GPS

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch. I then read the paper. I then emptied trash cans and got on the computer to check on my federal taxes. I then got on the PS2 and played Leisure Suit Larry until 16:00 hours when I got off. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and headed into the "Barn" around 18:30 hours. I got there and Scott, Bill an Dohn were there. Scott was putting the GPS systems in the units and he went over them with me. Carol then showed up, followed by Amanda and Sue. We then talked back in the office some and then I left around 20:15 hours and headed up to Rite Aid to drop off a perscription and wait on it. I got there and dropped it off and was walking around the store when I heard the pharmacy call me back. The pharmacist told me that the insurance company would not cover it as they said I was told old for the medication. He said that my doctor would have to call them and then he would have to sign a paper stating that I needed to take the medication. He said this could be due to the type of plan that I have. I ended up telling the pharmcist to run it through as cash as I needed the medications. I then ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a light snack. I just took the trash out and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Code in the Morning

I went to bed Monday night around 02:00 hours and woke up Tuesday morning around 12:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played some Leisure Suit Larry. I then got off and ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer. I then left around 19:19 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and parked and then went inside and clocked in. I then did a quick rig check on 6-8 and then went over the supplies. I then put in an order and checked a few things online. Enders and Bruce then clocked out and left. I then went out and sat down on the couch and watched Dirty Jobs on Discovery Channel. Tim then finished his charts around 22:00 hours and he came out into the day room and I popped in Disc 3 of Season 2 of Emergency and we watched two episode. We then ran up to Koppy's so he could get something to eat and I also grabbed some popcorn chicken to munch on. We then headed back and watched another episode until 01:00 hours. Tim then went back in to put some finishing touches on his charts and I turned the Discovery Channel back on and watched TV until 02:40 hours and then went to sleep on the couch. I woke up around 06:35 hours when the tones went off for an unconscious person in Lykens Borough. 6-5 in Lykens took that call. I reset the pager and laid back down on the couch when I heard Tim come out. I sat up and the tones went off again for an unknown problem in Halifax Township. I got the stuff on my belt and got my boots on and then got in 6-8 and off we went. County told us that it was an elderly male slumped over the steering wheel in a pick-up truck and the truck was still running. We had not even made it to the square when county called us back and told us that the bystanders thought that he was starting to turn blue. We were starting to climb the mountain when county called us back and told us that the bystanders had broken out the window and were starting CPR. At this point I picked up the pace. I blew through Fisherville and I saw Bubba walking down the walkway out back to his house as we went flying by. We got there and I pulled in and when I got out I could smell the brakes. Tim jumped in the back to grab gloves and I had him toss me a pair of XL. He then tossed me the BLS bag and the portable suction unit. I then ran up the hill and Kim was bagging and a bystander was doing CPR. Dohn and Bisking were also there. Dohn said they needed another O2 tank and I got ours out of the bag. I then tookj over CPR and 13-2 got there. We got the guy on a backboard and then got him loaded into the back of 13-2 and then me and Kim switched off and on with compressions. We ended up working him the whole way down to Harrisburg Hospital and they called it when we got there. I rode down with Tim as an extra set of hands to switch off with Kim. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts and I got a bottle of apple juice and two doughnuts and then we headed back. I had told Scott to take 6-8 back to the "Barn". and once we were there, we moved the gear back over and then headed back to Eville. We got there and I helped Tim restock and then I put in another order of supplies and also called in an order of Electrodes. I then clocked out and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 14:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner and left around 17:30 hours and headed in up to Eville for the staff meeting tonight. I got up there and clocked in and then we had the staff meeting. After it was over, I clocked out and headed down to the fire hall for bingo tonight. I got there and called the second half then. After bingo was over I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Building Meeting

I went to bed last night at 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:45 hours then the pager went off for a laceration in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I got out of bed and got dressed and got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Dohn was already there. I parked beside him and got in 13-2 and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and then I drove down to Harrisburg Hospoital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. On the way back I stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the shed. Once there I changed the "M" tank and then took 13-2 around back and hosed it off as it looked like someone went off-roading with it. I then put it back out front, went inside the office, logged my time and then headed on home. Once at home I ate a light breakfast and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played Leisure Suit Larry until 14:00 hours. I then got on the computer to do a few things while I watched the end of the race at California Speedway. I then ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer. I then left the house around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire hall for the building committee meeting tonight. I sat in as a member of the fire company not on the committee since they made them open to non-committee members last week so that the rest of the members in the fire company can know what is going on. That lasted until 20:45 hours and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another Fire Call

I went to bed last night around 01:00 hours and woke up this afternoon around 13:40 hours. As I was laying in bed debating weather to get up or to go back to sleep, the fire pager went off at 13:46 hours for smoke in a structure in Halifax Borough. I got up and started getting dressed and yelled "FIRE" so my father could hear. I heard him get up out of his chair and I finished getting dressed. I grabbed my wallet, cell phone and then headed out to the kitchen. My father had just finished getting his bunker pants on and was heading out to his truck when I grabbed my keys. As I ran towards my car, Ray went by. I got in my car and then headed up to the fire house. I got up there and LeeAnn was already there. I parked and as Ray was getting his gear on I ran inside and kicked my shoes off and ot my pants on. As I pulled my pants on I saw Ray get into the Engine. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet and ran out and got in the Engine. As I got in my father came down and I saw Troy pull in the alley. I got in the Engine and then my father got in and off we went. Troy then got in the Utility and Bubba saw Schoffstall pull in. I got my hood on and got my jacket zipped up and was about ready to put my air pack on when command held it to Company 29. We had gotten as far as Fetterhoff's church and we turned around and headed on back to the station. Dave was there when we got back and Schoffstall and Troy had their gear off already. We backed the Engine in and then I got out of my gear and then grabbed the clipboard out of the Engine and filled out the report. Myself, Bubba and Troy stayed and shot the shift and then all three of us left around 14:30 hours. Once at home I read the paper and then I got on the computer to update the website. I then got off to watch the race, but found out that they were still drying the track from the rain earlier. I then ate dinner and left around 17:15 hours and headed up to the fire hall for con-ed training tonight. That went good and I was home by 19:20 hours. When I got back they race had been red flagged. Partially due to a caution, and partially due to water seeping through some of the cracks in the track surface. So I decided to take a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. The race has been red flagged again due to rain. I will be up late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Early Morning

I went to bed last night at 00:10 hours and woke up at 03:45 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then headed up to the fire house. I got there and Schoffstall's truck, Katina's car and LeeAnn's Jeep were already there. However it looked like they had been there all night as their vehicles were all iced over. I parked and went down to the station and it was dark. So I decided to head up to the hall and when I went inside, Katina and LeeAnn were in the kitchen and Jason was on the floor in a sleeping bag. Katina was making breakfast. I went into the kitchen and sat down and the three of us started talking. Jack then came in and said that he was going to head down to the lower lot and get the fires started. I headed on down to help him. While we were down there, I saw Lonny pull in and he headed up to the fire hall. Jack got one fire started and the set up a propane heater and unloaded the rest of his stuff and then headed back to his house to pick up the rest of the stuff. I kept a watch on the fire and once he got back he got the other 2 fires going. He then told me that we were ready for the meat to be brought down and also some water. So I went up to the hall and told them that he was ready for the meat and water. Troy had just pulled in and came in the hall and went into the kitchen to eat breakfast. I took the meat down and then headed back up to the fire house to get Jack water. LeeAnn had just gone in and had two 5 gallon buckets and was filling them with water. I had a big soup pot that Jack gave me to wash out and then fill with water. LeeAnn then took the two buckets down and then Lonny showed up while I was filling the soup pot. Lonny then brought his truck down and we took it down on the back of his truck. As we were heading down, Bubba walked over. I then went up to the hall and ate breakfast myself and then headed back down. Things went very good over the morning. Schoffstall eventually headed on home to get some sleep. Lyle showed up to help and then Kenny came down to help. We got the soup off by 11:30 hours, but the apple butter took a little bit longer. Andy and Barb then showed up and Andy came down and we put him to work. We got the apple butter off by 13:00 hours and then we cleaned stuff up down in the lower lot and then we headed up to the hall. I gave Sue a call and told her that the soup and apple butter were ready to be picked up and her and Bob came out and picked the stuff up. We then finished cleaning up the stuff in the hall and then me and Lonny took the canopy down and out it away. I then left around 14:10 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now eating dinner. I am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Snow on the Ground

I went to bed last night around 03:10 hours and woke up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. The tones went off around 13:20 hours for a call in Millersburg, but 20-1 got out just as county was dispatching us and told us to disregard our tones. I reset the pager and then finished reading the paper. I then ran into town to do a few things. I stopped at the "Barn" and dropped off my times and then ran up to Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription and waited for it. 5 minutes later it was done and I headed on home. Once at home my mother helped me do my federal and state taxes online. I then did some things on the computer. I then ate lunch while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things on the computer. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Working Mobile Home Fire

I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my hat, jacket and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then got my lunch and Gatorade bottles together. I then got in my car and left around 07:22 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside. As I was walking inside everyone was waking up as the tones had just gone off for an accident with entrapment in Northumberland County. I clocked in and put my lunch and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then ate breakfast and Stutzman and Enders had already done a rig check on 6-8. I then did a few things on the computer and then went to check on supplies. I then put the supplies away that had come Monday and Tuesday. I then put an order in for more supplies. Tim had gone with Tindell in the squad to the accident call in Northumberland County. Tindell came back with the squad and said that Tim was on Ambulance 62 on his way to Geisinger Hospital. Kathy and Jim then went on a call shortly after that for chest pains in Upper Paxton Township. Kathy then came back and said she was going to need help washing 6-3. I said that I would help as it was probally never washed after I got back Monday morning from Pottsville with Wertz. We then sent Enders up to 62's station to pick up Tim and then we washed 6-3. Me and Stutzman then ran up to the Post Office so I could mail a package back to Tri-Anim. When we got back, Kathy had left to go pick up Jim at Sheetz in Halifax. Steve then left to run down to Life Team to pick up some information and to also pick up the Morhine at Harrisburg Hospital. Jim and Kathy then got back and Jim and Stutzman were in the med room restocking, when the tones went off for another call in Upper Paxton Township. We heard Tim go responding in the squad to the call. Tim then called my cell phone and asked me to run two batteries up to him at SLV. So I went out to the bay and told Stutzman to grab two batteries and then we got in 6-8 and took off for SLV. We dropped the batteries off and Tim left on 20-1. Enders then took the squad back to Station 20 and we picked him up and then headed back to Eville. We got back and as soon as I walked into the station I heard Jim back in the day room bitching about what we had done. I walked up front and sat down in the front office and talked to Wendy casue I told her that if I would have went back in the day room I would have shot off my mouth. The tones then went off for chest pains in Washington Township. Jim and Kathy took the call, but Jim also asked us to tag along for lifting assistance. We helped load them up and then they went to Holy Spirit Hospital and we headed back to the station. Once there I ate lunch and then we ran up to Jo-Jo's so Stutzman and Enders could get something to eat. Steve then made it back and then at 13:42 hours, my fire pager went off for a structure fire in Halifax Township. It quickly went to a working mobile home fire. Naturally I was pissed off that I was missing the structure fire, especially a working fire. The guy from Stryker then showed up to go over the power stretchers. Jim and Kathy then got back and you could tell Jim was pissed and it was because Kathy did not stop at Gonder's Grub House so he could get some food. After the guy from Stryker was done, we put the stretchers in service on the first due trucks. Then around 15:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pains in Lykens Borough. Myself, Stutzman and Enders took that call and I drove the whole time. We got up there and got the lady loaded and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. As we were on our way down it started snowing and all the tones went off again for breathing problems in Jackson Township. When we went down through I saw it was at Matt Faust's place and I wondered who it was. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. I swung by the "Barn" and got times for the structure fire as they had placed the box in service at 17:00 hours. We then ran up to Wal-Mart so Enders could buy something and then they both got something to eat for dinner. I then stopped at Jo-Jo's and grabbed something to eat for dinner and then we headed back to the station. Once there I ate dinner and then Stutzman and Enders left at 20:00 hours. I then sat down and watched TV while Tim worked on his many charts back in the Supervisor's office, He finally came out at 23:00 hours and went up to Koppy's and got something to eat. He came back and we watched two episodes of Season 2 of Emergency and then he went back to his charts and I went to bed arouns 01:30 hours. The tones then went off around 02:10 hours for a diabetic problems in Elizabethville Borough. I got the stuff on my belt and then got my boots on and we got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at then Uni-Mart on Front Street so Tim could get some coffee and I grabbed something to munch on and to drink and then we headed on back. We stopped at the shed and I picked up the 12-lead cables that Tim had left on 13-1 and while I was there the tones went off for a call in Lykens Borough. 6-5 handled that one and it turned out to be a public service. We then headed on back to the station. Once there I helped Tim restock and then I hosed off 6-8 and then I went back to sleep around 06:30 hours and Tim went back to continue working on his charts. The tones then went off again around 07:00 hours for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I got the stuff back on my belt and then got my boots on and got in 6-8 and off we went. We got down there and Tim got on 13-2 and they headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. I then ran up to Shell and got fuel and headed on back to Eville. Once back I clocked out and then headed on home. Once at home I went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 16:45 hours and I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate dinner and then left around 17:30 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once there Bubba told me that we were taking the Engine into Station 29 so we could go over the air cascade. So we loaded our gear up into the Engine and headed on into Station 29. We practiced our SCBA donning first. The first time I did it I screwed up and decided to just stop. The second time I did it I was down to 53 seconds. The third time I did it, I was up to 56 seconds, but still under one minute. We then went over our SCBA checks and then did the cascade system. We left there around 21:10 hours and headed back to the fire house. Once there we cleaned the masks and then we shot the shit. Myself, Troy and LeeAnn all left around 22:30 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Sleep In

I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 14:40 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then made and ate dinner while I was on the computer and watched MASH on TV. I then left the house around 17:30 hours and headed up to the fire house for Firefighter 1 training tonight. I got up there and Troy's truck and Lonny's car were already there, but they were down at Bubba's house. Bill then showed up and then LeeAnn pulled in and then I saw Bubba walking up and then I went in the hall. Dave then showed up and he said we would need at least our structural gloves. He then said we also needed two pike poles, a step ladder, and a few tarps. So we went down to the station and I grabbed my gloves as did Troy and then we grabbed the 10 foot pike poles off of the Engine and Tanker and then Bubba grabbed the tarps off of the Engine and Troy grabbed the little giant and we headed back up to the hall. We went over how to fold tarps for salvage operations, then a water shute. We then went over inspecting ropes and then replacing a burst section of hose. Bubba and Robby then wanted to do the 60 second donning of the SCBA. After they did it, Lonny wanted to try it and he did it in 57 seconds the first time and 59 seconds the second time. I then did it and on my first try, my one strap got caught on th cylinder and I stopped. The second time I did it, I did it in 57 seconds, so I was really happy. We then did the first two pages of a practice test. After we were done, we put all the equipment away and then we all left around 22:00 hours. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Busy Night at Medic 6 and Two Fire Calls During the Day

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and my jacket and hat and took them out to the kitchen. I then got my lunch and Gatorade Bottle together. I then loaded them in the car and left the house around 07:25 hours and headed on up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and parked and went inside. Since they had no Medic in Lykens last night, the EMT went down to Eville to make a BLS truck. I clocked in and then ate breakfast. I then did a rig check on 6-3. Jim then got there and he set up his laptop and got on that right away. I checked a few things on the computer. Nancy then came in to clean the station. After about 20 minutes, the cleaning products that she was using were starting to get to Jim and he said about heading down to Eville. So we got in 6-3 and headed on down to Eville. Once down there, I got a new "D" tank as I had switched the one in the BLS bag out with one of the spares in the closet in Lykens. I then got the supplies I needed to take up to Lykens to put in the closets and I also looked to see if I needed to order any supplies. After we were there for about 20 minutes, we headed on back up through. Jim had me stop at Koppy's so he could grab something to drink and then we headed back to Lykens. Once there I ran out to my car real quick and then put the supplies away. I then went out to decon the back of 6-3 and Jim came out to actually do some work and he cleaned the cab of the truck. I then hosed the unit down while he got back on his laptop. Once I was done I got back on the computer to check a few things. Then around 11:30 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Jefferson Township. Me and Jim figured out that it was out call and we got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and once we got the guy loaded up I drove down to Osteo Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. I stopped at Arby's so Jim could get something to eat and then we headed on back. We stopped at Eville so Jim could restock and while we were there I hosed the unit down again. We then left and headed back to Lykens. Once there I sat down to watch the race on the TV. I got to watch the whole race and Ryan Newman won the race. I ate my lunch while I watched the race. AFter the race was over, I switched on Discovery Channel. Wertz then came in around 19:45 hours and then Jim clocked out and left. Wertz then asked me if I had eaten dinner and I said I had a late lunch. He then ordered a pizza and while he was doing his rig checks, I ran down to Chao's and got the pizza. Once I got back we ate while we watched TV. I was actually tired that nigth and turned the TV off around 23:10 hours and laid down on the couch to go to sleep. I woke up at 23:58 hours when the tones went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. Tim and Bruce had gone on a call up in Northumberland County and he was on his way up to Geisiner, so we knew we would be taking the call. I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and got in 6-3 and off we went. We got down there and Alf an Amanda were already there. I pulled in beside 13-1 so Wertz could just load his gear right into their bus. Alf then came out to get the stretcher and he asked me if I would help him and I said not a problem. So I helped take the stretcher inside and once we got her on the stretcher, I helped take it back out and loaded it into the back of 13-1 and then off they went to Harrisburg Hospital. I then stopped at the "Barn" and hosed off the unit once again, especailly since the driverway was nothing but mud. I then went up to Sheetz and waited for them to get back. Once they got back, I helped move his gear over and then we headed on back up through. I stopped at Koppy's so Wertz could get something to drink and then we headed back to the Lykens station. After I helepd Wertz restock, I went back to sleep around 02:30 hours. I woke up again around 05:58 hours when the tones went off for heart problems in Schulykill County, Hubley Township. I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then we got in 6-3 and off we went. We got up there and Heigins was already there and I helped Wertz load his gear into their ambulance and then I followed them up to Good Sam Pottsville. Once up there I moved his gear back over and then once he got what he needed, we headed on back. On the way back, we heard the tones go off for chest pains in Lykens Borough at the doctor's office. We heard Steve talking in the squad and then 24-1 came down as the BLS. We stopped at Tower Mini Mart in Tower City so Wertz could grab something to drink and eat for breakfast. We then got back to the Lykens Station. I went inside and put my pillow back in my suitcase and then got my lunch box and Gatorade bottles together. I then clocked out and headed on down to the Eville Station. I stopped at Shell and got gas and then continued to the Eville Station. I got there and put my time on my time card and Kathy gave me a Williamstown EMS patch that I asked her to get me and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I put my stuff away and had taken my t-shirt off and was in the living room talking to my mother when I heard the fire pager go off for Smoke in a Structure in Halifax Borough. I quick slipped out of my BDU's and slipped on a pair of jeans and grabbed a t-shirt and got my shoes on. I then ran out to the kitchen and grabbed my keys while my father was getting his bunker pants on. I got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got there and pulled in right after LeeAnn did. I got out and ran inside and got my gear on. I then went over to the Engine and I layed my helment and jacket on the hood of the Utility. I grabbed my glass case out of my jacket and put my glasses and hearing aid in there and then put my hood on and then my jacket. I then got in the officers seat and put my glass case on the dash. I put my tag on the ring up front and then started getting my pack on. My father had come in by that point and had put his hood on. Bubba then got in and said we had to save two seats on the Engine for Dave and Jason. I told him that my father was hear also and he said about someone taking the Utility. He then told my father to take the Utility as I already was getting the pack on. We then pulled out and Jason Schoffstall pulled in. Bubba then called Dave and said that we had Jason's gear and that he was going to go responding and pick them up at the Victor House. By this time Alf had figured out that it was a furance malfunction and let Tom know, and then Tom held it to his company and placed us in service. My father then backed the Utility in and Bubba backed the Engine in. I then got my gear off and LeeAnn filled out a report for this call. We then all sat around and shot ths shit. Andy then showed up, followed by Lonny, Lyle, Robby, an then Troy. Everyone slowly started leaving and then I left around 11:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some sleep. I got up at 17:00 hours when my mother came in and told me that my dinner was ready. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer. I then left the house around 18:15 hours and headed up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I got up there and Bill, LeeAnn, Jason and Katina were already there. I went into the hall and they were in the kitchen playing cards. The meeting went good, and quite a few things were discussed. We then all headed down to the fire house while the Fire Police had there meeting. LeeAnn was looking for a tarp to cover the pile of wood down in the front lot that we were going to use for the soup sale this Saturday. She found one and me and Lyle went down to help her. We put the tarp on and used a few pieces of wood to hold the tarp in place. We had just finished when our pagers went off, followed by the house siren. As soon as our pagers went off, I took off running for the fire house. I ran inside and got my gear on. Troy came running over to get his gear on and I asked him what it was and he said a Structure Fire. I asked him where and he said Powells Valley Road. I got my pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet and ran over to the Engine. I got there and put my helmet and jacket on the hood of the Utility and got my glass case out and put my glasses and heading aid in it and then threw it on the dash of the Engine. I then put my hood on and got my jacket on. LeeAnn had already gotten in the back seat on the left side and Troy was in the middle was Dave was going to ride officers seat and Lonny was going to drive. Dave had thought Lonny was still here and when it turned out that he was not, he moved Troy up to the officers seat and then I got in on the right side. Dave put us responding and asked if the Tanker was due and they said no. Bubba and Lyle had stayed back with the Tanker incase they needed it. The three of us packed up on our way in. We got there and they had gotten a good knock on the fire. Dave stopped and we got out and grabbed tools off the Engine. I grabbed the Multi-Purpose Hook, Troy grabbed the Dry Wall Hook and LeeAnn grabbed the 10 foot pike pole out of the back and then we went to the front of Engine 29-1. All of 29's guys were playing with the hose lines and ripping shit apart and we stood there. Amanda and Scott then showed up and took the guy that had the Smoke Inhalation and checked him out and he refused treatment and transport. Jason and Ray then showed up, followed by Jason F. Jason F. was in a pack and we stood there for another 10 minutes and then Jason finally told us to take our masks off as 29's guys were doing so. Dave Warfel then sent me and Troy inside to start stirring up the hay while he hosed it down. Charile then told me about a hot spot on the one wall and I used the hook to knock it out and then Dave wet it down. We then came out and 29's junior's helped take our packs off and then Tom told LeeAnn and Troy to get on the hose line and start wetting down the inside of the goat pen. I then swapped out with Troy so he could take his pack off. After we were done wetting it down, we took our packs and tools back to the Engine. Bubba and Lyle had shown up by know with the Tanker and were suppling Tanker 29. My father was there also and he said that he drove the Utility. We then went back up with flat shovels to help move the dead bodies of the goats out of the pen for the owner. We then helepd push the pen in on itself and then the guys and gals from 29 wet it down. We then hosed down the shovels and our boots and then headed back to the Engine and then we were released. We ran up to Shell and got fuel and I grabbed something to drink and then we headed back to the station. The Utility was already back there and before we backed in, we pulled the tools off to hose them down. Once we were done we put them back on and Dave backed the Engine in. My father Ray, and LeeAnn then grabbed the mask to start cleaning them. I then got out of my bunker gear and by that time the Tanker was back. We then all shot the shit and slowly people started to leave. Myself, Bubba and LeeAnn left around 23:05 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then talked to my mother and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Crazy People in Wiconisco

I went to bed Thursday night around 01:30 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then grabbed my jacket, hat and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then got my lunch and Gatorade bottles together. I then got in my car and left the house around 07:29 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and parked and went inside. I clocked in and put my stuff in the fridge and then talked to Yeager and Flipper until they left. I then did a rig check on 6-3 and then put that in the computer and then Tim put his narc numbers in. I then ate my blueberry muffin and drank my orange juice. Around 07:56 hours, the tones went off for a call in Millersburg. Jim ended up taking that call. While I was on the computer doing a few things, I heard Jim say that they were going to be getting a patient refusal. County then called 20-1 about 5 minutes later and asked them if they were available yet and they said they were just getting ready to call in. County then told them that they had another call in Millersburg for them. The tones then went off for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough. Jim took that one also as he was just outside of Millersburg on his way back to the station. After I was done on the computer, I went over and sat down on the couch to watch TV. Tim was sleeping on the other couch. Then around 11:10 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Elizabethville Borough at the PT place. I told Tim that Jim should have been back by now. So I got on INET to see if he was and 20-1 had gone available 2 minutes before this call was dispatched. 6-3 went responding as an ambulance and the tones went off the second time for ALS. I told Tim to forget it and just get in 6-5 as Jim was dicking around so he would not have to take the call. So we got in 6-5 and off we went. We got down there and Carl and Stutzman were bringing the lady out and put them in the back of 6-8 and me and Tim got in the back. We then told them to take 6-5 back to the Eville station and we would swap out trucks when we got back. I then drove down to Holy Spirit Hospital. While we were down at the hospital, the tones went off, but we did not hear anything except static. When we took the stretcher out to the unit, I turned the key on so the radio's would come on so we could hear what we had. I heard County tell 20-1 that they were heading to an unresponsive person, so we knew Jim was on that call. After we got what we needed there, we stopped at the Wendy's by Holy Spirit to get something to eat for lunch. As we were pulling in the tones went off again for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. We heard 6-3 go responding and they told County that both of our ALS rigs were tied up on calls. So we got our food and as we walked out to the rig, County came back and told 6-3 that Perry Medic 81 and the City were all tied up and that they were going to try and get an ALS unit out of Northumberland County to come down. Carl then told County to check to see where we were as we should be on our way back from Holy Spirit Hospital. Tim got on the radio and said that we would respond from Holy Spirit Hospital. Tim waited until I was ready to pull out and said lets go and I turned the lights on. Now there were two lines of solid traffic sitting there waiting for the traffic light to change green and they had no where to pull off to. So I decided to go down the opposite side of the street. When I pulled out I reached up for the air horn chain and I felt none, and I realized that we had switched trucks and this truck had no air horns. I then went through the City to Sixth Street and then got on Cameron Street and headed that way. We met 6-3 at Sheetz in Halifax and Tim went down with them to Harrisburg Hospital and I headed back to the Eville station. Once there I backed 6-8 into the bay as that was the truck down at Eville and I went into check on supplies. I made a list of stuff I needed to order and then went up front and talked with Wedny. Jim then got back and then shortly after that, 6-3 got back. Tim restocked and we switched the gear back and then we left and headed back up to Lykens. We got up there and then we sat down to watch the second disk of Season Two of Emergency. I then grabbed my lunch out of the fridge and had that. after we watched the second show, Tim then logged hi charts in and then we went back to watching Emergency. Matt Smith then came in as I was preceptting him last night. Around 19:50 hours, the tones went off for chest pains in Jackson Township. Kuntz ended up going on that call. We then ran over to Dairy Queen to get dinner but they had turned the fryers off, so we went to Chao's and got dinner and went back to the station to continue watching Emeregcny. Jim Hoffman then came in and we got talking and he told me that Season 4 of Emergency was now out. He watched the one episode that we were watching and him and me made comments about how things have changed so much from back then. We watched Emergency up until around 23:50 hours and then Tim got back on the computer to finish his charts. I then turned on Discovery Channel and then laid down on the couch. I fell asleep at some point and woke up when the tones went off at 00:58 hours for a sick person in Wiconisco Township. I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and I let Matt run the show and I just stood back and watched. We got the guy loaded into the back of 6-3 and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. Again I let Matt run the show and I sat in the captain's chair and watched. This guy was just plane crazy. Apparently 3 to 4 days ago, while he was putting trash in a dumpster outside, he slipped on the ice and it ripped his shoes off of his feet and cut his feet all up. He was treating at himself and his friend told him not to let id scab over and to take the scabs off with a pen, which is what this guy had been doing for the past few days and now his feet were infected. The first thing I told him is he shouldn't have taken the scabs off as they help the skin to heal. So then when we were getting him on the stretcher he had his girlfriend bring out his two suitcases and he also had a plastic grocery bag with stuff in it. Matt asked him what it was and he said it was filters, rolling paper and a can of tobacco. Both Matt and me told him to leave that stuff here is he would not be rolling any smokes down at the hospital becuase he could not smoke down there and he could not smoke in the ambulance. After we got him loaded we headed on down. On the way down he told us that he took Percoet the past few days for the pain and he had also taken some Oxycotin that he had left over from pain he had in his teeth. After he was in the unit for 5 minutes he was already asleep. Matt did not like this and asked me to get a radial pulse on his right arm. At this point I decided to move up to the CPR seat. We kept asking the guy if he had taken any drugs or had any alcohol because of the way he was acting. He was slurring his words and having a hard time staying awake. He told us that he also took hydrocondone that he had for his TMJ. We got down to the hospital and when Matt gave the report to the nurses, I stayed there as it was funny as hell. Oh I forgot the best part, he was recently released from the State Pen after doing 5 years for growing pot and the reason he had all of the luggage was because he was going to check himself into the phsyc ward at Pottsville Hospital, where he is a frequent visitor. We then told the nurse about his girlfriend. She was also a recent release from the State Pen and also a recent left leg amputie from Mercy she got while in the prision. After we got what we needed we headed on back. Once back I laid down at 04:00 hours and went to sleep. I woke up at 07:55 hours when I heard Jim and Zach talking. I got up and got my stuff on my belt and my boots on and put my pillow back in the suitcase and then clocked out. I filled out a preceptor form for Matt and then me and Tim left and I headed on down to the Eville station. Once there I picked up my check and then left and headed on home. Once at home I talked to my mother for a little bit and then went back to bed to get some sleep. I woke up this evening at 05:00 hours. I ate dinner and read the paper and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Harrisburg Hospital

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and woke up at 05:35 hours when my cell phone rang. It was Robby telling me that they were back at the station now and that the fire was still going strong and that they had dispatched for Tanker 29 to go down. He said they dumped 12 loads of water during the 11 hours they were down there. I then went back to sleep. I woke up again around 06:30 hours when my cell phone rang again. It was my brother and I was surprised that he was calling me this early. I answered and he told me that both my grandfather and grandmother were in the ER at Harrisburg Hospital. He told me to go wake my mother up and let her know. So I got up and went out to the living room and woke my mother up and told her that her parents were in the ER. I then gave her my cell phone so she could talk to Josh. She hung up and said that we had to head down to the ER as Josh could only be with one of them as they were in two different slots. I called Carol real quick and asked if she could cover for me today as I had to take my mother down to the hospital since her parents and my grandparents were in the ER. She said she had plans and asked me if Sue was going to be around and I said no, I knew she wasn't going to be. She then said she would give Kim a call to see if she would be around. My mother then tooka quick shower and we left around 07:40 hours and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital in my car. We got down there and I parked in the ER parking lot and we went inside and I got us back into the ER and we found my brother sitting with my grandfather in bed 14. I talked to him while both my mother and my brother went over to my grandmothers slot. I then stayed with my grandfather and he told me that when he woke up this morning, he did not feel right, he felt dizzy when he was up and moving around. So he decided to take his blood pressure and his pulse was 189. At that point he woke my brother up who brought both of them to the ER around 04:00 hours. He got in almost right away since it delt with his heart. While they were waiting, apparently my grandmother passed out from being dehyrdated, so they stuck her in slot 19. About an 1-1/2 hours after we got down there, they released my grandmother and she came back over and I made her sit down in the chair while the heart doctor talked to my grandfather. They were going to addmit him for the weekend while they changed his blood pressure medication. My mother told my brother that she would go home with him and my grandmother so she could me with her and I said I would stay with my grandfather until he got into a room. So they then left and then the waiting game began. We sat in the ER until about almost 14:30 hours and then the moved him over into the advanced addmission unit. We were then in there until about 16:30 hours when the came in and said that they got a room for him and he would be going up shortly. He finally got in a room close to 17:00 hours and he got there just in time for dinner. I stayed a little bit longer and then left so I could head on home. I stopped at Pizza Hut and grabbed diner, the first meal I had had all day. I then headed on up through. I stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of Diet Iced Tea. I then swung by the fire house to see if Bubba was there yet or not. As I turned down the alley, Robby had turned in at the other end and we pulled in at the fire house at the same time. We went in and Troy was sitting in the office chair. We talked and shot the shit until around 20:40 hours and then we all left and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and soon going to go to bed as I have to get up early tomorrow to go to work.

Propane Tanker Fire

I went to bed Monday night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 09:00 hours when the tones went off for chest pains in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed on into the "Barn". I got there before Sue did, and the roads were wet as of then. I got there and popped the door to 13-1. I parked and went inside and got in 13-1. Sue got there and parked and then got in and off we went. We got there and went inside. Bowser and Tommy then showed up. We got the guy loaded up and I drove down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We ran over to the cafe real quick so Sue could get a cup of coffee and Tommy and Bowser could get something to eat. By the time we came out it was really started to snow. I took my time on the way back. We dropped Bowser and Tommy off at their squad and then me and Sue ran up and got fuel. We then decided to grab lunch. So we stopped at Pizza Delight and grabbed lunch and then headed on back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then talked to her while she did her tripsheet from the call. I then left the shed around 14:30 hours and headed on home. When I left the snow was really starting to lay on the roads and everything else. Once at home I changed shirts, got my suitcase and my Gatorade bottles and then left around 15:00 hours and headed on up to Lykens to relieve John. I stopped at Shell in Eville and got gas and then continued on up to Lykens. I got there and parked and went inside and 6-5 was gone. I clocked in and then got on the computer to check a few things. They the got back around 16:10 hours. John clocked out and left. I went out and shoveled the sidewalk off and then came back in and did my rig check and then filled out the form on the computer and then went back to checking things online while Tim slept on the couch. He woke up around 20:20 hours when one of the 22 boys came in to the day room. I talked with him for a little bit and then he left. Me and Tim then ran down to the pizza place and I got dinner, two slices of pizza. We then came back to the station and I popped in Disc 1 of Season 2 of Emergency and me and Tim watched the second side of Disc 1. We finsihed around 00:02 hours. Tim then got on the computer to do his chart and I laid down on the couch to watch Dirty Jobs on Discovery Channel. Then around 00:25 hours the tones went off for an unconscious person in Williamstowon Borough. I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then went out and got in 6-5 and off we went. We got there and I helped get the guy onto the stretcher and then they loaded him in 24-1. I then moved the rest of Tim's gear over to 24-1 and then went to Harrisburg Hospital. I went back to the station. Once there I laid back down on the couch and watched TV. I then feel asleep I think somewhere around 03:10 hours and woke up around 03:53 hours when I heard the Borough plow. I got up and stayed up then until 24-1 dropped Tim off. I then helped him restock and then I went to sleep around 04:30 hours. I woke up around 07:51 hours when the tones went off for a call in Upper Paxton Township. I then heard Tindell come in. After 6-1 went responding, I reset the pager and went back to sleep. Tindell woke me up at 08:38 hours and asked me for my car keys as they wanted to plow the parking lot. I went out and cleaned my car off and moved it and then went back inside and sat down on the couch. At 09:14 hours, I heard County Fire dispatch Box 216-2 for an accident with injuries. I pulled my clipboard out and started writing stuff down as I was missing another fire call. Jim and Enders took that call as Tindell was going to have Stutzman come up to Lykens when I left at 10:00 hours. Then around 09:40 hours Stutzman called Tindell and told him that Perry Medic 81 was going to an ALS call in Millersburg. Tindell called down to County and asked them if they had a call for us, and they said yes and he said 6-5 would be responding. Tindell then told me that I could head home as he would pick up Stutzman in Eville. So I clocked out and put my stuff in my car and then headed on home. I got to the top of Eville mountain and traffic was stopped. I was going to stop at the scene after traffic strated moving again. While I was sitting there, I heard Bubba place the Engine in service, and then traffic started moving again. I then stopped by the fire house and as I pulled in the Engine was backing in the station. Jess was out buy her car and waved at me. I then parked and went inside the station. I talked to Bubba and Troy as they were the only 2 on the Engine. I then filled out a report for Bubba and then talked to him and Troy while Bubba put the report in the system. While we were sitting there, they were still dispatching units to the propane truck fire in East Hanover Township. I said to Bubba that I had a feeling that we would be heading to this call at some point today. I then headed on home around 11:20 hours. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then read the paper and then ate lunch. I then got on the PS2 and played some Leisure Suit Larry. I then got off at 16:00 hours and got on the computer to do a few things and eat dinner. Then around 17:46 hours the fire pager went off for the Tanker to assist on the propane tanker fire. I got my shoes on and grabbed my pager, cell phone and jacket and then my keys and ran out to my car. I got in and headed on up to the fire house. I got there and LeeAnn and Katina's cars were parked in front of the hall and Troy's truck down by the fire house. I parked and got out and fell when I reached the door of the station. I went inside and the Tanker was already started and the bay door was up. I saw Robby's shoes sitting on the floor and the passenger's side door open. I went to it and looked in and there was gear sitting on the floor. I then ran around the front of the Tanker and saw Bubba and asked him who was going with him and he said Robby. I then looked out the front door and saw Robby running back across the lot. He then got in and off they went. I then headed on home and finished eating dinner. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. As of now the Tanker is still down on the scene of the fire and I am hoping to get a call soon about rotating out with Robby on the Tanker, and if not, oh well. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Wind and Cold

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed around 05:25 hours when the pager went off for a nose bleed in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". When I passed Dohn's house he was just pulling out of the garage so I knew once again that I was going to be driving as I would get there first. I got there and popped the door for 13-1 as I was pulling in. I parked, went inside and got in 13-1 and pulled it out. By that time Dohn was pulling in and I put us responding. He got in and off we went. We got there and Dohn found out it was the guy that him and Carol had a few weeks ago. 6-3 got there and it ended up being released to BLS. We got the guy loaded up and then I drove down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Once back at the shed, I restocked the unit and logged my time in. I then left and ran up to Giant and picked up a gallon of milk and a few bags of chips and headed on home. Once at home I ate breakfast and then read the paper. I then came back to my room and went over the skill sheets for the practical part of the Firefighter 1 test. I practiced the knots that we will need to know for the test. I then ate lunch and then got on the PS2 to play Leisure Suit Larry. I got off around 17:10 hours and went over to my room and got on my computer to do a few things while I watched MASH on TV. Then around 17:25 hours the pager went off for a call in Millersburg. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the shed. I got half way there when 20-2 went responding and we were placed in service. I continued into the shed and once there put my time in for the day and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer and watched MASH on TV. I just finished taking a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Busy Day with High Winds

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this monring at 11:26 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 12:30 hours for the firefighter 1 review class. I got up there and parked and went in the station. LeeAnn was sitting in there and her and me got talking about the accident on Friday. Lonny then came in, followed by Troy and Bubba. They asked me about the accident and I started telling them while Bubba got on the computer to print out times for the call on Friday. As he was finishing printing, the power flicked off and then back on in the station. We then heard Dave pull in and then we all headed up to the hall. Bill had just come in the station and he turned around and headed back up to the hall. Once up there, we asked Dave if we were going to need our gear and he said yes. So I we all went down to the station and got our gear and brought it back up to the hall. Then, myself, Lonny, and Troy went down and brought 3 air packs up. Alf came out also to get our applications. They started talking to us about the practical portion of the test and what we would need to do, when all of a sudden, all of our pagers went off for a tree on wires with fire on Creek Road in Jackson Township. We all got up and since our gear was in the hall, we got dressed there. I kicked my shoes off and stepped into my pants when the lights started to flick off and on again. Bubba yelled for someone to get down to the station to get the bay doors open before the power went out. Also the siren had stopped when the power flicked off and on. I got my pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and headed on down to the station. Troy had already left as did LeeAnn, but we were not fast enough as by the time we got down there, the power was now off and we could not get the bay doors open. Troy then quickly grabbed the Little Giant ladder and pulled the emergency release handle on the door for the Engine and then me and Lonny pushed it up. Troy then went over and did the same to the door for the Tanker and he pushed it up. Bubba drove the Engine and I jumped in the officers seat and LeeAnn got in the back. Bubba told Lonny to bring the Tanker. Troy then got on top of the Tanker to pull the door the rest of the way back and to also move the bar out of the way so it would not damage the light bar. Once the Tanker was out, Jason pulled in and ran into the station to get his gear on. Troy jumped in the back of the Engine and we told Jason to go with Lonny in the Tanker. We went responding and we heard Dave go on locatoin. We got there and him and Jason Faust were sitting in his truck and my father was there also. We parked and there was one tree leaning on the wires and the top of the pole was starting to lean towards one side from the weight. Bubba checked the lines to make sure they were not hot and then we thought of a few ways to get the tree off the wires. Bubba suggested about cutting it at the bottom and seeing if that would be enough to make it fall off the lines. Jason Faust said he thought that would add extra weight to the lines and snap the top of the pole off. We then said about hooking a rope up to Dave's truck and pulling it off. We decided that would be our best bet. So we ended up sending my father back to the station to grab some rope that was laying there and bring it back to the scene. Meanwhile we talked to the one neighboor who said he had a medium sized tractor that we could use. We deciced to have him bring it down and we would tie the rope to that and have him pull it off. Meanwhile we got the chain saw down off the Engine and then my father got back with the rope. We got that all hooked up and the guy pulled it off the lines. We then cut some of the tree up and the guys said they would cut the rest of it up. We then put everything away and headed back to the station. We backed the Engine in and there was a lot of snow on various things in the station. The hood of the Utility had snow on it and some of the gear by the Tanker bay door had snow on it. We then had Lonny park the Tanker outside and then I grabbed a mult-purpose hook off of the Engine and used that to shut the Tanker door. Troy then hooked the bar back up to the door while Bubba stretched a extension cord from the generator on the Engine. Troy then set the ladder up to get to the motor for the door and plugged it into the extension cord and we used the generator to open the door, then had Lonny back the Tanker in and used it to shut the door. Jason then got up on the Engine and we did the same thing with that bay door. We then put everything away and then we headed back up to the hall to continue the review. Dave went over how to inspect the air pack and then we moved on to the dooning of the air pack. We praticed and I got it down to 1 minute and 1 second. He then went over a few other things and then we were done for the day. We cleaned up the face masks and changed out the cylinders on the packs and put everything away on the Utility. I then ran the 3 cylinders into Station 29 to get them filled. That took all of 5 minutes and then I headed back to the station. Once there I put the cylinders away and got back in my car and started towards home. I then noticed that the curtins were still open in the hall so I stopped in front of the hall to go in and fix them when the pager went off for Chief 216 to call Communications. I went inside and fixed the curtins and then got back in my car and went back down to the station and parked and sat in my car to wait for it. About a minute later, the pager went off to assist PSP with a tree down on Quarry Road in Jackson Township. I went inside and got my gear on and waited for Bubba, Troy, and Lonny to get up there. They got up there and I went around the back of the Engine and started the generator up awhile. Bubba then told me to take the Utilty while he handed me the extension cord. I took it up and threw it up to Troy who was on top of the Engine and he plugged it in to the motor and Jason opened the door up and Troy unplugged it and threw it back down. Ray had come in by that point and I told him to get in the Utility. The Engine pulled out and then we did. We got to the end of the alley when Dave put the box in service. So we turned around and I backed the Utility in and then Bubba backed the Engine in. Me and Ray were then fidling around with the generator on the Engine when the lights came back on and we closed the door and I took my gear off and then filled out a report for this. Bubba then got times and I finished filling out the reports and then he entered them into firehouse software. I left there around 19:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Calls

Around 20:30 hours last night the pager went off for a psychatric problem in Halifax Township. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Kim was already there. I pulled in and she had the bay door for 13-1 up and she was sitting in the passengers seat. I parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. I drove to the scene, but then went down in the back since it was a guy we were taking down. After we got what we needed down at Harrisburg Hospital. we headed on back to the shed. Once back I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. Once I was done I headed on home. Once at home I finished up on the computer and went to bed around 02:30 hours. I got up this afternoon at 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer for a few minutes and then did some more cleaning in my room. I then got back on the computer around 16:40 hours. We ordered a pizza from Pizza Delight and had it delivered to the house. I ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer and watched some TV. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

These Eys Have Seen Too Much Death

I went to bed last night around 03:50 hours and was rocked out of bed around 06:45 hours I believe when the pager went off for a unconscious person in Millersburg Borough. It was for either 20 or us, so I did not move that fast as I knew 20 would be getting out. The pager then went off again 5 minutes later as they were still dispatching for 20 or us. Sue then called my cell phone and said that she was getting up and getting ready to take the unit back to the "Barn" and she would meet me there. She then asked me if this was 20's second call and I said no, that I thought they were just redispatching for the unconscious person. About that time 20-1 got on the air and went responding and we were placed in service. Me and Sue talked for a few minutes and then we both went back to bed. Then around 07:15 hours the pager went off again for another call in Upper Paxton Township. 6-3 then got on the air and told county that they would handle that call and keep us in service. I reset the pager and back to sleep I went. I was rocked out of bed a third time around 08:40 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township at the red light. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". When I passed Dohn's house he was just leaving. So I got there first and popped the door to 13-1, parked and went inside and pulled 13-1 out and by that time Dohn was there. He got in and off we went. We got there and Engine 29-1 was already there and Sue and Scott were standing with the patient. They put her in the back of the unit and got in and I stayed outside and talked to Scott and looked at her vehicle. After the trooper got out of the unit, I got in. She signed off and then we left and headed back to the shed. Once at the shed, I logged my time in and then left and headed up to Giant. I picked up a gallon of Diet Iced Tea and then headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then my mother helped me clean out the top of my closet and underneath my bed. We are still making room for me to get a bookcase for in my room and I am making room in other places to move some of the stuff out from the corner I want to put the bookcase in. I then ate lunch while I played Leisure Suit Larry on the PS2. Then at 14:58 hours, I county dispatch 29 for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township, followed shortly by the EMS pager going off. I saved my game and shut it off and got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to Dohn's house. Scott went responding and county advised of a motorcycle versus a SUV and that the motorcyclist was laying along the side of the roadway. Scott had County place Life Lion on standby. I got to Dohn's house, parked and got in 13-1 and off we went. As we were coming in town, County called 6-3 and told them that Scott had taken Life Lion off of standby, but still wanted them to come in as it was now a traumatic cardiac arrest. We got to the Post Office and saw Engine 29 coming down Second Street. We pulled out behind them and followed them to the scene. As we were pulling up to the scene, I took my jacket off as I knew I was going to be doing CPR and it would only get in my way. Dohn parked and I got out as he was stopping. I quick grabbed a pair of gloves and then ran around to where Scott and Sue were doing CPR on the guy. I asked Sue if she needed to switch out and she said she was fine. I stayed behind her incase she needed to switch out. We then heard 6-3 coming and once they got there Wertz came over and set up shop. He handed me a set of AED pads and then I took over compressions. It ended up being called as the guy was obviously past help. We then stayed there until the County Corner came and we helped shield the body while she took pictures and then helped her load the body up and into her SUV. As we were pulling up to the scene, my fire pager went off for fire police to assist in shutting down 147 and directing traffic. After the County Corner was done, we headed on back to Dohn's house. Once I picked up my car, I headed back into the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. Once I was done I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Emergency Junkies

I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got my suitcase and took it out to the kitchen. I then got my lunch and Gatorade bottles together. I then got Wendy's subs together and then put everything in my car and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at the Eville station and put Wendy's subs in the fridge and then got back in my car and headed up to Lykens. I stopped at the Tower Mini Mart and got a bag of chips for lunch and then headed over to the station. I got there and parked and went inside and Tim was already there and Tindell was just waking up and Carl was out in the bay talking on his cell phone. I put my stuff in the fridge and then clocked in. Carl then told me how the truck was and I did a rig check on it. The four of us then talked and then Tindell left and then me, Tim and Carl talked for awhile and then Carl left. Jim then called about going to breakfast when the tones went off for a transformer fire in Lykens Township. Kathy and Enders took that call and Jim said about going to breakfast when they go available. Meanwhile I had already eaten the breakfast that I had packed. They went available about 20 minutes later and then we headed on down to Special Place. I got a glass of water and a side order of toast and that was all that I got there. While we were eating, the tones went off for a sick person in Evill Borough that Kathy and Enders again took. We finished breakfast and then ran down to the Eville station to pick up some supplies. Steve then pulled me in and told me to compare prices with Tri-Anim, EMP, and Moore Medical on some meds that we use and report back to him. I told him I also had another order to place and that I would compare the prices once I got back up to Lykens. Jim and Steve were also working on a going away gag gift for Leah, who is moving to Virigina to teach. Steve then left to do something and Tim said he was ready to head back up to Lykens so we left and headed back up. I stopped at Shell and got fuel in 6-8 and then headed back to the station. Once there I put the supplies away and then started the order with Tri-Anim, and then compared the prices on the meds and then talked to Steve. I then sat down on the couch and me and Tim started watching Season Two of Emergency. We had just finished watching the first episode and started the second one when the tones went off for abdominal pain in Northumberland County. We got in 6-8 and off we went. It was just outside of Klingerstown. We got there and found out it was the driver that wrecked his truck on the mountain about 4 weeks ago, the accident that me and Tim got lost going to. Tim made the decision to fly him out and the LZ was at the Klingerstown Carnival Grounds. We flew him out and then we headed on back. We stopped at the Shell in Gratz so Tim could get some smokes. Steve then called me and told me to come straight down to the Eville station so Leah could see Tim before she left. I told Tim that Steve wanted us to come straight down to the Eville station and he did not tell me why. We got down there and I helped Tim restock his supplies and then I mopped out the back of 6-8 since we got mud all in it. I then saw some supplies sitting in the front office and I put them away and then went into say goodbye to Leah. I did not have a whole lot of shifts with her and I did not work with her much when I ran at 13, but the times I did, she was a extremly good medic. Her and Steve then left and then we left and headed back up to Lykens. We finished watching Side A of Disk 1 of Emergency and then Tim did his chart from the Klingerstown call. We then ran over to Dairy Queen to get some dinner. While we were there, Jim called Tim and told him that Kathy and Flipper were taking a call in Lykens Township. We got back to the station and I went in and sat down on the couch and started eating. Tim went out in the bay to smoke and then I heard him talking to someone. When he came back in he said we had to go down the street and check on someone. So I put my food in the microwave and then got in 6-8 and we went down the road. We checked the lady out and got her loaded up and headed on down to Holy Spirit. As I turned onto Front Street, I looked in the back and I saw Tim walk around the stretcher with full PPE on, the blue paper gown, mask and gloves. He then stuck his head up front threw an isolation kit on the passangers seat for me and told me to call into Holy Spirit for him and tell the, what we had. I called in to Holy Spirit and then when we got over there, I put the isolation kit on. Once we moved her over, I wiped down everything in the unit and then deconed it once we got back to the station. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I dropped Tim off at his apartment so he could grab a quick shower and then I headed back to the station. I restocked the supplies that he used and then I deconed the back of the unit. I then sat down and finished eating my dinner while I watched TV. Tim then did his second chart and then took a break and sat down on the couch. I had just gotten up to put the Emergency DVD back in when the tones went off around 00:20 hours for abdominal pains in Gratz Borough. I got my stuff back on my belt and then got my boots on and got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front Street to Tim could get something to his headache. He then went in the back abd laid down on the bench seat and fell asleep. Once back at the station I asked him if he was coming in and he said no, that he wanted to rest out her. So I went inside and munched on something and watched a litle TV and then went to sleep at 04:00 hours. I was rocked off the couch around 07:15 hours when the tones went off for a structure fire in Eville Borough. It ended up not being a fire, but a mother had accidently locked herself out of the house and had left food on the stove and her five year old was in the house. 6-3 ended up being put in service. Then around 07:40 hours the tones went off for an unconscious person in Washington Township. 6-3 took that one. I decided to get up and get my stuff together. I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then put my pillow away. I then got my jacket and scope out of 6-8 and brought them into the day room. I then took my suitcase and lunch box out to my car and then came back in. Bowser was there by this time. John then showed up and I clocked out and we talked for a little bit. Then around 07:15 hours the tones went off for a diabetic problem at the Keepler Home in Eville Borough. I left and headed on down to the Eville station to do up my time card. I talked to Steve real quick and then left and headed on home. I called my mother and told her I was leaving Eville and she said she would get dressed and head out to the garage awhile. I got there and she pulled in like 2 minutes later. I then took her home. Once at home we talked for a little bit and then I went to bed to get some sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 16:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I am soon going to head into town to get my hair cut. I will be back on after I get back and will be on late then so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Subs, Subs and more Subs

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this afternoon around 12:30 hours when the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Carol already had 13-1 pulled out. I parked and got in and off we went. It was for one of our frequent flyers again. We got there and Dohn was already there. When I got out, Scott pulled in and 6-2 was coming down the street also. We got him loaded up and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We dropped the medic off at his squad and then went back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then left and headed up to Giant. As I walked out of the shed, Sue sent me a text asking me where I was and I told her. She then called me and we talked for close to 30 minutes. She asked me if I was going past Giant or not and I said I was actually going there myself. She asked me if I could pick up a box of popsicles and a gallon of Iced Tea for her and sit it outside her front door as she did not want me coming into the house and getting the flu. I said that was not a problem and picked up the stuff for her and took it over to her house and sat it outside the front door and then left and headed on home. I talked to her until I got home and then I changed into street clothes and then cleaned out the bottom of my closet and got rid of a lot of old boxes that I no longer need. I then ate dinner while I watched TV. The EMS pager was going off like crazy. Around 15:30 hours, it went off for a fall victim I believe it was in Halifax Township. Then around 16:00 hours it went off for a call in Upper Paxton Township. Medic 6 ended up taking that one as 20 was out and we had no second crew. Then around 17:15 hours it went off for an unconscious person in Halifax Township. 20 ended up taking that call and 6 came down as ALS. Then around 17:25 hours, it went off for breathing problems in Jackson Township. They had Williamstown coming down for BLS and Perry Medic 81 coming over for ALS. I got my shoes on and headed up to the fire house awhile to go help make subs. While I was on my way up, I called Scott and asked him if he knew what was all going on and he said yes. I then asked him if he knew that 24 was coming down as BLS and he said yes. I suggested to him about dispatching 216 for a medical assist since EMS had an extended eta and he said that he would do that. Just as I was turning into the parking lot, the pager went off for a medical assist. I parked and as I got out I saw Troy coming running down from the hall and then Bubba come out of the back. I went into the station and LeeAnn was right behind and then Robby came running in. I took my job sweat off and threw it on top of the fridge and then kicked my shoes off into my stall and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and ran over and opened the right jump seat door and let LeeAnn get in and then I got in. Troy got in the left jump seat, Robby was in the officers seat and Bubba was driving. Kenny was also getting his gear on as was Lonny, so we had them bring the Utility. My father then pulled in and he followed in his truck. We got there and Jason Faust was already there and had us pull off onto the right side of the road and back into the drive way. We all got out and that was when we found out it was across the road. So Bubba told us to get back in and we would drive over. As we pulled out, we heard the Wheel Chock hit the road and then a big bump as it had fallen off and I think we might have run over it. We got over there and walked inside and Tracey was a little surprised to see us there. He asked that only I stay in there so that the living room would not be over crowded. I then asked for my father to come in and then we helped Tracey. I wrote meds down while my father helped him with the IV and blood tubes. 24 then showed up and we got them loaded up and then I drove the squad back to our station. I then went inside and took my gear off and then went over to see why Bubba had backed the Engine in off center. I found out it was to work on the compartment, as it had slightly bent the the bottom of it and the bottom of the compartment door. Bubba used the sledge hammer to fix the bottom and then a rubber mallet to fix the door as much as we could. Troy then went under to fix the bracket that holds the wheel chock and then he moved the Engine out and I backed the Utility in and he backed the Engine in. I then watched Bubba put the report in so I can learn to do them then. I then went up to the hall and got a piece of cake and went down and sat with Jess, Troy, LeeAnn, and Kenny and then Holly came down and we got talking about the hall and fund raisers. I then got my 13 subs and headed over to Kim's house and dropped off her subs, then went to Scott's house and dropped his subs off. I then went over to Sue's house to drop there subs off. Her and Bob were upstairs and then Amanda came down and paid me and we got talking about a bunch of things. I then left and headed back to the station. When I got there, Holly was the only person left and she was just getting ready to leave. I went inside and got the rest of my subs and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I have to work today at Medic 6.

THE GIANTS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 05:25 hours when the fire pager went off. I sat up in bed and it was only for Chief 216 to call county. So I reset the pager and laid back down in bed. 3 minutes later the pager went off again for a public assist. I got out of bed and got dressed and I heard my father up and moving around. I then got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I pulled in and the Engine was already sitting out and I saw Robby getting in the officer's seat and LeeAnn's car sitting there. I got out and went inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. As I was snapping my pants, county redispatched it as a class 1 now and I heard the breaker for the house siren trip and it started going off. When I came out, my father was there and I saw Jason come running around the back of the Engine towards the station. So I ran over to the Engine and LeeAnn was in the back and Bubba was in the driver's seat. I opened up the left jump seat door and asked Bubba if he wanted me to take the Utility and he said yes. So I closed the door and ran back into the station. Jason was getting his pants on and I popped the Engine day door and ran over to the Utility and unplugged it. Jason then ran over and got in the Utility with me and I pulled it out. I then saw Ray running towards the Engine and I saw him get in and I heard Robby put us responding with 2. We were apparently going to Pleasnt View Extension off of Nice Road to help lift a 4 wheeler off of someone. County upgraded the call to a class 1 because the guy said he was starting to have some problems breathing. We got to the road and Jean was already there for Fire Police. We got back there and just before we found him one of his buddies got the 4 wheeler off of him. Jason Faust was ahead of us and he pulled over and hopped on the back of the Utility. We were there for a little under 1 hour and then we headed on back. Once back at the station, we hung around and shot the shit. I left the station around 07:18 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my uniform for Medic 6. I then got my suitcase and took it out to the kitchen. I then got my lunch and Gatorade bottles together. I then left around 07:30 hours and headed in up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and parked and clocked in by 07:49 hours. John and Steppler were there as was Tim. I did a rig check and then talked to John and Steppler until they left. I then ate breakfast and then did my date checks on 6-8 and the cabinet's. I then sat down on the couch to watch Space Balls on TV. I then got up and went to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom, I heard a call being dispatched on the fire channel and opened my fire pager up to here what it was for. About that time the pager went off for an accident with entrapment in Williamstown Borough. I quickly finished and then went out ot the bay and got in 6-8 and off we went. On the way up, fire confirmed negative entrapment, just confinement. We got up there and went over to the scene to see what was going on. There was one lady that they were in the process of strapping onto the backboard. Tim then said that he was going to go set up in the truck, so I went back and helped him load his gear into 24's bus. They then headed on down to Hershey. I headed back to the station. Once there I watched the end of Space Balls and then I hosed down 6-8. I then got on the computer to check a few things. I then ate lunch while I watched TV. Just before Tim got back, the tones went off fo seizures at the Keepler Home. 6-3 and 6-2 went enroute and they then updated it to a Cardiac Arrest. I quick called Tim to see where he was at and he said that he was just coming in to Lykens. County then said that the lady had a DNR order. Carl was on with 24 and he got back and I helped unload the gear. We had not heard anything from Jim, so we decided to head on down that way incase they needed help. We got there and they already had the lady in the back of 6-3. We jumped in and Jim was getting ready to put the lady on CPAP. Tim helped him with that and then he put an IV in the lady. They ended up going to Harrisburg. Tim then took the squad back to the Eville station and I drove 6-8. Once there I checked my supplies that had come in over the weekend and then I put in an order for some more supplies. I then watched some TV until they got back. Once they got back we talked for a little bit and then headed on back to Lykens. Once there Tim went to sleep on the couch and I sat down to look at some old run records from the fire company. I then ordered a pizza around 17:30 hours and then walked down and picked it up along with a soda and a bag of chips and went back to the station. Once back I turned the Super Bowl on and me and Tim ate while we watched the Super Bowl. Shortly after the game started the tones went off for an ALS call in Upper Paxton Township. Then about 10 to 20 minutes later, the tones went off again for a sick person in Washington Township at the PSP headquarters. We got to watch the whole game and the commercials. I was happy that the Giant won and knocked off the Patriots and kept them from having a perfect season. We were then watching House when around 22:20 hours the tones went off for a CVA in Hubley Township in Schuylkill County. That was our call, so I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots back on and then went out and got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and Heigins was the BLS company. They were loading the guy up when we pulled up. I moved Tim's gear over to the BLS bus and then I followed them up to Pottsville Good Sam. Once up there, I moved all his gear back over to our bus and then when he was done we left and headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Tim could get a cup of coffee and I got something to munch on and drink and then we headed on back to the station. While we were on our way back, we heard 6-3 go to Upper Paxton Township for chest pains. We got back around 01:30 hours. Tim then did his chart and I laid down on the couch and watched Mythbusters. I fell asleep at some point and woke up around 07:49 hours when I heard Jim coming barging in and talking loudly. I got up and put my stuff away, clocked out and then left around 08:30. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up some chocolate eggs for my grandparents. I then ran down to the Eville station and picked up my check and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into my PJ's and went to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played Leisure Suit Larry until 18:19 hours. I ate dinner while I played. I then left and headed on up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I got there and Bubba and Robby were down in the station. I then went up to the hall and had a piece of Jess's cake and then we had the meeting. The meeting went good and then we had Firemen's relief meeting, and that was short, but not as short at the last time. Jess then showed up afterwards and I talked to her for a little bit and then she left and headed down to the house to tend to Jaz. Then myself, Troy and LeeAnn talked for probally about an hour and then we all headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS!!!

I know it is two days late, but the party was last night. I left the house around 19:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. LeeAnn was already up there when I got there. I parked and went into the station and no one was in there. So I grabbed a Coors Light out of the fridge and drank it. I then headed up to the hall as I had seen the lights on in the kitchen. When I came out of the station, Kenny was walking down. I asked him if the back door to the hall was open and he said yes. So I went in and went to the bathroom and then went into the kitchen and sat down. I told her that I had a Coors Light already and that there was a whole case down in the fridge. She asked me if there was any Miller Lite and I said I saw two on the door so I went down to get her one and saw that there were actually 12 more on the one shelf. I took it back up to her. LeeAnn then told me that Amanda was not going over because she was going to stay back and man a second unit at 13 because of the expected weather. Helen then came in, followed by Katina, and then Lonny. Katina then went down to start the van up and we all headed on down to the fire house. Katina and LeeAnn ended up getting in the van then and then I got in. Then Katina got out to smoke and then LeeAnn went out to go get another Miller Lite. I asked her to get me another Coors Light while she was in there. By this time, Jason and Dave had showed up, along with Lyle, Troy, House and Michelle. Bubba then came up and we all gave him our money. Then Helen and Jesse came down. The Robin and Jess came up and then we were just waiting on Mandy and her boyfriend, Jared. They got there and then everyone got in. Bubba was driving and Dave was up front in the passengers seat. Then it was me, Robin and Jess in the first bench seat. Then it was Katina, Jason and Jared, then LeeAnn, Lyle, and Mandy. Then it was Helen, Jesse, and Troy in the back seat. We then headed into Shell to meet Roller Dave. We got there and almost everyone pilled out to go into Shell. I got a Gatorade for the ride home and then went back outside. Roller Dave was driving over and taking House, Michelle and Lonny with him. We then all got back in the van and Robin moved to the window and put me between her and Jess. We got over there a little after 21:00 hours and we got setteled in at our table and I got my Coors Light and then put my songs in. I actually got to sing 4 times last night. I sang Ring of Fire, me, Bubba, and Troy sang International Harvester and then the 3 of us sang Honky Tonk, Badonky Donk, and then me and Bubba sang Ticks. I know I bought Jess a Miller Lite, Helen a drink, Troy two Lagers. I then did a Yeager Bomb with Jason, Troy and Lyle and then me and Jess did a shot of Rythmn and Blues. I don't know how many Coors Lights I had last night, I lost count. Me and Jason also played two games of pool and I dance with Jess. I know right before we left, I went over to the bathroom and ended up vomiting. We left there around 02:15 hours I believe it was. Someone asked if we were stopping for breakfast and we said no. There was only one change in the seating arrangments on the way home. Troy asked Robin if she could sit in the back seat so he could be by the door and she said that was not a problem. So I got in by the window and then Troy got in and then Jess. After we got on 104 and had gone only a little bit, Troy asked Bubba to find a road to pull over as he had to vomit. So we ended up pulling over right before the intersection of 104 and 11/15. He climbed out over Jess to go vomit. The funny thing is about 5 minutes before we stopped, Jess and Mandy were talking about how that were surprised that they had not passed out yet and then they both did at the same time. I know on the way down 104, Jess jad taken her shirt off and was sitting there in a spagetti strap top. When Troy got out to vomit, she asked for it back and Dave handed it to her as she had thrown it up on the dash and then she put it on and her jacket back on and sat by the doors getting some cool air. When Troy went to get back in, she slid over on the seat, turned towards me and laid her head down on my right leg and her hands fell down to the floor. And that was where she stayed the whole way home. I put my arm on her back to rest it but also to comfort her. Troy was beside her and had his head against the back of the front passenger's seat and I think he was passed out also. I just rode there with Jess's head on my lap and just sipped my Gatorade. At some point I must have fallen asleep as I woke up because we had stopped. I was not holding my Gatorade as it was now under the back of the driver's seat. We had pulled over at Shamos School Road as Lyle had to go outside and vomit. While we were sitting there Jason started taking pics of Jess's head in my lap with her camera, and then he passed it up to his father to get a little better shot. We then stopped at Shell to fuel up and to pick up Lonny to take back out to the station to his truck. Jess did not move at all when Roller Dave stuck his head in to talk to everyone. After we left Shell, I felt Jess move her hands up and down my right leg a little bit, so I knew she was ok. Bubba stopped the van in front of their house so Troy could help Jess inside. Troy and me then tried to wake her up. We lifted her up off my leg and were calling her name and she said no, just a little bit more and grabbed on to my leg and started to lay back down. We finally got her up and Troy helped her into the house. We then went around to the back of the fire house and everyone got out and left and headed on home. Once at home I grabbed the paper, called Bill to let him know we were back and then I went inside. I sat the paper on the lover seat beside my mother, let her know that I was home and then went back to my room, changed into my PJ's and then went to bed around 03:41 hours. I woke up this morning at 11:45 hours and got out of bed and took a shower. I then changed into street clothes and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 to play some Leisure Suit Larry. I then got off around 16:10 hours and came over and cleaned out the corner of my room. County Radios Down

I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and was woken up around 06:30 hours when my cell phone went off. It was Sue texting me as she could not sleep. So we texted back and forth for anout 15 minutes and then we both went back to bed. I was then rocked out of bed again around 08:20 hours I believe it was when the pager went off for an accident with injuries in Halifax Township. I listened until 13 got out and then I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning then around 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and decided to take a shower. I then ate lunch and read the paper. Then around 13:06 hours, Holly called my cell phone and asked me if I was at home. I told her that yes I was. She then said about going up to the fire house to stand by as the county radios were currently down. I told her I would head up once I finished eating lunch. I got up there and Bubba and Jason Faust were already there. Lyle came in next and then LeeAnn and Katina. Next came Kenny and then Robby and then Troy and Lonny. Bruce also showed up somewhere in there and was there for about 1-1/2 hours. Lonny then headed on home and then around 16:00 hours county called and said we could go off stand by as they got the tower unthawed. I left there around 16:45 hours and headed on home. I just finished eating dinner amd am soon going to get ready to head to shade mountain tonight. I will not be on late tonight due to being over at Shade Mountain.

Another Call With Sue

I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this afternoon around 13:10 hours when the pager went off for abdominal pains in Jackson Township. Scott called me and asked me if I was up and moving and I said yes. I also told him to have Kim pick me up in Fisherville since it was out this way. I got up and got dressed and then got my boots on and then got in my car and headed to the church in Fisherville. As I pulled in Bubba and Robin drove by heading home. I parked and got out and went over and stodd in front of Bubba's house. I then heard Bubba yell up to me and ask me where I was going and I told him Straws Church Road, and he told me that he was going to be in the fire house if we needed us for lifting and I told him ok. Kim then picked me up and off we went ot the scene. We got there and went inside and the guy showed all the signs of a problem with his appendix. We got him loaded and started on down to Harrisburg. When we almost got to the base of the mountain I stuck my head up front and told Kim I wanted to go class 2 now as I was not comfortable with the amount of pain the guy had. So we ran class 2 down to the hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and we got fuel. I then ran back out to the church and got my car and then went back into the "Barn" while Kim took the bus back. I got there and and restocked 13-2 and then logged my times in and then did the paperwork from the call. Once I was done I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and played Leisure Suit Larry on the PS2. Then around 18:10 hours the pager went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. I saved my game and then got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. When I got there, Sue was already there and had 13-2 pulled out and waiting for me. I parked and got in 13-2 and off we went. We followed Scott to the scene as it was a baby. It ended up being a low budget call and we cancelled 6-2 and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. Sue had me stop at McDonald's so she could get a salad and I got a vanilla milk shake to go and then we headed on back. Once at the shed I logged my time in and said goodbye to Sue as they were having a Handbook Meeting and I left. I ran up to Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at Giant to get a gallon of Diet Iced Tea, but they did not have any, so I left and headed on home. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
