NEW JERSEY
I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got there and parked and was sitting in my car listening to the radio when Stutzman came out and hit the side of my car with his palm. I was not paying attention, so it statrled me a bit. We talked some and then went inside. I took my stuff inside and put my lunch box and my Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out and did a rig check on 6-3. Tim had come in by then. I then checked the BLS and ALS supplies and everything was good and I did not have to order anything. Steve then came in and he said about going to breakfast. So we headed up to Special Place and met Jim and O'Neil and had breakfast. Me and Steve S. then ran up to Wal-Mart so he could get razor's. We then went around back to wait for Boyer to show up with his van and drop it off so we could take him back to the station. Once we got back, I checked a few things online and then decided to head up into the attick to take a look at that one bag that Steve said still had supplies in it. I took a pillow case up and found a lot more then what I thought was up there. I know I took quite a bit of scrap that was just going to be thrown away and put it in my car for the fire company to use. I got the supplies out and down and went through them and put away what we could still use. I then talked to Steve about throwing some of that stuff upstairs away and he did not have a problem with that. I also talked to him about the 6 SCBA's up there and he said about getting rid of them and seeing if we could make any money off of them. So I went back up and started tossing stuff down and handed the SCBA's down so I could clean them up, get info off of them and get pictures of them so I could put them up on Centralpafire. I think I spent about an hour up there going through stuff and then I came down. I cleaned the SCBA's up and got pictures of them and got the info on them so I could post them later. The tones then went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township. Tim and Boyer got in 6-2 and took off. We then loaded everything up in the back of Steve's truck and took it out back to the dumpster. Boyer told Steve to go through the maintenance cabinet and straighten it up and he threw a few things away. He also got rid of the metal filing cabinet in the bay's and brought the rubbermaid cabinet out from the wash room. I loaded the filing cabinet up in the back of my car for scrap down at the fire house. I had quite a bit of scrap in my car. I then went to work on all the old oxygen regulators that Stutzman and Steve S. brought down the other day. The tones then went off for an overdose in Halifax Township. 6-5 went responding and then Dohn got on the radio and put 13 out of service. 6-5 then said about dispatching 20 for a BLS truck. So county started dispatching them for their second truck. Of course they never got out and then county told 6-5 that they got a phone call from 13-1 that they would now be getting out. Well PSP ended up cancelling EMS as they were not needed. While this was going on, Boyer had Steve run him up to Wal-Mart in the squad to get his van. I then left and headed down to Sheetz to pick up Tim. Steve left at 16:00 hours due to working at West Schuylkill Friday night, so it was me and Tim in Eville and Jim and O'Neil in Lykens. I ate lunch while I did a few things on the computer. The around 19:10 hours the tones went off for a fall victim, class 2 at Koppy's in Eville. Me and Tim got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and the kid ended up being a refusal, but we had to wait for his parents to come down from Lykens to sign the paperwork. While we were there, the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Township. 6-5 took that call. Once we got the signatures, we headed back to the station. We then talked about grabbing something to eat while I did my paperwork from the call. Jim then called Tim and told him to call Kuntz about coming down to the Eville station until they got back. Tim called Kuntz and then around 19:56 hours while I was on the computer, I heard Chief 24-B call county and ask for his unit and a medic from 6 to be dispatched to Fire Station 24 for chest pains. I went out and told Tim we were heading to Williamstown. He said about Kuntz getting there and taking the squad up to the call. The tones then dropped and Kuntz wasn't there yet. So we ended up taking it anyway. We ended up meeting 24-2 at Koppy's Propane and then Tim went down with them. I then headed back to the station and Kuntz was there. He then said about washing his car in the bay and I pulled 6-2 out and he pulled his car in. He had just started washing it when the tones went off for breathing problems in Williamstown. Kuntz went responding and this time he met 24-1 at Koppy's Propane and they continued on down to Holy Spirit Hospital class 1. Bubba then called and talked to me and then Jim called and rambeled off some stuff and I ended up yelling at him through the phone. They got there and I ended up going up with them to Lykens. We dropped Jim off at the station and then headed up to Koppy's Propane so I could pick up the squad. I got the squad and then we headed back down to Eville. I put the squad away and then waited for Tim to get back. It wasn't shortly after that he got back. I helped him restock and then we ran up to Koppy's and I got something to eat for dinner and we headed back to the station. Kuntz then came in and after he did a few things, they headed back up through to Lykens. I then got on Kathy's PS2 and played some Guitar Hero until 01:45 hours and then I laid down and went to sleep. Around 02:30 hours the tones went off for an overdose in Upper Paxton Township. I got up and got the stuff on my belt and my boots on and then went into the bunk room since Tim had not come out yet. I walked in and told Tim to get up and he said that he didn't hear any tones. I said they went off and again he said that he did not hear them. So I went out to the day room to check I/Net when the tones went off again. I went back in the bunk room and he was getting out of bed. I grabbed my stuff and got in 6-3 and once he came out off we went. We got there and 20-1 was already there. They headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital and I headed back to the station to get some sleep. Tim then called me aorund 04:30 hours and asked me where I was at and I said the station. He asked why I wasn't at Sheetz and I said he never called. He said he sent me a text and I said I told him to call me. He said to meet him at 20's station. So I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then got in 6-3 and took off for 20's station. I got there and they pulled in about 30 seconds later. I moved his stuff over and then we headed back to the station. Once there I laid back down to go back to sleep again. The tones then went off around 06:10 hours for breathing problems in Williamstown Borough. I reset my pager and went back to sleep. Then at 06:26 hours the tones went off for a cardiac arrest in Jackson Township, followed shortly by my fire pager. I got the stuff on my belt and my boots on and we got in 6-3 and off we went. We got on the scene with Dave and went inside and it was an obvious Signal 12. I put the stuff away and then went to the door as my father was coming in and I waved my hand for him to go back outside. We walked outside and Bubba and Schoffstall were walking up and I said never mind as a Signal 12 had been called. We shot the shit for a little bit and then they left. O'Neil then pulled in as he came down from Williamstown as a Q. While we were there and proibally around 07:30 hours the tones went off for a call in Wiconisco Township. 24 responded with Kuntz from Fisherville and then O'Neil then left to meet up with them and make a MICU. Zack ended up releaving O'Neil. The funerl home got there around 08:30 hours and we helped load the body up and then left and headed back to the station. Once there I clocked out and shot the shit for a little bit and then headed on home to the fire house. I stopped and dropped all this scrap off and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to post these SCBA's on Centralpafire and then Kathy called me and we were talking on the cell phone. The at 14:56 hours the tones went off for a brush fire on Rutter Road. I quickly hung up with Kathy and got dressed and then got in my car and took off with my father in tow behind me in his truck. I got there and parked and as I parked the Tanker was leaving. I went in and kicked my shoes off and Kenny was getting his gear on. I then saw Bubba over by the Engine door. He got in and told my father to get in with him and for me and Kenny to take the Utility. Schoffstall then showed up and grabbed his gear and then LeeAnn got there as I was pulling out and took off, followed by the Engine. It was a 10' by 10' section of grass and weeds that were on fire. We used the garden hose off of the Tanker and two Indian Rakes off of the Utility. We left there and headed back. The Tanker dropped off the hose and then headed into the pump house to get water. I changed out of my gear and finished up the report and then left and headed on home after everyone else left. Once at home I ate dinner and then Steve from West Milford called me and said that they were about 1 hour out from us. I left he house around 17:50 hours and headed on up. Let me tell you what, these guys were outrageous. I got Schoffstall to help load the Booster Reels up in the back ot their chief's car and then they decided to stay for a little bit at the bingo. We showed them the station and the trucks before bingo and they got a few pictures. Bingo was fantastic. I had at least 7 Coors Lights. I left there around 22:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
