Car into a House
Went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got my lunch and Gatorade's together and then left the house and headed up to Eville to work at Medic 6. I got up there and I n0ticed that 6-7 and the squad were gone, but 6-3 was still sitting inside the station. I parked out back and went inside. I put my lunch and Gaotrade's in the fridge and then I clocked in. I then went out to the bay to do a rig check. When I walked into the bay's I noticed that the hood on 6-3 was open. So I went around the front of it and the battery charger was hooked up to the battery under the hood. I then went into the computer room and got on the computer and started a rig check and ate my breakfast. Jim then showed up and I told him about 6-3. He told me to try starting it and it started and then he had me park it outside and let it run for awhile. Kathy then got there as I was finishing up my rig check. Kuntz then called to let Jim know that all three of them were going down to the hospital on the call that they were on. Jim then had me and Kathy run over to the scene and pick up the squad and bring it back to the station. Once back I once again parked 6-3 out front to let it run for awhile. We then went back inside and sat down to watch some TV. I then got on the computer to check a few things and then sat back down to watch TV. The night shift crew then got back and they put 6-7 back in it's spot and then I backed 6-3 in as it had been running for quite some time now. I then watched some more TV while Don did his two charts from the accident that had over night and Dwayne and Kuntz left. Jim then came by the room and said that he was hungry and that we were going to go get something for lunch. We ended up going to the grub house and Jim and Kathy both got platters. I only got a small bag of chips to much on since I had packed a lunch and had it sitting in the fridge at the station. Once we got back they ate there lunches and I ate the one that I packed. Don was still there when we got back. He had already clocked out and he was just waiting on his wife and son to meet him so they could go eat lunch before his wife had to go to work. We then were watching some TV and then I got back on the computer. Around 13:00 hours I believe it was, the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Wiconisco. 6-5 went responding and Jim had us respond also. We up to the scene and it was a pick-up into a house. The driver was not injured and did not want to go to the hospital, even though he blacked out while he was driving and that was what caused him to crash. The guy did a good job as he really buried the front end of the trunk under the front porch of the house. I talked to one of the guys from 23 and he said that the foundation in the basement had shifted from the impact of the pick-up. We then left as we were not needed and headed back to Eville. Kathy told me we had to stop at a friends house so she could pick up her PS2 so we could play guitar hero at the station. As we were heading on our way down, Jim got hit to go to Halifax for syncope. We stopped and picked up the PS2 and then headed back to the station. We got there and got it set up and started playing her newist version "Rock the 80's". The tones then went off for a call in Upper Paxton Township. 6-5 went responding on that one and he ended up being cancelled by 20. So they decided to stop at the Eville station since Jim was out on the call with 13. Well Tindel and Matt decicded to play a few quick face off's with me before they left and headed back up to Lykens. We then contiued to play Guitar Hero. Kathy then had to take a break so she let me play by myself for a little while. Jim then said he was hungry and wanted to head up to Wal-Mart and pick up a meat lovers pizza for dinner for the 3 of us. We agreed and then left and headed up to Wal-Mart, We got the pizza and I got a bag of chi[s to go with the pizza. While we were in line paying, the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Schuylkill County. 6-5 took that call and they ended up being cancelled on the scene. The pizza was almost done when the tones went off for a fall victim in Lykens Borough. Since me and Kathy were the BLS truck for the day we ended up taking this call. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and then I drove down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Kathy could get some creamer and then we stopped at the Shell in Halifax and got disiel for the unit. We then stopped at 13's station and dropped off a strap that we found at Hershey Medical Center. I went in and laid it on the desk in the officer and then we headed back up through. Once we got back, I clocked our and then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
