Drunk Out of my Mind
I went to bed Thursday night around 02:30 hours and got up Friday morning around 10:45 hours when I heard my father out mowing the lawn. I got up and read the paper and then ate lunch while I did a few things on the computer. The house phone rang around 12:00 hours and a few minutes later, my mother came back and said that my Grandfather was in the Harrisburg Hospital again with a fast heart beat. My father was just finishing up mowing the lawn and she told him and he got cleaned up and they both headed on down to the hospital. I then left and headed up to the fire house to do some work on the Engine to get it clean for convention next Saturday. Katina then showed up and then her mother showed up and they went down to work on the thermometer. I helped Katina get tape on the thermometer for her mother. Bev did the one side and then had to run down to the garage to make out some bills. Kenny then came down and me and him worked on the driver's side compartments on the Engine. Bev then came back up and did the other side. My mother then called me and said that my Grandfather was doing better and that he was still in the ER and waiting for a room. She said that they would stop and grab me something to eat for dinner. I then backed the Engine in and Jess got home and came up and we started talking and she grabbed a Miller Lite out of the fridge and we sat outside of the fire house and talked. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I at the sub that they had picked up for me. I then took a shower and got changed into my club clothes and then headed back up to the fire house. We had a crowd last night for shade. Martha, Gary, Robin, and Dave S. went in Martha's van. Lonny drove our van and Bubba sat up front. Ruby and her boyfriend then sat in the first bench seat. Katina and Schoffstall on the secone bench seat. LeeAnn and Roller Dave in the next and then myself, Troy, Tonita, and Jess in the back seat. I had 3 Coors Lights before we even got over to the bar. We had blast over there. I don't even know how many Coors Lights I had. I know Bubba bought me one Yeager Bomb for my birthday. I danced one slow song with Jess and I was hoping to dance with one of the girls from a group of men and ladies that were sitting beside us, but they were all married. I ended up upchucking in the bathroom before we left and they put me up front in the van. I don't remember the ride home. I remember getting in the van and putting my seatbelt on and then waking up when we got back to the station. Once at the station I got in my car and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went to sleep. I got up at 06:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then grabbed mt Gatorade from last night and headed on up to the fire house. I got there and Lonny, Kenny and Katina were all there and then LeeAnn pulled in shortly after me. We got everything together and then Bubba came up and we all headed up to Wal-Mart. Me anmd Kenny went in the Utility and Bubba went with LeeAnn in her Jeep. We got up there and got things set up and had chicken all set up and ready to go. The Children's Marical Network was not. They had nothing ready for us and did not have coolers ready for us when the first round of chicken was done. We ended up doing 500 quarters. Halfway through, once we got coolers out and got the second round of chicken on, Schoffstall then showed up and then Lonny and Kenny left to go fill 3 pools. We finally finished up around 12:45 hours and then tore down and was out of there by 13:30 hours. Once back at the station, I took my gear out of the back of the Utility and then helped put the canopy away. Schoffstall then got the air conditioners out of the old fire house and we got them in the fire hall and I want to tell you what, it really cooled down in the hall. Bubba then had me bring the backboards and stuff up so he could mark our name on it. I then headed on home to eat dinner. Once at home I had shake and bake chicken and then helped my father bring the other two air conditioners up to the house so they could go in my room and their bed room. I then headed back up to the fire house to help get those back boards on the Engine. I guess Lonny somehow knoked the sign off the back of the Tanker. I worked on it and put new hooks on it while Bubba worked on cleaned out the compratments. Before Schoffstall left, he got in the back of the Utility and we found out that a pinched wire was the calpruit for the red flashers on the Utility flashing together instead of alternating. I then wiped down the Indiana rake we used today and then got the backboards on the Engine. I then left around 23:07 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
