More Demise of Medic 6
I left the house around 19:30 hours last night and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and grabbed a small bag of chips, a small bottle of chocolate milk and a whoopie pie and then headed to the station. I got there and parked and as I was walking towards the station, Eville's house siren went off. I quickly opened my fire pager up and it was for an outside fire in Wiconisco Township at Meadowbrook Coal Company. I went in and sat my suitcase on the one couch and put my stuff in the fridge. I then clocked in and went out and checked the supplies in the ALS room. I made a list of what I need to order, but want to wait until I get a few more things. I then checked the BLS supplies and then the four of us got talking. Zach told me that the tension was so thick during the day that you could cut it with a knife. Enders then said about the email, which I didn't know about because I hadn't checked my email yet. So when they left I did a quick rig check on 6-3 and then filled the paper work out and read the email that Steve sent out. I then checked a few other things. Jesse Frankestine then came in to do a few chatrs from yesterday and Bowser ended up talking to him about his hunting trip up to Canada. Tracey and Stutzman then came down to get some supplies and then the five of us got talking about a couple of different things. They then left and headed back up to Lykens and Bowser sat in the chair and read a book and I watched a few shows on the Discovery Channel. Around 22:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pains in Lykens Borough. 6-5 took it in and went to Harrisburg Hospital. I laid down on the couch around 01:00 hours and Bowser on the other couch and I left the TV on to watch the second hour of Dirty Jobs. Then around 01:05 hours, the tones went off for a pregancy in Lykens Borough. 6-5 had just gone available 5 minutes earlier and they took that call. Me and Bowser had gotten up I got the stuff back on my belt and was putting my boots on. He decided to call down to County and he asked the dispatcher if the lady sounded like she was close to delivering, and he said that the dispatcher told him that she thought the lady should get in the car and go to Pottsville that way. I laid back down and Bowser fell asleep before I did. I went to sleep around 02:00 hours and hardly got any sleep at all due to him snoring. I woke up this morning at 07:30 hours and got the stuff back on my belt and put my pillow away in my suitcase. I then got on the computer and checked a few things. Kathy and Steve then came in and the Tindell came in and we talked some about what was all said in the email yesterday. I then clocked out and took my suitcase and stuff out to my car. I then gave Kathy her t-shirt and she gave me the post cards she got me. We then talked a little bit more and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to help Bubba take a look at the riding mower. I got up there and Andy and Troy were there also and they had just finished putting the mower deck back together and it worked. We then sat outside the fire house and shot the shit for about 2 hours and then everyone left around 15:03 hours and headed on home. Once at home my mother was home from her appointment in Harrisburg and we talked for a little bit and then I got online and started looking at some new cars as I am currently in the hunt for a new one as mine is now 8 years old and sounds in rough shape. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 17:40 hours and headed up to Eville for the staff meeting. We ended up just having training as Boyer had to go to the special board meeting that was going on tonight. The training was on mine safety and it was kind of interesting, but long. After it was over, a bunch of us shot the shit and when we were out in the bay, we noticed that 6-3 was leaning to the right some. We checked the outside rear tire and it looked low. After much discussion, it was decided that Kathy should run it down to Koppy's and put air in the tire. She didn't want to go alone, so she asked me if I would go with here and I said sure. So we ran up to Koppy's with the unit and I put air in the tire and we took it back. They had already switched 6-5 in, so I spotted her while she backed 6-3 beside the station. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
