Party!

Went to bed Thursday night at 03:00 hours and got out of bed around 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. Around 13:30 hours the pager went off for a headache in Millersburg Borough. I got my boots on and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there and I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and I drove down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Bill then told me about Troy's party and I told him that I would be out once I got off duty. Once at home I ate dinner and once I got off duty, I headed over to Troy's house. The party really got moving I would say around 21:30 hours when people started getting in the pool. Over all I had 1 Miller Light, 6 Coors Lights and 2 Yeager Bombs. Troy wanted to see if one person could push him into the pool and I took the challange and did push him in, but he thought I had help from House so he made the challange again and I took him up again. This time he told me to take all my electronic stuff off of me and then we went at it. Needless to say I ended up in the drink. I then left there around 03:00 hours and ran into Sheetz and got gas and something to eat and then headed on home. Once at home I laid everything out to dry and then went to bed at 04:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:30 hours for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at the Manor at Susquehanna Village. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded up and then headed on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the Medic off at Shell and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed over to Troy's house for about 1 hour and that was when I decided that I was going to go back over again tonight. I am now eating dinner and once I go off duty at 18:00 hours, I am headed over to Troy's.

New Part Time Job

Went to bed last night at 02:14 hours and got up this morning at 09:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate breakfast. I then got changed into my nice clothes and then headed up to Medic 6 in Eville for my interview. Once up there I went in and talked to Steve and after about 45 minutes, he offered me a part time job, which I of course accepted. I then got a key for the Eville station and one for the Lykens Station. I start July 2nd and my first 24 hour shift is July 3rd to July 4th. I then ran up to the vets and picked up medication for April and then headed on home. I then went back on duty once I got home and I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. Around 15:45 hours the pager went off for a fall victim in Millersburg Borough at Polk Assisted Living. I got my boots on and then headed into the "Barn". I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and got fuel for the unit and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and restocked the unit and then headed on home. Amanda called me and asked me if I would cover for her until 22:00 hours tonight and I told her I could. Once at home I ate dinner and then got back on the computer. I then went off duty at 22:30 hours and then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Jess

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then headed up to the fire house. Once there I put my gear in the Utility, along with the posters and a roll of masking tape and duck tape. I then moved the Engine out and then pulled the Utility out and then put the Engine back in. I then waited to Jason to show up. Once he got there and put his gear in the back, off we went. We hung a poster up on the telephone pole at the stop sign right in town. We then headed up towards Eville. We stopped at Gonder's and dropped one off and then continued on up to Eville. We hit Wal-Mart, Shell, Klinger Lumber, West End Garage, and then Kratzer's Hardware. We then started on our way back into Halifax. I had just turned up Callow Hill Street and was going by Swab's when county dispatched Box 216-1 for a field fire on Creek Road. I pulled the portable radio out from behind the seat and turned it on and to channel 1. I then flipped the lights on and turned the siren on. We went responding as soon as they were done dispatching. We made our way up the Eville mountain and then headed towards the scene. Jason and Dave got there first and Dave dropped Jason off and headed to the station to grab the Engine. We pulled in next and Jason told us to park by the field. He told us to grab two indian tanks and the indian rakes. Jason climbed in the back and handed me out a indian tank and while he was doing that I handed Jason a indian rake handle and brought a second one out. I then put the indian tank on my back and then Jason grabbed one for himself and then me and Jason went to the head of the fire and knocked it down to keep it from spreading any further. Bruce and Keith then showed up in the Tanker with Dave right behind them. Jason pulled off the trash line and then he told me and Jason to go take a rest. Bruce ran CAFS through the line and then Jason started hosing down the field and me and Jason took our indian tanks off. Brush 29 then showed up and they started hosing down the burn pit. We were out for little over 30 minutes. We then ran Dave back up to the farm since Jason was talking to forestry. We then ran into town to hang posters up. We then headed back to the station. Bill was there and Jason got his gear out and went home to get some more sleep. Jess then came up and her and me washed the Utility. Andy and Troy then showed up and they pulled the Tanker out and started washing that and then Robby showed up. I then grabbed a beer and relaxed. They then quickly went over the Engine. After we were doen washing the Utility, Jess ran down to the house to take a shower and then came back up. Helen and Kenny then came down and then LeeAnn showed up. I then ran home and brought my badge back up to the station since Troy needed to borrow it for the night. I then put the pressure washer away and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Busy Day Again

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and told Carol to pick me up in Fisherville. She picked me up in front of Bubba's house and we got out to the scene. We then got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we were getting ready to leave when Jim heard the Dillsburg was coming in with a 22 year old male code who weighed 400 pounds. We decided to stay around to help security and the crew on the unit to get him out and into the hospital. They got there and we helped them and then we left and headed on home. We were just coming through Dauphin and I had just said to Jim that 20-1 was behind us when the pager went off for a motorcycle accident in Halifax Township at the top of Peters Mountain with the guy over the guard rail. I then was moved to the base of the mountain on our side at the sharp turn. We went responding and 20-1 went responding also to assist us since they also had a medic on with them. We got the guy loaded up and took him down to Hershey Medical Center. I then grabbed something to eat down there and then we headed on back. We dropped the medic off and then I picked up my car and came back into the "Barn" and logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the two calls. I then headed on home and did a quick clothes change and then ran up to the fire house and Jason came down and we washed the Utility. After we were done I headed on home and read the paper and then changed shirts and then headed back up to the fire house to get ready to leave for the Lykens Parade. The parade was good and then we spent some time at the carnival. We then headed on back. We stopped at the Shell in Eville and got fuel and then headed back to the station. Once there we unloaded the trucks and then me, LeeAnn and Andy talked. I then headed on home and once at home I took a shower. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

I Will Give you a Tour of the Utility

Last night I fell asleep on the bed and woke up at 00:30 hours. I closed out the internet and went to bed. I was rocked out of bed this morning at 05:11 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and called Dohn and asked him if both him and Carol could go and he said that only he could go. So I tried Scott and got no answer so I started getting dressed. I then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there. I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. Troy was the medic this morning and Carl was his EMT. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Tory off at Sheetz and then I ran over to Shell and got fuel for the unit and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then fell asleep in the chair in the living room until the pager went off again at 11:15 hours for a Diabetic Problem in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and then got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Troy and his paramedic student at the squad and then ran out to Dohn's place and picked up my car. I then headed back into the shed and logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then ran up to Sheetz and grabbed something to eat for dinner and then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things while I ate dinner. I then headed up to the fire house for the festival meeting tonight. I talked to Jess and I am going to help her wash the Utility on Wednesday afternoon. After the meeting was over me and Dave found a 2 x 12 in the old fire house to use for the candy wheel. We then washed the Engine for the Lykens parade tomorrow night. After that I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to go to bed as I am tired again.

Broken Ankle

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 09:30 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and Engine 29-1 was already there on scene. We ended up placing ALS in service and with the help from the fire company we got him loaded up and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

In Sue and Amanda's Bed's

After I got my hair cut last night, I swung by Sue and Amanda's house to pay for my tail light. They were just backing the ambulance into the driveway when I pulled up. I went inside and then Alf, Kim and the kids pulled up. Amanda and Kim were going to go to the gym to work out. Once they got in, Sue and Amanda invted us to come upstairs and take a look at their new matteress. Amanda told me and Alf to lay on her bed to get a feel of the matteress. Boy I tell you want, that is some comfortable foam. They got those temperpedic matteress, and boy are they ever comfortable. We then went over and tried out Sue's matteress. Then me, Sue and Alf sat around the kitchen table and talked. Kim then had to take Matt home as he was not feeling well. Alf then took Jessica home and then me and Sue moved into the living room and talked and then Amanda joined us. I left there around 23:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then went to bed. I got up this morning around 10:30 hours to get a drink and I just layed back down in bed when the pager went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then Sue called me on the cell phone. I told her to meet me at the church. I then got in my car and headed up to the church. I pulled in and Sue put us responding and county said that Medic 6 had placed us in service. Medic 6-2 then got on the radio and told us to continue in. Well we got as far as Heim's and MICU 6-5 went responding and put us in service. So we turned around and she dropped me off at the church and I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and then started to read the paper when at 12:30 hours the pager went off for back pains in Jackson Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and called Sue's cell phone right away. I told her to go to the scene and that I would meet her there. I got there the same time as here and parked in the lot across the street. We called Scott and Alf to come help us get the stretcher down off of the back porch. We got her loaded up and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front Street and both got something to drink and then continued on our way. Sue ran me back out to my car and once I got that, I headed into the "Barn". Once there I logged both of our times in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed out to her house to hang for the afternoon since we were both on call. I was there for about 2-1/2 hours and then she decided to head to the gym. She took the unit with her so I decided to head home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and something to eat for dinner. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and finished reading the paper while I watched MASH. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. MASH

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up at 07:37 hours this morning to go to the bathroom. I came back over into my room and had just reset my alarm for 08:15 hours when the pager went off for bleeding in Halifax Township. I got dressed and then got in my car and headed to the "Barn". I got there and parked and Dohn pulled in behind me. I went inside and we got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and Tindel came and took a look at her and relased her to BLS. So then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then I headed on home to grab my pizza. Once I had grabbed the pizza I headed back into town. I dropped off one of my mother's perscriptions at Rite Aid. I had just got in my car when Kim sent me a text message that the matteress had just been delivered and I did not need to come over. I called her and told her that I was still going to come over becuase I had to pick up my tail light. I got there and picked up the tail light and put it in while I was still at their house. I then stopped back at Rite Aid and picked up my mothers medication and then stopped at the shed and dropped off my schedule and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I was relaxing on the love seat when around 12:28 hours the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and parked and then got in 13-1 and off we went. We got the guy loaded up and took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped Jim off at his squad and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things. I went off duty at 17:00 hours because I get my hair cut tonight. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I am soon going to leave to go in and get my hair cut. I then have to stop at Sue and Amanda's and pay Amanda for the tail light. Car in the new Garage

Went to bed last night at 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read part of the paper. I then got things together and got in my car and headed on down to the garage to have regular service done to my car. I got down there and parked and went inside to talk to Amanda. I told her what I needed done and she got some basic information from me. I then waited on my car and her and me talked for most of the time I waited. Bob then came in and said my car was done. He told me the sound in my engine was defiantly my lifter and to replace it would be anywhere from $800 to $1,000 dollars for the one. I told him that I would live with the noise for now and if it got worse I woulc bring it back in. I then went over to my grandparents house to visit until the EMA training at county tonight. I visitied with them all afternoon and my mother was down there also. I ate lunch at their and then my father came over after work and him and me went up to Pizza Hut and had dinner and then headed back to their house. We then went over to county for EMA training. It was a short training session as we were out of there by 20:00 hours. We both headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. Look at the Rain

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours as I was falling asleep at the computer. I was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:30 hours when the pager went off for a pshycatric person in Upper Paxton Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to the station. I got there and pulled in behind Dohn. I went inside and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got up there and got the kid loaded up and we headed on down to Hershey Medical Center. While we were on this call, there was a bomb scare on Mountain House Road in the area of Harman's Stoves. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. Then around 16:55 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. By that time it was raining to beat the band. I got there and parked and then got in 13-1 and off we went. We ended up being placed in service as the lady only had a nose bleed. We turned around and once I got my car I headed on home. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

My Cherry was Finally Popped

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 09:10 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Halifax Township at Community Medical Associates. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then ran out and picked up my car. I then headed back into the "Barn". I got there and Carol was leaving. I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. By the time I got back home I was off duty at noon time. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner and then ran up to the fire house for the meeting. I decided to clean up some of the trophies from 2005 and put them on top of the fridge with the rest of the trophies from last year. I then went up to the hall for the meeting. The meeting was short. Afterwards, me, Dave and LeeAnn were sitting outside of the fire house talking about the stand we want to do at the Millersburg Bicentinal. We were sitting there when county dispatched a vehicle fire in Jackson Township. We all got our gear on and Lonny came up from Bubba's house and we all got in the Engine and off we went. As we were pulling out of the station I started packing up. Dave told me to back him up on the trash line and for LeeAnn to grab a Holigan bar and a pick head axe to force the hood. As we crested the hill after the Faust Farm, we saw quite a column of smoke showing. We pulled up and the truck was realling rocking. We got out and me, Dave and Matt pulled the trash line off of the Engine and went to work on the truck. We got it knocked down. We then did overhual and then we ran into Halifax to top the water tank off and then filled up at Shell. We had Jamie and Jason take the Utility into Station 29 to fill the cylinders that we used. We then headed back to the station to repacked the trash line. We then talked some more and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then hit the sack as I was drained.

Boyd's Bear Bingo

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer and added the list of winners from the convention to the county site. I then headed up to the fire house around 12:10 hours. LeeAnn was already there when I got there. I parked and went into the hall and set a few things up. I then basically sat around and waited for everyone else to show up and then for 14:00 hours so we could start bingo. We started bingo at 14:00 hours and we finished up around 16:30 hours. Bingo went very good. Only 4 times out of the 20 did people choose cash over a bear. After bingo was over, I went down to the fire house and looked at the year book from the Lebanon County Convention. Once I was done with that, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now eating dinner and getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Lebanon County Convention Parade

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into my dress uniform. I then grabbed a few snacks and then headed up to the fire house. Jason was already there when I got there. LeeAnn then came next followed by Bubba. Once everyone was there, I threw my gear in the back of the Utility and off we went. We drove straight down to Richland Borough in Lebanon County. We went to registration and pre-judging. After we wipped the trucks down we proceeded to judging. I thought the judging was pretty good, thought they did do some white glove judging of the trucks. After we got judged we ate at a place called the Railroad Diner. Breakfast was very good at the place. After we were done there we went and got lined up. We then sat there for about 2-1/2 hours before the parade started. The parade started closer to 13:30 hours instead of the 13:00 hours that it was supposed to. We did not start moving until 14:05 hours and as we were coming out, the beginning of the parade was already coming back to the start of the parade, and there was still two rows of apparatus behind us. After the parade was over, we got a ride down to the fire house. I then got chicken tenders and fries to eat and a Pepsi to drink. I then had some soft serve ice cream. We then waited around for the awards to be announced. The Tanker took home the 1st Place trophy for Most Functional and Equipped Pumper/Tanker with a minimum of 2,000 gallons, along with a $100.00 check. After we got the check, we all pilled into Bubba an Robins car and Robin drove us back up to the trucks. Once there we did the run through town and then headed on home. It was about a 1-1/2 hour drive down and it seemed a little longer on the way home for some reason. We stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the fire house. Once we got there Bill came out and took pictures of the trophies. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Getting Ready for Lebanon County Convention Parade

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 09:17 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Millersburg Borough at the Frederick Health Center. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there. I parked and went inside and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then ran over to Shell and got fuel for in the ambulance and then headed back to the shed. Bill and Carol were there when we got back. I logged my time in and re stocked the unit and then did the paperwork from the call. Mom then called me and asked me if I would run up to Giant and pick up a few things for at home. So after I left the shed and ran up to Giant and picked up the things and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things and then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then headed up to the fire house at 18:30 hours. Bubba was there when I got there. Robby and LeeAnn then came in along with Bill. I read over the letter that Bubba is sending to the county association and I made a few suggestions to him about some things to change. They then left to go to Shade Mt. I pulled the Engine out and then the Utility and washed the Utility and put both away. I then had a Coors Light and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to hit the sack as I need to get up early for the parade.

My Day at Sue's

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 07:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and made a sandwich. I then got in my car and headed over to Sue's house. I talked to her on my way over and once I got there I grabbed her paper out of the paper bin and took it inside. Once I was inside, Eros was all over me and I let him go out back. I then read the paper and then setteled down to watch some Comcast Digital Cable. I let Eros out 3 more times during the day. Sears came around 10:30 hours and took a look at their dish washer and told me what to tell Sue. I then decided to just hang out at Sue's house and enjoy my day off. I ate lunch and then watched All My Children on TV. I then wacthed a movie and then Sue and Bob got home around 17:40 hours. I talked to both of them for a little bit and then I decided to head on home since Amanda asked me to cover for her a little bit tonight starting at 19:00 hours. I stopped at Rite Aid and picked up a father's day card for my dad. I then headed on home. Once at home I changed into my uniform and then ate dinner. I then ran up to the fire house. I got there and the Tanker was already out and LeeAnn and Bill were talking. Bubba then came up from his house from eating dinner and then finished washing the Tanker. I helpded him do a little bit of washing but not to much so that I would not get wet. Once he backed the Tanker in, the four of us sat down and we talked about the Williamstown incidents. We all left the fire house around 21:50 hours. I headed on home and am now getting ready to hit the old emial and surf the net. More Trophies

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:30 hours when Bubba called my cell phone to tell me that he was ready to start washing the Tanker. So I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then got my badges on my uniform shirt and then headed up to the fire house. When I got there, Bubba was already washing the Tanker and he asked me if I wanted to take the Utility over to the parade, which I told him was not a problem. So I helped him finish washing the Tanker and then he said he had to run into town and have lunch with Robin. So I ran home and had lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. I then headed up to the fire house around 13:00 hours. I then washed the Utility and while we were there, it started to rain, and then pour. Jason called back and said that he could go with me to the parade. Bubba said he was not sure if we were going to go now since it had rained out. I kept telling him that I really wanted to go and he fianlly said that we could go. We got over there and got judged and then went through the parade. It was a light and siren parade which meant we got to play with the siren during the parade. After the parade was over we went back to the carnival grounds and got something to eat and played some of the games. They then haded out the awards and we brought home the 1st place trophy for Best Appearing Tanker and Best Appearing Company. We then headed on back to Dauphin County. We stopped at Shell and got fuel for the trucks and then went back to the fire station. Once there we unloaded our gear and then we all headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old sack as I am tired.

Slow Day

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then read the paper. I then ate lunch while I watched All My Children on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I ate dinner while I was on the computer and watched MASH. I then headed up to the fire house once I got off at 18:00 hours. When I got there, Bubba, LeeAnn and Bill were already there. Bubba was working on changing the oil on his car. Once he was done he pulled it out and had me back the Utility in and got it up on th blocks so he could change the oil it that. Once he was done with the Utility, he pulled Robin's van in and worked on that. He then went down to the house and ate dinner and Helen stopped in. Bubba then came back up and backed the Engine in and then the three of us worked on the Engine, with me and LeeAnn helping him. Bubba then asked me if I wanted to go with him to a parade in Liverpool tomorrow evening, and I said yes and he told me it was dress blues. Once we were done we talked about the parade on Saturday. We then all left and I headed on home. Once at home I put a load of colored clothes in the washing machine so my uniform could be washed for tomorrow evening. I am then going to take a shower and then going to check my email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Sleep In

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this afternoon at 13:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch while I read the paper. Around 14:20 hours the pager went off for abdominal pains in Millersburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Once I got there I parked and then got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on home. We dropped the medic off at Sheetz and then I ran out to Dohn's house and picked up my car. I then ran to Giant and picked up 2 gallons of Diet Iced Tea and then ran up to Sheetz and got something to eat for dinner. I then headed back to the shed and logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Two in One Day

Went to bed last night somewhere around 02:00 hours I believe it was as I was really tired and started falling asleep at the computer. I got up around 06:53 hours and went to the bathroom. As I was coming out of the bathroom, the fire pager went off for a cardiac arrest on Quarry Road. I quickly got dressed and got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Robby was already there. I ran in and got my pants on and then Bubba came in, followed by my father, LeeAnn, and Jason. That was one more then we could carry on the Engine, so Bubba told me to jump out and take the Utility. I quickly jumped out and ran back inside and threw my gear in the Utility, got in and took off. I followed the Engine and then Jamie Stoneroad got in line behind me. We got there and Lonny and Dave were already there along with Medic 6. We went inside and I switched out doing CPR with Dave, but it ended up being a Signal 12. We then all headed back to the fire house. Once back there we sat around and shot the shit and then we all slowly trickled out and headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed and slept until I got up at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and then read the paper. I then got on my coumpter to update the County Firemen's website and the fire company's website, and then did some things online while I watched the race and ate dinner. Then around 20:50 hours, the fire pager went off again for a shed fire on Enders Road. It was Wil's shed where he kepts his tractor and other farm machinery. I got my shoes on and got in my car and took off for the fire house. As I crested the hill, I saw white smoke coming from the shed down by his corn crib. I got up to the fire house and I was the first one there. Helen and Kenny came down and Kenny grabbed gear and then the left. I turned the lights on and got my pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and opened both bay doors open. I went over to the Engine and pulled the plug and started the Engine up. I then went over to the passenger's side and put my helmet in the front and put my jacket on the hood of the Utility. I grabbed the glass case out of my jacket and took my glasses and hearing aid out and sat it on the middle consoule in the Engine as I knew I was packing up for this call. Eric then showed up, followed by my father, LeeAnn and then Jason. As they came in I yelled that we had no driver for the Engine, and LeeAnn said that she had seen Dave pull in. I then got in the officers seat and everyone else got in. We told Jason to bring the Utility, but he could not find hsi pants or boots. We pulled out and before we even left the station I was starting to pack up. We got there and it ended up just being his tractor that had caught on fire and he had it knocked down with a dry chem extinguisher. We were there for about one hour and then headed back to the station. Once there Robby and a few of the guys looked at the generator on the Engine, while the ones that had packed up, myself included cleaned our masks and put them back in the Engine. Me and Dave then ran into the pump house and filled the Engine back up and then headed back to the Station. Once there, myself, LeeAnn, Holly and Dave all shot the shit and then we all left and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The Best County Convention Ever!

I went to bed Thursday night around 02:30 hours. I took a Benadryl before I went to bed to try and help the swelling in my left hand from some kind of bug bite. I got out of bed around 09:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the comics. I then got changed into my county firemen's t-shirt and jeans. My father and me then got in his truck and headed on down to Hummelstown for the convention. We stopped at Sam's Club and my father got gas in his truck. We then took the back way into Hummelstown and went to the fire house. Once there and we parked we went upstairs to the social hall. We signed in and got our goodie bags and then we started to socialize and the meeting got started at 12:30 hours. The meeting was good. My father had written a letter to the President about what took place at last months executive officers meeting and what the future of the association could look like. Lunch was good, they had mostly cold cuts to make sandwichs. When it was time for nominations of officers, I got nominated for Junior Vice President. Bill Twilley also got nominated for Junior Vice President. So a vote had to be taken. We would not find out the results until after dinner that evening. We then had the memorial service and then headed back to the fire house for dinner. Dinner was very good and then we had the evening business session. I won Junior Vice President. After the meeting was over we had the entertainment. After the entertainment was over we headed on back. My father stopped at Lowe's and picked up two things and then we continued on home. Sue called and I missed her so I called her back and we talk for about 30 minutes. It got really dark and bad looking out and then we started to see a lot of lighting. We got home just as it opened up. I changed clothes and then headed up to the fire house to sit until the storm went away and then me and Jason could wash the Utility. I got there and got put to work helping with the crosslays on the Tanker by the time I got there. While we were doing hose on the Tanker, when the pager went off for a vehicle fire on Straws Chruch Road.I loaded by gear into Bubba's truc. Anyway I ended up taking a Judg's award and BVubba took 1sr placw with the Tanker. I am now going to sleep as I am really tired.

Swollen Hand

Went to bed last night at 03:12 hours and got out of bed this morning at 12:00 hours. I got dressed and then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then watched All My Children on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. Around 14:20 hours the pager went off for syncope in Halifax Borough. It is one of our frequent flyers that we take down. I got mt boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". Carol was there when I got there. I parked my car and then got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got him loaded up and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to Shell and got fuel for the unit and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Bubba, Jason, Helen, LeeAnn, Kenny and Bill were all there. I talkedto Bill and Jason and then Bubba put some more gas in the pressure washer. I asked him if he wanted me to run into Shell and get gas and he said yes, and then he also told me to call Station 29 and see if anyone was in there so we could get our cylinders filled. Once I knew that someone was going to be in there, I loaded the Utility up and then me and Jason headed on in to town. We stopped at Shell first and then ran over to Station 29. After we were done, we headed on back. I then helped Bubba wash some things on the Tanker and move some things around. I also helped do a few things on the Engine. I left there around 23:40 hours and ran up to Wal-Mart and got a new pair of sneakers. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

First Engine In

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 08:25 hours when the EMS pager went off for a structure fire in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got my socks on when the fire pager went off. I quickly got dressed and my father was in front of me going out the door. I got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Bruce was already there. I parked my car and headed inside. Bruce was getting his pants on and he had the Tanker running. I told him that they had only asked for the Engine. About that time, Bubba walked in and grabbed his gear. I grabbed my jacket and helmet and got in the right rear jump seat. Bruce drove, Bubba was in the officers seat. My father was in the middle and Ray was in the left jump seat. We pulled out and went responding and Dave came over to the engine and kicked Ray out. Dave got in and started getting his gear on and then he started packing up. At that point I figured that I had better pack up also. I got my jacket zipped and then put my hood on. I got the SCBA on and then grabbed my mask and put it on. We ended up being the first engine in and me and Dave were the first in team. Skip and another one of 29's firefighters had the fire knocked down by the time we got there. We stilled pulled a crosslay off and laid it to the front door. We checked the second floor for extension and found none. I was really stooked as it was my first time that I went into a house with an air pack on, other then for training. After we rolled the hose up, we headed back to the fire house. I cleaned up my mask and then I helped Bubba with the report. I then talked to him for a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I ate lunch while I did a few things on the computer. I then left the house at 14:30 hours and headed up to the fire house. Bubba pulled in the same time that I did. I took the tape off of the tailgate on the Utility and the generator. I then put the generator back in the Utility. Jason then showed up and I moved the Engine out and then the Utility. We sprayed the wheel wells of the Utility and then I turned the Engine around and nosed it into the station. I then ordered a pizza and once it got there I ate dinner until LeeAnn and Helen got there. We repacked the crosslay and then helped them wash the Engine and dry it off. We were done by 22:20 hours and Helen headed on home. Jason left around 20:20 hours. Me and LeeAnn sat down and then talked some and I left the fire house at 00:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to hit the sack as I am tired.

A Busy Day

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 08:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at the Manor at Susquehanna Village. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there and had 13-1 pulled out. I parked and got in and off we went. Medic 6-2 was there before we got there and once we got there, we got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Osteopathic Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We were just passing the high school when county called us and asked us where we were. We told them and they asked us if we still had Medic 6 with us and again we said yes. They told us to copy and respond and we got dispatched to Heart Problems in Upper Paxton Township at the Manor at Susquehanna Village. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back again. This time we were able to drop the medic off at his squad and then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and restocked the unit and grabbed my check. I then ran up to the bank and cashed my check and then ran over to Sheetz and got something to eat for lunch. I then headed back to the shed, Once back there I did my tripsheet from Friday and the two tripsheets from today. I then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I left the house at 17:20 hours and headed up to the Mountain House to meet the couple that I won the 1934 County Convention Book from and pick up my books. I paid them and took a look at the books and then headed on home. Once at home I finished up the the computer. I then left the house at 18:05 hours and headed up to the fire house. When I got there Bill, and LeeAnn were there, along with Alf. Alf was meeting me to give me cert's for me and my dad from county. I got them and put them in my car and then LeeAnn pulled the Engine out and I pulled the Utility out. Jason then showed up and we painted the generator and then I painted the tailgate of the Utility. We then helped them repack the crosslays and then we put everything back in the station and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating a light snack. I am now getting ready check the old email and then going to hit the sack.

Long Night Again

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and I got up this morning at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I watched a little TV. I went off duty at 12:00 hours today and I went back to my room to do a few things on the computer and to watch the race from Dover today, since it was rainned out yesterday. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left the house at 17:42 hours and headed up to the fire house. I put Bill's fudge in the fridge in the fire house. Bubba was at the station when I got there and we talked. Jason then showed up, followed by Bill, LeeAnn and then my father walked in. I then went up to the hall and Martha, Helen, LeeAnn, and Lonny were already there. The meeting went good and after the meeting I talked to Jess and thanked her for coming to the party. I then went down to the fire house and, myself, Lonny, LeeAnn, Dave, Holly, Bubba, Bill and my father all talked. Helen then came in and Lonny left. Once Bubba moved the Tanker around and I nosed the Utility into the Engine bay, me and Jason cleaned up the cab of the utility. We then helped Bubba with the Tanker. Me and Bubba left the fire house around 00:30 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Biggest Surprise of my LIfe

I went to bed Friday night at 03:00 hours and got up at 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and ate lunch. Bill then called me around 13:00 hours and asked me why I hadn't called him back yet. I told him I did not hear my phone ring. When I checked my phone, I saw that Bubba had called me also. So I called him back and he told me that I could disregard. I asked him what he wanted anyway and he said he was wondering if I could help Lonny fill two pools. I told him to call Lonny and ask him if he wanted my help and call me back. About 3 minutes later, Bubba called me back and told me that Lonny would pick me up at the fire house. So I got my shoes on and headed up to the fire house. I got there and grabbed my gear and waited out fron for Lonny to show up. Once he got there and I threw in my gear, we headed into the pump house. After we refilled, we headed back to the pool Lonny had come from to top it off. After we were done there, we headed back into the pump house and filled up again. We then went to Dr. Dan's place to top off his pool. We then went back into the pump house again and Lonny called a few people that Bubba was supposed to do Sunday and we moved two of them up to yesterday. So me and Lonny filled those two and then headed to one in Millersburg. After we did the first load at the one in Millersburg, when we were on our way back to the pump house, Bill called me. He told me that Andy needed my help with something at the hall right away. I asked him if it could wait until we were done filling pools and he said no. So I asked Lonny if he would be ok by himself and he said yes. Bill said he would pick me up at the pump house and take me out to the station. So once at the pump house, Bill picked me up and we went back to the fire house. I put my gear away and then he told me to come up to the hall. When I walked in, it was a surprise birthday party for me. I was totally blown away that they had planned a surprise party for me. Along with Bill, Amanda, Ashlee, LeeAnn, Barb, Andy, Helen and Jason were all there. Amanda said her and Ashlee had to leave shortly to go somewhere. So I got a few pictures with them and then they left. LeeAnn and Helen said if I wanted to go home and take a quick shower, I could, which I said I would. So I quickly ran home and took a shower and then headed back up to the fire hall. As soon as I walked in the hall, I grabbed a Coors Light out of the cooler. I then went over and grabbed something to eat. Sue and Bob came in next and when they came in, I was starting on my second beer. Alf and Kim came in next and by that time I was either finishing my second beer or on my third beer. I was on my fifth beer when Jason gave me a shot of Wild Turkey, which I later found out was 101% proof. They then brought the cake out and it looked very nice and Bill got a few pictures of it. I then blew the candles out. I asked Bill to give me a big piece, but he ended up cutting me a huge piece. After I was done with my cake, I went to the bathroom and then washed my hands. I then came out and finished my fifth beer and got my sixth, When Sue, Bob, Kim and Alf left, I was starting my sixth beer. I got two pictures taken with Sue and Kim and I think I accidently rubbed up against Sue's left breast, not sure. I then went over and rubbed Alf's head a few times and then gave Bob a hug. Bob told me not to drink too much. Robin and Jess then came in. I remember talking to Jess and telling her to have a drink, but she said no cause she had Jaz with her. When I was on my sixth beer, Lonny came in. I remember calling him and asshole and saying that he was in on this so much and how he had me help fill pools to keep me away from the fire house. I then called Bubba and went outside and was leaning up against the hall. I remember Jason saying Helen wanted my keys. I told him that I was not going anywhere, but he still wanted them. I ended up giving them to Jason then. I came back inside and I remember them saying about I had white stuff all over my face. By the time I was almost done with my 8th beer, I got up and went back to the bathroom. I puked once and then kind of sat back. Jason and Andy then came in to check on me. I told them I was fine and then leaned foward again to puke in the toilet and I was told that I smacked my head off the back of the toilet. I don't remember feeling any pain when I did that. I then remember puking two more times. The last thing I remember doing in the bathroom was unwraping a new roll of toilet paper to wipe my forehead off as I was sweating to beat the band. I guess I then either laid back or passed out and fell backwards. The next thing I remember was hearing Jason, Andy and LeeAnn talking to me. I remember Jason saying he had to piss and I heard LeeAnn tell him to go in the women's bathroom. I remember laying there and telling Jason to just go ahead and piss over me. I then remember Andy and Lonny picking me up and kind of walking me out of the bathroom. They were going to sit me in a chair, but Helen told them to lay me on the floor. I remember them laying me on the floor. I then rememeber the kids hitting me with balloons and Lonny pouring water on my pants. I kept swinging at the kids and tyring to kick Lonny. I then remember Robin coming over and saying that the Chief was on her cell phone and I rememeber going "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!!" I hit Lonny a few times and then I rolled over onto my stomach. I them remember the kids still hitting me with the balloons and Lonny still pouring water on my pants. I kicked him a few more times and I remember Jeffery putting a cup on my head. I remember them taking pictures and I remember someone grabbing my cell phone. They next thing I remember is Jason saying that he had dibs on driving the Utility the next time if I could not stand up. I stood up and went HA at him and then laid back down. That was the very last thing I remember, until I woke up at 00:30 hours. I found out that Robin and Jess had left at 23:30 hours and that Lonny and LeeAnn had filled a swimming pool also. Jason, Andy, Barb, and Bill were still there. LeeAnn and Lonny then came in after I was up and moving around. I helped them clean up and I remember Andy asking me if I would be ok to drive home and I said yes. He said that him and Barb would follow me home. They took all the balloons that were in the hall and put them in my car while I was helping to clean up. When I went out to my car to leave and I saw the balloons, I was like, "Ha, ha guys, very funny." I ended up taking them out and popping them all. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I went inside and talked to my mom and then opened my gifts. Sue got me a copy of Stuff and Maxim magazine, along with a bag of twillzers and a card with a $25 gift card to Hooters in it. Amanda got me a card with a $50.00 check in it and the card was signed by her and Ashlee. Jason also got me a card. I flipped through the two magazines and then I went to bed at 03:00 hours.

I got up this morning at 12:30 hours and I got changed into street clothes. I then walked out and said something to my mom about running up to the hall and brining the cake and food home and she said that they just got back from doing that. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then called Sue and talked to her and thanked her for coming to the party last night. I also told her that it was kind of Bob to tell me not to drink to much. I then called Alf and talked to him shortly because he said he was in a meeting. I then called Jess and left her a message to call me back. I did the same thing with Amanda. Bill then called and we talked. I then called Bubba's house to talk to Robin, and Adam answered and asked how I was feeling. We talked for a little bit and he gave me Robin's cell number. I called her and left a voice message for her also. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and then headed up to the fire house around 17:10 hours. I talked to Bubba and LeeAnn at the fire house until my father showed up. I then went up to class. Along with myself, Helen, Bill and Nancy were there also. After class I went back down to the fire house to help Bubba with polishing the tanker. LeeAnn and Helen then ran into McDona;d's and I had them pick me up a vanilla milk shake. I then had that while me father asked me some questions about the engine since he will be driving it for convention. Once he left I pulled my car into the one bay and swept it out. I then moved my car back to behind the fire house and then I called Robin and talked to her for a little bit. I then went back inside and had a beer. LeeAnn asked me to finish hers, which I did. We all kind of helped Bubba with the Tanker. Jason left first, followed shortly by LeeAnn and then Bill. I helped Bubba finish polishing up the passengers side of the Tanker and then he backed it in and I back the Utility in and then he backed the Engine in and we talked a little bit more and then I headed on home around 23:30 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to go to bed as I am tired.

Little Black Dress Night

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:30 hours when the pager went off for a nose bleed in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and pulled in the same time as Carol. I went inside and we got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper. I then ate lunch while I watched TV. I then watched All My Children on TV. After the show was over, I got on the computer to do a few things. Around 16:25 hours the pager went off for heart problems in Millersburg Borough at the Health Center. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We ran the medic back up to his squad at the health center. We then ran back into Shell to get fuel. Kim was there with 13-1 getting fuel for that since Scott did not fuel it up last night. We then headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then was getting ready to leave when the pager went off for an allergic reaction in Millersburg Borough. Kim and Sue were now and were going to take the call. Aout 30 seconds later, the pager went off for back pains in Upper Paxton Township. Me and Dohn took that call. Sue and Kim were behind us on 147 heading towards Millersburg. There call ended up being in lower county and not in Millersburg, so they were placed in service. So I asked them if they wanted to take hte back pain call since they were the on duty crew and they said yes. So we turned around at the Red Rose Motel and they went by. We turned around and headed back to the shed. Once there I got in my car and headed to Sheetz to grab something to eat for dinner. Amanda and Ashley were there getting some gum. They were both very sexy looking in there little black dresses. After they left I ordered dinner and once I got it I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner. As I was finishing up the pager went off around 20:20 hours for a diabetic problem in Millersburg Borough. Alf called my cell phone and asked me if I was available to go and I told him that I was. So I got dressed and then got in my car and took my time heading into the "Barn". I got there and parked and got in 13-2 and we went responding. 20-1 placed us in service and said that they would handle. So I headed on home again. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net.
