My Daily Thoughts
Thursday, July 31, 2008
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and woke up this morning around 11:30 hours when I could no longer sleep. I got out of bed and got dressed and then ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played some Outlaw Tennis. Then at 14:00 hours I went outside and helped my mother bag up some weeds and branches she had cut for trash tomorrow. I then came back inside and went back to playing tennis. Then around 15:00 hours the pager went off for a fall victim halfway up Peters Mountain. I got my boots on and then got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and Sue was already there and had 13-1 running and put us responding. We got there and the guy was sitting along the side of the road. His car had broken down and when the guy from Keiner's got the guy's car on the roll back, the guy fell and hit his head off of the road. We ended up taking the guy down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at 3B's and met Bruce there. I got a large vanilla milkshake and they both got ice cream cones and we talked. We then left and headed back to the shed. Once there I logged my time in and then did the paperwork from the call and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

A Night of Calls....For the Medic
I left the house last night around 19:20 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got there and parked and got my stuff and then headed inside. Steve was there and when I waslked in I asked him if they found a medic for the night shift in Lykens and he said no and that was why he was there. I then put my Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then clocked in and sat my suitcase beside the couch. I then quickly went over supplies and everything was ok and I didn't need to order anything. Enders and John then got back from the Berrysburg Parade and I did a quick rig check on 6-3. I then found out that Bowser was out on a call with 13. Enders and John didn't stay very long and left shortly after getting back. I then got on the computer and filled out my rig check forum and then checked a few other things online. I then came out at 21:00 hours to watch the Dirty Jobs Shark Week episode on TV. Bowser got back around 20:20 hours and after restocking, went back to trying to put rear brakes on his car, which was in the squad bay. The tones went off for chest pains in Dalmatia. He got back around 23:30 hours and restocked his gear and once again went back to working on his car. He got to finsih this time. Myself and Steve talked a lot about different things while we watched TV. He laid down on the recliner around 23:30 hours. I stayed up and watched TV. The around 01:20 hours I heard over the scanner 1 20-1 box get hit for a structure fire in the borough. Naturally my ears perked up and I cracked open my fire pager and got on the computer in the day room and started posting on centralpafire and the upper county site. About 5 minutes later, Chief 20 went on the scene with a working structure fire and the box was upgraded to the working fire box. Steve woke up when he heard Eville's house siren go off and he asked me where the fire call was and I told him Millersburg. I ended up going to bed around 02:30 hours. Shortly after I laid down, the tones went off for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough. Bowser was still up working on his two charts from earlier in the night. He left in the squad and I fell asleep. I woke up around 06:00 hours when Bowser backed the sqaud in the bay. He then restocked his gear and came in and sat down on the blue couch to get some sleep. About 20 minutes later, once again the tones went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. He got up and got in the squad and left. I was now up as I could no longer get back to sleep. Stutzman came in around 06:50 hours and the three of us talked. Tindell then came in and I clocked out at 08:04 hours and then left shortly after that and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up at 11:30 hours and took the sheets off of my bed and took them downstairs. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then put new sheets on my bed and then got on the PS2 to play some Outlaw Tennis. I then got off at 16:45 hours and made dinner and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Berrysburg's New Engine
I went to bed last night around 02:35 hours and got up this afternoon ar 13:05 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then took a shower and then got on the PS2 to play some Outlaw Tennis. I got off at 15:35 hours and headed up to the fire house. I had called Robby a few minutes earlier and asked him if he could give Brett Welker from Gratz a CD with pictures on it. I got up there and him, Troy and Kenny were washing the Tanker. Troy then pulled the Utility out and I had Kenny help me move the trailer over to the front of the station. After they finished washing the Utility me and Robby hooked the trailer up to the Utility and then we loaded the four wheeler onto the trailer and secured it. I then left and headed on home. I am soon going to be eating dinner and then I am going to be getting ready to head up to Eville to go to work for the night.

Another Ho-Hum Chicken BBQ
I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and reset my alarm and went back to bed. I then got up at 06:45 hours when my alarm went off a second time. I got out of bed and changed into old street clothes and then grabbed something small for breakfast and then got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and ate my breakfast and then grabbed a soda out of the fridge in the fire house. I then grabbed my gloves and headed over into the old fire house to start putting charcoal into the pit. Just as I was starting the second pit, Schoffstall pulled in. He then came into the old fire house and helped me finish putting charcoal into the pit. I then opened up the front doors and as I did this, Bubba came up from the house. Dave then pulled in and then LeeAnn and Katina pulled in and started working on stuff in the kitchen. We then pulled the pit out and then set up the canopy. Martha then headed up to the hall to help out with the prep work. We then got the pits going and then brought the stainless steel table and boxes of chicken down from the hall. Bubba then ran into town and I had him pick me up a half gallon of Guers Orange Drink. Once we got the chickens on, it didn't take long for them to get done. My father came up at some point with a new bag for us to use to put the small parts for the canopy in. He then stayed and helped out where he could with the chicken bbq and the tear down. Bubba then had me pull the Utility over and I helped Schoffstall hook up the trailer. Troy then moved it over and loaded the four wheeler onto it and then a table. They then left and headed up to erdman around 13:00 hours. After things setteled down a little bit, Katina and LeeAnn put the festival stuff in the hall away and we set what tables that weren't rented out back up. I then ate my half chicken. Again it was slow to get rid of the chicken and in the end we wound up calling a few people to see if they wanted chicken or not. Once we got rid of everything, we cleaned everything up and then Dave backed the Tanker in and I backed the Engine in and then he and Holly left as Dave had to be somewhere. The people that rented the tables and chairs out for the weekend then brought them back and me and LeeAnn helped them unload them and set them back up. LeeAnn then helped me empty out the pit and then put it away. I then got on the lawn mower and mowed a few spots I missed and then put it away and closed up the old fire house. I then closed up the fire house and left around 14:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got on the PS2 and played some Outlaw Tennis. I got off at 16:55 hours and then made and ate dinner while I watched the end of the race from Indy. Jimmie Johnson won the race. The only problem was tha tires that they were running we really bad and did not hold up well against the track surface. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Total of 5 Now
I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got upt this afternoon around 12:10 hours. As I got out of bed my phone rang and it was Bubba. He told me that they were on their way back from HACC. I asked him how they did and he said that himself and Lonny passed. LeeAnn needs to retake her written test and she has to go down sometime this week and do her SCBA donning again, so that is not to bad. He then asked me if I was busy and I said no. He asked me if I wanted to help clean chickens when Lonny gets back with them. I then ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and just as I was getting ready to leave the house around 14:00 hours to head up to the fire house, Bubba called my phone and asked me if I was coming up and I said I was on my way up. I got up there and Lonny and Bubba were sitting outside of the station talking to Joe from Eville. Jess then came up to get the bag of ice out of the freezer in the station and then went back down to the house. Troy then beeped Bubba to ask about the birthday party and Bubba said he thought it started at 14:30 hours. He then asked Troy if he would mind coming up and help clean chicken. Troy said he would make his way up there. We went up into the hall and got the stainless steel table in the kithcen ready by moving stuff off of it and wiping it down. We then all washed our hands and then got gloves on and started cleaning the chickens. We are doing 125 chickens tomorrow. After we were done, Troy headed into Deppen Park for the party, Bubba went down to the house to get a shower before heading in and I think Lonny was going to head in also. I then took the trash out from the kitchen and then shut the hall up and headed on home. Once at home I got on the PS2 and played some Outlaw Tennis. I got off around 17:30 hours and just finished eating dinner and am now getting ready to do some things online. I am going to be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

New Unit is Licensed
I went to bed last night around 03:06 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 13:30 hours and headed up to Eville. I ran up to Shell and got gas and then headed to the Eville station. I got up there and parked and went inside. Tindell was walking out to go on a call in Millersburg and he left with the squad. I went online and printed out the list of required stuff to be on the unit for licensure and then moved 6-5 into the bay that the squad was in. I then started checking over everything and then moved the ALS gear from 6-3 over so that 6-5 could be licensed as a MICU. Melissa from the federation came up to do the licensure. Steve and John had just gotten back from Spittler's as she was pulling in. It took about a little under an hour to go over the unit. While we were going over the unit, UPS came and dropped off 3 packages. Two of them were supplies that I had ordered the other day. After we were done with the unit, I put the supplies away and also quickly checked supplies. I then left there around 15:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to do a few things. I just finished eating dinner and am also watching MASH on TV right now. At 19:00 hours I am going to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Day of Fire Calls
I went to bed Tuesday night around 03:00 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:28 hours annd headed up to Eville to go to work. I got up there and noticed that the squad was missing, so I knew at least Tindell was out on a call. I parked and got my stuff together and headed inside. Steve was already there and talking to Brian when I walked in. I sat my suitcase on the couch and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and grabbed my pager. Me and Steve then did a rig check on 6-3 and then Tim came in and went out to check the gear on 6-3. I then filled out the paper work while I ate breakfast. Jim then called and said about him coming down to Eville to make breakfast. Tim then went back into the men's bunk room and laid down to get some sleep. Jim them came in and started making breakfast, biscuits, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy. Boyer then came in and I talked to him about my paycheck and then I asked him if he had an update on a delivery date for the new 6-5. He said that it was coming that day. So I went back in and had a plate of breakfast and then went to work on putting a BLS bag together for the new 6-5. I then went to get a pulse ox and found out that the batteries don't work. So I said something to Boyer about needind batteries to put the bag in service. He said to run up to Family Dollar and get some. So I told Steve that we needed to run up to Family Dollar. He said he would take 6-7 since it had to go to West End Garage for an oil change and then I could pick him up. So that's what we did, he took 6-7 up to West End and I picked him up in 6-3 and then we headed up to Family Dollar. Once there I got some double A batteries and some zip lock bags since we didn't have any more and then we headed back to the station. When we got back the new 6-5 was already there. I got to work right away on stocking the unit so it can be licensed. Steve helped me with the outside compartments. While we were putting the "M" tanks into the unit, Jim and Stutzman left and headed back up to Lykens. After we finished stocking the outside compartments, we took a break. Then around 12:20 hours the tones went off for a CVA in Eville Borough. We got in 6-3 and Tim got in 6-1 and off we went. Of course this happened when it was pouring out, so naturally we got soaked at he scene, because the wife parked her car in the street, blocking their driveway, so we couldn't back up the driveway. We eventually got the guy loaded and Steve drove Tim down to the hospital, and I took 6-1 and went back to the station to work on stocking the inside of 6-5. I got back and went back into the BLS room and got two big boxes and started putting supplies in them to take out to the truck to save on a lot of walking. I got the boxes out there and started going through them, and then around 14:30 hours the tones went off for a sick person, class 2 in Lykens Township. Boyer asked me if him and me wanted to just handle it since 6-3 was not back yet, or would I rather stay at the station and work on 6-5. I told him I would rather work on finishing stocking 6-5. So 6-8 from Lykens took the call. 6-3 then got back and I said I needed to run up to Wal-Mart to get some different baskets for the one cabinet, since the ones I had wouldn't fit. Around 15:15 hours I took Tim and ran up to Wal-Mart and got 4 baskets and Tim got the chicken and some charcoal to make the food for the staff meeting tonight. I got back and had just finished stocking 6-5 when the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Upper Paxton Township on Route 147. Tim went responding in 6-1 and then 20-1 went responding. County then advised of two injuries. So me and Steve got in 6-3 and off we went. We got about half way there and county came back and said that the location was now changed to the 4900 block of Route 209 in Washington Township. I turned around at Dauphin Graphics and we headed back up to the scene. The accident was in front of Bumble Bee Hollow, the miniture golf course. We got on scene and it was a rear end collision, however it was a good accident. The lady rearend the pickup truck and most likely totalled both vehicles. Steve headed on down to the pick up truck to check on those patients and I checked out the lady from the other vehicle. She ended up being a refusal as she had a minor laceration on her arm. We ended up taking both guys from the pick up truck. Tim decided to ride on down since he had quite a bit of patient contact with the one guy. I moved Tim's squad into the one parking lot and then we headed on down to Hershey. Once we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at the Hess Gas Station so I could get something to eat since I was starving, and especially since I did not stop working on 6-5 to eat lunch. We then continued on back. While we were coming back, around 19:30 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. Jim and Stutzman took that call. Once back at the station we restocked the extrication stuff and then restocked Tim's gear and then went into listen to the end of the con-ed class. Once everyone left, me and Tim sat down on the couch and I put in Disc 2 and we started to watch an episode of Season 4 of Emergency. We got about halfway through when I heard 6-8 backing up beside the buidling. I stopped it as I knew Jim would most likely bitch that we were sitting around doing nothing. We were all standing out in the bay when my fire pager went off, followed by the tones for wires arcing in Jefferson Township. We got in 6-3 and off we went. We did manage to get on the scene. While enroute I heard both the Engine and Tanker go responding over the fire radio we have in 6-3. I got out of the rig and Jason was on Engine 19-1. I walked over and we started talking and he said that us (216) shouldn't have been dispatched on the call, but he thinks county put it in as a brush fire and that was why we were dispatched. The box was put in service very quickly and we headed on back to Eville. We stopped at Koppy's and I grabbed something to munch on and Tim got something to drink and we headed on back to the station. Once there Tim took the squad and ran up to get fuel in that. I took that time to do the dishes and sweep the carpet. Once he was back we finished the episode of Emergency. Tim then went back into the bunk room and went to sleep. I then did my refusal chart and my chart on the wires down call. I then put my big BLS supply order in since my BLS supplies took a hit when I had to stock 6-5. I then went to sleep around 02:00 hours. I woke up at 04:59 hours when the station tone went off for a BLS call for Dalmatia. I went back to bed and woke up again at 07:39 hours when my fire pager went off for a structure fire in Halifax Township. Naturally I was upset that I was now missing a second call due to being at work. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on. I put my pillow away and got my lunch box out of the fridge, then grabbed my scope and bag out of the unit and took them out to my car. Once Stutzman got there I clocked out and headed on down to the station. I called Bubba and asked him if he was on the call and he said yes. I then told him I was heading down to the station and I asked him if he wanted me to grab my gear and headed into the scene. He told me to just stay at the station as the Engine crew was just standing there and they weren't being used. Once there I went in and decided to sweep out the Engine bay. As I finished the Engine got back. Dave was driving with Schoffstall in the officers seat and Ray in the back. Bubba was up at Swab's and was soon getting ready to leave to take that truck down to Berks County when the call came in and he went to the scene in his car. I then talked to the guys and then Bubba and then finally left around 10:10 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I ended up getting back up at 12:15 hours as I couldn't get back to sleep. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 13:40 hours. Once up there I started working in the old fire house. I reorganized the festival stands and then moved around the plywood, frames for the stage and the old steps. Troy showed up while I was doing the stands and washed the Tanker off and then mowed most of the lawn. He then left around 16:00 hours and I then whacked weeds and finished mowing the rest of the lawn. Charlie, Matt, Bruce, and Tyler from 29 came out to pick up the exhaust fan off of the Utility to use during the play at the high school. They also bought the water curtin that we had in the old fire house. I left there around 19:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk, just give me a buzz.

PIllow Parade
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and woke up this afternoon around 12:45 hours. I got up and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to wash the Utility for the Pillow Parade tonight. I pulled the Engine out and then pulled the Utility out. I then got the brushed and a bucket and put soap in it. I then got the pressure washer out and got the gas can off of the Utility and put gas in it. I then hooked the hose up and washed the Utility. I then took a quick break before washing the trailer. I then pulled the trailer over in front of the bays and washed that up. I then took another break before doing my next thing I wanted to do. I then put tire shine on the Utility wheels and the wheels of the trailer. I then found the netural on the four wheeler and pushed it out as Robby was coming across the front lawn. He asked me if I wanted to hook the trailer up to the Utility or not. I told him I wanted to quickly wash the four wheeler off and then we could hook the trailer up. I quickly washed it off and then we moved the trailer around and then I backed the Utility up and hooked the trailer up to it and then pushed the four wheeler on to the trailer. I then moved the Utility down to the lower lot and then backed the Engine in while Robby pulled the Tanker out to wash it. I helped him wash it. Troy then pulled up and he strapped the four wheeler down and got the tickets out. I then got the signs from the hall and put them in the back of the Utility. I then put the station gas can in the back of the Utility and then my gear. I then headed on home. Once at home I quickly changed into my Fisherville t-shirt and got one of my Fisherville hats and then headed back up to the station. Once there I went into the station and grabbed a bottle of water. I then shut the Engine bay door and Troy shut the Tanker bay door. Jess then came up and LeeAnn showed up. We then left around 18:00 hours to head up to Pillow. Jess said I could drive up and she would drive during the parade. Troy went with Robby on the Tanker. I got in the drivers side and then Jess got in the middle and LeeAnn got in the passenger's side and off we went. We got up there around 19:23 hours and we were the first fire company there. However, shortly after we got there, other companies started coming in. I then went over to the carnival grounds and got two hot dogs and a 32 ounze soda and ate the hot dogs and then headed back over to the Utility. We then put the signs on the trailer and then LeeAnn got out the pouches and the tickets and gave one to me. I sold one to one of the guys in Millersburgs Attack which was behind us. We then went through the parade and once back at the carnival grounds, I sold two more tickets. LeeAnn sold 1 ticket before the parade started. We were going to sell tickets during the parade by walking in the parade, but it moved way to fast for us to do it, so we ended up riding on the trailer. We only stayed for a little bit and then we left to head on back. We stopped at Shell in Eville to get fuel for the trucks and gas and then headed back to the station. Once back there we put the four wheeler anf signs away. I then put my gear away and then we put the trailer away and then I put the Utility away and Troy put the Tanker away. Dave and Holly then showed up and them, myself and Troy talked for a little bit and then I left and headed on home around 21:30 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as 07:10 hours will be coming fast.
Shit Magnet
I left the house around 19:10 hours last night and headed up to Eville to go to work. Once up there I parked and Tim and Stutzman came out to smoke and we talked until the tones went off at 19:35 hours for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Tim made the comment about he wondered where Wertz was at. I said not to call Wertz and get him all wound up for the night, especailly since Tim had said 5 minutes earlier that he hadn't run a single call all day. He got in the squad and headed on down to Halifax. I then took my suitcase and Gatorade bottle in. I put my Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then quickly asked Stutzman about the truck. I got on the computer to get the rig check sheet ready and I opened my check when Audrey came in and asked if I could run Wertz down to Halifax to relieve Tim once he was done getting changed. I said that was not a problem. Once Wertz got changed, I ran him down to the scene, which was at Boyer Apartments. They switched out and I ran Tim back up to the Eville station. As we were passing 13's station, the tones went off for chest pains in Eville Borough. Tim called Tracey up in Lykens and told him that he was coming back with me as Wertz switched out with him and he was unavailable to take that call. So Yeager and Tracey took the call and went to Harrisburg Hospital. I dropped him off and he left and then I went over supplies and 6-4. I then put an order in and filled out my rig check sheet and then did a few things online. Around 22:10 hours I believe it was I heard 13-2 go available. About 15 minutes later the tones went off for bleeding in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I called Wertz to see where he was and he said he was at the light in Eville. He said he would be there in a minute and then we would run down as the MICU. While we were heading down there, county hit for a sick person class 3 at SLV. They ended up hacing 20-2 handle the sick person call and we took the bleeding call. We got there and went inside and got the lady loade up and headed on down to Osteo. Once we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Wertz could get something to eat. I grab some chicken strips and some fries and while we were there, the tones went off for a sick person, class 3 in Lykens Borough. I started laughing as Yeager now had to get out of bed and run a call for the night. We then headed back up to Eville. Well they ended up talking the guy in to a refusal and went available. Once back at the station, I helped Wertz restock both sets of gear and then ate my chicken while I did a few things on the computer. I then went to sleep at 02:00 hours and woke up at 07:56 hours when the phone rang and little Wertz was running back the hall to get it when I grabbed it. It was Kathy, John was going to be 30 to 45 minutes late as his alarm clock bettery died. I then clocked out at 08:15 hours when Wertz said that him and Brian would run as a MICU if they got anything until John got there. I then left at 08:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 13:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer and did a few things. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I got up there and Katina and Bill pulled in about 2 minutes after I did. Once inside the hall I turned on the back air conditoner and then put in the front one and turned it on and then plugged in the two fans to help move some air around. I then moved some things around and then we had the meeting. The meeting was over fairly quickly and then we all shot the shit outside afterwards. I left up there around 20:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a quick snack. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Pump Ops Class, Day 2
I went to bed last night around 01:15 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got up and ate breakfast while I read the comics and sports section. I then changed into street clothes and me and my father got in his truck and we left around 07:05 hours and headed up to the fire house. We got there and LeeAnn was the only one there so far. Then around 07:23 hours I went in the station and opened up the bay doors. Robby was coming up from his house, Lonny pulled in and then Bubba came up in his car. Bubba was driving up himself due to having to go to work tonight. We then left and headed up to Millersburg. We got up there around 08:00 hours and we went into the meeting room and had a quick brief about what we were going to do and then we got back in the trucks and headed up to the parking lot where the Weis Store is. We hooked up to the hydrant and Engine 20-1 hooked up to the hydrant. We then used hose that Millersburg provided us and deployed a 100' 1-3/4" line with a fog nozzle on the end. We then each took a turn at the pump panel and we rotated out as the hydrant man, back up man on the line and then the nozzle man. We each went through two times as we were great on time. After everyone was done, we cleaned everything up and then headed to the pond on Rising Sun Road that is visable from Route 25. We set up for drafting procedures. We then each took a turn pulling a draft and flowing water through the deck gun. Of course when it was my turn, Bubba and Robby decided to make it difficult for me. They put the combination nozzle from the portable deck gun on the pre-piped deck gun and then set up the portable deck gun and flowed water through there. Once everyone got a chance, we broke everything down and then headed back to Millersburg's station. Once there they fed us pizza, chips and Guers Iced Tea again, which was good. We then left to head back to the station. We ran up to Shell in Halifax and got fuel and then headed back to the station. Once there my father backed the Engine in and then I put my gear away and then the Tanker got back and backed in. I then put the Indian Tanks back in the Utility and then me and my father headed on home. We finished up quite early today, we left Millersburg at 13:00 hours this afternoon. Once at home I relaxed some and then took a shower. I am now doing a few things online before I leave to go into work tonight.

Pump Ops, Day 1
I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 06:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast while I read the comics and sports. I then changed into street clothes and I left in my car and my father left in his vehicle around 07:08 hours and headed up to the fire house. We got up there and LeeAnn was the only one there so far besides us. Robby them came over from the house and then Bubba came up. Lonny then pulled in followed by Troy and then Schoffstall. I then got my gear and went over to put it in the Engine. Troy was taking his truck up since he had to stop at Andy's house on the way back from class. So my father drove the Engine, I sat officers seat and Schoffstall and LeeAnn sat in the back. I sat my gear up front with me on the floor. Lonny drove the Tanker and Robby went with him. Bubba decided to go up with Troy so there would be some room on the Engine. We got up there and parked and then went inside and started the class. The class was very informative and I learn a lot from it and am looking foward to the practical sessions tomorrow. We then broke for lunch and they got us pizza and chips for lunch. After lunch we went back to book work and we got into formula's, which I really struggled with. We finished up a little before 16:00 hours and we left and headed back to the station. Once there Bubba had told my father to park the Engine outside and told us to bring a table dwon from the hall and set it up in the Engine bay. I took my gear off and put my note book and stuff in my car and opened the driver's side window to let some air in. Me and my father then brought a table down to the station. My father then left and headed on home. Then Bubba, Robby, myself, Troy, LeeAnn, Lonny and Schoffstall then we had a meeting about the new squad that is currently in the design phase. After the meeting, we put the Engine away and then I left there around 17:55 hours and headed on home. I am eating dinner right now and then am going to go take a shower. I am then going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Pool Fill on a Hot Day
I went to bed last night around 03:20 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I was then talking to my mother when Bubba called the house and said he was ready then to go fill the pool. So I changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house, I parked and went inside the station. Bubba was down at his house. Meanwhile I put my gear in and his gear in, and then put the pipe on the side of the Tanker. He then came up and we left a little after 14:30 hours and headed to the guys place. We got there and got set up and put one load in. He took a look at the pool and said he wanted another load. So we left to head into the pump house to fill up. We stopped at the hall so Bubba could use the restroom and then headed into the pump house. As we were pulling in the guy called Bubba's cell phone and told him that the liner in the pool just ripped and he wasn't going to need the second load. Bubba said that we would be back out to get the pipe and hose. We then got back to the station and I pulled the Utility out and we headed back to the guys house. Once there we picked up the hose and pipe and headed back to the station. When we were at the guys house, we noticed water coming out the back of the Utility. I told Bubba that it was probally one of the Indian Tanks that was leaking. Once back at the station I pulled both tanks out and looked at them. I then filled them up and sat them off to the side to see what they did over the next few days. My father then came up with the weed whacker. He had put a new head on it. Ruby then showed up to get her t-shirt and then we went up to the hall so Bubba could show her the hats. Me and my father went up so we could get our hats and Kenny came over and got a hat also. I then left and headed on home to cool down. Once at home I ate dinner while I did a few things online. I am soon going to head back up to Bubba's house to just hang out for a little bit. Once I get back I am going to take a shower and then hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
A Two-Seater Canoe
I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed at 05:22 hours when the fire pager went off for a medical assist in Jackson Township. I got up and quickly got dressed and then ran out and got in my car and took off for the station. I almost got up there and my father called me on my cell phone and asked me if I heard the address as he was going to the scene. I said it was on Cessna Drive, but I didn't catch the number and then we hung up. When I pulled in up at the fire house, no one was there yet. I looked down and Bubba's car was not sitting there. I then heard Command 29 talking on the pager about flying 2 out by chopper from Station 29. I parked and when I got out I didn't hear the Engine running. So I ran inside the station and turned on the lights and kicked off my shoes and got my bunker pants on. I grabbed my jacket and helmet and threw them in the Utility. I then got in the Engine and pulled it out and parked it in the lower lot. I then grabbed the med bag out of the back and ran up to the station. As I was heading up to the station, I heard Ray pull in. I then put the med bag in the Utility and about that time Bubba pulled in and parked beside the Engine. I then grabbed the med bag and gave that to Ray and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and ran down to the Engine. About that time LeeAnn pulled in and got in the Engine and off wer went. We got there and my father was already there in his truck. It was for seizrues and it ended up being downgraded to a class 3 and the girl signed off once 13-1 got there. We then left and headed back to the station. Once there, Ray left and headed on home and myself, Bubba, and LeeAnn talked for a little bit and then we all headed home. Once at home I went back to bed and then got up this morning around 10:30 hours as I could no longer sleep. I got out of bed and read the paper and then ate lunch while I did a few things online. I then got on the PS2 around 13:00 hours and played some NASCAR 2008. I then got off around 16:00 hours and made and ate dinner while I did a few things online. I then left the house around 17:10 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Robby was the only person there yet. I went up to the hall and used the restroom and then headed back down to the station and Bubba was now there. LeeAnn, Lonny and Troy were going to meet us at HACC so it was just the three of us going down on the Engine. Robin, Jess, Jaz, and Jefferey decided to head down also and brought along a cooler of water and ice for us. We left and Robby and Bubba decided to let me drive the Engine down to HACC. We stopped at Shell so Bubba could get something to munch on and I got a Guers half gallon Orange Drink. We then left and continued on down there. We got down there and then 4 guys frim Millersburg showed up. We helped Bubba, LeeAnn, and Lonny and the one girl from Millersburg go through the maze, first with lights on and no pack, then lights on and a pack, then lights off and a pack on. We then put everything away and then we took the 35' extension ladder off and set that up and went over the ladders with everyone. We then left around 21:10 hours and headed on home. We decided to stop at Hardee's in Dauphin so Bubba could get something to eat. I grabbed something to munch on and we decided to eat in. After we were done, we headed on back. I stopped at Shell and got fuel and then we headed back to the station. Once there I backed the Engine in and then put my gear away. Robby and LeeAnn then left and headed on home. as it was now past 23:00 hours. Dave then showed up and the three of us talked until past 24:00 hours and then we all left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now going to bed as I am tired.

Respitory Difficulties
I left the house around 19:10 hours last night and headed up to Lykens to go to work. When I left the house I called Ciao's and placed an order for pick up of a ham and cheese sub and a side order of 4 chicken fingers. Once up in Lykens I stopped at Ciao's and picked up my order and a 2 liter bottle of Fanta Orange Soda and then headed to the station. Once there Tim was outside smoking a cigar. I parked and grabbed my stuff and headed inside. John came walking out with his stuff to put in his car. I went inside and put my Gatorade bottle, Fanta, and Sub in the fridge and then clocked in. I then did a rig check on 6-7 and then went outside to talk to Tim and John. Tim told me that he didn't have a single call all day and that Bowser was on down in Eville. John clocked out a little early and headed on home. Then around 19:50 hours Tim said about sitting down to watch an episode of Emergency. So I put in Disc 2 and we watched an episode of Season 4 of Emergency, and I ate my 4 chicken fingers. After that one was over, Tim went out into the bay to smoke a cig. We had just come back in and sat down to watch another episode, when the tones went off for seizrues at the Wal-Mart in Washington Township. Yeager and Bowser took the call. After Tim heard the information, he said about taking a ride down there incase they needed any help. I told Tim that by the time we got down there, they would probablly already be loaded up and ready to head to the hospital. He said he knew but still wanted to head on down. So we got in 6-7 and headed on down class 3. As we pulled in the parking, lot Yeager put them enroute to Harrisburg Hospital. We turned around and Tim had me stop at McDonald's and he got a hot fudge sunday and I got a small vanilla milk shake and then we headed back to the Lykens Station. Once there we watched the second episode of Emergency. After that I put it away and watched some Deadlist Catch on TV while Tim played some Texas Hold 'Em on the computer. He then left and headed home around 23:10 hours. I then got on the computer and played some Texas Hold 'Em myslef while I ate my sub and finished my Fanta. I was going to sit down on the couch around 01:00 hours to watch the new episode of Deadlist Catch. Around 00:50 hours the tones went off for an unconscious person in Lykens Borough. I got in 6-7 and called Tim to make sure he heard the call. He said he did and I told him I was coming up the street. I picked him up at his house and went responding. County told us it was a male that was unconscious and barley breathing. When we got on scene, county told us that there was so0me confusion on the phone, that at first they thought it might have been a cardiac arrest, but then the wife said he was breathing but barley, and now they weren't sure and if we needed anyone else to let them know. I went around to the side of the unit and grabbed the BLS bag and the wife came to the door and said that he was barley breathing. I took off into the house and asked her where he was and she said in the bedroom and I asked her when she found him like this. She said that they were both in bed and he got up to use the bathroom and collpased back on the bed. When I walked into the bedroom, he was on his back and had aganol respirations. Tim came in as I was putting my gloves on and I checked for a pulse and he had one. Tim then told me to get the bag valve mask out. I started to and Tim said to grab his arms and move him to the ground and then we moved the bed out of the way. I started bagging the guy and I asked Tim if he wanted any help and he said yes. So he quickly called county on his cell phone and told them that he wanted fire and 6-3 to assist for respitory difficulties. I continued to bag him while they dispatched for MICU 6-3 and 22 to respond to assist. Chief 22 showed up and I asked him to get me another oxygen bottle out of 6-7 and bring it in. Tim had tried to tube him, but the guy ended upo swallowing it. Before he tried to tube the guy, hje had me put an oral airway in the guy. If I remember correctly, I think that might have only been my 3rd or 4th oral in almost 5 years of running EMS. Tim finally got a nasal tube in him and Chief 22 asked Tim if he wanted to fly the guy, and Tim said yes. We originally had the LZ set up at the L&W ball field. When we heard that Life Lion had a 7 minute eta we changed the LZ to the Upper Dauphin High School. We got the guy loaded into the Reeves stretcher and the fire company and Yeager carried him out and onto the stretcher and then loaded him into the back of 6-7. I then got in and we headed on down to the high school to the LZ. We got there just as Life Lion was making the fly over of the LZ. They got him loaded into Life Lion and off they went to Hershey. We then went back to the Eville station to clean up the back of 6-7 since it was a disaster. We got it cleaned up and I checked on supplies and put my supplies away that came in and then we left to head back up to Lykens. We stopped at Koppy's so Tim could get something to eat. I got an Orange popsicle and a small Pepsi. We then headed back up to Lykens. I stopped at the station and Tim grabbed a thing of morphine out of the bag in the cabinet in the station and put it in the med bag on the truck and then I ran him up to his house and then back to the station I went. I finally laid down and went to sleep around 03:24 hours. I woke up at 07:50 hours when the tones went off for a fall victim in Lykens Borough. As I was getting the stuff back on my belt, Steve called my cell phone and told me to meet him out front and we would take the call real quick. I finished putting the stuff back on my belt and then got my boots on. I heard the door close and someone get in the truck. I went out and it was Tim. I opened the day door and started the truck and put us responding and pulled out. Steve was walking up the sidewalk and I stopped as he point at Tim and told him to get out that he wasn't working anymore and to go home. Steve then got in and we headed to the scene. Once we got there I grabbed the BLS bag and we went inside. I turned out to be more of a public assist. Shultz then showed up, followed by Kathy. We then went available and headed back to the station. Me and Steve had just gotten out of the truck and Shultz and Kathy had just walked in when the tones went off for a fall victim, class 2 at the Keepler Home in Eville Borough. Shultz and Kathy took that call and off they went. I clocked out and did a quick chart on the public assist and then talked with Steve for a little bit and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around 13:01 hours. I got up and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played some NASCAR 2008. I got off at 16:50 hours and got on the computer to do a few things. I just finished eating dinner while watching MASH. I am soon going to go take a shower. I am then going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Hot as Hell Out
I went to bed last night around 03:45 hours last night and woke up this afternoon around 12:55 hours when Bubba called the house. He said that the lady that wanted the pool filled today, cancelled as she filled it with her hose. He said about still taking the tractor back down to Valley Ag & Turf and I told him I would be up in about 5 minutes. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house. I got there and went inside and sat down on the chair and started talking to Bubba about different things. I then got the tractor out of the old fire house and parked it in front of the Tanker bay door and washed it off. I then drove it down to Valley Ag & Turf while Bubba followed behind me in his Montaro. After we dropped it off we headed on back to the station. Once there he went back inside the station to work on some figures for the Squad and I headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and grabbed something to munch on. My mother then got home around 14:45 hours and I asked her how her father was doing and we talked for a little bit. I then got on the PS2 and played some NASCAR 2008. I got off at 16:55 hours and made and just finished eating dinner while I am watching MASH on TV. I am soon going to get ready to head to work tonight at Lykens.

Refusal
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:05 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper. Around 12:57 hours, the pager went off for a seizure patient in Halifax Township. I went back to my bedroom and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the "Barn". I got there and Bill was already there and had the bay door for 13-2 open. I parked and he put us responding as I got in the unit and off we went. We got there and Dohn was already there as he went to the scene. We have had this guy many times before. 6-1 got there and they checked the guy out and he ended up not wanting to go down to the hospital. So we got a refusal on the guy and then took him back up to his house and dropped him off and then we headed back to the station. Once there I logged my time in and took a quick glance at the blue prints for the new addition. They changed everything around from the plans we had drawn up when my father was still in. The big pile of dirt out back, Bill said they buried all the blacktop out back there and leveled it out. The third bay they are closing in as a confrecne room/storage room. Where the parking lot was they are building a meeting room that can hold 175 people. That is the extent of the renovations and additions to the building that I could see. I then left and headed on home. I got home a little after 14:00 hours and finished reading the paper once I changed. I then got on the PS2 and played some NASCAR 2008. I got off at 17:10 hours and got on the computer to do a few things. I just got off the cell phone with LeeAnn as she was asking me some questions for the Firefighter 1 test that her, Robby, and Troy are going to retake. I am soon going to eat dinner and then am going to take a shower. I am then going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Night 3 of the Festival
I went to bed Friday night around 03:00 hours and got up Saturday morning around 08:45 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then grabbed something quick to eat for breakfast and read the comics. My father and me then got in my car and we headed on down to Harrisburg for Pump Primers. I went down Cameron Street since it would be eaiser to get to where we normally park and when we passed the Farm Show, all the trucks were still sitting in the parking lot. We parked in the Paxton Fire House parking lot. We then walked down to Front Street. The trucks were still not there yet, but we figured they would be coming soon. So we walked down through the market area and we ran into Doug Snyder and started talking to him. Grimm then came up and hit me in the arm and we started talking also. Then I saw a nice looking lady walking towards us and I noticed she had a Fox 43 mic in her hand. She stopped and asked if she could interview one of us about what was going on. I punched Grimm's arm and we all started saying about him. Snyder said that he would hold Grimm's camera and papers as I was taking them out of his hand. Grimm then asked me to hold his hat and he went over. As he walked over Snyder said about him buying everyone a round of ice cream and I turned to Grimm and said about buying all of us a beer. He then came back and said he would foward the bill to Fox. We then heard the sirens in the distance and said goodbye and started down towards the river front so I could get pictures of the trucks as they came in. I got some very good pictures and then we walked back down through and I got some more pictures and we talked to a few people. We then went back up top and went back down through the flea market and to the apparatus that decided not to pump and just parked up in the park area and I took some more pictures. There was a lot of trucks this year and I thought there was a very good turn out. We then went through the flea market section. I got a L-Model Mack Book, a wood figure of Progress's Engine 32-1, the one that they are currently trying to sell, and some more pictures from Pete. We then left around 13:20 hours to head on home. We stopped at the Uni-Mart on Front Street so we could get something to drink and munch on and then we continued on home. I then stopped at Sheetz and got some gas and then headed on home. Once at home I sat the stuff I bought off to the side and then changed and headed up to the fire house around 15:00 hours. I got up there and parked and grabbed an organe drink out of the fridge in the station and headed up into the hall. I helped Bubba bring the beer in from his car and then started putting it in the coolers that we brought up from the hall. I then put trash bags in the cans outside and picked up any lose trash laying around. I then pulled the cars and tractor out of the old fire house and then went back inside and sat down to cool off a little bit. Then around 17:00 hours and after people started shwoing up, we started getting things outside again. My father got there around 18:00 hours with mom's fudge and then we finished setting things up. I then got two cheeseburgers before I got into my stand to prepare for the night. It turned out to be way slower then usual for a Saturday night and it had me worried about how much money we would make on the night. We ended up starting to shut down around 22:35 hours. I put my candy away and gave Jason my money box and then we started tearing stuff down and putting it down into the old fire house. After we got everything put away we brought the coolers of beer out. My father left a little bit before we brought the beer out and headed on home. We made $200 dollars less this year then we did last year on Saturday night. However, overall we made $1,700 and some more this year then we did last year. We then got down to business. I don't know how many Coors Lights I had last night, but it was a hell of a night. House set up Beer Pong inside the hall and people started playing. Then Robby came out and said about me and him having lawn mower races. I handed Bubba my beer and me and Robby took off running for the lawn mowers. Of course, he got the one that Valley Ag and Turf loaned us and I got ours, which has no get up and go like the new one. We started them up and off we went. Of course Robby won because he ahd the newer mower. We parked then and went back to drinking. Mandy and Jess left I think it was around 02:00 hours to go to another party. I then had a burger and then Robby came back out and I said I wanted a rematch but this time I get the newer mower. We went around once and came back and parked and went back to drinking. Comedy insured through out the night with a lot of stuff going on. Us trying to start the egg man;s small tractor that he left there overnight, to Troy pantsing Holly in the hall, the prank phone calling and the constant flow of ice fights. Everyone slowly started to leave and I left and headed home around 05:30 hours this morning. Once at home I told my mother how we did, put my cookies on a stick in the fridge and then went to bed to get some sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and then headed up to the fire house around 14:30 hours to start getting the tire shine on the trucks for the guy coming to take pictures. I got the tire shine on and as I finished, the sky did not look good. Bart and Tim from Londonderry then pulled in and Tim asked if I thought it was going to rain and about that time the sky opened up. A few minutes later, Dave and Holly pulled in and the five of us talked for awhile. They then left around 16:30 hours and then myself, Dave and Holly all left around 16:45 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and downloaded my pictures from yesterday. My father and me then headed back up to the fire house around 19:10 hours so he could install the software to print off of the copier. We then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Festival, Night #2
I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I got on the computer to do a few things online that I didn't finish last night. I then changed into street clothes and grabbed my mother's fudge and headed on up to the fire house. I got there and parked down by the old fire house and took the fudge up and put it in the fridge. Katina and LeeAnn were already there and I told them that the fudge in the clear container was for the help. As soon as I was done saying that, Katina had her hand out and I just handed her the container. I then put trash bags in the trash cans inside the hall and then moved the trash cans up from beside the station and put trash bags in them also. I then went around and picked up any trash I saw laying around from the previous night. When I was done with that I went up into the kitchen and sat around and talked as Kenny had now come over. Then around 15:20 hours I decided to run home. Once at home I picked up my checks from 6 and 13 and ran into town and cashed them and then came home. Once at home I sorted my money and then headed back up to the fire house. Once there I pulled the tractor and cars out and pulled them around front. Schoffstall then showed up and around 17:15 hours we started taking stuff outside and setting up. My father came up tonight to help and he worked in the cake wheel. Tonight was really good and the crowd was pretty big. I know bingo was packed and outside there were people sitting in chairs behind my stand. We made out pretty good tonight also. We made $2,000 and some for tonight, compared to $900 and some last year on Friday night. Again I left there a little after midnight and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

A Quiet Day and Night 1
I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:30 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and camera and took them out to the dinning room. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside and as soon as I walked in the door, Tindell blasted me about where we landed Life Lion Tuesday afternoon for that motorcycle accident. He also questioned our S.O.G's about the Engine leaving the scene to go set up the LZ. I told him that I thought everything was handled the way it should be and then clocked in and went out and did my rig check. Jim then came in and I ate breakfast. Flipper then called around 08:10 hours and asked about going to breakfast. Jim said he was ready now and that we would meet at Special Place in about 20 minutes. He then had a talked with Tindell about what I don't know as I stepped out of the room and into the bay's. We then left and headed on down to Special Place. Flipper was the only one there as Stutzman and Enders had both already eaten breakfast. I got a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. After breakfast we ran down to the Eville station. Once there I checked supplies and made a list of supplies that I had to order once we got back up to Lykens. I then went in and talked to Steve about a few supply issues and about Tindell jumping me as soon as I walked in the door. Me and Jim then left and headed up to the Library so he could meet his wife and pick up a package. We then ran up to his house in Gratz and then back to the station in Lykens. Once back at the station I put the hospital fax numbers in the fax machine up there and then put my order of supplies in and then checked a few things online. I ate lunch around 13:00 hours and then around 14:00 hours Jim wanted to go over to Don's to get something to eat for lunch for himself. So we took 6-7 and went over there and then came back and I went into the bathroom. While I was in there, the tones went off for an accident with entrapment in Lykens Township. I quickly finished up and we got in 6-7 and off we went. By this time it was pouring outside, but by the time we got to Loyalton, the rain had stopped. It ended up being confinment with minor injuries and we knew the BLS truck was coming as we saw them coming up to the light in Loyalton. Jim advised county that the BLS truck would handle and we were available. We got on the scene and the lady did a good job on the car. She ran off the right side of the road and somehow when she hit the bank that led to a driveway, she turned the car 180 degrees and landed on the other side of the driveway backwards. They got her out and loaded into 6-4 and off they went to the hospital. We then headed down to Eville so Jim could go to the safety committee meeting. We got there and they had bbq chicken sitting in a bowl on the table. Here Stutzman and Enders had made bbq chicken right before the call came in. Kahty the showed up for the meeting. I had a half of a chicken and then Kathy had made a peanut butter pie and I had a piece and boy was it good. After the meeting was over I sat around for a bit and then around 16:30 hours Jim said about heading back up to Lykens and we got in 6-7 and off we went. We got up there and I got back on the computer to do a few things. I then got off and sat down and watched TV around 19:00 hours. Kuntz then came in and Jim then left around 20:30 hours. Shortly after that I called down to Ciao's and ordered 3 slices of pizza and a side order of chicken tenders. Me and Kuntz then got in 6-7 and I headed on down to Shell on the other end of Lykens and got fuel and a soda for myself. We then stopped at Ciao's and I picked up my food. I then ran over to the library so Kuntz could drop 4 books off and then I stopped at Tower Mini Mart and picked up a bag of chips and then we headed back to the station. Once there I ate dinner while I watched Mythbusters on TV. Kuntz then laid down around 21:30 hours and then went to sleep around 22:20 hours while I watched TV. I then got on the computer around 23:00 hours and went to sleep around 24:00 hours. Around 02:00 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Jackson Township at the peeping tom's place on the road above us. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I got up at 07:30 hours and got the stuff back on my belt and put my pillow away. Kuntz left and then Jim came in a few minutes later. As soon as John got there, they got in 6-7 and headed on down to Eville. I clocked out and then got in my can and headed to Eville. I stopped at the Shell in Eville and picked up an apple juice to drink and a copy of the Sentinel with my pictures on the front page of the fire in Williamstown. Once there I did my time sheet for the pay period and then got in my car and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and left around 14:00 hours and headed up to the fire house to see what needed to be finished before tonight. I got up there and parked and went inside the hall. Katina was there and then a few minutes later LeeAnn showed up outside the the tractor and the ice cream and brought it inside. Dave then showed up and Kenny came over. We then went down to the old fire house and loaded the soda trough in the back of Dave's truck and then moved the chicken rack outside and pulled the cars down. I then moved the boxes of t-shirts and hats from the front of the old fire house to the fire house like Bubba asked me to do. We moved them over to the front of the fire house and I hosed them down. Dave had to run to Valley Ag & Turf to pick up a pin to hook the cars up to the tractor. Kenny then went up and washed out the trough and wiped down the stands. I then decided to mow the grass and LeeAnn started to whack weeds, but the weed whacker ran out of fuel, so she couldn't finish. While I mowed, Dave set up the ramp on the stage and got the boards and wheels on the cake wheel and the candy wheel. Jason then showed up and started working on the tarp on the stage. I then grabbed Kenny and had him help me set up the post for the dice wheel. People then started showing up in droves. Bubba then got back and came up and went through the t-shirts to make sure they were all there. Then me and Schoffstall moved the dice wheel out and put that up. We then started setting things up and then the band got there and started setting up. As it got closer to starting time, Bubba called the active members outside and went down the apparatus list of who was on what if we got a call. I was on the Engine regardless if we got a call inside or outside of our township. We then went inside and had a group meeting. Jess said about there being no cakes for the cake wheel yet and she said about running into Giant and buying some cakes. People started giving her money for cakes. I gave her a $10.00 and told her I didn't want change and to buy whatever. I then set up my stand and got my candy out and put ice in the cooler and then headed out to my stand. Shortly thereafter, Amanda called me cell phone and asked about getting the Engine moved so they could get in. I said about going around the back of the church and she said that there were two cars there. So I called over to Jason and told him and he went down and moved the Engine. I then called Bill over to watch my stand while I ran inside and got two cheeseburgers. It was pretty good tonight, we had a decent crowd of people. I had 8 people win at my stand, including the big prize for the night. The band stopped a little after 22:00 hours and we started shutting down. I got my wheel and wrappers down and inside and then took the candy down to the fridge in the fire house and emptied out the cooler and took that into the hall. I then helped Robby take the dice wheel inside the hall and then helped carry a few boxes of glasses inside. We then went down into the station and Bubba handed out the t-shirts that everyone ordered. I then helepd with other misc. things and made sure all the trash was out and then we locked up the hall to count money. We did better this year for the first night then we did last year. I made $2.00 and some cents less then I did last year, but I was pretty much close to even, plus with last night, I already paid of the candy that I bought. We then talked and then put away a few leftover stuff away and then I headed home around 24:00 hours. Once at home I talked to my mother and then took a shower and am going to bed soon as I am tired.

Motorcycle Accident with Flyout
I went to bed around 03:30 hours last night and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then grabbed something to eat for breakfast and then headed up to the fire house to meet the Guers Tea Guy. I ran down to the fire house and printed out an list of what everyone got and then headed back up to the hall. The guy showed up around 07:35 hours. He unloaded all of the tea and brought it inside the hall. Bill had texted me right as the guy got there and asked if the tea was there yet and I told him the guy just got there. Shortly after the guy left, Bill showed up. He helped me move tea around and then I stacked most of it in the fridge in the back room. I then took my case of half gallon orange drinks and LeeAnn's case 2 and a half cases, and David's 2 cases down to the fridge in the fire station. Once I got all the tea put away I headed on home and went back to bed. I slept for about an hour and then Flap from Berrysburg called my cell phone. They agreed to do the March 13th, Executive Board Meeting. I then tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't. So I got up at 10:30 hours and told my mother that I was ready to head up to Wal-Mart. So I changed into my street clothes again and she got dressed and then we grabbed a cooler and got in my car and headed up to Wal-Mart. She got a few things and then I got the candy for the candy wheel. We then left there and headed on back. I stopped at the fire house and put the candy in the fridge in the fire house. I then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then left around 12:45 hours and headed up to the fire house. Dave and Bubba were in the fire house. I talked to both of them for a little bit and then Dave left and I went up into the hall to get the candy sorted out and get a strip of each piece of candy emptied to put on the board in the stand. Bubba came up while I was doing that and went into the back room and I then heard him ask if I wanted to go along with him. I asked him if he was talking to me and he said yes. I asked him to where and he said up to Swab's to get the new price for the Squad. He also said about dropping the fasut's tea off at the farm. I said sure I would go. Kenny then came over and I asked him to take the candy down to the fridge in the fire house and just hang out and get the sutff ready to wash the rigs until we got back. We got in Lonny's truck and then headed up to the Faust farm. We dropped the tea off and then headed up to Swab's. We got there and went into Tony's office and Tony and Bubba were going over things. Then at 13:52 hours both our pagers went off for an accident with injuries on Mountain House Road. We went running out to the truck and got in and took off. We went to the scene. Bubba beeped Jason and told him to put his gear and my gear on the Engine. I then said about Kenny being at the station. I called the station and told Kenny to make sure our gear was on there. We got on the scene and a motorcycleist had taken the turn to fast and side swiped the side of a dump truck. He hit the rim on the rear dulleys and bent the rim up pretty good. We went down to the scene and there was a nurse there and she yelled up that he had a compound fracture. I got down to him and his ankle was flopping around when ever his leg was moved around. Rescue 21 got there and then 6-4 got there and we got the foor splinted and then Steve showed up and then 6-5 showed up with Tindell. They ended up flying the guy out. The engine got on the scene and turned right around to head down to the Faust Farm to set up the LZ for Life Lion. Jason was driving the Engine and Ray was inthe officers seat. In the back was Kenny and Schoffstall. Jean and Michelle Casey were there with the fire police. After we got everything cleaned up, we headed back to the station. I put my windows up in my car as it looked like it was going to rain any minute. I then pulled the Utility out and the pressure washer and the Engine pulled up. I pointed Jason down to the lower lot to park. I then went over to the Engine and got my gear and put it away. Once Kenny got Bubba's gear in the station, the sky opened up and it poured. Lonny then showed up and talked for a little bit. He then left along with Ray, Schoffstall, Bubba and Jason. It then stopped raining and me and Kenny washed the Utility. I then took a quick break and then backed the Utility in and then we wased the Engine. Kenny then went up to the house since Helen was now home. Before I washed the Utility, Robby showed up to take the Tanker up to fill a pool. He then came back while we were finishing up the Engine and took his son over to the house as his mother was coming to pick the kids up. I then put the Engine away and then me and Robby talked a little bit. I then brought all the boxes of glasses up from the old fire house to the hall. LeeAnn then showed up and I told her what still needed done and that I was heading home to eat dinner and then had to get my hair cut. I then headed home around 18:01 hours. Once at home I ate dinner and then I headed into town around 19:45 hours. I got my hair cut and then ran up to Sheetz and got gas. I then stopped at Giant and got 5 strips of Crunch bars, some chesse and a gallon of Diet Iced Tea. I then headed back out to the fire house. When I got there, everything was closed up and everyone was gone. So I dropped of the Crunch bars and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.
Lots of Calls
I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together and then left around 07:28 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and pulled in and there were no cars there. Tim then pulled in behind me and we went inside and no one was there. I made a comment about it to Tim and he said that John went home early and it was a long story that was hard to explain. I then put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and did a rig check on 6-7. I then came in and filled the proper form out online and then checked a few things online. Tim took a nap while I was online. Then around 11:00 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Wiconisco Township. We got in 6-7 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. While we were down there, Beef got hit to go to Millersburg for a call. After we got what we needed, we headed on back to Eville. Right before we got there, 13 got hit for a sick person call. We listend to the dispatch info and county said the caller thought the patient needed an IV because she was dehydrated. Once at Eville I helped Tim restock and then checked the suppiles and made a list up of stuff I needd to order. Just as I was ready to get on the computer the tones went off for us to head to Halifax Township to assist 13-2 with their sick person call. I ran Tim down there and right before I dropped him off, 13 got hit for another call in Jackson Township to assist PSP with an unknown problem. Well 6-3 ended up getting hit and I called Stutzman on the private channel and told him I would come out and help them since I thought the address sounded familiar. By the time I got to Armstrong Street, PSP put them in service. I then headed back to the station and then got on the computer and put my order in and then played a game or two. Beef them got back and asked me about 10 droppers. I told him I was not happy with Tri-Anim as I had put the order in Tuesday night and the stuff still was not here yet. Tim then called me and said that they were on their was back from Harrisburg. I then went out and got in 6-7 and about that time the tones went off for a bicycle accident in Jackson Township. I told Stutzman that they might as well head on down that way as 13 was not going to get another unit out. I also told him that I would follow down to help them out and then head down to pick Tim up. Beef had put Life Lion on stand by due to the guy have altered mental status. However, by the time we got there, the guy was back to normal as far as his mental status. When I pulled in behinn 6-4, I saw Lyle, Lonny, and Jason Faust all there. I helped get the guy boarded and Beef stood down Life Lion. I then headed on down to Sheetz and picked up Tim at Shell as 13-2 had to get fuel. I then ran over to Sheetz and grabbed something to eat for lunch and ran into Thomas there and he asked me how my day was going so far and I said busy. I then took tim out to the squad like Beef asked me to. We then headed back to the Eville station since Beef and 6-4 were headed down to Hershey Hospital with the guy. Once back I helped Tim restock and then got on the computer to go back to playing my game. Then around 16:30 hours I believe it was the tones went off for a sick person in Northumberland County in Klingerstown for BLS only. About 15 minutes later, Tim came in the computer room and asked me if I was coming and I asked him if we were heading back up to Lykens and he said no to Klingerstown as BLS called for ALS for cardaic symptom. We got in 6-7 and took off for Klingerstown. Once I dropped him off I headed back to Lykens and once there I took about an hour nap until Tim called and said he was heading back to Dalmatia station. I then got everything back on my belt and my boots on and then got in 6-7 and headed to Dalmatia's station to pick Tim up. Once they got there I moved Tim's gear over and then we headed back to Eville. Once there I again helped him restock and then we left and headed back up to Lykens. Once there Tim laid down on the couch and took another nap. I got on the computer and checked a few things and then watched TV around 21:00 hours while I ate dinner that I had packed for lunch. Tim then got up and called in a pizza for himself at Ciao's. We then headed down there and he got that and then I stopped at Tower Mini Mart and grabbed something to munch on later that night. We then stopped at Steve's house and talked to him for quite a bit about what happened during the week he was gone on vacation. We then headed back to the station and Tim started to eat dinner while I put in disc 2 of Season 4 of Emergency. About 10 minutes later the tones went off for neck pain, class 1 in Lykens. We got in 6-7 and off we went. We got there and we had to use the back door, and you had to go through an alley that was barely as wide as I am. We ended up calling for the fire department to assist with extrication assistance. We got the lady loaded up and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed we headed on back. I stopped at Sheetz so Tim cold get some coffee and then we continuned back to Eville. Once there I restocked on my BLS supplies and then helped Tim finished up and then we left and headed back to Lykens. Once there, he left and headed on home and I went to sleep around 02:00 hours. I got up at 07:45 hours when my alarm went off. Stutzman was already there. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on. I then put my pillow away and took my suitcase and lunchbox out to my car. Tracey then showed up and the four of us got talking. Then around 08:05 the tones went off for a call in Williamstown Borough. I then clocked out and headed on down to Eville. Once there I filled out my time card and then put the supplies away that I found out had been locked in the front office since Thursday, and I was not happy about that. I then grabbed my check and headed on home. Once at home I changed intp my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I then got up this afternoon around 14:00 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. Bubba then called me and asked if I wanted to help him fill a pool and I said yeah I would be up. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the station. I went down to his house and he came out after a few minutes and then he said about running up to Eville to pick up some supplies for the festival. He pulled the Tanker out and then I pulled the Utility out and went over and hooked up to the trailer then we headed up to Eville. We stopped at Koppy's first so he could talk to the Guer's delivery guy that was there. We then went down to Klinger's and picked up a sheet of plywood. We then headed to Kratzer's and picked up supplies and then headed back to the station. Once there we loaded hose and the pipe on the Tanker and then our gear and headed to Mountain House Road to fill this pool. It took 2 loads and after we were done with the second load, we ran up to Shell and got fuel and then headed back to the station. Once there I put our gear away and took off 3 sections of hose and left 2 sections on there. We then went up and had the meeting. There were not a lot of people at the meeting, I thin mostly due to work. After the meeting we went outside to do some more stuff with the festival. Myself and House hung lights up on the stage and put the back tarp on. We then helped Bubba put two lights up over by the Candy Wheel and Dice Wheel. We then moved the trailer over to the front of Troy's trailer and then we put the trucks away and I headed home around 22:50 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Last Minute Call
I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off, I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my breakfast and hot dogs and buns and then got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then put my suitcase behind the one couch and saw that both Yeager and Tracey were awake. I then clcoked in and they both got up. Tim then came in and the 4 of us talked for a little bit and then they both left. I then did a rig check on 6-7 and told Tim that I had brought hot dogs up with me to do on the grill and I just needed to get burgers and buns from Wal-Mart then at some point in the day. He then checked his gear and then I got on the fire company's computer since the internet on our computer is still not working. I played some Texas Hold'Em on the computer. Around 10:30 hours the tones went off for a call in Northumberland County. Jim took that in the squad. Then around 12:30 hours Tim said he had to run down to Wal-Mart to make a money order out. So we got in 6-7 and headed on down to Wal-Mart. Once we got down there he went to do his money order and I went and got 4 angus burgers, some buns, cheese, and a bag of chips and then we headed over to McDonald's and I grabbed 5 chicken strips, fries and a drink to eat for lunch and we headed back to Lykens. Once there I put in the disc and we watched two episodes of Season 4 of Emergency. After we were done watching them, I got back on the computer and played some more poker while Tim worked on his charts from Tuesday night. Then around 18:00 hours I went outside and started the grill up and made the hot dogs and cheeseburgers. We then went inside and ate dinner while Tim watched TV and I played some more poker. Then around 19:20 hours the tones went off for ALS to meet Northumberland Ambulance 62 at Koppy's in Eville for pain management, and Jim took that in the squad and went to Harrisburg Hospital. Then around 21:00 hours, I put the disc back in and we watched another episode of Season 4 of Emergency. After we were done watching that, Tim went back to working on his charts and I watched Dirty Jobs on TV. Tim left to head home around 00:20 hours. I then laid down in bed and went to sleep. Then around 00:47 the tones went off for a call in Elizabethville Borough. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. Naturally I woke up a few times during the night to go to the bathroom. The around 07:43 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Williams Township. I called Tim and told him and he said that he was standing outside. I told him I would open the bay door in a minute. I the quickly got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then grabbed my pack and opened the bay door and got in 6-7 and went responding. We got up there and once 24 got the lady loaded up I moved Tim's gear over to 24-2 and then I headed on back to Lykens. Once I got back John and Kuntz were already there. I got my stuff together and gave John the rig report, talked to Kuntz for a little bit and then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I then got up this afternoon around 12:34 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to do some work in the old firehouse. I got up there and opened the old fire house up. I them moved some of the stands out of the way so I could get underneath and sweep and go through the wood there. I took a few pieces out to beside the old fire house that are not good any longer. I then swept up and put everything back. I then went through the box of wires that I brought down from Medic 6. I then went through the two pillow cases that had stuff in. I then closed up and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now eating dinner. I am then going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Vegetable Oil Spill
I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 12:30 hours when Bubba called my cell phone to ask me a question. I talked to him for a little bit and then got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to do some work in the old fire house. I got up there and went inside and started cleaning out the back corner by the rear door. My father then pulled in and I helped him move the fryer out to the tailgate of his truck so he could work on it. I went over into the fire house and grabbed a dust pan and small broom for me to use and an extension cord for my father and headed back over. He finished with it while I was working on the table in the back. I helped him move it back inside and then he headed on home. I then moved the two portable pumps from up front back and put them under the table in the back. While I was doing that, 29 got hit to held Chief 29-2 with fluids on the roadway in front of Fetterhoff's Church. After about 20 minutes, they hit for our fire police to help with traffic control. I called Bubba and asked him if he wanted me to take the Utility and he said that was fine and to also grab the road signs and a few bags of oil dry and take up also. So I locked the old fire house up and then got my gear on and pulled the Engine out. I then put the signs in the back and then put two bags of oil-dry up front along with my jacket and helmet. I then pulled the Utility out and went responding and then backed the Engine in and got back in the Utility and took off. I got to Snyder and Armstrong Valley Road's and Troy was there along with Lee Warfel and Jean. I told Troy to grab one of the signs out of the back of the Utility and then I headed on down to the scene. Once there I talked to Tom and then pulled in beside Utility 77 and dropped off the two bags of oil-dry and our roll of plastic sheeting. I then headed back up to where Lee was. Jean headed on down to Snyder and Rutter Roads. I then helped Lee direct traffic. Then around 19:15 hours they dispatched for the Tanker to come to the scene so they could put CAFS on the vegetable oil on the road way to help the clean up company. It ended up being 1,000 gallons of vegetable oil that was on the roadway. We finally opened up the roadway around 20:45 hours. I took the sign down and put it in the back of the Utility and then headed into Station 29 to pick up the stuff I had dropped off. I got there and picked up the roll of plastic, and the barrel of pigs that my father had taken down to them at one point. I then ran over to Shell and got fuel. The Tanker then came from getting water at the pump house and they fuled up and then Engine 29-1 also came in to get fuel. I then headed on back to the fire house. I guess the Tanker crew went back to Station 29 to eat the food that they had made and then came back. Once back at the station I put my gear away and then the bag of oil dry that 29 gave me and then I put the barrel of pigs away and then finally the road signs. I then made out a report and by that time the Tanker was back. They then put foam in and then we all left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then got something for dinner. I am soon going to bed now as I am tired.

Cardiac Arrest and Working Structure Fire
I left the house around 19:10 hours and headed on up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Shell in Lykens and picked up a soda and two popsicles. I got to the station and parked and went inside and saw that 6-7 was gone. I put my stuff in the fridge and then grabbed a pager and clocked in. Tim and Kathy then got back and Tim called down to Caio's and ordered dinner and then walked down and picked up his sub while me and Kathy talked. Tim had made the comment that Kathy ran all BLS calls all day long and Tim did not have any ALS calls at all during the day. Kathy left around 20:30 hours and headed on home. Me and Tim then sat down and I put Disc 1 of Season 4 of Emergency in the DVD played and we started watching an episode. Then around 21:05 hours the tones went off for a fainting at the Williams Valley High School. I grabbed my scope and fanny pack and got in 6-7 while Tim puffed on a smoke. I put us responding and county came back and said that it was now to be a cardiac arrest. Tim threw his cig out the bay door and grabbed the cell phone and laptop and jumped in the truck and I pulled out, shut the bay door and then we were gone. Once we got out of the borough and on Route 209, it was flat to the floor as we are only 8 miles I believe from the High School. We got there just behind Ambulance 24-1. I parked and Tim grabbed his med bag and I grabbed the monitor and we headed into the gym. The fact that it happened while the guy was playing basketball and that it happened at the school was a big boon to him. The bystanders at the gym grabbed the school's AED and and they shocked him once and they got a rythmn back on him. Tim started doing his thing and I started hooking the monitor up to the guy. Bowser and Bruce then came in and helped in any way that they could. Tim then had Captain Carol call for Life Lion and they landed in the field right in front of the high school, so the guy did not have to go far to get his ride. After Life Lion took off, we cleaned the gear up and then headed back. We stopped at Lykens and I grabbed my hat and something to drink and then we headed on down to Eville. Tim had me stop at Koppy's so he could get some more cigs and then we went to Eville. I checked supplies and restocked what needed to be restocked and put an order in. Bowser helped Tim restock his gear and then we left and headed on back up to Lykens. I stopped at Koppy's now and grabbed some chocolate milk and something to snack on for later on in the night and then headed back up to Lykens. Once there we finished the episode of Emergency that we were watching and then we started another episode. I ate my two popsicles while we watched the episode. Then at 00:49 hours the tones went off for a structure fire with possible enrtrapment in Williamstown Borough. About that time the house siren started going off. Tim ran out and grabbed his gear while I popped all three doors open. We both got in 6-7 and off we went. County advised us of multiple calls and that someone was still to be inside. County then came back and said thai it was possibaly a suicide attempt as the guy was supposed to be holding a gun. The one neighbor kicked the front door and and told the guy he had to get out and the guy told the nieghbor to leave and get out of there. We pulled in behind Ambulance 24-1 and I want to tell you what, the place was off and it was spreading to the exposure on Side D. I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures as I walked up to the front of the structure. Meanwhile you heard the live power line arching off the street and there was two of Williamstown's guys standing about 5 feet from the line. Tim ended up taking the mother from the other half of the duplex up to Pottsville on 24-1. 24-2 then took the daughter up to Pottsville. Once Tim got back we went available on the scene, but stayed to offer any help we could. The guy in the half of the duplex that was fully involved was of course dead. About an hour after we went available on the scene, the tones went off for breathing problems in Williamstown Borough. Me and Tim got in 6-7 and we took off for the scene. They headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital and I headed back up to the scene. It ended up being a second alarm fire. Along with us, Williamstown EMS and Williamstown Fire Company, the following fire companies were there: Wiconisco, Lykens, Eville, Millersburg, Berrysburg, Sheridan, Tower City, Muir, and Reinerton. Gratz stood by at Station 22. Joillet stood by at Station 24. Engine 29-1 and Perry Tanker 2 stood by at Station 21. Needless to say it was a long night and I never made it to bed last night. I left he scene around 05:30 hours and headed back to Lykens. I got there and the Gratz crew was there and we talked until Tim got back and then I helped him restock his gear. Gratz then got released and Truck 22 got back and he helped them clean stuff up. Shutlz then got in and I clocked out and then Tindell and the four of us talked. Before Tindell got there me and Tim also talked to both John and Jeff Shultz. I then got in my car around 08:30 hours to headed on home and the house siren went off for a rekindle already at the scene. It was held to Tanker 24 right after Truck 22 went responding. I then left and headed on down to Eville. Once there I got the times from the structure fire and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to try and get some sleep. I only ended up sleeping for 2 hours as I went to bed around 09:45 hours and was up around 12:45 hours. I got up and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and downloaded the pictures from the fire last night and got them posted online and emailed to whoever asked for them. I then ate dinner and then headed into town to get iced tea and chips for me. I then stopped at the fire house and did my weekly med checks on the gear and then Bubba and Robby got back from the Township Meeting. They had taken the Utility up to the meeting. I talked to Bubba and then he put the Tanker away and I went down to there house as the kids came back from the store with fire works and asked if I would stay and watch them with them. I did and talked with Bubba and Troy and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am really tired.

Hanging Posters
I went to bed last night around 01:45 hours after I finished reading my book on the FDNY Super Pumper System. I got up this morning at 09:45 hours as I could not get back to sleep. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then read the paper. My mother then got dressed and left and headed up to Eville to pick up April's medication and stop at Wal-Mart to pick up some things. I the ate lunch while I played NASCAR 2008 on the PS2. I then helped my mother bring in the food when she got home. I then got saran wrap and some yarn and headed up to the fire house a little after 12:00 hours. Once there I grabbed the masking tape out of the fire station and headed up to the hall. Once there I grabbed the festival posters and wrapped 6 of them in saran wrap and put yarn on 4 of them. I then put the stuff in the Utility and grabbed the staple gun out of the closet and put that in the Utility also. I then grabbed my gear and put that in the back of the Utility. I then called Bubba to check that it was still ok for me to take the Utility and he said it was ok and that he was coming up to the fire house. I then opened up the Engine bay door and I heard Bubba come in the back door and prop it open. He then opened up the Tanker bay door. I then went up and got Kenny and then when I got back down I pulled the Engine out and then pulled the Utility out after Kenny put his gear in the back of it. I then backed the Engine back in. Bubba had told me to bring Kenny back around 15:00 hours to help Troy with a 22,000 pool that we were filling. Robby then came over and Bubba told me that Robby was going with Troy and to not worry about brining Kenny back. We then stopped at Armstrong Valley Road and hung one up on the telephone pole. I then stopped at Gonder's and hung one up there. We then headed up to Eville and hung one each at Klinger Lumber, the Libaray, and Fisher's Auto Parts. We then went back over the mountain and we stopped at Keiffer's and Hoffman's and hung one there. We then stopped at Valley Ag, and Armstrong Fitness. We then ran into town and hung posters up at he following stores, Ture Value, Sweigarbd Brothers, the chicken shack, the laundry mat,, Tab's Nu-U, and Beer and Soda Plus. I also hung them up at the stop signs at both ends of 4th street, the telephone pole at 3rd and Armstrong Streets, and the stop sign at 2nd and Armstrong Streets. I also hung one up at the stop sign on the road beside Beer and Soda plus. I then stopped at Rite Aid and dropped off a perscription and then picked it up once it was filled. We then headed up to Shell and I got fuel and something to drink. We then headed on back to the station. Kenny opened the Tanker bay door since Troy and Robby were already gone with the Tanker and I backed the Utility in. I put my gear back in my stall and put the staple gun back in the closet and then headed on home. I am eating dinner right now and am soon going to get ready to go to work at Lykens tonight for a 12 hour shift.
