New Secretary

I went to bed Saturday night around 02:30 hours and got up Sunday morning at 07:10 hours when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and got dressed and then grabbed my suitcase and digital camera and took them out to the kitchen. I then packed my lunch and got my Gatorade bottles together. I then left the house around 07:26 hours and headed up to Eville to go to work. I stopped at Koppy's and picked up a Sunday paper and then continued to the station. When I got there I noticed that 6-4 was gone and that Stutzman's truck was parked out back, so I knew that they hadn't found a medic for the day shift in Eville. So I parked and grabbed my stuff and headed inside. Stutzman was in the day room and I made to the comment to him that I guess they didnt find a medic for the day shift and he said no. I then clocked in and put my stuff in the fridge. I then asked him where Zach and Tim were and he said down in Millersburg. Millersburg then went enroute with Tim to Harrisburg Hospital. Kuntz then called the Eville station and told Stutzman that Jim was coming in to do the day shift which didn't please Stutzman that much. When Stutzman hung up I asked him what station Jim was coming into and he said Lykens. I made the comment that Tim was not going to be to happy as he was supposed to be working a 24 up in Lykens, as Wertz was coming in that night to start a backwards 36. So Stutzman was getting ready to leave when Zach got back and we talked for a little bit and then Stutzman left and headed up to Lykens. I then did a quick rig check on 6-4 and while I was doing that, Zach left. I then came in and ate breakfast while I filled out the proper form on the computer and checked a few other things. While I was doing this, 13 got hit to go to SLV for a fall victim. Tim then called and said he was ready to be picked up and to meet him at Sheetz. As I was pulling out of the station, 13 went enroute to the hospital. I got down to Sheetz and picked Tim up and then we headed back up to Eville. We went available as we went past Hoffman's and 13 got on right away and asked if we were still in Halifax and we said outside of Fisherville. They came back and said that they were going to need Tim. So I turned around at Gonder's and headed back into the High School to meet them. While we were heading there, the tones went off for an unconscious person in Eville Borough that the Lykens crew ended up taking. They were not parked at the High School, but below the High School, along the side of the road. Tim ended up going down with them to Osteo. I then ran up to Sheetz and got two chicken biscuit's for breakfast and then stopped at Shell and got fuel and then headed on back up to the station. Once there I tired to start 6-3 again and once again it was dead, so I put it on the battery charger again and then went in and ate my breakfast from Sheetz. Tim then called a little later and asked why I didn't pick him up and I asked him if he was at Sheetz yet and he said yes and to just pick him up at 13's station. So I got in 6-4 and off I went to 13's station. I got there and they weren't there yet, and then they pulled in about 5 minutes later. I helped move his gear over and then we left and headed back up to Eville. Once there I helped Tim restock and then I sat down and read the Sunday paper. Tim then laid down in the men's bunk room and I got on the computer and did a few things while I ate lunch. It was quiet the rest of the day with no calls. Wertz then came in around 19:50 hours and the three of us talked and Tim took his time leaving to head up to Lykens as he was still pissed at Jim for screwing him over. Once Tim left I said to Wertz about running up to Jo-Jo's to get something to eat and he said that he already ate. So I put an order in at Jo-Jo's and 20 minutes later we headed on up and I got my food and Wertz got a few things from over at Koppy's. We then headed back to the station and once there I ate dinner while I watched TV. Then around 21:20 hours the tones went off for a class 3 call in Lykens Township that the Lykens crew handeled. They ended up going to Pottsville. Then around 21:45 hours the tones went off for a fall victim, class 2 in Upper Paxton Township with us in place of Company 20. Me and Wertz got in 6-4 and off we went. We got down there and it ended up being a refusal and then we headed back to the station. Once there I finished watching my TV show and then did my chart around 24:00 hours. I then laid down in the BLS room around 01:05 hours and went to sleep. I woke up this morning at 07:45 hours when the alarm on my cell phone went off. I got up and got the stuff back on my belt and got my boots on and put my pillow away and then took my suitcase out into the day room. I then got my stuff out of 6-4 and then got on the computer to check a few things. I then heard Zach clock in and he took his stuff out to 6-4 and then went back into the day room. Wertz was still sleeping on the couch and I gave my report to Zach and then left to head on home. I stopped at Swab's to see if they had done anything new to the body and they hadn't so I left and headed on home. Once at home I changed into my pj's and went back to bed to get some more sleep. I woke up this afternoon at 12:00 hours. I got out of bed and ate lunch while I read the paper. I then went outside and got the mail and then rode my 5 miles on the exercise bike downstairs. My mother then came home and I helped her bring some things in and then we talked. I then ate dinner while I did a few things online and watched MASH on TV. I then changed into street clothes and headed up to the fire house around 18:00 hours. I got up there and went into the station and did my medical bag checks on the trucks and then headed up to the hall. LeeAnn and Katina pulled in as I was walking up to the hall. I went in and turned the heat up right away and then took the chairs off of the tables while LeeAnn and Katina put the wrapping paper back up on the back wall around the tree. The meeting went very fast and I am now the new Secretary for the fire company and the relief association. We were done with both of those meetings by 19:40 hours, which I think is a new record for us. They then had the fire police meeting and I left there around 21:30 hours and headed on home. Once at home I took a shower and am soon going to bed as I am tired.
