My Daily Thoughts
Saturday, May 31, 2008
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into old street clothes. I then grabbed the old kitty liter buckets and put them in my trunk. I then grabbed the bag of soda cans, the bad of old shell casings and an old curtin rod and put them in my trunk. I then grabbed something to eat for breakfast and ate it quick. I then left the house around 07:40 hours and headed on up to the fire houe. Troy had called me and told me that him and LeeANn were running back to his house to get his cutting torch and if they weren't there when I got there to start pulling stuff out of the dump trailer. I got there and they had already left. I started pulling the stuff out and then Kenny came down and he helped. They the got back and helped unload the trailer. Bill then showed up and we started sorting stuff out. Right at 09:00 hours peple started showing up and dropping stuff off. We helped them unload the stuff and then would go back to sorting the stuff. It was a long hard day. The rain that got mixed in there didn't help matters any, just made things muddy and wet. Bubba finally showed up around 13:00 hours and started brining his scrap up. I was already started on the stuff in the old firehouse. We finished up with everything by 19:00 hours. We got more tin then we thought we would and ended up calling Jason and having him and Matt bring the dump truck down for us to use. Schoffstall, Lonny, Lyle and Katina were there also. Katina mainly worked on food and drinks for us. We packed the dump truck full of tin. The dump trailer we put prepared stuff in there. Troy's little utility trailer I packed full of aluminum. We also sat aside Staineless Stell, Brass, Copper, and old car batteries. We also sat aside bags of aluminum cans, wheel rims, and the big appliances. We put them on Troy's goose neck trailer at the end then. After we were done, Troy's and LeeAnn took the trailers back to his place. At one point Lonny and Lyle left and did a pool fill. After we were done, I went up in to the hall and talked with Schoffstall and Katina. LeeAnn then came in and talked a little bit and then headed on home. I thanked Katina for making dinner for us, wihch was hot dogs, hamburgers anda other stuff. I then left the fire house around 20:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then placed my game I got from ebay of Indiana Jones. I am soon going to bed as I am really tired.

Natural Cover Fire
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I did a few things on the computer. I then left the house around 12:30 hours and headed on up to the fire house to work on a few things. I took down the old track and springs for the old overhead door. I then took apart the vacuum cleaners that Bill gave us yesterday. Bubba then came up and we got talking and went over into the fire house and shot the shit and talked about a few things. Troy and Jeff then got back and Troy had the dump trailer we rented from Prime Line in Berrysburg for the weekend. They had gone down to Berrysburg to Jeff's friend and picked up almost 3,000 pounds of scrap metal. Most of it was round stock and heavy as shit. I then started on the old chain saw when Troy told me to go with him as we had two loads of scrap to pick up from two different people. We got both piles and then I told Troy to swing by my house and we could pick up what we have as of tonight. We then headed back up to the fire house. Once there I went back down to the old fire house and started working on the two bikes that Bill gave us. Kenny came down and said he would help by working on the other one. We were about halfway through, when the pager went off for a natural cover fire on White Oak Road. Me and Kenny ran over to the fire house and Troy came running down from the hall. I got to my stall and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet and then got in the officers seat of the Engine. LeeAnn then pulled in and we took off. Jason went to the scene and held the box to Company 216 and placed everyone else in service. We pulled one crosslay off and me and LeeAnn used them while Schoffstall, Kenny, and Lyle grabbed rakes and started going over some hot spots. We then rolled the hose and then we headed up to Eville to get fuel while Lonny headed into Halifax to get water and fuel in the Tanker. When we got back, they had the pressure washer out and were washing the hose. We then repacked a crosslay on the Engine and then I backed the Engine in. Me and Kenny then finished the bikes and then put everything away. I left there around 22:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

The Marathon Begins
I went to bed Tuesday night around 01:00 hours and was woke up around 06:57 hours when my brother sent me a text to listen to Wink 104 at 07:10 hours. So I got out of bed and turned the radio on and he had put my birthday in on Wink 104. I then got dressed and grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got there and parked and then went inside. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and put my suitcase by the couch. I then clocked in and did a rig check on 6-8. Jim them came in and then Tim came in. I then ate breakfast while I filled out my forms and then checked a few things online. I then went over date checks on some of the supplies in the ALS room. Steve then asked me and Tim to work on a power point for training tonight so he would not have to make copies of the handout. We splint the paperwork in half and each did a half. I got one slide done and then Jim came in and wanted to go one to a nursery outside of Millersburg to look for stones for his new pond. We got there and he got to see what he was looking for and then we headed back to the Subway in Eville. We got there and then Tim and Steve showed up. Just as I was getting out of the rig, the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Lykens Township. Jim said that it was thje Lykens Crews call, but we would head up anyways to give them a hand. Well we ended up being the first ambulance on the scene. I got a refusal on the one and we ended up taking the lady from the other vehicle up to Evan in Lewisburg. After we got what we needed there we headed on back. We stopped at KFC and I got some chicken strips to eat and Jim got something to eat and then we headed on back. Jim had me stop at Koppy's so he could get more food to eat and then we headed back to the station. Once there I restocked the unit and then finished the power point presentation. I then did my refusal and then it was time for the staff meeting. We ended up doing the training first as we had a State Trooper from the Lykens Barriacks there. It was supposed to last 15 minutes, but ended up lasting almost two hours. We then had the staff meeting afterwards and we ended up breaking that up around 21:00 hours as it was getting late and a lot of people had to be leaving to get on home. Then, myself, Wertz, Kathy, Tim and Steve S. shot the shit for awhile. Then Steve S. left and then Kathy and Wertz left and headed back up to Lykens. Tim then said about heading up to Wal-Mart. I put my stuff in 6-8 and then reminded Tim to grab his scope and clipboard and then got in 6-8. Once he got in I pulled out and then I saw out of the corner of my eye in the mirror a flash and sparks and the plug was pulled off of the end of the cord. I stopped the unit and we went back in and was looking at it when the tones went off for a fainting in Halifax Township. We got in 6-8 and off we went. We got down there and 13-2 was already there and Scott and Amanda were already in the house. I helped them get the lady loaded up and then they headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. I then ran up to Wal-Mart and got a plug tester and some electrical tape and then stopped at Koppy's to get something to drink. I then headed back to the station and went to work on getting the wires back on the plug. I got them back on and tested it and I had it wired correctly. I then picked up the silver back cover and noticed that it had to go on first. So I had to tear everything apart and then Scott sent me a text that they were leaving Harrisburg Hospital. So I got back in 6-8 and headed on down to Sheetz and then 13-2 got there a few minutes later. I then helped moved equipment over and then we headed on back to Eville. Once we got back, Tim went to work on the cord and in 1-1/2 hours he had it fixed. While he was doing that, I restocked his gear and swept the carpet and then did my second chart from the accident. It was now around 03:00 hours. Someone (I think Kathy) had left their PS2 their with Guitar Hero II in it. So I got on that and was playing that when Tim came out and said about watching the last episode of Season 3 of Emergency. I said ok and we watched it. I then showed him the disk that has the bloopers on it. I finally went to sleep around 05:10 hours. The tones then went off around 05:57 hours for seizures in Eville Borough. I got up and got my boots on and got everything back on my belt and then got in 6-8 and off we went. Kathy called me and said that it was her nephew. We got there and got the kid loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts so Tim could get a cup of coffee and I got two doughnuts to eat on the way home. Once back at the station I got my stuff together and and then filled out my time sheet and then clocked out and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into old street clothes and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then emptied the trash cans and then called the lady at Health American. I then got my tool kit and headed on up to the fire house to continue to work on getting scrap together for Saturday. Bubba was there when I got there and we talked for a little bit and I did my med bag checks on the rigs. I then went over and worked on the portable generator, window and door, and suction hose. I am going to work on the hardware for the old door tomorrow. I then closed up shop around 18:45 hours. Bill was there earlier but head to leave for an accident in Halifax Township. He then came back and then LeeAnn also showed up. I headed on home and once at home I just finished eating dinner. As I pulled into the driveway, Tab called me and said she had to cancel tonight do to a family emergency. I am now running up to help Troy move a fridge around and then am coming home to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Two Air Packs Gone
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and took the sheets off of my bed. I put my heavy blankets down stairs to be washed and put away until winter time. I then ate lunch and then started reading the paper. Andy from Dauphin then called me around 12:40 hours and said that he was on his way up from Dauphin. I told him I would meet him at the fire station. I then called Bill and told him that I was heading up to the fire house and asked him if he could go on for me. He said no problem. I then changed into street clothes and then grabbed my list and headed on up to the fire house. I got there and opened up the old fire house and went inside to stay cool. I also started running things through my mind about what I was going to move around and how I was going to rearrange the stuff once the scrap was gone. Andy then showed up and I gave him the packs and he gave me the $100.00. We then got talking for a little bit and then he got in his truck and left. I then closed the old fire house and went to get in my car and I heard Bubba say "I thought you were working today?" I told him that I was but Bill was covering for me for a little bit. I then went in the fire house and talked to him for a little bit. He got on the computer and went to the Lowe's website and was looking for water pumps, as the one on his well gave out this morning. We talked for a little bit and then took him over to the old fire house to show him the pipes and asked him about a few more things and then he left. I had sent Bill a text earlier and asked him if he wanted to swing by the fire house and drop off my gifts that he said he had, or if he wanted me to swing by his house and pick them up. He said that he would swing by the fire house and drop them off. We talked a little bit and then I headed on home. Once at home I finished reading the paper. I then opened Bill's gift. He got me two PS2 games and 2 braclets. The games he got me were Outlaw Tennis, and Smuggler's Run. I then wrote out my thank you cards to the people that gave me gifts. I then got on the PS2 to try out my new games. I like both of them and played them both for about an hour each. I then got off around 17:40 hours and ate dinner while I did a few things on the computer and watched MASH on TV. I just opened up my gift from my parents and my gift from April. They got me NASCAR 2008 and NCAA Football 2008. At 19:00 hours I will be going outside to help my mother with something. I then will be heading downstairs to help my mother with the old bike were are going to scrap. I am then going to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Busy Sunday
I went to bed Saturday night around 01:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out to do a rig check on 6-8. As I turned the rig on, I heard 6-5 go responding to Tower City for a call. So I knew that Stutzman and Jim were alraedy out. I did my rig check and then got on the computer and filled out my form and checked a few things while I ate breakfast. Then around 09:48 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Township. Tim got in the squad and me and Audrey got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and me and Tim took him down to Osteo amd Audrey took the squad back to the station. After we got what we needed at Osteo, we started on back. Tim had me stop at the Bread Company so he could get a cup of coffee and something to eat for breakfast. As we were getting ready to walk in, the tones went off for a diabetic problem in Washington Township. Stutzman and Jim took that call. We then headed on back. Once back at the station I helped Tim restock and then went in toi eat lunch when the tones went off for an allergic reaction, class 3 in Lykens Township. Me and Audrey got in 6-8 and took off. We got there and talked to the lady and got a refusal on her and then headed back to the station. Once there I ate lunch and logged my refusal. While I was doing that, around 13:10 hours, the tones went off for chest pains in Millersburg Borough. Tim got in the squad and took off for Millersburg. Me and Audrey then washed our cars and then washed 6-8. As we were getting ready to start washing 6-8, the tones went off for an unconscious person in Millersburg Borough. Stutzman and Jim stopped at the station and dropped off their food and then headed on down to Millersburg. As soon as we were finished washing 6-8, the tones went off for an accident with injuries involving a Motorcycle in Halifax Township. Meand Audrey got in 6-8 and off we went. We got down there and there ended up being 6 patients in total. We took 2 patients down to Hershey and 6-3 took 2 patients down to Hershey. Jim grabbed Tim Neiter from 29 to drive their unit since he had the 2 ALS patients. We got down there and after we got what we needed, we headed on back. Tim decided to head back with us since we left before the other crew. As we were coming down 322 and past the Linglestown exit, county fire dispatched an accident with injuries on 22/322 West Bound in the area of the Fishing Creek exit. We were coming up on the accident and I stayed in the right hand lane. I called county and they told me to stand by and 9-1 went responding and asked if county had a number of injuries. Before county could key up, I keyd up and advised county that 6-3 was on the scene of the accident and would advise of number of injuries. It ended up that the guy that wrecked, got out and gave his keys to a lady who had stopped to see if she could help and took off running towards Front Street. I went back and advised county that there were no patients. 9-1 and Rescue 37 got there and then we took off. As we were leaving, the tones went off for an overdose in Halifax Township. Tim went responding in the squad. We dropped Tim off at his house in Dauphin and then headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Audrey could get something to eat and then we headed on back. The overdose ended up being a refusal and Tim went available. Once back at the station I emptied the trash cans and got the trash together and ready to put in the dumpster. Stutzman and Jim then got there and then Tim got back. Tim and Audrey worked on their charts while Stutzman and Jim ate, then they left. Tim went back into the bunk room to get some sleep and then Audrey left at 20:00 hours. I then ran up to Jo-Jo's and got dinner and ran over to Koppy's to get something to drink and then headed on back. I then sat down and watched Backdraft. Tim got up around 21:00 hours and headed up to Jo-Jo's to get something to eat and then came back. After backdraft was over, we watched a episode of Emergency. Tim then went to bed around 00:30 hours and I watched a little TV and then went to sleep around 01:00 hours. The tones went off around 03:10 hours for a fall victim class 3 in Millersburg for either 13 or us. 20-2 then got on the air and said that they were responding. So I reset the pager and went back to sleep. Then around 07:27 hours the tones went off for Dalmatia for a bull shit call. I went back to sleep and got up at 07:51 hours. I got the stuff back on my belt and put my suitcase away and then took my suitcase and fanny pack out to my car. Kathy an John then came in. I clocked out and gave me report to them and then left and headed on home. Once at home I got my uniform ready and then got dressed and then headed up to the fire house. I got there and Schoffstall and Lonny were there. Bubba then came up and said that Jaz was going with him in the Tanker and he pulled it out and hosed it off. Lonny already had the Engine out and I put my gear in it and then we took off and headed into the Borough Park. We got there and then went through the parade. After it was over we ran up to Shell so Lonny could put fuel in the Engine and Jaz and Bubba could get something to drink and then we headed back to the station. Once there we put the trucks away and talked a little bit and then we all left. I headed home and once at home I changed out of my uniform and into street clothes and then read the paper. Lowes had already delivered the new water heater and my father and mother pulled out to head to Wal-Mart as I turned onto our street. After I read the paper I ate lunch while I got on the computer to check a few things. I then called Tim Meyrs from Dunncanon around 13:00 hours and he said he would be over. He took all the lights except the light bar, the older straier, both sections of booster hose, and the 4 flat bottom spare cylinders for $120.00 bucks, a very good deal in my opinion. I then went to work on the old portable pump that we are scraping. Bill then stopped by and helped me with a few things. Once I was done with the pump, I started going through the wood. I got rid of all the wood that was warpead and busted. I then started stacking the wood beside the old fire house. Troy then whistled for me to come down to the house and grab sonmething to eat. I went down and Robin and Bubba, and Jess had made stuff for a traditonal cook out. I had 4 hot dogs and a soda and shot the shit a little. I then left and headed back up to the old fire house to go back to work. I got the Little Giant ladder from the fire house and set it up in the old fire house to mount some wood on the wall to make a third brace like the ones that held the wood, to move those plastic pipes up. As I was getting ready to get on the ladder, the pager went off for a brush fire on Rettinger Road. I ran over to the fire house and to my stall. Troy then came running in, followed by Robby and then Bubba, as I heard him start the Tanker up. I kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helemt. LeeAnn and Lonny were already in the Engine and Troy and Robby were heading there. I got in the Utility and started it up. The Engine took off and then Bubba with the Tanker and then I followed him. We got there and the fire was already out. We grabbed a water can off of the Tanker and we wet down the spot. I then found out that the rear spare cylinder compartment on the Engine came open when they went around the last turn and the cylinder went flying. We stopped back at the spot to look for it. Troy found the latch and Lonny found the cylinder. We then headed on back. Once back I filled the water can and recharged it and put it back on the Tanker. I then went back over to the old fire house and got my bracket made up and got the pipes up there. I was only able to get 3 pipes up there, but at least it made some more room in the old fire house. I then put the good wood back on and then put everything away. I then headed on down to Bubba's house, but he was already inside. I sat outside under the canopy that they had just put up and talked to Jess, Troy and Lonny. We all left around 21:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Accident and Birthday Celebration
I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and got up Friday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera, and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house at 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and parked and then got my stuff and went inside. I put my lunch box and bottles of Gatorade in the fridge. I then clocked in and then did my rig check on 6-7. Tommy popped in and started talking with us. Wertz then got up and we got talking. Wendy told me that there were supplies for me up front and I took them out to the ALS room and put them away. I then started going through the ALS room doing inventory of the expiration dates on the medications. Midway through, Steve S. came out and asked if I was hungry for breakfast and I said I would go. So we got in 6-7 and headed on up to Special Place for breakfast. We got there and the Lykens crew of Tim and Stutzman had just gotten there. I had a side order of bacon and two pieces of white toast. We then headed back to the station. I finished going through the supplies while Steve S. washed 6-7. I then got on the computer and upated my list and then started playing games as I was bored. The tones then went off for an unconscious person in Millersburg Borough. Wertz went responding in the squad. 20-2 was already out on a call, so 13-1 ended up taking the call. While they were still on the scene, the tones went off again for breathing problems at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. 6-5 ended up handling that call as 13 didn't have a second crew. Steve S. then left at 16:00 hours and it was just me at the station. Wertz then went available and once back at the station I helped him restock and then I went into the day room and sat down on the couch and watched TV and talked to Wertz. Then around 19:00 hours I ran up to Jo-Jo's and got something to eat for dinner. I also got some chips from Koppy's and a half gallon Guers Orange Drink from Shell and then went back to the station. I got a Ham and Cheese Sub and 4 slices of cheese pizza from Koppy's. Once back at the station I started to eat my sub. Then around 19:50 hours, my fire pager went off for an accident with injuries in Jackson Township, on Armstrong Valley Road. 13 was originally only dispatched. About 30 seconds after the fire pager went off, our tones went off for the accident. I put my sub and drink in the fridge and then we got in 6-7 and took off. We were dispatched because the one lady was complaining of having Asthma and was having problems breathing. We got there and Jason and Matt were already there. I parked and got out and went to Jason and asked him what he had. He told me and Wertz went down to the lady with the Asthma and I went to the other lady to check on her. While we were there, the tones went off for a sick person in Lykens Borough. We ended up taking the one lady and 13 took the other. We got our lady loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. While on the way down, the tones went off for chest pains in Wayne Township. 20-2 was dispatched as the BLS since both of our trucks were out. We all thought that Kuntz was there and taking the call. After we got what we needed at Harrisburg we got in 6-7 to head back to Eville. When I started the truck up I heard MICU 1-2 call 20-2 and ask them where to meet. I told Wertz what I heard and he tried calling the Eville station and no one answered. So he then called Steve and told Steve what happened and for him to try and track Kuntz down. Steve then called back and told Wertz that Kuntz had called Wendy earlier in the day and told her that he would be in late that night as he was coming in from Florida. Wendy forgot to pass this important information on to us, so we were a little pissed. We got back and I helped Wertz restock. Tim and Stutzman then showed up to restock and then we got talking in the day room while I finished eating my sub. I then watched TV and ended up falling asleep on the couch. When I woke up it was 01:30 hours and Kuntz was sitting on the one couch flipping through the channels on the TV. He went to bed and then I went to sleep around 02:00 hours. I woke up at 07:51 hours just as Jim was walking in the door. I got up and got the stuff back in my belt and put my pillow case away and then took my suitcase and fanny pack out to my car. I then came back in and took my 4 slices of pizza out to my car. I then came back in and got my check and June Schedule out of my mail bin. John then showed up and I clocked out and then filled out my time sheet and then told him about the truck. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get a little more sleep. My mother woke me up at 09:37 hours and told me that we were going to be leaving soon to head to Hoss's in Hummelstown. I got up and changed into street clothes. We then got in my mother's van and we headed on down to Hoss's. We met my brother and grandparents there and ate lunch. We then stopped at Sam's Club and picked up my cake and get gas in the van and then we headed back to my grandparents house. Once there I sat down in their living room and read today's paper. We then talked some and then myself, my mother, brother and grandmother went out into the kitchen and played rummy. We then ate cake and then left there around 17:00 hours and headed on home. We swung by the fire house on the way home so we could see Bubba's car. He hit a deer coming home Friday morning and did at least $5,000.00 worth of damage done to the front of his car. We then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating those 4 slices of pizza from last night. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk, just give me a buzz.

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. We then got in my mother's van around 17:30 hours and headed on down to Regal Cinema in Harrisburg to meet up with my brother. Once there we met up with him and then went inside and got situated in the movie theater. We were going to see Indian Jones in the Kingdon of the Crystal Skull. I want to tell you what, that is a great movie and I would recomend that you go see it, especailly if you are a Indiana Jones fan. The movie was over bty 21:20 hours and we left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Fun with the Eville Guys
I went to bed Monday night around 02:30 hours and woke up Tuesday morning around 11:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played some GTA Vice City Stories. I then got off and headed up to the fire house around 14:30 hours. Once up there I went to work in the back of the old fire house. I moved the match light to on top of of the second skid of charcoal. After I moved some more things around, I moved the yellow booster reel out and then started putting stuff back in the corner. Bill had showed up and was watching me. I had him help me move some long pieces of PCV pipe so I could get the red booster reel out. I then got everything out away and then cleaned up both booster reels and then got pictures of them. I then went to work tearing apart two amplifiers. I then left up there around 19:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a quick shower. I then changed into my uniform and then grabbed my suit case and took it out into the kitchen. I then grabbed my Gatorade bottle and left around 19:36 hours and headed on up to Eville to go to work. When I left I called Jo-Jo's and ordered a large cheese pizza. I stopped and ran into Koppy's and got a half gallon of Guers Orange Drink and then picked up my pizza. I then headed to work. I got there and clocked in at 19:58 hours. I then checked on supplies and put an order in. I then did a rig check on 6-7. Tim was playing GTA IV on his xbox while I ate dinner. He then had 3 slices while we watched an episode of Emergency. He then went back to GTA IV while I did a few things. Then around 24:00 hours the tones went off for an accident with entrapment in Washington Township. It was a Lykens crew call, but I told Tim that we should head up anyway to assist. So we got in 6-7 and off we went. We got there and the car was laying on it's roof and the witnesses said the guy crawled out and took off. The one guy found him sitting in his front yard. We helped the crew from 6-5 get the guy on a backboard and loaded into the back of the ambulance and then they left and headed to Geisinger. As they were leaving the wires from the pole that the guy sheared off arched and the light show lasted for a little bit before it blew the transformer. Me and Tim stayed on the scene until the car was gone and PP&L showed up. We then headed on back. I stopped at Koppy's and Tim got a cup of coffee and something to munch on and then we headed back to the station. Once there we restocked the backboard and extrication supplies that we used and then Tim got back on the xbox. Then around 02:05 hours the tones went off again for a structure fire in Elizabethville Borough. Me and Tim got back in 6-7 and off we went. We went on the scene first with nothing showing on side A. Buubba then called me as I was getting out of the truck and he asked me what Eville had and I told him I was there and would call him back then. Fred then pulled in with the Tanker. The owner was talking to Tim and took him around back and inside to show him that it was a furnace malfunction. Tom then came over and said hi to me and told me to go start knocking on doors. I asked the one resident if everyone was out and he said that no one answered from Apartments 2 and 4. So I went up to the second floor and got the residents of apartments 2 and 4 up and had them evecuate from the structure. I then took a peak inside apartment 3 and there was a light smoke condition in there. I went back outside and told Tom of this and he sent a crew in to check it out. There neded up being no fire and we went available around 03:00 hours. Tim had me stop at Koppy's again so he could get another cup of coffee and then we headed on back. I then did a tripsheet for the fire call and Tim put his xbox away and then we got talking. I finally went to sleep around 04:00 hours. I woke up around 07:05 hours when the tones went off for a BLS call in Williamstown Borough. Stutzman and Enders were there and clocked in early and took the call. They ended up being canceled. I then got up and put my pillow away and got the stuff back on my belt and put my suitcase in my car. When 6-7 got back I grabbed my scope and then clcoked out at 08:05 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my dress uniform and headed up to the fire house around 09:20 hours. Bubba got there around 10:00 hours and we got in the Tanker and headed on down to Fetterhoff's Church. We got there and went into the viewing and then stayed for the service. We got out of there around 12:15 hours and headed back to the station. Once there Bubba left to headed on down to Maryland and I headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes and then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played some GTA Vice City Stories. I got off and ate dinner and then headed up to the fire hall for bingo. Bingo went goof and afterwards, myself, Bubba, Katina and Troy headed down to the fire house and shot the shit for a little bit. I then showed Bubba the old fire house and we talked about a few things and then he headed on home. I then left a few minutes later and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

The meeting was kind of long but a lot of things were discussed. Afterward we brought the hot box up from down in the old fire house beacue Katina wants to use it this Wednesday nigth at bingo. Me and Kenny then took an old TV out of the old fire house out to the trash. I am going up tomorrow to move some stuff around so we have some more room to move around in the old fire house. Fire at Reed's Inn
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 13:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer and posted all the items we are selling from the fire house on central pa fire. I also looked ot see if there was any more information on the fire at Reed's Inn last night or not. Chief 27 had posted some info that basically the bar area is gutted and there is heavy heat and smoke damage to the rest of the structure. That is a shame as it was a nice place to eat and have a beer or two. I then ate dinner and then headed up to the fire hall for con-ed training tonight. Bill was already there and then Nancy showed up and then my father. Class was good tonight and short. The 4 of us then talked some afterwards and then the three of them left and I headed down to the fire house to make a list of the spray paint we would need for parade season this year. LeeAnn and Katina then came back from Wal-Mart and we got talking. Then Kenny came over and we talked some more. We left there around 21:40 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Shade Mountain and Fire Expo
I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and got up Friday morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and then headed on up to the fire house around 13:00 hours. Once there I went to work again in the old fire house. I grabbed the things that I asked Bubba about the day before and started taking them apart to check for any copper. Jason then stopped and we talked for awhile. Bill then showed up and I went up into the second floor to lower down the rest of the stuff from up there. Bubba and them then got back from Expo and he was there while I lowered everything down. After I was done up there, I came back down and went through the trophies and got any scrap off of the broken ones and the ones without any name plates on them. I then left the fire house around 19:00 hours and headed home to get cleaned up. Once at home I took a shower and then got changed and then headed up to the fire house around 19:35 hours. I tooka copy of my Firefighter 1 cert. up for Bubba to put in my folder. We then loaded up into the van. Besides myself and Bubba, Robin, Martha, Lonny, Katina, Troy, LeeAnn and Roller Dave went over. We picked up Roller at Shell and I got something to munch on and a Gatorade for on the way home. We got over there and we headed on in. I forget how many Coors Lights I had, but by the time we left around 01:30 hours, I was not even buzzed yet. I sang 5 or 6 times throughout the night. We then left around 01:30 hours and headed on home. We stopped at Shell and got gas and dropped Roller off and then headed back to the station. Once there I got in my car and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went to bed. I woke up this morning around 07:00 hours when my father got me up. I got out of bed and chnaged into street clothes. I then ate breakfast and read some of the paper. Me and my father then got in his truck an left and headed on down to the farm show for Fire Expo. We got down there around 08:30 hours and got in line around 08:50 hours. Expo was good this year, but again I think it is getting smaller each year and I think it is due to the high prices that the Farm Show charge for the spots. I got what I wanted and then we headed on home around 14:30 hours. Once at home I went through my stuff and got it in order and showed my mother whatI got. I then changed into old street clothes and heade up to the fire house. LeeAnn was there and we talked for about an hour on various topics. I then went over to the old fire house and went through the white cabinet and cleaned the drawers out so we can scrap it come scrap day. I then left there around 18:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Quiet 24 Hours
I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suit case and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and parked and went inside and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out and did a rig check on 6-3. Brian then came out and told me my oxygen levels. Jim then showed up. I went in and ate breakfast and then got on the computer to fill out my form. Jim then wanted to go to Special Place for breakfast so we left and headed on down there. Once there we sat down with Kathy, Flipper and O'Neal and ate breakfast. I had two pieces of white toast and a side order of bacon with water. We then left and I headed 0ver to Shell and got fuel and then we headed back up to Lykens. Once at Lykens I decided to wash 6-3. I took my time and it took me about 1-1/2 hours to wash the truck. That was just more time that I was away from Jim and I loved it. I then went in and around 12:00 hours the tones went off for a fall victim in Wiconisco Township. 6-3 went responding and Jim said about heading over to the scene to stablize until they got there. So we got in 6-3 and headed on over. Kathy and O'Neal then showed up and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. Jim then had me stop at Don's so he could get lunch and then we headed back to the station. Once back I ate lunch while I checked a few things online. I then sat down and watched TV. Then around 19:45 hours the tones went off for heart problems in Lykens Borough. It was one of our frequent flyers in Lykens that we seem to get whenever me and Tim are on. We just took this guy down Friday evening. Jim called Tim and told him to meet us at the scene and then me and Jim headed on down. We got the guy loaded up and Jim walked back to the station and me and Tim headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. Harrisburg was jam packed when we got there. I had to park in one of the slots facing the brick wall. We then waited for close to 30 minutes to get a bed. Most of the ER staff was working on a 7 year old child that drowned in Hall Manor that Life Team had brought in. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz and I got something to eat for dinner as did Tim. We then headed on back to Eville. Once there I checked supplies and filled out a time card and then Kathy asked me to run her up to Koppy's. We got up there and she got something to drink and eat and then we headed back to the station. As we pulled in she said that she forgot to get some smokes while she was up there. So we headed back up and she got a pack of smokes and then we headed on back. Then me and Tim left and headed back up to Lykens. Tim then stopped at Koppy's to get a cup of coffee and then we headed on up. Once back we watched one episode of Season 3 of Emergency. Tim then went home and I went to sleep around 01:30 hours. I got up this morning at 07:58 hours. Last night I decided to try sleeping on the materess and it actually was not that bad and I slept pretty good. I actually think it was better then when I slept on the couch. I got up and got my stuff on my belt and got my boots on. I then put my pillow away. Bowser was already there and then Zach came in. I gave my report to Zach and then clocked out and left. I then stopped at the Eville station and filled out the rest of my time card and then headed on home, Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house. I went into the old fire house and cleaned up some more stiff to sell and got info on it and got pictures. Bubba then came up and I asked him about some stuff and then he went to work on mounting some stuff on the Tanker. Bill also showed up and helped me a little bit. I then left around 16:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed clothes and then left to head on down to County for training tonight. I stopped at Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription and then headed on down to County. Training was ok, a little boring. After it was over I headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at the fire house. Bubba, Troy and LeeAnn were there. My father also stopped and was talking to Bubba. We all left around 22:10 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

More Scrap
I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 07:15 hours for a fall victim in Halifax Township. I got up and got dressed and then got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there almost the same time as Carol. I got in 13-1 and off we went with me driving. It was one of our frequent flyers that we have not heard from for over a year. We helped her up and got a refusal on her and went back to the shed. Once back I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I started to eat breakfast and read the paper. The fire pager then went off at 09:05 hours, followed by the ems pager for an accident with injuries in Jackson Township. It was right in front of Bubba's house. I got my boots back on and got in my car and headed to the scene. I parked in the church parking lot and went to the van to check on the lady in the passenger's seat. That was a refusal also. I then headed into the shed and logged my time and did the paperwork from the call. I then headed on home and once at home I finished eating breakfast and reading the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 11:45 hours to start working on the Utility. I cleaned the outside compartments and then headed on home around 13:45 hours. Once at home and when I went off duty at 14:00 hours, I changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and started pulling stuff out of the old firehouse. Bill showed up and we got talking while I moved stuff around and pulled scrap out. Bubba then came up and we went over some stuff and I got some more decent scrap and some more things to get cleaned up and get pictures of. I then finished up and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then left around 18:55 hours and headed up to Millersburg to attend their meeting. They decided not to do the 2010 County Convention. I then left and headed back to the fire house. Once there I helped them move the new freezer into the kitchen and then helped Bubba move stuff around to make room for the copier in the station. I left there around 23:40 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Stupid F$*#@ Insurance
I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house at 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside. Tim had just gotten there also. I went in and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and put my suitcase by the couch. John then came in from the bathroom and told me that Kuntz and him took a call in Eville. Stutzman took the call with Kuntz since Stutzman was on the daylight shift. John then said that Kuntz had to come back up and get his stuff since he was doing a 24 hour shift down in Eville. John then clocked out and left and I dfid my rig check on 6-8. I then ate breakfast while I filled out my form and checked a few things online. Then around 09:00 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. Kuntz went responding in the squad. I then heard 13 get hit for back pains class 3 in Halifax Township. Then they hit 13's tones again for the call in Upper Paxton Township, in place of Company 20. Well what ended up happening is 6-3 took the call in Upper Paxton and sent 13-1 back to take the back pain call. Then around 11:00 hours the tones went off for heart problems in Halifax Township. 13-1 responded from Dauphin and we got in 6-5 and went responding. We had just passed the upper end of Rutter Road when 13-1 placed us in service. We then turned around and headed back up to Lykens. We stopped at Wal-Mart so Tim could do some shopping and then we ran into Subway to get lunch. I got a pizza, chips and a soda and then we headed back up to Lykens. We got back and sat down to eat lunch and watch TV. I had just finished eating my first slice of pizza when the tones went off to assist Tower City on the scene of an accident in Tower City Borough. We got in 6-5 and off we went. We got there and a motorcycle had hit the side of a car. The guy was not hurt that bad, just some roadrash, but Tim still went along due to it being a motorcycle. I then headed back to the station. As I was heading back, the tones went off for a all in Northumberland County for ALS to assist Dalmatia. That call ended up being cancelled. I got back to the station and finished eating my lunch and watched TV. Tower City then dropped Tim off and then he laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I laid down on the other couch to watch some TV and I know I fell asleep at one point. Then around 16:2 hours the tones went off for a cardiac arrest, class 3 in Lykens Township. 6-3 ended up taking that call since it was a class 3 which usually means that the person is a Signal 12, or D.O.A. We then decided to get dinner. I got 3 slices of pizza and 5 chicken tenders from Ciao's and Tim got chineese food. We then went and picked up our food and then I stopped at Tower Sales and grabbed something to drink and then we headed back to the station. We ate dinner and watched two episodes od Season 3 of Emergency. Tim then sat down to finished up his paperwork and then tones went off around 22:30 hours for breathing problems in Williams Township. We got in 6-5 and headed on up. Tim got on and they went to Hershey. I then headed back to the station and watched TV until Tim called around 00:30 hours and said that they were on their way back. I got in 6-5 and headed up to 24's station. I got there and 15 minutes later 24-2 got back. I helped move Tim's stuff over and then we headed back to Lykens. Once back I helped him restock his gear and then went in and got ready to go to sleep. I went to bed around 01:30 hours and woke up at 07:30 hours when Tim came in. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on. I then put my pillow away and folded my blanket up and put it back on the top bunk. John then came in and I gave him my report, then I clocked out and left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 13:45 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. I then got on the computer to show my mother a few things. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suit case and camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and grabbed my Gatorade bottles and put everything in my car. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside and put my lunch and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then clocked in. I then did a rig check on 6-8 and as I was doing that, the tones went off for a call in Northumberland County. Jim took that call and ended up being cancelled. Steve then called and said about going to Special Place for breakfast. Me and Tim left and headed on down and we were the first ones there. We went inside and ordered awhile. The tones then went off for a call in Millersburg. Jim and Steve took that call in the squad. Stutzman and O'Neal then showed up and we ate breakfast. As we finished eating, Jim called Tim and told him that there was an ALS call in Jackson Township, Northumberland County. We got on the scene and Dalmatia was there and had the lady already loaded up. They ended up going down to Harrisburg Hospital. I headed back and stopped at Wal-Mart and got a new watch. I then ran down to the Eville station and picked up supplies to take back up to the Lykens Station. I then headed on down to Sheetz to pick up Tim. I got lunch at Sheetz and ate it while waiting for them to get back. They got back and then we headed back up through. We stopped at Eville so Tim could pick up his boots and then we headed back up to Lykens. We got back and I helped him restock his gear and then put the supplies away. The tones then went off for another call in Millersburg for breathing problems. Jim took that call. Kathy then showed up at 15:00 hours to go on for me due to me having a DCVFA meeting that night. We then sat down to watch an episode of Season 3 of Emergency. Around 15:45 hours the tones went off for an accident with injuries involving a horse and buggy. They left on that and 6-3 also went responding. It ended up being a buggy that had broke down along the side of the road and everyone was cancelled. 24 then got dispatched class 3 for diabetic problems in Williamstown Borough. The person wanted EMS to check their mother's blood sugar. 24 then told county to dispatch ALS and 6-5 headed up there. That ended up being a refusal. Then about 5 minutes after they went available, the tones went off for chest pains in Williamstown Borough. 6-5 went on that and then 24 and Tim headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. While all of this was going on, I was sitting on the couch in Lykens watching TV. Then around 17:20 hours the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Wiconisco Township. 6-3 and Jim went responding on that and that also ended up being refusals. Kathy then came back while she waited for Tim to get back. My father then picked me up around 18:30 hours and we headed on up to Williamstown for the meeting tonight. The meeting went good and quite a few things were discussed. After the meeting was over we left and my father dropped me off at Lykens and then left. I went in and clocked back in and Kathy clocked out and then left. Me and Tim then sat down and finished watching the episode of Emergency that we were watching earlier and then watched another episode. Tim then left and headed on home around 23:45 hours and I got ready for bed. I then laid on the couch and watched TV and I know I feel asleep at one point. I remember waking up around 01:00 hours and turned the TV off and then went back to sleep. The tones then went off around 01:30 hours for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. I got up and got the sutff on my belt and got my boots on and then got in 6-5 and went responding. I picked Tim up at his place and then we went to the scene. We got this guy loaded and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front street so Tim could get coffee and then we continued on back. While we were at Harrisburg, the tones went off for a fall victim in Gratz Borough. 6-3 handeled that and it was a public assist. We got back and I dropped Tim off at his house and then headed back to the station. I restocked his gear and then got ready to go back to sleep when the tones went off again for a CVA in Lykens Borough. I got everything back on my belt and got my boots back on and got back in 6-5 and went responding. I picked Tim up again and we went to the scene. We ended up calling for fire for a medical assist to get the lady out of the house. After we got her loaded, we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Again I stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front Street so Tim could get another cup of coffee and then we continued on back. We got back around 07:45 hours and I helped Tim restock his gear. Jim was already there when we got back. John then showed up and I gave him my report, clocked out and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and then went to bed to get some sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then ate lunch. I then headed up to the fire house. Katina was there and Troy and LeeAnn were out filling a pool. Me and Katina talked a little bit and then I went over to the old fire house and pulled out all the lights in the one cabinet and cleaned them up and took pictures of them so we can sell them. I then went up into the second floor and brought down all of the scrap from the second floor. I then came down and put that stuff away and then we sat around and shot the shit. Troy then got the mower out and started mowing the lawn. He then asked me if I could run home and bring the weed wacker up and I said not a problem. I ran home and my father put the blades on it and then I ran it back up. We had to do a few things on it and then LeeAnn started to use it. She then stopped and Schoffstall made some adjustments to it, but she got busy doing other things. I then decided to finish. I then left and headed on home and called Bubba about the lights. He then also said about putting the air packs on. So I turned around and got the ladder back out and went back up into the second floor and got some pictures and information on the packs and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and just finished eating dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Fund Raisers
I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played GTA Vice City Stories. I then got off at 16:30 hours and made dinner and then ate while I did a few things online and watched some TV. I also called the guy from Univex back regarding the disc for the potato peeler. The disc that they have now won't work on the peeler that we have. The shaft design is different. I then left the house a little after 17:00 hours and headed up to the hall for the fund raiser meeting tonight. Bill, Schoffstall and Gruver were already there. LeeAnn then showed up next. My father was there next as he was working on the hot box down in the old fire house. Bubba then came up next and then Troy showed up and then Holly and then Jess came up. Dave came later as he was doing stuff on the farm. We talked about a lot of good fund raisers. We planned 8 more fund raisers. We are going to sell subs, we added a Ham Slice Dinner in August, along with Fisherville Fun Day, a combination craft fair and car show. We added another chicken bbq in September and an LTD Item Bingo also. We then scheduled another soup, apple butter and apple cider sale in October, along with another Boyd's Bear Bingo. We are also looking to raffel off a 4-wheeler. After the meeting we all went down to the fire house and shot the shit. I left there around 22:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now hitting the old email and surfing the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Very Early Call
I left the house last night around 19:15 hours and headed on up to Lykens to go to work. I called Ciao's ahead of time and ordered 3 slices of cheese pizza for later on in the night. I never did get to see those 3 slices of pizza. As I started going through Eville, Zach called me cell phone and asked me where I was. I told him that I was just coming through Eville. He asked me if I wanted to come to the scene of the call in Lykens. I said sure that I would meet them there. I decided to quick stop at the station and drop off my stuff, clock in and grab a pager and then headed to the scene. I got there and Zach was walked out of the house. I got out and then the fire siren started going off as he had called for lifting assistance. Tim then showed up on Truck 22 and him and Beef switched. I gave my spare key to Zach and he took my car and Beef back to the Lykens Station. Me and Tim then headed on up to Pottsville Good Sam. After we got what we needed and cleaned the back of the truck up, we headed on back. I stopped at KFC and got 6 chicken strips and a large popcorn chicken and a soda. We then stopped at Sheetz so Tim could get some smokes and I got another soda as the one I got from KFC I was done with already. We then headed on back. Once back at the station I helped Tim restock and then I made up two towel rolls and then I decided to check my blood sugar as I was courious. I checked it and it was 69. I was a little puzzled as to why it was so slow and Tim said it usually takes up to 2 hours for the food to digest. So Tim set up his Xbox and we played Rainbow Six, Las Vegas until 00:30 hours and then Tim left to go home, as he runs out of his house during the night while we are in Lykens. I then watched TV until 02:00 hours and then went to sleep on the couch. I woke up at 07:30 hours when Stutzman and Tim came back in. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and put my pillow back in my suitcase. I then brought my scope in and then Tindell showed up. The four of us shot the shit for almost an hour. I then left around 08:40 hours and headed on down to Eville to check on supplies. I checked on supplies and then talked to Steve for a little bit and then left there around 10:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into street clothes. Since I had been up so long already, I decided to just stay up. I read the paper and then ate lunch. My mother then left to run into Giant to pick up some stuff. I then got on the PS2 to play GTA Vice City Stories. I got off of there around 16:24 hours and made and ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched MASH on TV. I then left the house around 17:30 hours and headed up to the fire hall for bingo tonight. I parked and went inside. Bingo went good tonight. It was a little hot in the hall and I had to use the fan when I called the second half. After bingo was over, me and Schoffstall went down to the station. I did my weekly medical supply checks on the trucks. Me and Schoffstall then talked about where to put Indian Rakes on the Engine. I said about mounting the heads on the inside of the back compartment door on the driver's side and then putting the handles in the hose bed. We both left there around 22:30 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

The Frequent Flyer Again
I went to bed last night at 03:00 hours and woke up this morning around 10:00 hours when I could no longer sleep. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to show my mother a few things. Then around 11:05 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Halifax Township. I got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". As I was on my way in, Alf called me and asked me where I was. I told him Enders Road and then I asked him if they were back yet and he said yeah. I got in there and Kim had 13-2 pulled out and was sitting in it. I parked and then got in 13-2 and off we went. We got there and Beek called me and asked if we wanted help with lifting since himself, John and Bruce were coming back through Halifax in 6-3. I said sure, go ahead and swing by in case we do need the help. Well she was sitting in a wheel chair in the kitchen and we took her out in that, so we did not need that much help with lifting. Wertz then got there and I drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the shed. Bruce drove the squad back to our station and we helped Wertz move his gear back over to the squad. I then went in and logged my time and changed the battery on the stretcher in 13-2. I then grabbed my check and then left. I ran up to Susquehanna Banks and cashed my check and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch while I got on the PS2 to play some GTA Vice City Stories. I got off at 17:10 hours and then made and just finished eating dinner. I have to work tonight at Lykens for 12 hours and then will be home tomorrow morning.

2 Hour Meeting
I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. Then around 13:05 hours the pager went off for a fall victim at Shell in Halifax Township. I got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Sue was already there and sitting in 13-2. I parked and got in and off we went. We got there and Bruce was alrady there. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Osteo. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the station Bill was there also. I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call. We then talked for a little bit and then we all left. I headed up to Sheetz and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I called the guy at Univex again and talked to him again about the potato peeler disc. I then ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched MASH on TV. I then left the house at 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house to the meeting tonight. The meeting was long, lasting 2 hours and then we had a short firemen's relief meeting afterwards. Then myself, Bubba, Schoffstall, LeeAnn and Troy headed on down to the fire house. We sat down there and shot the shit some more. We all left around 22:30 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on for a little bit longer so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Chicken BBQ
I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:45 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then grabbed something to eat for breakfast and then left around 06:55 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and ate breakfast real quick. I then went over into the old fire house and took the cover off of the chicken trailer and put charcoal in all 4 pits and got the lighter fluid and empty bags ready. I then went up to the hall and LeeAnn was already in the kitchen starting the juice. Schoffstall then came in and then Kenny and Bill came in. Myself, Kenny, Katina and Schoffstall then went down to the old fire house and moved the pit out and under the canopy. While we were doing that Troy and Dave showed up and then we got the pit going and the chicken on. We had the first rack off before 10:00 hours. We had all of the racks off by 11:10 hours and then I ran my father's chicken half home to him. While we were cooking the chicken, Lonny showed up also to help. I then came back and then ate my half. We then started cleaning stuff up. Bubba then had me back the Engine in so he could work on the bay door motor. That still is not working so we still have to open the door manually. I then shot the shit with Troy, Bubba, Kenny, Katina and LeeAnn at the hall. We also took pictures of the hall, station and old station for the USDA. I left there around 19:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Cherry Blossom Festival
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then grabbed something to eat for breakfast and then grabbed one of the small coolers from downstairs. I then left my house around 07:15 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and parked. I then went inside the fire house and got the number board and put that in Troy's trailer. I then went over into the old fire house and got the back boards out and put then in Troy's trailer also. I then opened up the front. I then ran up to the hall to go to the bathroom real quick and also grab another money pouch. While I was up there Troy showed up and Kenny came down. While Troy worked on getting the Utility out, I had Kenny help me move the parts of the stage so we could get to the stand. Me and Kenny then carried the parts of the stand up and put them on the trailer and Troy tied them down. Kenny then closed up the old fire house and I went in the fire house and grabbed the sign, wheel, staple gun, box of screws. and the candy in the cooler and put them in my car. We then left. I saw LeeAnn coming down 225 as we started to pull out. SHe turned around in the church parking lot and then got in line behind the Utility. We went the back way with the Utility up to Millersburg. We got up there and got the stand set up and then I parked my car by the Wooden Nickle. Troy and Kenny then hung around. Jess then showed up and she got in the stand with me after she got something to eat for breakfast. She got a sticky bun from Mr. Sticky and ended up sharing it with me. She started by feeding me a few bites and then after she could not eat any more of it, gave it to me. I think overall it went ok. I did 1-1/2 hours with Jess and then I put LeeAnn in with her for the other 1-1/2 hours. Michelle then came in at noon and worked until 15:00 hours. We then broke down and headed back to the station. Once back there Cody also helped us get the stand back in the old fire house. I then counted the money while Troy ran his trailer back home. We the sat around and shot the shit and then put the canopy up for the chicken bbq tomorrow. I then left around 18:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
Two for the Price of One
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:00 hours for a fainting in Upper Paxton Township at Lenkerville Elementary School. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and no one was there yet. As I pulled in Scott called me and said that Carol was on her way in. I parked and went inside and pulled 13-2 out and waited for Carol to show up. Once she got there I put us responding and off we went. We got there and Tony was already there and talking to the guy who was sitting on the steps outside of the school. I backed the unit in and when I got out he said all I would need was the clipboard as the guy was probally going to sign off. While we were there one of the teachers came up and said that there was a young girl in the nurses office that was not feeling well and wondered if we could take a quick look at her. We took a look at her and got a refusal from the mother and then we left and headed back to the station. Once there I logged my time in and then ran up to Susquehanna Bank and cashed my check from Medic 6. I then stopped at Giant and picked up a gallon of milk, some sandwich bags and some cheese for myself. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then made a few phone calls and printed out the candy wheel signs for today. I then got on the PS2 to start GTA Vice City Stories again. Then around 15:12 hours the pager went off for a sick person in Millerburg Borough at Polk Apartments. I got my boots on and got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there just as Carol was getting out of her van and I popped the door open for 13-2. She got in the passenger's seat and I got in the driver's seat and off we went. We got up there and got the lady loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed we headed on back. Once back at the shed I logged my time in and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I then went up to the fire house and did my med checks on the bags and first aid kits on the trucks. I then pulled the candy wheel board out and cleaned the bugs off of it. I then went through the candy and got things squared away with that. I then pulled out the sign and the wheel and staple gun and sat them out for later this morning. Troy and LeeAnn were there and Kenny came down later. I left there around 22:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

New Ambulance 6-4
I went to bed Tuesday night around 01:00 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then grabbed my camera and my suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and then got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. When I got there I saw that 6-3 was not in the bay. I parked and took my stuff inside and put my suitcase beside the couch and put my lunchbox and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and took a look at the ALS and BLS supplies. Tim then came in and then O'Neal came in. I then ate breakfast while I checked a few things online. Steve then came in and said about the new unit coming today. Steve asked me to print out the paper that had a list of all the supplies we needed on the truck to get in licensed. I did that and then me and O'Neal went over the extrication bags. Brain and Tindell then got back and I did a quick rig check on 6-3 and then filled out the paperwork. Jim and the new guy then showed up. Me and O'Neal then left and ran up to McDonald's to get breakfast. While we were heading up there, the tones went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township. Tim took that call and they ended up going down to the hospital. After we got breakfast we headed back to the station to wait for the new unit to get there. When I got back I went out back and took a few pictures of 6-5 as Spittler was going to be taking it back with them. The new unit then showed up around 10:45 hours. It is a nice looking unit. It is a 2008 Ford F-450 chassis with a Horton body on it. The one thing I don't like is the lettering on the unit. The lettering on the cab doors is to plain jane in my opinion. The lettering on the driver's side of the unit is not centered height wise, and the white lettering on the red stripe is to small. I also don't like the red and white chevron on the back of the unit. The lights are nice, all LED. I am not to sold yet on not having a light bar on the front of the unit. We had the guy back it in the bay so we could take a look at it. It is nice in the back, has dual bench seats, all push button controls. We started to get the supplies back on it. O'Neal and John started woroking on getting the "M" cylinders and myself and the new guy started working on the backboard compartment. The tones then went off for a diabetic problem in Halifax Township. Jim and the new guy left in 6-5 and took that call. County then told them that 13 didn't have a crew and that they were to handle the call. Alf then went responding in 13-2 as a QRS. Jim then told county to dispatch his BLS truck, which was me and O'Neal. We got pissed off because we know this game that Jim was tried to play before. I talked to Steve and he said to head down class 3. We went the speed limit the whole way down to the scene. We got there and Jim ended up taking the call anyway and we helped them load the guy in 6-7. We then left and headed back to Eville. We got as far as the Grub House when 6-7 called us back for assistance. We turned around and went back class 1 to their location. I grabbed a set of gloves and opened the side door and Jim told me to get in and drive. I got in and we went down class 2 to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. When I got back they had out everything back on the truck. I took a look at it and was pleased with the outside compartments. I then looked inside and was not happy with the one cabinet. They put all the liens in the cabinet beside the captain's chair and then put all the bed pans and urinals ans that kind of stuff under the driver's side bench seat. I talked to Steve and he wanted me to go over everything a second time to make sure everything was there for licensure. I asked him if I could move some interior cabinets around and he said ok. He also told me that it was my truck and to take it and run with it. So I went out and went through everything and added a few things and moved the liens to the cabinet behind the captain's chair. I then moved everything from under the bench seat to the cabinet beside the captain's chair. While I was doing that, the tones went off for an overdose in Halifax Township. 13 now had a crew so me and O'Neal didnt have to go on this call. O'Neal then asked Steve if we could road test the new unit and he said sure that it was our truck now. So after I was done we took it out and O'Neal drove first. We took it up through Lykens and over through Wiconisco to see how it handled on rough roads. He then pulled over and we switched drivers. I took it back out to 209 by going the back way through Wiconisco. We then stopped at Wal-Mart so O'Neal could grab something to make for dinner. I then took the unit up Eville mountain to see how it would handle and then we went down Mountain House Road and came back up Quarry Road. We then went back to the station and I typed up what is in all the compartments and cabinets, while O'Neal made dinner. He then left at 20:00 hours and then Tim broke out his laptop and started flying again. Then around 21:20 hours I put in Disc 4 of Season 3 of Emergency. We watched most of the episode when Enders and one of the guys from 20 came in to see the new ambulance. I stopped the DVD and we took them out to look at it. Enders then told me about adding a few more things that he did not know where they were. I put them in and then Tim said about heading up to Koppy to get something to eat. We headed up there and I ordered some popcorn chicken. I then grabbed a soda and the tones went off for breathing problems in Eville Borough. We got back in 6-3 and headed off to the scene. We got there and got the lady loaded up and headed on down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Sheetz so Tim could get somethint to eat and drink. I also grabbed 5 chicken strips to munch on along with my popcorn chicken. We then headed on back to Eville. We got as far as the Clugston Farm, when the tones went off for chest pains in Upper Paxton Township. I turned around and we headed on up to Millersburg. We got to the scene and they already had the lady loaded in the back of their unit. I moved Tim's gear over to 20-1 and then they headed on down to the hospital. I then headed back to Eville to get Tim some batteries and some supplies to take down to Sheetz with me incase we got another call on the way back again. I stopped at the station and while I was getting his supplies, the tones went off again for breathing problems in Wayne Township. Ambulance 6-5, Kathy and Shultz took that call and got Perry Medic 81 as their ALS. I then stopped at Koppy's and got my chicken and then headed to Sheetz. I talked to Bill while I waited for Tim and 20 to get back. They got back around 03:00 hours and then we headed bacl up to Eville. Once there I helped him restock his gear from the previous two calls. He then went back to the men's bunk room to go to sleep and I ran up to Shell to get fuel. I then headed on back and finally laid down on the couch around 04:10 hours. The tones then went off at 04:30 hours for a sick person, class 1 in Upper Paxton Township. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on. Tim hadn't come out of the bunk room yet, so I walked back and woke him up and told him that was ours. We then got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and we helped the crew from 20-1 get the lady loaded in their ambulance. Tim ended up releasing the Pt's to BLS and we headed back to the station. Once back, I went back to sleep and did not wake up until 07:45 hours this morning. I got up just as Steve came in the door. He said to pull 6-4, the new unit around to the front. We found a pillow and put it on the stretcher and then me and Stutzman put the stretcher in the new unit. Stutzman then pulled the Reeves off of 6-8 and put it in the oxygen compartment. Zach and Bowser then came out and looked at the unit. Zack agreed with how hedious the lettering looked on the truck. Steve and Tim then put ALS gear on the truck and took it down to New Cumberland to have it inspected and licensed. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 15:00 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper and told my mother about my day. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I am soon getting ready to leave to head into town to get my hair cut. I am then going to run up to Wal-Mart and get candy for the candy wheel this Saturday. I am then going to come home and take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
