Bad Night at Carnival

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper while I watched All My Chidlren on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things and then ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then got changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 17:00 hours. I got up there and grabbed a power strip out of the kitchen and then went down to the station. I then pulled the Engine out and then pulled the Utility out and then backed the Engine back in. I then put the sign, wheel, money box, and wrappers in the cab, and then my gear in the back. I put the two clamp lights in the one compartment and then the power strip and some rope in the other driver's side compartment. Bubba then had me bring down the gas can off of the Utility for him to use in his lawn mower, since he had no gas at his house. He also gave me $5.00 to fill up the can after we were done at the carnival tonight. LeeAnn then showed up and we then loaded the cooler up and then headed on up to Millersburg. We got up there and put the wheel on and then put the wrappers up and then the lights. I then went over to Sean and asked him if they had a big tarp we could use to put over the stand, since the one we had was not big enough to cover the whole stand. They pulled one off of the truck and a few of there guys helped us set it up. It was not a good night as not a lot of people came out since it was going to rain. I then finally did rain and that finished the crowd off. The only people left were teens and they did not play any of the games. We closed up around 21:30 hours and headed on back. I passed, Sue, Amanda, Alf, Scott and Medic 6 sitting at a house on North River Road. We then went up to Shell and got fuel for the truck and filled the gas can up. Sue and Amanda went by and Sue blew the siren when she saw me wave. We then headed back to the fire house. Once there, LeeAnn pulled the Engine out and I backed the Utility in and then she backed the Engine in. We unloaded everything and then she headed on home. I then went up to the hall to count the money and Bubba stopped in. He helped me count the money and we made $24.75 for the night. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate a light snack. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Parade

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and ate lunch. I then went up to the fire house around 13:00 hours and Bubba was washing the Tanker. I helped him wash the Tanker and then Jason showed up. I pulled the Utility out and we both washed the Utility. We then put the pressure washer away and House and Bill showed up. Bubba then went down to his house to get a shower, Jason went home to get cleaned up and Bill left. I then headed on home and got changed and then headed back up to the fire house. Jason was already back and had put his gear in the back. I put my gear in the back and then put the wheel, sign, wrappers and money box in the front. Kenny then came down and then Troy showed up, followed by LeeAnn and then Robby and Tandee. We loaded up and I decided to ride shotgun tonight and let Jason drive. We loaded the cooler into the back of the Utility and then headed on up to Millersburg. We got there and regeistered and then lined up to be judged. I had Don Deppen as our judge and Steppler was judging antiques. We got judged and then the Engine got judged shorlty after us. Bubba did not get judged until about 6 minutes before we were to pull out. He was still getting judged when the parade started and was yet still being judged when we were ready to pull out. So we decided to sit there until Bubba was done and when he was, we left. The parade was nice, but it was a little unorganized. Sean said when I talked to him later that he was not happy with the Tanker judge, and he was not happy that no one told him that floats were going to be in the parade. Halfway through the parade, Andy came up to us and asked us where the candy was and we told him. He told us he was going to go get us set up awhile. After we parked, we walked down to the stand and then took over from Andy. The awards were handed out. We took 1st place with the Tanker and beat Williamstown, winning a check of $100.00 and we took 2nd place with the Utility and won a $50.00 check. We made $42.75 on the stand for the night, but once the awards were given out, the crowd disappeared. We closed down around 22:15 hours an were back at the station by 23:00 hours. We unloaded everything and then counted the money and then I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Essentials, Mod C

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then ate lunch and read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then went off duty at 14:00 hours and then ate dinner while I was on the computer doing a few things. I left the house at 17:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once there I put my gear in the trunk of my car and then I got the staple gun out, signs, and empty wrappers for the stand. I then went down to Bubba's and gave Robin the money box and explained everything to her. I then left to head on down to HACC. I stopped at the ambulance shed and picked up my mother's cake pan and then stopped at Shell and got a half gallon of orange drink and then continued on down to HACC. I got there and Lonny, Bill and a few of the other people were already there. We went up to the room and then Amanda came in. Boy was she looking nice tonight, especailly since she came from work. She had on a black and gold spaghetti strap top on, with a black jacket over top of that. She then had on jeans that were so tight that it kept pushing her zipper down, and then her signature red high heeled boots. Class went good and we had fun. It lasted until around 22:15 hours. Robin called just as class was ending. I walked with Amanda out to the parking lot and we said goodbye and then I called Robin back. She said that they were back already and it was a pretty dead night. I headed on home and stopped at the station to drop off my gear and pick up the money box and count it. We made $36.50 for the night, which is not bad. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Special Meeting

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I talked to Sue online for a little bit and then she called me and I talked to her while I made dinner. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and watched TV. I then left and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Bubba was working on mounting the flat shovel on the Tanker and Kenny, Troy, and Robby were cleaning the inside of the Engine. We then had the meeting and disscussed a lot of things. After the meeting was over, Bubba cleaned the inside of the Tanker and I told him I was going to wash the Utility on Wednesday since I work tomorrow and have Essentials tomorrow night at HACC until 22:30 hours. Then myself, Bubba, Martha, Troy, LeeAnn, Dave, and Holly sat around and they told stories of stuff that they did when they were in their teens. I then left there around 21:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Chicken BBQ

Went to bed Friday night at 02:00 hours and woke up Saturday morning at 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house to go through the charcoal. I got there and LeeAnn, Lonny, Helen, Kenny, House and Michelle were all there. They were all cleaning chickens when I got there. I asked House to come over and give me a hand with the charcoal. We started stacking it on the chicken trailer. I then decided to have House move the mower out and then we moved the trailer foward, that way I could start stacking boxes on the floor. Helen then asked House if he could mow the lawn while they cleaned the chickens and he said yes. So he mowed the lawn and I went through the charcoal and found all of the good Kingsford charcoal. Bubba then stopped in before he left for work. I then went over and got Kenny to come over and help me finish going through the last three stacks of charcoal before I killed myseld in the heat. We then started restacking the charcoal on the pallet and then we got everything cleaned up and the trailer moved back. I then went up and brought down the leftover chocolate ice cream from the festival for all of us to have. House finished mowing the lawn and then they left. Lonny then went down to Bubba's house and Helen and Kenny went home. LeeAnn ran home to get shower before she started working on the potato's, applesauce and rolls. Bill was going to run into town to get something to eat and me and LeeAnn gave him a list of our stuff. They both left and I went up to the hall and turned the air conditioner's on. Bill then called and said that they had gotten hit for a call and I told him that I would be on my way into pick up the list and money. I picked the money and list up from him and then went to McDonald's and got LeeAnn's stuff. I then stopped at Shell and got an orange drink for myself and then went to Sheetz and got my dinner. I then went back to the fire house. I got there and LeeAnn was back and Helen came over to help until she had to leave on her date. Kenny then came over and helped us. We then cleaned up and both headed on home. Once at home, I found out that my internet was down, so I had no internet for the night. I decided to take a shower and then watched TV until 02:00 hours and then I went to bed. I got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got up and got changed into street clothes and then I got the paper and read the comics. I then grabbed a orange drink for the day, and my breakfast and headed up to the fire house. I got there and parked and put my drink in the fridge in the fire house. I then opened up the hall and turned the air conditioner's on and then ate breakfast. I then went down to the old fire house and got the pit ready with charcoal. Meanwhile, LeeAnn had showed up and and got everything started in the kitchen. Once I was done in the old fire house. I went up to the hall until Dave showed up. Once he got there, I asked him if he wanted to set the canopy up since it was pissing outside. He got on the computer and looked at the weather. While we were doing that, Katina and Ray showed up. We then asked Katina's opinion and we decided to just set it up awhile that way we had it all set up if we needed it. Jason then pulled in and the four of us got the canopy set up. We then pulled the pit out and got it started. Holly and the baby then showed up, followed by House and Michelle, Andy, Troy, and then Jean. Helen came over at some point and then Kenny came down. We got the chickens on and it did not take long until they were ready to be taken off. Half way through cooking the chickens, we decided to take the canopy down since the sky had cleared up. Jean then had run into Giant and got some oven cleaner, since we decided to pressure wash the racks and the trailer. We sprayed this stuff on and it seemed to help. So Dave then ran into Giant a little later and got 3 more cans. Once he got back, we sprayed the stuff on. While we were spraying the stuff on, the wind shifted, and the spray came back on me, buring a small spot on my left cheek. We then waited around for the people to start coming. We ended up spliting 17 halves among all of us. Robby then showed up around 14:00 hours and then at 14:30 hours we got the stand loaded up in the back of his truck and headed on up to Millersburg. We got up there and set the stand up and then came back to the fire house. I then grabbed the gas can and the cooler and threw them in the back of the Utility. I then grabbed my gear and put that in the passenger seat of the Utility and then headed up to Wal-Mart to get candy. I stopped at Shell and got gas and an orange drink for me. I then went up to Wal-Mart and got the candy and then came back. When I got back, Bubba, had Robin's van in the fire house and him and Troy were working on replacing the spark plugs in it. Robby then started helping once he was done finding the leak in his truck. Robin then ran up towards Lykens for something and got us all something from Dairy Queen. I got a large vanilla in a dish. They then had the officers meeting tonight and I did some things around the fire house. We backed the units in around 21:40 hours and then we headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then put some cream on my burn. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Signal 12

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning at 05:42 hours when the pager went off for chest pains in Millersburg Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got in there and had so much time before Dohn got there, that I was able to drop the cake off that my mother made to the funeral dinner today, unplug 13-2, get in and record the mileage, turn it on and get in the passenger's seat before Dohn even pulled in. Dohn got in and off we went. We got in Millersburg and made a wrong turn on Pine Street, which was actually a good thing, as county then asked us to divert to SLV for breathing problems while 6-5 handeled the chest pains call. We went responding andd we got there and the nurse said the doctor wanted the Pt. to go to Evan in Lewistown. I talked to the nurse and found out what the Pt. was all complaining of and I told the nurse the we did not feel comfortable transporting the Pt. in her condition to Evan and would like to transport her to Harrisburg Hospital. We met Perry Medic 81 at Engle-Rissinger's and then continued on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. After I was done I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of iced tea and two bags of chips. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got on my computer and watched a little TV. Then around 10:45 hours the pager went off for a cardiac arrest in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. Scott got there and called a signal 12. We went in class 3 and stayed and helped Hoover's Funeral Home with removing the body from the house. We then went back out to Dohn's house and once I picked up my car, I headed back into the shed. Once there, I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch while I watched TV and did a few things on the computer. Sue then called at 14:54 hours and we talked for 25 minutes. Then around 15:50 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough at Polk Appartments. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. We did not get far when 20 got out and we were put in service. We turned around and I got my car and headed on home. Once at home I got back on the computer and then ate dinner while I was on the computer and watched some TV. Another Training Class

I went to bed last night around 02:10 hours and got up this afternoon at 14:30 hours. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. I then ate dinner while I got on the computer to do a few things. I then left the house around 17:30 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once at the fire house I dropped off copies of my cert's and then headed up to Eville's station to RIT Awareness Training for tonight. I got up there and pulled in behind LeeAnn and Helen. I got out and the three of us went inside. Lonny came in next and then Robby was the last one from our company to come in. The training was very, very good. I know it got me thinking about a lot of things and Robby said the same thing. Right as class started, Sue called me to ask me about which end of Rutter Road to go to to get to the call. I told her where to go and that I was in class and she said that she would talk to me later. The class lasted about 4 hours and we got out of there a little after 22:00 hours. I left and headed on home and once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Good Meal and Good Training

Went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then did my taxes and ordered more checks. I then talked to Bill for a little bit and then exchanged a few texts back and forth with Sue. I then left the house at 15:55 hours and headed up to the fire house. Bubba was there when I got there. He pulled the Engine out and I pulled the Utility out. We then got in and started towards the Holiday Inn East for the Pipeline Emergency Response Training for the night. We stopped at Shell so Bubba could get a tea. We then continued on down to Front Street to pick LeeAnn up at the county courthouse so she could go to training also. We got down there and went in and registered and then went in and got all of the free stuff that the pipeline companies were giving away. We then sat down at a table and then Joe Nickle and Brad came in and we invited them to sit with us. Dinner was very, very good. I had bbq chicken and Beef bbq. Very, Very Good. We then had training for a little over a hour and it was very good and very informative. After the training was over, we picked up our cert's and then started on our way home. We stopped at Shell and I put fuel in the Utility. We then dropped LeeAnn off at her car at Archer's and then headed back to the station. We got there and LeeAnn had beat us there. Bubba pulled the Engine back out and I backed the Utility in. We then talked for a little bit and then we all left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. Another Day at Sue's and a Preganacy

Went to bed last night around 02:20 hours and got up this morning at 07:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and re-set my alarm to 07:15 hours and went back to bed. I got up at 07:15 hours when the alarm went off again. I got out of bed and got dressed and then packed a lunch and grabbed an Orange Drink and then got in my car and left the house around 07:30 hours and headed into Sue'e house. I stopped and Sheetz and got a small bag of chips for lunch and a chocolate milk to go with my breakfast. I then headed over to her house. I got there and Sue had just walked out the front door. She left it unlocked for me and I talked to her for a little bit before she left to head to work. I went in and was met by Eros. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then played with Eros for most of the morning until the repair guy from Sears showed up at 10:00 hours. I called Sue like she wanted me to and told her the guy was here. She then called the house to talk to him. I had just hung up with her when I heard Millersburg abd Medic 6 get hit for a preganacy in Millersburg Borough. I had heard 20-1 go arriving at Holy Spirit Hospital about 20 minutes earlier, so I knew we were going to get hit, but I was kind of hoping we would not. Of course we did, so I quickly called Sue and told her what had happened and she told me to just let the guy in the house alone and that she would call the house again. I answered the phone and gave it to the repair guy and then put Eros in his cage and then got in my car and started towards the "Barn". Kim called me and asked me where I was and I told her I was coming from Sue's house and just passing McDonald's. She asked me if I wanted her to pick me up at the Post Office and I said sure. So she went responding and I parked at the Post Office and she came down Armstrong Street and I got in and we took off. 6-5 got there before we did and and we got there and John was on Millersburg PD and we got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We dropped the Medic off at Sheetz and then Kim dropped me off at my car. I then headed back to the shed and once there, I logged my times in and then did the paperwork from the call. Once I was done I headed back to Sue's house and once there I let Eros out of his cage and then ate lunch. Sue then called me to make sure I made it back to her house, which I said that I had. We talked for at least 20 minutes and then she got off because she was back at work. I then watched Smokey and the Bandit on TV and then started watching Space Balls when Sue and Amanda got home around 18:30 hours. Amanda then left to go meet someone for dinner at the Grub House. Sue and me then talked while she made and ate dinner. Bob then got home and I left the house around 20:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. Another Medical Assist on Detrich Road

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed at 05:37 hours when the fire pager went off for a medical assist for a cardiac arrest on Detrich Road in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and my father had opened up the side door for me and I ran out and jumped in my car and took off for the fire house. I got up there and pulled in and I heard the Engine come pulling out. I ran inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. I then ran out and got in the officer's seat of the Engine. Ray then got in the back of the Engine and we took off. We got there and we beat the Eville crew in. I had Ray get me a pair of gloves while we were on our way to the scene. Once there I grabbed the AED and a pocket mask from under the officer's seat and headed in the house. I got in there and asked the wife to move out of the way and I got the AED hooked up and on the guys chest. Bowser and Bruce then came in and Bowser got his monitor hooked up. Tommy and Tim them came in as the Lykens crew and startes helping out. House then came walking in the trailer. We sent him out to get the Reeve's liter from the unit and then Bruce switched out with me on the chest once Tim got a tube in the guy. We got the guy loaded up and took him out and got him loaded in the back of 6-3. Tommy then asked me to move 6-5 and I told him I would take it to our fire house and park it. I asked Bubba if that was ok and he said yes. They left in 6-3 and did not get very far when I heard Bowser call a signal 12. I drove 6-5 back to the station and met 6-3 there and Tommy and Tim got dropped off. We talked to them for a little bit and then I filled out a incident report while Bubba went home to get some sleep. I then headed up to Medic 6 and I picked up my pay check and printed out the new schedule and headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed and got up around 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then got changed into street clothes. I then filled out my schedule for down here at 13 and then ran into town. Scott got a hold of me and asked me to dropped the schedule off at his work, which I did. I then ran up to the bank and cashed my check. I then ran down to the massage place to get my massage today. It felt good to have a fulle body massage. The last time I was in there was 5 months ago. After I was done there, I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and watched TV. I then went up to the fire house around 18:00 hours for the meeting. The meeting went good and then they had the fire police meeting and then Bill had a meeting for everyone that was selling the entertainment books. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Lazy Day

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 13:30 hours as I had been really tired. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then talked to Bill for a little bit and then I got the PS2 and played a game of College Football. I ate dinner while I played on the PS2. I then got off and went over to my bedroom and called Bill to wish him a Happy Birthday. We then talked a little, I then called Sue and talked to her for a little bit and also found out how Eros is doing. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I am soon going to have a snack and am getting ready to hit the old emai land surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Shade Mountain

Left for the fire house at 19:00 hours and got up there and Bubba was at the fire house. I talked to him for a little bit and then head went down to his house to change and then he came back up. We walked down to his place around 19:30 hours and then people started to show up. LeeAnn pulled in next and then Troy, Jess and Robin came out of the house. Jason and his dad Dave pulled in, and then Lyle came in. Roller Dave was the last person to show up as he came from work at Shell. We all then pilled in out assigned car for the night. I went with Bubba and Robin. Bubba drove and Dave rode up front. Then in the back seat it was me, Jason and Robin. We got over then and the place was nearly empty. We parked and all pilled in and I got a Coors Light. I then sat down and wrote out my songs and the special song for Bubba. I sang 4 times last night. Over all I had 7 Coors Lights and the following shots: a test tube shot of Purple Hooters, a Buttery Nipple, Rythmn and Blues, Lemon Drop, and 8 Yeager Bombs. I was totally trashed. I guess sometime around 01:00 hours I stumbeled out to the parking lot and decided to lay down behind Bubba's car since I was not feeling well. LeeAnn and Robin found me laying outside and they had Jason help them pick me up and shove me in the back of Bubba's car. They then shut the hatch and went back inside the bar. I was told that they then helped me out of the hatch and got me in the back seat of the car. I remember handing Bubba my glasses because I knew I was going to hang my head out of the window on the way home. I remember vomiting as we pulled out of the parking lot and that was all I remember until we got back to Bubba's house. I remember Robin telling me that she was going to sit my glasses on the center console in the car and then someone took a few pictures of me in the car. I woke up in the car around 05:40 hours. I grabbed my glasses and got out of the car and walked up to my car, got in and headed on home. Once at home I parked my car, went inside the house, went back to my bedroom, got out of my clothes and crashed in bed. I was rocked out of bed around 09:42 hours when the fire pager went off for a medical assist for a cardiac arrest in Jackson Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and headed out to my car. My father pulled out of the driveway as I got in my car. I got up there and pulled in and parked. I went inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet and went over to the Engine. Robby was driving and Bubba was in the officer's seat. My father got in behind Bubba so I went around to the driver's side and Troy was in the seat. I motioned for him to slide to the middle and I got in. Troy got his bunker pants on while we were on our way to the scene. We got there and it ended up not being a cardiac arrest, but an overdose. We stayed to help get the lady out of the trailer, because we ended up taking the window out of the bedroom and handed her out the window. Jason and Ray brought the Utility and LeeAnn and House went to the scene. We helped them load the lady in the back of the ambulance and then we all walked back up to the Engine. I got back up there and Fire Police were there directing traffic. Jean had the one end and Jess and Robin had the other. We then ran up to the Shell in Eville and got fuel and I grabbed a Gatorade since I was dehydrated again. We then headed back to the fire house and after we got back, we all sat around and shot the shit. Ray left first, followed by my father and then House left. We all then sat around and talked about last night at Shade Mountain. Bubba then brought his car up and he washed it while, me, LeeAnn and Troy watched. Bubba, LeeAnn, Jess, Troy and Robin then all got in the car and headed over to the Clarks Ferry Truck Stop and got breakfast around 13:10 hours. I headed on home and once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then went back to my room and laid down for a little bit. I then called Bubba at 15:00 hours to see if they were back yet and he said yes. I told my father that they were back and we went down to the shed and loaded the older air conditioner on the back of his truck and took it up to the fire hall. We then unloaded it and me, LeeAnn, Bubba and my father put it in the back window of the hall. My father then left and headed on home and we sat down in the fire house and shot the shit and tried not to fall asleep. Troy then came back and they put new rear shocks on Bubba's car. Bubba then wanted to take it for a test ride, so he put me, Troy and LeeAnn in the back seat and we went out to Kiner's and back. We got back and then we decided to go to Kiner's and fill hsis pond. We decided to use both trucks and the deck guns. We dumped 3 loads out of each truck. I called Bill and he came over and took some pictures of the trucks working. After we got out last load of water, we ran up to Shell and put fuel in the trucks. I was with Troy in the Engine and LeeAnn was with Bubba in the Tanker. We then headed back to the station and when we got there, Robin had made each of us a sub and got each of us a bag of chips. We then all sat around and shot the shit. Troy and Robby started drinking some of the beer that is in the fridge down in the fire house. He then grabbed a Coors Light for me and one for Bubba. Well Bubba didn't want his so he gave it to me, so I had two Coors Lights. I left there around 01:10 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Visit with Sue

Went and got my hair cut last night and I left there around 21:30 hours. I called Bubba and he said he was to tired and we would get together Friday afternoon. I then called Sue to see if it was to late to come over and she said that she was just laying around and she was going to go to bed soon. So I talked to her while I ran up and got gas at Sheetz and then headed on home. We ended up talking for one hour and thirty two minutes until she went to bed. I then took the trash out and then took a shower and then checked my email and went to bed around 02:30 hours. I got up this morning at 08:00 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read some of the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 08:30 hours to help the Tea guy unload our order of tea. He was already there when I got there and Bill was there also. He took all 25 cases inside the fire house and then left. Bill put his cases aside and I put my case aside. I then put the rest of the cases in the fridge in the hall and then I headed on home. Once at home I put my case in the fridge downstairs and then finished reading the paper. I then called Sue around 09:30 hours to see if she was up and she was. I told her I was on my way over and she asked me to stop at McDonald's and pick up some breakfast for her which I said was no problem. I stopped and got her breakfast and then went to her house. I got there and we sat and talked for about 3 hours. She then started to clean the house while we talked. Around 13:45 hours while she was scrubbing the kitchen floor, the pager went off for an unknown problem in Jackson Township. I got in my car and got in front of her in the ambulance so I could show her where to go. She followed behind me and then Scott fell in line behind her. We got as far as Fourth and Market Streets when we were placed in service. Sue took the unit back to the shed and parked it and then picked up her car and she headed back to the house and I followed her. She stopped at Shell and got something to snack on and she got me a Mountain Dew to drink. Meanwhile I headed back to her house and waited for her to get back. We went back inside and she finished scrubbing the kitchen floor and then cleaned the rest of the kitchen. She went off duty at 14:30 hours since she had to take Eros up to the vets in Eville at 17:15 hours. So I went on duty for her until 16:00 hours due to going to Shade Mountain tonight. I was going to go up to the vets with her so that she would not have to put Eros in his cage, as long as Bubba didn't call me to come out to the fire house. Bubba called me then to come out so we could go over the letter and type a letter in reply. I told Sue that I had to go out there and that I was sorry I couldn't go up with her. She said that was ok and that she would just put him in the cage. She had to leave to go over to Lori's house to put high lights in her hair for a wedding tomorrow. I said goodbye to her and told her to let me know what they find out with Eros. I then left and headed out to the fire house to met up with Bubba. I got there and Bill was there. I told him to go home and change since he was now on duty and covering for Sue. Me and Bubba then typed the letter up and then we sat around and talked. I then headed on home and am now finishing up dinner and then am going to change to head up to Shade Mountain tonight for some relaxation.

Great Interview's

I left the house last night around 19:30 hours and headed up to Lykens for my 12 hour over night shift at Medic 6. I passed the Lykens unit in Eville on their way down to the hospital. I got up there and parked and Tony was already there. I clocked in and he told me to go over and look at all of the compartments on the two new bags they put in service. They were set up like how Tindel set them up. I then had Tony go over how to set a 12 lead up with me. After that we walked down to the gas station so Tony could get something to drink. Once back I got on the computer and checked a few things. John and Kahty then got back from the call they were on and I did my rig check on 6-7. I then sat down and watched TV. I went to bed around 02:00 hours and did not get much sleep as I was on the other couch last night and was not used to sleeping on it. The tones dropped around 02:30 for an ALS call in Millersburg and Tindel took that one with the squad. Then around 05:20 hours the tones went off again for another ALS call in Millersburg and Tindel took it with the squad again. I finally got up around 06:30 and turned the TV on and watched TV. Ron came in first and then Kathy came in and we shot the shit for a little bit. I then clocked out and headed on down to the Eville station. Once down there I filled out my time clock amendment forum and then turned it in since I am done working for the month unless someone calls me to cover a shift for them. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I got undressed and then laid down in bed to go to sleep and Sue called. She was on her way to her interview and we talked for at least 29 minutes about her interview yesterday and a few other things until she got to the place and then I wished her good luck. I then went to sleep and woke up around 12:00 hours when Sue called me back to tell me how her interview went. We talked for another 30 minutes until she got to work. I then got up and got dressed and then ate lunch. I had started to read the paper and watch All My Children on TV when at 13:32 hours the pager went off for a chocking in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and pulled in and Carol had 13-2 pulled out already. We got there and the lady really had a seizure and was not chocking. We got her loaded up and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. We picked up Perry Medic 81 at 3 B's in Dauphin and then continued to the hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. I then left and headed up to Giant and picked up a loaf of bread and then headed on home. Once at home I got out of my uniform and then got on the computer to do a few things. I am getting ready to eat dinner and watch MASH on TV. I get my hair cut tonight in town at 20:30 hours and then I am going to head over to Sue's house to visit unless Bubba calls me before I get there. If he doesn't I will go to her house and visit until he calls me. He wants me to sit down with him tonight if he gets back in time and type up a letter. I will then be home and be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

GOOD LUCK SUE!!!

Went to bed Monday night around 02:00 hours and got up around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then got in my car and headed in to town. I stopped at Rite Aid and dropped off two perscriptions and then ran up to Sheetz and got gas. I then stopped at Community Banks and cashed my check from Medic 6 and then stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of Giant Diet Iced Tea and a 24 count box of popsicles. I then headed on home as Rite Aid said it was going to take an hour for my medications. Once at home I ate lunch, read the paper and watched All My Children on TV. Once I was done reading the paper, I headed back into town and picked up my medications and then headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things. Sue then texted me and told me that she had a job interview on Thursday at a Dental Office on Locust Lane. About 30 minutes later she sent me another text message that she had another interview Wednesday afternoon in Camp Hill. I told her that I was SOOOOOO HAPPY for her that she was getting all of these job interview's. She then called me and we talked for a little bit. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and then got ready to head to work. I left the housr at 19:30 hours and headed up to Lykens for my 12 hour shift. I got up there and clocked in and then did a rig check on 6-5. Ron was the medic for the night as he was doing a 24 and Zach was the EMT going off. After I did my rig check, I watched some TV and then got in the computer to check a few things. I laid down on the couch around 01:00 hours and drifted off to sleep for probally about a half an hour when the tones went off for chest pains in Lykens Borough. I got up and got my boots on, grabbed a pager and went to the bathroom and then went out and got in 6-5 and waited for Ron to come out. We went responding and got on the scene and got the guy loaded up and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Sheetz and grabbed something to drink and munch on and then headed back up through. We stopped at Eville and I grabbed two batteries for the Life Pak and then we went back up to Lykens. We got up there and I backed in and we went into the day room. Ron had just laid down in bed, when his cell phone rang. It was his wife and she was going to the hospital because she was having an asthma attack. He had to leave to go home. So he called down to Eville and talked to Bowser and Bowser told him to send me down to Eville to make a BLS truck with Audry. Ron told me to take 6-5 down, so I put my suit case in my car as I was now wide awake and woule not be able to get back to sleep. Ron clocked out and left and then I left in 6-5 and headed on down to Eville. I got down there and parked 6-5 outside and went inside and got on the computer down there. I then left Eville at 08:00 hours and headed back up to Lykens with 6-5 for the on duty crew. I got up there and backed 6-5 in and turned everything over to Kathy and Jim. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then went to bed. I got up this afternoon around 12:00 hours when Sue called my cell phone and we talked for at least 45 minutes. She told me about the new suit she got yesterday for her interview's and what she was going to wear and we talked about the Garage and some other things. I then ate lunch, read the paper and watched All My Children on TV. I am now getting ready to do a few things online and am working another 12 hours shift in Lykens tonight.

Eventful 24 Hour Shift

Went to bed Saturday night at 03:00 hours and got up Sunday afternoon at 12:50 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things and watch the race on TV. Tony Stewart won the race. I then ate dinner while I was on the computer and then got ready to head up to Medic 6 for my reverse 24 hour shift. Dave then came over and picked up the money from the Candy Wheel at the Halifax Carnival. I then left around 19:30 hours and headed up to Lykens. I got there and Kathy and Jim were out on the ATV accident in Millersburg, and Wertz was not there yet. I did a rig check on 6-6, the second due unit for the Lykens crew until they came back with 6-8. John then called the station and told me that Kathy was on her way back up through with 6-8 and then Wertz showed up. He went to get the second set of ALS gear out of the ALS closet and he saw that it was the bag's that no one liked that they tried out over 1-1/2 years ago and he went off. I listened to 30 minutes of swearing and him talking to Steve, John, and Tindel. I do not like the bags either. We then went down to the Eville station and talked to John and Tindel. Tindel then got a call in Millersburg and left. Jim had called John to come pick him up when me and Scott got hit for an ALS call in Upper Paxton Township. I drove down there and Wertz released to BLS and we went back to the Eville Station. When John got back, we ended up dumping both bags on the kitchen table and we helped Wertz put together a blue med bag, trauma bag and CPAP bag for him. We left for Lykens around 01:30 hours. We got up there and I backed in and then I layed down on the couch and watched TV until 03:00 hours and then I went to sleep. I got up around 07:45 hours and got my boots on and got my things together. Tommy then came in and he clocked in and then I left and headed on down to Eville to releave John. I got down there and Jason was already there. I did a rig check on 6-3 and then we all sat around and talked. Tommy and Tim came down and we were getting ready to head to breakfast, when they got a call in Klingerstown for ALS. We waited until they got back and then we headed up to Wal-Mart. On the way up there, they got hit for a pedestrian struck in Williamstown Borough. We went to Wal-Mart and I got a soft pretzel and then we headed back to the station. Once back there, we washed both the units. After Jim had washed his, he got a call in Millersburg that he took. While he was gone, the Lykens crew took a chest pains call in Wayne Township, and we ended up running 6-3 over to them since 6-5 did not have any A/C in it. We then headed back to the station. We were there for maybe an hour as I know I took a nap and then the tones dropped for a sick person in Washington Township. We decided to take 6-7 and we got up there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed over to McGuries in Duncannon to drop 6-7 off to have it looked at. Jim then came down in the Squad and picked me and Jason up and then headed back up to Eville. We got back and we talked to the Lykens crew and then they headed on up. I then got on the computer to do my chart from the call and when I was done, I surfed the net. A guy then came in the building and said that he lived across the street and his wife had just cut her hand on a broken dish. The three of us went over and took a look at it, and her husband drove her up to Sunbury. We then went back over and then Jim got a call for Millersburg again. Carl and Tim them came down from Lykens since there was no medic in Eville for tonight. I clocked out and me, Carl, and Tim, talked. I left around 20:43 hours to head on home. I stopped at Jo Jo's and got a sub and then headed on home. I just finished eating dinner and am getting ready to take a shower. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

End of Halifax Firemen's Carnival

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer and added the August minutes to the Township website. I then munched on something for dinner and then got changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Kenny was already there. I out my gear in the back of the Utility, then put the money box, wheel, bag, box of screws and my towel. I then loaded the cooler up and put that in the back of the Utility. I then pulled the Engine out, then the Utility, backed the Engine in and then we left and headed into the park. We got there and unloaded and then I parked the Utility. We set up and then waited for the crowd to start coming in. It was kind of slow tonight, and it did not help that the band sucked, and even Tom said the band sucked. He also said that it was not there typical Saturday night crowd that they see. I had 3 slices of pizza, and then a funnel cake as my food for the night. We closed down around 23:15 hours, torn down, loaded up and then headed up to Shell to put fuel in the truck. Bubba had called earlier and he told me that he was brining a load up to the Sheetz in Halifax. So we then headed over to the Sheetz to wait for him to show up. When he did we watched him and talked to him. We then headed on back to the station around 00:15 hours. We got back and LeeAnn moved the Engine out and I backed the Utility in and she backed the Engine back in. We then unloaded the Utility and then Kenny went home and me and LeeAnn both grabbed a Coors Light and headed up to the hall to count the money. After we were done, I headed on home. I am going to go take a shower when I am done here and then am going to hit the sack as I am tired.

Very Good Night at the Carnival

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 04:30 hours when the pager went off for an assult victim in Jackson Township. Since it was an assult victim, I did not go right to the scene, but instead decided to head into the "Barn". I got there and pulled in behind Carol and we got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and PSP came out and said that everything was fine and that we were not need, so we went available. After I got my car, I ran up to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and a gallon of diet iced tea and then headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed and was rocked out of bed again around 08:50 hours when the pager went off for heart problems in Halifax Township. I got out of bed and got dressed and then headed to Carol's house. I got there and parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped Jim off at his squad and then ran out to pick up my car. Once I got my car I headed back into the shed and logged my time and then did the paperwork from the call. I then ran back up to Giant and picked up a case of water for my mother and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then took laundry down stairs and put it in the washing machine for my mother. As I came up the basement steps, I heard the pager talking and caught the tail end of the dispatch for us. I got my boots on and then headed to Carol's house. It ended up being a diabetic problem in Jackson Township. We got there and Tindel was out medic and we pumped the guy full of sugar and he refused to go down. After we got the refusal, I ran back and picked up my car and headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things and then I ate dinner while I was on the computer. I then headed up to the fire house around 17:25 hours. They had the Utility pulled out already and I gave LeeAnn the money box and explained things to her and told her and Helen that I would probally be back before they closed for the night. I then headed on down to Harrisburg for the Executive Officers Meeting of the County Firemen's Association. The meeting went good and I was out of there by 21:02 hours and headed on up to the park. I got there and parked and then went up to the stand. We did very well tonight with the stand. We shut down around 23:15 hours, loaded up the Utility and then I headed on out to the station with the money box in my car. I got back to the station and pulled the Engine out so they could back the Utility in. Once they backed in, I backed the Engine back in and then me, LeeAnn and Kenny went up to the hall to count the money. We left there around 00:23 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and will be hitting the sack soon as I am really tired.

Rain

Went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things. I then got changed into street clothes and then headed up to the fire house to wash the Utility. It was raining out and had been since 10 minutes after I got up this morning. I got there and the Tanker was sitting out front and Bubba was gone. I sat up there and waited for Bubba to get back. Kenny then came down and we waited for Bubba. Bubba came up around 14:30 hours and by that time the rain had nearly stopped. He decided to wait until 15:00 hours to wash the Tanker to see if it was going to rain any more. We did not get started washing the trucks until around 15:15 hours. We finished up around 16:45 hours and I headed on home to change into my uniform and grab the money box and my two bottles of Gatorade. I then headed back up to the fire house. Once there I parked and then put my gear in the back of the Utility and Jason did the same. I then put the money box, my towel and the wheel in the cab of the Utility and then I put the candy in the cooler and then put two bags of ice in the cooler and then we put it in the back of the Utility. Me and Jason left a little earlier then everyone else so we could drop the cooler off at the stand before we went through judging. We had just passed Harman's when it started to pour. We got down to the park and we dropped the cooler off at the stand and then headed back up to the front of the high school and parked to wait for them. We had just parked when they came up over the hill. We then went over to registration and got registered and then went over to judging. Judging pretty much consisted of me getting out and opening up all of the compartment doors, them looking at it and asking me a few general questions and then I closed everything up and headed on down and lined up. The rain stopped and help off for the parade and then started up towards the end, but we were already back at the park and in the stand. I had just put the wheel up in the stand when I had a few people at the board ready to play. We did very good tonight with the stand. It the came time for awards to be handed out. The Engine won First Place for Best Appearing and Equipped Engine/Pumper, 1996 and Before, First Place for Best Appearing Tanker, and Second Place for Best Appearing and Equipped Special Service Unit. They shut down early due to there not being a big crowd anymore since most of them left due to it starting to rain again. We loaded up and then went up to Shell and fueled up and then headed back to the station. I pulled the Engine out and backed the Utility in and then backed the Engine in and then we unloaded everything from the Utility and then went up to the hall to count the money. After we counted the money, we both left for home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Busy Past Two Days

Went to bed Monday night at 02:00 hours and got up at 07:00 hours when my alarm went off. I for out of bed and got dressed and then ate breakfast. I then left around 07:40 hours and headed up to Eville for work. I got there and Jim was already there. I clocked in and did my rig check and then Kathy showed up and helped me finish my rig check. We then started towards Special Place for breakfast when Jim got a call for ALS in Millersburg. So me an Kathy continued to Special Place and met up with Tindel and Matt and then Tim came and we all had breakfast together. I had two pancakes, two slices of toast and a glass of orange juice. Me and Kathy then went back to the station and so did Tindel and Scott. The four of us then went up to Wal-Mart and then we went our separte ways. Our first call came in shortly after 13:00 hours as I had just finished eating a lunch that I had packed. It was for a headache in Lykens Borough. I drove and Kathy teched in the back. We got there and got the lady loaded and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at 3 B's and Kathy got a sandwich to eat and I got a milk shake and then we headed back to the station. Jim got a call to Northumberland County so he was gone. We got back and were there for maybe 30 minutes, when the tones went off again for a fall victim in Wiconisco Township. We got there and the Pt's wife decided that she was going to take him down herself and the guy refused. We then headed back to the station. Jason then called Kathy to see if her husband could work his overnight shift at Eville and when she said that he couldn't, Jason asked me and I told him that I could. Shift change then occured at 20:00 hours and Tim came in. We then headed up to Lykens to eat dinner with Tindel and Carl. We then started trying to guess each other's ring tones and then Scott started playing music on his lap top. Me and Tim left the Lykens Station around 23:00 hours and headed back to the Eville station. We got back and I quickly checked my email and then went to bed. I got up at 07:55 hours, clocked out and then headed on home. Once at home I went to bed to try and get a little more sleep. I got up this morning at 11:50 hours and ate lunch and then read the paper and watched All My Children on TV. I then ran over to Dave's house and picked up the money box for the candy wheel and then headed up to the fire house. I talked to Bubba for a little bit and then got the candy all set up for tonight and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then headed back up to the fire house. Kenny then came down and we loaded the cooler up and put that in the back of the Utility along with our gear, a broom, the board, which barley fit. We then put the money box, wheel, drill, box of screws, and the bag of empty wrappers in the cab and then I pulled the Engine out and then the Utility and then backed the Engine in and then we left. We got in there and got everything unloaded and then I parked the Utility and then set everything up. It was a very slow night tonight, since it was a Wednesday night, plsu the heat. We packed up around 22:25 hours and then I got a page on my county pager to call county in reference to the fuel spill at the Clarks Ferry Truck Stop. I called home and my father called down and ended up heading down to the scene since he had to write a report. I then dropped Kenny off and unloaded the cooler and put the Utility away and then counted the money and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

More Candy

Went to bed last night at 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch, and then read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things and I ate dinner while I was on the computer and watching TV. I left the house at 18:00 hours and heade up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. Bubba had the Utility sitting out front of the station as he had used it during the day. I asked him if I could use it to run up to Wal-Mart tonight to get candy and he said yes. The meeting was long as a lot of different things were discussed. After the meeting was over, myself, Bubba, LeeAnn, Holly, Troy, Dave and Bill went down to the fire house to shoot the shit. I then left for Wal-Mart around 22:45 hours and got back around 23:45 hours and then put the candy in the fridge in the hall and the bags of ice in the freezer in the station and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am going to hit the sack as I work today at Medic 6.

State MedEvac Course

Went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 09:30 hours when my mother woke me up. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then ate breakfast and read the comics. I then headed up to the fire house for the State MedEvac training. It was a very good class and they brought a chopper up for us to look over and to ask the flight crew questions about the chopper. After class was over, Bubba had to fill a pond off of Enders Road. He wasn't sure if the Tanker was going to make it up the driveway, so he had Robby load 600 feet of 1-3/4" hose in the back of his truck just in case. LeeAnn then went with Bubba in the Tanker and me, Jason, and Lonny went with Robby in his truck and Andy drove over in his truck. The Tanker was able to make it up the driveway and all of us went up to help. After we were done there we headed back to the fire house. Once back there I helped unload the hose and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then did a few things online while I ate dinner. I then headed back up to the fire house for Con-Ed training. After class was over up there, myself, Bubba, Robby, Dave and Lonny talked business in the kitchen. Lonny then left and the 4 of us headed down to Robby's truck and talked some more and then Robby and Dave left. Me, Bubba and LeeAnn then shot the shit in the fire house. We all left there around 22:05 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. Unknow Problem

Went to bed last night at 03:20 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I started to contact a few organizations to use as speakers for the booster meetings for the upcoming year. I then made and ate dinner while I did some things on the computer. Then around 15:45 hours the pager went off for an unknown problem in Jackson Township. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to the church in Fisherville for Scott to pick me up at. He picked me up and we continued to the scene. PSP was there and it was a huge clutser fuck of a call. After almost an hour on the scene the guy finally let us take him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. I ran out and picked up my car and then headed back into the "Barn". I got there and restocked the unit and then logged my time in and did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home and once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Out with Sue Again

I went to bed last night at 02:10 hours and got up this morning at 11:50 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then got dressed and got in my car to head to Sue's house to visit since her and me were on today. I stopped at the "Barn" to pick up my check. I signed my check and had just gotten in my car when the pager went off for a sick person at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. Sue called me and I told her that I would meet her at her house since I was on my way there. I got to her house and parked and then got in 13-1 and me and Sue were off. We got up there and we got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there we headed on back. We went back to her house so I could pick up my car. Sue had to run up to the Halifax National Bank in Millersburg to sign some paperwork. She got Scott to cover for her while she was at the bank. I went back to the shed to do my tripsheet. I called Bill and asked to come and pick up my badge for House. I got there and logged my time in and then did my paperwork from the call. Bill then showed up and I gave him my badge to give to House. I then went into the bathroom and while I was in there, the pager went off for an assult in Upper Paxton Township. I finished up and then closed the windows in my car and Scott had pulled in about that time. I then went up to 13-1 and got in the driver's seat since it was a class 3 call. Scott got in the passenger's seat and off we went. While I was driving, Scott took his shoes off and slipped his BDU's over his jean shorts and then put his boots on. We got up there and staged in the parking lot of the Halifax National Bank until we saw PSP go by. We then moved up to the Elementray School parking lot and we saw PSP on the scene so we went in. Scott knew the lady from High School so he decided that he was going to ride down in the back with her to the hospital. We were on scene for at least a half an hour until PSP got things setteled and then I drove down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then talked to Sue. She was going to meet Bob for dinner and then was going to go out to Alf's so she said she would call me tonight once she gets back to see i I want to come over or not. I then ran up to Giant and picked up a few things and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email, surf the net, and wait for Sue to call me. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a call.

Driving the MICU

I got to Medic 6 last night, clocked in and did my rig check. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I was on the computer when around 22:30 hours the tones dropped for seizures at the Girl Scout Camp in Jefferson Township. I asked the EMT if she knew where she was going and she said no. I told her to get in the back of the unit and I would drive as I knew where I was going. I got in and Tim got in the passenger's seat and off we went. We got there and got the girl loaded up and then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We got back around 01:00 hours and I got on the computer to check a few more things. I then went out to the day room and had just sat down around 01:19 hours, when over the scanner I heard County Fire dispatch Box 216-1 to 6 Cesena Drive, for an outside fire. As most you of probally already know, I was a little upset about missing another fire call while I was up at 6, but when I talked to Bubba and my father, I found out that I did not miss much. I then drifited off around 01:45 hours and slept off and on until after I went to the bathroom around 03:30 hours, then I slept good until I woke up at 07:00 hours. I layed on the chair for a little bit and then Carl came in around 07:30 hours. I then got up and put my pillow away and got my boots back on and then grabbed my coffee cakes and chocolate milk and ate breakfast and then checked a few things on the computer. Jim then came in and then Wendy and Steve. We left for Wal-Mart around 09:00 hours since Jim was getting hungry. Me and Carl had just pulled into Wal-Mart when Jim got hit to go to Millersburg on a call. We decided to ditch Wal-Mart and went to Koppy's and Carl got something for breakfast and I got a small pizza, a bag of chips and a bottle of Gatorade for lunch later on. We then headed back to the station. I then talked to Steve about my times for this month and I am do a lot of fill in of open shifts that were on the schedule. After I was done with Steve, Jim came back and was there for a little bit and then got hit to go to Northumberland County for chest pains. Him and Dalmatia ended up flying the person out and then he came back. While he was gone, me and Carl helped Steve sort some paperwork and then got back on the computer and were playing games online. I then ate lunch around 13:00 hours and after I was done, Jim had me and Carl clean the stove up. While Carl was washing the burner trays, I decided to vaccum the carpet and sweep the tile floor. We then went out to the bay and swept the bays. We then went back into the computer room to continue our games, when the tones dropped for a fall victim at Wal-Mart, class 3. Me and Carl took this call and we got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. While we were coming off the mountain, 13 got hit for a nose bleed ay the Red Rose Motel, there now infamous nose bleed lady. Me and Carl started cracking up and I called Scott and ribbed him about having to go there again to help lift. We had just gone through Fisherville when Steve called Carl and told us to go help 13. So we turned on to Tourist Park Road and started heading that way. About 2 minutes later, Steve called back and told us never mind since it was just a nose bleed. Carl decided to contine in anyway incase they did need help with lifting, We got there and Scott and Alf came over and said that she was refusing and did not need us for lifting help. We talked to Scott for a little bit and then headed back to the station. We got back and Steve and Wendy were gone for the day. We found out that Jim was gone also. We called up to Lykens to see if they knew what happened to Jim and Tommy told us that he was not feeling well and went home. I then sat down and did my chart for the fall victim while Carl changed the O2 tank in 6-3. We then went up to Jo-Jo's and got something to eat for dinner. I had a Ham and Cheese sub with a side order of fries and a Sprite. We then headed back to the station and got back on the computer and played games online. Tim them came in for the night shift and then Audrey came in. Me and Carl clocked out and then we both headed on home. I ran up to Wal-Mart and bought a new pair of work boots as the ones I had were starting to look pretty bad. I then headed on home. I swung by the fire house to look at the run sheet from this morning and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Off Probation

I went to bed last night at 02:40 hours and got up this morning around 11:45 hours when Steve from Medic 6 called. He told me that I am now off of probation and he asked me if I could come in and work day light tomorrow at Eville. I told him that I could and then hung up. I then quickly called him back and asked him if he wanted me to work tonight and he said that he would leave that decision up to me. I also asked him about what we were going to do with the schedule for this month and he said he had a plan that he was going to talk to me tomorrow morning about. I then hung up with him and then got out of bed and got changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and then read the paper while I watched All My Children on TV. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I am now getting ready to eat dinner and then am going to get ready to headed up to Eville to do my reverse 24 hour shift. I will then be home Thursday night around 21:00 hours.

Berrysburg Parade

Went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:30 hours when Carol called the house and told me that we were going to be getting a call on Armstrong Street and that she would meet me at the "Barn". I got out of bed and got dressed and the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Borough. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and naturally Carol was already there. I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. We got there and the guy was upstairs and it was up a narrow set of stairs. Carol wanted to bring him down the stairs on the Reeves and asked me to call for the fire department also. So I went down to the rig and grabbed the Reeves and then called County and had them dispatch Company 29 class 3 for lifting assistance. Kim and Sammy showed up and then Thomas was not far behind. We got the guy down and loaded into the ambulance and then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I logged my time in and then headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed no home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 15:00 hours. I got there and Bill and House pulled in. I then called Bubba and asked him if I could move the Engine out so I could pull the Utility out to wash it and he said yes. So I pulled the Engine out, and then pulled the Utility out and parked it and then backed the Engine back into the station. I then washed the Utility and then Troy stopped by. I had him move the Engine out so I could back the Utility back into the station. I then ran home around 16:50 hours to change shoes and my shirt. I then got a bottle of Gatorade and then headed back up to the fire house. Robby, Tandee, and LeeAnn were there. I started talking to LeeAnn about Friday night and then Jason pulled in and then Troy came back. We then loaed the trucks up and headed up to Berrysburg for the parade. The parade went good, there was only one hitch and that was a tractor trailer got hung up somewhere in the parade route. After the parade was over we went back to the carnival grounds and I got two slices of pizza and a Sprite. After I had paid for my pizza, their house siren started going off for an accident with injuries in the Square of Berrysburg. Me and Jason then left at 21:00 hours since he had to be home by 22:00 hours to get ready for work. We stopped at Shell in Eville and got fuel and then headed back to the station. Once there I backed in and we took out gear out and talked for a little bit. He then left and I sat there and waited for the Engine and Tanker to get back. They got back and LeeAnn and House left and then me, Troy, Robby, Jess, and Tandee talked for a little bit. Tandee and Robby then left and then Jess headed on down to the house and then me and Troy left and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
