My Daily Thoughts
Sunday, November 30, 2008
I went to bed last night around 03:10 hours and woke up this afternoon around 13:29 hours. I got out of bed and munched on a pack of crackes while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things and watched College Football on TV. I then ate dinner while I did a few things online and also watched Flordia play Flordia State, and Flordia ran all over Flordia State. Then around 19:20 hours I changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house for the after Thanksgiving party. There was a lot of Bubba's relatives there and some fire compayg people like Wang, Tonita, Mandy, Angie, Luke, Brian and so on. I didn't keep track of how many I had, but I left there around 02:30 hours and headed into Sheetz and got some chicken tenders and then headed on home. I am getting ready to go to bed as I am tired.

Sleep In
I went to bed last night around 03:10 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:45 hours when my mother said that she was running her van out to Heim's Garage and my father was going to pick her up and that I needed to move my car. So after they left, I moved my car over to where she usually parks and then came back inside and laid back down in bed and tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't. So I got out of bed and went out and ate lunch and then read the paper. My pictures that I won off of ebay came today, so I scanned the few that I wanted and then put them in my photo album and them got online to do a few things. At 16:30 hours I then ran my mother out to Heim's so she could pick up her van and then we both headed on home. Once at home I made and ate dinner while I watched the Deadlist Catch Marathon on the Discovery Channel, which I an still currently watching. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I went to bed Tuesday night around 03:00 hours and woke up Wednesday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera, suitcase and jacket and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together and then left the house around 19:30 hours and headed up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at the Tower Mini Mart and picked up a newspaper and then headed to the station. Jim was already there when I parked and then got my stuff and headed inside. Once inside I clocked in and put my stuff in the fridge and then did a quick rig check on 6-5. As I was finishing up my rig check, the tones went off for a call in Washington Township that was 6-3. Tim and Stutzman took that call. However, Jim wanted to head down that way since 6-8 had to be taken up to West End to have some work done on it. So we headed on down to the scene and they were getting ready to leave, so we went back to the station to get 6-8 and take it up to West End. I went over to 6-8 to get it started while Jim went inside to double check that 6-8 was the unit that needed to go up to West End and it was. Meanwhile I couldn't get 6-8 started. In the long run I had a hell of a time getting it started, but once I did I took it up to West End and then Jim brought 6-5 up and we dropped 6-8 off and then went to McDonald's and ate breakfast. After we ate breakfast we headed back up to Lykens. Once there I filled out my paperwork and then I checked a few things online and then sat down and read the paper. Then at 10:29 hours the tones went off for a chimney fire in Upper Paxton Township, with us in place of Company 20 who was already out on a call. Both me and Jim got up and then Stutzman called Jim and said that they were backing and headed down to the call. The fire ended up extending into the walls and the working fire alarm was dispatched. They were down there for at least 3 hours. Around 12:30 hours Jim said to me about running him up to his house in Gratz so he could get a few things, which I did. After he was done at his house, he asked me to stop at the pizza place so he could get something to eat for lunch, which I did and then we headed back to the Lykens station. Once there I got on the computer and ate lunch while I played some Texas Hold'em Poker online. Later in the afternoon, Tim got another call down to Millersburg for something, I can't remember now what it was. I then ran down to Ciao's around 18:30 hours and got a sub and two slices of pizza for later on and then walked back to the station where I ate dinner. I finally sat down and watched some TV. Up until almost 17:30 hours I was playing poker online. I then ate dinner and then Kuntz came in a afew minutes after 20:00 hours and the three of us talked for about 30 minutes and then Jim left. About 10 minutes after Jim left, the tones went off for chest pains in Wayne Township on Back Road. Me and Kuntz were trying to figure out who's call it was and then Tim called and asked and I said we were looking it up. When I said it was there's he didn't sound so happy as they had just sat down at Jo-Jo's to eat dinner. I then sat down and watched two hours of TV on the Discovery Channel and then at 23:00 hours, I got back on the computer and played some more poker online. I heard them go available around 00:30 hours I believe it was. Then around 01:15 hours the tones went off for a sick person in Mifflin Township. Off they went again on yet another call while we stayed in the nice warm station. I laid down in bed around 01:30 hours and went to sleep. Then around 01:45 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Upper Paxton Township. I got up and so did Kuntz, and I got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then we got in 6-5 and off we went. Kuntz ended up being cancelled as the lady was just overly drunk. So we went available and went back to Lykens. Once back there Kuntz watched some TV until 03:00 hours and then he turned it off and I finally got to sleep. I woke up this morning at 07:45 hours when the alarm on my cell phone went off. I got out of bed and got the stuff back on my belt and put my pillow away and then got my boots on. I then got my stuff out of 6-5 and then brought all of the gear in and locked it up in the cabinet as there was no one in the Lykens station for the day shift. I then woke Kuntz up and then clocked out and left and headed on down to the Eville station. Once there I filled out a time card and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed and got another hour's worth of sleep. I then got up and got dressed and then we got in my mother's van and we headed on down to the Crossroad's restuarant in Grantville to eat Thanksgiving Dinner. The food was really good. They have it set up as a buffet style. I had three pieces of Roast Beef, Two slices of Ham, 7 Slices of white meat and some dark meat, along with two rolls and two pieces of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. After we were done, I paid for my Grandfather's meal and then we went back to his house for a little bit. Josh popped in Jeff Dunham's Christmas Special DVD and we watched that until 15:00 hours. We then stayed for about another half an hour and then we left and headed on home. I slept most of the way home in the car and once we got home and we came inside, I changed into my pj's and then got on the PS2 and played Call of Duty 3 for a little bit. I then got off and took a shower and then ate dinner while I stated watching College Football on TV. Texas just beat Texas A&M 49 - 9. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

On A Roll
I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and woke up this morning at 08:29 hours when the pager went off for the Engine and Tanker to responed to Jefferson Township for a chimney fire. I got out of bed and took my my pj's and got dressed and then grabbed my wallet, pager, cell phone, jacket, and then my keys and got in my car and headed for the station. I got there and parked and when I got out I heard the Tanker running already. I went in the station and I kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. I then opened up the compartment on the passenger's side of the Tanker and put my jacket and helmet in and then shut it. I saw Bubba get in the driver's seat and I opened up the passenger's side door and told him that I would make sure that the Tanker bay door shut. He started to pull out and then I saw Jason come running in and Schoffstall pulled in. I asked Jason if he was going to get the Tanker bay door and he said yes, so I got in the Tanker as Bubba was pulling out. He stopped once outside and got out and took his gear off and told Jason to put his gear on the Tanker and then Jason got in and off we went. Bubba and Schoffstall then responded in the Utility. Dave pulled in as we were pulling out with the Tanker. We almost got to the scene and command 19 held the box to Engine 19 and Truck 22 and we were placed in service and headed back to the station. Once back at the station, Bubba asked me to back the Utility in and then Jason hosed down the Tanker and then backed it in. I got out of my bunker gear and got my shoes back on and then the five of us shot the shit for a little bit and then I left around 09:45 hours and headed on home. Once at home I changed back into my pj's and went back to bed to get a little more sleep. I then got up this afternoon at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the PS2 and played Call of Duty 3 until 17:30 hours. I then got off and ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 19:30 hours and headed into Halifax. I ran up to Giant first and picked up a few things and then got my hair cut and headed on home around 21:10 hours. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I have to work tomorrow.

Yet Another Fire Call
I went to bed Saturday night around 02:30 hours and got up Sunday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took them out to the kitchen. I then finished packing my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together and left the house around 07:25 hours and heade up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at the Tower Mini Mart in Lykens and as I parked, LeeAnn sent me a text message. It said that Hiram from bingo had passed away Saturday at Harrisburg Hospital. I then went into the store and got a paper and a few other things. I then headed over to the station and parked and took my stuff inside. When I went in I noticed that 6-3 was not in the bay, so I knew that they were out on a call. We still can't get I/Net up at Lykens, so without calling down to Eville, I had no idea where 6-3 was at. I then clocked in and put my stuff in the fridge and then did a rig check on 6-7, which was the second due unit. Kuntz then came in and he asked me about 6-3 and I said I had no idea where they were at. I then ate breakfast while I filled out the paperwork on the computer and checking a few other things. 6-3 then got back and Zach told me that there was a crack in the windshield on 6-3 and that the right front tire on 6-7 was nearly flat. I was like oh that's just great. Ron then left and Zach did his tripsheet and then left. I did a rig check on 6-3 and then the paperwork and then sat down and read the Sunday paper. Kuntz kept turning on different movies on the TV for us to watch while he did what he called work. I don't know if it was work for MedMedia, or what. We then ran over to Don's so he could get a plater of food and then we went back to the station. Once there I heated my two chicken breast sandwichs up and ate them while watching another movie on the TV. I then got on the computer and checked a few things on ebay and then sat back down on the couch to watch the moive some more. I then went out and did 20 laps in the bays and then came back in and got back on the computer. Then around 15:30 hours the tones went off for breathing problems in Wiconisco Township. We got in 6-3 and off we went. We got there and it ended up being a panic attack and Kuntz got a refusal on the lady and then I headed on down to the end of town and got fuel and then headed back to the station. Once back there I sat down and watched a moive called "Sahara" and then "The Guardian". Around 18:30 hours I called and order into Cioa's for some sicilian pizza and then walked down and got it and a bag of chips and a soda and walked back up to the station. I then watched my regular show on the Discovery Channel for Friday night and then went back and watched the ending of "The Guardian" and then went to bed around 01:40 hours after checking a few things online. Kuntz went to bed around 22:45 hours. Ealier in the evening, around 20:10 hours, the tones had gone off for a call in Millersburg, and once on the scene, Tim got placed in service by 20-1. I got up this morning around 07:50 hours when Zach and Wertz came in. I got up tand got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and then put my pillow away in my suitcase. I then clocked out and got the stuff out of 6-3 and then the four of us shot the shit for about 15 minutes and then I left and headed on down to Eville. I stopped at Shell and got gas and then continued onto the Eville station. Once there I checked the ALS and BLS supplies and restocked them and then grabbed my check. While I was doing that the tones went off for a fall victim, class 1 in Eville borough. John and Jim took that call. As I was getting on the computer to put an order in for supplies, I heard 13's tones go off, and then my fire pager went off at 09:47 hours for wires down on a truck on Armstrong Valley Road. I grabbed my check and left and got in my car and since it was a class 1, turned my blue light on and off I went headed for the scene. I tried calling Bubba to see if he could throw my gear on the truck, but I forgot that we just had a talk about this. The Engine went responding shortly before I got on the scene. I got on the scene and then Engine was right behind me. When I first got there, I accidently parked by the end of the wire coming out of the Bible Church. I then said something to Bubba about me calling him and he said why don't I run back to the station and get my gear. I asked him if I should bring the Utility back and he said that the Engine wasn't dispatched, it was dispatched as Company 216. So I got back in my car and headed back to the station. Once there I kicked my boots off and got my bunker pants on. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet and put them in the front of the Utility, then opened the Engine bay door and pulled the Utility out, then closed the Engine bay door and put myself responding. I got on the scene and we were there for maybe a total of 45 minutes. Some tractor trailer driver tried to turn around in the parking lot of the church and ripped the power line down from the pole to the church and then was afraid to get out of the vehicle. After we left we headed back to the station. Once there I opened the Engine bay door and backed the Utility in and then Bubba backed the Engine in and Ray closed the door. It was Bubba and Ray on the Engine. Dave and Jason came together, then Jean and Michelle as fire police. Once back I changed out of my bunker pants and then we all shot the shit until around 10:30 hours and then everyone but myself and Bubba left. We stayed maybe another 15 minutes and then we both left and I headed on home. Once at home I changed out of my uniform and then watched the DVD of Indiana Jones and the Radiers of the Lost Ark while I ate lunch. I then read the paper and then went downstairs and rode my 5 miles on the exercise bike. My mother then came home and I helped her bring some things in from the vehicle and we talked for a while. I then got on the computer to do a few things and also ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched MASH on TV. I then changed into old street clothes and left the house around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire house. Once there I parked in front of the Engine bay door and used the air compressor to put air in my left rear tire. I then parked behind the station and went inside to wait for House and Troy to get there. House got there around 18:30 hours and we talked for a half an hour until Troy got there at 19:00 hours. Troy then pulled the Tanker out, House the Utility and then I pulled the Engine out and backed in back in the station on an angle so we could wash it for Hiram's funeral on Wednesday. We then washed it and moved all the trucks around and back in and we all left the station around 20:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and will soon be going to bed as I am tired.

Let the Accidents Begin
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and got up this afternoon around 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper and watched the Michigan vs. Ohio State game. Ohio State ran all over Michigan. I then went back to my room and did a few things on the computer while I watched the end of that game. I then started watching the Penn State vs. Michigan State game. I then made and ate dinner while I continued to watch the game and do a few things online. Then around 18:10 hours the pager went off for an accident with injuries at the intersection of Armstrong Valley Road and Tourist Park Road. I quickly got out of my flannel pj's and got my jeans and sneakers on and then grabbed my wallet, pager and cell phone and then my keys and got in my car and started my moderate drive up to the fire house as the roads were somewhat covered in snow. I got up there and Ray was behind me and Tonita and Wang were standing outside at the hall when I pulled in and parked. I then ran inside and kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on. I then grabbed my jacket and helmet. While I was doing this Bubba pulled the Engine out and I heard the Engine bay door be pulled shut. As I headed for the front door, LeeAnn came around the front of the Tanker and went out the front door, and slipped on the ice and fell to the ground. I came out right behind her and almost fell myself but I had the door to hang on to. Once she got up we headed to the Engine as did Ray and off we went. Tom Pottiger and Alf and Kim were already on the scene. We got there and the cars had been moved off of 225 and onto Stone Road. I took the med bag over to the back of Tom's truck so we could bandage the head of the only patient and then 13 got there and me and Kim helped her into the back of the ambulance. We then waited around until PSP got there and then the rollback got there and we left and headed back to the station. Once there we backed in and I changed out of my gear and finished up the run sheet and laid it on the desk along with Lonny's one accountability tag. I then said that I needed to head home and change t-shirts and then I would be back up to the hall to hang out since Jess was having that tarriot card reading. I headed on home, changed shirts and then headed back up to the hall. Once there, along with Jess, Tonita and Wang, it was Katina, LeeAnn, Bubba, Robin, Angie, Troy, Lonny, and the lady and her husband. I just hung out and Angie left shortly after I got there, and then Bubba and Robin headed on home. Then Lonny left and headed on home, then Troy got picked up by someone and headed on over to Tubby's in Duncannon to see Back in Black. I hung out until a little past 21:00 hours and then it was just Jess, Tonita and LeeAnn and they were going to play cards. I said that I was going to head on home since I had to work today at Medic 6 and then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then watched the Teaxs Tech vs. Oklahoma game and Oklahoma ran all over Texas Tech. I am soon going to bed then as I am tired.
Lonlieness
I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and I got up this morning at 11:30 hours. I got out of bed and I ate lunch while I read the paper. Then around 13:00 hours I changed into street clothes and we loaded up my mother's van and headed on up to Eville. We stopped at Heim's Garage first so she could make an appointment to get her van in to have the main belt in the engine replaced. We then went up to Goodwill and dropped off some of my toys and we looked inside for a little bit. We then ran over to Wal-Mart and my mother picked up a few things. We then stopped at he vets so my nmother could pick up some more medication for April and then we headed on home. When we stopped at Heim's, it had started to snow again and I had called Robin to see if we were still on for the night, and she said that as of that time, yes we were still on for shade. Once at home I helped my mother bring stuff in and then got in the computer to do a few things. Robin then called me and said that we now weren't going over to shade mountain tonight because it was still snowing and 29 had just gotten an accident in deep hollow about 10 minutes earlier. She said that they were talking about doing cards at the fire hall then since we weren't going over. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and then I called Robin again around 19:00 hours to see if anyone was heading up to the hall. She said that she thought that LeeAnn and Katina were heading up to the hall. So I called Katina and she said that was news to her. She then said that she was going to call LeeAnn and I said that I would call Jess and find out. LeeAnn then left me a message for me to call her back. So I called her back and she was at the beer place in town and asked me if I wanted a case of Coors Light or not and I said yes. I then left the house around 19:20 hours and headed up to the fire house. I got up there and went in the hall and turned the lights on and turned the heat up in the hall since it was kind of cold in there. I then did the dished from Wednesday night now that the sink was unclogged. Schoffstall and Katina showed up first, then Troy. LeeAnn then dropped off my case of beer and a case of Miller Lite for Jess and then ran over to Enders to pick up Tonita and bring her here. Then Jess came in and then Lonny and then finally Brian. Lonny left first and then Katina and Schoffstall left somewhere around 23:20 hours I believe it was. We played cards for the longest time. Jess, Tonita, Lonny and Brian played a seperate game. While myself, Troy, Katina, Schoffstall and LeeAnn played Hand and Foot. Once Katina left, they all headed up to Burger King to get something to eat. I stayed behind and dried the dishes and put them away and once they got back, we ended up playing one round of Thumb Masters. Oh boy it has been at least close to one year since I last played it, and it was rough on me tonight. After that we played Skip-Bo and then we all left around 01:45 hours to head on home. I offered to take Tonita home since they have to basically go by my place to get to her house, and this way LeeAnn wouldn't have to back track to go home herself. I am soon going to bed now as I am really tired.

The Chassis is Here
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours and woke up this afternoon around 12:40 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I then ate dinner and then my mother got home around 18:00 hours. As she pulled in, I had just gotten off the phone with Bubba. I had asked him if the chassis was there yet and he said yeah that he was getting ready to call an emergency work detail. I changed into street clothes and headed on up to the fire house to get some pictures of the chassis. I got there and Robby, Bubba, LeeAnn, Katina, Schoffstall an Troy were already there. Jason then came in and then Dave Warfel, then Mark from Whacker Graphics, and then Jess and Tandee. Everyone got a good look at it and I sat in the back and myself, Bubba, Robby and Troy talked about the positions for the bags that will hold the SCBA Masks. Bubba then had Troy and Schoffstall get in the back with me and we shut the doors, and with the three of us, and none of us in our gear, it was a tight fit. Robby then took it out for a test drive and I rode with him along with LeeAnn, Jaz and Tandee. Once we got back, Troy then took it out with Jaz, Jess, Jean, and I believe LeeAnn again. I then took it out for a test drive myself. Once I got back, LeeAnn took it out with Bubba, myself, Jaz and Brian. Once we got back, Jess took it out for a test drive, with Brian, myself and Troy. Once back a bunch of us shot the shit and then I left and headed into Giant to pick up some Diet Iced Tea. Shortly after I had gotten to the fire house, it had started to snow out. By the time I left it was starting to lay on the grass and the cars, but not on the road yet. After I got my Diet Iced Tea and also 4 cases of soda, I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
Another Search Detail
I left the house around 19:16 hours last night and headed on up to Lykens to go to work. I stopped at Tower Mini Mart in Lykens and put some air in my tires and then got something to munch on that night. I then went to the station and once there parked and got my stuff and headed inside. Once inside I clocked in and put my Gatorade bottle and bottle of Chocolate Milk in the fridge and then did a quick rig check on 6-3. Zach then clocked out and Kuntz said about heading on down to Eville as he had some paperwork to turn in. So shortly after 20:00 hours, we got in 6-3 and headed on down to Eville. We passed Steve and Tim, we assumed that they were heading to Wal-Mart. Once at Eville I was able to check both the ALS and BLS supplies and restocked them. I then placed an order for supplies and then Kuntz was ready to go and we got back in 6-3 and headed on back up to Lykens. Once back there Kuntz put in a movie and I played a few games on the computer. I talked to Bubba twice last night while he was out at work. I finally laid down around 00:50 hours to go to sleep. Kuntz was already sleeping on the couch when I laid down. Shortly after I laid down, Bubba called my cell phone again, but I couldn't get to it in time. Then around 01:30 hours the tones went off for an overdose in Jackson Township at Harman Stoves. I listned to it as the Eville crew handeled it, and apparernlty the guy overdosed on caffeeine pills. I reset the pager and went back to sleep. I woke up again around 05:10 hours when the tones went off again for a call in Millersburg at the Dialysis Center. The Eville crew was just getting ready to clear from the last call, and they took this call in. So I reset the pager and went back to sleep once again. I woke up around 07:40 hours when Kuntz came back in from the bathroom and let the door slam. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and then put my pillow away in mu suitcase and got my boots on. I then grabbed my stuff out of the rig and brought it into the day room. Jim them came in around 07:55 hours and then Kathy came in shortly after he did. I then clocked out and talked to Kathy for a little bit and then left to head on home. I made a quick stop at Swab's and took some pictures of the body which is now sitting in the electrical shop awaiting the start of rough wiring. I then left there and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this morning around 11:30 hours and I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then went downstairs and rode my 5 miles on the exercise bike. I then got on the computer and worked on my one article for this year's convention yearbook. Then at 14:00 hours I went downstairs with my mother and we went through some mof my things and we have quite a bit to take up to goodwill, which we plan on doing this Friday. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 17:30 hours and headed up to the hall for bingo. I parked behind the hall and as I was doing that, I heard the Engine turn into the alley. So I went over and opened the Engine bay door and here it was Lyle and Lonny. They had gone to fill some guys hot tub. I then headed up to the hall and once Jess got there we got to work selling the stuff. Shortly before bingo started, Bubba's pager went off and it was a 29 call, for all available personel to respond to their station for an emergency work detail. Bingo then started and a few games in, Bubba's pager went off again for a 29 call, this time for all available personel to respond to their station to assist in a search detail. Then shortly after the first special, everyones pagers went off for all available 216 personel to respond to the top of Peters Mountain to assist in a search detail. Everyone started getting up to go on the call and Bubba said he would pick who would go. I was originally going to stay and call second half, but then he talked to Lonny and Lonny said he would call the second half, so Bubba told me I could go and to run home and get my boots. So I ran home and got my old pair of work boots that I kept for occassions like this and then headed back up to the station. Once there I parked and then headed into the station. The Engine was already started. On the Engine it was Bubba driving, then Troy. House and LeeAnn. I grabbed my gear and headed around the front of the Tanker and Bubba pointed at me and then the Utility and I shook my head. I then put my gear in the Utility and the moved it out and Troy shut the Engine bay door and turned the lights out. We got to the top of the mountain and I put one of the vest from the Utility on and grabbed a hand light and the portable radio and then we reported to Alf nad we got our assignment and off we went. We had probally gone about 1-1/2 miles when they said that they had contacted him and he was spending the night in the Clarks Ferry Shelter out on the trail. We then headed back to stagging and once all the teams were back in, we were relased. Bubba told me to just head back to the station since I didn't need any fuel and they were going to stop. So I headed back to the station and backed the Utility in and then waited for the Engine to get back. While I was waiting for the Engine, I took my gear out of the Engine and put it back in my stall and then the Engine got back and I opened the Engine bay door and Bubba backed in and then I shut the bay door and then I filled out the run sheet for the call. I then went back up to the hall to finish helping with bingo. Once bingo was over it was noted that the sink was not draining. LeeAnn asked me to take a look at it and I checked the drains and they were clear. Bubba came in and he said that the pipe outside might be frozen. I then said that I would run up to Wal-Mart to see if they had any of this liquid heat that Martha had talked about. I got up there and they didn't have it. So I grabbed some Roto-Rooter stuff and heaed on back down to the hall. After empting the sink by hand, I put this stuff in and am going to let it sit over night. I then left and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Pictures Scanned
I went to bed last night at 01:00 hours as I was falling asleep at the computer and was rocked out of bed this morning around 10:18 hours when the pager went off to set up a landing zone at Station 216. I jumped out of bed and took my pj's off and got dressed and grabbed my wallet, cell phone, pager and job sweat and then my keys and got in my car and took off for the fire house. I got there and pulled in and Ray was already there and getting his gear on. I parked and went in the front door as Ray said that Bubba had just gone in there. So I went in and kicked my shoes off and took my job sweat off and laid it on top of the fridge and then got my bunker pants on and my jacket and grabbed my helmet. Ray then came in the front door and then we both got in the Engine. I then got back out so I could shut the door once the Engine was gone and then I got back in the officer's seat. I thought we were going to land them out front, Bubba was going to land them in the field behind Helen's house and he told County this and county said that they had given Life Lion the cordinates for the field at the intersection of Armstrong Valley Road and Tobias Road, so we said ok and went there. We got there and me and Ray set the cones up and then we waited for Life Lion to show up. 6-8 then showed up and 6-2 was behind him. Yeager was driving and it was Flipper and Boyer in the back with an unconscious man they brought down from Wal-Mart. After they dicked around some in the back of 6-8, we helped them load the guy into Life Lion and then they took off and we picked the cones up and then shot the shit. Schoffstall had pulled into the station as we pulled into Armstrong Valley Road and he grabbed his gear and then came to the scene. Jean then got there and did traffic control and then Dave and Jason showed up in Dave's truck with a cattle trailer being pulled behind it. We joked with him that we were going to give him a break this time. We then headed back to the station and Katina was there and we shot the shit while I filled out the run sheet. We then all left around 11:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went down stairs and rode 5 miles on the exercise bike and then came upstairs and scanned in all the pictures that Dave Houseal had sent me and got them cropped and saved and loaded up to photobucket. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and left the house around 18:00 hours and headed up to the fire hall for the meeting. The meeting went good and afterwards they had the Fire Police meeting. Myself, LeeAnn and Katina talked to Bill about getting the TV that his parents wanted to donate to the fire company tonight. So the three of us loaded up into LeeAnn's vehicle and followed Bill over to his house. We then loaded the TV into the back of Bill's truck and took it over to Katina's house and are going to store it in her garage until we get the new station built. We then went back to the hall and after the Fire Police meeting was over, myself, Jess, Troy, Dave, Robin and Holly shot the shit some up in the hall and then we all left around 21:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Farm Rescue, Day 2
I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and woke up this morning at 08:30 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes and then grabbed my digital camera and then left the house around 08:30 hours and headed up to the fire house for day 2 of farm rescue training. I got up there and they were outside getting the grain bin simulator set up. I went into the station and LeeAnn and Lonny were taking the 3 tables from Jean into the station. My father then showed up and we said about moving the Engine out so we could set tables up in the bay. So I moved the Engine out and Dave had my father get the gas meter out of the Utility. Then Truck 20 showed up and then Engine 29-1 showed up playing the Looney Tones theme song. We then all went inside and they had the table set up with all the doughnuts on it and the coffee and cups set out and we then talked about what we were all going to do today. After we went over that, we went outside and they went over the grain bin simulator with us. We then went over to a rope pull station that had set up to see how much force someone could pull. I pulled around 435 I think. We then loaded up in the Engine and the Utility and headed to Penmen's Farm to look at a grain bin set up. From there we headed up to the Faust farm to go over thermal imaging on a silo, thermometer probes, and pierecing nozzles. We then moved over to the Shoop farm and Truck 20 set up and took a few of us up to take a look at the top of a Havestor Silo. We then went down around back and they showed us how they gas a oxygen-limiting silo. We then headed on back to the station around 12:00 hours. Once back there we took the final test and then Robin came in with the three, 3 foot subs from Subway for lunch. They also had different bags of chips and some soup also. After everyone ate, we went over the test and then the guys from 20 and 29 left. We then started to clean things up and then my father took the Engine and I took the Utility and we ran into Shell to ge fuel and then headed on back out. Once back out, everyone was still talking to Eric about some more classes, most notablly a vehicle rescue class I believe next October. We then put the trucks away. The hall was now being rented so we couldn't take the tables and chairs back up to the hall until 15:30 hours. Katina asked me if I could hang around until then and I said that I could. She then ran home quickly and while she was gone I did the checks on the medical bags on the trucks. Katina then got a phone call from her mother that they were coming down Peters Mountain and asked me if I would mind helping get the recliner in her house and I said that was not a problem. LeeAnn then came out to help also and once we got it in, we heaed back to the fire station. LeeAnn then worked on changing the sign along the road and then once the people were done in the hall, we took the tables and chairs back up and got the hall set back up. I then had the last piece of ham and cheese sub left over for dinner and some chips while LeeAnn and Katina worked on three blankets. My father then showed up around 17:40 hours and got things set up for Con-Ed class tonight. Nancy then showed up and we had class on Documentation. After class was over, I went down and locked the station up and then headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then watched Jeff Dunham's 1 hour Chirstmas Special on Comedy Central, and I laughed my ass off. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Farm Rescue Training
I went to bed last night around 01:30 hours and got up this morning at 08:20 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then grabbed something small to eat for breakfast and then headed up to the fire house around 08:30 hours. I got up there and Eric and the other instructors, along with David and Holly. People slowly started coming in and once Robin got there I helped sit some cakes out for the guys to munch on. Class was pretty good, and we learned alot. We finished with the book work by lunch time and we broke for lunch. They made more of the ham and also chicken and waffles and then soda, and more cake for dessert. We were going to do some hands on stuff in the afternoon, but the weather didn't look to promising. Then a few people got a tornado watch and then we decided to end early at 13:00 hours. A bunch of us then went down to the fire house and shot the shit and then I got in the back of the Utility and took the SCBA Mask bags out since the SCBA's are on longer in there. I then headed on home around 13:55 hours when everyone left. Once at home I read the paper wand watched the end of the Penn State/Indiana game. We blew Indana out of the water and won. I then got on the computer to do a few things and then changed shirts and left the house around 17:30 hours and headed on over to the Carsonville Hotel for dinner tonight with Lonny, Dave, Holly and two of the instructor's from class and their wives. I got there and I was actually the first person there. Once everyone got there we put our orders in. I had a Carsonville Chesseburger and Chicken Fingers and 3 Coors Lights. Dave got an order of fries and him, Lonny and myself shared them. I left here around 20:40 hours and headed on home. Once at home I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Another Fire Call
I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and was rocked out of bed around 04:50 hours when the fire pager went off for a medical assist, lifting assistance in town. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my keys and got in my car and headed up to the station. When I got in town, I saw it was at Stoneroad's house on the corner. So I went down the alley and LeeAnn was walking down the alley when I turned in and then I parked in the lot beside the old firehouse and walked down to the house. I got there and LeeAnn and Bubba had just taken the stretcher into the house and he asked me to move the ambulance forward some, which I did. Bill and Sue were on and they were helping the lady onto the stretcher and then Ray showed up and the four of us (myself, Bubba. LeeAnn, and Ray brought the stretcher out and loaded it in the back of the ambulance and then Bill and Sue left. I headed back up to the fire house and then Robby pulled in the alley and gave me a ride up to the fire house. We then talked to LeeAnn for a little bit outside and then me and Robby went inside the firehouse. I filled out a run sheet and then shot the shit with Robby for a little bit and then we both left around 05:25 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I changed back into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. My mother woke me up at 08:20 hours and I got out of bed and ate breakfast while I read the front section of the paper. I then changed into street clothes and we got in her van and headed on down to Harrisburg to go visit my grandfather. We first stopped at Rite Aid and I dropped off a perscription for myself and my mother and then we continued on our way. We then stopped at the Members 1st Bank in Union Deposit and I cashed my check and then rasied the monthly payment I make on my car loan and then we continued on to my grandfather's house. We got there and we went inside and visited with my grandfather. I read the rest of the paper and then helped my mother straighten out the hall bathroom closet with my mother and then the three of us sat in the living room and talked about different things. We then left around 13:30 hours to head on home as we had a few stops to make along the way. The first place we stoped was Hospics to drop off the emergency kit that came a few days after my grandmother died. We then stopped at Rite Aid and picked up our medications and then went to Giant to pick up a few things and then headed on home. Once at home I helped my mother bring the food and stuff inside and get stuff put away. I then changed t-shirts and left the house around 15:00 hours and headed up to the fire hall to get things ready for the county firemen's executive board meeting tonight at the hall. I got up there and moved some tables around and swept the floor and took the two drink jugs down to the fire house and put them on top of the cabinet. Robin then showed up first and then Kataina, then Jean, then LeeAnn and finally Lonny came in to help. I helped get the tables set up and then helped where I could. The meeting went very good and the meal was good. Once everyone left I helped clean the place up and then left around 20:30 hours and headed on home with my two box lids fill of old covention mugs and glasses that Sean had given me that he had gotten from someone and he didn't want all of the mugs/glasses. I took them home and went through them and there had to be at least 25 mugs/glasses that I am keeping and my father got 7 of the duplicates. I thene took a shower and ate a light snack and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Morning Fire Call
I went to bed Tuesday night around 02:30 hours and got up Wednesday morning at 06:20 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and suitcase and took it out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 06:30 hours to head up to Eville to go to work. I was going in an hour early for Yeager. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up a paper and then headed to the station. Once there I parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in. Yeager was sleeping on the blue couch and Tracey had left early once again. I put my lunch box and Gatorade bottles in the fridge and then did a rig check on 6-8 and checked both the ALS and BLS supplies. I then got on the computer and ate breakfast while I filled out the proper forms and then checked a few things. Jim them came in and I went out into the day room and sat down and read the paper. Boyer then came in and two guys came in and they had a meeting I believe about the radio porject. While that was going on, Boyer had me go get 6-5 ready for Spitler's to take back up to have work done on it. The Lykens crew of Tim and Stutzman then called down to see if we wanted to go anywhere for breakfast and I said that I had just eaten and Jim said that he was fine also. Tim then told Jim that they would be down in about 30 minutes after they did a few things up there. About 10 minutes later the tones went off for I believe it was Heart Problems in Gratz Borough. 6-5 took that call, but Jim wanted to head up also to help out. So we got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there 2 minutes behind them and went inside and heled move her out of the bedroom and then loaded her into 6-7 and off they went to the hospital and we headed back to Eville. I stopped at Shell and got fuel and then stopped at Koppy's so Jim could get something to eat. Once back at the station, Boyer said that I had a box up front and when I opened it up, it was the new Kendrick Splints. I took the box back to the day room so I could get them marked and on the trucks then. I then went into Boyer's office to talk to him about a few things once he was done talking to Jim and I never got that chance as the tones went off for an unconscious person at SLV in Upper Paxton Township. So I ran Jim down there and then once he headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital, I headed on back to the station. Once there I ate lunch and checked a few things online. I then talked to Boyer about a few things and then I headed on down to Sheetz around 13:15 hours to go pick Jim up. I got down there and moved his gear over and then we headed on back to Eville. Jim and Stutzman came back shortly before I left to go pick up Jim and once we got back and got Stutzman to help me mark up the Kendrick Splints and then we took some of the bags/cases (such as the KED Board, Pediatric Board and etc.) and we put groments in them and then we put them back on the truck. They then left around 16:00 hours to go grab something to eat and then headed back up to Lykens. Then around 16:30 hours the tones went off for a fall victim, class 3 in Washington Township. Me and Jim got in 6-8 and off we went. We got there and it was kind of a fall victim. What ended up happening, was the lady went to get out of her car while it was still in reverse and she got tossed out and hit by the car. So we ended up putting a c-collar on her and we tried to lay her down on a backboard, but she got all bitchy, so we ended up putting a KED Board around her and then Jim drove us down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back. I stopped at Sheetz so I could grab something to eat and then we headed on back to the Eville station. Tim and Stutzman had just gotten there when we got back. I had no medic for the night shift in Eville, so we made an ambulance and a squad. I then ate dinner while I watched the Discovery Channel. Tim went back to lay down around 21:20 hours and then it was me and Stutzman watching TV. The tones then went off around 22:45 hours for an assult victim in Lykens Borough, class 3. Me and Stutzman got in 6-8 and off we went. We stagged at Kevin's place until PSP said we could go in. The lady's daughter threw a bowl at her and the lady got a laceration on her left eblow that you could see some of the muscle through the laceration. We bandaged her up and then we took her down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back to Eville. I stopped at Koppy's to grab something to drink and then we headed back to the station. Once there I went back to doing my chart from the fall victim and then went to bed around 02:00 hours. Stutzman fell asleep on the couch in the day room, so I took the matteress in the BLS room. The tones went off arounn 06:45 hours for an accident with injuries in Northumberland County with us for ALS. Tim got up and went in the squad and I laid back down to get some more sleep. I then got up at 07:45 hours when the alarm on my cell phone went off. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and put my pillow away and then filled out my time sheet for the pay period. Wertz came in around 07:00 hours and was still up when I came out of the BLS room. As I put my time sheet in the bin, my fire pager went off for a smoke investigation in Halifax Borough. John had just come in and it was 08:00 hours, so I grabbed my stuff, clocked out and got in my car and took off for the fire house. I tried calling Bubba twice to tell him I was coming to the station from work, but he didn't answer. As I was passing the Bible Church, I heard the Engine go responding with 3. I pulled in and got out of my just as Command 29 placed the box in service. So I went in the open Engine bay door and I heard a door slam. Here it was the Utility door and Bubba was standing back at the desk. Here he had been getting ready to get in the shower when the call came in and he missed the Engine. The Engine got back and it was Jason, Dave and Schoffstall on the Engine and Jean pulled in right before the Engine. We shot the shit for a little bit and then I headed on hoem to get changed for the funeral. Once at home I changed into my uniform and then headed back up to the fire house around 08:40 hours. I got there and Bubba was already back up from the house. Andy stopped in and we had found out a little earlier that the smoke investigation was for his stove an chimeny, as he has a corn burning stove and when it burns, the smoke really comes out of the pipe. I then got my gear on the Tanker and then me and Bubba left and headed on up to Millersburg. We headed to their station and shot the shit there until 29 got there and then we shot the shit a little bit more and then around 10:00 hours we headed on down to the funeral home. We parked down on Keystone street and then walked up to the funeral home and signed in and viewed the body. We then took part in the firefighters portion of the service. After the service was over, we headed back down to the apparatus. Engine 21, ourselves and Engine 29-1 then headed on down to the old Hardee's and parked the apparatus along the right shoulder and turned all the emergency lights on. Truck was was set up in the parking lot with an american flag extending from the bucket. We then put out bunker jackets on and helmet and all stood in a line and stood at attention and salutted when the procession when by. We then wrapped things up and then headed back to the station. We got back a little after 12:00 hours and I took my gear off of the Tanker and then Bubba made a few phone calls and showed me a few video's online. We then both left around 13:20 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I changed and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to start working one of my two stories for this years convention yearbook. I then ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into streer clothes and left the house around 17:20 hours and headed up to Eville. I stopped at Shell and got gas and then headed to work for the mandatory sexual harassment training schedule for 18:00 hours tonight. That was fun (rolls eyes). After it was over we all shot the shit and I left there around 19:40 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and then ate a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Ham Dinner, a Code and CAFS
I went to bed Sunday night around 03:00 hours and woke up at 06:40 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and turned it off and made the mistake of laying back down on the bed and fell back asleep. I woke up the second time around 07:45 hours and I got out of bed and changed into street clothes. I then went downstairs and grabbed the Pumpkin Pie and then got in my car and headed up to the fire hall for the ham dinner. I got up there and Martha, and LeeAnn were there. I parked and went inside and put my pie on the cake table and then went to work helping in any way that I could. People slowly started showing up, with Schoffstall and then Tonita and so on. I helped sit the applesuace out, get the creamer (milk) ready and move cakes around and other things. We started serving at 11:00 hours and the crowd had died down by 13:30 hours. We served over 350 people between eat-in's and take-out's. We then slowly started cleaing things up and then it was time for us to eat. I had 3 pretty big pieces of ham and then we went back to cleaing things up. We were finished cleaing things up by 17:10 hours and then I headed down to the fire house with Bubba and Lonny to work on the Utility some. When I got down there, Bubba was finishing up getting the orders for the job sweats and gear bags ready and then me and Lonny worked on getting the SCBA's brackets out of the Utility so they can go on the new Squad. I then left the fire house around 19:00 hours and headed on home to get ready to go to work. I left the house around 19:20 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I called an order into Jo-Jo's for two slices of siclian pizza. I then stopped at Koppy's and grabbed a soda to drink and something to munch on that night and then went over to Jo-Jo's and got my slices of pizza and then headed to the station. Once there I parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in. I then put my stuff and Gatorade bottle in the fridge and then did a quick check on the ALS and BLS supplies. Yeager then came in and Audrey told me that she was staying on overnight and her and me would be making a BLS truck and Tim was going to come down and him and Yeager were going to make a MICU. I then ran Audrey up to Koppy's so she could grab something to eat and then we went back to the station. Once there I read the Sunday paper and ate my slices of pizza. Then around 22:00 hours the tones went off fir breathing problems in Williamstown Borough. Tim took that call with 6-5. I then laid down and went to sleep at 01:00 hours and Tim came in a few minutes later. The tones then went off at 01:40 hours for a cardiac arrest in Washington Township, at Dauphin Meadows. We all got up and took off to the scene. We ended up doing CPR along the side of 209 for about 20 minutes and then medical command called it. The corner was there within 10 minutes and after he talked to the boyfriend and took a few pitcures, we helped him load her into his SUV and then we went available and went back to the station. I laid down to go to sleep around 03:00 hours after the 4 of us talked for awhile. I woke up at 07:50 hours when Jim came in and let the door slam. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got ny boots on and put my pillow away and then clocked out at 08:04 hours and got in my car to head on home. I stopped at Swab's and got some more pictures of the body for the Squad. I took a few pictures and then headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. April had come up in bed with me around 15:00 hours as I told my mother I was going to crash in bed and catch up on my sleep when I came home. Then at 15:19 hours the tones went off for the Tanker to go to Millersburg to assist 20 with out CAFS. I got out of bed and got dressed and grabbed my pager, wallet, watch and cell phone and then my keys and got in my car and headed up to the fire house. My father was already gone and was getting out of his truck by the time I pulled in. He asked me if all they wanted was just the Tanker and I said yes as I went inside the station. I kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and went up front and opened the Tanker bay door up. My father asked who was going and he said that he was there first. I then saw Troy pull in and I said to him probally Troy and then Schoffstall pulled in and then Bubba and then Jason. Bubba came in and talked to Troy who said that he wasn't comfortable running the foam on the Tanker yet so Bubba said that he would go. He then said that whoever was going to get in awhile. I looked at my father and I said your still going to get credit for it and he said you should let me go since I am off today. I put my gear in the Tanker and then got in and off we went. We were headed to Coleman's Salvage and Surplus to lay a blanket of foam down on crates and metal and rubber parts that had been burning. We got there and they originally wanted us to flow foam out of our deck gun, but Bubba told him that we don't have the CAFS hooked up to it. We then said about using the RAM and then Mark, Chief 20-2 came over and said about using the trash line, which is what we did. We used about half a tank of foam and 3/4 of the 3,000 gallons in the tank until we finished with it. We then put everything away and headed back to 20's station to fill up with water. While we were there getting filled up, they got hit for a smoke investigation in the borough. They were out for only a little bit on that as the box was placed in service then as it was a controlled burn. After we got filled up with water, we headed into Shell and got fuel and then headed back out to the station. Once there, Jason, Andy, and Troy filled the foam tank up on the Tanker and I repacked the 50' section of the trash line that was used and then Troy left. Then the 4 of us shot the shit while Bubba put the report in the computer and then Andy left and then me and Bubba shot the shit. We both then left around 19:15 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I ate dinner and am now getting ready to take a shower and then am going to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

A Crazy Past 3 Days
I went to bed Wednesday night around 04:00 hours after looking at the owenr's manual to my new cell phone an I got up Thursday afternoon around 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and read the paper. I then went to work setting my new phone up and putting my phone numbers back in to the cell phone and make the general transition over to my new phone. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV and did a few things online. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 18:00 hours to help Katina move the tables around and get some things moved around for the Ham Dinner on Sunday. I got up there and no one was there, so I gave Katina and buzz and she said that she would be over after she finished eating dinner at Schoffstall's house and that LeeAnn would also be up after she was done eating dinner. I went in the hall and noticed that Katina had already moved the tables all around. I then swept the floor, went down to the station and got the water jugs down and took them up to the hall, then moved the tables around and set up those tables into the set up for the paper products we use to re-set the tables. I then moved the coffee machine out to the one table and then moved a few things around in the kitchen. LeeAnn then showed up around 19:00 hours and I helped her move some more stuff around in the kitchen. Katina then showed up, followed by Jaz and Jess. We started talking and decided to play a game of Phase 10. Jess then left and headed on down to the house after we were done with the game. Then myself, LeeAnn and Katina then went to work moving roasters around and a few other things. Then at 21:41 hours the tones went off for all available personnel from Companies 19, 216, and 29 to report to Station 19 to assist in a search detail. Me and LeeAnn took off for the fire house. Once there I kicked my shoes off and got my bunker pants on and then grabbed my jacket and helmet and put them on the hood of the Utility. I then opened up the Engine bay door and started the Engine up. Robby then called the station and told LeeAnn that he was heading to Station 19 and for us to bring the Utility. So she moved the Engine out and I pulled the Utility out and parked it in front of the Tanker bay door so I could run back inside and grab Robby's gear. As I started back towards the station, the phone rang again and once again it was Robby. Meanwhile Andy was on the phone with LeeAnn and said he was on his way to the station. Robby said to scratch what he had just said and that we would be taking the Engine now. So I backed the Utility back in while LeeAnn backed the Engine around and grabbed Robby's gear and then I shut the Engine bay door and waited for Robby and Andy to get there. Jean showed up and came over to the Engine to ask me what we had and I told her it was to assist with a search detail. SHe asked me if she should grab water and some snacks and I said that I would. Once Robby got there he said that Troy and Lonny were now heading to Station 19 also and that he wanted me to bring the Utility also. So I grabbed my gear out of the back of the Engine and went over to the Engine bay door and opened it up again and threw my gear back in the front seat of the Utility and pulled the Utility out again and then shut the door. We then went responding and headed on over to Station 19. Once there we signed in and once everyone from Company 29 got there and signed in, Dave Warefl briefed us on what the situation was. There was a hunter in his early 60's lost in the woods, who was a diabetic, and had a leg injury. We then loaded up into the apparatus and POV's and headed up to the parkling lot at Hand Board to stage. Once there I grabbed the portable radio out of the Utility and I grabbed the one box light and Schoffstall who rode over with me, grabbed the other box light and we went over to the command post. They then split us up into 4 different teams on foot and there were also 3 ATV's running around and two of them were equipped with night vision goggles. We walked in for about 2 miles and we met up with two rangers from the Game Commission and also Jason and Chuck from the Carsonville Hotel. The Rangers asked for a County fire radio and I said that I was responsible for it. They then also said about one of us going along with them with a radio. I said that I would go if it was ok with the team leader, who was Keith Pottiger. He said it was ok and off we went and headed up to 9:00 run. We got there and by that time the PSP Chopper had been in the air for at least 20 minutes. I took the opportunity to relieve myself and then we heard Command 19 giving units cordinates from the hunter's cell phone and within a short time, the chopper was circling his general area, which put him at the Jackson Township, Jefferson Township line. We were less then a quarter of a mile from the trail that he was said to be off of, so we turned around and headed back to that trail and took it until we got under the choppers position. 2 of the 3 ATV's also headed to the scene and were there by the time we got there. He wanted to walk out himself, and Alf and Kim helped him and I helped lead the way and scout out suitable footing and we got him back out to the main trail and then they brought him out in the one ATV and I got a ride back out with the Rangers. Once we debriefed, we all went available and could return. I dropped Schoffstall off at Station 19 and then headed into Shell and got fuel for the Utility and then headed back to the station. Once there the Engine was there and everyone was inside and they had the Engine bay door opened. I backed the Utility in and then plugged it in and grabbed my bunker gear out of the Utility and put it back in my stall and put my shoes back on. We then shot the shit for a little bit and then Robby said that they were heading into Shell to get fuel for the Engine and the generator as we had used it to supply lighting at the upper parking lot. We then stopped at Sheetz so they could get something to eat and then we headed back to the station. Once there I filled out the run sheet for the call and then I left around 03:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I hopped in the shower quickly and took a shower and then went to sleep around 04:00 hours. I got up at 06:30 hours Friday morning when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my digital camera and my suitcase and took them out to the kithcen. I then packed my lunch and left the house around 06:45 hours and headed on up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Swab's to take a look at the body for the squad and they had done a little bit more to it since me and Bubba were there Wednesday. I got a few pictures and talked to Jay for a few minutes and then I went over to the office and picked up a t-shirt for Troy and one for Tonita and then headed to the Eville station. I got there and parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in. No one was there as both medics had to leave at 06:00 hours and Jim told Stutzman to head up to Lykens to make a BLS truck up since he was there for a 24 hour shift for Friday. Jim came in and he was my medic for the day and Wertz was up in Lykens with Stutzman. I checked supplies and did a rig check on 6-7 and then we headed up to Special Place around 08:45 hours to eat breakfast. I had my usual, a side order of bacon and a side order of white toast. I had finished eating breakfast and paid for my meal when the tones went off for chest pains in Mifflin Township at Pine Creek Structures. Me and Jim took that call in 6-7 and once we got there and got the guy loaded up, we headed on down to Harrisburg Hospital. After we got what we needed, we headed on back to Eville. I stopped at the Shell in Halifax and got fuel for the truck and then we continued on back to Eville. Once back I helped Jim restock his gear and then I sat down on the couch and read the paper. Apparently over Thursday night Boyer had Stutzman and Steve move all the furniture around in the day room and everything is in a new place now, and most of us don't like the set up. But anyway back to what I was saying, I read the paper and then I ate lunch while watching TV. We then headed over to the Great Gratz Mall around 15:00 hours so Jim could pick up a few things. I got 4 beef sticks from Troutman's Meat's and then stopped at Koppy's on the way back and picked up one of those small Ellio's pizza's for dinner and a 20 ounce soda to go with it and then we headed back to the station. Once back at the station I got on the computer to play a few games. I then put my pizza in around 16:30 hours and ate that while I watched some TV. I then took a small nap on the one couch in the day room and woke up around 19:30 hours. Tracey didn't come in at 20:00 hours and Jim tried to call him but got his voice mail. Well the Lykens crew of Tim and Stutzman came down and Jim asked Stutzman to call him and he said that he wasn't on the schedule for the night. So Jim called Kunst and he came in and did the night shift. Around 00:30 hours the tones went off for us to respond to Pillow Borough in place of Northumberland Ambulance 62 and stage to assist PSP with a huge fight they had up there. As I was getting ready to responding, Ambulance 62 went responding and we were placed in service. I had just laid down when around 01:31 hours the tones went off for an unknown problems, class 2 in Washington Township. It was our frequent flyer crazy lady. I got the stuff back in my belt and my boots on and got in the truck with Kunst and put us responding, at which time County told us that the patient called back and didn't want an ambulance to come to the house, so we went available and I went back into the day room and laid back down on the couch. Kunst got a soda and decided to stay up and ended up watching TV while I slept. Then around 02:10 hours the tones went off again for breathing problems at the same place. I got up again and got the stuff back on my belt again and got my boots on again and got back in 6-7 and off we went. We got there and she was not having any breathing problems. We ended up getting a refusal on her and went back to the station. Once back at the station I entered my trip sheet into the computer and had once again just laid down when around 03:10 hours the tones went off again to assist PSP with a 302 commitment to the same address again. I once again repeated what I did the past 2 times and PSP wanted us to stage with them having a 30 minute ETA to the scene and we ended up going to the scene and I ended up talking to the main dispatch center for PSP and we took her down to Osteopathic Hospital. After we got what we needed there we headed on back. I had Kunst stop at Sheetz for me and I grabbed two of those chicken biscuit sandwhich's and we headed back up through. We got back to the station at 05:03 hours and I went in and clocked out as Zach was already there. I then did my tripsheet and then clocked out and left by 05:30 hours. I ran up to Shell and ran my car through the automatic car wash and then headed on home and was home by 05:45 hours. Once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. My mother woke me up at 08:30 hours this morning so I could get dressed and we could get moving down to the cemetary for my grandmother's funeral services this morning. I got up and changed in to nice street clothes and we left the house by 08:50 hours and headed on down to the cemetary. I drove my car and my father and mother went in my mother's van. We had private services with just immediate family members at the cemetary and then we all headed back to the house for a little bit. Jack and Sherly talked my Grandfather into going down to Hoss's to eat lunch like they normally do, so me and my father left in my car and my mother stayed to talk with her best friend Bev. We then ran over to Sam's Club and I picked up a pumpkin pie for the Ham Dinner tomorrow and then my father bought us lunch at Sam's. We then ran over to my uncle's house in Enola so he could take a look at my new car and then we headed on home. Once at home I changed t-shirts and then headed up to the fire house to help with getting the final things done for the ham dinner tommorrow. I helped sweep, House mopped and when I got there Bubba had me go down to the computer and make up some signs for the desinated smoking area outside which they had set up. I then helped Jess move the slices of cake for the take-outs around and helped move some stuff around in the kitchen and then we set the chairs down and got the tables covered and set up for tomorrow. Katina and Schoffstall left after Jess left first, then Troy left and then Lonny showed up. He helped with what little was left to do and then he went down to Bubba and Robin's house to visit. Then myself, LeeAnn, House and Michelle played Phase 10 in the hall and we placed na order with Pizza Delight for dinner as I was getting hungry and hadn't eaten since 11:30 this morning. I then left up there around 21:20 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am now soon going to bed as I am tired.

New Cell Phone
I left the house last night around 19:15 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I got there and parked and took my stuff inside and clocked in and then put my bottle of Gatorade in the fridge. I then asked Zach if he could come in at 05:00 hours for me Saturday morning since I have my grandmother's funeral to go to Saturday morning. I then put the supplies away that had come since last week and I also checked on supplies. Tim then came in as he was my medic for the night shift and then Zach and Flipper left. After I got all the supplies put away and checked, I did a rig check on 6-7. The Lykens crew then called down to see about going somewhere for dinner. We agreeded on Jo-Jo's and then the tones went off for breathing problems in Williamstown Borough. 6-5 took that call and then me and Tim headed up to Jo-Jo's. I got a slice of pizza to go and just drank a soda as I had already eaten dinner before going to work. Steve then came down after dropping Bowser off with 24. After we were done eating, we all headed back to the Eville station. Once there I filled out my rig check form and then put another supply order in. Tim ahd election coverage on, so I got on the computer and played some games. Steve then left and headed back up to Williamstown to pick up Bowser and then Tim went to bed around 01:00 hours and I went back out to the day room and ate my snack while I watched Dirty Jobs on TV. I went to sleep at 03:00 hours and woke up at 07:45 hours when Jim called the station to say that he wasn't going to make it in today. I then got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and put my pillow away. Kathy then came in and I clocked out and gave her the report on the truck and about Jim calling off and then we talked a little bit and then I left to head up to Swab's. I stopped at Swab's to get a few pictures of the body. They have all the compartments welded together and are starting to work on welding the support tubing for the rear slide out tray. I then left and headed on home and once at home I changed into pj's and went back to bed to get a little bit more sleep. Bubba called around 10:30 hours and asked me if I was doing anything later on this afternoon, and I said no and he asked me if I wanted to go along with him up to Klingerstown to pick up the ham's and I said sure. I then went back to sleep and I woke up at 11:30 hours when I heard my mother come home. I got up and helped her bring a few things in from her van and then we talked some. I then ate lunch and then read the paper. I then got on the computer to check a few things and then Bubba called me around 13:15 hours and said whenever I was ready I could come up. I then changed into street clothes and then headed up to the fire house. I parked behind the fire house and went up to the hall. The guy that was working on the bingo machine was still there and he finished up around 14:30 hours and then me and Bubba left and we headed to Valley Ag first and then we headed to Eville and stopped at Swab's so Bubba could take a look at the body for the new squad. We were there until close to 16:00 hours and then we left and headed on up to Klingerstown to pick up the ham's. Once up there we got the ham's and then headed on back to the station. Bubba stopped at the Shell in Eville so he could grab a tea and then we continued on back to the station. Once back at the station we unloaded all the ham's and put them in the fridge in the back room. I then moved the tables around by the front door and had Katina help me put the one long table we have leaning up against the one wall like Jess wanted and then I started moving the bingo stuff back over. The lady from Lancaster Bingo then stopped in and dropped off our new bingo balls and I put them in the machine and then had Jaz take all the old ones and put them in the box that the new balls had just come from. Bingo went pretty good tonight, we had 28 players and I think we did pretty good. After bingo was over we cleaned stuff up and then myself, Lonny, LeeAnn, Katina, Martha, and Gary all sat around and shot the shit until almost 23:30 hours and then we all left and headed on home. Once at home my mother told me that my new cell phone came and I said I would take a look at it after I got my shower, which I did and am soon going to bed as I am tired.

Now is the Last Time to Mow the Lawn
I went to bed last night around 03:30 hours after reading for about 30 minutes and got up this morning around 11:21 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch and then read the paper. My grandmothers obiturary was in today's paper and I must have read it 5 times. I am still on an emotional swing and I am very thankful to my friends who are supporting me and allowing me to talk to them when I need to. I then changed to street clothes and headed up to the township building and voted and then stopped at home and sat the chicken out for dinner and then headed up to the fire house. Once there I mowed the lawn, hopefully for the last time this year and was finished my 14:30 hours. I then put the mower away and headed on home. My mother had just gotten home a few minutes before I did and her and me talked some more. I am now getting ready to check a few things online and then am going to eat dinner and get ready to go to work tonight at Eville. I won't be back on until sometime tomorrow.

New Secretary?
I went to bed last night around 02:30 hours and got up this afternoon at 12:10 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went down stairs and rode 5 miles on the exercise bike and then came upsatairs and did 70 crunches in my room. I then got on the computer to check a few things while my mother ran into Giant to pick up a few things. While she was gone I went outside and finished taking down the Halloween decorations and brought them in the house and then once she got home from the store I helped her bring the food in and put it away. I then made and ate dinner while I watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house for the meeting. LeeAnn and Katina were already there when I pulled in and as I was parking, Bill pulled in. I then went into the station and did my medical checks on the trucks and then headed up to the hall. Kenny had come over while I was down at the station. The meeting got started a little late and it went pretty good. When it came time for nominations, Katina nominated me for Secretary and no one else was nominated. After the regular meeting was over we had the Firemen's Relief Meeting and then after that was over a bunch of us stood around and shot the shit and then people slowly started to leave until iot was just myself, Martha, Katina and LeeAnn. We then all left around 21:00 hours and I headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and had a light snack. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

RIP Grandma
I went to bed last night around 04:00 hours and I first got up this morning around 10:30 hours and went to the restroom. As I was headed back over to my bedroom, my father called me out to the living room and told me that my grandmother had passed away this morning at 05:10 hours. I said ok and went back to my bedroom and went back to bed as I was still tired and also kind of still in shock that it happened this fast. I mean we just found out 2 weeks ago that she had lung cancer and she went down hill from that. I then woke up the second time around 12:30 hours and I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. My mother then got home around 13:00 hours and I went back to the bedroom and her and me talked for about a half an hour. I then got on the computer to do a few things. I upgraded my cell phone and bought a book off of ebay that I have been watching for a few months now. I then made and ate dinner and then called Jess back and she had called me earlier in the afternoon when I sent text messages to Bubba, Bill and Boyer about my grandmother passing away. I talked to Bill online for quite awhile and I talked to Jess for about 15 minutes. I then took a shower and just finished eating a light snack and talking to Bubba who had also called earlier this afternoon. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.

Oh, La, La
I ate dinner last night and then my mother got home from the grandparents house. She told me that she was just coming home to get a shower and grab some clothes and then she was heading back down as my Grandmother was now home and she was going to spend the night. My mother then helped me get the fake blood on me and then I ended up taping some 3 x 3's to my chest and then taping the bottom part of the knife to my chest and then I took a triangular bandage and had my mother tie that around the knife to help hold it in place. I then left the house around 19:00 hours and headed up to the fire station. I parked in the lot beside the old fire station and then went over into the fire house and Bubba was on the computer. We talked and he showed me a few things and then LeeAnn came in and the three of us shot the shit for a little bit. We then went outside and Bubba headed down to the house and I gave him my daily number tickets, along with my father's daily number tickets to take down to the house and give to Jess. Troy then showed up next and then Lonny came in and then Martha came down. Jess came out and she was dressed up as a French Maid and boy did she look great in the outfit. Brian then pulled in and then Wang and Tonita came in. Tonita was dressed up as a hooker and she also looked great in her outfit. Bubba dressed up as a cowboy and Robin dressed up in a jail outfit and Wang dressed up as a Sherieff. We then all loaded up into the van and Brian had brought along a case of Miller Lite. I had 3 of them before we even got over to Shade. We stopped at Shell and I got a bottle of Gatorade. We also saw Schoffstall and Katina there. We then left and headed on over. We got there and got setteled in. I took a few picture of Jess and Tonita and had LeeAnn take a picture of me with both of them flanking me on both sides. I got to sing I believe 7 times, 3 of them were mine and 4 were with the Fisherville Gang or Wang Chung. I danced once with Tonita and once with Jess and I got another bite mark from Jess later on in the night. I can't remember how many Coors Lights I had, but I was feeling pretty good by the end of the night. I had one hell of a time last night and can't wait to go again in 3 weeks. We left there around 02:00 hours and once back at the fire house I again helped Tonita and Jess out of the van like I did over at Shade. I then hugged Jess, Tonita and Wang, and then I left and headed on home. Once at home I changed out of my clothes and went to bed around 03:11 hours. Sometime during the morning I ended up vomiting in my trash can as the one time when I woke up around 10:30 hours. I cleaned my trash can out and then went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up around 14:00 hours and my father told me to get cleaned up as we needed to head down to my grandparents house. So I jumped in the shower and then I ate lunch while he got a shower and then we left and headed on down to my grandparents house. Apparently my grandmother got worse since she came home yesterday. By the time we got down there, she was unresponsive. My mother told me that when the nurse came in this morning at 10:30 hours, she said that my grandmother had 12 to 24 hours left to live. I went in to her bedroom and I basically said goodbye to my grandmother and told her it was ok and that she could go whenever she wanted to. I then spent some time in the living room watching TV with my grandfather and my brother and my mother and father. Me and my father then left around 18:00 hours to head on home. I went back into my grandmother's bedroom and said goodbye one last time, as it probally will be the last time and then we left and headed on home. I stopped at Sheetz and got gas and we both got something to eat for dinner. I am now getting ready to hit the old email and surf the net. I am also watching the Texas vs. Texas Tech game and so far Texas Tech is ahead 12 to 0. I will be on late tonight so if any sexy ladies want to talk to me, just give me a buzz.
