A Slow Shift Again

Last night Scott Wertz called me around 18:05 hours and asked me if I could come in early. I told him I would be up there in 30 minutes. I got changed into my uniform and grabbed my suit case and drink and then headed on up to Eville. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up a half gallon of chocolate milk and then headed to the station. I got there and clocked in and Scott was there and Kathy and Tommy were on their way back from the Gratz Auction. Kahty left early and Scott put me and Tommy on the BLS truck for 1 and a half hours until the evening shift came in. At 19:45 hours the tones dropped for chest pains on South Crossroads Road in Washington Township. Tommy thought this was our call, when it was actually the Lykens Crew call. He decided that we would run to the scene to help. We got there and I got the guy in the back of the ambulance and got a blood pressure on him. Carl and Tim showed up and we switched trucks and headed back to the station. Stepler and the paramedic student were there and I talked to them. I then got on the computer to check my email and do a few other things. I then heard Sue and Kim get dispatched to Armstrong Street in Halifax Borough for chest pains. It was one of our frequent flyers again. Stepler and the student went in the Squad since he decided that Tommy and me would run the BLS truck for the night. They took the guy down to Harrisburg Hospital. Tommy then went to bed. Carl and Tim then came back to pick up 6-8 and take it back up to Lykens. I then backed 6-7 in and then went back into the office to wait for Stepler to get back. They got back and we talked and Sue answered my text messages. I then heard them get dispatched to an accident witn entrapment in Reed Township. Perry Medic 81 came over for it since it was close to the Clarks Ferry Bridge. They ended up flying the guy out since his foot was hanging just by the skin. I then went back to the bunk room to try and get some sleep. Bubba then called my cell phone around 01:45 hours and asked me what the call was for. I told him that I did not know as I was up at Medic 6 and did not have my pager on me at the moment. I then called Bill and asked him and he did not hear it. So I called Bubba back and asked him if he had found out and he said no. I then went back to bed until the tones dropped for a call in Lykens which Carl and Tim handeled. I went back to sleep again and then the tones went off again around 07:10 hours for a fall victim in Halifax Township. I heard Scott go responding rigth after they hit for us, so they cancelled us. I then got up around 07:30 hours and put my sheet and pillow away and then took my suitcase out to my car and then came in and grabbed my chocolate milk. I then got on the computer to check centralpafire.com and then sat around and talked with Kathy and John. I then left and headed on home. I ran up to the fire house to see what the call was and it ended up being a tree down in Mountain House Road. I then grabbed a patch to give to Stepler tomorrow morning and then headed on home. Once at home I talked to the parents for a little bit and then went to bed to try and get some more sleep. I was rocked out of bed at 11:55 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Jackson Township on the street above me, another one of our frequent flyers. Scott and Carol took it, which made me happy. I then got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then made and ate dinner while I was on the computer. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
