talked for a little bit and then we all left. I headed on home. Once at home I finished reading the paper and then I ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then got on the computer and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Slow Days

Went to bed last night at 02:58 hours and woke up this morning at 12:00 hours. I had taken some of my cough syrup with Codiene in it before I went to bed last night, so I really slept. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played Driv3r until 16:30 hours. I then got off and made dinner and then sat down to watch MASH on TV. It was a very slow day with not a lot happening. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Meeting Night

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and then got in my car and headed down to Harrisburg. I ran over to Members 1st bank and cashed my two checks. I then went to the eye doctor's and had them put my lenses in my new frames. After I was done there, I went to Pizza Hut and had lunch. While I was there, I ran into Deb Rudy, who I had gone to school with. We talked for a few minutes. I then left and headed on home. I stopped at Giant and picked up two gallons of iced tea and then continued on home. Once at home I read the paper and then changed the sheets on my bed and help my mother put sheets on her bed. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of Driv3r. I then got off at 16:30 hours and made dinner and then sat down and watched MASH on TV while I ate dinner. I then headed up to the fire house. I got there and Bubba, Robbie and LeeAnn were all already there. I went inside and talked to them and showed them some videos I had on two CD's from home. We then had the meeting and we set up the dates for this years fundraisers. After the meeting a few of us went back down to the fire hosue to talk some more. I left there around 22:45 horus and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a snack while I watched the end of the Ohio State/Flordia National Championship game. I am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

MERRY CHRISTMAS II

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and ate lunch. Me and my father then played one of the games we got for Christmas. It was the NASCAR DVD Board Game. We played that for about an hour and then we put it away. I then got on the PS2 and played Driv3r for about 1-1/2 hours. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I then got off and we opened our 3 gifts each for Grandpa's Christmas. It is Serbian Christmas, which was always celebrated by my fathers family when he was a kid. After that I got on the computer to do some things and had a snack also. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

A Busy Two Days

Went to bed Thursday Night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed at I believe it was 08:30 hours when the pager wenr off for a sick person in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and parked and went inside and pulled 13-2 out awhile. Dohn pulled up and got in the passenger's seat and said to go. We got up to Boyer's Apartments and went inside and got the lady loaded up in the ambulance. Dohn then got in the back and said that we were going to Osteo. I asked him if he was sure that I could drive. He said it was a class 3 call. I told him I did not want to get into trouble. He asked me how I would get in trouble. I said ok and then got in and drove down to Osteo. After we got what we needed, we started on back. We had just left Osteo, when county called us. They asked us if we could handle a call in the city for a sick person. We told them that we could. We went responding and Medic 1-7 said that he would meet us on the scene. We got as far as 17th Street, when a 456 unit said that they were closer. Medic 1-7 placed us in service with his thanks and we went available. Meanwhile, while we were heading to that call, we got his for a fainting in Halifax Township. Alf, Kim, and Carol handeled that call and went to Harrisburg Hospital. We got back up to the shed, and Dohn ran their van up to Engle's and I followed him up in the unit and then we headed back to the shed. While I was sitting at Engle's waiting for Dohn, I heard County calling 13-1. I called down to County and Jeff Enders was working EMS. I told him that they were still inside Harrisburg Hospital probally. He told me that he was trying to get ahold of them to take a call in Susquehanna Township. They ended up getting South Central to handle it. We had just pulled in when the pager went off for a sick person in Millersburg Borough. I told Dohn that we had to switch drivers since it was a class 1 call. After it was dispatched he told me to just go, so I went. We got up there and Medic 6 was already there and Flipper said it was an ALS Pt. and they he figured they would handle it, that way we weren't tying up two units on one call. So we went available. As we were clearing from that call, County called 13-1 and asked them there location. They said that they were on 22/322. County then asked them if they could handle a tramatic injury call in Middle Paxton Township. They went responding. It was a construction accident, where a man had been ejected from his frok lift and was thrown 20 feet and hit his head off of a stone and a log. They had Life Team as their medic. Meanwhile, me and Dohn went back to the shed. I logged my times in and Dohn did the paperwork from the call. I sat there unti; he was done, that way we were both at the station incase we got another call. I then left and went to Giant and picked up a bag of chips for my father and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and started to read the paper. I had just finished eating lunch, when the pager went off for seizures at the Clarks Ferry Truck Stop in Reed Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked my car and Dohn was sitting in the passenger seat. I got in and off we went. We got as far as the bible church when Perry County placed us in service. We turned in at the station to turn around and 13-1 had just pulled in, in front of us. Me and Dohn stopped to see if they needed any help cleaning up the back of the unit. We helped them do a few things and then we left and headed back out to Dohn's house. Once there, I got my car and headed on home. Once at home I went back to reading the paper. I finished reading the paper and watched the end of Dr. Phil. I then emptied trash cans and then went back to my bedroom to open my check up. I had just sat down in my chair, when the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township at Giant. I got back in my car and headed back out to Dohn's house. I parked my car and got back in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and Alf showed up also. We got the guy loaded up and I drove on down to Hershey Hospital. Alf went along with us, along with Medic 6. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the medic and Alf off at Giant and then we headed back out to Dohn's house. Once there, I got my car and headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and took the trash out and then left to head up to Millersburg. I stopped at the fire station and grabbed my gear and then continued on up to the Casey's house. I got up there and Bill was already there. I had just got there, when another car pulled up. House said it was his dad. I was a little confused by that statment (still kind of am). So I went out into the kitchen to get a cup and get my bottle of sprite and some ice, when his dad came in, along with two other people. Here it was Keith Pottiger, Sami, and Tim. We all sat and talked while Bill ordered the pizza. We then continued to talk while we waited for the pizza. Once the pizza got there, we started to play Phase 10. We had finished about either 2 or 3 rounds, when Keith asked House to make a beer run. House ran down to the Millersburger abd picked up a 12 pack of Coors Light and brought it back to the house. I had one beer and then I was done since I had to drive home, and I was working today. We finished Phase 10, and then Keith ran back down to his house to pick up Cody to bring back up. We waited from them to get back. So we sat and talked and then went outside and sat on the porch. It was raining out, but the breeze felt good. Once Keith got back, Bill decided to get going since his knee was bothering him. We then played Uno Attack. I left after 01:00 hours and headed on home. I stopped at the fire house and dropped my gear off and then continued on home. Once at home I took a shower and then crashed in bed as I was tired.

We got there and got the lady loaded up and placed Medic 6 in service and then headed on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and got fuel and then went back to the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then went back into my room and started scanning some pictures, when the pager went off at 13:47 hours for a fall victim in Halifax Borough at the Borough Park. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Carol's house. I got there and parked my car and got in and off we went. I called county and had them place Life Lion on stand-by awhile. We got there and Dohn and Suzy were already there. Alf and Charlie followed soon behind. We got the kid boarded and I called for Life Lion. We got him in the ambulance and Stepler went to work on him. We made the LZ at the high school. We got there and transferred the kid over to Life Lion. After that we dropped Stepler back at his squad and then headed back to the shed. Once there we cleaned the unit up and then I was run back out to Carol's house. Once there, I picked up my car and headed to Sheetz and got gas and something to drink. I then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and did the paperwork from the call. After I was done, I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. More People Getting Sick

Went to bed last night at 02:50 hours and was woek up around 07:10 hours when my brother called the house to talk to my mother. She had already left for a doctor's appointment and I asked him how he was feeling. He told me that he was feeling better, and that my grandmother now was sick with what he had. He also told me that she had fallen in the bathroom. I asked him if she was ok and he said yes. I then talked a little more and then went back to sleep. I then got up again at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then read the paper. I then went outside and helped my mother take down the decoratiosn on our red maple tree and fill the bird feeders up with bird seed. I then came inside and called down to the eye doctor's to see if my frames had come in yet. They said that the frames had been ordered from California and it would take a week for them to come in. I then made and ate lunch while I got on the PS2 and played Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories until 16:40 hours. I then got off and cooked dinner and sat down and watched MASH on TV. I am now eating a snack and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Fun Night at Bingo

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. While I was reading the paper, I heard the house siren go off, but my pager did not. I got my shoes on and got in my car and headed up to the fire house to see what was going on. Bubba was there and I talked to him and he told me that he had county run a test on the siren. I then headed back home. Once at home I ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. I then loaded my car up with things to take into the recycling bins. After I was done in there, I headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played Grand Theft Auto Liberty Stories until 17:00 hours. I then got off and watched MASH on TV until 18:00 hours. I then left and headed back up to the fire house for bingo. I got up there and went inside and quite a few of the regulars were already there. LeeAnn came in about 5 minutes after me and then Robin, Martha, Jess, Helen and then Bubba. Bingo went good. It felt good to be back up at the fire hall to do bingo. After bingo was over, we went down to the fire station and Bubba showed us some pictures of apparatus and of Gator's and what we would have done if we would have gotten the grant for the Gator. I then left there at 23:00 hours and headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Not A Good Start to the New Year

Last night as I was getting ready to go to bed, I started to clean my glasses, like I always do before I go to bed. I started by cleaning the left lense first. This only lasted for a few seconds before the lense fell out. I thought that the screw had come out of my glasses again. I took a look at my glasses and saw that it was much worse then that. The actual frame broke, meaning, I now needed a new set of frames for my lenses. I went to bed then around 03:00 hours and woke up this morning at 10:15 hours. I got out of bed and called my mother's cell phone and told her what happened. She told me that I should not have to make an appointment and that I could just go down to the eye doctors. So I got changed into street clothes, grabbed my check book, the mail, and my glasses and got in my car and headed down to Harrisburg. Now luckily, I kept my last pair of glasses, so I had a back up pair to wear. The lenses are not that different, but enough for me to notice. So I got down there and was able to get an appointment for 13:40 hours. I then left and went to Pizza Hut and ate lunch there. After I was done there, I still had time to waste, so I headed up to the Fire Museum to just pop in and see what was going on. I stopped in and Don and Darlene Deitz, John Wagner and a few other guys were there. So I sat and talked with them for about and hour and then left to headed back to the eye doctor's. I got there and checked in and then had my eye exam. My eyes only changed very slightly. I then went in and talked to the guy in where you get your glasses. I told him I wanted to get new frames for the lenses that I had. He said that he would be able to order them and they would be here in 1 to 2 days. I told him to go ahead and do that. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and raced against my father on his new game that he got for Christmas. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

I went to bed Saturday night at 04:00 hours and got up at 11:00 hours. I got otu of bed and read the paper and ate lunch. I then got on the computer for a little bit before heading up to the fire house. I got up there at 16:00 hours and LeeAnn and Katina were already there. I took the fudge, sprite and sparkinling red grape juice in and put them in the fridge in the back room. Bubba was also there and Helen was walking out the door and stopped me and ate a piece of my mother's fudge. I then sat around and talked with LeeAnn and Katina. Bubba went down to the house to get his big screen TV ready to be moved up to the fire hall. Robbie and Tanda then showed up and brought in all of there alcohol and chairs. I then went back and got a Mike's Hard Lemondae and drank that. Bubba and Robbie then headed down to his house to load up his big screen TV and speakers for Dave Warfel to use with his sound system. We got that into the fire hall and then ran the cable from the fire house up to the TV. By that time I had started my second Mike's Hard Lemondae. I then started snacking on stuff while we watched the end of the Eagle's/Falcon's game. We then saw the end of the Denver/49ers game. I then had a double shot of Old Grand Dad Wiskey. I then had a few cups of Sprite. More people started showing up and then Dave Warfel showed up and set up his sound system. We then watched the movie Jackass 2 and I had my first Coors Light of the night. After the movie was over, Karaoke started for the night. It also marked when the fun began and a lot of pictures were taken. I had a Rum Jello Shooter. Midnight came fast and soon it was 2007 already. I had my second Coors Light of the nigth around 00:30 hours. People slowly started leaving around 01:30 hours and we had everything torn down by 02:00 hours. We then mopped the floor, took the trash out and moved the tables back in place. We finished with that around 02:20 hours. Then, myself, Bubba, Lonny, Lyle and LeeAnn sat around and talked for awhile. Bubba left at about 03:15 hours and headed down to his house. The four of us then left around 03:45 hours. I got home around 03:55 hours as I took my time coming home due to the fog. I got home and texted Sue that I was home safe and then crashed in bed at 04:03 hours and went to sleep. I got up this morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes and we then loaded up the car and headed on down to my grandparents house for new years day dinner. We stopped at Target before we went to their house and my mom got a few things at 75% off. We then went to thier house. Once we got there, we got everything inside and then we sat down to watch the Penn State game. We ate dinner and had the game on also. Penn State ended up beating Tennessee 20 to 10 to win the Outback Bowl. We then switched back and forth from the other bowl games. We then ate desert and shortly afterwards left and headed on home. Once at home I ran Bill's camera over to him and talked to him for about 20 minutes. I then came home and took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net.
