HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and woke up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and then sat down to eat lunch and read the paper. I had just started to read the paper and I had my fire pager cracked open, when I heard Eville get dispatched for a reported structure fire, fire in the wall. I decided to get up and go back to my bedroom and change into street clothes awhile incase the Tanker would get called to go to the scene if it turned out to be something big. After a few minutes though, the box was held to Company 21. I then finished eating lunch and reading the paper and then changed back into my pj's. I then ran outside and got the mail and then went downstairs and rode my 5 miles on the exercise bike. I am now getting online to do a few things and then am going to eat dinner and then start getting my costume ready for the trip up to Shade Mountain tonight. I will no be on later tonight, but will be back on sometime tomorrow.

A Day From Hell

I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:45 hours and got up at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and my suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottle togther and then left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at the Tower Mini Mart and picked up a paper and then continued to the Lykens station. I parked and got my stuff together and then headed inside. I walked in and Tracey asked me if Tim was my partner and I said no that it was Jim. Well he said that Tim called off sick and that Jim had headed to Eville and that I should head on down there also. So I went back out to my car and headed back down to Eville now to go to work. I got there and parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in and then put my lunch box and Gatorade bottle in the fridge. Jim was setting at the desk in the day room and Tindell and Kathy were sleeping on the couches in the day room. O'Neil was up front talking to the bitch and according to Jim he had been up there since he came in yesterday morning. I then went out and did a rig check on 6-7 and then went into the computer room and ate breakfast while I filled out the proper fourm. Then around 08:30 hours the day from hell began. Around that time the tones went off for a call in Upper Paxton Township. Me and Jim took that call in 6-7. As we were arriving on the scene there, the tones went off again for chest pains in Jackson Township. O'Neal and Boyer took that call in 6-8. Jim got cancalled and we headed back to Eville by going down through Halifax and back up through. Boyer went with Halifax down to the hospital and we went back to Eville. Jim had me stop at Koppy's so he could get something to eat for breakfast and then we headed back to the Eville station. We got back and were maybe back in the station for 5 minutes and the tones went off again for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. Once again me and Jim took that call in 6-7. On the way up county kept updating the information and Jim decided to call O'Neal and tell him to come up and give us an extra hand. We got the lady loaded up and took her down to Osteo. After we got what we needed, I ran back and visited with my grandmother for about 10 minutes and then we left. Jim needed to get something to eat, so we went to Arby's and I grabbed something to eat and then we headed on back. When we got back, 6-8 was gone and the bitch said that they went up to Wal-Mart to get something to eat. I then went out to the med room to get the stuff to restock Jim's gear when the tones went off for a fall victim, class 1 in Dalmatia. I quickly restocked Jim's gear and then yet once again we got in 6-7 and off we went for Dalmatia. As we got on the scene up there, the tones went off for a fall victim, class 3 in Lykens Borough. Once again Boyer and O'Neal took that call and went to Holy Spirit. I went back to the Eville station and sat down and started to read the paper. The bitch had already left for the day. My mother then called me and gave me and update on my grandmother. Not much had changed, but they decided not to do radation on her and she didn't really want it either. Jim them called me and I ran back up to Dalmatia's station and picked him up and then headed back to the Eville station. Once there I again restocked his gear and then went back in and sat down and started to read the paper again. Jim went into his office to take care of some business. About 5 minutes later the tones went off for a cardiac arrest in Millersburg Borough. I got up and told Jim and he said that he would be out in a minute. We got in 6-7 and off we went. When I finally landed at the scene in Millersburg, Jim grabbed the monitor and headed on in and I had Donnie Harris to grab the med bag and I put all the other bags in 20-1. The BLS crew from 20 and the crew from Attack 20 had already delivered two shocks to the guy by the time we got there and Jim shocked him 4 more times before they got him loaded up in the ambulance. While we were heading to the code, the tones went off again for a traumatic injury in Williams Township at the high school and Boyer told them to go next due. Then while we were working on getting the guy loaded up at the scene of the code, the tones went off for breathing problems in Halifax Township. Apparently Tim went to the doctors and talked to Boyer about coming into work last night, but when he heard the code come in, he switched his scanner over to Med 9 and then heard them dispatch the Williamstown call. He was trying to catch that call when 24 placed ALS from Schuylkill County in service and then he took the call in Halifax. They were going to land Life Lion in Millersburg but as we were loading the guy in the ambulance, Life Lion had a 12 minute eta. So they changed the LZ to Station 29 and off they went with me and O'Neal chassing 20-1. Tim then went by in 6-4 heading towards the Halifax call while we were sitting at the LZ. They flew the guy out and then we moved Jim's gear back to 6-7 and then we started back up to Eville. Scott Paul had dropped 6-4 off at the LZ and Boyer took it back to Station 13 and O'Neal picked him up. As we were heading back up to Eville and the tones went off for a fainting in Washington Township at the Upper Dauphin High School. Both units ended up going to the scene but Ambulance 6-4 signed onto the air for it. It ended up being a refusal and both units went back to the station. I helped Jim restock his gear and then I ate dinner while I logged my refusal and checked a few other things online. Tim then got back with 6-4 and then around 19:30 hours I got my stuff together and then left and headed back up to Lykens to meet up with Wertz who was coming in for the night shift. I then finished reading the paper while I was up there. I got to take a tour of the back streets of Eville since their Halloween parade was going on and when I got to Lykens, their Halloween parade had just ended. I then parked at the Lykens station and fought my way through the crowd and headed into the day room. Wertz then showed up and he started to check his gear, but it was getting to crowded so we loaded up and headed on down to Eville so he could go over his gear and log his narc numbers. We then left and headed back up to Lykens. We stopped at Ciao's and grabbed something to munch on for the night and then went back to the station, where Wertz sat down and watched the World Series. He then popped in a John Wayne DVD and we watched McClintock. Then around 23:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pain, class 3 in Wayne Township and O'Neal and Tim took that call. I then watched Mythbusters until 02:00 hours and then went to sleep. I was rocked out of sleep around 05:20 hours when the tones went off for a call at SLV. 6-7 took that call and I reset my pager and went back to sleep. I was again rocked out of sleep around 05:35 hours when the tones went off for a fall victim, class 2 in Jackson Township. Wertz was all gun ho to go on the call so I humored him and got the stuff back on my belt and then got my boots on and got in 6-4 and off we went. Before we got out of the borough, they went responding and we were placed in service. We then stopped at Shell so Wertz could get a cup of coffee and I grabbed something to drink and munch on and we headed back to the station. Wertz played another movies and I went back to sleep. I was woken up around 08:00 hours when John called my cell phone for me to let him in since he had forgotten his keys. I went over and opened the bay door for him and then I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and put my pillow away in my suitcase. I then left around 08:20 hours and talked to Bill on my way down to Wal-Mart. Once there I picked up some stuff to make my Halloween costume for tomorrow night and then I headed on down to the Eville station. Once there I filled my time card out and then left and stopped at Swab's to see how they were coming along with te body for the Squad. They got most of the compartments done. I took a few pictures and then heaed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 14:30 hours and I got up as my mother was coming in the door. My grandmother is going to be coming home tomorrow. They put a chest tube in her this morning and that is going to stay in her now until she passes away. I then read the paper and then once my father got home the three of us talked about what all needs to be done. I then ate dinner and then I changed into street clothes and answered the door for trick or treat. We had a total of 39 kids come to the door. I then took a shower around 20:30 hours and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

No Driver

I went to bed last night around 03:00 hours and was rocked out of bed this afternoon at 12:46 hours when the fire pager for Smoke from a TV in Halifax Borough. I got out of bed and got socks and my jeans and shoes on and then grabbed my wallet and pager and then my keys and got in my car and took off for the fire house. I got there and pulled in and noticed that the Montero wasn't in the driveway so I knew that Bubba and Robin were still down at her stress test. I parked and as I was unlocking the door, Eric pulled in. I went in and kicked my shoes off and got in my bunker pants and then Eric came in the station. I went over and opened up the Engine bay door and then unplugged the Engine and started it up. Schoffstall then pulled in and he came in and got his gear on and then Ray came walking around the front and I was leaning up against the Engine. He asked if there was no driver and I said yes. We never got off the floor and Command 29 held the box to what was on the street. I then shut the Engine off and plugged it back in and then closed the bay door. I then filled out a run sheet and sat it back on the desk and then changed out of my gear and we all left and I headed on home. When I got home my cell phone was beeping, meaning I had a missed call on it. It was Bubba, who I thought it was going to be. He told me that as I already knew, he was down with Robin, Dave was working the day shift, which I kind of figrued, Jason was already committed to a project and couldn't leave, which we also thought of, or he was out in the field working. Robby was on a call with Berrysburg, Troy was still in work, Lonny was still at work, and my father was at work. I then read the paper and then got on the computer to play that game that I am so addicted to. My mother then came home and I talked to her. They are not talking about brining Hospics in once they send her home. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things on the computer. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 18:00 hours to meet up with Bubba. I got there and LeeAnn was also there and she was heading into the fire hall. I parked and went inside and Bubba was on the phone talking to Robin. I then updated the stuff for the Squad on the website. Troy and Kenny then showed up and then House. We all then sat around and shot the shit. I then left there around 20:15 hours and headed into town to get my hair cut. Once I was done in there I headed on home. I stopped at Wil and Jody's house to hit them up for fruit and I ended up talking to Jody for 1-1/2 hours about Medic 6 and my grandmother. I then left around 21:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then packed my lunch for tomorrow and then ate a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Overtime

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and was woken up around 06:36 hours by a bright light being shone in my face. I woke up and it was my father with his flashlight, the power had gone off. I then set my watch alarm for 07:10 hours and got a little bit more sleep in. I got up at 07:10 hours when my watch alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and grabbed my Gatorade bottle and then left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and once again no one was there as there was no medic for the night shift. I parked and took my stuff inside and I noticed that 6-3 was gone. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then clocked in. Shortly after I did that, Zach came back with 6-3. He then clocked out and left for home. He told me that the truck hadn't changed since I left Saturday morning. So I went out and got the updated mileage off of it and then ate breakfast while I filled out my form on the computer and checked a few other things. Jim then called and said that he was coming up from Eville since Tim wanted to switch stations with him. Jim then got there and I sat down and started to read the paper. Jim then said he wanted to go for breakfast, so we got in 6-3 and headed on down to Burger King. We ate breakfast and then headed back up to Lykens. I then finished reading the paper and then walked my 30 laps in the bay. I then came in and sat down at the computer to play a game or two and Jim said that since we couldn't find anyone to stand-by at the Little Tigers game in Lykens, that we might as well head over there now. So I took my lunch box with me and we headed on over and parked so that we could see the football field. I then ate lunch around 13:00 hours. Then around 14:00 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Wiconisco Township. Jim had told Stutzman and Tim that they would have to be first due since we were standing by, so they ended up taking the call. They took the lady down to Harrisburg Hospital. We left there around 16:45 hours and headed back to the station. As I was getting ready to back in, my cell phone rang and it was Jess. She called to ask me if she had given me Daily Number Tickets and I said yes. She then said that she couldn't account for 175 tickets. I told her to get ahold of Troy as I thought he had them. Once there I got on the computer and played games until 20:00 hours. My mother then called me and said that my grandmother now has full blown Phenumonia. Jim got something to eat around 18:00 hours and I got something to eat from Ciao's around 19:00 hours. Ron came in at 20:00 hours as he thought he was up there, when he was really supposed to be in Eville and Tim was supposed to come up for the night shift. Well around 18:30 hours, the tones went off for a CVA in Mifflin Township, and they ended up going to Hershey Medical Center. Well then around 20:15 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Halifax Township. Ron was out front smoking and I went out in the bay and told him and we got in 6-3 and off we went. We ended up getting canceled as we were coming past the fruit stand in Matamoras. We turned around and Ron had me stop at Sheetz so he could grab something to eat. I had sent Jess a text message just before the call came in and she sent me one back while I was driving. We then started texting back and forth and then I finally called her as I was gettinf ready to drive again. We talked for a bit and then I hung up and we made it back to Lykens. I then finished eating and watching my shows on Discovery Channel. I then got on the computer around 11:00 hours to play some more games. Then around 00:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pains in Wiconisco Township. Ron had just gone to bed and he got up and then we got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and Ron drove down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. Once back at the station I did my paperwork from the call and then played a game that I am now addicted to until 04:00 hours and then laid down on the couch and went to sleep. I woke up around 07:45 hours when Ron was getting his stuff together and Jim came in. I rolled over and went back to sleep. I then woke up around 08:30 hours when I heard a loud crash out in the bays. I sat up on the couch and saw 6-4 going out the bay door, so I thought Jim hit something with it, which wouldn't surprise me at all. I got up and got the stuff back in my belt and put my boots back on and put my pillow away. I then went out in the bay and helped Jim back 6-3 in as we had to switch units around. I then went back in and sat down on the couch and watched TV. I then laid down again and fell asleep again and woke up around 10:30 hours. Jim then said he needed to get something to eat for lunch. So we got in 6-4 and I ran him down to Tower Mini Mart and he got something to eat and we headed back to the station. I then sat back down on the couch to watch TV. Zach then came in around 11:35 hours and I clocked out, got my stuff together and then left. I got in my car and stopped at the Susquehanna Bank in Eville and cashed my check and then headed up to Swab's. I stopped in to see how things were coming along on the body and they had two compartments welded together, so it was a little bit more then when I stopped Friday morning. I then went over to the main office and got myself one of the new t-shirts for $10.00 and then I headed on home. Once at home I changed into my home clothes and then ate lunch and then read the paper. I then uploaded pictures onto a CD for Troy and then made a copy of the one set of minutes from July for Robin. I then got in my car and headed up tp Robin's house to drop the minutes off, but no one was home, so I headed back home. I had passed my mother as I was heading up to Robin's hosue and when I got back I helped her take a few things in from her van. She then told me what all is new with my grandmother, and it is not good. On top of what she all has, she now has a collapsed lung. Also they can't start radation until the Penumonia and blood clots clear up, which might be awhile. Plus the cancer doctor and my grandmother talked and my grandmother might not do the radation, since all it well do it make her comfortable until her time comes. They also said about calling Hospis once she gets out of the hospital to help take care of her at home. So, as hard as it is to say, I for one feel that there is nothing more that can be done, but I am taking a positive outlook onto this. Anyway, I then got back on the computer and played that game some more and then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then got my shoes on and headed back up to Robin's house to drop that paper off. I got up there and Robby's truck and LeeAnn's vehicle were parked behind the fire house and Lonny's car was parked down at Bubba's. I parked on the right side of the old fire house and then went down to the house. Jess let me in and I gave her the paper. Lonny was sitting there watching TV and Jaz was on the computer. Robin then came out of the other room and I started talking to her about my grandmother and some other things. They then left to headed into town and I left and made a stop to see about fruit, but the person wasn't home. I then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

One of Each Kind

I went to bed Thursday night around 03:00 hours and got up at 06:50 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and then left the house around 07:00 hours and headed up to Swab's. I stopped at Swab's and grabbed my camera and headed over to the shop to get pictures of all the materials in a pile that are going to become the body of our new Squad. I then left and stopped at Koppy's and grabbed a bottle of Gatorade and a newspaper and then continued on up to Lykens to go to work. I got there and no one was there, as they had no medic for the night shift in Lykens. I parked and took my stuff inside and put my lunch box and Gatorade Bottle in the fridge and then clocked in. I then did a rig check on 6-3 and then ate breakfast while I filled out my form for the rig check on the computer and checked a few other things. Fortney then came in about 10 minutes after 08:00 hours and said that the night shift from Eville was out on a call. He then checked his gear and asked about breakfast and I said that I already ate, but if he wanted to go somewhere, we could. So we headed on down to Special Place and ate breakfast. I had my usual, a side order of toast and a side order of white toast. After we were done eating, we headed back up to Lykens. Once back at Lykens, Fortney went to bed to get some sleep and I did my 30 laps in the bays and then got on the computer and played games. I ate lunch while I was on the computer around 13:00 hours. Tim had called around Noon and asked if Fortney wanted to do anything to lunch and he said that he was fine and went back to sleep. I had sent Boyer a text message asking him to stop at the Lykens station on the way home so I could talk to him. I brought him up to speed on my Grandmother. I told him that if it was ok, that if I would ever get a call while I was at work, that she was starting to go down hill, if once I talk to the Supervisor, I could leave. He said he didn't have a problem and he is not one to stand in the way of a family matter. The tones then went off around 15:45 hours for breathing problems in Millersburg. 6-3 handeled that one and Fortney then got up and asked me if I had eaten lunch and I said yeah and asked him if he wanted to go anywhere and he said he would get some chicken from Wal-Mart. We then headed on down to Wal-Mart and he got something to eat and a few other things. While we were in Wal-Mart, I heard 20-2 go to the hospital BLS and 6-3 go available. We then headed on down to the Eville station to see what was going on. I then put the new Reeves stretchers on 6-5, 6-7, 6-8, and 6-3. I also put the pediatric backboard and new shortboard/speedboard in 6-3. I then loaded the stuff in the back of 6-3 that needed to go on 6-4. I then pulled the scope from 6-4 off of 6-3 and took it out back and put it with the other two. I then grabbed the webbing from the rope bag that came off of 6-1 and was about ot put it in a bag, when the tones went off for a fall victim in Lykens Borough. I threw the webbing on the one couch in the day room and asked Stutzman to help me get the stuff out of the back of 6-3 and then me and Fortney got in and off we went. We got there and got the guy loaded and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. While we were going down, the tones went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. Tim handled that in 6-7, as the siren on 6-2 isn't working, and also as Stutzman had to go with Enders to cover the football game. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Shell and I got fuel and then we continued onto Eville. We then stopped at the Eville station and Fortney finished his tripsheet and I helped him restock his gear and then we left to head back up to Lykens. We stopped at Koppy's so Fortney could pick up a few things and then we continued on back to Lykens. As we were starting into Lykens, we heard Enders get on the radio and call county and ask for an ALS unit to be dispatched to the Upper Dauphin High School football field for a traumatic injury. I turned down a side street and then back onto the main street and we headed for the high school soocer field as Fortney asked about the status of Life Lion. A few minutes later, Stutzman called and asked county the same thing and they told him that it was already on stand-by and he told them to put it in the air. We got there and then they came over from the field and we got in the back and Fortney started getting IV's into the kids arm. Life Lion then got there and the kid was transferred to them and then we went available. I stopped at Koppy's now and got another bottle of Gatorade and a bag of party mix and then we stopped at Burger King so I could get something to eat for dinner as the time was now after 22:00 hours. We then headed back up to Lykens. Once there I got the stuff out of the back of 6-3 and got it on 6-4 and then went in and sat down to watch TV while I ate dinner. Boyer then sent me a text to come out front as he was out front talking to Fortney and wanted to shoot the shit. While we were talking, around 23:05 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Wiconisco Township for a frequent flyer. I let Fortney drive to the scene so I could finish eating my dinner and it ended up being only abdominal pain and was released to BLS and we got him in the truck and took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. While on the way down, Bubba had called me and I told him I would call him back in 30 minutes as I was on a call. After we got what we needed, we headed on back to Lykens and I talked to Bubba for about half of the time. When we got to just before Dollar General, we noticed that traffic was slowing down and then we saw why, there was a PSP DUI Checkpoiunt and John was there helping out. Once back at the station I did my tripsheet and then laid down on the couch and watched TV. I then called Bubba again and joked with him about the DUI Checkpoint and he asked me if I had tried to get ahold of Jess and I said I didn't know that she had gone out and he said that supposidly her and Brian went out somewhere. So I called her cell and she didn't answer and I left a voice message for her. I then went to sleep around 02:45 hours and woke up this morning at 07:45 hours when I heard Zach come in the station. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away and then clocked out and left after giving my report to Zach and I headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I then got up this morning at 11:00 hours. I got up and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 12:00 hours and headed on down to Osteo to visit my Grandmother. Before I left this morning, my mother did tell me that they did diganose my Grandmother with lung cancer yesterday. I got down there and parked and then headed to the ICU. My mother had told me that they were planning on moving my Grandmother into a regualr room today, but she didn't know when. I got to the ICU and they had already moved her as she wasn't in her room. So I asked the nurse where they moved her to and she told me and then I headed to her new room. I went in and sat down and we talked. My Grandfather then came in, followed by my brother. The four of us then talked some until my grandmother started to look like she was going to fall asleep. We then left and I headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then stopped at the fire house and dropped off the bag of webbing and then headed on home. I am now soon going to eat dinner and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight as I am going to watch the Penn State vs. Ohio State game on TV. So I will be on late so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

More Changes to the Squad

I went to bed last night around 03:10 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:39 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper. I then went downstairs and did 5 miles on the exercise bike. I then came upstairs and got on the PS2 to play some Test Drive: Eve of Destruction. My mother then got home around 14:45 hours and I helped her bring fodd in that she got from the store and then I asked her how my Grandmother was doing. She said that she looked worse today then she did last night and that her chest sounded junky again. Then she talked to the nurse and the nurse told my mother that the mass on my grandmother's lung is very large and that it is still actively growing and pushing on her lung and that she was going to have good days and bad days and today was one of the bad days. I then got off the PS2 and helped my mother hang up some Halloween decorations outside and then came in and got on the computer to do a few things. I then made and ate dinner around 15:45 hours. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 16:30 hours and headed up to the fire house to help with Fire Police training tonight at the fire house. I got there and Bubba wasn't in the station so I went down to the house and talked to him and Robin until he left to head up to the station. The only three people who showed up were Jean, Robin, and Michelle, and Jess would have come except she had to work overtime. We then sat in the fire house and shot the shit. Michelle then left when it was said that they weren't going to do anything. Jean then left after we talked for awhile. Jess then got home and Jaz came up to the station. They Bubba said that they were going into Dennies to get something to eat. He asked if I wanted to tag along and I said sure. So it ended up being me, Bubba and Lonny in Bubba's vehicle, and Jess, Robin, and Jaz in Jess's vehicle and we headed on in. I only got a soda to drink since I had already eaten at home. We talked about many different things and once we were done, we headed back to the fire house. While we were heading back, Bubba called Troy and asked him to come up to the hall to take a look at the changes they had to make to the squad. Bubba then had me go open the hall up awhile and he got the drawing and then him, Lonny and Jaz came up to the hall. Once Troy got there, Bubba went over the changes and we had some discussion about some different things. We then all left around 20:43 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then packed my lunch for work tomorrow and then had a light snack while I got on the computer to do a few things. Then at 22:26 hours the fire pager went off to assist PSP with an accident on Mountain House Road, class 1. I slipped out of my pj's pants and got my socks and jeans on and then my shoes and grabbed my wallet, cell phone and pager and then my keys and got in my car and took off for the firehouse. I got there and parked and then ran inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. Bubba had already pulled the Engine out and was sitting on the ramp out front. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet and headed out the front door to the officers seat. I then ran back and closed the Engine door and then got back in the Engine. LeeAnn then got in behind me and my father got in behind Bubba and off we went. We got there and Robby, Dave, Matt, Lonny and Jean were already there, along with PSP. Bubba had LeeAnn chock the wheels so me and my father could do patient care. I got off the Engine and Robby showed me to the driver and I checked him out. He wasn't hurt, but Robby said he called for EMS to get a refusal signature, which I siad would be the best since he did roll the car over. Fred and Joey then got there with the flat bed and they flipped the car over and got it loaded. The bimbos then showed up with the ambulance and I gave Sue my report and then walked away to go help with cleaning up the road. Once everything was cleaned up, we shut the generator down and put the lights down and then went available amd went back to the station. Once there I put my gear back in my stall and got my shoes back on and then finished filling out the report for Bubba. Robby had gotten all the information from the patient for our records. Bubba then got times and entered the call into the computer. I then helped LeeAnn fill the floor dry bucket up and then I put it back in the hose bed. Dave then had to leave because Holly called and said that some of there cows got out at the farm. We then all left around 23:50 hours and I headed on home. I am soon going to bed as I have to get up early tomorrow to go to work and I am tired.

Halloween Parade

I left the house last night around 19:20 hours. John had called me around 18:00 hours and told me to just come into Eville since there was no night time medic for Lykens which is where I was supposed to work last night. I stopped at Koppy's and got a bottle of Gatorade and something to munch on for the night and then headed to the Eville station. I got there and parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in. I put my Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then heard Flipper come in. I saw that I had 4 boxes of supplies sitting in the BLS Room. I then went through them and they were all ALS Supplies. So I took that stuff out to the ALS Room and put them away and I saw another box sitting in front of the restock cabinets in the bay and I put that stuff away. I also saws the boxes with the other 4 Reeves Stretchers in them and 6 boxes with the new shortboards/speedboards in them. John and Zack then got back and Zack left and took 6-3 back up to Lykens. Steve then came in and I had him take the rest of the stuff off of 6-1 and then John said that Boyer told him to tell me to put away all the stuff that came out of the old 6-1, which I did. Tim then came in and I had him listen to my lungs and he said that they sounded clear to him, which made me feel good. While me and Steve were working on the stuff, we heard Berrysburg get dispatched to a possible structure fire in Mifflin Township. Me and Steve got in 6-5 and headed over to the scene even though we weren't offically dispatched. We got there and it ended up being a gas stove fire, which was now out. I got to take a good look at Berrysburg's new Engine and then the box was placed in service and we headed on back. I ran up to Koppy's so Steve could get something to eat and then headed back to the station. Tim had run up to Lykens to garb something about the same time that we left for the fire call which was around 21:00 hours. Once back at the station I finished putting the stuff from 6-1 away and then marked up the Reeves and then took the speedboards into the day room and marked them up while we watched Iron Man on DVD. Tim then came back while we were watching the movie. I finally finished marking the boards and got them on 6-5, 6-7, and 6-8 and sat the two for the Lykens trucks out in the bay with the two Pediatric Backboards that need to go up to Lykens. I then sat down to watch the end of the movie. Once it was over, Steve went to sleep and I stayed up to watch Dirty Jobs on the Discovery Channel. Around 00:45 hours the tones went off for an overdose in Williams Township. Tim handeled that call in the squad and then I finally went to sleep around 02:00 hours. I was rocked out of sleep at 05:00 hours when the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. The lady that called ended up telling County that she didn't want an ambulance. Tim headed up in the squad and me and Steve headed up in 6-5 class 3 to check things out and once it was determined that no one was home at the residence, we headed back to the station. Once there I went back to sleep and was once again rocked out of sleep around 06:00 hours for a CVA in Mifflin Township. Tim took off in the squad and me and Steve headed off in 6-5. It ended up being a ALS call and Steve abd Tim took it and I took 6-2 back to the station. I ended up stopping at Koppy's so I could grab another bottle of Gatorade and then headed back to the station. I was wide awake and couldn't get back to sleep, so I stayed up and watched TV. Tindell then came in around 07:50 hours and then Matt came in at 08:00 hours and I clocked out and we actually ended up talking for about 45 minutes and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this morning around 11:55 hours. Once out of bed I ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and ran into Giant and picked up two gallons of Diet Iced Tea and 3 bags of chips and a few other things and then headed on home. Once at home I put everything awat and then got on the PS2 to play a game of College Football. I played Illinois and won by a score of 96 to 72 I believe it was. It was a very high scoring game. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 18:00 hours. I got there and LeeAnn, Schoffstall, Andy and Kenny were already there and Troy was still coming also. It ended up being myself and Schoffstall in the Utility and Andy, Troy, Kenny, LeeAnn and Jaz in the Engine. We left around 18:45 hours and headed into the Halifax Borough Park. Once there me and Schoffstall moved our gear out of the back and we set the generator up on the rear of the tailgate and then put our gear back in and then set the lights up on the Utility to face foward. The parade was about as long as it usually is, which was a surprice considering that Millersburg also had their Halloween parade tonight. After we got back to the park and the parade was finished. Jess came up and picked up Jaz and we all talked for a little bit and then we left and headed up to Shell to get fuel in the trucks and top off the generator's with fuel and then headed back to the station. Once there I backed the Utility in and then Andy backed the Engine in. Katina was there waiting for Schoffstall. I then put my gear away and then we all talked for a little bit and then we all left and headed on home around 21:45 hours. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack and now I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and woke up this morning around 11:58 hours. I got outr of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then changed into old street clothes and headed up to the fire house to mow the lawn one last time before the winter sets in. Once I was done I headed on home and once at home on got on the PS2 to play Test Drive Eve of Destruction. I am now getting ready to eat dinner and then am going to go get ready to go to work in Lykens tonight. I will not be on latere tonight as I will be at work.

A Long Meeting

I went to bed last night around 02:00 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. My father had off today and took my mother down to her parents house to pick up my Grandfather and take him to the hospital to see my Grandmother who is still in Osteo. Late last nigth my brother call and said that the hospital had called and said the CT Scan they did in my mother yesterday showed she had blood clots in her lungs. I then got on the PS2 and played a game of college football against Michigan. Going into the second quarter the score was tied at 14 and then I exploded in the second quarter. I run the game with the final score 110 vs. 59. I then got off and made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then left the house around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house for the meeting tonight. I parked behind the station and then went into the station and did my weekly medical equipment checks on the trucks and then went up to the hall. Kenny came in first, then Troy, then Lonny and then Robin, Bubba, and Jaz. House and Michelle were next and then so on and so on. The meeting lasted over 1-1/2 hours. Me and LeeAnn then went down and changed the sign by adding the Ham Dinner and the Boyd's Bear Bingo in November. We then went up and helped Bubba go over the training's for the past year for the point's program while the Fire Police held their meeting. Once we were done Troy came back in and we talked a little bit and then we all left around 21:30 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk, just give me a buzz.

Halloween Party

I left the house last night around 19:45 hours after the game was over, where Penn State beat Michigan 45 to 17, thus ending a nine game losing streak to Michigan. Bubba had also called me and I talked to him some before leaving. I got up there and the kids party was still going on. I parked and went down to the fire house to get my beer out of the fridge and Schoffstall and Katina and we talked some and I grabbed my beer and took it up to Katina's vehicle and put it in the hatch of her vehicle and waited until all the kids were gone to take it in. We then went in and sat in the kitchen and talked until all the kids had cleared out and then we went outside and brought the beer in and I took mine back to the cooler. We then got cards out and played a few hands and then for the rest of the night we mostly sat around and shot the shit while drinking. Besides myself, the following were also there, Jess, Tonita, Troy, LeeAnn, Katina, Schoffstall, Mandy, Wang, Luke, Brian, Spandy, and Andy was there in the begining and then showed up at the end also. We had a hell of a time at the party, and I don't know how many beers I had. I know I called Kathy twice and talked to her and I talked to Bubba on the phone twice. Katina and Schoffstall left shortly before midnight I believe. Everyone else left around 03:30 hours in the morning and then it was just me and Andy and I decided to sweep the floor and then me and Andy got talking. Bubba got home around 04:30 hours and we went down to the station and talked to him. Andy then left and then I left and headed on home and got home around 05:00 hours. Once at home I went to bed and got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got up and had one hell of a hangover. I jumped in the shower and got a shower and then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 12:00 hours after taking two Tylenol for my headache. I got up there and grabbed a bottle of water and started drinking that. Troy, Robin, Katina, LeeAnn and Bill were there. I basically sat back by the restrooms and chilled out some and then went outside to get some fresh air. At somepoint, Jess came up while I was in the fire house as I saw her once I came back in and we got talking. Bingo was ok, we had our normal crowd and no one new. I finally was able to eat something by halftime of bingo and I had a hamburger and another bottle of water. Bingo went good I thought and then I helped clean stuff up. Then we helped Bubba go over all the fund raisers for the past year from November 2007 to present for the points program. Once Robby got there myself, Robby, Bubba, Troy and Lonny went down and got dressed in our gear and stood in front of the Tanker so Bill could take a few pictures of the five of us that got Firefighter 1. Me and LeeAnn then finished up the fund raisers while the line officers had a meeting. Once we were done, we both left and I headed on home. Once at home I talked to my mother some more about my grandmother. She had called me a little earlier and said that my grandmother was back in the hospital, but this time she was at Osteo, and she has phnumonia. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Field of Screams

I left the house around 18:30 hours last night and headed up to the fire house. I got there and parked beside the old fire house. Jess was already home. Tonita, Troy, Kevin Wang, and LeeAnn were already there. Tonita was helping Jess get stuff out of the back of her vehicle and then Lonny pulled in. He asked if it was a Shade night and we said no because Bubba was not home. He then left and then Troy took a cooler over to Tonita's car and put two cases of Miller Lite in the coolers and then some ice. When it was time to leave, LeeAnn got in the back with the cooler, then Tonita sat in the middle of the bench seat with Wang on the left and Troy on the right, so I got to ride shot gun. We had to stop at Shell as Jess needed to get gas in her vehicle and she realized that she forgot her cell phone at home. So after we got gas, we headed back to their house so she could get her cell phone. After she went inside, Mike came screaming down the alley and stopped. We all knew who he was looking for, Jaz, but she wasn't home as she had gone with Robin, and Jess didn't know where they went as they left while she was taking a shower. We then left and headed on down to Mountville. I had 4 Miller Lite's on the way down. We ended up having to stop at a Turkey Hill as we all had to use the restroom, and then we continued on our way. By the time we got there, myself, Troy and Wang all had to use the bathroom again. It was $21.00 to get in with a $2.00 coupon, which I didn't think was bad. We meant Grub from Mt. Joy who we know from down at Wildwood. We went on the hayride first, after we waited probally about 30 to 45 minutes in line. The ride was pretty cool. Troy sat to my left and Jess was to my right and Troy told me about a few things along the ride since him and Tonita came down last year. After the hay ride we went to the Friehtmare Asylum. We depated for a few minutes weather or not we should upgraded to VIP, which was $15.00 more, but the VIP line hardly had anyone in it. We finally decided to upgrade. Jess said that she only brought $21.00 with her and she didn't have any extra money. I told her that I had extra money and would pay for her to upgrade. We then got back in the VIP line of the Frightmare Asylum and went through that. That was 4 floors and that was pretty cool. I wasn't scared, infact I spent quite a bit of time laughing. After we were done with the Asylum, we went through the Den of Darkness, which was 3 floors and was also cool. I tell you it paid to upgrade to VIP as we were done with all 3 rides by 23:01 hours. If we wouldn't have upgraded, I estimate that we would not have gotten done until probally sometime close to 01:00 hours. We then headed back to Jess's vehicle and headed on home. I had one Miller Lite on the way home and then we decided to stop at Tubby's. Jess bought me a Miller Lite there and she had one, and that was the only drink we had there, as the place was dead. Tonita stayed in the vehicle as she had a migrane and was not feeling well. We then left Tubby's and headed back up to Halifax. We stopped at Shell and Jess ran inside and got Tonita a tea to drink and then we headed up to Millersburg to go to the Burger. I had two Coors Lights there, and again that place was dead also, for a Friday night. I also bought Jess a Miller Lite and that was the only beer she had there. We then left at 02:00 hours and headed back to the fire house. We dropped Wang off at his house and then continued to the fire house. Once there we all said goodbye and headed on home. Once at home I got on the computer to check a few things and my email and then went to bed around 03:10 hours. I got up this morning around 11:45 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then took a shower and am now waiting for my father to be done screwing around with his new portable workbench, so I can help him take the air conditoner's out of the window's. I won't be online later tonight as I am heading up to the fire house around 20:00 hours for a Halloween Party with more drinking tonight, more then I did last night. So I will be on sometime tomorrow night as we have Boyd's Bear Bingo at the fire house.

More College Football

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:40 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went out and got the mail and then went over my car to get the water spots off. I then came back in and got on the PS2 to play a game of College Football. I played Buffalo and won 171 to 45. My mother came home around 14:45 hours and I helped her bring stuff in from the store and then I talked to her about my grandmothe's doctor appointments that she had today. Last night my grandmother's ankles got swollen. I told my mother that she was probally retaining water. Well apparently they went down over night and the doctor said that he wasn't to concerned since they did go down overnight. She then went to her breathing test and as I figured she is going on oxygen while she is at home. And they also got their flu shots today. I then got off the PS2 around 17:10 hours and am now eating dinner. I will be leaving the house tonight around 18:30 hours and heading up to the fire house to meet up with Jess, LeeAnn, Tonita and a few other people. We are going to take a trip down to Mt. Joy to go to Field of Screams. I will be home late tonight and might be online, depending on the time.

Accident in the Evneing

I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:00 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and left the house around 07:25 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and grabbed a newspaper and a bottle of Gatorade and then continued to the station. I got there and parked and then grabbed my stuff and headed inside. Yeager was already up, as was Tim. I put my lunch box and bottle of Gatorade in the fridge and then I put my suitcase on the couch and clocked in. I then did a quick rig check on 6-5 and then Wertz came in, followed by Jim. I then came back in the day room and we all talked about different things with the company. I then got on the computer and filled out my forms while I ate breakfast. I then started doing a detailed inventory on the BLS room and Jim said it was time to go to breakfast. Shortly before he said that to me, Stutzman and Flipper came in from Lykens. Apparentlly they had already stopped at Special Place and ate breakfast, so the three of us went to Special Place to eat breakfast. I got a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. After we were done, we headed back to the station. Once there I finished doing my inventory on the BLS room and then did the extrication cabinet, the ALS restock cabinet and the ALS room. I then got back on the computer and updated my list and put an order of supplies in. I then sat down on the one couch in the day room around 12:30 hours to finally read the paper. My mother called me shortly after I started reading the paper and I talked to her for a little bit. Boyer then started calling my name. I went out front and the UPS man was there and he had a big order for us. It was all 5 brand new scoop stretchers, and 1 of the new pediatric backboards. I helped Boyer carry the packages over to in front of the bays and then we took the one scoop stretcher out of the box to look at it. About that time the tones went off for breathing problems in Lykens Borough. 6-5 in Lykens took that call and then a minute later, the tones went off for heart problems in Northumberland County. Wertz took that call with the squad. I then went to work getting all the scoop's out and the straps on them and then got everything marked and put on 6-5, 6-7, and 6-8 which were all down at the Eville station. I then pulled the pediatric backboard out and got that marked up and got the straps on that and got that put on 6-5. I then went back in and sat down to finish reading the paper and eat lunch as it was now around 14:00 hours. I finished eating lunch and then I heard 6-3 backing up outside. So I threw my trash way and then went out into the bay and gave Stutzman the new scoop to go in 6-3 and we swtiched them out and then I gave him the new scoop to put on 6-4 which was up at Lykens. I then went back into the day room and finished reading the paper except for the sports section. Wertz then said that Jim looked like he needed to go get something to eat, so we all headed up to the Subway in the square so Jim could get something to eat. I decided to get a 6" meatball sub. We were probally there for over an hour talking about all the problems the asshole was caused since he got on the board of directors. We then headed back to the station and I read the sports section and then got on the computer to play some games and relax a little. About 30 minutes after I got on the computer another UPS man stuck his head in the bay door and I went out and it was the other four pediatric backboards and 1 of the new Reeves stretchers. So back to work I went marking the Reeves first and then marking all four of the backboards and getting there straps on and got them on 6-7 and 6-8 and sat thw two boards that have to go up to Lykens back by the wash room door. I then went back in and got back on the computer. I got off the computer around 19:40 hours and went out and laid down on the couch. Wertz was sleeping on the other couch and Jim was sitting in his office chair watching Judge Judy on TV. When it got closer to 20:00 hours I pretened I was sleeping so I wouldn't have to talk to Jim. I heard him get off his chair, go out to the bay and get his clipboard out of the truck and then come back in, clock out, go out the back door and the leave. I waited a few minutes and then sat up and changed the channel to the Discovery Channel and then started watching that. Then around 20:20 hours Wertz moved around some on the couch and I asked if he wanted anything to eat as I was going to get something from Jo-Jo's. He decided to get something also. After I called our orders in, I loaded all of the cardboard up into the back of 6-5 and we ran up to the recycling bins and dropped off the cardboard. We then parked in front of Jo-Jo's and we both ran over to Koppy's and I got a soda to drink with dinner, a chocolate milk for later on in the night and a small bag of chips. We then went over to Jo-Jo's and got out food and then headed back to the station. Once back there I ate my two slices of pizza while I watched the new Mythbusters on TV. Then around 21:40 hours I heard a pre-alert beep come over the scanner and I cracked open my fire pager and county dispatched Box 21-1 for an accident with injuries. I got up and headed to the bay when the tones went off. I got in 6-5 and put us responding right away and then Wertz came out and got in and off we went. It ended up being a BLS patient and her boyfriend refused treatment, but rode down with us to the hospital to be with his girlfriend. We ended up boarding her and took them down to Holy Spirit Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back to the station. Once there we restocked the equipment we used on her and then I got my times and did my charts and then checked a few things online. I then laid down on the couch and went to sleep around 01:45 hours. I woke up this morning at 07:50 hours. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away in my suitcase and then went out to the truck and grabbed my scope and bag and took them in and put them with my suitcase. I then filled out my time card for my two weeks and I then heard Kathy come in. I clocked out and then I started talking to her and finally left there around 09:00 hours. I headed on home and once at home I talked to my mother for a little bit and then I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up around 11:35 hours and got out of bed. I then ate lunch and read the paper and helped my mother bring some stuff down from the attic. I then ran into town and got some bug and tar remover for my car as I had gotten some tar on it and then I got a case of beer for the party Saturday night at the fire house. I then headed on home. I dropped my case off at the fire house and then continued on home. Once at home I used the bug and tar removed on my car and then I washed my car and swept it out. I then got on the computer to do a few things. My mother then took April up to the vents around 16:00 hours. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Scotch Guard

I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:01 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then rode 5 miles on the exercies bike in the basement and then went outside and got the mail. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. I played against Notre Dame and I won by a score of 157 to 48. While I was playing the second quarter my parents came home and I helped my mother go out and scotch guard the seats in my car. I then came back in and finished my game. I then got off at 17:45 hours and I am now eating dinner while I watch MASH on TV. After I am done eating, I am then going to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if anyone wants to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Cleat Face

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:00 hours and woke up Sunday morning when my alarm went off at 07:10 hours. I gotr out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the car. I then packed my lunch and then left the house around 07:40 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and got a Sunday paper and a bottle of Gatorade and then headed down to the station. I got there and parked and Stutzman was standing outside smoking. I got out of my car and grabbed my stuff and Stutzman made the comment "Welcome to EMT 6". I looked at him and asked what he meant by that and he said that we had no medics for the day shift. Beef had called in to Ron around 02:30 hours in the morning and basically said that he was getting his ass handed to him at Fame and until he got caught up on paperwork he was going to be exhausted and wanted to go home and get some sleep. He also told Ron that it wouldn't be worth his time to come in just for the night shift, which I can understand what he is saying. I went inside and clocked in and put my lunch box and Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then did a quick rig check on 6-5. Zach and Ron were going off and Zach left first and Ron stayed to finish up his charts and then he left around 10:30 hours. Audrey then came down from Lykens around 08:03 hours and we told her the situation. Ron tried calling around and couldn't find anyone and Stutzman sent out a mass text message to all of the medics and got no reply's. He then called Boyer and told him and Boyer said he was going to try and find someone to watch the kids and then he would be in. I then checked supplies and then got on the computer and filled out my paperwork and put an order in while I ate breakfast. I then checked a few other things and then went out into the day room and read the paper while I watched Ace Venture 2 on TV. The original Ace Venture movie then came on and I watched that. Boyer then came in around 11:30 hours and he told Stutzman to move 6-4 from beside the building to in front of the squad bay and check over the truck as him and Stutzman were going to run 6-4 as a MICU and we were going to run 6-5 as a BLS truck. He then said about going up to Wild Willies that had just opened that day and I said I was game with that. So we went up there. The food is nice, but it is quite expensive. I got a 6 ounce cheeseburger, texas cut and seasoned fries and a soda and my bill came out to over $11.00. After we were done there, Boyer and Stutzman ran up to Lykens to get the narc number and me and Audrey headed on back. I stopped by at Station 21 as the essentials class was going on and I talked to Sean Grimm about a few things and then we headed back to the station. Once there I sat down to watch some tv. Then around 15:45 hours the tones went off for a traumatic injury at the one baseball field in Eville Borough, class 1. 6-4 went responding and I told Audrey that we would head up to stablize awhile. Well some 17 year old kid who was playing football with his buddies took a cleat to the left side of his face. He had two very detailed cleat marks on the left side of his face and it looked like someone took a golf ball and shoved it between his gum and cheek, which meant that he most likely did something to hie left cheek. Well it ended up getting released to BLS and I rode down in the back and we took him to Hershey Medical Center. After I gave report and got what I needed, I told Audrey I would be back in about 15 minutes and headed up to the 6th floor to visit my grandmother. I visited with her for about 10 to 15 minutes and she was doing better then she was the day before. I then said goodbye to her and headed back down to 6-5 and we started on our way back. I said to Audrey that I wanted to stop at 3 B's and get a Slush Puppy. As we were coming up to Chambers Hill Road, the tones went off for heart problems in Jackson Township. Boyer ended up putting 13 in service as they arrived on the scene as they went responding. Well as we were coming up to the Dauphin exit, county hit the tones and I thought I heard them call for Ambulance 6-5. I then heard Boyer tell county that if they couldn't get ahold of 6-5 to go ahead and dispatch the fire department. I got on the radio right away and asked county if 6-3 was trying to get ahold of us and they said that they needed a hand at the call and I put us responding from the Dauphin exit. I turned the lights on and told Audrey to hold on and off we went. I blew through Fisherville and emptied the tank using the air horns. We were on scene in 20 minutes and they had just gotten the lady in the back of 6-4 and Stutzman stuck his head out and said that I was driving. I then moved my stuff over to the cab of 6-4 and put us enroute to Harrisburg Hospital and off we went class 2. So I went back through town with just the siren going this time, no air horns because of the patient. I got them down there and after we got what we needed, we headed on back. I asked Stutzman to stop at 3B's and I got my Slush Puppy and we headed on back to Eville. He then ran down to Shell and got fuel in 6-4 and then headed back to the station. We then swtiched stretchers and moved the gear back over to 6-5. Stutzman then left and headed up to Lykens to make a BLS truck up with Yeager until Tracey came in at 03:00 hours. I then gather all the trash up and put it in the dumpster and then moved the dumpster out front. I then put trash bags in all of the trash cans and then I asked Tim if he had gotten anything to eat and he said yeah. I then said that I was going to get something from Jo-Jo's then. I called my order in, a ham and cheese sub, a side order of fries and two slices of cheese pizza. I then got in 6-5 and headed on up to Shell and got fuel and then parked by Jo-Jo's. I went over to Koppy's to grab a soda and a chocolate milk for last night. Dave and Holly pulled in while I was walking in. After I got my stuff I went outside and talked with them about the situation up at Medic 6. I was talking with them when the tones went off for breathing problems in Wayne Township. I walked over to the truck and called Tim and told him I was on my way back and he said not to worry about it that he would take the squad. So I turned around in went back to Jo-Jo's and got my food and then got back in 6-5 and headed back to the station. I then passed Tim as he was heading to the call. Once back at the station I ate my sub and fries while I watched TV. Then at 21:00 hours I got on the computer and did the paperwork from cleat face and then went out to the fridge and grabbed my two slices of pizza and went back in and started eating them while I got on the computer to check on a few things. Then around 21:45 hours the tones went off for a CVA in Eville Borough. I made my way out to 6-5 and was debating weather or not to go on air as a QRS and then I heard Tim respond and then I jumped on the air and went responding as a QRS. While I was on my way to the scene, Stutzman called me and said that him and Yeager were on there way down incase it turned out to be a bull shit call. I got there first and it was a song and dance story, more of a attention getting problem, but we have to go with what the patient presents to us. 6-5 then got there and then Tim got there and we got her loaded up and took her down to Hershey Medical Center. After we got what we needed down there, we headed on back. We stopped at the Hess and I got a soda and a doughnut as the Hess now has Dunkin Doughnuts in it to sell. We then headed back to Eville. Once back at the station I helped Tim restock his gear and then finished eating my pizza and checking a few things online and finally went to bed at 03:00 hours. I woke up this morning around 07:51 hours when I heard Zack and Stutzman come in. I got up and got the stuff back in my belt and then put my pillow away. I then pulled my lunch box out of the fridge and then got my scope and bag out of 6-5. I then clocked out and after I shot the shit for a little bit, I headed on up to Wal-Mart. Once at Wal-Mart I picked up a birthday card for my father's birthday, which is today, he turned 58 years old. I then stopped at Shell and got gas and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I got up this afternoon around close to 13:00 hours. I got up and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then walked 20 laps in the driveway and then got on the PS2 and played some NFL Head Coach. I got off at 16:30 hours and ate my two slices of homemade pizza that my mother had made last night while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 17:30 hours and headed up to the fire house for the bingo meeting tonight. I got up there and went into the station and did my medical equipment checks real quick and then headed up to the hall. As I was heading up to the hall, LeeAnn pulled in and when I went into the hall Robin and Bill were already there. We shot the shit some and then we started talking about prices. Jess and Jaz then came up and we had about an hour long meeting detailing about the prices and different things we are going to try and do for one night each month. After the meeting was over, we sat down and came up with a list of businesses to go to and ask for door prizes for our Christmas Party. Bill left first and then Robin and Jaz left. The myself, Jess and LeeAnn then left. Jess headed on home and me and LeeAnn headed down to the fire station. LeeAnn got on the computer to type up a new bingo paper and I put the letters away from the sign that we took down Saturday and I got letters out to put on the board about regular bingo starting at the end of the month. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Nervous Times

I went to bed Thursday night around 02:30 hours and got up Friday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out og bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suit case and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and then left the house around 07:30 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's to grab a newspaper and a bottle of Gatorade andI ran in to Tom Welker who was also in there. I talked to him a little bit about the problems at Medic 6. I then left and headed down to the station. I got there and parked and grabbed my stuff and headed inside. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then clocked in. Stutzman got up and he got his things together and then left to head up to Lykens to work. I then went out and did a rig check on 6-5 and then checked on supplies and restocked some items. I then went in and Wertz was now up and back in the rear office working on his 6 charts from Thursday. I sat down and talked to him about different things. Bruce then came in and the three of us got talking. I then ate breakfast while I got on the computer to fill out my paperwork and check a few things. Boyer then came in and asked if I wanted to go to breakfast at Special Place and I said that was fine. Then after about a half an hour of screwing around, we finally left for breakfast. We got there and Stutzman was already there. Tim had swapped out with Tracey on the call in Williamstown. We all put our orders in and we all got our drinks and then the tones went off for breathing problems in Gratz Borough. Bruce asked Wertz if he just wanted to handle it with a MICU and Wertz said that was fine. I pulled out a $5.00 bill and gave it to Boyer to pay for my breakfast. Me and Wertz then got in 6-5 and off we went. We got there and naturally Jim was on the scene since it was in town. We got the guy loaded up and then took him down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. We stopped at Sheetz so Wertz could get something to eat and drink and I grabbed a small soda to drink and then we headed back to the station. When we got back, 6-8 and Tim and Stutzman were there. I restocked Wertz's gear and then checked the supplies that came in and put them away. I then went into the day room and ate lunch while I read the paper. Boyer had brought some chairs down from Reed's that had been in the restaurant when the fire happened earlier this year. They were not using them again, but Boyer was taking them over to his camp and needed to have them cleaned, so he brought them to work and he had Stutzman help him clean them. Tim and Stutzman then left and headed back up to Lykens and then me and Bruce helped Boyer get the chairs back in his SUV. I then finished reading the paper and then Boyer got in 6-1 and left and went somewhere and I watched some TV. Then around 15:30 hours the tones went off for abdominal pains, class 3 in Upper Paxton Township, with us in place of Company 20 who were already out on a call. Me and Bruce got in 6-5 and off we went. We got there and got the lady loaded up and Bruce said he would ride it down and I drove and we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed down there, Bruce decided to drive back to give me a break and we headed on back. Once back at the station we switched over to a MICU since Bruce was going with Enders up to the football game at Upper Dauphin. I got on the computer to check a few things and then I sat in the day room and talked some with Wertz. Tracey then came in and the three of us talked some and then Wertz left. Tracey brought dinner with him, so I called in an order to Jo-Jo's. Enders then called me from the game and said that he just found out that they didn't have a stretcher in the back of 6-4, and I said that if they got anything to just give me a call and I would run 6-7 up and they could take the stretcher out of it. I hung up with him and about 5 seconds later, he called back and said that Bruce said to just bring 6-7 up awhile so we could switch stretchers out. So I told Tracey what I was doing and then I was going to stop and grab my dinner. I got up there and we moved the stretcher over and then I headed up to Jo-Jo's to get dinner. I first ran over to Koppy's and grabbed a soda and then went to Jo-Jo's and got my food and then headed back to the station. I got there and once again there was 6-8 with Tim and Stutzman parked out back that I couldn't back the unit back into it's place. Stutzman came out and moved 6-8 and then watched me back 6-7 in and then I took my food inside. They were only there for a little bit and then they left and headed back up to Lykens. I then watched TV while I ate dinner. Then around 21:30 hours the tones went off for chest pains in Halifax Borough. We got in 6-5 and off we went. We got placed in service just as we were getting ready to come into town. I made the turn onto Firehouse Lane and then went down the alley and past the station and then back out to Enders Road and then back on 225 and back to the station. Once back I sat down to watch TV once again. Then around 22:30 hours the tones went off for a call in Lower Mahony Township, but it was only for a BLS unit from Company 20. 20 was already out on a call, and about 5 minutes later our tones went off for us in place of Company 20. We got in 6-5 and this time Tracey drove and we headed up towards Pillow. We thought we were going to be placed in service, because when county gave us in the information, they said it was an accident with no injuries. Well we got all the way to the scene and when I called on the scene to Northumberland County, they advised us that we had already been placed in service, which we never heard and they never told Dauphin County either. So we turned around and headed back to Eville. I asked Tracey to stop at Koppy's so I could grab some Tylenol since I had a pounding headache. We stopped and I got a bottle of Tylenol and a large Pepsi and then we headed back to the station. Once there I filled out a trip sheet and then played some games online and finally went to bed around 02:00 hours. Tracey set up camp on the couch that I usually sleep on and he is a light sleeper, so I said I would sleep in the BLS room. This was the first time that I have ever slept in the BLS room. Most people have been putting the matterss on the floor and sleeping like that. I decided to put the matterss up on the box spring on the bottom bunk. I still had room to lay and sleep and I tried this, but didn't get much sleep as I kept tossing and turning. So finally around 03:00 hours I moved the matterss down to the floor and slept like that, and slept without any problems. I woke up at 07:45 hours when my alarm went off. I got up and put my pillow away and then got the stuff back in my belt and then went out to the day room. I then got my scope and bag out of 6-5 and by that time, Zack was pulling in and then Audrey came in behind him. I clocked out and then used the restroom, then grabbed my check and headed on home. Once at home I changed into old street clothes and talked with my mother for about half an hour while I had a light breakfast. I then left the house around 08:45 hours and headed up to the fire house to help with the soup and apple butter sale today. I got up there and Katina and Bubba were up in the hall and LeeAnn, Jack, Schoffstall, Lonny and Kenny were down in the lower lot working on the soup and apple butter. I helped with stirring the apple butter and opening up cans of beans and putting them in the ham and bean soup and then put corn in the chicken corn soup. My father then called me around 11:45 hours and said to get him a quart of chicken corn soup. So the next time I went up to the hall to use the restroom I told Katina that my father wanted a quart of chicken corn soup and I paid for it ahead of time. I then went back down and then I would say around 12:40 hours my mother called me. She told me that my brother had just called her and said that my grandmother passed out while they were at Hoss's and was unresponsive and that she was being taken by ambulance to Hershey Hospital. I asked her if she wanted me to head on down after we were done and she found out some more information and she said she would let me know then. So I hung up with her and sat down and started to worry about my grandmother. Well then about 20 minutes later, my father stopped his truck in the middle of 225 and asked me if I was going to head down and I said no, and he speed off, and I was unhappy about how he acted about it. I called my mother about 3 minutes later and we had an argument and then hung up. I sat there for about 15 minutes and then I got up and headed up to the hall. I went to the bathroom and then went into the kitchen and got my father's soup and told Bubba that I was leaving and about my grandmother being taken to the hospital. I then took the soup home and put it in the fridge and then got back in my car to head down to Hershey. I called my mother back and told her to call me when they found out where she was at, and my mother told me to slow down and that my brother had called her again and that my grandmother was doing better and she said I could turn around. I told her I was about 20 minutes behind her and that I was passing Fetterhoff's and she said to just turn around and she would keep me updated. I stopped at Fetterhoff's church and we ended up talking for about 15 minutes and then I headed back to the fire house. I went in the hall and told Bubba that I was back and told him what my mother now told me. I then went back down to the lower lot and they were scouping out the apple butter at that time. I then helped carry stuff back up to the fire house and then I had Kenny help me put water on the fire to make sure it was out while I raked it with the Indian rake. I then cleaned up a few things with the hose before I went up to the hall. Jess and Jaz came up to the hall while I was cleaing the stuff up. I then when up to the hall and washed some dishes while Bubba, LeeAnn, and Schoffstall jared up the apple butter. We then started cleaing stuff up and people slowly started to leave. Katina left first and then Schoffstall. Bubba then had me run up to Kratzer's to get some dish soap so we could finish the dishes. While I was up there he also told me to get some Pine Sol, a nozzle for the hose in the station and a new flapper valve for the toilet. I then came back and Bubba had left and went home to get some sleep. Myself, Troy and Lonny then went down to the lower lot and took down the canopy and put it away. I then went up to the hall and took a look at Troy's laptop. He had asked me when I came up to get my father's soup and asked me to look at it then and I told him I had to head to Hershey. LeeAnn then left and then Troy left as me and Lonny were finishing up cleaning up and then we both left around 16:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I read the paper and then I took a shower. Once I got out of the shower, I made and ate dinner while I did a few things online. I then sat down to watch the Penn State vs. Wisconson game. It is now in the third quarter and the score is 31 to 7, Penn State. My parents got home around 21:30 hours and I talked to my mother to see how my grandmother is doing. They are going to keep her overnight to keep an eye on her. They really didn't say why she passed out at the restaurant, but they found cancer on her spine. So we will take it one day at a time right now and see how things go. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

All Down the Drain

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and woke up this morning around 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then talked 30 laps in the driveway and did some touch up cleaning on my car and got the mail. I then got on the PS2 to play a game of college football. I played against Notre Dame and beat them by a score of 146 to 47. While I was playing, I had my fire pager cracked open and I heard County say Chief 216, and then gave an address on Tourist Park Road. I went over to my room and got dressed and grabbed my shoes thinking we were going to get a fire call. After I didn't hear anything, I called Bubba to ask him what he had and he said that he saw a big column of smoke and called into county to ask about any controled burns, and they had on listed. He then said that he was getting the SCBA's that we are donating to a fire company up by the Poconos ready to take up to Sheridan tonight, who is the contact point for all donations. He asked me if I wanted to go along and I said sure. I was getting ready to save the game when the power flicked on and off and I lost everything, so I have to play the game all over again. I then got off and got on the computer and then made and ate dinner while my father mowed the lawn. My mother called and said that she was still down at her parents house and would be home later this evening. Bubba then called around 17:50 hours and I got my shoes on and headed up to the fire house. I parked on the other side of the 0ld fire house and then went over to the neighboors driveway where Bubba was talking to the neighboor. We then went up to the fire house and while he got some paper work together I pulled the Engine out and then the Utility. I then loaded the SCBA's into the back of the Utility along with the station gas can and then backed the Engine back in the station. We then left and headed on up to Tower City. We stopped at Burger King so Bubba could get something to eat. Jess beeped Bubba on his phone as she was sitting in the drive-thru line and she sent Jaz over to come in with us to get something to eat. I then talked to her for a little bit and then she left and then we left and headed up to Sheridan. Once we got there we took the SCBA's inside and we got talking about various topics. We were there for probally a little over 1 hour and then we left and headed back down to the fire station. We stopped at Shell in Eville so I could top off the Utility and Bubba filled up the gas can and after we paid for the fuel, we headed back to the station. Once there Bubba pulled the Engine out and I backed the Utility in and then he backed the Engine in. I then put the gas can away while he got on the computer to type up a letter for tomorrow when he goes to order the chassis for the new Squad. I then showed him a few things online and then we both left around 21:50 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then packed my lunch for work tomorrow and ate a light snack. I then took the trash out and am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

2 Fire Calls and a Quiet Night

I went to bed Monday night around 02:00 hours and was rocked out of bed Tuesday morning at 11:20 hours when my fire pager went off for a medical assist on Enders Road, class 3. I got out of bed and quickly changed into street clothes. I then grabbed my wallet, cell phone, pager and keys and got in my car and headed up to the fire house. I got there and parked and unlocked the station door and went inside. As I was going inside, I saw Bubba slowly walking up the alley toward the fire house. I went over and opened up the Engine bay door and then went over to my stall and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and headed over to the Engine and got in the officers seat. Bubba got in the driver's seat and he pulled the Engine out and told me to go ahead and put us responding. I put us responding with 3 for as we pulled out I saw Ray at the back of his car getting his gear on. He got in and off we went. Dave went to the scene and by the time we got there, they had already gotten the lady back up and onto a chair and we were placed in service. Bubba turned the Engine around and we headed back to the station. While heading back I filled out a run sheet for the call. Once back at the station I put my gear back in my stall and then got my shoes back on and Bubba got the times for the call and then he showed me a few things online. He then asked me if I could run some stuff over to Enders-Fisherville for Fire Prevention that we were doing today and I said that was not a problem. So I ran the stuff over there and I talked to Kate in the office and then I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch and then read the paper. As I was coming down Creek Drive, I passed my mother heading towards town and I called her to see where she was going and she said to get her hair cut. Well she then called me around 13:10 hours and asked if I could started heading towards Halifax with another pair of shoes for her and the cooler she left sitting in the dinning room. So I got back in my car and started heading in towards Halifax. I met her at Fetterhoff's church and gave her the stuff and then headed on back home. Once at hoem I finished reading the paper and then changed into old street clothes and then headed up to the fire house to mow the lawn. I mowed the lower lot and I stopped to talk to Bubba as he was heading off to work. While I was talking to him, Eville got dispatched for an accident with injuries involving a motorcycle. I later found out that it ended up being a signal 12. I then went back to mowing. I did the lot beside the fire house and then started on the lot by the hall when my father came pulling in. I stopped and shut off the mower and went over to his truck. He said to me that we might be going and I said going where. He then told me that 19 was on their second dispatch for a child struck on Small Valley Road. I said that 29 might be next due and not us, but I wasn't sure. County then dispatched 29 as the next due Engine to head to the scene. He then pulled over behind the fire house and him and me talked some more and then the next thing you know, our pagers went off, followed by the house siren for us to set up a landing zone at Enders-Fisherville Elementary School for Life Lion for the Carsonville call. I ran inside the station and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and grabbed my jacket and helmet and headed over towards the Engine. I opened the Engine bay door and saw Robby and his boy Tyler come sprinting across the lower lot. I opened the officers door and my father got in the driver's seat and Tyler got in the back. I told him to slide over as I switched to the back so Robby could ride in the officer's seat. Andy and Kenny then came running in the station. Robby said that we were going to shove six in the Engine so I told Tyler to slide all the way over. Andy then said that he would just take Kenny and go in the Utility. My father didn't hear that we were going to the elementary school to set up a LZ and at the end of the alley, made a left instead of a right. Well we ended up taking the back way to the school, but did get there and got the LZ set up for Life Lion as they came in and landed and then about 2 minutes later, 6-8 pulled in with John driving and Tim in the back. Once the flight crew got everything set up and got the kid transferred over to the myself, my father, Ray and Andy carried the liter out to the chopper and loaded her into it and then they took off. Everyone came out of the woodwork for this call. Jean was there for fire police. Then coming POV was Schoffstall, Troy, Ray, and Matt Faust. We then put the cones away and then headed back to the station. Once back there a bunch of us stood around and shot the shit and then people slowly started leaving. My father left first and headed on home and then Robby and Tyler and then Schoffstall. Paul from Millersburg stopped by to shot the shit and then around 17:00 hours I went back to mowing the lawn so I could get finished up in time to get cleaned up to go to work. I finished up mowing and then put the lawn mower away and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate dinner while I quickly updated the website. Bowser called the house around 18:45 hours and asked me if I would mind going to Lykens last night and I said that was not a problem. Around 19:00 hourz I changed into my uniform and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then grabbed my bottle of Gatorade and then left the house around 19:25 hours to head up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and grabbed something to munch on for the night and then continued on up to Lykens. Once there I parked and got my stuff together and headed into the station. John and Tim weren't there and both units were gone. I put my stuff in the fridge and then clocked in then sat down and started to watch TV. Then around 20:15 hours, I heard the bay door open up and then Tim came walking in. I went out to the bay with him and he had 6-8 parked outside. I asked where John was and he said that he was coming behind him with 6-7. John then got there and backed 6-7 in and then he clocked out and headed on home after I showed him my new car. Me and Tim then got in 6-8 and headed on down to Shell at the end of town so I could get fuel for the truck. We then stopped at Ciao's to grab something to eat for dinner. I got two slices of pizza and a soda and then we headed back to the station and we watched a movie that Tim had rented. After the movie was over Tim got ready to head on home and he went out to 6-8 to grab some of his stuff out of it and he notice that the oyxgen was still on. It had bleed the tank down to 500 psi. So while I took the tank out of 6-8, Tim took the one out of 6-7 and then we switched tanks and I put the new tank in 6-8 and he put the old tank in 6-7 and then he left and headed on home. I stayed up and watched Dirty Jobs until 02:15 hours and then I went to sleep. We didn't turn a single wheel all night long and I woke up this morning around 07:40 hours when I heard Tim talking on the phone. I got up and put my pillow away and then got the stuff back on my belt and then used the restroom. Tindell and Shultz then came in and I clocked out nad the four of us shot the shit for awhile and then they left to head down to Eville and I left to head down to Eville. Once at Eville I pulled in the same time as Boyer and when I went in he showed me the order that came from Bound Tree and that I had asked for a box of 11 10cc flushes and they only sent me 1. They did the same thing with the 2 cases of 1,000 bags that I requested and only sent me 2 bags. So I checked supplies and put away the supplies that had come in and then I called Bound Tree and talked to them about the screw up. I then took Kathy outside and showed her the inside of my car and then I left the Eville station around 09:36 hours and headed up to CVS to get my flu shot. I walked in by 09:45 and they were already giving out flu shots. There was only 3 other people there to get a flu shot besides me. I got my flu shot and then headed on home. Once at home I changed and then ate breakfast and read the paper. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 11:10 hours and headed up to the fire house for fire prevention at the elementary school. I got there and mostly everyone was already there. Robby, Andy, Lonny, Schoffstall, LeeAnn and then myself. Lyle, House and Michelle came in behind me. We all headed into the warm fire house and shot the shit until Bubba got up there. I then got my gear and brought it over in front of the Utility. Bubba asked me if I was going to take the Utility and I told him I was hoping to wheel the Engine today and he then asked Schoffstall if he would mind taking the Utility and he said no. So Schoffstall and House went in the Utility. Michelle, Robin and Jean all drove over themselves. Lonny and Lyle were in the Tanker and I drove the Engine with Bubba, Robby, LeeAnn and Andy in it. We got over there and we went through two grades and were done by a little after 14:00 hours. As we were getting ready for the first grader group, Halifax got dispatched for an accident with duel entrapment on South River Road. Bubba thought that we might go to set up an LZ, but it never came to that. Once back at the station, I put my gear away and then we all shot the shit and then eventually everyone left. Bubba headed down to the house to get ready for work. Lyle then left, and then Bill came and picked up House, then Schoffstall left and then Lonny. Bubba then came back up to talk a little before leaving for work. Everyone else then left and I did a medical bag check on the trucks and then did some work in the old fire house and then headed on home around 17:00 hours. Once at home I ate dinner and then took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

RIP MOLLY

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and read the paper. My mother made me a big lunch since I was heading up to the fire house around 14:30 hours to help Troy was the trucks for Wednesday for Fire Prevention at Enders-Fisherville Elementary School. I ate lunch and then changed into old street clothes and then headed up to the fire house around 14:35 hours. I got there and parked behind the fire station and then went inside. Bubba was on the computer looking at a few things and we talked for a little bit. He then headed on down home to get ready to leave for work and I started getting things ready to wash the trucks. I pulled the hose out of the Tanker bay door and got the soap, bucket, brushes and sponges together and then pulled the Engine out and then the Utility out and parked in on the concrete pad in front of the station. I then brought the pressure washer out and hooked everything up. I then filled the gas tank up on the pressure washer and then filled it up and washed the Utility. I then swept the inside of the cab out with the fox tail brush and then backed the Utility into the station. I then moved the Engine over to the concrete pad and swept the inside of the cab out on that. I then filled the tank up again on the pressure washer and then proceeded to wash the Engine. I then backed the Engine into the station and then called Bubba. I told him Troy wasn't there yet and I was ready to wash the Tanker and I asked Bubba if I could pull it out and he said yeah, but just be careful. So I pulled the Tanker out and ogt everything ready to wash the Tanker. I started washing the Tanker and Andy and Barb pulled up and Andy started helping me wash the Tanker. Troy then showed up and started helping us also. LeeAnn and Kenny then came down and once we finsihed up we put everything away and headed up to the hall for the meeting. The meeting went ok and we were done a little before 21:00 hours. Right before the meeting started, Bill sent me a text message that his one dog Molly had passed away a few minutes ago and I made the comment to Holly that Bill was not going to make it to the meeting due to Molly passing away. After the meeting we took the air conditoners out and put them down in the old fire house. I then took the old mayonase jars out of the kitchen and put them in my trunk to run into the recycling bins. After everyone left I showed Robin the interior of my car and then ran into the recycling bins to drop off those jars and then headed on home. While heading home I gave Bill a call on my cell phone and talked to him. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a light snack. I am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Happy 85th Birthday Grandpa

I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this morning at 10:00 hours. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom and then changed into street clothes and then myself, my mother and my father all got in my car and we headed on down to Harrisburg to my grandparents house to celebrate my Grandfather's 85th birthday. We got down there and I pulled my car up onto the car port as my brother's car was gone. My Grandmother was at the door and she was surprised to see that I had a new car. She looked at it from inside the house and then I helped take stuff inside the house and she said that my brother and grandfather would be back shortly as they had run out to Sam's to pick up the cake. I then told my Grandmother about the car and then I heard my brother's car pull into the driveway. I went out onto the car port and stood beside my car and my grandfather had a smile on his face as he got out of my brother's car. I showed him my new car and had him sit in it and showed him the different features that I have and then we went inside and sat in their living room and talked some more about the car. Then around 11:45 hours the four of us got in my car and we headed over to Hooters on the Carlisle Pike to treat my grandfather to lunch for his birthday which is actually today. We got over there and went inside and got seated at a table. Our waitresses name was Kat and I had a triple cheese and bacon burger with a side order of curly fries, a side order of cheese sticks and a Sprite. Once we were done eating, my brother told our waitress about it being my grandfather's birthday and she got a bunch of the girls together and they sang happy birthday to him and then Josh got his picture taken with the one tall waitress there and I had my picture taken with our waitress. We then left and headed back to their house. Once there my grandfather opened his gifts and then I read the paper while my parents watched the race from Talladega on TV. We then had cake around 16:00 hours and boy was it ever good. It had that whipped icing on it was half vanilla and half chocolate cake. We then left thier house around 17:30 hours and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and then we stopped at Giant and we each got our own iced tea, plus a gallon of milk and lunch meat and then continued on home. Once at home we got in just in time to watch the last 13 laps of the race and Tony Stewart won one wild race. I then did some touch up on my car and then I took a shower. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Penn State at 6-0

I went to bed last night around 02:10 hours and my mother woke me up this morning around 08:20 hours when my brother got here. I got up and put on a t-shirt and shorts and then took him outside to show him my new car. He looked it over and said he really likes the car. My mother and him then got in his car and headed up to Knoble's and I went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon around 12:30 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper while me and my father watched the Penn State vs. Purdue game. Penn State won the game 20-6 and moved to an overall record of 6-0 and looks like a legit contender for a National Championship. Once the game was over I headed back to my room and got online to do a few things while I continued to watch different football games. I then setteled in to watch the Illinois vs. Michigan game and Illinois beat Michigan 45 to 20 which delt another blow to Michigan. I made and ate dinner while I watched the game and did a few things online. My brother and mother then got home a little after 19:00 hours and I listened to how there day went up at Knoble's. My brother then left around 20:05 hours and I am now watching the Ohio State vs. Wisconsion game on TV. I had my snack already and am getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
