Busy Sunday

I went to bed Saturday night around 01:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out to do a rig check on 6-8. As I turned the rig on, I heard 6-5 go responding to Tower City for a call. So I knew that Stutzman and Jim were alraedy out. I did my rig check and then got on the computer and filled out my form and checked a few things while I ate breakfast. Then around 09:48 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Township. Tim got in the squad and me and Audrey got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and me and Tim took him down to Osteo amd Audrey took the squad back to the station. After we got what we needed at Osteo, we started on back. Tim had me stop at the Bread Company so he could get a cup of coffee and something to eat for breakfast. As we were getting ready to walk in, the tones went off for a diabetic problem in Washington Township. Stutzman and Jim took that call. We then headed on back. Once back at the station I helped Tim restock and then went in toi eat lunch when the tones went off for an allergic reaction, class 3 in Lykens Township. Me and Audrey got in 6-8 and took off. We got there and talked to the lady and got a refusal on her and then headed back to the station. Once there I ate lunch and logged my refusal. While I was doing that, around 13:10 hours, the tones went off for chest pains in Millersburg Borough. Tim got in the squad and took off for Millersburg. Me and Audrey then washed our cars and then washed 6-8. As we were getting ready to start washing 6-8, the tones went off for an unconscious person in Millersburg Borough. Stutzman and Jim stopped at the station and dropped off their food and then headed on down to Millersburg. As soon as we were finished washing 6-8, the tones went off for an accident with injuries involving a Motorcycle in Halifax Township. Meand Audrey got in 6-8 and off we went. We got down there and there ended up being 6 patients in total. We took 2 patients down to Hershey and 6-3 took 2 patients down to Hershey. Jim grabbed Tim Neiter from 29 to drive their unit since he had the 2 ALS patients. We got down there and after we got what we needed, we headed on back. Tim decided to head back with us since we left before the other crew. As we were coming down 322 and past the Linglestown exit, county fire dispatched an accident with injuries on 22/322 West Bound in the area of the Fishing Creek exit. We were coming up on the accident and I stayed in the right hand lane. I called county and they told me to stand by and 9-1 went responding and asked if county had a number of injuries. Before county could key up, I keyd up and advised county that 6-3 was on the scene of the accident and would advise of number of injuries. It ended up that the guy that wrecked, got out and gave his keys to a lady who had stopped to see if she could help and took off running towards Front Street. I went back and advised county that there were no patients. 9-1 and Rescue 37 got there and then we took off. As we were leaving, the tones went off for an overdose in Halifax Township. Tim went responding in the squad. We dropped Tim off at his house in Dauphin and then headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Audrey could get something to eat and then we headed on back. The overdose ended up being a refusal and Tim went available. Once back at the station I emptied the trash cans and got the trash together and ready to put in the dumpster. Stutzman and Jim then got there and then Tim got back. Tim and Audrey worked on their charts while Stutzman and Jim ate, then they left. Tim went back into the bunk room to get some sleep and then Audrey left at 20:00 hours. I then ran up to Jo-Jo's and got dinner and ran over to Koppy's to get something to drink and then headed on back. I then sat down and watched Backdraft. Tim got up around 21:00 hours and headed up to Jo-Jo's to get something to eat and then came back. After backdraft was over, we watched a episode of Emergency. Tim then went to bed around 00:30 hours and I watched a little TV and then went to sleep around 01:00 hours. The tones went off around 03:10 hours for a fall victim class 3 in Millersburg for either 13 or us. 20-2 then got on the air and said that they were responding. So I reset the pager and went back to sleep. Then around 07:27 hours the tones went off for Dalmatia for a bull shit call. I went back to sleep and got up at 07:51 hours. I got the stuff back on my belt and put my suitcase away and then took my suitcase and fanny pack out to my car. Kathy an John then came in. I clocked out and gave me report to them and then left and headed on home. Once at home I got my uniform ready and then got dressed and then headed up to the fire house. I got there and Schoffstall and Lonny were there. Bubba then came up and said that Jaz was going with him in the Tanker and he pulled it out and hosed it off. Lonny already had the Engine out and I put my gear in it and then we took off and headed into the Borough Park. We got there and then went through the parade. After it was over we ran up to Shell so Lonny could put fuel in the Engine and Jaz and Bubba could get something to drink and then we headed back to the station. Once there we put the trucks away and talked a little bit and then we all left. I headed home and once at home I changed out of my uniform and into street clothes and then read the paper. Lowes had already delivered the new water heater and my father and mother pulled out to head to Wal-Mart as I turned onto our street. After I read the paper I ate lunch while I got on the computer to check a few things. I then called Tim Meyrs from Dunncanon around 13:00 hours and he said he would be over. He took all the lights except the light bar, the older straier, both sections of booster hose, and the 4 flat bottom spare cylinders for $120.00 bucks, a very good deal in my opinion. I then went to work on the old portable pump that we are scraping. Bill then stopped by and helped me with a few things. Once I was done with the pump, I started going through the wood. I got rid of all the wood that was warpead and busted. I then started stacking the wood beside the old fire house. Troy then whistled for me to come down to the house and grab sonmething to eat. I went down and Robin and Bubba, and Jess had made stuff for a traditonal cook out. I had 4 hot dogs and a soda and shot the shit a little. I then left and headed back up to the old fire house to go back to work. I got the Little Giant ladder from the fire house and set it up in the old fire house to mount some wood on the wall to make a third brace like the ones that held the wood, to move those plastic pipes up. As I was getting ready to get on the ladder, the pager went off for a brush fire on Rettinger Road. I ran over to the fire house and to my stall. Troy then came running in, followed by Robby and then Bubba, as I heard him start the Tanker up. I kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helemt. LeeAnn and Lonny were already in the Engine and Troy and Robby were heading there. I got in the Utility and started it up. The Engine took off and then Bubba with the Tanker and then I followed him. We got there and the fire was already out. We grabbed a water can off of the Tanker and we wet down the spot. I then found out that the rear spare cylinder compartment on the Engine came open when they went around the last turn and the cylinder went flying. We stopped back at the spot to look for it. Troy found the latch and Lonny found the cylinder. We then headed on back. Once back I filled the water can and recharged it and put it back on the Tanker. I then went back over to the old fire house and got my bracket made up and got the pipes up there. I was only able to get 3 pipes up there, but at least it made some more room in the old fire house. I then put the good wood back on and then put everything away. I then headed on down to Bubba's house, but he was already inside. I sat outside under the canopy that they had just put up and talked to Jess, Troy and Lonny. We all left around 21:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
