The Nipple Biter

I left the house last night at 19:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got there and Bubba and LeeAnn were in the fire house and had the Tanker bay door open. I went in and made a copy of the times for the shed fire in Halifax on the 27th and then Bubba handed me the responder list for August already, I guess he figures were not going to get another call before the end of the month. Lonny then came in and we talked to him some and asked him how his back was feeling and he said good. We left their house around 20:00 hours. Lonny drove the van and Bubba rode up front. Then in the first bench seat it was Robin and Martha. Then Schoffstall and myself in the next one, then LeeAnn had the third bench seat to herself and Jess and Tonita were in the rear bench seat. Before we left the fire house, I grabbed Schoffstall to Lagers and 7 bottles of Coors Light, 2 for me, 2 for Jess, 2 for LeeAnn and 1 for Tonita. We then made a quick stop at Shell and then continued on our way. Lonny dropped us off and then ran down to the mud bog to pick up Troy. I went in and used the restroom and then got a Coors Light and order chicken fingers and a small fry. I then put my songs in and let the fun being to unfold. I sang 3 times, my regular warm up song Ring of Fire, then me and Bubba tried Ray Steven's "The Streak" and then me, Bubba and Lee sang "Honk Tonk". Me and Jess danced once and Tonita and LeeAnn danced beside us and they kept poking us and I think it was LeeAnn that grabbed Jess's right breast. Jess said to me that they grabbed her boob. I said I know, but I couldn't. She then tried to bite my breast/nipple and she actually bit me a little bit above it. About a minutes later they grabbed her breast again, and again she tried to bite me again, but again was a little to high. But oh my god did I ever have a blast up there. It has been at least three months since all of us have been up there and we didn't leave anything at home. It felt great to be back up there and back up singing. I don't know how many I had at the bar, I know I had two coming over, but after that, I lost count. I figure it had to be either 10 or a a few over 10. Lonny took Troy back to the mud bog around 01:45 hours and then came back by the time we were ready to leave. We left Shade around 02:05 hours and got in the van and headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Lonny could put gas in the van. I took that time to throw the bag of bottles away and then went inside to use the bathroom, as did Schoffstall and Martha. We then all got back in the van and headed back to the fire house. Once there Martha got out and then I did and then Schoffstall. I then held my hand out and helped Jess, Tonita, LeeAnn and Robin out. I heard Jess say about moving out of the way as she had to pee. After I helped Robin out, I heard Tonita say "Jess!" and went around to the other side of the van. Jess was taking the opportunity to go to pee beside the van. Lonny got out and thought she fell and gave her his hand and she told him that she didn't fall, she was peeing. She then got up and almost fell over and I grabbed her. Tonita then gave her a hoodie and she got in Tonita's car and they headed on home, as did LeeAnn as they were going to the mud bog today. I headed on home and went to bed around 03:10 hours. I woke up this afternoon at 12:05 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper and watched the Penn State game on the Big Ten Network, which we now get. At halftime I went back to my room to watch the second half while I did some cleaing of stuff in my filing cabinet. Now that the Olympics are over, I now turn to my College Football watching Marathon. I watch College Football on the weekends and I usually don't care who is playing. I just started doing this last year and it kind of grew on me. Well Penn State beat Costal Carolina, 66-10 I believe. I took a quick shower while dinner was being cooked and I then ate dinner while I did some typing on my computer. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Penn State Beats Notre Dame

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours again after reading Dave Houseal's latest book for about an hour. I got up this afternoon at 12:25 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of College Football. I played Notre Dame. After the first quarter, the score was 14-7, Penn State. I thought I was going to be in for a rough game. However, I finished my scoring drive in the first minute of the second quarter and from that moment on, it was a blow out. The final score was 132-59, Penn State. While I was playing, Bubba called the house and we talked a little bit and he told me that David called him and that the contract for the Squad was in the mail. He then called me back about 10 minutes later to ask me a question about something on the computer. I got off the PSw around 17:25 hours. I am now eating dinner and then am going to get ready to head up to the fire house to go to Shade Mountain tonight. I am really excited as it has been at least 3 months since I was last up there. I will get back sometime early tomorrow morning so I won't be on again tonight.

A Relaxing Day

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours after reading a few chapters in Dave Houseal's latest book. I woke up this afternoon around 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things and I munched on a pack of crackers until dinner time. I am now eating dinner and once I am done, I am going to go grad a quick shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Two Shed Fires in Two Days

I went to bed Monday night around 02:30 hours and got up Tuesday morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. At 15:40 hours, the fire pager went off for a shed fire on Deitrich Road in Jackson Township. I pasued my game and ran over to my room and got dressed and then got in my car and took off for the fire house. I got up there and pulled in and my father was closing his tailgate. He went over and tried to get in the station and the front door was locked. He said that they ran inside and never opened a bay door. I unlocked the back door and went in. Robby, Matt Hamilton, and Kenny were getting gear on and I yelled to Kenny for someone to open a bay door so my father could get in, which he did. I then kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and went around to the front of the Tanker. Robby was trying to get ahold of Bubba to find out what he wanted to go out the door first. Meanwhile I took my glasses off and my hearing aid out and put them in my glass case and got my hood on and zipped up my jacket. Robby then said that Bubba wanted the Tanker to go out the door first and he told me to get in. I got in and we took off. While on our way to the scene, I got my mask on awhile. We knew that Eville was going to beat us to the scene, especially with it being a 3 box. Chief 21 got on the scene and held the box to us and his company class 1. We got there and Robby said about me wating to get a ride up the driveway on the Engine. We got there and it didn't look that far up the driveway and I told him I would walk up. I got out and told him to help me get the air pack on, which he did. I then grabbed the multi-purpose hook off the back of the Tanker and started up the driveway. About halfway up the driveway, I had to stop as it was longer then I originally thought it was. I then contiuned on up the driveway and over to the shed. The Engine pulled up about 3 minutes later. The boys from 21 had already got a good knock on the fire by the time we got there. We then helped the guys from 20 with overhaul and wetting down the debries removed from the shed. We were on the scene for a little over 1-1/2 hours. After we cleaned everything up and I put my air pack back on the Tanker and my pike pole back on the Tanker we left and headed up to the Shell in Eville to get fuel in the trucks. After we were done there, we headed back to the station. Once there I switched cylinders on my air pack and cleaned my mask and out it away. I then shot the shit for a little bit and then left and headed on home as I had to get cleaned up and eat dinner before heading up to work. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner. I left the house at 19:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and grabbed something to munch on that night. I then headed down to the Eville station. I got there and parked and went inside and clocked in. Brian and Wertz were there and Tim was back in the men's bunk room sleeping. I did a quick rig check and then filled out my paperwork and looked at September's schedule. I called Steve right away and left him a voicemail that I was not happy with the schedule, minaly that I didn't have PTO and I was in Eville for the whole month of September and I wasn't with Tim. I then checked supplies and put an order in. John and Bowser then showed up and asked us about pagers. We found them on and then they left and headed up to Wal-Mart. Just before they showed up, I had tried to put a DVD in the DVD player and it finally took a crap on us. So we ran up to Wal-Mart to buy a new DVD player. We then ran over to Burger King so Tim could get something to eat and then we headed back to the staton. Once there we got the DVD player set up and we sat down and watched an episode of Season 4 of Emergency. I then watched some Discovery Channel and then went to sleep around 02:00 hours. The tones went off around 03:30 hours for chest pains in Lykens Borough. I reset the pager and laid back down on the couch. Tim then came out about 5 minutes later and hit the couch and told me to get up. I asked him why and he said that it might become a code up in Lykens. I asked him to turn a light on so I could see my glasses laying on the table and then got the stuff on my belt and got my boots on. We then got in 6-4 and headed on up class 3. We got to Loyalton and they called it as a cardiac arrest. We went responding from Loyalton. We got up there and we helped Bowser and John in anyway we could and then Truck 22 got there and they helped carry the guy down and loaded him into 6-5 and off they went to Harrisburg. We headed back to Eville and once there we sat all of the supplies they were going to need out in the med room. I then laid back down on the couch and went back to sleep. Then around 05:00 hours, Bowser came in and asked me if we had gotten any Amidarone yet and I said no and I asked him if he got the supplies and he said yes and they left and I went back to sleep. Then around 05:30 hours the tones went off for a tree fire in Lykens Borough. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning around 07:55 when the phone rang. I got up ahd got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on. I then put my pillow away in my suitcase. Then the Wendo-Matic brought my winter jacket back and laid it on the couch and went back up front where she belongs. I then took my stuff out to my car as Kathy pulled in. I went in and clocked out and then I talked to her for a little bit. She then got the swepper out and I took the trash out from the day room and put it in the dumpster. The tones then went off for a call in Millersburg. Tindell took the squad and headed on down. Then myself, Kathy and Steve went out back to talk, since we think the place is bugged. The tones then went off again for another call in Millersburg. 6-5 from Lykens took that one and then Kathy and Steve talked about going for breakfast before they got a call. I then got in my car and headed up to Wal-Mart. Once there I got two pairs of sneakers and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around 13:22 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went into the bathroom around 15:10 hours to use the toilet. Around 15:25 hours the fire pager went off for a shed fire (again) on Bitting Road in Halifax Township. I quickly finished my business and ran over to my room and got dressed and then got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got there and the Tanker was sitting out and it had the turn signal still on. I parked my car and went in the back door. Kenny was at his stall and when I came in he said good, at least your here. I asked him who else was here and he said Troy and him and now me. He then went over and got in the right jump seat of the Engine. I then kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet and went over to the Engine and got in the officers seat. Troy then pulled the Engine out and stopped and said he was going to wait till after the second dispatch. I took that time to take my glasses off and my hearing aid out and put them in my case and put the case on the dash board. I then got my hood on and my jacket and then zipped my jacket up and then undid the air pack. They then hit the second set of tones and I put us responding and off we went. I finished putting my pack on and then grabbed a mask and got that on and then my helmet. Meanwhile Tom was on the radio and told county that he had a good thermal column from about a mile out and to go ahead and started the first alarm awhile. We got almost to the scene and we called in for an assignment. Tom told us to back up the driveway incase we needed to lay out to the road with 5 inch hose. We got there and just as we started backing up the driveway, Tom called us and told us we could drop our packs and that he wanted another line pulled off of Engine 29-1 and to the Bravo side to wet down the field behind the shed and the tress and brush beside the shed. I got up there and grabbed a line off of Engine 29-1 and headed around back. Meanwhile, Tanker 29 dropped their port-a-pond in front of the Engine and hard suction was pulled off and then 100' of 2-1/2" was pulled off and hooked up to Engine 29-1 and Troy drafted and supplied Engine 29-1 with water. Meanwhile back at the nozzle, Sammy originaly backed me up and then the water pressure dropped. Special K then came back and once we got water supply again, he backed me up on the line. After about 10 minutes of this, we lost water pressure again. I set the line down and went and talked to Charlie and he said that our Engine might be having a problem keeping a draft. So I walked down to Troy who was at the pump panel and he would get a draft and then lose it. He finally got a good draft and then I went back up to the nozzle and continued to wet down stuff. I then took a break and went down to the Engine and took my jacket and helmet off and sat down. I took that time to call LeeAnn and harass her that she was missing another fire call and we talked for a few minutes. Steve then sent out a text message reminding people about the staff meeting. I called his cell phone and it went to voice mail, so I left him a message that I probally wasn't going to make the staff meeting due to be on thet fire call. Tom then called everyone up and he said he wanted to have everything wet down once more and then they were going to put a blanket of foam on everything. My father then showed up while I was doing this, as I had taken the one line from Charlie. We then wrapped everything up and broke their lines down and rolled them up and put them in the back of their utility. We then put everything of ours back on the Engine and after talking to Tom, we left and headed up to Shell to get fuel. Once we were done there, we headed back to the station. Once there I got out of my bunker gear and put it away. I then cleaned my mask and then Kenny filled the water can up and then I pressureized it. Lyle and Schoffstall (who were on the Tanker) then got back with the two pizza's and tea and we took a break. We then repalced the 100' of 2-1/2" hose and put the water can away. Troy and LeeAnn then took the Tanker out to fill a pool. Kenny went down to Bubba and Robin's house and Lyle put the Engine away and then the three of us talked for a little bit and then we all left to head on home. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Blow Out on 13-2

Right before I went to bed last night, I was putting something away in one of my dresser drawers and I noticed that my name tag for my dress uniform was missing from on top of my dresser. I looked all over the place in my room and couldn't find it. The only thing I could think was that last week it accidently got knocked off my dresser and into my trash can and I didn't know it. I went to bed around 03:10 hours and was rocked out of bed this morning around 08:40 hours when the pager went off for a fall victim in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got dressed and then got in my car and headed into the shed. I got there and Bill was already there and had the bay door for 13-2 open and had it running. I parked and got in the unit and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded and took her down Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. As I made the turn from South Fourth Street onto North Fourth Street in the Borough, we both heard a loud bang, like I had hit the curb with the bumper. We got back and I backed 13-2 in and here I blew the side wall out of the right rear tire. I called Scott right away and told him and he said about calling up to Patton's and seeing if I could get in today. He also said about making sure that 13-1 started since they had been having battery problems with it. So I called and was able to get it in around 11:40 hours. I got up there and it took about 45 minutes to get it changed and then I left and headed back to the station. Once there I logged my time and picked up my check from July and ran up to the bank and cashed it. I then stopped at Giant and picked up some soda, diet iced tea and some cheese and then headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch while I read the paper. I then did some cleaning in my room and am now eating dinner while watching MASH on TV. Once I am done eating dinner, I am going to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Boyd's Bear Bingo

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning around 11:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. My mother and brother then came home from greeting at church. I talked to them for a little bit and then changed into street clothes and left around 12:35 hours and headed up to the fire hall for the Boyd's Bear Bingo. I got up there and LeeAnn and Martha were in the hall and Bill was down in the fire house working on an upcoming events flyer for September to hand out. People slowly started coming in and I mean slowly. Bubba came up for a little bit before leaving for work and ate lunch and talked with some people. We had about 16 people for the bingo, which is down quite a bit for us. Bingo went very good and we were finished by 16:45 hours and then everyone filed out. Jess, Bill, Troy, myself, LeeAnn, Martha, Gary, Robin, and Tonita then sat down and we started talking about our ideas again for the Fisherville Fun Day on September 28th. After we bounced around some ideas we started slowly leaving. I left around 18:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I sat down to watch the Gold Medal Match of Men's Indoor Volleyball and we beat Brazil to win the gold. The closing ceremonies are almost over and my Olympic watching marathon will soon be over. I have devoted almost every waking minute of my day for the past 17 days to watching the Olympics on TV and following it online. After tonight I will go back to my routine watching of the Discovery Channel for most of the time during the evenings. Once the closing ceremonies are over I am going to to jump in the shower and then will be back online to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Blue Knob ATV Run

I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and woek up at 05:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then grabbed my digital camera and then packed my lunch and dinner for the day and then grabbed a coffee cake for breakfast. I left he house around 05:45 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got there and parked on the right side of the old fire house and waited for Troy to show up. When he was not there by 06:00 hours, I waited 2 minutes and then called his cell phone like he told me to the night before to make sure he was up. I called and he said he was soon going to be leaving his aunt's house on Powell's Valley Road. I then ate my breakfast while I waited for him to get there. He showed up around 06:20 hours and he pulled up to the trailer. I put my lunch box in his truck and then he asked me if I was going to pull the Engine out and then the four wheeler and I said I would do that. While I did that, he hooked the trailer up to his truck and then he moved over to in front of the fire house. I then loaded the four wheeler up and we secured it and he moved out of the way and I backed the Engine in and closed the bay door and off we went around 06:35 hours. We had to stop at Troy's house to pick up some more tickets in case we needed them. We then stopped at his Aunt's house so he could get the directions and then we stopped at Shell so he could fuel his truck up for the 150 mile ride up. We then went through the drive-thru at McDonald's on Front Street and then started on our long trip up to Blue Knob. We took the turn pike up for most o the way. We got up there around 09:30 hours and when we went into the field to park, the sight we saw just blew our minds away. There were vehicles parked for as far as the eye could see. We were parked in the third row of vehicles and Troy took the four wheeler off the trailer and I put my lunch box and the tickets and money in the front compartment and asked him if he needed any help and he said no as he was just going to unhook the trailer and unload his four wheeler. I told him that I was going to head up to the fire house and try and find Bruce. So I headed up to the fire house on the four wheeler and found Bruce standing out front. I talked to him and told him to put us where he thought would be the best place and I also asked them if we could borrow a table and two chairs for the day and he said not a problem. I then met Troy and got the signs from him and then threaded my way into where Bruce had set the table up for us and parked the four wheeler and set up shop. Once Troy regiestered he parked his four wheeler and came up and stood by the table until the huge line of people on four wheelers and dirt bikes died down and then he headed out to run the trail. Once everyone cleared out, Bruce's father, Rex took me in his truck up to checkpoint 1 to show me the whole operation that they have set up along the trail every 10 miles. I want to tell you it was a sight to see, with all those people stopped there and quite a few inline to get food and drinks. We then headed back to the fire house. Troy got back around 14:00 hours. We sold a total of 2 Daily Number tickets and 27 four wheeler tickets. We broke down a little after 17:00 hours. The last count I heard was at least 550 vehicles and over 100 children registered and 930 adults regeistered for the run. We left and got back on the turn pike until we got off at the Carlisle exit. We stopped at Arby's and ate dinner and then Troy fueled his truck up again and we headed on home. Once back at the station I took the four wheeler off the trailer and Troy put the trailer away and then I hosed the four wheeler down and then put it away and headed up to the hall to talk with Robin and Troy. We all left around 22:00 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Good Day at Wal-Mart

I went to bed last night around 03:05 hours after watching the USA Men's Indoor Volleyball Team beat Russia to advance to the Gold Medal Game. I woke up this morning around 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 12:20 hours. I got up there and parked and went into the station and opened the Engine bay door. I then took a look around for the tickets and could not find them. So I left a message on Troy's cell phone. Bill then got there and I told him about the tickets. I then gave Bubba a call, but it went to his voice mail. I then called Robin and asked her if she knew about what time Troy got out of work and she said she thought around 14:30 hours. I told her what was going on and then thanked her and hung up. Bill then said that he had some tickets of his own, and I pulled mine out of my car and gave them to him. I then put the station gas can in the back of the Utility and my gear in the front of the Utility. I then put the signs in the back of the Utility. The station phone then rang and it was Bubba. I told him what I had told Robin, and he told me to check the copy of Troy's CPR card in the drawn of the desk to see if it was signed or not. I checked and it was, so Bubba said that Troy stopped this morning. I told Bubba the only place I could think they would be, would be the filing cabinet, but I didn't have a key to it. He told me to come down to the house and he would give me his key. Meanwhile, Bill grabbed 6 chairs and a table out of the hall and put them in the back of his truck. I then pulled the Engine out and then the Utility and went over and hooked the trailer up and then moved it over by the fire station and loaded the Utility on the trailer and we strapped it down and then I put the Engine away and we left there around 13:35 hours and haded up to Wal-Mart. We got up there and got things set up and House and Michelle were already there. Things were slow in the beginning and then it picked up around 18:00 hours. Around 17:10 hours I headed down to Burger King and got something to eat for dinner. Jess showed up around 17:45 hours and then Tonita came in, followed by Eric and his gf. We tore down around 20:00 hours. We had sold 29 four wheeler tickets and 9 Daily Number Tickets. I left Wal-Mart and then stopped at Shell and got fuel and gas and then headed back to the station. I got there and Bill was there, along with Eric and his gf. I parked in front of the Tanker bay door and then opened the Engine bay door and pulled the Engine out and put the four wheeler away. I then moved the Utility over and we locked the trailer around the telephone pole and then I put the Utility away. Jess then brought her friend and co-worker that she brought along with her up to Wal-Mart who is from Liverpool Fire Company, up to our station and showed him around. I then put the fire safety stuff in the cabinet and then put my gear away and then closed everything up and headed home around 21:08 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I have to get up early tomorrow morning.

A Great Day at Work

I went to bed Tuesday night around 03:05 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and digital camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch abd grabbed my Gatorade bottles and then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed to Eville to go to work. I got there and parked and went inside and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then clocked in. There was a box of supplies sitting on the table in the kitchen. I put them away and then did a quick check on the ALS supplies. I then went to head into the hall way and Tindell met me at the door. He told me to take 6-2 and go up to the square in Eville and met 6-5 coming down from Lykens. He told me to switch out with Brian as Stutzman was already in the back with a BLS patient and he was the oncoming EMT. As I was pulling out with 6-2 I saw Kathy pull in and get out and take her bag inside. I was supposed to have Dwayne, but he called off and Kathy picked up the shift. So I did this and met 6-5 and switched out with Brian and then drove 6-5 down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. I took my time coming back as I didn't want to go eat breakfast with Jim, but alas we did. We got back and then we all left and headed up to Special Place for breakfast. I had a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. After we ate breakfast, we all ran up to Wal-Mart, with different ideas in mind. Me and Kathy went looking for more bug and tar spray for the units. While we were back there looking around, the tones went off to assist in the search for a missing child in Mifflin Township. We walked back out to 6-4 and off we went. Naturally Jim and Stutzman were ahead of us and Steve came behind in 6-2. We got there and after being there only 5 minutes they found the kid after he had been missing for over 1 hour. We went available and I started my run around to hang up flyers. We stopped at Klinger Lumber first, then stopped at Shell where I got fuel and also hung up two flyers. We then stopped at Koppy's and Jo-Jo's and then I dropped two of at Kratzer's and then we headed back to the station. Once there I did a quick chart on the call while Kathy and Tim took naps on the couches. Steve left around 16:30 hours and then Tim went up to Koppy's around 18:00 hours to get dinner and then me and Kathy went up to Koppy's and we got something for dinner and headed on back. Kathy then left around a little after 20:00 hours and then me and Tim sat down and watched two episodes of Emergency. Then around 22:40 hours, the tones went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township, Tim went down in the Squad since Stutzman had come down to the station as Tommy was not coming in up at Lykens until midnight. Me and Stutzman watched the Olympics on TV and I got to watch the Gold Medal Match of Women's Beach Volleyball and watch Misty May and Kerri Walsh defend their gold. Stutzman then left around 23:45 hours to head back up to Lykens. Tim then called me around 00:40 hours and told me to listen incase he got another call as he would need paper for his monitor. About 15 minutes later I heard 13's tones go off, followed by ours for seizrues in Halifax Township. I got up and went out to the ALS room and grabbed two rolls of paper and then got in 6-4 and took off for Halifax Township. It was up in the one trailer park and I knew the mother of the child. I got there and she ended up refusing to have the child transported as she was going to keep giving him Tylenol and call the family doctor in the morning. I then headed on back to Eville while 13 took Tim back to his squad. When I left he trailer park, I went down North Elmer Ave. to head back to Eville. When I pulled out I took my time but still heard the rear bumper scrape the pavement. Once I got back to Eville and backed in the station, I went around back to see if I had left any scrape marks and the right side of the bumper was pushed up about 1/2 inch and pulled away from the bottom of the body about a 1/2 inch. I started cursing and went into the computer room and grabbed an incident report and wrote it up. Once Tim got back I had him read the incident report and then I helped him restock his gear. He then got under the back of the unit and took a look at the bumper. Here I had only sheard off one of the bolts, which it was designed to do and the bumper is also adjustable and had just slid away from the body. He loosened up the bolts and pushed it back in to where it belonged and re tightened the bolts and it didn't even look like I did anything to it. I then went to sleep around 03:00 hours and woke up at 07:10 hours when the tones went off for breathing problems in Wayne Township. I got everything back on my belt and then got my boots on and I noticed that Tim hadn't come out of the bunk room yet. So I went back and woke Tim up and told him that was our terroirty and he got up and we got in 6-4 and off we went. We got there about the same time as 13-2 and it was Holly's grandmother, again. I helped get her loaded and then I headed back to the station. Bruce and Bruce were already there and Tommy came in as I was backing in the station and then Zack came out in the bays. I clocked out and stayed until 08:30 hours and then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 14:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then left the house around 16:20 hours and headed up to the fire house to meet Bubba and Robin to car pool down to the pipeline training class tonight. I got there and went down to the house and once Jess got home we got in the Montaro and headed into town to pick Troy up from his Aunt's house on Powell's Valley Road. We then stopped at Shell and we all got something to drink and then headed on down to the hotel for the training. We got there and went inside and signed in and then got our goodies and then got our free food. The Roast Beef was out of this world as was the piece of chocolate cake that I got for desert. The training was good this year and we were out of there around 20:15 hours and headed on home. We stopped at Sheetz so they could get a pack of smokes for Jess and then we dropped Troy off at his truck and then we headed back to there house. Once there I got my stuff out of there car and put it in mine and then talked with Jess for a little bit while Bubba and LeeAnn headed up to the fire house. After I finished talking to Jess I headed up to the fire house and the three of us talked for a little bit and then Bubba gave me some stuff to take up with us to Wal-Mart later today to hand out and then I headed on home around 21:30 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Accident with No Injuries

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. After I had just sat down to start reading the paper and eating, my mother came home from Harrisburg and I went out to help her bring grociers in from the car and put them away. I then finished eating lunch and reading the paper. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 12:30 hours to mow the lawn. I got there and parked my car beside the station and then went into the old fire house and got the mower out and mowed beside it and then parked by the back door of the fire house. I then moved my car over and parked it where I had just mowed. I then used the rest of the gas from the can in the station and a quarter of a can out of the gas can on the Utility to top off the tank on the lawn mower. I then mowed the lower lot first, the beside and behind the fire house and then around the hall and old fire house. When I was done I put the mower away and got the weed whacker out and went around the old fire house, fire hall,. station and down by the sign in the lower lot. As I was finishing up at the sign, I saw Bubba go into the fire house and open up the Tanker bay door. I walked up and put the weed whacker away and went over into the fire station and grabbed a soda out of the fridge and went over and sat down on the tailboard of the Engine. I told Bubba that we were going to need more gas before I mowed the lawn the next time. He then asked if I topped the tank on the lawn mower off and I said no. He told me to use the rest of the gas off the Utility and some off the Engine if I needed to. So I grabbed the can off the Utility and went over into the old fire house and topped the gas tank off and then I grabbed the can of the Engine and finished topping the tank on the lawn mower off. While I was doing that, Bubba poked his head in and asked me if I would close the Tanker bay door and I said yeah I would get it and he took off for work. I then put the gas can back on the Engine and then closed the Tanker bay door and headed on home around 15:10 hours. I got home and took my t-shirt off and put it in the hamper and then went out to the living room to talk to my mother. I had just sat down on the couch and took my shoes off when the fire pager went off for all available fire police to respond to the intersection of Rutter and Bastian and another intersection to assist with traffic control of an accident. I put my shoes back on and went back and grabbed my t-shirt out of the hamper and grabbed my keys to head back up to the fire house. My mother said that I wasn't fire police, and I told her that I usually go up to grab the Utility and the traffic signs so that the fire police have them. I got out to the car and gave Bubba a called and asked him if I should grab the Utility and the signs and he said he didn't know as he was trying to get ahold of Troy to find out what was going on. Here what happened is Jason called in as Lt. 216 again instead of Capt. 216. I got up to the station and parked my car and went inside and opened up the Tanker bay door. As I was doing this, I heard County say "go ahead Lt. 216", then I heard them say, ok. The tones then went off again for the Engine to respond to the scene, class 1 now. All this was happening while I was opening the Engine bay door up. I was surprised to hear that the dispatcher forgot to set the house siren off. I went over to my stall and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and took them over and laid them on the hood of the Utility. I then went around to the driver's side of the Engine and unplugged the Engine and started it up and then went back around to the passenger's side and waited to see who was coming. House then called me and asked me if I was at the fire house and I said yes and he asked me to throw his gear on the Engine as he was at the scene. So I went over and grabbed his gear and threw it in the back seat of the Engine. Dave pulled in and then I heard the back door open and Kenny came in. I got in the officer's seat and Kenny got in behind me and once Dave got his bunker pants on got in and I put us responding with 3. We got up there and Jason told us to grabbed the broom and a flat shovel. I got the two broom out while Dave went up and got the flat shovel out of the hose bed and Dave handed me the clip board and I took it over to Jason. Jason then told me to go get the information from the driver and I gave him the broom. Robby then came up and told me that he would get the information and since I had my gear on to go help wash the road off. Dave moved the Engine up and then we pulled 1 section of the trash line off and we washed the dirt and dust off of the road. What happened was a guy was towing a trailer behind him and was hauling modified stone in it that he had gotten from the quarry. He came down the hill by the Faust Farm a little to fast and the trailer got squirrley on him and it jumped off the hitch and overturned, spilling his load on the road. When Matt got there, he grabbed the skid loaded and used that to clean up most of the dirt and stones and then we got the rest with the brooms and then the remaining we washed off the road. After that we put eveything away and then we left and turned around at the old meat market and then headed into the pump house to fill the booster tank up. After we got done in there, we headed back to the station. Once there I put my jacket and helmet away and took my bunker pants off and put my shoes back on and then grabbed a run sheet out of the Utility and took it to the copier and made 20 copy's with it. While that was being done, I went and helped Schoffstall and Dave repacked the 50' section of the trash line and then put the original run sheet back in the Utility and then Dave backed the Engine in and I put the copies on the clipboard in the Engine and he gave me the report and I sat it on the desk. He then left and then I shut both bay doors and me and Schoffstall talked for a little bit outside. I then left and headed on home and just finished eating dinner while I watched boxing on TV. I am now going to go take a shower and then am going to check the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Many Calls During My 24

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:30 hours and got up Sunday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and digital camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I quickly ran up to Wal-Mart and got a new watch since I broke mine on Saturday morning at the fire hall. I then headed back to the station and parked. Bruce was already there and got out when I got there. We went inside and I clocked in and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. Bruce then went out to start a rig check and I then came out a few minutes later. I then turned the Olympics on and we watched it for a little bit while I ate breakfast. Bruce then said about going to eat breakfast and we all agreeded on Burger King. I let Bruce driver up there to get some driving time in. After we ate dinner, we headed back while Tim headed up to Lykens to pick up a few things from his place. Once back at the station, it was back to watching the Olympics. Tim then came back and went back into the Men's bunk room to get some sleep. We were sitting there when we heard a knock on the bay door. I went out to the bay and there were two guys standing there, and one had a fish hook in his one index finger. He asked us what to do and we told him that we coulnd't pull it out and that he would have to go to the hospital. He thanked us and then they both got in the car and left. We went back in and sat back down and then around 12:30 hours the tones went off for a phsychiatric problem in Washington Township. We got in 6-4 and off we went. It was the same lady that me and Bowser had back in June. We staged and then PSP said we could go in and we headed in and they were walking her out to the ambulance. We got her in and then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed there, we headed on back to Eville. Once there we asked Tim, who was sleeping again if he wanted to do anything for lunch and he said no, so we got back in 6-4 and headed up to Jo-Jo's and ate lunch. I had 4 slices of chesse pizza. After we were done, we headed on back to the station. When we got back, Tim and 6-1 were gone. We couldn't figure out where he went. We went back to watching some more of the Olympics on TV. Then around 17:20 hours the tones went off for a pedistrian struck in Millersburg Borough. Tim headed on down that way in 6-1 and they ended up going to Hershey. About 20 minutes later the tones went off for a CVA in Eville Borough. We were going to let 6-5 handle until Tracey called down to see if we were going to head to the scene until they got there and I said yeah we would. We got there and it was the same guy that we had last month. He ended up refusing to be transported to the hospital. 6-7 left and headed back to Lykens. We left and had gone only a block and the tones went off again for a fainting just 2 blocks down from us. We headed down there to again stabilize. We got there and stablizied and once 6-7 got there we helped them get loaded up and then they headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. We then headed on back to the station and sat down to watch some more Olympics. I then emptied the trash cans around 19:30 hours and then I had Bruce help me take the dumpster out front. Audrey then left and then Bruce left after we talked for a little bit. Tim then got back and I told him that Wertz had called to see about doing something for dinner. Tim called him just as Stutzman and Tracey got back to restock. They then headed up through and then we waited for 15 minutes and then headed up to Burger King for dinner. We ate dinner and then headed back to the station. We walked in and the tones went off around 22:30 hours and it was for Breathing Problems at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. We walked right back out into the bay and got back in 6-4 and I put us enroute. County came back and said thay the nurse requested an extra wide stretcher. So I pulled f oward a little bit and we got out and took the stretcher out and then we loaded the big boy stretcher in and the ramps and went on our way. We got there and I helped take the stretcher in and then I went back out to get the ramps set up. I moved 20-1 out of the way and backed our ambulance in and then set the ramps up. I then got the winch out and set it up and went to plug it in to give it power, and the cabinet door was locked, I searched high and low for a key, even checking all the keys on the key ring, an no key. So I put it away and went back in to help them move her over. I went in and told Tim that we didn't have a winch. They had just gotten her loaded on the stretcher. So I grabbed gear and took it out and then we pushed her up the ramps and then I took the ramps off and put them away and then got in the back to help Tim where I could. We then headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital, class 2. After we got what we needed down there and cleaned up, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Tim could get a cup of coffee to drink. Lyle was there with the milk truck and I talked to him for a little bit in the store. We then ran Randy back up to Millersburg as Tim asked him to go along incase anything happened and he would need help. From there we went back to the station and we switched stretcher's out and then I helped Tim restock his supplies. I then say down and ate my lunch while I watched Men's Water Polo on TV and the USA beat Germany. I then went to sleep around 03:10 hours and woke up at 07:45 hours when the alarm on my watch went off. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away. Jim then came in and then the phone rang and I answered and it was Beef saying he was going to be about 5 minutes late, but he was listening incase we got any calls. John then came in and clocked in and I gave him a quick report on 6-4 as he walked out to the bay. Beef then pulled in and the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Upper Paxton Township. I got up and went to the door and said to Beef "Well you can tell your here" and chuckeled. He then started cursing a little and then started walking over. 20-1 then asked county to dispatch a medic from 6 for meet them at the Halifax High School. Beef got on the air and put him responding to that and MICU 6-3 to the accident. I then clocked out and got in my car and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to catch up on some of my sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 15:30 hours. I got up and read the paper and then ate lunch while I got on the computer to get some things ready for the meeting at the fire hall. I then left the house around 17:50 hours and headed up to the station. Bill was already there and was making up flyers on the computer at the station. LeeAnn then pulled in and we headed up to the hall and talked about a few things. Kenny then came in and we talked about a few things. The meetign went good, and did not last as long as I thought it would, considering that Bubba was there tonight. We talked afterwards about a few different things and then everyone left around 21:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Fire Under the Chicken Trailer

I went to bed Thursday night around 02:30 hours and woke up at 07:10 hours Friday morning when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and digital camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:25 hours to head to Lykens to go to work. I made a quick stop at Wal-Mart and got a new cell phone case as the one I had broke the day before in the old fire house while I was putting charcoal in the chicken trailer. From Wal-Mart I headed up to Lykens. Once there I parked I took my stuff inside and then clocked in. I then got Yeager to buy a four wheeler ticket. Him and Tracey then left and I did a quick rig check on 6-7 and then filled out the proper paperwork and ate breakfast. I then turned the Olympics on while Tim laid down on the couch to take a nap. The tones went off for a call in Millersburg Borough around 10:30 hours. Beef handled that call in 6-20. Tim then wanted to head down to Eville around 12:30 hours to pick up some supplies. We got down there and I went over supplies and Tim got his supplies and we talked to Capt. Carl and Zach. I then got on the computer to look at a few things and then the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. We got in 6-7 and off we went. We got up there and once we got the right address and found the place we went in and found the lady was having an asthma attack. We got her loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. While we were on the way down, Beef got called to meet 20 at the Halifax High School for pain management. After we got what we needed, I stopped at Taco Bell so Tim could get lunch and then we headed on up to Eville. Once there I helped Tim restock his supplies and then he talked to Steve and then we left to head back up to Lykens. We stopped at Kratzer's Hardware to look for something. We then headed back up to Lykens. Once there I ate lunch and we watched two episodes of Season 4 of Emergency. I then turned the Olympics back on while Tim took another nap. The tones then went off around 19:25 hours for breathing problems at the Keepler Home. Capt. Carl and Zach put him in service and he was available by 19:40 hours. I then ordered a ham and cheese sub from Ciao's and took the unit down and picked it up and ran over to Tower Mini Mart and picked up something to drink and headed back to the station and ate dinner while I watched some more of the Olympics. Then around 22:30 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. We got in 6-7 and off we went. We got there and Jim Hoffman was there. He and another guy from the fire company and one of the town cops helped us move equipment and bags around while me and Tim and Jim got the guy loaded onto the stretcher and then into the back of the ambulance and we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. When I passed Sheetz, I saw Robin and Jaz talking to Bubba who was unloading at the store. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Tim could get a cup of coffee and something to eat and I grabbed a Yohoo and something to eat. We then made a stop at Eville and I helped Tim restock and then we headed back up to Lykens. I dropped him off at his place and then went back to the station and I sat down and munched on some chips while I watched some more of the Olympics on TV. I then went to sleep around 02:30 hours. The pager went off I think it was around 04:45 hours and I didn't hear what it was for, so I called Tim and asked him and he said he didn't think it was for us, so I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning around 07:45 hours when my alarm on my watch went off. I got up and put my pillow away and then got the stuff back on my belt and then grabbed my scope out of the unit. Enders got up there last as he went to Eville first since he didn't know if they had gotten a medic for the shift in Lykens or not. Once he got there I clocked out and left and headed on home. Once at home I changed clothes and then Bubba called me and asked me to stop at the fire hall and grab any more Clorox Clean Up. Bill then called me and asked me if I could pick up a tea for him at Shell and I said yes. I then got in my car and headed up to the fire hall. I grabbed two bottles of the Clorox and then headed into town. I stopped at Shell and got Bill and Bubba a tea and then headed on down to the church. I got there and was put to work right away. They church only wanted us to do 125 chicken halfs. We got two racks on and then while we were working on the third rack, I looked back and the grass under the one pit had caught on fire. LeeAnn ran back to her trailer to grab the Indian Rake and I got in the back of the Utility and grabbed an Indian Tank and pulled it out. She had already knocked the fire out with the rake and I wet it down with the Indian Tank. We had quite a few problems with the racks as we had to keep taking them off due to the amount of fire under them. When I got there it was just Bill, Katina, LeeAnn and Bubba. Lonny came a little bit later after me and helped some. We then got everything loaded up to take back to the station. I left before Bubba and LeeAnn did and stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then headed out to the station. I got there and Bill and Katina were already there. I went into the station and got the Engine bay door open and then went over into the old fire house and opened the front doors. LeeAnn and Bill cleaned the table off and then me and LeeAnn put it away. I talked to Bubba and me and Lonny agreed to come back at 14:00 hours and empty the ashes out of the pit after it has a few hours to cool down. The five of us then talked for a little bit in the station and then we all kind of left around 11:45 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then headed back up to the fire house around 13:50 hours. I opened up the old fire house and pulled out the lawn mower and Lonny showed up. We emptied the pits out and put the trailer away and then I headed on home. Once at home I did a few things on the computer and watched some more of the Olympics. Around 15:30 hours I realized that I forgot to put the Indian Tank back in the front of the Utility. I got dressed again and ran back up to the fire house and filled the tank with water and then put it back in the front of the Utility and then headed home again. Once at home I got back on the computer and more Olympics. I then ate dinner and then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Moving Charcoal Around

Again I watched more of the Olympics last night on TV. I watched the Men's All-Around in Gymnastics, and then the Women's Field Hockey game against Germeny, who won 4 to 2. We didn't win a medal in the Men's All-Around. They switched from the feild hockey game to Women's Softball after they had a 1 hour and 47 minute rain delay. They were able to play 2-1/2 innings when the rain came back and when I went to bed around 04:00 hours, they were still in a rain delay and had gone to the Women's Team Sabre, which I found out a few minutes ago, that we got Bronze in that event. I woke up this afternoon around 13:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then headed up to the fire house around 14:45 hours to get the charcoal in the chicken trailer for them for Saturday morning down at the Matamoras Church. While I was there I also went through the boxes of Charcoal and moved the Match Light to the front and restacked all of the charcoal. While I was doing that, it started to rain, and then it poured for about 5 minutes and then it slowed down again. Once I finished up I went up into the hall to put the sharpie marker back in the drawer in the kitchen and I grabbed a bottle of water. I then heard a door slam towards the back of the hall and I looked out and it was my father down by the fire house. I then heard him go by the hall. I then headed on home and he was backing in when I turned onto our street. I parked and went inside and held the door for him while he brought the front piece off of the four wheeler inside. I then ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched Boxing from the Olympics on TV. I am now getting ready to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Quiet Night at Work

I left the house last night around 18:50 hours and headed up to Wal-Mart. I stopped there and talked to the manager and we set up two dates for up at Wal-Mart, August 22nd, and September 7th. I then headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Tower Mini Mart and grabbed some fig nutons and a pint of chocolate milk and then headed to the station. Once there I parked and then took my stuff inside and clocked in and then went out and did a rig check on 6-7 while I talked to Tim and Zach. I then filled out my paperwork and then I turned on the Olympics while Tim played on his laptop. We then called and order into Ciao's and then we walked down and picked it up. We then came back and ate dinner while we watched two episodes of Season 4 of Emergency. After we were done watching them, I turned the Olympics back on and we watched the Women's Team Gymnastic's. Tim then left around 23:00 hours and headed on home. I went to sleep around 04:00 hours when I finished watching the Olympics on TV. I woke up this morning around 07:45 hours when the alarm on my watch went off. I got up and put my pillow away and then put the stuff back on my belt. Tindell and Kathy then came in and we talked until they got a call for chest pains in Williamstown Borough. I then clocked out and headed on down to the Eville station. Once there I restocked supplies and put an order in and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 13:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got a phone call from Bubba asking me if I knew who hit the front grill on the Federal Q Siren on the Engine. I said I didn't know and that I would be up in a few minutes. I got up there and he had the fron grill off and was baning the dent back out. We talked for about 45 minutes and then he headed on home to get a shower and I headed on home and got on the computer to do a few things. I then changed into my uniform and headed up to the fire house around 16:45 hours. I got there and parked and grabbed my gear and sat it beside the Engine. Bubba then came up and then LeeAnn pulled in and then Robin came up. I put my gear in the truck, as did Bubba and LeeAnn and then we got in and off we went, with me driving. We got up to the funeral home in Lykens and parked behind Carsonville's Engine and then Halifax pulled in. The crowd really packed in there and the memorial service actually got started around 19:30 hours instead of 19:00 hours. It lasted for about 15 to 20 minutes and then it was over. We were going to go back to Carsonville's station to eat and talk with people, bit after we saw the amount of people at the funeral home, we decided to just head back to the station. We stopped at Burger King to grab something to eat and then I stopped at Shell so we could top the tank off. Kathy and Tindell were there when we stopped to get fuel. I talked to her for a minute or two and then we headed back to the station. Once there I put my gear away and I talked to Bubba, LeeAnn and Troy for a little bit and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Vehicle Fire

Last night I watched more of the Olympics on TV. I watched Women's Beach Volleyball and Misty May and Kerri Walsh beat the Cuban team. They then started showing Men's Team Finals in Gymnasticis, they then switched to the 200m Freestyle Finals in Swimming, which Michael Phelps won again. They then switched back to Men's Gymnastic's as the comption was heating up. The men's team ended up taking a Bronze medal, which they were happy with and I was happy with. I then switched over and was watching Softball with the USA against Venzuila. Then at 01:37 hours the fire pager went off for a vehicle fire at the intersection of Mountain House Road and Harman Road. I quickly got dressed and got my shoes on and grabbed my pager, wallet and cell phone and then grabbed my keys and got in my car and off I went for the fire house. I got up there and parked and unlocked the back door and went inside. I turned the lights on and ran up front and hit the button to open the Tanker bay door. I then kicked my shoes of and got my bunker pants on. I then heard LeeAnn pull in as I grabbed my jacket and helmet and headed over to the Engine. I sat my jacket and helmet on the hood of the Utility and LeeAnn came in with her gear. She opened the Engine bay door and asked me what unit was going to be going first. I said most likely the Engine as my father was coming up. I then took my glasses off and my hearing aid out and put them in my case and threw the case on the dash in the Engine. I then put my hood on and my jacket and zipped it up. I went to start getting in the officers seat of the Engine when the station phone rang. I ran back and quickly answered it as I had an idea who it was. I was right, it was Robby. He asked me who we all had and I said myself, LeeAnn and my father. He told me to go ahead and go responding and he would meet us at the scene. So I hung up and told my father to get in the Engine and lets go as Robby said he was going to meet us at the scene. We all got in and off we went. I put us responding and then started working on getting the pack on. Dave then went responding in the Tanker. I got all packed up and then Dave called us on the private channel. I told my father that I was all packed up and he said he couldn't answer because he was driving. I answered on the radio and was talking through my mask, so I am sure I sounded funny. County then came back and said it was on White Oak Road in the Weiser State Forrest. Robby called County with his cell phone and advised them that he was on scene with a working vehicle fire and for us to pull the trash line off when we got there. We got there and as we rounded the turn you could see the orange glow from the flames. We stopped and me and LeeAnn jumped out. I connected the regulator to my mask and then went back and took the straps off of the trash line and grabbed the nozzle and took off walking. LeeAnn flaked out the remaining line and then came up behind me to back me up. I signaled to Robby to charge the line and he did and then I opened the nozzle up and started my attack. I started at the trunk and started moving in when the driver's side rear tire blew. I backed up a little bit and Matt Faust came over to me and told me to move in and head towards the engine compartment. I started moving in towards the car again when I sprayed water on the engine compartment, the bright white lights started and I figured it was hitting magnesium and again I backed out and moved around to the front of the vehicle and started appling water there. Matt then came up to me and told me to head back to the trunk and force the fire back up into the engine compartment. So we moved back and I started applying water again, while he tried to pop open the trunk. He got a small opening and told me to put the nozzle in and apply water, which I did. He then cracked the hood open and I did the same thing. I then gave Matt the nozzle as he wanted to spray under the vehicle with it. About that time my low air alarm went off and Robby came over and said we could take our masks off. My father turned my air of for me and I took the mask off. Me and LeeAnn then went back to wetting down some hot spots and then I asked Dave if we could take our packs off and he said yes. We then did mop up and then put everything away and then headed back to the station. Once back at the station I put my jacket and helmet in my stall and my father backed the Engine up to the bay door. The Tanker then showed up and topped off the Engine's booster tank again and then Dave headed in to fill up with water and get fuel. I then hosed down the hose while Matt, Robby, my father and LeeAnn we packed the 50' section of 2-1/2" from the hose bed and the trash line on the Engine. Matt and my father then hung the wet hose up to dry. Bubba then showed up after my father backed the Engine in. I had taken my bunker pants off and put my shoes back on and grabbed my mask and pack out of the Engine. I cleaned the mask up and then cleaned the pack off and put a new cylinder in the pack and put it away. We then all talked and then we all left around 04:30 hours. I quickly ran into Giant and picked up two gallons of Diet Iced Tea and a gallon of milk and headed on home. Once at home I quickly put up the information on the website and then went to bed around 06:00 hours. I got up this afternoon at 01:45 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then called Bill and told him how the call went. I am now getting ready to make dinner and then am going to do a few things online while I watch the Olympics on TV and eat dinner. I then go to work in Lykens tonight for a 12 hour shift and will be back tomorrow morning.

Halifax Firemen's Carnival, Final Night

I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things online. I then got dressed around 17:05 hours and headed up to the fire house. Katina, Schoffstall, LeeAnn and Bubba were all there. I parked and talked to LeeAnn and Bubba. LeeAnn then gave me the tickets and money and I put them in my car for the time being. I then pulled the Engine out and then moved the Utility out and started loading stuff into it. I put my father's cordless drill in the one outside compartment. I then put the box of screws in the rear driver's side compartment along with the rachet straps from the station. I then put my gear and the wheel up front along with the money box and the tickets and money. My father then had to run home to get his pager. While he was gone, I moved the Utility over and hooked the trailer up. My father then got back and said about him loading the four wheeler onto the trailer so he could back the Engine in. I said I would load the four wheeler awhile so he could back the Engine in. He mumbeled something and then wnet over to the Engine. I loaded the four wheeler and then secured it to the trailer. We then grabbed the cooler and put that on the back of the trailer. We then took off and headed into the park. Once at the park, we unloaded everything and then unhooked the trailer and then I moved the Utility over and then House helped me carry the cooler up to the stand and then we carried the table and chairs down to my father and set them up in front of our lights. I then put the sign out front and then got two orange soda's and two cheeseburgers. Things started out slow tonight and then picked up. At 21:00 hours I then got 4 slices of pizza and by 22:30 hours we were down to 5 strips of candy (3 Crunch Bars and 2 Hershey Bars). We shut down at 22:50 hours and after I put everything away I started taking stuff down and then we carried it down to my father. I then quickly went to the bathroom and then moved the Utility and we hooked up the trailer and while they worked on loading the Utility, I took down the wheel post and the board and then once back down at he Utility, I took down the lights and took them apart and we loaded eveything onto the trailer and then me and my father left and headed back out to the station. Once there we unloaded everything and we put the four wheeler and the trailer away and then I backed the Utility in and then my father backed the Engine in and he left and headed on home. I then took a quick look at the tickets and he sold 6 Daily Number tickets and 32 four wheeler tickets for the night, which was the best night out of all four nights for ticket sales. I then counted my money and we made $100.00 for the night, for a total of $314.45 for all four nights. I then headed on home and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Halifax Firemen's Carnival, Night 3

I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then took a shower and then got on the computer to do a few things. Then around 14:00 hours I heard it thunder outside and I closed the windows that were open in the house and about 2 minutes later it started raining. Then around 14:16 hours the fire pager went off for Company 216 OIC to call communications. I started getting dressed as I knew we were going to be getting a call. As I was getting my shoes on the pager went off for a tree down at the intersection of Armstrong Valley Road and Rutter Road. I grabbed my keys and got in my car and headed up to the fire house. As I pulled in, Kenny came running down from his house. I parked and then went in the back door and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. As I pulled my bunker pants up, I heard County say Capt. 216, and then they did the three beeps and said that Capt. 216 requested that the Engine and Utility hold in quarters. I heard Bubba start the Engine and I saw Schoffstall pull in. Bubba then pulled the Engine out. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet and walked out to the Engine and opened up the officers door and Bubba said to me about taking the Utility so that we would have a second saw, as the tree was supposed to be completely blocking the southbound lane. I said that Jason just told us to hold in quarters. Bubba then beeped Jason and asked him if he told us to hold in quarters and I heard Jason say that yes he did, as PennDot was already there and then shortly afterwards, the box was placed in service and Bubba backed the Engine back in the station and we went back inside and I hung my jacket up and put my helmet away and took off my bunker pants and put my shoes back on. Jason then showed up and we all started talking. I then grabbed the clipboard out of the Engine and filled out an incident report. We then all talked for a while and then Jason left, and then Schoffstall and then Kenny headed on home. I stayed and talked to Bubba and then left around 16:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I finished up what I was doing online and then changed shirts and got my stuff for the meeting together and then grabbed the money box and money can and left around 17:08 hours and headed up to the fire house ot get things loaded for LeeAnn. I got up there and LeeAnn was already there. I parked and went inside and put the can in my cubby hole and put the money box in the Utility. Bubba was working on putting a new cover on the cord recpicale on the Utility and Robby was helping him. I talked to them and then I loaded the wheel into the Utility. Once they were done and Robby headed on home, I pulled the Engine out and then LeeAnn pulled the Utility out and over to the trailer and I helped her hook the trailer up to the Utility and then she pulled it over in front of the fire house and I loaded the four wheeler onto the trailer and secure it. I then left and headed on down to Swatara Township, Station 49. I got down there and parked and went inside and put my stuff in the Hap Bestline Confrence Room and then took a look around the station. We then ate and they made meatball subs for us and then we had the meeting. Just as we were getting setteled in for the meeting, they got hit for an accident and the alert tone in the station went off and then the house siren starting going off. The meeting went very good, I brought up about my two awards and I was appointed as the chairperson for a committee to start researching information on this stuff and then I picked my father and John McCready as the other members on the committee. After the meeting was over, Dwayne grabbed my daily number tickets and started loooking at them and I told him they were two numbers for $10.00. He bought a ticket and then Mark Gubb bought one and then Darlene Deitz bought one and then Jackie from Williamstown bought one. Once I got everyone's money, I left and headed on up home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then went down to the borough park and parked beside the Utility and then went over to Lonny and House to see how they did. House said he had 13 tickets stubs, and Lonny said he didn't know if there were any stubs in there from the night before or not. I then went over to the candy wheel to see how they were doing. LeeAnn said it was not as busy as last night. I then said hi to Bill as he was at the pull tab stand next to ours. Jess then came over and we both played some quarters. She kept losing and I then won. I turned to her and told her to pick what she wanted. I then went and got a soda and then played the money bowls and then went over to the craps table and was there for about 45 minutes playing. I then helped them close up around 22:30 hours. I told LeeAnn that I think part of the problem for the night was the band, as they really did suck in my opinion. Once at the fire house I unhooked the four wheeler and moved it into the station while LeeAnn unloaded everything from the Utility and took it into the station. We then unhooked the trailer and locked it up in it's normal spot. I then put the Utility away and then the Engine and then she gave me the money box and left to head on home. I then went up to the hall and counted the money for the night. We made $76.75 for the night, which is not to bad, but less then what I was hoping to make. Once I was done counting money, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Halifax Carnival, Night 2

I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and then grabbed my father's cordless drill and my bag of zip ties and then headed up to the fire house. I got there and went beside the old fire house and picked out a decent old 2 x 4 and put that in my car. I then went in the old fire house and grabbed the two spot lights that we used for our festival and put them in my car also. I then went in the station and grabbed the power strip that we got from forestry and used at our festival and also the box of screws and put both of those in my car. I then grabbed the sledge hammer off of the Engine and put that in the front seat of my car. Bubba then showed up and I mentioned to him about being 1 report short for July. He then checked the reports and found that he didn'e put the one for the oil spill in. So he quickly added that one in and printed out another activity report for July for me. I then got in my car and headed into the Borough Park to get the lights for the four wheeler table set up. I got in there and got the lights and power strip attached to the 2 x 4 and set at the right angle and then left and headed back out to the fire house. Once there I moved the Engine out and then shifted the Utility over to the Engine bay to work on it. I went over the compartments and then the cab. I did the windows, and the floor and dash with Armorall and then Kenny and Schoffstall and Katina showed up and we all got talking. Kenny and Schoffstall then went down to work on the windows on the Engine. I then pulled the Utility out and washed it. Kenny and Schoffstall helped me finish washing it when they were done with the Engine. I then put tire shine on the tires and then had Kenny and Schoffstall move the trailer over and back it into the Engine bay. I then backed the Utility up into the Engine bay and hooked up to the trailer. Meanwhile, Schoffstall moved the Engine up and him and Kenny started working on that. Bubba then came back up from getting a shower at his house and helped me load the four wheeler on the trailer. I then put the soft suction in the back of th Utility that I was going to sell to the guy from Dauphin that has the CF-Model Mack and bought two of our old Scott Air Packs from. I then ran home and took a shower and changed into my uniform and then grabbed the money box and my camera and headed back up to the fire house. Blue Knob was already there and were washing their Tanker up. I then got the cooler filled and loaded onto the back of the trailer and then the skies started getting dark out. I pulled out around 16:45 hours and we headed into town. I headed down to the park and dropped the wheel and cooler off and put the sign up out front. While I was there, naturally is started raining. I then headed up to the high school and went up into the upper lot and dropped the trailer and four wheeler and then went down and parked in front of Bubba. By then it was starting to rain at a good pace. It eventually stopped just as they started judging. We all went through judging and then lined up. After I got parked, I headed down and got something to eat for dinner and then had House help me set up the table and chairs for the four wheeler and then headed back up to the trucks. The parade was nice and once back at the park, we unloaded the four wheeler and parked the trailer off to the side and then got in the stand. We were swamped the first half hour and got rid of quite a bit of candy. It then slowed down. I then got out for awards and I took 1st Place with the Utility. We packed up around 22:49 hours and got everything loaded up. I then quickly ran up to Giant and got $14.00 more of candy for the next two nights and then headed out to the station. Once there LeeAnn helped me with unloadin the four wheeler and the trailer and then she headed on home. I put the Utility and Engine away and everything else on the Utility. I then went up to the hall and counted the money. We made $88.45 for the night, which is very good for a Thursday night. I then headed on home and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Halifax Firemen's Carnival, Night 1

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to check a few things. I then left the house around 14:40 hours to head into town to get my hair cut. I paseed my mother as I was turning onto Enders Road and we stopped and talked for a minute and then I continued into town. I got to tab's and went inside and got my hair cut. I got highlights also so it took longer then when I just get my hair cut. I then headed up to Giant and picked up a gallon of Giant Diet Iced Tea, 4 bags of chips and two strips of Crunch Bars for the candy wheel and then headed on home. I was only home for a short amount of time and then Bubba called and asked me if I was going into the carnival tonight and I said yes. He then asked me if I had eaten yet or not and I said no and he said never mind. I asked him what he wanted and he said he was wondering if I could go with him on a pool fill in Eville. He said he just needed me to hold the pipe so he could work the pump since we had to use 150' of hose to reach the pool. He said that he would then drop me off at the fire house and he could go into the pump house himself. I siad I would be up in a few minutes. I then changed t-shirts and grabbed the money box, signs, and left and headed up to the fire house. When I got there, Bubba was finishing up putting the pipe on the side of the Tanker and I put the money box in the cubby hole and off we went. We got up there and it ended up being a 200' hose lay to reach the pool. After we unloaded the tank, we put all the hose back on the truck and I put the pipe back on the truck and we headed back to the fire house. Bubba dropped me off and then I started getting stuff together. I put the money box, bag of candy wrappers and thumb tacks and signs in the front seat, along with the staple gun, the wheel and the sign. I then got the cooler down and sat it beside the fridge. I then put my gear in the front of the Utility and then I pulled it out and went over by the trailer. I got over there and Troy pulled up and came over and helped me hook the trailer up. I then pulled it over beside the fire house and Troy loaded the four wheeler up. I then put the cooler in the back and then we put a table on the trailer and I put the number board on the trailer and two chairs. I then left and headed into town and Troy ran home to get his cordless drill. I got in there and pulled up into the park and dropped the trailer off and the cooler. I then took the wheel, sign and wrappers and other signs over and sat them on the counter of our stand. I then parked the Utility and then saw Troy come down to the trailer. I had him help me carry the board and cooler up to the stand. I then went in, it was harder this year, as I had to go in around the VFW and Pizza Delight. I couldn't go in the other way, due to them having the money bowls there and having nets up on either side of the stand, so I couldn't get through. Anyhow, I got in and Troy handed me the cooler in and I sat it down. Michelle Myers then showed up while I was putting the wrappers up on the board. I then put the wheel up and got the board secured. It was a pretty good night tonight. We made just under $50.00 for the night. I did run out of peanut butter cups, so I have to get more later today. We closed up around 22:30 hours and got everything packed away and got the trailer hooked up and then I headed back out to the station. I got there and the Engine was still sitting out and Bubba was on the computer. I unloaded my gear, the wheel and the cooler and put the money box in my cubby hole for the time being. Troy then showed up and unloaded the four wheeler and then the three of us got talking. Troy then left and I put the trailer away and then the Utility and Engine away. Bubba then came up to the hall and helped me count money. We then talked a little bit more and then we both headed on home. I am soon going to bed now as I am tired and have to get up early later this morning.

Mow the Lawn

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning around 10:30 hours as I couldn't sleep any longer. My mother got dressed and I changed into street clothes and then we headed up to Wal-Mart so I could get candy for the candy wheel. We first went to costumer service and talked to one of the Wal-Mart people about what my mother asked about 2 weeks ago and we gave her the list of dates. I then got the candy and 4 bags of ice and then we headed on back home. I made a quick stop at the Susquehanna Bank in Eville and cashed my three checks and then we headed to the fire house where I dropped off the candy and bags of ice and then we headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and read the paper. I then left around 13:30 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once there I got the lawn mower out and mowed beside the old fire house. I then moved my car there and parked it and then topped off the gas tank on the lawn mower. I then mowed the lawn and once I was done, LeeAnn showed up and then Bubba came up to the hall to work on some paperwork for the hall. I talked tp him and LeeAnn for a little bit and then headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. Once I was done with dinner I headed back up to the firehouse. Bill had his truck in the Engine bay and Troy was working on getting Bill's hitch on. LeeAnn and Bubba were also there. Bubba replaced the driver's side head light on the Utility. After Troy finished getting Bill's hitch on, Bill left and headed home and Troy left and headed home to work on the Dodge for Thursday's parade. I then backed the Engine in and then Bubba got on the computer and I sat there and looked at a catalog. We then heard a truck pull in and me and Bubba were trying to figure out who it was. Bubba then said that maybe it was Halifax coming for the Dice Wheel. SO I got up and looked and said it was them and we headed up to help them loaded the dice wheel into the canteen trailer. Dave and Holly were also up there. I helped loaded the wheel into the back of the trailer. We then took Waylon down to the fire house to show him the drawings of the squad. They then left and then the four of us talked for a little bit and then Dave and Holly left. Bubba and me talked for a few more minutes and then both of us left around 21:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk, just give me a buzz.

The Parade

I left the house last night around 19:20 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and went inside. When I went inside, all the lights were out and 6-8 was gone. I turned the lights on and put my suitcase behind the couch and my Gatorade bottle in the fridge. I then clcoked in and got on the computer to check a few things. I heard on the scanner, 6-3 go enroute to the hospital. Since we have no I-Net service up there, I couldn't check to see if 6-8 was out on a call or not. I then heard Tim call in for a patch. So I then called down to Eville and Bowser answered. I asked him where my truck was and he said on the road. I said I heard Tim, but I wondered where 6-8 was at and he said sitting down here in Eville. I then took that opportunity to run to Sheel and get something to eat and drink and then headed back to the station, Tim got back around 22:30 hours and ocne he logged his chart, we sat down and watched two episodes of Season 4 of Emergency. Tim then left and headed home around 00:40 hours and I laid down in the bottom bunk and watched some TV. Then around 01:45 horus the tones went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. I went to sleep around 02:00 hours and woke up at 07:45 hours when my alarm on my watch went off. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away. John was already there and talking to Tim. Ron then came in and then I clocked out and we went out into the bays and talked for about 20 minutes and then both me and Tim left to head on home. I stopped at the Eville station and checked supplies and then put an order in and then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 12:55 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer and scanned in the pictures I got from Pete and put them away in my photo album. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things on the computer. I then left the house around 18:20 hours and headed up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I did my med bag checkes on the trucks and then took a look at the candy to see what I need to get tomorrow. We then had the meeting. It went fairly quickly and we finished up by 20:30 hours. I then left up there about 20:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Ham Steak Dinner

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this morning at 10:00 hours when my father woke me up. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the comics. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 10:30 hours. LeeAnn was already there and sitting in the hall playing cards on her laptop. My father then pulled in and brought the roaster he borowed back into the kitchen. The three us then talked while we went down to the old fire house and opened the front doors. I then pulled the lawn mower out and then we got the charcoal in the back two pits and then moved the trailer out beside the old fire house. We then lit the pitsand got them going and cleaned off the tops of the racks. My father and LeeAnn then brought out the stainless steel table. We then talked to Robin around 11:30 hours about waking Bubba up to see how he wanted the ham steaks put on the racks. She then called me back and told me that he said to just place the steaks on top of the racks. So we got them on and then Bill showed up. We then got a roaster and got the first of the steaks in and then we put the rest of them on. House and Michelle then showed up and then Bubba came up and then Lonny showed up. I then ran home and picked up the bubble pizza and went back up. Holly and Dave then showed up and then Jess and Brain came up and then Martha came up. Gruver was the last one to come up and then we all ate. The steak was really good as was my mother's bubble pizza as it always is. Then myself, Troy, Jess, LeeAnn, and Michelle played some cards and then House joined in. We finished up a little after 17:00 hours. I helped put stuff away and then me and Troy put the table away and then me and House emptied out the trays from the back two pits and then Tory and LeeAnn put the trailer away and I put the lawn mower away and then we closed up the old fire house. I then grabbed two ham steaks for myself and two for my father and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to leave for work. I just finished watching the race from Pocono and Carl Edwards won. I will be on tomorrow night after the fire company meeting is over as I have to go to work now.

Respatory Arrest

I went to bed Thursday night around 03:00 hours and got up at 07:10 hours Friday morning when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed. I then grabbed my suitcase and camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:20 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got up there and parked and as I was walking in, Bruce came walking out. Once inside I put my suitcase behind the couch and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then did a quick rig check on 6-8 and then checked the supplies and ate breakfast. Me and Tim then got in 6-8 and headed on down to Eville. We stopped at Wal-Mart first so Tim could get some Pepto Bisom and I got a new controller for my PS2. We then continuned to the Eville station. Once there I got supplies together and then Boyer called me into his office to talk supplies, yet again. O'Neal, Stutzman and Wertz were all waiting for me to finish talking to Boyer so we could go to breakfast. The tones then went off for abdominal pains in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. Wertz got in 6-1 and off he went. We then headed to Special Place for breakfast. I had a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. After we were done with breakfast, we headed back to the Eville station. Once there I put my supply order in. John then called me and asked me where I was and I said at Eville and he said he would be there in a few minutes. John then put the new license plates on the rigs. Once Boyer got back I got him to sign the new registration cards and then me and Tim headed back up to Lykens. Once there I put the supplies away and then got on the computer to start getting prices on the items on my wish list. Then around 12:50 hours Tim said about heading back up to the bulk food store so he could get some barbeque chicken that they were cooking there. So we got in 6-8 and headed to the bulk food store. We got there and he got his chicken and then we headed on back. I ran up to Tower Mini Mart and got a half gallon of Guers Orange Drink and a bag of chips to munch on through out the day and then we headed back to the station. I then grabbed my lunch box and we both ate lunch while we watched an episode of Season 4 of Emergency. After the episode was over, Tim went out to smoke and I put my lunch box in my car. We then sat down to watch another episode when we heard over the scanner about there being an armed robbery at the Mid Penn Bank in Dauphin. I sent text messages to a few people and then they started flooding back to me with texts and calling me. I told Tim to go smoke another cig as I wanted to answer everyone and I pasued the DVD. A female then called the station phone. I answered and she said that they needed and ambulance there right away. I said excuse me and she repeated herself. I then went "uh..." and she ratteled off the phone number that she was calling from and I told her she needed to call 911. I then hung up and went out into the bay and told Tim to hurry up and smoke his cig as we were probally going to get a call, and I told him someone had called in on the station phone. He thought someone he knew was playing a joke and went to go to the bathroom, when the tones went off for chest pains in Wiconisco Township. I got in 6-8 and Tim then got in and off we went. Tim knew the address as he was just there last week and took this lady down. We got there, after I took the long way there by mistake, and I grabbed the BLS bag and headed on and Tim came in behind me with his monitor and med bag. She did not look good when I walked in the bedroom. Once Tim got in there I put her on oxygen and tried to get a blood pressure on her, but couldn't get one. I then ran out and grabbed the reeves stretcher and a sheet and put them on the stretcher and then set the stretcher up outside and took the reeves inside. We got thr lady on there and then carried her out and put her on the stretcher and then loaded her into the back of the ambulance. I then went back inside and got his gear and brought it out to the unit. He then asked me to go back in and get her medications and any paperwork on her. I did that and came back out. When I opened up the side door Tim told me he needed my hands in there now, and he said this as he was pulling a BVM out of the cabinet. I got in the shut the door and took over bagging for him so he could get a line in her. He also said about tubing her, but he wanted to get a line in her first incase he needed to knock her out to tube her. He then called county and told them to tone out our BLS company to respond to the scene class 1. He had no sooner hung up the radio when his cell phone started ringing . He took it off his belt and sat it on the counter and cursed because the Eville crew was calling him. We later found out that they they we were calling them for lift assistance, instead of the fire company. So Stutzman decided to call Tim instead. Tim finally answered and said "I don't have time to talk right now" and hung up. Stutzman told us that when he got off, O'Neal and Wertz asked him what Tim had said and Stutzman made the comment that they better go now. 6-5 pulled in and pulled past us and parked and I saw Stutzman get out and come running back and he opened up the side door and looked in and then said he would get in the back. He then came around the back and got in and asked Tim if he wanted him to start compressions. Tim then said that it was not a cardiac arrest, but a respitory arrest. O'Neal then stuck his head in and asked Tim if he wanted Wertz to step up and he said yes. After O'Neal called Wertz he got in the back and him and Stutzman helped in anyway that Tim told them to. Wertz then got there and O'Neal told him it was a respitory arrest and not a cardiac arrest. Wertz helped Tim with the tubes and once we got everything in order, Wertz and O'Neal got out and Stutzman stayed in the back and I got in the driver's seat and off we went, class 1 to Harrisburg Hospital. I used the siren from Lykens to about Wal-Mart, and then in Eville again and then through Fisherville, and one more time through Halifax up to the traffic light. I then didn't use it again until I got on front street. I did some fancy wheelwork on front street, especailly since it was around the evening rush hour. We got there and got her inside and then cleaned up the back of the unit and once we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at 3B's and got a slush puppy and then we headed back to Eville. Once there we restocked. O'Neal then said that when they were watching ABC27 news at 5, the one reporter was doing a live report on Market Street in Harrisburg, and in the background they heard a siren going, and O'Neal said to Wertz that there we went. After we talked a little bit, we headed on u to Lykens. We stopped at Ciao's and I got a Ham and Cheese Sub and 4 chicken fingers and then we headed back to the station. Once there we watched two more episodes of Emergency. Around 22:20 hours, my fire pager went off for an outside fire in the 29-2 box, but the box was placed in service before anything got out, as it was a controlled burn. Tim then left around 22:40 hours and I got back on the computer and finished getting the prices for the items on my wish list. I then laid down and watched some tv until about 01:00 hours. I then was getting ready to go to sleep when the tones went off for bleeding class 1 in Lykens Township. I called Tim and asked him if that was us or not and he said yes, so I told him I would pick him up in a few. I then got the stuff back on my belt and then got my boots on and then got in 6-8 and ran up to his apartment and picked him up on the corner and I put us responding. We got there and we got the kid and the father loaded up and we headed on down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at the Hess and we both got something to drink and then headed on back. We stopped at Station 21 and dropped off a backboard and set of spider straps and then stopped at the Eville station and dropped off a backboard and two sets of spider straps and Tim restocked his gear and then we headed back up to Lykens. I dropped him off and then headed back to the station. Once there I went to sleep around 05:30 hours. My cell phone woke me up at 07:30 hours and it was Boyer. He asked me if I could open up the bay door so the blood bank could get in. I did and naturally, they set up in the day room, so there went my shot at going back to sleep for another 20 minutes. I got my stuff together and took it out to my car. Zach then came in and I gave him my report, clocked out and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up at 11:30 hours and ate lunch and then changed into street clothes and then left to head on down to Chambers Hill to meet Pete and go through his pictures. I got down there and at 13:35 hours the pager went off for the Tanker to transfer to Station 28 as Berrysburg, Gratz, and Pillow were all on the structure fire in Northumberland County. I spent about 4 hours going through pictures and then left Pete's a little after 17:30 hours with $23.00 worth of pictures. I then stopped at Pizza Hut and ate dinner and then continued on home. I then stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at the fire house to look at the report and saw that they were already back. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
