Quiet 24 Hours
I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suit case and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and parked and went inside and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out and did a rig check on 6-3. Brian then came out and told me my oxygen levels. Jim then showed up. I went in and ate breakfast and then got on the computer to fill out my form. Jim then wanted to go to Special Place for breakfast so we left and headed on down there. Once there we sat down with Kathy, Flipper and O'Neal and ate breakfast. I had two pieces of white toast and a side order of bacon with water. We then left and I headed 0ver to Shell and got fuel and then we headed back up to Lykens. Once at Lykens I decided to wash 6-3. I took my time and it took me about 1-1/2 hours to wash the truck. That was just more time that I was away from Jim and I loved it. I then went in and around 12:00 hours the tones went off for a fall victim in Wiconisco Township. 6-3 went responding and Jim said about heading over to the scene to stablize until they got there. So we got in 6-3 and headed on over. Kathy and O'Neal then showed up and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. Jim then had me stop at Don's so he could get lunch and then we headed back to the station. Once back I ate lunch while I checked a few things online. I then sat down and watched TV. Then around 19:45 hours the tones went off for heart problems in Lykens Borough. It was one of our frequent flyers in Lykens that we seem to get whenever me and Tim are on. We just took this guy down Friday evening. Jim called Tim and told him to meet us at the scene and then me and Jim headed on down. We got the guy loaded up and Jim walked back to the station and me and Tim headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. Harrisburg was jam packed when we got there. I had to park in one of the slots facing the brick wall. We then waited for close to 30 minutes to get a bed. Most of the ER staff was working on a 7 year old child that drowned in Hall Manor that Life Team had brought in. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz and I got something to eat for dinner as did Tim. We then headed on back to Eville. Once there I checked supplies and filled out a time card and then Kathy asked me to run her up to Koppy's. We got up there and she got something to drink and eat and then we headed back to the station. As we pulled in she said that she forgot to get some smokes while she was up there. So we headed back up and she got a pack of smokes and then we headed on back. Then me and Tim left and headed back up to Lykens. Tim then stopped at Koppy's to get a cup of coffee and then we headed on up. Once back we watched one episode of Season 3 of Emergency. Tim then went home and I went to sleep around 01:30 hours. I got up this morning at 07:58 hours. Last night I decided to try sleeping on the materess and it actually was not that bad and I slept pretty good. I actually think it was better then when I slept on the couch. I got up and got my stuff on my belt and got my boots on. I then put my pillow away. Bowser was already there and then Zach came in. I gave my report to Zach and then clocked out and left. I then stopped at the Eville station and filled out the rest of my time card and then headed on home, Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house. I went into the old fire house and cleaned up some more stiff to sell and got info on it and got pictures. Bubba then came up and I asked him about some stuff and then he went to work on mounting some stuff on the Tanker. Bill also showed up and helped me a little bit. I then left around 16:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed clothes and then left to head on down to County for training tonight. I stopped at Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription and then headed on down to County. Training was ok, a little boring. After it was over I headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at the fire house. Bubba, Troy and LeeAnn were there. My father also stopped and was talking to Bubba. We all left around 22:10 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
