Catching up on Sleep

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and got up this afternoon around 13:30 hours. I was finally able to catch up on my sleep as I really didn't get a whole lot over the weekend due to working and running all night at work and doing stuff during my day off. I got out of bed and read the paper while I munched on something small. I then got dressed and did 30 laps in the driveway. I then came in and did a few things around the house. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left the house around 18:20 hours and headed up to the fire house to fax my new CPR card to the Federation and leave a copy of it on the desk for Bubba to put in my file. I then tried to fax it down but it kept coming back that it couldn't dial the number. I then headed on down to Bubba's house. Robin met me at the door and we went in to their family room and talked. Bubba was there as his secretary at work told him to head home as he was upset about Robin being sick. He had called me earlier in the afternoon and told me to keep my ears open as Robin was not feeling well, that she had a fever and maybe phumonia. So we talked and then Jess called me on my cell phone. I had called her last night after we left Shell and she said that she was sleeping when I called last night. We talked a little bit as she said that she would soon be pulling in. I told her that I had my big surprise with me and I would show her when she got there. When the came in the house she was on the call phone with Mike and said she had to go pick up Jaz. They got back about an hour later and then she took Jaz upstairs to get a shower and then I believe she left, because I said I was heading home due to me working tomorrow and that was around 20:05 hours and when I went outside, her vehicle was gone. I then headed on home and once at home I took a shower. I then ate a light snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another Busy Night at Work

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and got up Sunday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen after I got dressed. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up a Sunday paper and then continued to work. My father followed me basically almost the whole way to work as he was heading to Evill's station for the Essentials class. I got to work and parked and got my stuff together and headed inside. Audrey came in behind me. When we walked in, it looked like a bomb went off in the day room. Dishes were sitting in the sink and on the counter drying. There was a pot on the stove that still had some stuff in it. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then sat my suitcase, scope and bag on the one couch and clocked in. I then went out to do a rig check and Audrey came out also to help. When we went around to the passenger's side of 6-5, there were cracker and cookies wrapers and an empty soda can on the bay floor. It was disgusted that Zach and Ron would leave the station this way and was also not happy with them. Tim then came in as we were finishing up the rig check. He was very grumpy yesterday morning and I think it was due to him being tired. I then filled out the paperwork and ate my breakfast. Tim checked his gear and then left to go to Wal-Mart and then Burger King. I then put a supply order in that total over $600.00. Tim them came back and went into the men's bunk room and slammed the door behind him. Audrey then asked me about breakfast and I said that I had already eaten and was fine. I asked her if she wanted to go anywhere and she said that she would just go up ti Koppy's and get something. So I grabbed my scope and bag and we got in 6-5 and headed up to Koppy's. She grabbed something and then we headed back to the station. While I was waiting for Audrey to come out of Koppy's I quickly called Boyer and asked him about all the supplies that they brought down from the first aid station at the Gratz Fair. He said that he assummed that they grabbed the stuff out of the BLS room. So once back at the station, I did a quick inventory of the ALS supplies and checked the dates on the medications and IV fluids. I then started to put the BLS supplies from Gratz away when around 09:40 hours the tones went off for a nose bleed in Wayne Township. I grabbed my scope and bag and me and Audrey got in 6-5 and off we went. We got on the scene and went in the house and we got the ladies nose bleed to stop. She didn't want to go to the hospital, so we got her to sign a refusal form and then we went available and headed back to the station. It was a dreary day out and was raining. Once back at the station, Beef and Stutzman were down from Lykens. I told Tim about family fun day and then around 10:55 hours, I grabbed my scope and bag and got in 6-4 and headed on down to the fire house. Once down there I found Troy and asked him where I should park and he had me park on the lawn behind the fire hall. With the rain we did not have the best outcome that we were hoping for. I think they used the smoke trailer a few times. PSP was there and they actually did quite a few finger printings. Forestry came in a little late and set up some hand outs and Smoke the Bear made about a 8 minute apperance. Jean had made a chicken suit and she was wearing it and standing along the road and I saw her as I made the turn onto Enders Road. I then grabbed a half of a chicken and ate it. Jess grabbed a hot dog and sat down beside me and then Barb sat down and the three of us talked. I then had Bill help me set a table up. I then went out to the unit and brought the suction unit, AED and first due BLS bag inside and set them up and sat the pulse ox out on the table. I then also did blood pressure screening. I did at least 35 blood pressures and some of the fire company people I did twice or three times. We had also set up some fire prevention stuff and they had the kiddie games set up inside and DJ Dave was also set up. We ended up tearing everything down around 14:30 hours. I took everything back out and then helped with moving tables and chairs around, putting the chicken trailer away and then talked to a few people and then finally left around 16:30 hours and headed back up to Eville. Once there I put 6-4 out back and then went inside and put my stuff in 6-5. I then sat down and read the sunday paper while Tim and Audrey watched a movie on TV. I then ate my lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to check a few things. Audrey then left at 20:00 hours and I watched some TV. Tim them started working on getting the screen centered on the TV in the day room. Then around 21:30 hours I asked Tim if he was hungry or not and he said not really and I could go get something to eat if I wanted to. Tim went out back to smoke and I got in 6-5 and started the unit up and the tones went off for a sick person in Berrysburg Borough. I went into the day room and got Tim and then we got in 6-5 and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded up and we took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Earlier in the evening, around 20:00 hours, 6-7 went up to the Tremont Nursing Home and transported a patient out of there. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We were on 322 when around 23:40 hours the tones went off for a pshychartic patient in Washington Township. 6-7 handeled that call. We stopped at Sheetz and I grabbed something to eat and then we headed back to the station. Once at the station I restocked my supplies and then helped Tim restock his supplies and then I switched out one of the big O2 cylinders and then I went into the day room and ate dinner while Tim continued to fiddle with the TV. I went to lay down on the couch around 01:10 hours and Tim set his x-box up and we played fomr Halo 3 until I went to bed around 03:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed around 05:30 hours when the tones went off for a sick person, class 1 at Harman Stoves. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then me and Tim got in 6-5 and headed to the scene. 13 got out as we were getting ready to load the patient into the bacn of the ambulance and Tim put them in service. After we got him loaded we headed on down to Osteo. After we got what we needed down there, we made a quick run over to Dunkin' Dougnuts and got something to eat for breakfast and then we headed on back to Eville. We got back and again I restocked my supplies and helped Tim with his fears. Once back at the station I gave the run down to Enders, then got my stuff together and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up at 11:05 hours and me and my mother got changed and got in her van and quickly ran down to Harrisburg and back up. I then spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left the house around 17:30 hours and headed on up to the fire house. Once up there Bubba, LeeAnn, Lonny and Kenny were all in the fire house. I showed them my big surprice for last night. However as of right now there are still a few other people I want t9o surprise, so I am not going to say what the bg surprise is until they see it. Robby, Dave, and my father all showed up. We loaded up our gear and people into all 3 trucks. Troy and Robby in the Tanker, me and Kenny in the Utility and my father, Bubba, Dave, LeeAnn and Lonny in the Engine. We headed into station 29. Once we figured out what we were doing, we headed to the boat ramp in Halifax Township. Once there I parked the Utility off to the side and grabbed my helmet and jacket as I had already put my bunker pants on back at Station 29. We set up the Engine to draft out of the river first. We used two sections of hard suction and the float strainer and got them together and put them on the front suction and put it in the river. We then got one of the pony sections of 5 inch and hooked it up in the back and then got the 5 inch gated wye to two 2-1/2 and we set up two 2-1/2 inch lines to fill the tankers with. Overall training I thought went pretty good. We filled both Tanker quite a few times and then the Engine switched with Engine 29 and we supplied a portable deck gun off the back of Engine 29-1 while Engine 29-1 drafted out of both dump tanks from both Tankers. After we wrapped everything up at the boat ramp, we headed back to Station 29. Once there, all the trucks filled up at the hydrant behind the station and once me and Kenny changed out of our bunker pants we took the 4 cylinders that needed topped off and had that done. The Engine left after they were done getting filled. We then left and stopped at Shell and got fuel. As I was coming out of the store from paying for the fuel, the Tanker pulled in and we left and headed back to the station. Once there I put the Utility away and put my gear away and then went up to the hall to help tidy it up due to it being rented today. I then shot the shit with everyone and then left around 22:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Busy Night at Work

I went to bed Thursday night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed Friday morning around 06:30 hours when the fire pager went off for a cardiac arrest in the 1 box. I got out of bed and quickly got my clothes on and then headed out to my car. My father had the day off and was already out at the back of his truck and was getting his bunker pants on. I got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I pulled in and ran inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet. The Engine was running when I came inside and as I was getting my bunker pants on, Bubba pulled the Engine out. I went out the front foor and my father was just pulling in. I went to the officers seat and opened it up and threw my jacket and helmet in and Bubba told me to go shut the Engine bay door. So I quickly ran back and pulled the door shut and then ran back up and got in the officers seat and my father was getting in the right rear jump seat. Bubba put us responding and I grabbed the AED and sat it on the dashboard. I then asked my father to hand me up a pair of XL gloves and I got them on. We got on the scene and 6-3 had just pulled in. Bowser and Steve were the crew and they were just walking in the house when we parked. I jumped out and headed in the house and Steve and Bowser saw me come in. When I walked in I heard Bowser say to the daughter that the lady was beyond help as she was cold and stiff and turning purple. I turned around and told my father who had just come in and Bubba. As we exited the door of the house I saw Jason close the Engine door after getting a pair of gloves. We then got back in the Engine as Steve said we could go in service. We backed out as Jean and Jason stopped traffic and as we got on the main road, I saw Andy heading back towards his car. We headed back to the station and once there I had Bubba sign the incident report that I had filled out. I then took my bunker jacket and helmet over to my stall and then took my bunker pants off and put my shoes back on. Andy had come back to the station and Paul from Millersburg stopped in to get an application to run with us also, as he mainly runs with Millersburg, but does a lot of work in our area. I then shot the shit a little bit and then had to head on home as it was 07:15 hours and I head to get ready for work. Once at home I changed into my uniform, grabbed my digital camera, suitcase and my street clothes for this morning and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Tower Mini Mart and got a paper and then headed to the station. I pulled in and parked and Tim was there. I got my stuff together and when I walked by Tim I said to him that he was in Eville for the shift. He said that he thought so also, but then he saw me go by heading towards Lykens and he then looked at his cell phone and it said Lykens. Wertz pulled the schedule up and Tim was indeed down in Eville, so he left to head on down to Eville. Yeager was Wertz's overnight partner. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then sat my suitcase behind the couch and clocked in. I then put my scope and bag in the front of 6-7 and then did a rig check on 6-7. I then went inside and filled my paperwork out while I ate breakfast. Jim them came in and Wertz and Yeager left. Jim talked to me all morning and during the time that he didn't talk, I read my paper. I had just started reading the sports section when around 09:30 hours the tones went off for breathing problems at the Lykens Family Practice, which is just down the street from the station. I got in 6-7 and put us responding. We got there and got the guy loaded up and then I helped Jim get some stuff done in the back and then we headed up to Sunbury Hospital. We got up there and after Jim got what he needed and I cleaned the back of the unit up and put all his gear away, he asked me to go with him to the snack bar. I went and got an Orange Soda and a bag of chips to munch on and then we left and headed on back to Lykens. Once at Lykens I restocked the gear that Jim had used and then did 20 laps in the bay of the station. While I was at Sunbury, Sean Grimm had called me to confirm again that our fun day was thsi Sunday. He then told me that their Utility was taking the Boat up to Selinsgrove for a water rescue class and he wondered if one of our guys could come up and get the trailer. I told him that I would call Troy and then get back to him. While I was walking, I left a voice mail with Troy and Sean called me again to ask me one more question. After I was done walking, I went in and finished reading the sports section. After I was done reading the sports section, I got my lunch out and as I was getting ready to start eating when the tones went off around 13:00 hours for a call in Eville that 6-3 handeled. I then watched some TV and then around 16:00 hours Jim wanted to go over to the Gratz Mall, so we went over and then headed on back once he was done buying his food for the week. Once back at the station I went back to watching TV and then Jim clocked out and left at 18:00 hours and I decided to stay up in Lykens and just run a QRS until Beef got in for the night. I watched the rest of MASH on TV and then checked a few things online. Beef then called at 20:00 hours and said to me that no one told him that he was working in Lykens, so he went to Eville instead. He told me to just bring the unit down and once I got there we would figure out what to do for dinner. I took 6-7 down there and when I got down there Beef was watching Tim and Stutzman playing on Tim's x-box. They decided to get to Hawaini pizza's from Jo-Jo's and I got a ham and cheese sub, and two pieces of cheese pizza. Tim and Stutzman ran up to get the food and also went to Wal-Mart and got two DVD's to watch. Once they got back we ate and watched "The Dewy Cox Story". Very good and funny movie. After that was over we shot the shit some and then looked at a few different things online and then around 24:00 hours me and Beef headed back up to Lykens, me in 6-7 and Beef brining his vehicle up. I then laid down on the bottom bunk and watched the rest of Mythbusters and then went to sleep around 01:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed around 02:30 hours when the tones went off for an accident with injuries in Wiconisco Township. I got up and started getting the stuff on my belt and was yelling for Beef to get up, and he wasn't. They hit our tones a second time and I got my boots on and then hit Beef's arm and told him to get up. He moved a little bit and I told him we had an accident with a man laying in the middle of the road. Beef didn't move so I hit his arm again and repeated that we had an accident with a guy laying unconscious in the middle of the road and that they were on the second set of tones. This got him up and he put us responding and county came back and said that PSP was requesting EMS ASAP. We got on the scene and PSP had the guy leaning up against the hood of their car. The guy had been ejected out of his vehicle and also had been drining. His car was totaled. I don't know what he hit, but whatever it was, it was solid. I went over and took C-Spine on the guy and Beef got the stretcher out and then a backboard, C-Collar, spider straps and towel rolls and came over to me. We put the c-collar on and while Beef had C-Spine, I did a rapid physical exam of the guy. We then got him to lay down on the backboard and then we decided to move him to the back of the ambulance and secure him to the board once we had him inside. We got inside and started putting the spider straps on and then Tim and Stutzman showed up. Beef called county and said that if Life Lion could fly, put them in the air, as county was alreading checking on their status as we left the station. They came back and said that Life Lion was a no go. So the guy didn't want to go to the hospital, but we told him he had no choice as he had been ejected from his car. Once we got him secured and Beef and Tim got the two lines we got going down to Hershey Hospital. Beef told me as we were coming off the south side of the mountain to not be afraid to open it up once we hit the highway, and I told him I planned to. Once we hit the highway, it was off to the races. I had the PSP Trooper sucked up to my ass end since just outside Loyalton and he stayed with me the whole way down to the hospital. Once we got what we needed, Beef asked me to stop at Sheetz so he could use the restroom and grab something to eat and drink. We stopped and I decided to get a 5 piece chicken strips to munch on and a large Gatorade to drink and then we headed back. While we were heading back, as we were coming into Dauphin, the tones went off for a call in Northumberland County that 6-3 handeled. We stopped at Eville so I could put another backboard on and a C-Collar and a set of spider straps and Beef restocked his supplies. Stutzman then got back and we shot the shit for a little bit and then left around 06:50 hours and headed back up to Lykens. Once there I laid back down in bed to get a little more sleep. I was rocked out of sleep again around 07:47 hours for breathing problems in Millersburg Borough. I got up and went to the restroom and came back in and the tones went off a second time. I got the stuff on my belt and quickly called down to Stutzman and I asked him if Tim was back yet and he said no, then I asked him if his relief was there yet and he said that Ron was not there yet. I said ok and hung up and woke Beef up and told him the story and said we were on the second set of tones. He put us responding while I got my boots on and then we got in 6-7 and off we went. We ended up meeting 20-1 by the Wooden Nickle. As I was coming through the Borough, LeeAnn called me and said that I didn't have to worry about going to Wal-Mart. She said that Bubba was never able to get ahold of the lady from Wal-Mart and when they got there and went inside to talk to the lady above this other lady, they had no idea that we were coming up there to do a chicken bbq for them and didn't have anything on the calander either. So we got stuck with 125 halves of chicken. We all agreed that Wal-Mart should be billed and then we will use some of them for tomorrow and some for the chicken corn soup we are going to make in 2 weeks. I said ok and then told her to call me when they were getting ready to do the chicken for Swab's. Once Beef got on 20-1 and headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital, I headed back to Lykens. I got there and John wasn't there. I clocked out as I thought he might have accidently went to Eville instead. I then waited around a little bit and ate my slice of pizza for breakfast. When he wasn't there by 09:00 hours, I called Kathy and asked her if he was coming in. She said that he had just left as he had accidently over slept. We then talked about the accident from earlier in the morning and then John showed up. I gave him my report and said that Beef and 20 had arrived at Harrisburg about 10 minutes before he got there. Also 6-3 and 6-1 were on a chest pains call in Wiconisco at Minnich Terrace. He said that he was going to head over there to see what everyone wanted to do. I then left and headed on down to Wal-Mart. I stopped and got 4 badge holders as mine broke the night before. I then headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. LeeAnn called me around 11:00 hours and said that they were getting ready to start the chicken for Swab's. I said I would be up in a few minutes. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then headed on up to the fire house. LeeAnn, Troy, Andy, Barb, Robin and Tonita were all there. Troy asked me if I could get on the computer and make up certificates for tomorrow, which I did. While I was doing that, Lonny got the charcoal in the pit and got it started. We then got the chicken on and then Troy had to run into town for something. I then ran home and got mine and my father's four wheeler tickets and then headed back up to the fire house. Troy was pulling in when I left to head home and when I got back, he was moving Millersburg's smoke trailer down beside the old fire house in the grass. We then went through it to see how it worked and we ended up smoking it up a total of 4 times over the course of the afternoon. We then got the chicken off around 14:00 hours and then, myself, Troy and Lonny relaxed in the old fire house for a little bit. The a guy stopped to buy some four wheeler tickets and then Schoffstall showed up and we shot the shit for a little bit. We then went over to the fire house and got some of the kiddie stuff down for the kiddie games and took it up to the hall. We then went back into the trailer once LeeAnn and Bubba got back so we could show Bubba how it worked. Jaz then came in and she fell in love with the trailer. We let the smoke disapate from the trailer and then we smoked it up again and shortly after we started, Jess came in and sat down beside me, mainly due to the fact that she could barley see where she was going due to the smoke. We then talked some outside and then people slowly started leaving. Lonny left around 15:00 hours and I left around 16:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then ate dinner while I watched college football on TV. I then took a shower and ate a light snack while I watched the Penn State, Illinois game. It is currently half time and the score is 21 to 14, Penn State. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

A Big Surprise in Store for Monday Night

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 07:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate breakfast and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and then me and my mother got in her vehicle and we headed on down to Harrisburg for our doctor's appointments. We got down there and went inside and I went first. Once I was done I went outside and while my mother was in I decided to walk once around the block and by that time she was out. We got in her car and then headed to the Members 1st Bank so I could cash my check. After I did that me and my mother talked to the one lady down there to see if I could get a loan since I am currently looking at new and also used cars. We went through the process and the lady said that someone would call me in anywhere between 15 minutes and 1 hour to let me know if and how much I was approved for. We then quickly headed over to Big Lots so my mother could look for a few things. We then headed down Allentown Blvd. and first stopped at Hoffman Ford and took a look there. We looked at the Ford Fusion and they looked nice, but we couldn't do much as we still didn't know how much I was approved for. Plus the sales person didn't seem interested in selling a car either. So we got back in my mother's van and continued down Allentown Blvd. When we didn't find any other car dealers, we turned around to head on home. Shortly after we turned around the bank called me and told me that I was approved for a loan of $10,000.00. We then headed on home and my mother stopped at Sheetz so she could get gas. We then stopped at Susquehanna Banks and I cashed my $50.00 savings bond I got as a gift when I was born. We then stopped at Giant and picked up some food and then headed on home. Once at home we dropped of the food and then I grabbed a pack of crackers and we headed up to Troutman's Chevrolet to take a look around. We saw two vehicles up there that we both liked are we decided to sit and think on them right now. Once is another Malibu and one is an Imapla. We then headed on home. Once at home I took it upon myself to sweep my car out and clean the inside up some incase we would make a decision before the end of the month and this way my car is clean looking when it comes time to talk about a trade in price for it. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. Me and my father then headed up to the fire hall so he could take another look at the smaller hot boxes to see if they work or not. The one that is in the back room is the only one we looked at. The other one under the counter in the kitchen works, but it has a different set up that we don't know how it quite works yet. We then took a look at the one from the back room. That one is in such bad need of a cleaning. Everything on it is so sticky. Troy and his father then stopped in to pick up two tables for a party they are having this Saturday. We then headed on home and once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Demise of Medic 6

I left the house around 19:30 hours last night and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and grabbed a small bag of chips, a small bottle of chocolate milk and a whoopie pie and then headed to the station. I got there and parked and as I was walking towards the station, Eville's house siren went off. I quickly opened my fire pager up and it was for an outside fire in Wiconisco Township at Meadowbrook Coal Company. I went in and sat my suitcase on the one couch and put my stuff in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out and checked the supplies in the ALS room. I made a list of what I need to order, but want to wait until I get a few more things. I then checked the BLS supplies and then the four of us got talking. Zach told me that the tension was so thick during the day that you could cut it with a knife. Enders then said about the email, which I didn't know about because I hadn't checked my email yet. So when they left I did a quick rig check on 6-3 and then filled the paper work out and read the email that Steve sent out. I then checked a few other things. Jesse Frankestine then came in to do a few chatrs from yesterday and Bowser ended up talking to him about his hunting trip up to Canada. Tracey and Stutzman then came down to get some supplies and then the five of us got talking about a couple of different things. They then left and headed back up to Lykens and Bowser sat in the chair and read a book and I watched a few shows on the Discovery Channel. Around 22:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pains in Lykens Borough. 6-5 took it in and went to Harrisburg Hospital. I laid down on the couch around 01:00 hours and Bowser on the other couch and I left the TV on to watch the second hour of Dirty Jobs. Then around 01:05 hours, the tones went off for a pregancy in Lykens Borough. 6-5 had just gone available 5 minutes earlier and they took that call. Me and Bowser had gotten up I got the stuff back on my belt and was putting my boots on. He decided to call down to County and he asked the dispatcher if the lady sounded like she was close to delivering, and he said that the dispatcher told him that she thought the lady should get in the car and go to Pottsville that way. I laid back down and Bowser fell asleep before I did. I went to sleep around 02:00 hours and hardly got any sleep at all due to him snoring. I woke up this morning at 07:30 hours and got the stuff back on my belt and put my pillow away in my suitcase. I then got on the computer and checked a few things. Kathy and Steve then came in and the Tindell came in and we talked some about what was all said in the email yesterday. I then clocked out and took my suitcase and stuff out to my car. I then gave Kathy her t-shirt and she gave me the post cards she got me. We then talked a little bit more and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to help Bubba take a look at the riding mower. I got up there and Andy and Troy were there also and they had just finished putting the mower deck back together and it worked. We then sat outside the fire house and shot the shit for about 2 hours and then everyone left around 15:03 hours and headed on home. Once at home my mother was home from her appointment in Harrisburg and we talked for a little bit and then I got online and started looking at some new cars as I am currently in the hunt for a new one as mine is now 8 years old and sounds in rough shape. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 17:40 hours and headed up to Eville for the staff meeting. We ended up just having training as Boyer had to go to the special board meeting that was going on tonight. The training was on mine safety and it was kind of interesting, but long. After it was over, a bunch of us shot the shit and when we were out in the bay, we noticed that 6-3 was leaning to the right some. We checked the outside rear tire and it looked low. After much discussion, it was decided that Kathy should run it down to Koppy's and put air in the tire. She didn't want to go alone, so she asked me if I would go with here and I said sure. So we ran up to Koppy's with the unit and I put air in the tire and we took it back. They had already switched 6-5 in, so I spotted her while she backed 6-3 beside the station. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Work then Normal

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 11:45 hours. I got up and ate lunch and then I read the paper. I then got changed into old street clothes. I then went out and walked 20 laps on the driveway and then came back in and my mother and me talked for a little bit. I then left around 13:45 hours and headed up to the fire house to mow the lawn. I got up there and parked and then got the riding mower out. I mowed beside the old fire house and then moved my car there. I then mowed the lower lot and then the grass beside and behind the station. I then mowed around the hall and started on the grass in that lot. I got some of the lawn done and then the mower deck started making noises. I shut everything down and let the mower sit for a few minutes, then started everything back up and tired the mower deck again, with the same result. I shut the mower deck down and moved the mower over beside the station. I then got the front end up on two cinder blocks and checked under the mower deck. I cleaned some of the built up grass and tried it again, but still had the same result. I then started checking all the belts and then tired it again, same result. So I took the mower off the cinder blocks and put them away and then started the mower up and drove it around some and tired the mower deck again, same result. So I brought it back and parked it beside the station and then my father pulled in. I told him about the mower and he had me move it to the front of the station and he looked at it and said that most likely one of the bearings froze up. I then called Bubba and told him and asked him if he had a push mower and he said yeah and I asked him if I could borrow it and he said to talk to Robin. Me and my father then talked for a little bit and then he headed on home and I put the mower away. I then went down to Bubba's house and talked to Robin and got there push mower. It is not self-propeled so it was a work out for me, and also considering I haven't used a push mower since my sophmore year in high school. Once I was done, I put fuel in it and then put it back down at their house. I then got the weed whacker out and did the weeds. As I was heading down to the lower lot, it ran out of gas. As I was walking back up to the station, Jess came pulling in from work. I was kind of in a hurry and didn't wave as I was rushing around to finish up so I could get home and get cleaned up for work. I put fuel in the weed whacker and finished up and then put it away and closed everything up and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and ate dinner. I am now getting ready to leave for my 12 hour shift tonight in Eville. I will be home in the morning.

Feelings

I went to bed this morning around 06:00 hours once my parents left for my father's ERG. I got up this morning around 10:38 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I did a few things online. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a couple of more things online. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 17:53 hours. I got up there and Katina's vehicle was parked in front of the hall and LeeAnn's Jeep was behind the fire house. I parked and went into the station. Katina was on the computer looking online at another possible bingo option. I made copies of this tax law and then headed up to the hall and the three opf us shot the shit. The meeting went good tonight, it was a little longer then normal for a non-Bubba meeting. After the regular meeting was over I talked to Jess for a little bit and then they had their Fire Police Meeting. A bunch of us then stood outside and shot the shit. I then left there around 21:40 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

LTD Bingo

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours after doing some reading. I woke up this morning at 11:20 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch while I read the comics and the sports section. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 12:31 hours. I got up there and parked and as I got out, Bubba drove up beside the station and parked. He and Jas got out and Jas went into the hall and Bubba went into the station and grabbed a few things. LeeAnn and Katina were already there when I got there. When me and Bubba came out of the fire house, Schoffstall was pulling in. Bubba then drove around front of the hall and parked and came inside. I talked with LeeAnn and Troy about how the party went last night. Jess got there late so Robin sold the bingo cards and LeeAnn handeled the raffel tickets. We started bingo and it wasn't packed, but yet it wasn't bare, kind of in between those. Jess came in after the second game. LeeAnn had gotten her cards and played them the first half and then Jess played the second half. During half time I had a hot dog and a Pepsi and that was my dinner. After bingo was over a lot of us stayed and shot the shit about different things. My father then showed up to get things set up for class. Nancy then showed up and then we shot the shit somemore. We then had class, which lasted a little over 30 minutes. I then took the cardboard boxes down to the trash cans and then we all left and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on very late tonight as my father again has to go down tomorrow for his ERG test since it got cancelled last Monday. So if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Tonita Looked Beautiful

I left the house last night around 19:10 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got there and LeeAnn's vehicle was parked behind the fire house and I parked beside it. Troy's truck was parked in the lot beside the old fire house, as was Mandy's car. I went into the fire house and I took the pool fill pipe off of the Tanker and then took the nozzle off the Tanker and put it back on the trash line on the Engine. I then went down and stood by the van until Bubba came out of the house around 19:40 hours. LeeAnn showed up a few minutes later from down at Martha's house. Roller Dave then showed up and then Martha, Tonita and then Robin came up from the house. That was the whole crew that was going over to Shade last night, it was a very light crew. When Tonita got there, she got out of the car and she had on a sexy pair of high heels and her outfit of jeans, cami-top and green button up sweater, made her look so beautiful. We debated on who's vehicle we were going to take and we finally decided to just take the van and we would chip in some extra money. I then went up to the station and grabbed a few beers out of the fridge for me and LeeAnn and then got in the van. Martah drove and Robin sat up front. Then Bubba was in the first bench seat, then Roller Dave, then me and then Tonita and LeeAnn had the rear bench seat. We stopped at Shell and Jess was there getting gas. Her and Mandy were in the store. I had Tonita hold the beer I had just opened while I ran inside and grabbed a bottle of Gatorade and then got back in the van. I thanked her and then I held her beer so she could go say hi to Jaz and Mandy's son. We then continued on our way over to the bar. I had 3 beers by the time we got to the bar. Once we got there, Tonita asked me to dump the rest of her Miller Lite out, which I did and then sat it up front for the time beining. I then gave her my hand to help her out of the van and we all went inside. I hit the restroom first and then went to the bar and got a Coors Light and put in an order for chicken fingers. I got to sing 7 times total last night, and that inclkudes the two times with Martha. Bubba and some lady sang the song that me and Jess usually dance to, so I asked Tonita if she wanted to dance and she said sure. So we went out and danced and talked some more while we danced. We talked quite ab it on the way over in the van and while we sat at the table. Overall I had a good time and I know I had one beer in the van once we left the bar and then I fell asleep until we stoppd at Sheetz to fuel the van up and I woke up and was awake until we got back. Once there I got my bag and I took Tonita's bag also to throw away. I then got out and gave my hand to help LeeAnn and Tonita out of the van. I then said goodbye to them and Bubba and then threw the bags away and then got in my car and headed on home. I followed Tonita until I turned off to go home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went right to bed around 03:15 hours. I woke up this afternoon around 12:20 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper while I watched the Penn State vs. Temple game. During halftime I then walked my 20 laps out on the driveway and then went back to my room to do somethings online while I finished watching the game. We beat Temple but I can't remember the score right now. I then ate dinner around 16:45 hours. Bubba called me around 17:10 hours and asked me about how to maye a double sided copy. I told him that I knew, but had to be looking at the copier to do it and I was presently eating. I finished and then called him and he said that he still hadn't figured it out. So I told him I would be up in a few minutes. I then changed into street clothes and then left the house around 17:30 hours. Once up there LeeAnn was there and the one guy from New Jersey that she met down there was also there as he had come up. I went in and showed Bubba how to do double sided copies and then got talking with LeeAnn. She then said about going down and putting family fun day on the sign out front and she went over to get the letters out. The cabinet was opened and I grabbed a box of xl gloves and put them in the Utility. I then turned around and Tonita had walked in. The three of us then went down and changed the sign. The the three of us talked about different things. Mandy then showed up and then Jess showed up. Bubba was talking to the guy from New Jersey and I spent most of my time down in the lot beside the old fire house talking to Tonita and LeeAnn. Then when Jess came out we talked for a few minutes and then everyone was getting ready to leave and I said I was heading on home to work on a few things and I would see them all tomorrow at bingo. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another Weekend Night to Drink

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours after doing a little reading. I got up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper. When I was done reading the paper, I went outsideand started taking stuff from the front porch and flower bed around back so I could help my mother put the stuff away then. While I was out I saw Charlie, our chipmunk that we have every year. After I got everything around back, I did 20 laps of walking around the driveway and on the last lap got the mail. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of College Football between Penn State and Floridai International University. At 14:00 hours I pasued the game and went outside to help my mother bring the rest of the stuff from up front down around back and helped her put the stuff away. Once I was done helping her I went back to my game. My mother then went to turn the TV on around 15:30 hours and the TV wouldn't come on again. After fidiling around with the TV it finally came on. Again this is another warning sign that the TV is soon going to go on us. I then finished my game around 16:45 hours and the final score was 133 to 27, Penn State. I then got off around 17:05 hours and am now getting ready to do a few things online and eat dinner while I watch MASH on TV. I am then going to get changed into my club clothes around 19:00 hours and headed up to the fire house as we are going to Shade Mountain tonight for some fun, relaxation and drinking. I will be back late in the morning and won't be online again until at least tomorrow afternoon.

The Demise of Medic 6

I went to bed Tuesday night around 01:30 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and my suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to work. I stopped at the Tower Mini Mart and got a paper and then headed to the station. Once there I parked and took my stuff in. I sat my suitcase behind the couch and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in and did a quick rig check on 6-7 and did my date checks on 6-8. I then filled out my paperwork and did a few things online while Tim slept on the couch. I then got off the computer and sat down to read the paper. Then around 10:20 hours the tones went off for a call in Washington Township. MICU 6-3 handeled that call and I went back to reading the paper. Once I was done reading the paper, I turned the TV on and watched the Discovery Channel. Then around 11:54 hours the tones went off for an ALS call in Upper Paxton Township at SLV. Wertz took that in the squad. I then ate lunch and then Tim said about heading over to Gratz to walk around some. Once I was done eating lunch, we got in 6-7 and headed over to the fair grounds. We got there and there was hardly any cars there. We went inside the gate and nothing was opened. The head of security saw us and asked us if we needed the First Aid Station opened up and we said no and then we asked him what time the fair opened and he said 16:00 hours. So we got back in 6-7 and I said to Tim about stopping at Geovion's to eat lunch and he said that was fine. So we stopped and I had two slices of pizza and mozzerlia sticks. We then headed back to the Lykens station. We got back and I backed the unit in and then about 5 minutes later, Tim stuck his head in and asked me to move 6-7 out so John Schultz could get the Tanker out to take it to get some air in the one tire. I moved 6-7 out and parked it in the parking lot and said I was going to leave it out until he got back with the Tanker. We then went in and sat down and watch "The Love Guru" on DVD. Then around 15:30 hours I believe it was, the tones went off again for another call in Upper Paxton Township at SLV for ALS. 6-3 handeled that call with 13. Then around 16:45 hours Tim said about heading over to the fair again as it should be open by now and I said sure as I would grab something for dinner there. So we got in 6-7 and headed towards Gratz. Tim called Jim to let him know and Jim said something to Tim about not being able to find a medic to cover the open overnight ALS shift in Eville, and said that we should come down to the Eville station before the 20:00 shift change, and Tim said ok. So we were on Specktown Road heading to Gratz when we saw traffic in front of us slow down at the one curve in the road. Once we got around the curve, we saw up by the next intersection, an SUV sitting acorss the southbound lane and we could clearly see the side air bags delpoyed in the SUV. So I switched on the lights and Tim called into County and reported the accident. I then got out and went up and talked to the driver of the SUV while Tim went and talked to the lady and little girl from the Sedan. Once she said that she was fine and didn't want to be chcked out, I called county and asked them to dispatch PSP and Fire Police to the scene. The about a minute later I asked for the fire company to be dispatched also for fluid contorl. I got a refusal on the little girl from the Sedan once the mother got there and then the lady from the SUV wanted me to check her left side and I got her to sign a refusal also. Once the fire company got there we talked to Harry and told him what was up and then once we made sure that they didn't need us anymore, we went available and continued to the fairgrounds. We got there and parked and then stopped at the first aid station. Bruce and Pam were there and we talked while Tim smoked. Me and Tim then went down the midway looking at the different food stands. Once we got to the end we turned around and headed on back. I stopped and got to slices of cheese pizza and a bottle of Sprite and Tim got a hot sausage. We then sat down and ate and then Pam and Carl saw us and came over and we talked for a few minutes and then they went to get food and we went back to the first aid station and sat until they got back. We then talked for a few more minutes and then we got in 6-7 and headed back to Lykens. Once back at Lykens we watched TV until around 19:45 hours. We then locked the med bag up in the cabinet and then I gather evrything of mine up and we both got in our cars and headed down to the Eville station. I got there and parked and we went inside and as soon as we walked in, the tones went off for an ALS call in Williams Township. Tim went responding in the squad and met Williamstown while they were enroute to Evangelical Hospital. I put my Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then sat down to watch TV with Stutzman. He then ran up to McDonald's and got something to eat for breakfast. We then watched the new episode of Mythbusters at 21:00 hours. I then logged my two refusals at 22:00 hours and Tim got back around 22:30 hours. Stutzman got back up once Tim got back and we got talking. That was when he told me that the President of the Board, Mr. Robb Wentzel basically told Boyer that effective, October 19th, there will no longer be a BLS truck during the day in Eville. He thinks just becuase it looks good on paper, that two MICU's can completelt cover our entire territory. He also basically told the part times that they are now only being kept to cover for any full time that would take PTO or call off sick and to do special events. It gets even better. We were suppoed to get a 15% raise at the beginning o the year, well that got shot down. It is also roumored that the board is looking to do away with 12 hour shifts and make it a minimum of a 24 hour shift. I was so worked up over this, and actually all of us were. I finally went to sleep around 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 07:45 hours when Steve came in. I got the stuff back in my belt and put my pillow away. I then filled out my time card and then clocked out and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then called Bubba as when I talked to him last night he said that he had a greenhouse to wash out today. I called him around 12:30 hours and he said that he wasn't ready yet. So I got on the computer to do a few things. I finally called Bubba around 15:30 hours and told him I had a County EMA meeting tonight and had to leave around 18:00 hours and wasn't going to be able to help him. He said that was fine that he would get it himself. I then ate dinner and left the house around 17:50 hours and headed on down to Steelton to the County Comm Center for the meeting. The meeting and training lasted less then an hour and we were out of there before 20:00 hours. I then stopped at Giant and picked up some iced tea for my parents and then stopped at the fire house and did my weekly checkes on the medical bags and equipment on the trucks. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Still in the Low Mood

I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and woke up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to play some NCAA Football 2007. Well I had some problems loading up my campus legend, so I switched to NCAA Football 2008 and started a campus legend there. My mother then left around 15:30 hours to head down to Harrisburg to meet up with my brother so they could go to a concert tonight somewhere in the lower part of the county. By the time I got everything squared away, it was getting closer to 17:00 hours, so I then switched to NFL Head Coach and started that game again. I got off the PS2 a little after 17:00 hours and made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I then took a shower and had my snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

365 Days to go Until Wildwood 2009

I went to bed this morning at 06:00 hours when my parents left for the doctors on the West Shore. I woke up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read today's paper. I then read parts of Saturday's and Sunday's papers. I then asked my mother how things went at the doctor's with my father and she said that he didn't have the EEG test done. I asked why not and she said that they got down there and after they had been sitting in the waiting room for a few minutes, the recptionist called them up and said the lady that does the test called in sick today and it couldn't be done. My father understood, as did my mother, but she was a little pissed off that they hadn't tried calling the house to let them know. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of college football against Youngstown State, who I blew out of the water with a score of 217 to 0. I then got off and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. Bill then stopped by to pick up his 2 boxes of Salt Water Taffy and I talked to him about a few things. I told him I was depressed most ot the afternoon. I said to him I think it was that fact that I am back home and not around people of the opposite sex that I could talk to about things while I was on vacation, that in the fact that I feel lonely deep down inside. He then left and I took a shower and then ate a snack and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Wonderful Time in Wildwood

I went to bed Wednesday night around 00:30 hours and woke up at 06:30 hours Thursday morning when my alarm went off. I said goodbye to my mother as she was leaving to heard down to Harrisburg. I then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then got the rest of my stuff I need to pack in my suitcase and then went over everything one last time. I then loaded everything into the car and headed up to the fire house around 07:15 hours. I got up there and LeeAnn and Katina were already there and Bubba and Robin were loading up the Montero. Troy then showed up and then Josh, then Tonita, Schoffstall an then Robby. Once Robby got there I put my sun glasses and digital camera in the truck. I then put my suitcase and folding chair in the bed of the truck and then went up to the fire house and got my case of Coors Light out of the fridge and brought it down to the truck. Robby put part of my case in the cooler that we were going to keep in the back seat with us. Once everyone got setteled in and we made sure everything was loaded up, we left the fire house around 08:10 hours and headed into town. We stopped at Shell so everyone could fill up and Josh could drop his work truck off at Patton Tires. After Shell we headed on our way. We stopped at Perkins in Lancaster County to eat breakfast. I had three pancakes and a side order of bacon with a chocolate milk. After everyone was finished, we got back in our cars and headed on our way. We stopped at a Turkey Hill further on down the road so a few people could use the restroom and I grabbed something small to munch on. We then continuned on our way again. Robin took over driving after we left the Turkey Hill so Bubba could take a nap and get some sleep. Between that time and our next stop, Josh mooned Tontia's car and I mooned all three cars. Our next stop was at a Wa-Wa in New Jersey as I had to use the restroom this time, as by that time I had probally 5 beers in me. Overall on the way down I believe I drank 7 or 8 beers. We then got back on the road and we didn't stop again until we got to the motel. We stayed at the same place "The 5100 Motel" and we were in the same rooms again. Once we parked we started unloading everything. I took my stuff up and used the bathroom real quick and then helped bring other stuff up from Robby's truck and Bubba's car. Once we got setteled in, I went back to drinking. Robby and Josh headed down to the local beer distrubtor to pick up the half keg of Miller Lite. They got back with it and the owner came out and they talked. He never had a keg in the motel before and he wasn't sure if he was cool with the whole idea or not. So they ended up taking the half barrel back and got 2 cases of Miller Lite. Robin and I believe LeeAnn and Katina headed up to the store to get food and once they got back, Robby and Tandee went with Robin up to the store to get food for us. They were only going to get food for breakfast as we planned on eating out for lunch. They also planned on getting snacks to munch on. Meanwhile I just kept sitting on the front balcony soaking everything in and drinking. We had the same crew from Mt. Joy below us again this year, and they had a banner made up this year and hung it up. We got ours hung on the railing of the front balcony. Once everyone got back Robby and Josh headed on down to the beach. At one point Jess, LeeAnn and I believe Katina or Tonita went for a ride in LeeAnn's jeep which was parked out back. I went out on the back balcony for a little bit. I remember Tandee asking me where I was going and I said out back for a little bit to sit, and I remember Robby asking me if I was ok and I said yeah I was. I finished my beer and I put my can in the bag and then I either passed out or fell asleep, as the next thing I remember was waking up with Jess sitting on my one leg. She asked me if I was ok and I said yeah I was. Robby then came up and said about taking me in to lay down for a little bit. I said that I would be fine. Well Jess and Robby helped me into the bedroom. I kept saying I was fine until they got me to the foot of the bed, then I just flopped down in bed. I took my glasses off and my hearing aid out of my ear and sat them on the nightstand beside the table. Not long after I laid down, Troy came in through to get a beer and slapped my ass, I mumbled and he said "get up" and went back out front with a beer. He then came back in a little later and smaked my ass again and again he said "get up" and I just laid there. Well when he came back in from getting another beer, he panted me while I laid face down on the bed. I got up and pulled my pants back up and then grabbed another beer out of the fridge and went out on the front balcony. Robby, Tandee and Josh said about going down to the boardwalk and I said I would go down with them. Jess said no that I should stay there with her and Troy. I said I was fine and wanted to go. She told me that she didn't think I should go down to the boardwalk as I was drunk by this time. I agreed to stay there with her and Troy and everyone else went down to the boardwalk. At one point all three of us were on the front balcony and then Troy went in to get a beer. Earlier when we were sitting in traffic waiting to get into Wildwood, Jess had leaned out the front window of Tonita's car and yelled to Josh to get his fruit basket out, which he did. She then yelled for me to get mine out. I didn't at the time as I was on the opposite side of the truck from her and traffic started moving again. Well when Troy went in, I made the comment to Jess that since there was no one else on the balcony, and then I dropped my pants and boxers and got my fruit basket out for Jess. She was amused to say the least. Well before I could get my pants back up, Troy came back out and I shocked the hell out of him. I mainly stayed on the front balcony and drank until Jess called Troy back into the rear bedroom to ask him a question. I then heard her call me back and she asked me about pizza as they were thinking of ordering a pizza. I said sure I would go in with them. We tried calling Papa John's but they had closed, so we ended up ordering from Pizza Hut. After we ordered our pizza's, we then tried to figure out how we were going to get them since they said that they don't deliver. Troy said about taking Tonita's car, but we said we had to find a sober driver. So we went downstairs to the Mt. Joy crew and we got the wife to drive us to Pizza Hut. It was her and Jess in the front and me and Troy in the back. We got there and I ran in to get the pizza's and then got back in Tonita's car and we headed back. Once back we took the pizza's up to Bubba's room and we ate. By this time, the first wave of people that went to the boardwalk got back, which was Bubba, Robin, Jaz, Tonita, Schoffstall, Katina and LeeAnn. The second wave then came back and we talked about doing Thumbmasters. So we set the table up and had everything ready to go, and then Jess went out to make a phone call and we never got around to thumbmasters. Bubba, Robby, Josh and Troy played Yukor while I watched. Jess came back in at one point and then she had to get out again. I went to get up and she said never mind that she would go over me. She swung her leg over and then stop as she had gotten a little stuck and was not stradling me. I couldn't go back any further as my chiar was already up against the wall. She started moving again and I helped her get her leg up over me. We all kind of went to bed Thursday night around 01:30 hours. I got up Friday morning around 09:20 hours when I heard the pans rattle in the kitchen. I got up and I had already taken a shower that night so I didn't need to get one in the morning. I changed into street clothes and then had breakfast, two chocolate chip pancakes with three sausages, two pieces of toast and a glass of orange juice. I then had 2 beers and then we decided to head on down to the tents around 11:00 hours to go through them. I got 3 t-shirts at the tents, 1 for me, 1 for my father, and 1 for Kathy. There were some nice display's there, especially in the emergency light department. Josh and Robby then each got an offical convention mug and then we went over to look at the one section of apparatus on display. We went through the one area and Sherman's Dale's new ladder truck was down there. We took a look at that and some of the other apparatus sitting there. Spartan had a cool truck that was two cabs on the same frame. I guess it is used to show the different options of the two different chassis. We then went into a bar that they used to stop at all the time when they came down there 20 years ago and we had a few drinks. Me and Josh each had 6 beers, and I don't know how many Bubba and Robby had. We then headed back out and finished going through the rest of the apparatus they had sitting there. The last piece we looked at was a T-300 Crew Cab Kenworth Engine. Bubba, Robby and myself got in the back three seats to see how tight it was, and it was actually quite roomy. After that we headed back to the motel. Once back I put my goodies away and then started drinking again. A few of them sat down and played Yukor again. I fell asleep on the front balcony this day and I woke up about 2 minutes before Robby and Josh came out, as they were going to teabag me if I was still asleep. When I woke up I looked at my phone and I saw that Harry Welker had called me about 7 minutes prior to that. I called him back and talked to him to make sure everything was in line for the County Booster Meeting that night. We talked for about 10 minutes and then, back to drinking I went. We then decided where we were going out to eat at. We went to Neil's Steake and Chowder House for dinner. Jess, Troy and Tonita decided not to go with us. There was a 30 to 45 miniute wait for us to get two tables for us. While we were sitting there, I guess Bubba's pager went off (yes he brought it down with him) and we had a call for wires arching on Enders Road. Bruce and Kenny got the Engine out and Lonny took the Utility and Jason went to the scene. Meanwhile, back at Wildwood, I had a cheeseburger and fries with a 7 up, which I haven't had to drink in a long time. We then headed back to the motel and my now it was starting to rain outside. No one went down to the boardwalk that night as it really started to rain that night. The party was on our balcony that night with the gang from Mt. Joy up and a few of the guys from West Milford and two guys from Rhersburg from Berks County came over. One of the guys from Mt. Joy had a jar of cherries soaking in grain alcohol. Jess took a cherry and gave it to Josh from her mouth to his. Once I came out and sat down, she did the same thing with me and then she sat on my lap and we talked for a little bit and then we cuddeled for a few minutes and talked some more. She then went off to take a call on her cell phone. I went out back to sit again and drink and to get away from the crown on the front balcony. Naturally no vacation would be complete without a little confrontation between a few people. Up to this point there was, but I won't go in to detail about those. I will however go into detail about mine. I was sitting out back and Josh opened the back door and came stumbling out onto the back balcony. I looked at him and made the comment that he was cut-off. He said no and then bent down to put his two empty cans in the bag. I made the comment that he was either cut-off or he had to slow down. Now while he was bending down, he about went headfirst off of the balcony as he was that trashed. Well he stood up and looked at me with anger in his eyes and then before I knew it my neck was up against the wall and he was chocking me. About 2 seconds after he started chocking me, I reached out and started chocking him. Well this casued him to squeeze tighter. By this time it was getting hard for me to breath and I could barely talk anymore and I asked Josh to please let go, and he did after a few seconds. He then went in and slammed the back door and when he saw me get up, he braced himself against it to keep me out. I grabbed the door knob and lowered my shoulder and heaved into the door, sending Josh sprawling on the kitchen floor. I walked in and sat my beer down and told him he was done. Naturally Robby was now back here and Josh got up and said no and grabbed two more beers out of the fridge and went back out to the front balcony. I walked out back again and I said to Robby about him chocking me after I told him he was cut off. Well I guess Robby went out front and said something to Josh as he came out back again and appoligzed to me. That was when I found out that Josh got pissed off about 10 minutes prior to that because a few people on the front balcony didn't know an answer to a question that Josh asked them. From what I heard he then got pissed off and went down to the street and started walking towards the boardwalk. Robby said just around the corner on the other side of the street he heard a crash and saw Josh come back with two empty beer cans. I guess here he had dropped his mug and it broke into pieces and that was when he came stumbling out back. I then went back out front after Josh appoligized to me and I drank some more. I guess Josh had quite a few cherries and drank a lot of the juice and by 23:30 hours he was in the bathroom vomiting. He then came out and passed out on the couch and vomited again. I went in and saw it and came back out and got Robby. Robby woke him up and got him to change t-shirts and had Josh clean some of the vomit up and then Josh passed out again. I was up to around 03:20 hours Friday night as at one point I went out back to drink some more and Jess was sitting out back on the steps. I sat down in a chair beside her and Troy came out and got on the steps behind her and the three of us talked. Within a minute of 5 minutes Robby and Tandee came out and Jess passed out on the steps. Troy and Tandee helped her to bed and then we went upstairs and talked with Tonita and LeeAnn for a little bit and then I went to bed. I woke up Saturday morning around 09:45 hours. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and ate breakfast again, the same thing I had Friday. I always eat breakfast out on the front balcony as it is something I don't get to do that often. Jaz then came out and asked if I was going to go with the beach with them and I said sure and I went in and changed into the pair of shorts I brought along as I couldn't find my swimsuit before I left. It was myself, Jess, Tonita, Troy, Robin and Jaz that went down to the beach. I took my camera down to get some shots of the beach and I got Tonita to take a picture of me and Jess by the ocean. I then sat my camera on my towel and decided to get into the ocean. I only went out to about waist high as I had left my hearing aid in, don't ask me why I did, but I did. Well I was doing pretty good watching the waves to make sure they wouldn't hit my head. While I turned my back for 2 seconds and a wave hit me and I felt it hit my hearing aid. I got out of the water right away and went up to my towel and dried it off sat it there and went back in the water. I got out and then Troy came back in with me when I went in a third time. We went out kind of far this time and found some nice waves. The one wave I jumped to early and it swalloed me up, knocking my hat off my head. I was able to grab a hold of it and I came back up and Troy was laughing. Jess and Tonita headed back about 20 minutes before us. We left there around 12:20 hours and headed on back. When I got back, Bubba, Robby and Josh were getting ready to head down for the parade which started at 13:00 hours. I said I was going to grab a quick shower and then would be down, which is exactly what I did. After I got my shower, I grabbed my folding chair and headed on down. I got there as the beginning of the parade went by, so I cut it a little close, but was ok. I had 3 to 4 beers while sitting there watching the parade. The parade was nice, it lasted close to 2 hours and there were a lot of nice pieces of apparatus in the parade. We then headed back to the motel and Bubba said about getting in the pool, which sounded like a good idea. So I again changed into my shorts and headed down to the pool. Myself, Bubba, Robby, Tandee, Jaz and Josh all got in the pool. Myself, Bubba, Robby and Josh decided to play horse with the basketball and net that was with the pool. We played two games and then we got out and I went up and changed. I then had a few beers and we talked about going out to eat again at some 50's place. We left and headed there and it ended up being mostly an ice cream parlor. It was a cool place though, it had a ton of momerbilla in the place that we looked at after we were done eating. We then headed on back to the motel. Robby stopped at a bank so Tandee could get some money out and then he stopped and filled up the truck before heading back to the motel. Once back at the motel I had a few more beers and me and Jess and Tonita talked for a little bit and then I ate a cheeseburger that Robin made for whoever wanted. We then headed on down to the boardwalk. I got Taffy for my grandmother and Bill and some postcards for me and a keychain for my mother. Jess and Tonita stopped in a book store and Bubba, Robin, Jaz, Troy and LeeAnn continued on down to the second amusement pier. I said I was going to go look for some taffy and would meet them at the pier. When I was getting taffy I ran into a couple from Chambers Hill Fire Company and we talked for about 10 minutes. On my way back to the pier, I stopped and got some Dippin Dot's Ice Cream. Troy, LeeAnn, and Jess took Jaz on some rides and they went on some rides themselves. Robby, Tandee and Josh headed back first, and then Bubba and Robin went back and the rest of us headed to the first pier. They rode some more rides there and then Myself, Jess, Tonita and Jaz headed back to the motel. Jaz and Tonita stopped at, me and Jess sat outside on a bench and we talked some, and then once Tonita and Jaz got back we talked some more as we continued on back to the motel. Once there, Jess and Tonita headed back up to the boardwalk so Tonita could find something for her boyfried and to go ride the rollercoaster on the first pier. I changed into my shorts and t-shirt that I sleep in and started drinking again. I don't remember how many I had, but I know it was as much as I wanted to. The last time I looked at my watch it was 02:00 hours. At some point I left a quarter can of beer on the small table on the front balcony and went to the bathroom and when I came out I guess I laid down in bed. Robby said he woke me up and scared me half to death and told me to take my glasses off and my hearing aid out, as I guess I left them on. Apparently I did this and before Robby got out of the room I was asleep again. I woke up this morning around 08:30 hours. I got up and changed into street clothes and then packed everything back up in my suitcase. I then ate breakfast and then started cleaning stuff up and take the bottles down to the recycling cans and the trash and then we started loading up the vehicles. We left there a little before 10:00 hours and bid a fond farewell to Wildwood. We stopped at the WaWa's outside of Wildwood so a few people could get ice and Tonita could get gas and then we continued on our way. Our next stop was the Pilot so a few of us could yse the restroom and I grabbed a bag of chips to munch on. We then stopped at Fudruckers to eat lunch/dinner. I got the one pound cheeseburger with a side order of fries and the bottomless soda. I took my time and was able to eat the whole one pound cheeseburger. We then left and continued on home. Bubba and Tonita stopped at Sheetz to get gas and we stopped at Shell. LeeAnn kept on going and they were all gone by the time we got there. When we got back to the fire house Tonita, Jess and Troy had just gotten there a few minutes before us. I went over to my car and unlocked it and got my keys and then got my suitcase, folding chair, and bag out of the bed of Robby's truck and put them in them in my car. I then gave Troy my card from my camera to copy my pictures of to it. I then took the cooler from Robby's truck up to the fire house and got what was left over from my 2 cases of beer and put it in the fridge and then went over and copied down the information from the run sheet for the call so I can out it on the website. I then took the cooler back down and went over and talked to Jess for a minute about my pictures and then we all left to head on home. Once at home I unpacked and tlaked to my mother during the commercials during the race. Once I was done unpacking, I took a small nap and then took a shower and got online to start catching up on things. I am going to be up really late tonight as my father has a sleep study at 07:00 hours this morning and he has to be up at 03:00 hours and can't go back to sleep. So in order for my mother to get some sleep, I said I would keep him up once he got up. So if there are any sexy ladies out that that want to talk, just give me a buzz.

Tomorrow is the Day

I went to bed Monday night around 02:30 hours and got up Tuesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and my suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:27 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Tower Mini Mart in Lykens and got a paper and then headed to the station. When I got up it was rainning outside and every now and then it would pour down rain. As I was leaving the Mini Mart, Tim had pulled in, but he didn't see me. I got to the station and waited until the rain let up some. While I was waiting, Tim pulled in behind me. We both got out at the same time and made a dash for the door. He unlocked the door and went in and I grabbed his keys. I went in and sat my suitcase behind the couch and then put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge. I then clocked in as Yeager and Tracey woke up and got their stuff together. I did a rig check on 6-7 and then they all left and the Flipper called and said about going to breakfast. I said we would be down. I then filled out my paperwork and we got out stuff together, (laptop, portable radio, etc.) and then headed on down to Special Place. I had a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. After everyone was finished and we were sitting around talking, the tones went off for an ALS call in Halifax Borough for one of their frequent flyers. After Flipper left, we all left and me and Tim headed down to the Eville station to do a few things. I checked all the supplies and restocked what needed to be restocked and then sat down at the computer and logged on to look at the weather channel website. About the time I did that, the tones went off for a fainting in Lykens Borough at the one doctor's office. I logged off and we got in 6-7 and off we went. We got up there and got the guy loaded up and then took him down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. As we were going past Rutter Road in Jackson Township, Zach called Tim and said that Boyer was taking Flipper down to the medical center in Millersburg as Flipper had cracked his head off of the big ass metal lock box in the computer room. So we stopped at Eville and I helped Tim restock his gear and then I got on the computer and put an order in and then I sat down in the day room and read the day's paper. Flipper and Steve the got back and Flipper had a bandage on his forehead. Flipper, John and Zach then went up to Jo-Jo's to eat lunch around 13:00 hours. Tim then finished up what he was doing, we then got in 6-7 and headed back up to Lykens around 14:10 hours. Once back up at Lykens I ate lunch while we watched some TV. We then headed up to Tim's apartment around 14:50 hours to watch Emergency on TV at 15:00 hours. We headed back to the station at 16:00 hours. As soon was we walked into the day room, the tones went off for a call in Jackson Township on Harman road. 6-20 and 6-3 handeled the call. We then sat down and watched "Mars Attacks" on Tim's Xbox. Then around 17:45 hours the tones went off for another call, this time in Halifax Township. I sat up on the couch and asked Tim if he knew if Flipper transported with 6-3 and he said no, that they went BLS. SO I sat back down and finished watching the TV. Tim then turned the TV off and I got on the computer to check a few things and then played a game or two. Then around 19:05 hours, Flipper went available and County acknowledged him and told him to prepare to copy and respond. The tones then went off for an overdose in Williamstown Borough. Flipper came back and asked County if we were available and they said yes. Flipper then told County to have us handle the call since he was still in the Halifax area. I already had the portable radio in my hand and I put us responding while Tim ran to use the bathroom real quick. We then got in 6-7 and off we went. We got up there and the lady was loaded into 24-2 and I moved Tim's gear over to 24-2 and then the headed down to Harrisburg Hospital and I headed back to the Lykens Station. Once back at the station I called Flipper and asked him if he had found any coverage for the open ALS shift in Eville or not. He didn't even know about it and it was now almost 19:30 hours and to late to try and get someone. He said to just head down that way around 20:00 hours. I ended up leaving around 20:26 hours as I got caught up talking to Jim and Terry from the fire company. I stopped at Jo-Jo's and picked up a sub and some chicken fingers for dinner and then headed to the Eville station. I got there and took my dinner and my suitcase and everything else from 6-7 inside. Audrey was already there and I went in and sat my suitcase beside my couch and then sat down and watched Dirty Jobs while I ate dinner. Tim then got back and I helped him put his gear back on 6-7 except for the med bag, which we sat in the bay. Tim then ate dinner while we watched two episodes of Season 1 of Emergency. We are starting over until Season 5 comes out and I get it. He then went back in the men's bunk room to work on his charts and I got on the computer to play a few games. I then went to sleep at 01:00 hours. I woke up at 06:30 hours when the tones went off for a cardiac arrest in Upper Paxton Township. Tim got up and went responding in 6-1. 20-1 got on the scene and called a signal 12 and put Tim in service. He then came back and went back in the bunk room to do something and I went back to sleep. I woke up at 07:30 hours when the alarm on my cell phone went off. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away and then waited for Tim to be ready to head back up to Lykens. We left around 07:50 hours and headed on up to Lykens. Tindell and Steve were standing in the bay when we got there. I backed the truck in and then got everything out of 6-7 and then clocked out and talked a little bit and then left the station around 08:30 hours and headed down to Wal-Mart. Once there I bought a new Coleman's folding chair, and a few things for vacation. I then stopped at 209 Beverage and picked up a case of Coors Light and then stopped at Shell and got gas. I then stopped at the Eville station and talked to Kathy for a little bit and Steve a little bit and then left Eville around 09:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed out of my uniform and then finished packing my suitcase. I then read the paper and then I ate lunch while I did a few things online. I then got the mail before I got ready to head up to the fire station and low and behold I had a notice in there that I have jury duty next month. I am not real happy right now that I got jury duty. I don't know why, but I am. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire station around 12:45 hours to mow the lawn. I got there and the Tanker was sitting out. Robby was cleaning the inside of his truck and Troy had Tonita's car in the Tanker bay cleaning the inside of that. LeeAnn was in the hall and Katina's car was sitting there. I parked and asked Robby how long they would be and he said he didn't know. I said I would mow the two upper lots first and then hopefully they would be done and I could mow the lower lot then. I then got the mower out and it took me about 1 hour to mow the two upper lots. They had finished washing the cars by the time I was done. They then shot the shit a little bit. Robby then left and then myself, Troy and LeeAnn went down to talk to Bubba. Tonita then showed up with Troy's car and she came over and we talked. Bubba then headed back in the house around 15:00 hours to get his lunch ready for work and Tonita and Troy headed up to Burger King to get something to eat after Troy put the Tanker away. I then mowed the lower lot and was done by 15:45 hours. I then refilled the lawn mower and put it away in the old fire house and closed everything up and headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner while I did a few things online. I am soon getting ready to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz. A reminder that I will be leaving on vacation tomorrow morning and will not be back until Sunday evening.

3 More Days To Go

I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and got up this morning around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went back to my room and got my suitcase out and sat it on the bed. I then changed the pillow case on my pillow for work. I then sat down on the computer and typed up a list of stuff I needed to pack to go on vacation. Once I was done with the list, I got some of the things ready and have them packed already in my suitcase. I have to stop at Wal-Mart on the way home Wednesday morning from work and pick up a few things. I then sat down and typed out my two reports for the County Booster Meeting on Friday at Gratz. I then ate dinner while I did a few things online. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 18:00 hours. Once there I parked and went in the fire house. Lonny, Bill and the Casey's were already there. I helped Bubba with something on the computer and then I headed up to the hall for the meeting. The meeting lasted just a little over 2 hours. I then went down to the station and a bunch of us shot the shit. I then left around 22:10 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

4 More Days

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours after uploading my pictures from the party onto my myspace page. I woke up this morning at 09:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and ate a quick breakfast and then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 09:45 hours. I got up there and Bill was already there and in the hall. I stopped in the hall to grab the boot, but Bill had already grabbed it. Bubba and Robin were already up, as was Lee and his wife and Travis and a couple of the realitives from Indiana. I then headed down to the fire house and started loading the fire prevention stuff into the Utility and then loaded my gear and the signs in the back. I then pulled the Engine out and then pulled the Utility out and went over and hooked the trailer up to the Utility. I then moved the Utility over in front of the and went in to start the Utility up. It wouldn't start and I figured out that it might have been the battery since it has sat idle for almost 3 weeks as it was last started and moved when me and Troy took it up to Blue Knob. I pushed it out and then Bill helped me push it up onto the trailer and then we secured it. My father then showed up and he put his gear in the back and put his lunch box with water and snacks along with some signs he had made in the front seat. Once we got the four wheeler on the trailer. I backed it up and then backed the Engine in. I then had LeeAnn who had just shown up, pull the hose out and I started spraying the four wheeler down. She then came out with a bucket of soap and I washed it and then rinised it off. Troy then showed up and he gave me the money and I got the tickets out of his truck and then we left to head up to Wal-Mart around 10:37 hours. Bubba had pull started the four wheeler once it was on the trailer and we decided to let it run on the way up to Wal-Mart to charge the battery. Once we got up there, we unloaded everything and got it set up. Originally it was myself, my father and Bill. LeeAnn then came up and then Bubba came up and then Jess and Tonita stopped by for a little bit. We did very good, we sold over 50 raffel tickets and I think around 6 or 7 Daily Number Tickets. Around 16:45 hours, me and Bubba headed down to Burger King to get something to eat for dinner. I also picked something up for my father. We loaded everything up around 18:00 hours and then headed back to the station. Once there we put everything away from the Utility and then I put the four wheeler away and then the trailer and parked the Utility beside the station as Bubba was going to be pulling his car in the Engine bay to work on it. Robin then wanted to go down to Outback and use the gift card they got last night at the party. Me and Lonny hung out and I cut some couplings off of some hose that Keifer thought we could use. I then moved the rest of the junked hose around in the old firehouse. Bubba and them didn't get bacj until almost 21:30 hours. In that time I had played a few games of solitar up in the hall. I then told Bubba I would help him in any way I could with what he had to do to his car. I moved the Engine out and he pulled the Monterao in and he checked all the brakes and the tires and then a few other things. We closed up and left around 23:45 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

5 More Days to Go and HAPPY ANNIVESARY BUBBA AND ROBIN!!

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and woke up this morning around 10:45 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. I then ate lunch while I did a few things online. I then changed into nice clothes and left the house around 13:08 hours and headed up to the fire house for the party. It was still rainning out as Hanna passed through. I got up there and parked and then headed inside. There was some people there. I showed Bubba the front grill for the Federal Q and he told me to sit on the desk down in the station, which I did. I then gave him my card and put my mother's fudge in the fridge. When I took the cover down, I grabbed my six pack and bottle out of the fridge and moved them up to the fridge in the hall. People slowly started showing up. We ate around 14:45 hours while Bubba played the drums in the band he used to play with. Shortly after everyone was done eating, the alcohol started flowing. I started drinkining around 17:40 hours. I had a total of 7 Coors Lights and 2 shots of Aftershock. I sang quite a few songs, I think 7 total. 2 by myself and 4 with either Bubba, or Bubba and Troy. I danced with Jess twice and I horsed around with her, Mandy, and a few other people. I had a blast. At one point I smacked Jess's ass a few times and she made the comment that I should be careful or she would bite me. I smacked my chest and I said go ahead I don't care, and by golly she did, she bit me right around the same spot she bit me last Friday night at Shade Mountain. When I checked a few minutes later, I had a nice hickey just below my bruise from last Friday night. Truth be told, I actually kind of liked it. I had a great time at Bubba and Robin's 15th Anniversary Party and look foward to Wildwood coming up. I left the party around 24:00 hours and headed on home since we are taking the four wheeler up to Wal-Mart tomorrow to try and sell tickets again. Once at home I took a shower and am now going to bed as I am tired and have a slight headache.

I then got on the PS2 and played some Call of Duty 3. I got off at 16:30 hours and then watched some TV until 17:00 hours. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I then took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Let the Countdown Begin, 7 Days to Go

I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:05 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up a newspaper and then continued to the station. I got there and parked and headed inside. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then sat my suitcase, pouch and scope on the table beside the green couch and then clocked in. I did a quick rig check and then I talked with Kathy out back while she smoked. Capt. Carl then showed up and then Jim showed up for the day. I then went inside and ate breakfast while I filled out my paperwork and then checked a few things online. I then pulled up my wish list and went back to the websites to double check the prices that I had gotten last month, and naturally some of the prices had changed in a month's time. Then around 09:10 hours the tones went off for a fall victim in Gratz Borough at the Gratz Park Terrace. Capt. Carl was out in the bay smoking and I went out and got in 6-4 and then he got in and off we went. We got up there and I grabbed the clipboard just incase the lady only needed help getting up and Capt. Carl grabbed the BLS bag and we went in. When we found the apartment we knocked and then tried to open the door, but it was locked. Capt. Carl knocked on the door and tried to ask the lady if she could get to the door to unlock it or not. Meanwhile I went back down the hallway where we had originally went down and talked to one of the residents to find out if anyone had a key. The one resident said that the pt's daughter did, but she was down in North Carolina on vacation. She said that she would go upstairs and talk to another reisdent and get her to call maintenance to see if they could send someone over. Capt. Carl called county and asked them if they had a call back number and they told us to hold on. We then heard the phone in the apartment ring and then a lady from the medical alert company talking to her. The resident fomr upstairs came down and said that she couldn't get ahold of the maintance man. She said that we should have the number for her pastor who also has a key. We told her that we don't have any phone numbers for the pastor. She said that she would try calling. She did and came back and said that he wasn't answering his phone. County then asked us if we wanted the fire department and I said to Capt. Carl to go ahead and have county dispatch them class 3. I then said to Carl that I wish we had a set of irons on the truck. Engine 27 then got there and the guy came in and I told him that if the mainteance man wasn't there in 5 more minutes, we were going to have him break the door down. Well the mainteance man got there with 2 minutes to spare. He got the door unlocked and pushed it up and it stopped, she also had the chain on. The mainteance man reached in and tried to unhook it and he couldn't. We had told the guy from the Engine that he could go, but when we found the chain, I called him back. After about a minute of the maintance man messing with it, he told us we could break the chain, and I turned to the guy and said go at it. He took 3 swings with the Hooligan bar and the chain broke. We got inside and found her laying beside her bed in her bedroom. We got her up on the bed and after talking with her she decided that it was best that she go down to the hospital to get checked out. We got her loaded up and took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the station, I ate lunch while I went back to looking up prices for my wish list supplies and then looking for some supplies that Steve asked me to look for. Steve joked with Carl about him buying two pizza's for lunch and after about 30 minutes, Carl said that he would do that. So he ordered the pizza's and when it was time to head up, he asked me if I wanted to go along up, or would I rather stay here and continue working on looking up supplies for Steve. I said I would rather stay and it wasn't that far from the station anyway. So Carl left and was back in about 4 minutes. Once he got back I took a break and had 2 pieces of pizza and watched a little TV. I then got back on the computer and continued to look up supplies. Once I was done I then printed out my list and went over the BLS room. I had just started doing an inventory when around 14:03 hours the tones went off for a diabetic problem in Wiconisco Township at Meadowbrook Coal Company. 6-5 handeled that call and it ended up being a refusal. After I was done with the BLS room, I did the ALS room and then once I was done with that, I updated my inventory's on the computer. Once I was done with that, I went out into the day room and read the paper. I then got back on the computer and played a few games. The UPS guy then came in with my order that I had placed on Sunday. I signed for it and then took the two boxes of 1,000 NSS out to the ALS room. By the time I got to the bay's I had to sit the boxes down. I sat one on the back bumper of 6-1 and the other on the back bumper of 6-4 and that was when I noticed that the right side of the rear bumper was bent. I moved the boxes into the ALS room and then came back out to look at the bumper. I knew that the bumper was straight when I came in that morning and I knew it was straight once when we got back from the hospital, but I still tried to remember if I hit anything down at the hospital when I was backing in, and I couldn't think of anything. So I called Boyer quick and asked him if anyone had said anything to him and he said no. I told him about the damage to 6-4 and then went back to the day room and grabbed my other box and put the rest of the supplies away. Once I was done with that, I got back on the computer. Then around 16:30 hours the tones went off for a chest pains call in Schulykill County. Once again 6-5 took that call. Carl was now awake that the tones had gone off. I asked him to come out to the bay for a minute and jokingly I asked him what the hell he hit with the ambulance. He went shhhhh to me and then went over and looked at the bumper. He then made the comment that he didn't think he hit it that hard and and he didn't that it did that much damage. I now knew that he wasn't joking. I asked him what he hit and he said he hit one of those cement post at Koppy's when he went up to get the pizza's. He then filled out an incident report and I got back on the computer to play a game. Tim then came in around 19:30 hours and then 6-5 went available and Steve and Beef came down to restock and for Beef to log his narc numbers. They then noticed Tim looking under the rear bumper of 6-4 as did Jim when he came out. They asked what happened and Carl said that he accidently backed into a pole at Koppy's. Jim was surprised that Carl did not report it to the on duty supervisor. Everyone then left and then me and Tim got in 6-4 and headed up to Burger King to get something to eat for dinner. It took us awhile for us to get our food as it was really packed. Tim then said he had to run up to Wal-Mart to make a payment. I said I had to run to the men's department. We got up there and I went in and looked at belts, but didn't find one my size, so I went back out to the unit. I was standing outside when my cell phone rang and it was my honey, Kathy. She said that she could see me. I saw her truck and she said she wasn't in it. I started looking around and she came out from behind the ambulance. She then asked me if this was the truck that Carl hit the pole with. I said yes and she started looking at it and talking to me. She then went back in and John came out to look at it. After he looked at it he went back in and Kahty came out with her cart of stuff and we talked a little bit more and then we left and headed back to the station. Once there I ate dinner while we watched the last two episodes of Season 4 of Emergency. After we watched the first one, Tim went outside to smoke and then we sat down to watch the last episode. I had just started it when the tones went off for a ALS call in Lykens Borough. Once again 6-5 handeled the call and went to Hershey Hospital. After we finished with Emergency, I watched the Discovery Channel until I went to sleep around 02:00 hours. I was rocked out of bed around 04:10 hours when the tones went off for a CVA in Reed Township. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and and got my boots on. Tim hadn't come out of the bunk room yet, so I went back and told him to get up that we had a CVA in Reed Township. I then went to the computer room and put us responding before they hit for us again. When I came out of the computer room, Tim was coming out and we went out and both got in 6-4 and off we went. We got down there and helped get the lady loaded and moved Tim's gear over and then they headed down to Holy Spirit Hospital and I headed back to Sheetz. They got back a little before 06:00 hours and once Tim got his coffee, we headed back to the station. Once there and after helping Tim restock his gear, I went back to sleep around 06:30 hours. I woke up around 07:30 hours and decided to just get up. I put my pillow away and then got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots back on. I then filled out a time card and then took my stuff out to my car and then came back in and used the bathroom. John got there around 08:10 hours and I clocked out and told him about the truck and then left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's an went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 13:30 hours when Bill sent me a text message. I then got up and munched on some crackers while I read the paper. Bill then showed up with my check and then we talked a little bit and then he left. I then got the mail and then came back in and went back to reading the paper. My parents then came home from my father's doctor appointment. I then got on the computer to do a few things and then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things on the computer. I am soon going to leave to head into town to get my hair cut and once I get home I will be back online to check my email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
